ENMAR Hardwood Flooring

This review is long overdue. Brian is awesome! We purchased gorgeous engineered hardwood for our main living areas from another company and had several installation issues (it was horrific). We contacted Brian at Enmar as we tried to navigate our options. He was professional, honest, and very helpful. Fast forward a year or so and we decided to put the same flooring in our bedrooms and reached right back out to Brian! He was great, he got the same material (because it really is beautiful), gave us a good quote, his team was pleasant, on-time, and had fantastic attention to detail...especially because I had such a poor experience with another company previously - I'm sure I was a little extra! Hands down, he is the guy, and if they carry it or can get it, Enmar is the company!!

Very knowledgeable and responsive.  Jhoan did a beautiful job in my home office.  Prices were competitive and the knowledge of wood flooring from Armando and the staff is top notch.  They provided several options to get the floor height level with the stone tile in the hallways.  I selected a thicker rubber underlayment.  They removed and replaced my baseboards.  There was one minor issue I noticed later, but the team responded right away to address it.  Overall I am very happy with the results and would definitely use Enmar again for any flooring work in my home.

Happy to share my excellent experience with Enmar. I was referred to them from my interior designer for my recent home purchase. From sampling to product selection to small batch ordering to scheduling to flexibility with changes to installation quality and solid communication through the whole process... Brian's communication was excellent. They were so easy to work with. They offered the kind of flexibility and accommodation that we used to be able to expect from service contractors but we all know is so very hard to find these days. His guys were very hard working, knowledgeable, skilled and respectful. The floors and new baseboards look stellar and I'm so happy to be able to recommend them to anybody.

If you are considering hardwood floors absolutely give Brian a visit.  I researched several places over a few months and I'm glad I found ENMAR.  I tried a few mobile companies which had limited selection and a few wholesale places which had the highest prices.  His store has a humongous selection of hardwood at unbeatable prices.  What I really liked is Brian deals with you one on one when you visit his store.  He is very knowledgeable about his craft and hardwood floor products.  I saved money after talking with him deciding to go with a completely different style and brand.  Because his place has such a big selection you can really get a sense of style and quality versus looking at pictures online.   His install team Carlos and Jared were awesome.  Professional, efficient and most importantly skilled.  They worked hard and left my home clean after the job was done.  Brian even picked up and delivered new baseboards to my home at no extra charge.  I am extremely happy with my new floors.  If you're like me and get several bids for a job, make sure ENMAR is one of them.  You will not be disappointed.

We had recently bought a house and wanted to put wood in the two front rooms and master bedroom.  I had no idea what the process was going to be, and Brian did an excellent job letting me know what to expect.  We had originally been interested in Bamboo, and Brian explained to us how that was not a great choice for our desert climate.  This made me feel like I had made the right choice because other places might have said, "ok whatever you want" just to make money.  I knew that Brian was upfront and honest and not just going to tell me what I wanted to hear.  I wanted someone who really knows wood, and Brian is that person.

If you are putting in wood floors, this is the place.  They are very knowledgeable and have awesome customer service.  I purchased flooring from them but used my contractor for installation.  That was a mistake!  We had some issues after the installation with hollow spots. The contractor send someone out to fix it and he made it worse.  After 3 days of work and their "fix", I had a raised piece of wood in the middle of the floor, staples in the floor and hollow spots. I called Brian for advice and while he didn't do the install, he sent someone out to give me a plan on how to fix.  
I worked it out with my contractor and Brian's team repaired my floor in about 4 hours.  
I can't recommend this company enough.  I would give them a 10!

Brian was helpful, patient, and friendly while we chose a flooring material from their showroom (which features only engineered hardwood). Although their selection is large, most of them were out of our budget. However, we were still able to find something for a reasonable price. The installation cost was competitive and included cutting the existing baseboards up a bit to fit the new flooring.

Flooring was ordered and arrived on time. Install crew was hard working and friendly. Although they did work pretty late and sometimes seemed like they were rushing. The end result looks great and Brian made sure we were happy. He happily agreed to fix the couple small issues and they did a great job making some difficult transitions to uneven tile.

