Trusting your home, your biggest asset, to any painting company is a scary thing. We did extensive research before making our selection. We hit the jackpot with Crash of Rhinos: A very professional estimate, a thorough explanation of options/costs, timely and accurate follow-through by the office staff, reliable scheduling, and prompt answers to our questions or concerns as they arose. We were made an integral part of the process, which put our minds at ease. Things got even better when the big day came: Courteous, talented and communicative technicians, a daily explanation of the process and expectations, close oversight by all levels of management including the owner, and daily reports from the moment they power-washed the home until the last drop of paint was applied. Our home was in dire need of preservation: significant wood degradation and stucco damage. Our crew led by Christian Villagomez used industry-proven techiques to repair and preserve all surfaces in a way that made our home look nearly new. Showed up on time, pleasant (for the most part). I like to be included during inspection; I wasn't. After his inspection he showed me everything on his computer. No electronic copy for me. He said smirkingly, he had recommendations if I needed a handyman. No thanks! Just because I'm a woman doesn't mean I can't do home projects perfectly. I don't appreciate the insult!

I lost interest in doing business after the insult.

This company is professional from beginning to end of the job. They email and text you every step of the way, provide transparent pricing, invoices and pictures of the pre work and completed project. I give Crash of Rhinos Painting 10 stars. This painting company is very trustworthy, communicative, and stands behind their service .

Crash of Rhinos offers a color consult with 3d renders ( small cost involved) with their expert color consult Kim. She spent time to listen to my concerns and to help create a color palette for the body of my house, eves, and all the pop outs i have to go with my orange tile roof. She helped me narrow my color choice down to two different options, then sent me a color rendering to help me decide how to apply the colors to my home. I saw it before it was painted. It was fabulous.

There coordinator Megan, is very helpful and responds to emails very quickly and is willing to answer any and all questions. If she is unsure, she directs you to the individual within the company that can.

Sharon is the site manager who walks the property with the client and notates every concern and relays the message to the painting supervisor onsite at the job.

They are orgainized, pay attention to detail , and are willing to return to fix any concerns that were missed or just need a little more painting love. Every one of their painters was respectful and cleanup their mess at the end of the day.

I am grateful to Crash of Rhinos for their all around concern for the client and the pride that they take as a company in their job.

I highly recommend them for your exterior painting needs. (they only focus on exterior not interior)
My house was a hot mess and they scraped off all the dead wood, filled it in , dry lock was applied where needed.
The prep work that they did was amazing even before the paint and primer my house felt different.

I am grateful I found Crash of Rhinos to paint the exterior of my home.

Very pleased with the whole process of hiring Crash of Rhinos. Starting with the estimator being very knowledgeable and friendly. Then the office ladies with scheduling and help picking paint colors.
The painters were friendly and very professional. They taped plastic on everything needed before power washing. They took pride in their work filling noticeable voids and priming needed areas. Another quality thing I noticed is No Watering Down the Paint !
They really give you a quality job and no hassle touching up areas you may notice.

We really did our homework, received 8 estimates for exterior painting, and the prices were all over the place, as was the professionalism of those conducting the estimates(!).
Crash of Rhinos was not the cheapest, not the priciest, but what made us choose them was their attention to details as they inspected our house and provided their estimate. They pointed out stucco defects which would require necessary corrections, larger cracks that would require even more attention, and presented us with a proposal that was detailed to the point that we knew this was the right painting company for us.

They started when they said they would start, they were present everyday at the precise time they were to start, and ended the day when they said they would. We received updates every day, with photos on progress, via email. The team lead, John, and his crew were clean, polite, respectful and put in a full days work...no goofing off, no down time. They were most attentive to detail, and answered and resolved all our questions ASAP. True professionals.

We told Shannon, the field manager, and John, that they really have written the book on how to be exceptional contractors and homeowner-focused. We couldn't be more satisfied with their quality work, and a 7 year warranty to boot!

Our 2-story stucco house was in serious need of painting. The last paint was done over 10 years ago and it was starting to show. Plus we had some new wood from a roof repair.
The company consulted and advised us on paint colors and shades of brightness, and how to choose from our HOA-approved palette.
Edwin was the supervisor on our crew. He was an excellent communicator.
The crew paid very close attention to detail from prep to cleanup.

No attention to detail, they trashed my miniature plant collection, our $5k couch cushions were dirtied then ripped and they left paint chips all over the property. We must hire additional painters to paint what they missed.

I could not be happier with job that was done by Crash of Rhinos in both painting my house and redoing the gate. I have never written a review for YELP before, so understand that what I have to say about Crash of Rhinos is heartfelt. This is one AMAZING company. After more than 30 years, our house needed a new paint job on its exterior. The original paint was white with some yellow in it and an orange trim. That white color and the orange trim was so 1980's because the house was built in 1989. In our preliminary appoointment, we chose a muted white (I wanted to be able to look at our house without squinting) and a dark brown for the trim. The trim is the most notable color change. The white makes the house stand out. (Check out the photos below.)
First, the crew power-washed the home. Afterwards, we saw what the house looked when we first moved in. Wow! The crew spent three more days working on the house, painting it, and then making the final touch ups on a Monday morning. They repaired four holes in our second floor siding caused by an angry woodpecker which I had to cover with small sections of sheet metal to deter the little !@##%^. They filled in the minor cracks in the first floor brick work that were the result of foundation settling over the past three decades. They repaired a crack in our double garage door that had been there for 20 years, as well as other holes in our stucco. They dug the ground away from the base of the walls, so they could paint BELOW the ground line.
They painted only after they had protected every window and door with plastic sheeting which they also laid on our driveway and patio to prevent paint splatters.
This was a professional job!!

We had our house painted just before Christmas and we are so happy with Crash of Rhinos and their incredible service. They are so detail oriented and communicate with you daily throughout the process on what they will be doing. Starting with the bid/estimate (which was in line with our expectations)- they came out promptly and walked the exterior of the house providing details and what they would be doing, sending the contract electronically and then scheduling. Everything was so organized- we had several weeks before ours was actually done (they are busy and fill up) but the wait was well worth it! Crash Of Rhinos is by far one of the most professional companies I have had the pleasure to work with . From the first phone call , they were extremely courteous and knowledgeable . They sent a proposal with every detail of what the job would entail . Nothing was left out . From the four paint colors on different areas to exactly what was to be done . One amazing point that was different from any other contractor was no down payment . Not even a percentage for paint and supplies . Pay when the job is finished. When Christian and crew arrived , they were meticulous in prep work . They sent pictures and a progress report every day . They were so polite in every conversation we had. They completely covered the pool and cool deck to prevent overspray .When they finished , everything that was moved was exactly back in it's place. Best of all , the house looks amazing !!! Excellent experience. One of the best communicators I've seen. Came and did thorough inspection and quote with timelines provided and met throughout. They were booked quite far out, but were able to move us up and get us done ahead of promised dates.

Crew was on time, hard working and thorough. Masking work was awesome. Painting job was beautiful. Everything was left in an organized manner each night. The paint work is good enough reason to use them, but if you want a company who will provide outstanding communication on your paint job, this is the company for you.

I must say in an era where pervasive mediocrity has become 'normal', I am happy to convey that my experience with Crash of Rhinos Painting, AS A WHOLE, was the polar opposite. Starting with my initial interaction with their team and ending with the finished project , I cannot stress how much I appreciate everyone's efforts exhibited by them on my painting job. I am in awe at the level of service they provided my family and me. I am saddened that I don't see more companies like theirs providing this level of service!

Starting with excellent communication at inception and ending with Coyo and his crew, there never was a hiccup. The investment of their time at the beginning explaining the process, what to expect, what I needed to complete prior was all spot on. They were even able to get me in a month early! A real bonus.

Coyo and his crew were very accommodating and I knew exactly where we stood at any given time. He answered all of my questions, and the house looks stunning! The guys even made my dogs feel good with a scratch behind the ears! All of their efforts made this painless for us, and I truly appreciate it.

I could write all day about how amazing it was to work with the staff at Crash of Rhinos, but I will try to be brief. In one word, I would describe their philosophy as EXCELLENCE. Therefore, I HIGHLY recommend them.

Communication-If you are tired of contractors not returning your calls or not showing up or not communicating adequately with you, Crash of Rhinos is your painting company. They proactively communicate with customers throughout the process and it is such a pleasure to interact with them!

Estimate-When I called to set a time to get an estimate, they sent someone out the next day. Next, I heard from the project manager, who sent me an extremely detailed estimate about the scope of work to be done, including materials and a list of items that we could choose to add to the job (eg: painting security screen doors).

Final Bid-With a few emails and a phone call, the details were ironed out and we had a final bid. Our job was on the books.
As we waited for the date of our painting, we received weekly emails that included videos that helped us understand any information we needed to know, and that they were available to answer any questions we had.

Prep for Painting-The first day of the 2 1/2 day job was mostly prep. The onsite team's lead was Jose and he took the time to walk around the house and explain what they were going to be doing that day. He took pictures for a Pre-Inspection report that documented the condition of the house before they started. These pictures were sent to us in an email. There were quite a few places where the stucco was peeling off the house or it had been retextured inadequately, so the team spent a lot of time removing loose stucco and repairing it. They did a beautiful job of prepping the house. All patios, sidewalks, the pool, and patio furniture were covered in plastic. They even moved all the patio furniture away from the house for us.

Painting-They did an excellent job painting the house, including stucco fencing in front and the outside doors. There was absolutely NO overspray on any of our property and they cleaned up the front yard every night before they left.

Touch Ups and Clean Up-On the last day, they took down all plastic coverings and went around the whole house to touch up little spots. They cleaned up EVERYTHING on the ground. I was amazed when I saw one worker going around the foundation of the house, picking up small pieces of stucco that had been scraped off. They even hosed off the driveway. When they were finished, it was as if they had never been there. I've never seen a construction crew so meticulous about checking their work and cleaning up so well.

Payment-I was able to pay my bill electronically on my computer, which was so convenient. By the way, I didn't have to pay a single penny until the entire job was completed and my husband and I had inspected everything.

Painters-Jose's crew consisted of Fernando, Jesus, and Jose Sr. They were so hard-working all day long, listening to music and bantering amongst themselves. They sounded so happy doing their work and their attention to detail was outstanding. When we stepped outside to see the progress of work, they were all kind and helpful.

I must stop raving about them now. If you need painters for the exterior of your house, look no more. Just call them!

Beyond my high expectations! Crash of Rhinos had done the original painting on the exterior of my home a few years back. When I first contracted with Rhinos I did so because they were licensed and bonded and had a 7 year warranty. Little did I know it would come in handy almost 4 years later. We had some chipping and peeling of paint. When I contacted the company they promptly sent out a painter to evaluate my concerns. The company kept in touch with me through texts giving me updates on appointment options. Christian and Joe showed up on time and quickly went to work, being mindful to cover everything with tarps. They were meticulous in their painting. They were the kindest most professional young men that took great care and pride in their work. You never think you will need to use your warranty and when you do you are hesitant- wondering if it will be honored. No worries with Crashing Rhinos- their word and warranty is their bond. It doesn't get better than this! The owner Mike sets the standard for exemplary customer service and has a wonderful team to carry out his mission.

