Damage Control was founded in 2002 and is a family-owned full service water mitigation company. Since 2002, our services have expanded to include mold remediation, asbestos abatement, bio-hazard/trauma cleanup, structure/fire/smoke cleaning, content/personal property pack-out, pack-back, & cleaning, along with many other insurance & non-insurance related services.
ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER
While Damage Control has several Business Owners, Gary and his son Sonny were the ones to start the business in 2002. Initially, it was just the two of them doing carpet cleans as subcontractors, but their business truly started to expand when a Home Builder saw their value and contracted to work with them. As their business began to grow, they brought on Tyson, who now manages the asbestos abatement division, and Gary's son Griffin, who now manages the accounting department. Their business and offered services continued to expand as they acquired additional licenses, certifications, and skilled tradesman, until they brought on Derec in 2007. Derec is a general contractor and has been in the restoration business for 15 years, so when he came on board in 2007, they founded Damage Control's sister company, DC Restoration, and expanded it's services to include repairs, construction, restoration, etc. The business is a passion project for the owners and it continues to grow to this day.

I called Jim and he came to the house next day. He is always nice and pleasant to be with.
We signed the paper and he said I was next and he will start next week. Next week came and went with no call. Took 2weeks before I got the call. I won't take a star cuz I used to be a tile contractor and sometimes jobs take longer.
The crew came today and we talked about how I would like to live while the damage repair goes on. No arguing, just work. They made a great plastic wall so I have my side and they have theirs. So far, 5 stars.
3 and I can't find anything wrong with these guys.. polite workaholics.. Still 5 stars.
Thank you Kelly and the A team. You not only gave me a beautiful job, gave me my home back, but most of all, the best day I've had this year.
Now I have my property back. However, my bed frame is broken, they broke a $400 sculpture, and stuck clothing that was never cleaned in boxes with clean clothes so they stink too. I have worked 30 hours thus far doing the inventory I paid them to do. They completely took advantage of me as I am physically disabled and was unable to do this myself. I fell for sonny's sales pitch and thought they would do their job. I also need to wash everything agin because they stuck things that were non salvageable in with clean things. Every thing i paid them was a complete waste of money. DO NOT HIRE
My water heater flooded my garage in Oct. did a little damage to the dry wall. They came torn up about 2 feet of dry wall took off my base boards. Cut out the carpet that had water damage left the room 1/2 carpeted. Several months later I still have a room with 1/2 carpet missing dry wall. They gave my insurance company a quote $5000. Which they are charging $2,500 to paint a 1 car garage.
I don't know what to do my insurance company paid them. For unfinished work. I have contacted them several times with no response.
I would have better results saved money if I didn't use my insurance. It would have cost less then my deductible.
DC Restoration is the best, you wont find any better! They took care of us like no other contractor could. Our problem began with what we thought was a small water leak near a window and some rotting of an area of our hard wood floor. DC Restoration brought in a project manager and started working with our insurance company on the repair. However, they quickly discovered the water damage was much more significant that was evident on the surface. They uncovered rotten floor sub-structures, trusses, and weight bearing beams on all 3 stories of our home. Due to the newly discovered complexity of the job, DC Restoration brought in one of their owners to manage the work with his unmatched expertise.
DC Restoration, solutioned all the water damage issues, coordinated with the sub-contractors and our insurance company, and even helped us pick out tile and paint options. In the end our home looks better and is in better shape than when it was built. These guys are true professionals and the very best at what they do!
We could not have gotten through this without the considerate leadership and determination of the whole DC Restoration crew. A special thanks DC Restoration's owners, Derec Bradshaw and Brandon Cluff, and San Antonio lead, Mike Rose. You gave us peace of mind through an agonizing ordeal.