A previous owner's remodel did not use the same size baseboards on one wall which left a gap with the new floor. Although not at all the fault of the installers, Brian offered to install new baseboards to fit if I was able to purchase them. True to his word, all small issues were rectified and the new baseboards were installed!

I would absolutely go back to Enmar Hardwood Flooring for my next job.

We choose Enmar due to the good reviews and talking with Brian. His pricing was good and he answered all our questions. He let us take multiple samples home as well to identify the best one for us and our house. The installers were great. Did an amazing job all around including cleaning. We have two more rooms to do and will be using an enmar again this year.

We used Enmar to install hardwood into some previously carpeted areas. The price was reasonable, Brian was professional and transparent, and the installers did an incredible job . We couldn't be happier with the new floors!

Great company. We did engineered hardwood on our entire second floor (Except bathrooms), stairways and a guest room on the first floor.  Armando took care of planning/managing our job and he did an excellent job. He is really knowledgeable about floors, and he never tried to sell one product over another. He answered ALL our questions and addressed all of our concerns. The installers, one of them named Carlos, worked fast, clean, and were very punctual. In addition, they explained every little detail of the installation as they went through. When they were finished, they left everything super clean. In addition they moved furniture around which a lot of other companies told me they did not. As far as pricing, I got about 4 additional estimates, and they were right within the ballpark. I decided to select them based on their knowledge, professionalism and the fact that they had a good variety of products in their store. We are extremely happy with the job, and I will definitely pick them again for any other flooring needs. I would recommend Enmar them to my family/friends without hesitation.

I had a wonderful experience with ENMAR.  My four rooms turned out beautifully and Carlos was GREAT.  He really went the extra mile to make sure my other floors were protected while he worked and he was super clean as well. He told me there would not be a lot of dust and he was correct.  I had little to do when he walked out the door.  He even used Boni floor cleaner on the completed floors so I had only to get the furniture back in place. They let me know when they would arrive and he kept me up to date every day on when they would finish the job so I could get my movers back in.  I researched a lot before I contracted this job and I relied on the reviews I read.  Thanks to everyone who submitted reviews so we could hire a reliable company!

I thought we were dealing with a water damaged floor, but when I reached out to Brian and sent him photos, he immediately called me back and let me know it looked like termites. Turns out he was right! So we treated the termites, and then two months later, when it was time to fix the floor, I reached out to Brian again. He was so incredibly helpful. He provided a quote for the floor fix and explained the work it would entail. He then provided another option and explained how it could be fixed with just a handyman or even my husband and myself. He also took a look at the extra flooring in our garage and suggested we bring it inside so the heat wouldn't warp it over time. Oh, and he took a look at a few other areas where I had questions about our floor and provided the answers I needed. After all that, we didn't have a need for him and his services. But he didn't seem to mind. What an honest, kind man! He clearly knows everything when it comes to flooring and he just wants to help. Didn't ask for a penny even though I took up an hour of his time.

Enmar Flooring did our vinyl flooring and we're happy with it overall. From cost estimate, materials, to finishing the job, Armando led the project and stayed on top of it. His team is knowledgable what's best and did it all in very timely manner. Everything about the project is detailed and communication is constant throughout. I highly recommend Enmar.

Enmar is the only place you need to go for your hardwood flooring needs.  Trust me, stay the hell out of Lumber Liquidators unless you want cheap garbage.

The owners are very personable, patient, and willing to go the extra mile for the sale.  We borrowed several sanples to take home to see how we liked it in the room.  We finally settled on a flooring and found out it was backordered.  We were bummed due to the urgency of getting our first baby's nursery completed.  Brian called the supplier and was able to get what we needed weeks ahead of the stated availability.

The installer was polite and courteous and worked quickly.  We are more than happy with the finished product.

Do yourselves a favor and check this place out.  The pricing is competitive and the customer service is exemplary.

It has been several months since the floors were installed and they still look great. Brian was very helpful and knowledgeable and guided us to the perfect floor for our room. Thanks to his patience and guidance we ended up with great floors. Will use ENMAR again in the future.