Top experience with the company, can't say enough about them. The Sales rep came out with no pressure at all and looked at the exterior of the house to come up with a good plan. He explained everything and answered all of our questions with ease. They gave us reminders about our appointment and even called to let us know it was near. Mr. Coyo and Mr. Jesus come out to complete the job. He broke down everything to us and what was going to happen. Any questions we had, he was ready to answer them. It was such a nice experience and they came here prepared. The job only took two days and they cleaned up after themselves. Awesome job...very professional, very detailed and customer aware. They did an excellent job from the pre-inspection to execution on the detailed scope of work.

Kyle the foreman was terrific and so were his other crew members they were top notch. They listen and execute on every detail flawlessly.
I could not find one fault. Everything we discussed and highlighted on the pre-inspection and work plan was perfectly done.

I am very, very impressed with this company and I would highly recommend Crash of Rhino's and use them again.

In todays day and age, there are too many companies who don't care about their customers. They just want to earn their money and be on their way. Few companies understand the concept of being decent people who work hard and do a good job, knowing that the money will follow. This is the type of company you are getting when you hire Crash.

They are professional, prompt (when they say they are arriving at 7am, they are arriving at 7am and when they will be late, they tell you), do excellent work and are very kind people. We really appreciated the work they did.
When you hire someone to do any kind of major work on your house, you're placing a great deal of trust in them because a bad job can be financially devistating. This is why you want to hire a compnay like Crash; they are hard working and decent people who obviously take great pride in what they do.

From start to finish, initial quote visit to clean-up, wonderfully professional, friendly--just all around pleased as can be.

Speaking with Todd, Mike, and Megan as part of the pre-project phase was nothing short of friendly and inviting. One of the big things I really appreciated was the thoroughness of communication. I always knew what the next step would be, had great communication prior to and during the job.

Everybody involved in the process was positive and truly cared about me being happy with the end result, which, thanks to Zack, Juan and his crew came out fantastic. They worked efficiently and got the job done in a reasonable amount of time, especially considering the heat (it was upwards of 111 degrees).

Given the quality of the work performed, the entire process, and people involved I absolutely feel the price was fair. I wholeheartedly recommend Crash of Rhinos for any painting project. Great experience for me.

Had an amazing experience with this company. I had difficulty choosing a color, but Kim mailed me paint samples and then got me actual paint to try out so I could feel comfortable with my choice. They were great with flexible scheduling and finished in a day as promised. Chris did an amazing job painting the stucco fence in my backyard and was meticulous with his coverage of my pavers and turf, I didn't find a drop of paint where it shouldn't be. I cannot recommend this company enough. I learned of Crash of Rhinos from a woman in my Pilates class. She raved about the company and the work that they did. I made a note of the company and held onto it for over a year. When it was time to have my home painted, I called Crash of Rhinos. They came to my home within a two days of my inquiry to inspect my property and provide an estimate. They provided a very detailed proposal that was very reasonable and thorough within a day of the initial inspection. I asked to be put on a list to have my home painted sooner than the 6-8 week out date that I was given. Within a week of my acceptance of the proposal, my date was moved up to two weeks. The company remained in constant contact with me regarding the expected start date and time. When the crew arrived on the first day, they were all very professional and friendly. Every day they arrived on time and ready to get to work. The work that they all did was so good. Daily I would walk around my property and make notes for myself of different things I thought needed to be touched up that I planned bring up to the project manager before the job was finished. By the end of the job, EVERY SINGLE ITEM ON MY LIST was already done. Their attention to detail was amazing. I will always, and I mean always, use this company for any further exterior painting projects. If they worked on the interior, I would use them for that too. If you want a professional company with a professional crew, this is the company to hire.

I decided to hire Crash of Rhinos to paint the exterior of my home and am very happy that I did. They did an excellent job of communicating before, during, and after the job, asking about every detail I wanted and creating a through and reasonable quote. The price was reasonable, in the middle range of the quotes I got, but I believe the quality was top notch in comparison. I have an older home that has not been painted thoroughly in a number of years, so the team took the time needed to prep the house well and provide daily reports about what was done. I am very happy with the quality of work and the appearance of my house. I definetly recommend this company!

I got two different quotes to paint my house and Crash of Rhinos was the more affordable option. They deserve the 5-star rating as their quality and cleanliness was greater than I expected from a contractor.

Their quoting process was very helpful and they walked through each line item. It was clear and concise. The painting process was even more transparent as they provided daily photos of their work. They worked around my schedule and always asked about items in a timely manner.

They deserve their 5-star rating and I would definitely use them again.

They said that they couldn't provide me with an estimated cost for exterior paint unless I met with them at the property, even though the house has no yard fencing all the way around, easy access. They also said that the appointment to meet at the property for the estimate was 2 weeks out. Last but not least, they said that they wouldn't be able to paint my property until sometime in January 2020.

One of the other yelp painting companies that received my request not only provided an estimate the very next day by doing a drive-by, they'll have the entire paint job completed by no later than Tuesday, Nov 26, 2019 using the best quality paint that Dunn Edwards offers.

From the first interaction to the last, these guys are top notch. Before getting your quote, Zach will come to your home and do a full walk-through, take video and photos and put together a full proposal. He got me my quote within 15 minutes of first meeting and he came in and sat with me to go over it. I got 5 quotes from other painters and companies - Crash of Rhinos was not the cheapest or most expensive - right in the middle and I felt super comfortable going with them. All their guys are employees so I felt comfortable they cared about their jobs, which means they'd care about their work. There was even a small accident where my light sconce glass broke, but the guys were honest and the owners made it right, ordering a new one and someone should be coming out next week to replace it. 5 stars for honesty, integrity, price and hard work!

I've hired 5 different painters over the years here and in California, a couple were decent, two were horrible but by far the best has been Crash of Rhinos Painting.
Not only was the paint job itself superior, they pay attention to every detail both in the prep work and communicating with the customer. In the past I've had a painter scribble their estimate on the back of an envelop. But after walking the property their estimator gave me a multi page detail scope of work, which included the materials they use, exact colors for each aspect of the job and a break down of cost. Within an hour of each end of day I'd receive an email detailing what was done that day with photos and an outline of what to expect the next day.
I can't say enough about their entire staff, best experience I've ever had with a painting company.

What a great company!

CoR painted our two story 3,600 sq ft home, perimeter block walls (yard and street sides), completely refurbished the RV gate, repaired all cracks and damaged stucco, replaced the weather stripping on the garage doors, and even painted our pool fence!

They made everything incredibly easy, from the initial consultation, working with the HOA, and through job completion. The work was done on-time, on-budget and simply amazing quality! The house seriously looks better than we hoped and people were complementing us on day one!

Best of all, the crew was just awesome to work with. Can't get better than that! Highly recommended!

Wow what an amazing experiencing overall. My wife, Melissa, and I have never gone through having a house painted before as this is our first home. After seeing signs around our neighborhood for Crash of Rhinos we figured we would include them in our bidding process. And we are so glad we did.

After speaking with three painting companies we decided on CoR. The estimator was professional and super friendly, the part we really liked was that they took their time walking through each part of our estimate with us to ensure we knew what was what.

Jeff was amazing as part of this entire process. From walking us through the estimate, to checking in during the project, to the final day and making sure we were satisfied. He was there for every call, text, and email we sent his way without pause.

Kyle, who I believe was the lead of the crew on-site, was also super great. He made sure to check in with us each day, asked us to do walk arounds, and answered all of our silly questions while on site too.

The final day was a little different in that it seemed things weren't finished the day before so there was a bit more work to do so I felt the crew rushed a bit as they had another project to get to. We also had a roof tile or two crack from them having to walk on the roof. They were quick and upfront about the tiles which we greatly appreciated and ultimately we understand it happens.

I could keep going on and on about how AWESOME these people are but just take my word for it and use Crash of Rhinos for your next house painting project. The end result has been amazing and our house looks nearly brand new. I can't thank the entire team enough for dealing with my wife and I, we ask a ton of questions lol, and delivering an exceptional end result.

Everytime I work with this team I try to find a site I haven't reviewed then on yet.

If you need an outdoor painting contractor with service beyond exceptional Mike and his whole team are the people to call. They gave done work on my home, completely painted it, filled in stucco areas and replace every board in every gate we have. That's just how they do the work. They want it beyond perfect and provide all the extras you wouldn't even think of. They also have color match experts do help if you need it, no extra charge. Three or so years I saw some spots and called them because they REALLY warranty their work. They came.out, checked it out. They went and purchased the necessary paint (out of their own pocket) and fixed the small issue.
We hope to move out of AZ one day and when we have some rental.propeety I will site unseen have them.do all.the work. Snowbirds, do you want your house painted while you are out of town and know you will.come back to perfection. These are your guys. !!

The communication between the from the painters and office was excellent. The house looks fantastic and they more than cleaned up after themselves. The cost is a little higher than other companies, but well worth it. And the warranty is outstanding.

A UNIQUE Business...
Yes, UNIQUE, as in one of a kind!
This painting company is like none other that I have ever done business with. I am sure there are many other good exterior house painters out there but there are none quite like Crash of Rhinos. Once you get past their unusual name which is a story unto itself, I will begin my review.
It starts with making an appointment with the estimator. Zachary came over and spent time going through the painting process and explained what we should expect. He took lots of pictures highlighting what they will and will not be doing. He was able to give me an immediate no BS price quote with details, no smoke and mirrors. The pricing was competitive. One of the things I really liked was the fact that you make no payments for the job until it is complete and you are 100% satisfied. Every other painter wanted up to 50% down to start the job. Once we agreed on a price, I was told someone would get back to me with a start date. Long story short, communication was great. The job was scheduled.
The crew showed up when they were supposed to and completed it on time. Before they started they took pictures of everything. The crew was absolutely fantastic. Everything was properly covered, the house properly patched, primed as needed and painted with the only product they use, Dunn Edwards top of the line paint. They were able to even fix prior patchwork that they were not sure could be fixed (it was really bad). Two coats of paint were put on at 100% and not thinned to make it go further. Every day I received an email with a progress report and pictures of the work. For 5 days the crew showed up on time and got right to work. Every day before they left, the crew cleaned up. When the house was done, the crew chief and I did a detailed walk around to make sure I was 100% satisfied. Before they left they used the pictures they had previously taken to put everything back exactly where it was before they started. That was a really nice touch! And after they were gone, except for the fresh coat of paint, you never knew they were there. No mess, no garbage, no splatter, no overspray.
The next day, I received my invoice. The amount was exactly as quoted with no surprises.
This review is being written a year after the job was completed. The house still looks great. We did have some minor repair issues that had to be addressed just last week. They put us on the schedule and it was done with a smile.
Clearly, I would recommend Crash of Rhinos Painting to a friend. So far 3 of our friends have used them and all are happy and thank me for the referral.
On a side note, they only do exterior painting, and they do it like no other. You won't be sorry if they do your home.