I'm pretty sure this company has ties with insurance company because they do sub part of the video work but get all the insurance claims business DC restorations most likely getting kicked backs to the insurance company Always be very weary of a business that shows up in the middle of the night when you're in your worst position like your house just burned down and DC is there and take full advantage of it Be careful people very careful

Took months to fix some stuff on my house took the insurance money from my home and didn't do the work left me without power for months worst company ever do not use them nothing but headaches and lies from the they try to screw you and keep the money
Worst company ever. They make promises they cannot keep, no matter your loss. It is only about money, and if you will tolerate their incompetance. They do not care about the people they work for.
The people at DC are what make this company special. They have a way of taking something horrible and making it something better than it was!
I wouldn't let anyone else touch my home.

after less than a year from our kitchen fiasco our entire faucet that they put back in order leaked in 3 places and caused mold and serious water damage again! our whole kitchen is probably going to need remodeled again! definitely dont use! a year later and still dealing with the screw ups from them.
Following the poor quality work which was completed by a subcontractor of AZ Contracting. My home received quite a bit of water damage during the peak of the monsoon season. Damage Control handled the clean-up, and their sister company, DC Restoration handled the repairs. During the inspection, they also noticed the telltale signs of water damage in a second area that had gone unnoticed by me.
Throughout the process, Scott and Jon, of their respective companies, were both highly responsive and communication was never an issue. Each was able to answer any of my questions, as well as inform me of any options that I had not known were possible.
Following the clean-up, and again, after the repairs were complete, they came out to inspect the work and to also ensure that I was satisfied.

Recently working with this company and will never refer to anyone. Ive Been out of my house for 3 months and decided to go with another company to finish my house. Very disappointed. Extremely poor communication and takes them forever to respond. Over charge my insurance for work they claimed they did. Failed to provide correct documentation. THE LIST GOES ON AND ON !!

I'll add to all the other bad reviews! Its really sad because my flood mitigation was done promptly and I couldn't be happier with the dry out. Unfortunately the restoration piece was a nightmare. The work that was done was good. The communication by Don was the pitts. I am still waiting for the drawers to be built into my vanity, and I'm sure they were paid by the insurance company because I signed off as complete with one item needing work. They are slow slow slow for minor work. Believe me I will never use them again! Shame on Nationwide for keeping them in their roster of people to help you with a disaster, because they add to your stress!
Had several issues with this company trying to get our kitchen repaired after a plumbing leak and subsequent mold damage. The damage control side of the business which took care of the mold remediation was excellent. Prompt, courteous and had the problem done on time. The restoration side was a challenge. Tiles on the floor and walls were broken and scratched. Paint was applied that was the wrong sheen. Cabinets were not reinstalled properly and the appliances that were moved were not installed correctly.
After several frustrating calls and empty promises we ended up going a different direction.
If their service is anything like their driving then I would stay far, far, far away.
Some jackass in a Jeep with the company logo plastered all over it was driving like a complete idiot today on I17 / I10.
Single person in the Jeep weaving in and out of the HOV and fast lane and generally putting the lives in danger of anyone around them.
Go ahead and respond here and tell me you had a child in the back which allowed you to drive in the HOV lane. Go ahead, I dare you because that will only make your careless driving even more dangerous.
If you're going to drive like a total DICK, perhaps you shouldn't be advertising your company while doing it...
My husband committed suicide by shooting himself with a shotgun. Next to his truck with an open door. The guys came out that night to do the cleanup, so service was fast, and they were very kind. When I finally could get myself to look at the truck after a few weeks, I noticed that there was still a lot of stuff all over the door frame, grab handle, headliner, dash.... in my state of mind at the time, I just couldn't deal with it. About another month later, I was finally able to make myself go out there and clean up the mess that they left behind. Essentially, these guys picked up the bigger pieces, took out the seat cover, and called it good. Then they charged me $450 for the job. Maybe if you can inspect the job before they leave, they'll do better, but in my situation, I couldn't, and it just wasn't good.
If there was an option to give this company negative stars, I would gladly do so. The owner of this company should message me directly so I can let them know about the horrible service we are and have had with them. Avoid using this company. They were contracted by our insurance company from the horrible storms from September and they have been horrible at communicating, billing, scheduling, estimators are not friendly. Their sister company Damage Control deserves high ratings, while DC Restoration does not.
We had to get some work done at our house and a friend recommended this company. First, the workers were so nice and very thorough. They even came back to check on everything when they were done and the paint had dried. Second, they did a great job and I am so happy with their work!