I recently had all of the tile flooring in our home removed and replaced with engineered wood.  I had interviewed four people for the job.  
Enmar was definitely the best as far as product, knowledge, helpfulness, price,  and just nice people with whom to do business!  Brian impressed me from the very beginning...especially when I asked about tile removal.
He took business away from his own company by telling me that they would remove the tile, but, honestly, we would be far better off to hire Colyn Macdonald of Kodiak Tile/Dustless Tile Removal. He was absolutely right in his recommendation...but, my main point is that he wanted what was BEST FOR THE CLIENT, at his own expense!
Brian is very easy going and always gave me the time I needed, to talk about concerns and to give his input to help ease the decision making process.  He is honest, and knowledgeable about his product.  His installers, Canice and Jerod were both pleasant people who were very easy to have working in the house. They were hard workers, (NO wasting of time while here, for sure!) knowledgeable and talented. Their work was exact, they were neat, and left absolutely no mess at all.  And...our dog fell in love with Canice.  hahaha  That says something.  
I have already recommended Enmar Flooring to several friends.  That  says something, as well!  It is my pleasure to be able to write a  five star recommendation for this company, its owner, its product, and its craftsmen.

We were considering using lumber liquidators or Home Depot, but happen to stumble across Enmar before we made a decision. After meeting with Brian, the owner, and seeing their flooring we decided to support a local small business.
Everything he said they'd do they did and we were very impressed with the work of the installers. They cleaned up after themselves before they left and answered all of our questions throughout the entire process. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family and we will probably have them do a couple more rooms as well.

Recently I had the need of Brian and his expert services.  I can not say enough about him as a professional in the wood flooring business but also as a good and honest man.

It only takes a few minutes talking to him to see how well he knows his business.  It really is great to work with someone as knowledgable as Bryan.  Not only was he able to answer all of my questions but was able to teach my husband and me things we had never even considered.

He was honest and forthright with us in all aspects of our needs, never selling us in the least.  He was most concerned about our happiness and not about his company getting the job.

He also pays his installers more than most companies and pays them in a way that they are rewarded for getting the install job perfect, not fast. Yet even with that they move along very quickly.

It was our great pleasure meeting Brian.  We are so happy we found him.  If I ever have to have another wood floor installed I would not hesitate for a second. Brian is the man to work with when it comes to wood flooring.

I recently had Enmar replace our stairs and loft that was carpeted with hardwood flooring. Brian was very helpful in explaining the different types of wood and what would work best for us. I was able to take several samples home and decide what we wanted to do , without any pressure.
The flooring has been in about a month and we are extremely pleased with the results. The process was as painless as any remodel can be. Brian's crew was wonderful to deal with and very professional. There were a few items that needed attention after the install and Brian got them right out to fix it. I love how my stairs and loft look and when the kids go back to school I am going to do my formal living and dining rooms.

We wanted wood flooring in our upstairs loft and master bedroom.  Brian let us take whatever samples home and was very helpful explaining different options we considered.  

We were very pleased when the flooring we picked arrived.  It exceeded our expectations.  The install was very professional and above and beyond what we generally have come to expect in this day and age.  Our install guy took great pride in his workmanship both with the flooring and the baseboards we had purchased.

I would recommend these guys to anyone considering wood floors!  You can scrounge around for a better deal, but it will be for an inferior product and you definitely won't get the quality install you'd get with these guys!

I came across Enmar on a whim but so happy I did! I talked with several other companies -- mostly because I saw ads for them or discount coupons (which really weren't discounts). The showroom is really cool, and Brian (the owner) really knows his stuff. He was not pushy whatsoever, very kind, very knowledgeable, and really a genuine good guy. Enmar offers a lot of the very nice, very unique woods. For every wood I considered, Brian was able to help me thing through quality, durability, care, and educated me so much in the process. His knowledge is an incredible added value. I had my floors done in April and they are gorgeous. I willl be doing a few more rooms when I get the chance. If there was 10 stars to give, I would give Brian and Enmar a 10!

As to the earlier bad review from another reviewer, I think Brian bought the company just a few years ago, so that review has nothing to do with the current business or ownership.

I went back to Enmar to get another room done. All flooring previously installed is in great shape, and I have had no issues. The latest work was one more room. Brian found my wood quickly and negotiated a discount for me. What I most appreciated though is that the installers (Canice and team) were diligent and conscientious! They knew I was concerned about the mess (and flooring install tends to be messy). So, they took extra effort to contain it to the room at hand. They worked through the window, so they didn't have to drag things back and forth through my house. They worked quickly and were super neat. Thank you again Enmar. Thank you especially Canice -- you are wonderful!