These folks are so very easy to work with and are VERY organized. Everything is electronic regarding the contract and specs. They changed a white security door with a black mesh screen to a red door and white screen. Awesome! The actual work was performed by very nice men; very courteous and they kept you informed.

From quoting to prep work thru completion, the attention to detail was first rate.
The team of painters are professional and perform to the highest quality level.
Although they were not the lowest bid, I am glad with my choice as the total value of my investment was realized.

Crash of Rhinos is OUTSTANDING!! The entire process, from the initial estimate to the walk through and final inspection was exceptional. The attention to detail from Jose and his paint crew was fantastic. Mary's communication on scheduling, rain delays and job progress was first class. Crash of Rhinos is meticulous, neat and first rate in every regard; their service and quality of work is impressive. After the job was completed, they had another excellent member of their crew, John, come out and do ANOTHER once over on the property and not only perform a few touch-ups (on items I did not even notice) but wash all the exterior windows and reinstall the screens. I have owned five homes and had a bunch of work done by various contractors, Crash of Rhinos is at or near the top!!

We had our home painted on the outside. From the sales rep that came out to the actual painting everything was great. The sales rep really went over all of the information n explained all the steps. They even have videos u can watch. The scheduling person kept me up to date on when the techs would come out and always updated me on any changes. The painting team was also great. Our house was completed in 1 day n w hours. They cleaned up n took before photos of everything. Loved them n would defy use again

Only use this company if you want a hassle-free excellent paint job. If your looking for cheap quality where you become a micro-manager, deal with change orders and do not get what you thought you were getting go elsewhere.

Crash of Rhinos, though their name seems strange, they are amazing. Seriously! Oh yeah, you don't give them one penny until the job is complete!

Here's the Process:
1. Estimator shows up, walks the property and takes pictures. This insures everyone is on the same page about what is included in the price.

2. Quote and Slideshow Received (yup a slideshow) They gave me a price for the house and interior walls, then some itemized options, like removing wood on the gates, replacing the garage strip and exterior property walls. I like these options.

3. Job excepted! Contract arrives via Docusign (super easy) then they let you know when the project will start. Ours was 3 weeks out, no problem everyone is busy right now.

4. As you wait for your turn, you go to Dunn Edwards and pick-up FREE test paint. We tried 3 different colors. I received reminders weekly regarding picking paint colors and the schedule for the job.

5. Sign off on your paint colors and what you want to do as primary and secondary colors via email. Also, I had some last minute changes, but they were super cool about them, thanks Mary!

6. Ding-Dong they're here!
Luis was the project manager & lead painter. He's super nice and very nice to look at. So ladies....if you're bored you can always watch him paint (LOL sorry I'm trail blazing).

WAIT!!! Are they moving my furniture, taking down outside lighting, removing my outside speakers and hanging outdoor shades or just painting around them? Do not worry, they are removing it ALL and taking pictures so they know where everything went. Super hassle free.

7. 3-Days later, all done! Everything is put back where it belongs. Luis walks the property with you and his crew, then you sign-off on his phone and pay,
NOTE: They do charge more for credit cards, however this is the new norm for contractors. Final receipt emailed to me before he leaves the property.

So basically, we've been remodeling since January and literally every single contractor we've had has just not done what they were suppose to do or did bad craftsmanship. Crash of Rhino's you are the FIRST for us, so thank you and be proud of your work! It's so hard to find good workers, Luis even said he loved working for you (awww he's so sweet).

Im very confused on all the good reviews?
We chose to go with them over another company and i regret even turning away the other company.
To begin with they stuck their sign in the neighbors yard and took a picture thinking it was our yard?
Then they wanted to hook up their hoses which is not a problem but we asked them to please put our hoses back on when they were done. They didnt put our hoses back on.
We tell them not to close one of our gates because it doesnt lock properly and it needs to be closed a certain way and we will close it ourselves not to worry about it. Instead some of the guys were messing with the gate trying to close it...
THEN the neighbors recylce bin was being dug through for 20min after they finished the job which was really embarrassing. We were watching it on our cameras and couldnt believe it, it was very odd. The neighbors complained and asked us why they were doing that and why they were putting a sign in their yard taking pictures, we had no explaination.
To top it off.. we have cameras around our house that are not hard to miss and one of the workers decides to pee on the shed? Really? Come on, we have two bathrooms all you gotta do is ask. Just decent respect for a customer. My mom and I have to sit there and watch you piss on our shed on the cameras? Is that what we are almost paying $2000 for?
We had paint that was chipping on our wall but we didnt want that repainted yet and they werent there to paint the wall anyways. Well someone from their crew decided to pull it off and now it looks even worse. I mean was it really nesscary to sit their and pull giant pieces of paint off the wall when you were there to paint other things besides the wall. Whats even sad is the before picture they took, the wall paint wasnt pulled off and the after picture they took, it was pulled off. You come to do one job and you do other things? Then they couldnt even screw back in light bulbs correctly so for a couples days we couldnt figure out why our lights outside werent working anymore. I guess nobody knows the saying put things back the way you found it? Then they were using sticks from the yard that had dirt on them to stir the paint, which now is making the paint dirty. Good thing it wasnt white. I guess they dont give their teams paint stirs?
To top it off..They said they cant negociate a price because they said the job was too small to negociate. Okay, no problem but if the job is too small why are we having all these issues? For a small job there sure was a lot of issues going on.
Again, should have went with the other company that knew exactly what to do and even gave us a lower price. The other company was going to charge $1225 and even included extra work for our doors and gates. Crash of Rhinos charged us $1995 and wouldnt even include our gates or doors. Both companys came with a warranty. We wanted to go with a more well known company but lesson learned and we wont use them for the rest of our house painting needs in a few months. I highly advise you to do your research. We watched the best of the best video that Zach sent thinking we were going to get great customer service. I can say that wasnt the case at all. Although they did give us a small discount which brought it to 1800 only because we had so many issues not for the simple fact that we could find someone to do the same job cheaper.
They want to advertise in our neighbors yard for free but they cant negociate a price? Wish it could have been a better experience but it was far from even great for us. I cant recommend them, ever. I wasnt going to do a review, but then I thought if I was looking for a service id want to know what im dealing with and thats the whole point of having yelp.
Being rude and uptight to a customer because the job is too small is ridiculous. If its too small then you should have turned us away and we would have dodged a major bullet and they wouldnt have wasted their time on the small job. They were boasting how they had all these big jobs to do and they were busy but yet they still decided to take us on as a customer knowing we were a small job? Why? I dont really understand what the point of that was.
Not a sorry. Not anything.
Yelp didnt benefit me this time. Please be aware.

I had a review all typed out for this company and then realized that a post from Rebecca G. on 11/3/2017 summed up everything I was going to say! If that doesn't speak for their consistency, then I don't know what does.

The only difference in our jobs was that JJ was the leader for our job. He and his team were amazing, polite, professional, and FAST. They literally take care of EVERYTHING onsite.

Communication from our initial contact up through completion of the job was wonderful. We always knew 1. Where we were at in the process. 2. Who we could reach out to with questions. We are currently in the middle of a remodel in the interior of our home and I wish our Project Manager was even 1/4 as communicative and organized as Crash of Rhinos.

We truly could not be happier with Crash of Rhinos and our end result. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The crew provided an estimate about a year ago, through multiple delays beyond my control I had to put the project on hold. A year later I re-contacted them and they were kind enough to use my previous quote, they are extremely professional and responsive. The quality of their workmanship is hands down the best I've seen for this profession. They truly run their business like a Project orientated business, by using effective project techniques and tools they embody what an efficient organization is. Look forward to calling them out for a second phase of painting brick, the work they've done so far was trim which came out looking better then I expected. Where do I begin. They are professional and the work is A+. I only give excellent reviews to companies that deserve it and this company meets and exceeds all my expetations. It started with me not knowing what colors I wanted for my house (this company has an exterior design person that can help you), then there were lots of painting delays that occurred on my part. I was replacing my shutters but because of COVID-19 the shutters I ordered were delayed many times. A job that was suppose to start in May started in December but this company was understanding. Then finally the work they do is very detailed, they do not cut corners. They communicated with me every day and sent pictures to my email address that show probelms they found while painting. DO NOT HESTITATE ON USING THIS COMPANY THEY ARE THE BEST.

I highly recommend Crash of the Rhinos if you need to paint the exterior of your home. I was thorough and got 4 estimates and talked to 4 different companies. Crash of the Rhinos came in middle of the road, not on the high-or-low end. Mike, the owner, is very responsive and doesn't try to sell you. He provided the detail I wanted and communicated clearly. Everything was clear ahead of time and I felt fully informed, with my expectations managed. His team was excellent! Mike has had consistent team members over the years. We had the same team of professionals throughout the job and they did a stellar job. They kept the job site clean, they paid attention to detail to ensure the paint work was done well and when we had questions, they readily provided detailed information. Jose, Jesus, JJ and Fernando were amazing! They provided exemplary customer service, answered questions, were conscious of the necessity for detail in certain areas (by the wood beams, by the fire pit, and by the grill, for instance) and truly just all around amazing! These guys may cost a little more but it is worth it. They are so thorough in their evaluation, and talk you through every detail of their process. Crash of Rhinos provided excellent communication from start to finish. Mike, Kim, Mary, and the whole COR team were quick to respond to phone calls and emails and their customer service went above and beyond our expectations.

We were lucky enough to have JJ as the crew leader for our project. JJ and his team accommodated every request we had and worked so hard in the extreme heat.

Terrible communication and organization skills from this painting business.We had a bid from them, had two visits from their rep., selected colors, signed the purchase agreement, and waited six weeks to start the project.They came out to start the job two days ago, but they turned around and left. Said something about potential lead paint in existing paint (yet to be proven).I'm left scrambling to find another painter, since we are relocating in one week.Nobody ever said a thing about potential lead paint. We would have had a month test if they had told us.

These guys are excellent painters!!
We are 100% satisfied with Crash.. Daniel and Carlos did a fantastic job, and were a pleasure to have around. I am very impressed with the quality of their work, i.e., very clean, detail oriented and precise, even regarding clean paint lines over stucco, and never cutting corners on quality and keeping the workspace clean and picked up throughout the job. Our home is 2800 sf, and has a block and rail perimeter fence, and they completed the job in under four days!
I will be glad to recommend these guys to anyone looking for a quality and guaranteed exterior paint for their home.