There is no one better. After an unfortunate contractor flooded our home and then sent out a homeless looking restoration company to repair our floors, our insurance recommended Damage Control to us. They were there within an hour with three professional, hardworking employees. They got right to work. They were thorough, compassionate, and EXCEPTIONALLY clean! So grateful for their help.

DC Restoration. Do not use them. To many other good choices. They have a really nice 'front man' .He makes you believe they are going to be quick and efficient and that they know what they are doing. They put on a new roof for me that was previously hail damaged. It took over a Month to do a house that is only about 1,700 Sq ft ! Not exaggerated! Sloppy and slow.
DC Restoration came to our house to fix the roof and interior water damage to our house. They did a wonderful job and communicate very well along the process. They were pleasant, very professional and efficient while doing their work. The initial estimate phase to the final clean up were all good experiences for me and my wife. They allowed us to do a final inspection and when we had questions or concerns, they either answered the question or fixed any minor issue that we brought up. We even had some flashing come up during one of the storms, post repairs, so we called them and they were out that day to check the roof and fix the flashing. Thanks to them and to their team.
Insurance referred, DC took a long time to restore home from fire damage..Customer service is friendly and helpful..Adjuster answered all questions and great suggestions..
I can't say enough good things about this company. My apartment flooded and Damage Control was contracted with my insurance agency to come out and take care of the mess. Blake was so amazing and understanding when he came out to assess the damage and go over with me what will need to happen the next couple of days. The following Day, Gilbert and Eric came out and took inventory of everything and were so understanding while I cried about the memories that I lost. They were so amazing and professional! The next day Luis came out with his team and of course Eric and Gilbert, and they packed everything and moved me out of my apartment. They helped me find a storage space close to where i'll eventually be moving to, and when I got the wrong size, Luis advised me to get a bigger space with air conditioning so nothing gets damaged in the AZ heat. I seriously can't say enough good things about them and how they helped me. From beginning to end, the entire team was just incredible. My life was flipped upside down over night and my apartment complex was so rude and inconsiderate about my loss. I had to be out of my place in a weeks time, and this company was absolutely incredible! I would recommend them to any and all people who need this type of assistance during a transition.

DC was fast to get on top of the mitigation when my plumbing sprung a leak! Jeremy was knowledgeable and helped by working around my work schedule. Scott R. Came out the next day as planned to survey the damage, then lined up a plumber for me. CTL plumbing, Jared and Chad, we're honest hard workers and I would use them again for any of my plumbing needs! Sunny in the office was amazing! She was very understanding of my situation and was able to help me make payment arrangements. I will definitely be referring DC to anyone who needs them, as well as CTL plumbing!
Literally the worst company I have EVER worked with. They charged me over $9000 for the cleaning of my cupboards after a fire. Not only that, but after 6 weeks of waiting for them to come paint and even longer of waiting for them to return and reinstall my cabinets, they return broken and still dirty. And, they have charged me an additional $5000 for painting cleanup when they never actually painted, I hired a different company!! DO NOT HIRE!!!
Nicole Frizzell was awesome she talked me through process made me feel really at ease. Tremendous response time wonderful service extremely pleased with the result addressed my water damage and now it's like it never happened. Highly recommend!!!
This company is amazing! I had Damage Control come out to do a remodel on my kitchen and family room. Brandon was awesome, he always kept me up to date and answered my phone calls right away. They also finished before I was expecting. So happy!