My wife and I did our research before choosing ENMAR and we are very pleased with every step of this process. We thought we knew which type of wood color would work, but we didn't. Brian helped save us some time by pointing us in the right direction and encouraging us to look at the wood samples in the daylight and night. We couldn't be happier with our classy wood floor. Other people have the fake wood or the wood dividers that separate wood from tile. Ours is real and solid and soft wood and flush with our tile. This is my first review of anyone and only because this company deserves the recognition.

The owner actually opened the store after hours to go over all the options and educate us on hardwood.  This guy truly cares about his customers and loves what he does.  Great guy, great service, beautiful showroom and products.  I am not sure if these options are right for us as we are still debating on what we really want but if you want hardwood, this is definitely the place to go.  I would give them 10 stars if I could.

This was our second trip to Enmar.  The first one, about 18 months ago worked out so well that we decided we'd make this our hardwood go-to.  Surprised to find it under new ownership, we became comfortable with Brian's helpful and friendly attitude, and deep knowledge right away.

Last time we had our dining room floor installed by them.  We were very pleased with the outcome, value and timeliness.  This trip we were just looking for materials to extend the job ourselves.  When it looked like the materials might run a day late, Brian called us to explain.  Turned out, they got here on time, and were delivered the next business day.

My experience with ENMAR Hardwood Flooring has been nothing short of perfect. Brian is so knowledgeable and explains everything! He helped me choose a flooring that I am thrilled with. His installation team, Carlos and Jhoan were proffessional, friendly and so helpful. Their work ethic is great. They did a wonderful job, moving furniture removing old carpet and pad, they installed my lovely new floors, put everything back were it belonged and thoroughly cleaned up! Recently, we had wood floors installed in three rooms in our home.  After visiting several local businesses and agonizing over which company to select, we found Enmar and owner Brian Flynn.  Brian answered all of our questions, alleviated our anxieties and gave us a very competitive price.  Brian gave us the experience of his vast knowledge of the flooring business, provided endless samples from which to make our selection and made good on every single promise in the contract.  We can't say enough about  his dedicated, in house,  installation team. True tradesmen, willing to go above and beyond to meet our every need. Carlos and Johan met our time table, moved our furniture with extreme care, completed the job professionally,  and left the job site as clean as when they started.  During the 3 day process, Brian visited our home and checked on the job, his crew, and asked if we had any issues.  Honestly, we have never had a better experience, with home remodeling and contractor work. I definitely will use Enmar again for flooring needs and will recommend Enmar and Brian Flynn and his staff to our friends and neighbors.

Customer service during sale ok, but they made up for it during install. My job was 11x14.  With carpet removal and install all in the same day it took about 5 hours. We love our new floor !  Installer was prompt and cleaned up the area before he left. We are very satisfied with the final job. Thanks Enmar.

We searched all over the valley for a company to install floors in our home.  Bryan was by far the easiest to work with and was very reasonably priced.  Johnny installed our floors and was very efficient and very informative during the entire install process.  I would recommend them to anyone that wants the best price with professional service.

After reading all the great reviews on Yelp, I called Brian to discuss a project. The conversation was pleasant and he seemed very helpful, ending the conversation with an invite "to visit his showroom to make a final product selection." I live roughy 45 minutes away from his showroom, in Peoria, so a few days later I made the journey only to discover a letter on the door of his showroom that says "at a job site, call me at (phone number)." When I call, with ZERO empathy, Brian says "he will be back in a couple of hours and can meet me then." At no point during our conversation or on the website was their a recommendation to schedule an appointment, only that appointments are available before/after the advertised hours, "10:00AM-5:00PM". I am very disappointed. Lesson here, only go the the showroom with an appointment, advertised hours obviously mean nothing to them and neither does customer service when they mess up.

These guys have a great show room and they really spent the time to go over all my options. Very pleased with their work and price. I would recommend to friends and my family.