Excellent service. Requested quotes from four painters found on Yelp, all had great reviews. All of the services came out to the residence to provide a quote. Crash of Rhinos was 8-20% cheaper than the competition. I selected Crash of Rhinos and overall they had great service. They assigned an employee to oversee my paint job, she emailed the contract, was in constant communication with me throughout the entire process. The painters showed up and were professional and did a great job. At the end, I did a final walk through with a crew leader and was not satisfied with one of the three large stucco patch jobs. I voiced my concern and the crew leader volunteered to return the next day and redo the work. The crew leader returned and fixed the patch which looked great. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for great value.

Only con I would mention is if you want to use a credit card there is a 3% convenience fee, which the owner stated is the fee they pay to the credit card company. I thought the credit card fee is part of doing business that the owner should expect to pay to obtain the new customers. Without this additional fee they would have gotten 5 stars.

My house is 40 years old, with a stucco exterior that showed significant deterioration at points in contact with the ground. I had a stucco company come and do repairs on the stucco - see the photos. I then needed to have all the stucco repainted.
I contacted a number of painting companies before settling on Crash of Rhinos (CofR) in spite of their weird name. I was greatly impressed with the professionalism of the whole process from initial contact and site visit, to the streamlined quote and agreement procedures. Everything was totally spelled out as to what would be done, and everything I thought should be done and more was part of the package.
The terrain of much of my property is sloped with landscaping and rocks making working conditions very difficult when it came to masking off areas not to receive paint. Yet the CofR did a fantastic job of navigating the terrain and applying primer to new stucco plus DryLock to areas in contact with the ground, and then at least two coats of final paint.
The CofR crew was always totally polite and professional, always letting me know what was going to happen and contacting me in advance to OK any special procedures necessitated by unique circumstances.
The bid was a little higher than others, but I felt that their reputation warranted their bid. The results were fantastic - no photos of the end result are provided because it is all looks perfect and that's all I need to say.

Contracting with Crash of Rhinos Painting was the best investment that we have made in our home. Crash of Rhinos completed exterior painting for our 1930s Spanish style stucco home. From the initial contact for estimate through the last walk through, the quality of service and skills was superb. We also elected for the paint color consultation, and this was invaluable. Everyone at Crash of Rhinos responded quickly to any questions we had. They informed us of the scheduling changes that were required because of an unusually wet spring in Phoenix and they were very accommodating to our scheduling requirements as well.

The crew, led by J.J., were very thorough and performed a lot of prep-work. The final results have revitalized this old house!

Many of our neighbors have told us that we have the most beautiful home on our block after the exterior painting.

Ended up getting the dreaded HOA letter saying that I needed to repair our house. I was expecting it because we live on a golf course and have had our fair share of golf balls hitting our house. Plus the paint was really starting to show wear so I wasn't too mad about the HOA. Ended up getting a few quotes and decided on Rhinos. I think the name drew me to them pulse all the great reviews they got.

Mike the owner came over and went over the estimate. He already did his homework and had the Sq footage printed out through websites so he pretty much knew his estimate on the way over. My house was in need of stucco repair too. He ended up quoting me a fair estimate. I ended up going through an outside stucco repair and had Mike do my paint only. He ended up working with me to meet my budget so I hired hi, on the spot.

My house is two stories so it took them nearly 4 days to complete but the work was very well done. Plus it comes with a 7 year warranty. Rhinos uses quality name brand paint and they double coat everything. The quality is very good and I went from being embarrassed on the exterior of my house to be believing that I have one of the nicest homes on the block.

I like local businesses and rhinos is based in Glendale. If you are in the need for a repaint give them a call. You won't be disappointed.

It's been 2 months since we had our house painted. As I previously reported, everything looked great except the front door which blistered. After many attempts to fix the problem, they sent over an expert to completely sand and repaint the door. It's been a little over a week and I'm delighted to say there's been no sign of the blistering reoccurring.
I appreciate the fact that these guys never gave up. A HUGE thanks to JJ and John for finding a solution.

Crash of Rhinos was professional and organized. They completed prepping and painting my house in two days which was nice. So far the paint looks great - hopefully it will also hold up well throughout the summer and when monsoons start. Overall I am very happy with it. I would recommend this company, as I do think they are a cut above most of the painters I interviewed- many of them are smaller companies and a little more 'fly by night'. I received a detailed estimate and reminders that the date to begin work was approaching. This is a family business, and the owners genuinely seem to care about what they are doing.

A few caveats. You will have to wait a long time to get your project started. I waited 3 months. This company is quite a bit more expensive than many of the other paint companies. They say this is because they do the job right. I hope that is true. There are some redundancies in their system, and some communication issues. I needed items removed from my walls and some minor stucco work done. This was discussed when the bid was completed and when a supervisor came to my home the day work started. The crew seemed to know nothing about any of that and I had to repeatedly make sure these items were being completed. I'm not sure what the purpose of the supervisor visit was except to tell me I was going to receive great customer service - I never heard from him again. So you definitely need to be at your home during painting - don't count on the details being communicated to the crew. My crew was in a hurry to leave for the July 4th holiday, and I felt a bit rushed during the walk through, hoping I hadn't missed anything that needed to be done. That being said, they were very accommodating to any last minute request for a touch up or to fix a missed item.

Crash of Rhinos and each of its members provided such a seamless and easy process, along with excellent work, that it was indeed a pleasure to work with them. I will use them again and have sung their praises to others already. Their attention to detail and communication was above and beyond anything that we expected.

They painted the outside of our house, an interior atrium and the inside of our wall around the yard. They rebuilt our gate and front fence. They constantly checked with us for anything we were concerned about. The onsite supervisor, Jeff, was more particular about details than I am and I lean toward perfectionism.

We are more than happy with their work and the results. I would recommend them highly.
Out of numerous contractors during our remodel, they were one of very few that we were very pleased with.

CoR are a stellar company who care about doing a good job. After running into many problems with a roofing company it was a breath of fresh air. The difference in the two came down to one thing... COMMUNICATION! CoR communicated every step of the way, so there were no unwanted surprises. They hire competent people and we were so grateful for Abraham and his team. You could hear the men singing and laughing as they worked which makes me feel like they are happy and working for a company that treats them well. In return they want to do a good job. We recently decided to get the exterior of our home painted. We had three painting companies come out to give us quotes. One company came out, reviewed our needs, but never sent us a quote (!), and we never heard from them again, the second company was good, but the third, Crash of Rhinos, was excellent. They clearly listened to what we wanted done, provided us with a complete packet of information, and sent us a detailed quote. They they routinely communicated with us as the start date got closer. On the start date they were there promptly in the morning, masked everything off and plastic wrapped all the backyard patio furniture for protection. The second day they started painting and worked steady until the job was done over the next few days. Then they did a final review with us. Great job and I would highly recommend them.

Crash of Rhinos provided a top quality experience from start to finish. I called to get an estimate and Mike (owner) came out to look at everything. He thoroughly explained the entire process and provided an estimate. He also explained what additional services they offered. He explained the warranty and what paint they use (Dunn-Edwards).

I took him up on the offer of the color consultation. Kim came over with hundreds of different paint colors. We played around with a few combinations until we found one I liked. She actually had paint samples in her car and put these colors on the house and garage so we could see what it looked like. This lady knows her stuff. She also took care of all the paperwork with our HOA. All we had to do was let them know when we got HOA approval.

The whole process took 2 full days plus a couple hours on the third day. Our crew leader, Carlos, was knowledgeable and friendly. We paid an additional fee to have them replace and paint the weatherstripping around the garage door. They painted everything. House, pop-outs, garage door, front door, back french doors, all of the patio and the black, iron piece on the front porch.

Our house was built in 2007 and the paint looked like crap. It started out brown and had faded to a nasty purple/baby poop color that looked awful. We plan on selling in a year or two but who wants to buy a house that looks like that???

It looks brand new now. And it has quality paint. We are 100% satisfied.

We selected Crash of Rhinos after getting three competitive quotes. The proposal they provided was complete and clearly stated expectations on both sides of the agreement. We liked that they are a family business, their pricing was competitive and with that proposal, there were no surprises. During the painting, the crew was professional, efficient, and lived up to the agreement. We appreciated that both the owner and superintendent checked up on the job in person, in additional to daily progress reports. We would highly recommend their services.

Crash of Rhinos just finished painting the outside of our house. Al I can say is - Wow! If you're looking for the absolute cheapest company to paint your house - these guys may not be that. But then again with their attention to detail - they are a great value. They don't just paint over all the (many) imperfection in your wood/stucco - etc - they painstakingly fix them all so your house is in tip top condition. You do not have to stay on them to get each thing done - as they are way ahead of you in attention to detail. Our crew, led by Chris, was very responsible and polite. They expertly worked around the weather too. 5We highly recommend them!

We always research services thoroughly. Painting the exterior of our home was no different. From the first bid meeting to the final paint day of our 8 day project, everything was beyond our expectations. We have never experienced a more professional crew and ownership. Everything was EXACTLY as promised. You may spend a lot of time researching painters but we would recommend you go no further than Crash of Rhino's Painting. They were punctual, completely informative, helpful in choosing our colors, and extremely conscientious. I am so happy with exterior painting of our home by Crash of Rhinos. They may not be the cheapest (or highest) but they are worth every penny. I am a very picky customer and honestly expect perfection. Well perfection is exactly what we received from initial estimate through completion of the job. You actually get what you pay for with this company. Chis and his crew rocked it and you could tell they really took pride and cared about the job they were doing. No mess left behind. I am a very particular person and I was more than happy with the painters and end result! JJ and his hard working men were just what we were looking for in a painting crew. Obviously very experienced and did not need to be managed, which is a big switch from some contracted crews we have experienced.
The office kept me well informed and Kim was very helpful in her ability to provide computer renderings of what our finished home would look like after choosing different colors for body, trim and accents. She also took care of all our HOA needs. This was a small extra fee, but very much needed in our case.
They sent John out after completion to clean our windows from power washing and taping off. This was included with the quoted cost and is something many would not offer, but definitely needs to be done. How expensive was all this? Five dollars more than another reputable company in our area we have used before. In my opinion, a quote from this company is a must!

Crash of Rhinos Painters

Beyond the catchy name, The Crash of Rhinos are a group of dedicated, professional painters that care about your home as if it was their own. From start to finish the professional attitude was the deciding factor for me when I chose them to paint the extrior of my house. Mike Ricker personally walked the outside of the house and explained what the company would do for me, pointed out problems in the old stucco and with the old paint. He even videotaped a narration so his crews would have fresh intel on the job and be able too complete their task. Mike then presented a folder complete with the plan as well as the company credentials.

They confirmed what I had already checked on - The Rhinos were licensed, bonded, insured, and had a valid contractor's license. The company also had a top rating with Home Advisor, a website that vettes contractors for different projects. It is always important to check with the county to ensure the company you are planning on working with has no unresolved complaints (Rhinos had no complaints whatsoever) and that the details of the job are laid out clearly and plainly as Rhinos did for us.