If you are ever in need of damage control I would say call DC Restoration hands down.They saved us when our home flooded clear thru. Without they're intervention we would not have the beautiful home we have today! This company fought for us to get the repairs needed. We never experienced any lag in time and DC Restoration finished on the date promised. Thank you Derec Bradshaw and our buddy Paul Martos for all you did for us!!! We can never thank you enough
USAA Insurance convinced the homeowner to use DC Restoration for the damage caused by the water heater rupturing. Upon notification that the garage, the kitchen, part of the dining rm and a tiny section of the living room had water damage, I called a carpet and restoration company to come out and pull the wet padding and put fans on the carpet and slab. I also called a plumber to replace the water heater. We were all at the property within 1 hour of my being told about the damage. The owner called USAA and later I met the DC Restoration guy in charge, Brandon. He did a write up of the damage to give to USAA. The work should have been completed in two weeks. Unfortunately DC Restoration doesn't have their own workers and they pass off the work to a sub contractor, who then has his employees or some laborers do the work. I found most of those laborers did not speak English and some had no idea what they were doing, nor the tools to do the job properly. The 2 week job turned into 2 months. The 2 supervisors didn't know anything about repairs, never came or called when they were suppose to meet with me. They never let the tenant, an elderly lady on oxygen, know when they were coming. Finally Mike, the owner of the company, came in and got the job finished. The painters who painted the garage used cheap, flat paint and proceeded to get paint over several items that belonged to the tenant. I have never worked with such a horrible company and I have been a property manager for 34 years.
Damage Control was arranged by our insurance company to pack out our belongings due to water damage so repairs can be done. The crew that came was amazing. They showed up on time, called ahead to say they were on the way, were courteous, organized, efficient and helpful walking us through the process. Everything had been covered in dust from the demo work and they wiped it down as they wrapped and boxed things up. Luis supervised and organized the process while keeping me informed all morning knowing we were in a time crunch. They worked around our availability.
I suggest you DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY if you want your house fixed. This company has HORRIBLE service. They were referred by my friend's insurance company so we thought they were good. They did some work on the flooding of the AC. My friend called them back because they kept putting off the time they were supposed to finish the work. 12 DAYS LATER and after numerous calls and messages to DC restoration they still never got back to the client about finishing the work they started. After they finally called back, the client complained about them not getting back to the client to finish the work. They did not even apologize and told the client to use another company! Very unprofessional.

Never, Never use this company, they lie, destroy you home then walk of the job and threaten to sue you if you don't pay them, this people should loose their licence. If a Insurance company recommends them DON'T USE THEM, it is your right to use any contractor you want. These are very bad people

Buyer Beware! This company was contracted by the insureance company to cover a flooded basement. The ground level house was boarded off (hard screwed to walls to build a new wall) to avoid contractor traffic upstairs. The contractor expressed dissatisfaction with the fact it was walled off. At a later time, the contractor broke in to the upstairs to measure carpet and never requested access. In the process, they destoyed a dry walled wall and knocked wall decorations to the groud as they demoed the temporay wall. They claim to have called and got no answer, however they left no messages. This company is a horrible contractor with poor ethics. Do not let them anywhere near your home. They deserve 0 stars but the system forced me to 1.

Goodness gracious is DC Restoration a terrible company. We had a minor flood in our house in April, it is now early June. The two individuals who came out that night were very efficient and helpful. They ripped out our baseboards, several pieces of drywall, and the carpet in three bedrooms. New people came on a Thursday a month after the flood and took the furniture out of our house, which has forced us to a family member's house--with several pets. They did not listen when we told them to leave things; they even took a whole container of life-saving medicine to their storage center and took three days to bring it back! We now have to wait for them to bring paperwork, which they are delaying with; Bill is who we are in direct contact with, and he does not proofread his texts (the words you're an idiot came through) nor provide sufficient information. I wish I could give them zero stars. I would NOT recommend them to anyone! Unfortunately, they are who our insurance sent us to. Otherwise, we would be using another, more efficient company that sticks to a set and prompt schedule.
Recently had a broken water heater that flooded the house because of improper slope to garage floor by builder. The water ran in to the guest room and beyond instead of flowing out the front of the garage. Beware! Our insurance company engaged the services of this company, they came and surveyed the damage immediately, and then scheduled the appropriate contractors to replace insulation, replace drywall, paint, clean and sanitize the carpet, etc. Instead of me as an individual having to get the appropriate sub-contractors, everything was handled by DC Restoration in a pleasant and professional manner. Brandon Cluff was assigned to us as the project coordinator and he gets an A++ for his knowledge, skill, and customer relations. All items were handled in a very short period of time and to best workmanship standards.
I cannot write enough positive things about DC Restoration. When our new house burned down days before we were to move in, several people- from the fire investigator to the insurance company to friends recommended DC Restoration. They gave us a detailed timeline (and have stuck to it religiously) and we have weekly meeting to walk through the house and discuss the progress and renovations. We work with Derec Bradshaw and Brandon Cluff and trust them implicitly. They are honest, fair, kind and ON TOP OF IT!