We used Enmar a year or so ago.  Loved the job they did.  My floor was lifting a bit on one panel, I called for a warranty repair.  They were great.  They fixed my floor and it looks beautiful once again.  They did an exceptional job of cleaning up after themselves when they were finished.  Highly recommend.

I have to say I am looking forward to writing this review.  I purchased a home that was in desperate need of new flooring.  When I checked out yelp and saw the positive reviews for Enmar I knew I had to check it out!  It was a pleasure dealing with Brian.  He was very knowledgeable and walked me through the process of selecting the right hardwood.  I have to say I selected Brian first as someone I wanted to deal with and the hardwood came second!  He was honest about what type of wood would work and what would not in my home.  He even talked me into a less expensive wood because he knew it was a better fit for me.  You cant find that kind of customer service very many places these days.  The installer did a great job and I have received many compliments on my new hardwood.   I searched many places before visiting Enmar and I am glad I finally made it there!

I couldn't be more pleased with our beautiful new wood floors from Enmar and the skill of the installers. I did my research and visited more flooring companies than I like to admit. It was clear from the start that Brian has a love of wood, an artists eye and ability to guide you through this process with ease. Although I had originally planned on laying the floor on the diagonal, Brian explained how the grain is more visible when it runs the way the room lives. Once I saw what he was talking about I couldn't agree more. This was one of the few companies that offered seamless transitions to tiled areas and no quarter round under cabinets, giving you a much cleaner more up to date look.  The professionalism, craftsmanship and willingness to do whatever it took to make you happy made this entire process a breeze. I have already recommended Enmar to several friends and will complete the rest of y home with them when the time comes. Thank you, Brian, and Thank you to your incredible installers.

BUYER BEWARE:  They are trying to charge for install of materials they never install.

I visited the show room and was helped by a man named Patrick.  He was very nice and together we picked out wood for my home.  He told me the cost of the materials ($4.40/sq ft) and the install price of $3.18 a sq ft which was to include: tear out of existing floor and baseboard, the glue for the new wood floors, and re-installation of the baseboard.  He indicated he would have it written up and a contract would be send over to sign via email shortly.  Tricia did so, but the contract was not as agreed.  It added $100 for tear out and re-installation of baseboard.  I called and spoke with Patrick and he indicated he would speak with Tricia and correct it.  They phoned two days later and said he was wrong and they needed to charge the extra $100.  I indicated that I would pull off and reinstall the baseboard myself and to adjust and resend the contract accordingly.  They did so, but then added extra cost in the way of trying to charge me for the install of waste materials (6%).  This is the extra wood cuts that I have already paid for and do not actually get installed, but thrown away.  I called Patrick and he said that is a mistake, and they do not charge for that and he indicated he would have Tricia correct and resend the contract that day.  3 days past and nothing was sent so I called and spoke with Tricia.  She was extremely rude and hostile and indicated that they normally do not charge for this, but since I was using a promotion they were having, they were adding it on.  I said that sounded unreasonable and a little like discrimination.  She hung up the phone.The problem to all this lays in the fact that I came into the store and agreed to Patrick's terms and then paid $500 to enter their promotion.  So now I am stuck in the promotion and work has still not been done.

I have filed this complaint against them to the BBB.org and will also file a complaint with ROC should it not be addressed properly. People deserve to know about their dishonesty.

They did outstanding install of engineered hardwood flooring on two bedrooms and two hallways.  Brian, the owner, went out of his way to find materials.  Initially, we considered using Home Depot with their engineered hardwood flooring. They outsource it to another company but we were not entirely confident.  Besides, we like using "mom and pop" companies.

He used a subcontractor named Mike Sharp.  His group works very hard & he can handle many unforeseen situations.  For example, we had a crack in the foundation where he did a wonderful patch so that the flooring would be smooth.  Also, he did quite a bit of undercutting of the baseboards.  The hardwood flooring fits about an eighth to a quarter inch under the baseboard.

(tip: learn the difference between installing regular hardwood flooring and engineered hardwood flooring.  We've had engineered custom hardwood flooring in a large area near our front door for 20 years and it takes a lot of abuse.  It can be refinished easily every 10-13 years.)

(another tip: ALWAYS use a licensed contractor.  ALWAYS check the website of the Arizona Registrar of Contractors to see if they have any unresolved complaints.  Some companies claim they are licensed but they are not.)