On the appointed day the crew showed up on time as promised, and from the moment they came to the door to the big reveal foreman and his crew worked diligently and carefully, doing a thorough job. They bagged parts not to be painted (including the neighbor's car), pulled gravel away, and made necessary and promised repairs. The foreman was impressive, talking with us and explaining each stage of the job and conducted the first walk-through of the finished job. He also ensured the work site was kept safe and clean. Mike came back and did the final walk through - no money changed hands until we were satisfied with the job Crash of Rhinos did. I can highly recommend this company if you are planning on painting your house or business.

I was completely satisfied with Crash of Rhinos! They gave us a reasonable quote and have a very detailed process to make sure that both you and they know what is expected. My crew was Don and Lupe. Don was a detailed oriented painter who knows his stuff. Lupe did most of the setup and worked his butt off as there is a lot of detail on our house. We were on a tight schedule due to a planned party and they got it done on time, even with a one and a half day delay due to rain. Don and Lupe were always polite and helpful. If I asked Don to redo a repair (I am picky) he was more than happy to do it without ever complaining. Each day there was a recap of the progress made complete with pictures. At the end, Don and I did a complete walk around. Don noticed slight things that needed touch up that I did not even see. Clean up was complete, furniture and planters were returned and only then did they ask for payment. I highly recommend Crash of Rhinos if you need a quality house painter. As I told Don, it was a pleasure working with true professionals.

Overall, very pleased with the level of service, care and competitive pricing this company offered. I originally had a client of mine use them years ago, which I was involved in the process at the time, and saw their really professional business processes. For my home, I had another vendor come to provide a quote, then had this company provide one, and for the price, this company provided much more higher level of service than the other company. They did such a fantastic job overall with everything! I am really impressed and intend to use them for future jobs for my homes, as well as future clients of mine! My team of Pablo and Pablo just finished up. They did a fantastic job !!!!
It looks so clean and fresh.
They were very professional and communicated with me several times a day about any questions they had and listened closely to any concerns I had.
At walk through I noticed several areas that needed a little touch-up.
They fixed these promptly until I was completely satisfied!
I had to have them paint an area of trim a couple of times and they did so immediately and until I was satisfied.
The office staff was very good as well and sent me reminders about my dates for painting.
Would definitely highly recommend this company!

Although I didn't end up choosing Crash of Rhinos I just wanted to review & say that I wish I had chosen them. I had just moved into my home when I received a letter from my HOA indicating I had to paint my house!! I had so many other house related expenses at the time so this was a huge blow! Crash of Rhinos estimate was not the cheapest but their customer service was by far the best & I felt they would have done the best job based on the proposal & my impression of the owner. Almost 2 years later I am starting to see a few minor issues with the paint job from the other company I picked & who knows what is waiting for me down the road. Doing it right the first time is ALWAYS less expensive in the long run! Lesson learned & will definitely be calling them in the future!

This company was fantastic from start to finish. For those of us that despise working with contractors due to not showing up on time, clean up issues, lack of communication, this company was a relief. From the quote process, to the actual job, these guys kept constant, professional communication and were very detailed throughout the process. This team did a great job on my house. Unexpected things they did: I got a daily status email with photographs, a great deal on a complete refurbishing of my side gate, and a recaulking of any cracked caulk around windows and doors. The end result makes my 14-year-old house look brand new.

Crash of Rhinos did an excellent job painting the exterior of our home. They are very responsive anytime you have a question. They are honest about their pricing, and although a little pricier than some of their competitors, it's important to compare apples to apples when getting quotes. They use the highest grade of paint, offer a lengthier warranty and go over your entire house twice when painting. Many of the small details were done by hand and not sprayer, so there was no over spray. They were quick and efficient, and they cleaned up so well it's hard to tell anything was ever done...except that our home looks so much better! I highly recommend Crash of Rhinos for painting the exterior of your home.

I got quotes from four companies for painting the exterior of my home. I knew I had a lot of wood scraping and siding repair needed and I knew I wanted to take the colors from 2 to 4. Mike was the only one who seemed excited about my color scheme. He was also confident that my siding could be repaired. The other companies were not thrilled about the four colors and not very interested in my business. Crash of Rhinos was the most expensive estimate and I chose them to do the job. My house probably hadn't been painted in 20+ years. So I wanted the best. Angel did an excellent job. Kim and Mary were awesome! And I love the finished product. Highly recommend.

I could not be happier with Crash or Rhinos painting. Yes it's an odd name but these folks are true professionals from the painters to the back office folks. To start they quoted a price during the estimate. They had all the tools with them and within 15 minutes of finishing the walk through I had a firm price. Once they were hired we did all the document signing electronically and the staff was on top of the process the entire time. They followed up with me weekly on the lead up to the job and reconfirmed the Friday before the job start.

The crew showed up on time and we did a walk through and scope verification before they started. the Lead painter JJ was awesome, he was very communicative and accommodating for everything we needed during the work. I received a daily report of the progress for the day, not that I needed it as I was there but this appears to be standard for them. That is great for rentals or folks who might be out of town.

They finished the job a day early and only after the walk through was done did I give hem a check. No 50% up front, progress payments, they just asked for payment once I was happy with the work.

This was a big job. 2400 sqft ranch withe a 4 car garage, a 400 sqft cassita, a 10X 12 shed, trim replacement, stucco repair, awnings painted. Three days and zero issues is amazing to me.

I highly recommend Crash of Rhinos Painting. Mike and his team did an A+ job throughout the entire process. I met with several different companies throughout the valley, and they were the most impressive by far... it's the little details that I noticed that demonstrated this was the right company to work with. The owner, Mike came to my house and provided a thorough inspection and even took pictures and video to make sure every detail was covered. I also did my own due diligence outside of Mike's word and the reviews everywhere (Angie's List, BBB, etc) is on point with the experience I had as well. I'm so glad I picked Mike's company, because the entire process from start to finish was phenomenal!

We became aware of Crash of Rhinos Painting through comments posted on the Nextdoor App. Many had used them and gave them 4 to 5 stars. We give them 4.5 stars. Overall we are very pleased with the company and the painting of our home. Communication with the company in planning this event was very thorough, timely, and consistent. The crew showed up on time and did a great job and on a Friday and Saturday...which we did not expect the Saturday. It was hard to see on the final walk through because it was getting to dusk on Saturday, so we asked to be able to review the work again on Monday morning and submit any concerns. We did find a couple minor things, but took care of them ourselves. Keep in mind, the workers did offer to come back on Monday to fix and needful things. Our only concerns were that the clean up could have been better and the rocks were pushed back, however, we will need to rake them again to so there are not bare ground spots here and there.
The lead painter on site was good, communicated well, was considerate of our needs and was very professional. The overall supervisor of the job checked in with us. and the workers on a daily basis.

All-in-all an excellent job...we are pleased. We would recommend this company to everyone. Very nice job...we are happy.

After getting several bids to paint my 2500 sq. ft. home I decided to go with Crash of Rhinos. Zachary, the sales guy, did a comprehensive, no-pressure explanation of their painting process and emailed the bid to me immediately. The job was completed last week and I found the crew to be very thorough. The owner, Mike, and one of the supers stopped by to check in. The crew leader did a great job keeping in touch with me about where they were in the job. No money was requested until after the job was done and I had done a walk-through. COR did a few little things that other painting companies wouldn't have done (replace garage door edging) and the paint they use (Dunn Edwards) is high quality. The 7 year warranty and family owned business made this an easy decision for me and I'm happy I chose them!

Crash of the Rhinos did a great job on my house. We had some issues with the wood on the west and south side of the house, they fixed all of those problems and it looks great. The last time we had the house painted we used an inexpensive painting crew and the cut our good paint with water which caused the paint to start peeling off early causing the wood damage. Crash of the Rhinos did not cut the paint with water as the last cheap crew did and the Rhinos crew applied two coats. Very satisfied. We decided to make a slight color change to the soffits and they are addressing our needs. Highly recommend

I'll start my review with a positive: when Crash of Rhinos royally messes up, they do at least fix their mistakes.

Unlike most of the other reviewers here, my experience with the company was pretty awful. I definitely didn't get Crash of Rhinos' A team - the paint crew that came to my house acted as if they'd never painted a home before (although the project foreman assured me this wasn't their first gig). A little background: my home is an older brick house and the crew was painting trim and my garages and exterior doors. Things that most homes have. What follows is not even ALL of the things that went wrong with the work they did:

1. Crew put paint on areas that hadn't been properly cleaned. After I notified the foreman of my concerns, they ended up pressure washing everywhere and re-painting.
2. Crew put paint on areas that hadn't dried, resulting in stains that had to be sanded out and re-painted.
3. Crew painted locked doors without ever opening them. I was home the entire duration of the project. They could have asked me to unlock the doors. After I showed the crew the 1/2 inch strip around the doors that hadn't been painted, I watched one of the crew members paint the edges of the door and then immediately close the door. This seems like something that someone with exactly zero experience painting would do.
4. Crew got overspray on the brick around my front door that was NOT to be painted. When the foreman suggested I just have them paint all of the brick around the door as a solution, I said no. He told me that I was making a mistake. The mistake that was made was the paint crew not covering the brick properly in the first place.
5. During the final walk through, I asked the crew to clean the paint off of several of my window screens. Ten minutes later? The screens had holes in them.
6. My next door neighbor's home got overspray on it. Her siding, window screen, and bikes got paint on them.

Crash of Rhinos fixed every single problem that came up and my house looks good. And they deserve props for that. But for the love of all things holy, I should not have had to advocate for things like my house being properly prepped. Or for my doors to be painted while open. I also don't feel like I ever got a We are so sorry this was your experience - which is perhaps the ultimate disappointment. Would not recommend.

We purchased our home a year ago, and it is 18 years old and looked like it had the original exterior paint job, so it was definitely in need of one. I had no idea who to hire to do the job but found Crash of Rhinos on Yelp and liked what I read. Mike came over the next day to give me a quote, and he was also very informative about all the options and the entire process. I was impressed with him and what they had to offer, so we picked them for the job.

We weren't sure what colors we wanted exactly, so we had Kim help us pick colors, and with her help and expertise, we picked an awesome combination that we love.

When it came time to start the painting, the crew was top notch. This was not a rush job by any means, and they spent a lot of time doing prep work and repairs before they even started. They really paid attention to detail and were always friendly, courteous, and professional.

Our house looks amazing! We couldn't be happier! I'm so glad I found this company. Use them! They will do a fabulous job for you.

These guys are great. I've never had to hire for a project like this before and Mike(the owner) put me at ease immediately. He came out, inspected the house, and fully explained the entire process, costs, and options. Although I purposely scheduled the job for almost eight months out, everything still ran like clockwork. There were regular updates over the months leading to the paint time and the guys showed up on time and did what Mike said they would eight months prior.