We found ENMAR when we were looking to replace some carpet in our living and dining rooms.  After meeting with Brian there was no doubt that he knew what he was talking about and we could trust him with this investment.  He was very willing to answer any questions, give us suggestions on what might be the best fit for our plan, and not at all pushy.  After we selected our flooring, he came out to the house to measure and then placed our order.  The price was very fair, and the turnaround time was quick.  The installation team was very professional and talented and did a terrific job.  We are in love with our new floor and are very confident that there was no better company that we could have done business with.

Let me start by saying this post is long overdue and that I rarely comment on Yelp, but Brian and his team at Enmar deserve the positive feedback. My story begins almost a year ago where I had gone with Western States Flooring through Costco to install wood floors in our master bedroom. Long story short, Western States Flooring messed up the install. They left large gaps between boards, damaged the baseboards and installed all the small boards on one side of the room and all of the large boards on the other. My wife and I were beyond frustrated. We had just spent thousands of dollars on a glued down floor that we hated. Now enter Enmar and team. My wife and I stopped into Brian's store and told him our story. Brian offered to have Canice, his lead installer, and him come by to inspect the install done by Western States. They inspected the install and commented on what they saw that Western States did wrong and how their install process differs. It took a couple of months, but eventually Western States agreed to remove the wood floor and refunded me my money.  Brian and Canice oversaw the removal to ensure Western States did it properly.  Their extra effort earned our trust and we happily hired them to install different wood flooring in our master bedroom. It has been 6 months since their install and we love the flooring. Not only was it installed well, but the quality of the flooring is much better than what we originally purchased through Western States.  We subsequently hired them to install wood flooring in our dining room and den. I highly recommend Enmar flooring. Brian is an excellent small business owner and has a great installation team. I plan on using them again.

Brian went the extra mile for us!  He has a great selection in his store, but we ended up finding what we wanted elsewhere.  We enjoyed our interaction with Brian so much on our first visit to his store that we called him back to see about the flooring we wanted.  Brian not only was able to obtain the flooring, but his estimate for the product, removal, and install was the best price we could find.  He also made everything happen in a timely manner so that we could have our floors installed on schedule before the holidays.  His team that worked on the removal and installation were super polite, and considerate in how they put up tools and materials at the end of each day since we have small children in the home.  Brian also answered all of our questions throughout the project and we felt taken care of the entire time.  Having done a lot of remodeling in the past and having worked with lots of vendors and suppliers, I put Brian at the top of the list of who I would want to work without reservation.

I am writing this review several months after the fact as my wife and I had beautiful new Hardwood flooring from ENMAR installed in our home in April.  When my wife and I first walked into ENMAR, Brian politely came up to us and introduced himself and showed us a variety of types of flooring we might be interested in and fully explained some of the reasons we might like one style or another.  He also allowed us to take up to 5 samples home with us so as to let them sit in different lighting conditions and get a feel for the look throughout different times of the day.  Upon deciding on our choice, we met with Brian to discuss the price and date of installation.  He was very flexible and told us who the guys were that we should be expecting on the date of installation.  His men arrived promptly at 8am that day and began right away.  Kiff and Drew were awesome!  They did their work quickly, promptly, and even let me get in the way from time to time so I could take many before and after pictures as the project was progressing.  These guys were unreal.   Granted we don't have a large home by any means, but they arrived at 8am and by 3pm they had ripped out ALL the old carpeting out and laid down all the Hardwood flooring.  My wife and I were way beyond pleased at how beautiful the project turned out and family and friends were also amazed as well.   Soon after we went to see Brian and thanked him for a job well done.

Actually driving home after visiting a few of the big box stores when I saw Enmar.  I came back the next day to browse, and was immediately impressed.  The showroom is as good as it gets, and Brian the owner spent over an hour talking wood flooring even though I was just "window shopping". Can't say enough about how helpful, and patient he was.  Plus he really knows his stuff!   There was absolutely no pressure, and he really took the time to answer all my questions.  This is absolutely the place to go for your flooring.  Quality, selection, service and reasonable pricing all in one.  We couldn't be happier with our experience, and would recommend Enmar to all family and friends.