The painters on site were really good as well. They prepped the house on Day 1 and painted for two days. No detail was left out. Each day there was a walk through before they left to make sure everything was correct. Then a final walk through when they were completed. The work itself was excellent. No uneven paint. No over spray on anything. Even my gravel had no paint residue.

Then it was one final walk through. Only when they were satisfied that I was happy did they ask for payment. No payments up front, no hidden fees or increases over the eight month wait.

I would hire these guys again in an instant.

Funny name - great work.

I got three estimates to paint my house. I didn't know much about Crash of Rhinos but Mike impressed me with his comments and his suggestions. When I told him we were unsure of the colors he volunteered to have Kim come out and take some pictures and then she could digitally paint our house with a few of the finalists. We took pictures and Kim was very helpful.

The crash of rhinos (they really aren't big enough to be called rhinos) came out when they were supposed to and went to work. They covered everything that needed to be covered and moved everything that needed to be moved. My house is stucco and had a few cracks along with some nicks and dings. They fixed all of that as well as replacing a few trim boards that were damaged.

The interior of my house is about 3,000 sq. ft. It's a single story with a 3 car garage. There's a lot of exterior that needed to be painted. They got the job done in 4 1/2 days with a crew that ranged in size from 3 to 5.

Excellent job and I'm getting compliments from the neighbors.

I called Crash of Rhinos based on the Yelp reviews and everyone giving them top marks was right on. They were out within one week of me calling for an estimate and then surprisingly squeezed me into the schedule that same week! The crew was friendly, they were respectful of my property, thoroughly protecting everything not getting painted. I cannot say enough good things. I chose crash of rhinos because if there excellent reviews. I wanted the job done right the first time and that's what I got! My house was built in 2002 and probably hadn't been painted since. The paint was chipped, cracked, discolored, and dirty. The crew removed all of the old nails in the walls, fixed all the issues, and took care to not get paint anywhere it didn't belong. They were even careful to not let my cats out whenever they needed to open the door! The guys were on time, respectful, and professional and the house looks beautiful. Could not ask for more.

He was very detailed in the explanation of the process & followed up immediately via email with the pricing, insurance, contractors license etc. We worked with Kim on selecting the colors (HIGHLY recommend using this service). They worked with us through many projects that we had going on and were super flexible. They are total pros. The prep, application and cleanup was better than we could have expected. Long overdue update:
Not too long after work completed I found some areas on my home that were missed and that I didn't see on the initial final inspection. The house needed some stucco repair and paint touch up on a few areas. When I first called it felt like they were trying to brush off my concerns about the stucco and avoid a trip out. The scheduling also required about a month to have the work completed.

The workers were amazing and were a pleasure to deal with both times they were on the property. Overall, still a great company but wish the follow up could have gone a bit smoother. Only giving four stars at this point.

This is without a doubt the most professional, totally organized company I've ever had the pleasure of working with. They painted our 2,100 sq. ft home in two days and it wasn't an easy job. We have French doors and large windows that consist of small panes. There was a lot of cutting and detail work. The crew worked as a team and to a man - all were polite and careful. They spread plastic everywhere to make sure that no over spray went where it didn't belong - even over our pool. The removed articles and moved things that we didn't think about before painting and cleaned up before they left. When they made an appointment they were there when promised and continually checked with us to made sure we were happy. Their price was very fair and the job they did was outstanding! I envy those who had a good experience with this company. I did my research and got 3 separate quotes. This company's quote was the middle if the road, warrantied the work for 7 years, and had great reviews. I was more than willing to pay the price for high quality, period. Unfortunately it didn't turn out that way for me. Either (a) everyone on here has a fairly new and/or frequently painted home, (b) I got the newbies who had no clue what they were doing, (c) I have zero luck, or (d) these are all fake reviews.

One of the main reasons I went with this company was the in home color consultation mentioned on the website which is supposed to save you time and energy by having an expert help you with your color selection. Since I was changing the color scheme, this was a must for me. Instead, you have to make an appointment to go into Dunn Edwards to do a rendering (a digital visual) then let the company know what colors you want so they can order them and you go back down there to pick them up. In my case, we could not get a good picture of my house due to it facing east/west and the sun either casting a shadow or making it too bright for their program to work correctly. As a result, the colors in the rendering did not look the same once I got them home and painted them on posterboard so I had to pick more colors and again more colors. I was so drained from the process I pretty much gave up and crossed my fingers it would look okay.

Another reason I chose this company was the thorough prep work touted on their website. Preparation is key and I found that out the hard way. I admit my home was way overdue for a paint job but they knew that when they quoted me and I expected quality work. After they started painting, I noticed the paint was peeling just as it was before the prep work. I was told it was because the wood was damaged from not being properly painted the last time and having been exposed to the elements. The initial solution I was given was to ADD CAULK TO THE PAINT to help it stick. This didn't sound right to me so I made a call. Turns out you are not supposed to powerwash wood! Doing so causes the wood to swell then shrink once dry. This may have been okay had they not painted it while wet but they did which caused the paint to peel. They redid all of the trim and eaves to try to make it right but it continued to peel.

After much time (2 weeks instead of the 2 day turn around initially given) and anguish, the owner decided there was nothing else they could do, cut the price in half, and promised to personally come back in 90 days to follow up and fix any remaining issues. The follow up was prompted by the fact that the paint job will not hold up for 1 year, let alone the 7 year warranty period, and I had no intentions of ever needing to use the warranty. The job was completed mid June and I have not heard a peep.

I could say so much more about the issues I had but I wanted to mention my main concerns.

Crash of Rhinos, despite its crazy name, is a spectacular company. I collected 3 quotes in June for painting the exterior of my 1 story house. Crash was very competitive as well as giving me two coats of paint vs the competitor's one coat. Their communications were very good, and their service excellent. Once my house was complete in early July, I received a thank you card from the owners and offering to fix anything that would prevent me from being 100% satisfied. I wasn't going to say anthing, but one of my garage light scounces had collected some air bubbles which took away from the otherwise perfect paint job. They scheduled a re-do, and I am totally 100% satisfied. The paint job and redo of my light scounce have held up very well throughout the Monsoon season. You owe it to yourself to at least request a quote.

I cannot appropriately express the positive experience we have had with Crash of Rhinos. Like many, we got the letter from our HOA that started our search for a house painter. We set out to get 3 quotes and Crash of Rhinos was hands down the most professional from get go. They were timely in their responses and always arrived when they said they would for all appointments (quotes, color consult and actual painting). Their quoting system was comprehensive and educational. I had no idea what was involved with house painting and their breakdown of what would happen, complete with videos, not only gave us insight as to what should happen to insure a quality job was done, but it allowed us to see what was missing from other quotes. Todd, the gentlemen who came to give the quote was super friendly and made sure he spoke to both me and my husband to include all the details of what would happen with our home. I especially appreciated this because I've had other contractors speak over me or directly to my husband which makes me feel like my opinion wasn't important to them. I sincerely appreciated the respect shown to us by Todd. We opted to do the color consultation add on with Kim. This allowed us to get her expert opinion on colors and an education on color fading, which again, I hadn't considered and knew nothing about. Her expertise ended up guiding me to colors that I love even more on our house! The fact she also dealt with our disorganized HOA was worth the price of this feature alone. In addition to being a color guru, she's patient, organized and ON TOP of her submissions. Highly recommend her services! As for the painting - WOW! The crew who came to our house consisted of Jose, Jesus, and Fernando. These gentlemen were so nice and the work is OUTSTANDING. They took such pride in painting our house and I absolutely loved listening to them sing and laugh as they worked. They injected our house with a lot of happiness and I appreciated their positive energy. They really seem to enjoy what they do and it shows in the quality of their work. I sincerely felt they were excited to show us our finished home, but not until they meticulously went around doing touch ups. I was so impressed with the way they inspected every inch of the house and went in for the most minor of details. When they were done, they had the biggest smiles on their faces, and it was again just a joy to see. Our neighbors even came out to see the finished house and exclaimed Now you have the best house on the block! I wholeheartedly agree. AND, they finished early! We were on the schedule for 3 days, but this awesome crew knocked it out in only 2. I can't recommend this company strongly enough. I have been trying to think of any other company, in any industry, that I've had such a positive experience with and I simply cannot. Their communication and customer service is exemplary. I was very impressed by their professionalism and dedication to customer service and customer satisfaction. They came to the house to give us the estimate and then came back to take pictures of the job they needed to complete. They sent weekly emails as reminders of the date they would start the project. It's been a couple of months since the exterior of our house was painted, and we are still thrilled. The paint seems to be high quality and we haven't noticed any issues. Multiple neighbors have commented on how good it looks.

When I first started looking for a painting company, I interviewed a few. Crash of Rhinos was by far the most knowledgeable, and I felt the most comfortable with them. They were also very competitive on price, so it was a very easy decision to choose them.

While the work was being done, the crew was respectful, friendly, and FAST. At the final walk through we walked around the whole house and they even pointed out a lighting fixture that had been broken. They offered to replace it, even though it was old and brittle. A light breeze would have broken that fixture, but they cared more about customer service than they did about penny pinching. That is a big deal and not seen very often.

This was a great experience and I would recommend them to anyone.

Our house was badly in need of new exterior paint. I contacted several local painting companies for estimates. Some never bothered to get back to me, or did so after several days. Pretty much what I've come to expect for most service providers these days.

Mike from Crash of Rhinos called me within hours of when I sent my email inquiry. He was professional, informative and courteous. He was able to come to my house soon after we spoke and explained the service they provide. He gave me a full written estimate along with a good description of the different types of paint available. There were also options as to whether I wanted them to paint things such as our view fence.

All that was great and I was very impressed, however the best part was yet to come... After looking at the paint sample booklets and choosing 2 or 3 schemes I liked, Kim brought samples over and put a little on the house so I could see how they really looked. She also took a photo and had the paint store make some mock-ups of the house with different color schemes. Kim also contacted our HOA and submitted our proposal to paint. It was so nice not to have to hassle with figuring out which forms to use, where to send it, etc.

The workers were delayed in starting by a rare several days of rain. They ended up doing the entire house over the course of a couple of days. The workers were quiet and courteous. The paint looks great. They cleaned up after themselves and didn't wreck any of my plants. I couldn't be happier! And the price paid was within dollars of the estimate I got from another company.

We have a two story, 2000sq home, that was in bad need of some TLC. Crash of rhinos was just what the HOA ordered lol. Our stucco was peeling, the paint was faded and lackluster, the fascias were multicolored, and the pop outs where the same drag color. We got several quotes, and though Mikes was not the lowest, it was very close. Mike stood out however for his professionalism and friendly demeanor, as well as his knowledge about what was going on with the house. He was also the only one who was honest to us in regards to the particle board that make up the underside of the patio.
The 7 year warranty was also a great selling point, as was the paint concierge service mikes wife Kim offers. Not having to submit every paint scheme to the HOA and not having to research the dozens of different colors was well worth the extra $125! They were the only ones who offered this fabulously little extra perk and I couldn't recommend the concierge more.

The wait time until they had a open slot was longer than we hoped for, but that's just because they do the job right. They power washed the house twice, and repaired the peeling stucco first. After allowing it to cure they finally painted our house, the exterior fence and fascias. The job was done well and in a timely manner by guys who were friendly and professional. They missed one small spot, but upon mentioning it to the painter guys they immediately corrected it with no fuss. Everything else was do e to expectations and came out looking great. So much so that our neighbors hired them as well.

The team at Crash of Rhinos is courteous, professional, and above all else, responsive. We asked for a quote and within a week, our house was painted. The gentlemen who painted the house obviously took pride in their work- they came back on an extra day just to touch up our front door. They used quality materials and did a quality job.

We got three estimates to have the exterior of our house painted. We chose Crash of Rhinos. They were not the most expensive or the least expensive. They were very reasonably priced and although each person gave us similar information, we really liked what Mike said and promised during our meeting with him.

One of the things we liked was their policy of not paying until the job is complete and Mike has done a walk around the property with the homeowner to make sure everything has been done right and to everyone's satisfaction.

We had to schedule about 8 weeks out but the crew showed up promptly on Day 1.
They were all awesome and conscientious hard workers.
Meticulous prep and cleanup too!

Communication was perfect.
We were kept in the loop via email and phone every step of the way and Kim came out to make sure the paint colors we chose were truly to our liking.

Everything went according to plan, although the weather threw us a few rainy days. Crash of Rhinos did an absolutely fantastic job on everything, the house, the gates the doors, the block walls, every single thing was done beautifully.

They even understood we have three large dogs who had to have access to the backyard several times each day. No problems. No concerns. We couldn't be happier with the results and have already recommended them to two neighbors who complimented us on how nice everything looks.

Our house is sixteen years old and looks brand new!!!

5 Stars, Fantastic !! Mike the owner & to all the hard working guys are very professional up front and no gimmicks. The estimate phase, the contract phase were identical with no hidden items during the job. They Presented their Insurance paperwork, along with workman's comp was given to me at meeting and within the quote. The weekly communication leading up to job date was perfect for me. The exterior job was done in 4 days!! The work is flawless, very professional & courteous people. When they left it was like they were never here. We've been wanting to paint our house for a while now. We knew it would be a big job since the previous owner put a textured stucco on the outside of the house and the front sun room. The previous owner also never painted the stucco so there was several spots that needed to be repaired first. So it was a big job to say the least. They were very quick to respond and set a time to look so we could get a quote. I will say that they are not cheap. But included in the price they were going to do repairs on the stucco, they were going to paint the front room, and also paint the large shed in our backyard. We had to wait a few months before they had an appointment available, but it was worth the wait. JJ and his crew were amazing. They were fast. They had the house almost completely done on the first day and second day they were only here for a few hours to finish up some smaller stuff. When I did the final walk through I was in complete shock, my house looks amazing. I seriously can't get over how good it looks. Crash of Rhinos might be a little more expensive than other companies but they give you your money's worth. Just a little FYI, if you want to go to Dunn-Edwards to do the photo rendering to see what the colors look like on your house make sure you call and make an appointment first. We didn't know that. Thankfully the colors we picked came out looking amazing.

JJ was also our crew leader, and the care and attention they paid to everything - the painting, protecting the windows and doors and pool from getting oversprayed, the promptness and timeliness, the clean up, the preparation before starting which was needed badly in our case and, of course, the excellent paint job. Couldn't ask for anything more. House looks great and I would definitely give an A++ rating to this whole group.

Wow! This is the third time we have had a house exterior painted and the fifth time using a professional painting company. Crash of Rhinos is by far the most professional and thorough company we have used. Their attention to detail from the time they get your job request until the moment the job is complete is amazing. The documentation process before the bid the attention to detail on the bid, the detailed protection of our belongings, and the actual paint work all exceeded our expectations. We had cheaper choices (only by a few hundred dollars) and I'm glad we paid a bit more for Crash. Their guarantee and attention to detail more than made up for a few extra dollars!

I recently (Dec 2014) used Crash of Rhinos to paint the exterior of my 2500 sf Central Phoenix home. The total cost was $3100.

Rhinos was slightly more expensive than the other bid that I received but I am delighted that with the job that they did. While other painters would just show up and paint, Rhinos spent a solid two days to prep/protect the house rather than just slap paint on. The job was done amazingly well and the crew was top notch. They took unbelievable care of my house to make sure that the painting was done right.

As a sign of their confidence in themselves, they take no money up front and you simply pay at the end when you are satisfied. I now see why they do this: we were delighted with the job that they did and would use them again in a flash.

We also used Kim to provide a paint consult and that was well worth the money as well. Her input was well worth the $125.

This is one of those rare places where their five star rating is well deserved. I would not hesitate to use them again.

After getting multiple quotes we felt confident that they would do a thorough job. The process alone was explained to take 3 days. They took care of everything, moved furniture, removed fixtures, power washed the entire exterior, they even covered the pool when they painted. The team was courteous, letting me give the dogs potty breaks whenever I asked. The ONLY reason, this is a 4 start review and not 5, is they didn't cover the pool while power washing the house, we had a good amount of paint chips in the pool. That, and when scheduling asked if the could start early (Friday) instead on the following Wednesday, they didn't mention that they don't work on weekends, our back patio was a cluster of patio furniture/smoker/grill... Being a bit OCD I would have opted they start Wednesday and finish in 3 days vs. start on a Friday, take a 2 day break, then finish. The work turned out absolutely perfect once complete.

Crash of Rhinos just finished painting our home and we are so pleased with the results. The price they quoted us was fair, not the cheapest, but fair. We liked Mike and felt comfortable with him immediately. It's a pretty big investment to paint your home, so we wanted someone we felt like we could trust. Kim was a big help with selecting colors and kudos to her for being patient while we tried different combinations and different shades. Even though we had a 'vision', it took awhile to find just the right colors to pull it off.

We opted for a number of extras, including redoing our gates, replacing some trim work and re-patching some stucco that the previous owner had done. The guys who did the work on those items did a great job. As for the actual painting work, we were impressed that they seemed to take their time and tend to all the details. They took great care to not damage any of our brand new landscaping and were friendly whenever we asked a question. By the time they left, our 10 year-old house looked like a million bucks.

Overall, our experience with these guys was top-notch. They were great at communicating with us about scheduling and the progress of the work, and quickly responded whenever we had a question. We've already recommended them to our neighbors who have commented on how great our house looks. A great company to work with and we'll absolutely use them again when the need arises!

I called and requested someone to come out for a quote for exterior painting. Shortly after, I met with the owner, Mike. We was friendly, knowledgeable, and provided great information about the process. I received the quote. during the visit. I'd met with other companies previously, Rhinos wasn't the most expensive, and they weren't the cheapest either. After thinking it over, and negotiating a little on the price, we were able to come to an agreement. We ended up scheduling a date, a month later. That was later then we wanted, but we weren't in a huge hurry, either. I called back and asked if we could get the work done sooner, to get away from the fall holidays. They placed us on a move up list. A few days later we were scheduled for the following week. The team arrived early Monday morning. I met with the job foreman prior to starting. They clean, prepped, and painted all in three days. They did a great job, I don't have any issues. The company provides a great warranty for their work. We're really glad we used Crash of Rhinos Painting.

From the first contact with Mike to the last day of the job, Crash of Rhinos stood heads and shoulders above every other firm we got a quote from. They weren't the least expensive bid we got, but when it comes to maintaining your biggest asset why settle for inexpensive-go for quality! The owners are incredibly personable, the crew was outstanding, the warrantee gave me confidence backed by the number of years they've been in business, and the finished product was everything I could have asked.

Our 4400 sqft. home hadn't been painted since we bought it 14 years ago and it really needed it. I knew the previous owners had used Dunn-Edwards paint and that's all CofR uses. While they weren't the lowest bid, they were the most comprehensive in their scope of work. The fact they didn't ask for a penny until the job was completed to our satisfaction made the decision to use them a no brainer.The foreman double checked each area with us before starting to paint. There were some places, like behind a line of oleanders, we didn't want to include. Each special zone was just right. When I pointed out an already painted stucco wall that was to have been re-floated and evened out, the supervisor said that if I had made the deal with the owner that's what they would do. It was redone that day and perfectly!

Everything outside was safely moved out of the way, the landscaping plants were treated with kid gloves, and all was put back in place on completion. They were even aware of the harmful effects of direct sunlight on our gardenia plants and moved them back in as soon as the area was painted! I can't recommend this firm highly enough.

I realize a 2 star (I'd give them 2.5 if allowed) rating is not a terrific rating and is low compared to Crash of Rhino's previous reviews here on Yelp so I will explain. First, Crash's owners, manager, and crew were all extremely nice, responsive, and easy to work with during the job. Mike, Kim, and their project manager are super fast to respond to emails or phone calls. Mike got an estimate within a couple days of contacting him by phone. I didn't get other estimates but their price seemed very reasonable. So why the low rating? My house is a typical valley home built in the 50's or 60's. The primary reason I hired professional painters was the amount of professional prep work needed on a vintage home that had been painted many times over the past 50+ years. Unfortunately this is where Crash fell short. The prep work was minimal and not thorough enough for this type of older home. Basically prep work was a thorough pressure wash and and some caulking (and of course lots of taping). There was minimal (if any) hand scrapping or noticeable priming of raw wood or exposed masonry/concrete. The spray work on doors and the house was complete and very clean. Unfortunately the lack of prep showed quickly with areas showing signs of lose paint and even some obvious painting over loose dirt and debris on the stem wall and window frames. As well as spray painting over loose paint on the wood structure that should have been hand scraped after the pressure wash.

Overall: if you have a newer construction stucco home say 1980-2000's that requires minimal prep so that a pressure wash and paint spray will do the job then definitely consider Crash of Rhinos for your house. Mike and Kim and crew are very friendly and easy to work with and quick to set up and complete the job. But if you have an older home from the late 1950-1960's requiring more intensive professional prep then I would hesitate to recommend Crash based on my experience.

Our house really needed to get a good painting. It is a smaller home and we live in Chandler. I wrote to 3 of the Top Yelp reviews. Another responded and after 1st contact did not respond. 1 never responded and Crash of Rhinos responded immediately. From the get go they were sooooo professional, and on top of it. Their communication is TOP DRAWER! Mike and his wife Kim really know how to run a business.

They painted the exterior of our home and it looks AMAZING! When Mike came the 1st time to give the estimate he printed it out immediately right from his truck.

We had to wait to get our home painted as we picked just before the heat of summer. The painters were very respectful and cleaned up after themselves.

My husband and I were blown away when we received in the mail this week a handwritten thank you note for choosing Crash of Rhinos Painting. I mean come on! That is something I have not seen in customer service for years!!!

Crash of Rhinos painted our home the week of May 23, 2016. Our experience with this company was phenomenal! The customer service was second to none! We received weekly updates prior to commencement of work and daily updates during the work period. Kim and the office staff were outstanding, answering my questions regarding paint colors and giving opinions when asked. The actual team represented themselves professionally during the three days they were here. They prepped the house by power washing all surfaces and protected and masked the surfaces well. I have a 2240 square foot two story house. I called Mike to come out for a quote and as soon as I spoke to him I knew that this was the company I wanted to go through. They came up with a very fair price and we came to an agreement on the date and paint colors.

The paint job was really really good, the lines on the popouts were amazing, and the customer service was even better. They even came back out to paint behind a shed I had to move. I never write reviews, but I felt that I absolutely had to in this case. As many other reviewers have written, customer service and workmanship was excellent. Email communication both before and during the entire process was excellent. Very detailed estimate process. The icing on the cake for us was that shortly after having our house painted a few roof tiles blew off in a storm. We had a local roofing company out to repair, and in the process were informed that many of the edge tiles were installed incorrectly by a previous contractor. After having them re-installed correctly, there was now fascia showing through with the old color due to the incorrectly installed tiles previously being angled downward. We don't have a ladder tall enough to reach the areas and with two small children, I have no idea how long it would have been until we got around to it. I emailed Crash of Rhinos on a Sunday night, they were able to come out on Monday, touched up all the areas on both the front and back of our house. I fully expected to pay for the additional service given that it wasn't their mistake, but they did the extra work for free and insisted we didn't owe anything! That is what I call good service and standing by their product. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again if needed.

I obtained estimates from two companies and researched many others before choosing Crash of Rhinos to paint the exterior of my house. Mike came out to my house and gave an honest, excellent estimate. There was no pushiness or pressure. Once I chose Crash of Rhinos, Kim was in constant communication and even painted a small sample on the side of the house in order to see exactly what the colors would look like after they dried. The painters were also in constant communication with my wife and I, and the quality of everything was excellent.

Overall, excellent service, price, communication, and quality. There's really no reason to go with anyone else, they are the best!

I cannot say enough about how impressed I am with Crash of Rhinos! Because I have so many comments, I will break them down.

We were told by our HOA to paint the exterior of our 1900 square foot bungalow and immediately started the search for a quality, reliable company that was also reasonably priced. We decided to get 4 quotes and Crash of Rhinos was far and away our#1 choice because of the following.

Price: they are VERY competitive in pricing. They are not the cheapest ( do you REALLY want the absolute cheapest??) but they were no where near the highest. Mike arrived at our house, ON TIME, with 3 separate quotes already prepared that broke down the job by grade of paint options. This was very helpful and showed a lot of professionalism and preparation.

Quote: When Mike showed up ON TIME, with a prepared package for us, he had a diagram of the house footprint, and had already scoped out areas to discuss with us, such as view fence, pop outs, and wood door frames that should be repaired. This was all itemized separately so we could see what we were paying for, with no tricks. Then, once we decided to use Crash, Mike used his IPad to do a walk around the house and narrate the specifics of the job for the crew that would be doing the work. Very professional and a good guarantee that the job would be done properly.

Communication: Kim, Mike's wife, runs the office and is second to none. She is meticulous with records, billing, details, and is an excellent manager of files. We signed on with Crash in the summer for fall painting. Every 10 days Kim emailed us to confirm the dates and times as the job got closer, and gave specific detail about which tasks would be done on each of the 4 days of the job.

Workmanship and quality : 5 stars. The paint job is perfect and the crew was exceptional. They arrived on time every day, and had a schedule of tasks to complete. The site protection was EXCELLENT. Not a drop of paint anywhere. They even tarped our driveway and yard where they rested their supplies, and covered our pool. This excellent attention to detail and care impressive and rare.

Professionalism and customer service: 5 stars again. We were not sure about the property line for the fence. Kim offered to contact the HOA to confirm, although this is our responsibility. Still, Kim is very detail oriented, and a careful and conscientious business woman, and she knows the importance of making sure everything is understood before a job is started. Again, we were happy with her extra efforts and felt very confident that everything would be perfect.

Also, we were out of town for the first day of prep, and noticed the garage door had been painted the house color, instead of the accent color. Our records were correct, and Kim's records were too, but somehow the crew made this small mistake. When I mentioned it to the foreman, he IMMEDIATELY said no problem, we will paint that again right now. There was no discussion, no disagreement, no I don't think so, let me check my work order. All he said was no problem, we will fix that. This is rare to deal with in any business and you can tell that Crash is a professional business from A-Z, from office to the field crew.

Miscellaneous: I will call this the Slick factor for stuff that is just a nice touch.
1. Mike shows up at the quote with the house sketched and a series of options. This saves customer time and lets you know your options right up front.
2. They don't take a deposit, or any payment until the job is done, and the customer signs off. This is not an operation that needs your money in order to pay for other jobs, or buy the paint. They don't want any money not only until they are done, but will only take payment when you are SATISFIED. They are really serious about service and customer satisfaction.
3. Prompt communication. I would always get a reply from Kim by Email or phone the SAME DAY. Even on a weekend. This lady works hard and is really on top of things for the customer.
4. Working with the customer. Having a crew at your house, covering all your windows and doors with paper for 4 days is inconvenient. Kim worked with our schedule, and AROUND our schedule, to really minimize the hassle of having a crew at the house.
5. The crew was excellent. They were friendly, professional, careful, and GOOD. Our research of the company showed that they have been in business many years, and have kept the same employees for many years. To me, this shows they run a good business and treat their staff well, as they do their customers, and they have good quality staff as a result. These folks know how to run a business.

I can't recommend Crash of Rhinos highly enough. If you are considering painting your house you can't lose by having them out for a quote. You will be impressed from the moment you first call them. We sure were and we're glad we used them!!

As has already been mentioned numerous times in previous reviews, our experience using Crash of Rhinos Painting was exemplary. From the first phone call, to Mike's quote, Kim and the office staff keeping us informed of when the job would commence, being willing to change that date due to construction concerns, helping us obtain paint samples...everything that transpired while working with COR was perfect. The painting crew (Carlos, Juan and another gentleman) were very good at what they do and brought up concerns (again, due to construction) that needed to be addressed and dealt with. They did their utmost to ensure that our paint job was completed to our satisfaction and when they left on the last day, Carlos reiterated that if we had any concerns or needed anything else done, to give them a call. They cleaned up after themselves and left the site spotless. Mike (the owner) runs his business and treats his customers the way I'm sure he would like to be treated himself. My only concern is I'm afraid Mike will retire before I need COR to do our next paint job in 15 years! Hopefully, the company he and his team have built will carry on beyond his retirement. Thank you Crash of Rhinos for giving our home a much needed facelift!

Crash of Rhinos recently painted the exterior of our home, and we could not have been more pleased. From the estimate through completion of the job, they were on top of every detail. Kim and Mary in the office were fantastic to work with! After we had signed our contract, Mary sent us a weekly email update letting us know that scheduling was on track. Once the job began, we received a daily email update showing which areas of the job had been completed and what remained to be done. Kim was so helpful with color recommendations and general follow-through. Crew leader JJ was terrific! The crew (same crew each day -- and these painters have been with them for years) arrived on schedule, did conscientious work, and were careful to clean up at the end of each day during painting and at the conclusion of the job. Crash of Rhinos price quote was not the lowest nor the highest that we found; we felt the price was very fair for the quality of work that was done. We would gladly recommend Crash of Rhinos to others.

I initally chose COR based on the numerous positive comments on Yelp. There are several other 5-star painting contractors, and I got cheaper quotes from both. However, neither of these offered a guarantee beyond the required 2 years- and neither gave me a detailed estimate. In fact of the two contractors I didn't hire, one of them didn't even knock on the door- I think his estimate was a drive-by. The other one spent 10 minutes. Contrast that with COR's OWNER coming to the house, videotaping his walk-around and then explaining in minute detail how they would accomplish the job. Once we decided to go with COR, the communication with the office was excellent. They let us know what to expect, and when it was going to happen. The crew showed up when they said they would, and did a phenomenal prep job- including applying Dry Lock to the stem wall- something the other contractors didn't mention at all! They replaced the side door casing- $50 extra- which is something I could have done...if I had the time, which I don't! COR used premium Dunn-Edwards paints- the other guys didn't mention what they were using. At the completion of the job, almost everything was put back- I had to rehang the windchimes on the patio- but overall, a very professional job. The house looks great!

Crash of Rhinos finished painting our house yesterday. I can't say enough good things about them. From start to finish they exceeded expectations and over delivered. Zac explained the process to us and what to expect every step of the way so thoroughly that we signed up before he left our neighborhood. Kim and Mary took care of us start to finish, sending documents in a timely manner and providing end of day status reports. Jeff, the foreman made sure the schedule was convenient, and our crew was amazing; meticulous and extremely neat. They were the only company we spoke with that brought a test gallon of each color prior to starting the project to insure a color match. Those seemingly little details add up and separate them from the rest of the companies we spoke with. Our final walk through was with Jose and his team who made sure we were satisfied with the project. Perhaps the best indicator of the quality of their work is that while our house was being painted, 3 neighbors signed up with them and started work. Two others came by to get quotes and are signing up. You won't go wrong hiring Crash of Rhinos.

I brought in 6 highly rated painting companies in November 2016 to provide a bid to paint my 3,529 sqft 2 story home in Goodyear, Az. In the end, Crash of Rhinos had the best price, OUTSTANDING customer service, their crews showed up EXACTLY on time, usually within 1-2 minutes of their scheduled arrival/start time, and they ONLY used Dunne Edwards top shelf paint, probably the best paint for the hard conditions of the Southwest. The crews were hard working, knowledgeable and experienced. I am a hard person to impress, and throughout the entire process, the Admin. staff with their daily progress emails and the painting crews at Crash of Rhinos impressed me. I've already had neighbors asking me who painted our home and I happily refer them to Crash of Rhinos. I HIGHLY recommend this company for your home painting needs. Like all the other reviews stated.....THESE GUYS ARE THE BEST. I wanted a painting service that I didn't have to babysit........and I found them! From start to finish, they are professional, prompt, communicative, and they do stellar work. Their prices are reasonable, and the customer service and follow up is top notch. Honestly, you would be doing yourself a disservice not to call them for an estimate. DONT HESITATE TO CALL THEM FOR YOUR EXTERIOR PAINTING JOB!!

Crash of Rhinos Painting is an outstanding company. Mike Rickert is honest, friendly and professional. Kim Rickert was very helpful in assisting us to choose the right color for the exterior of our home. She came out with several paint samples and was so patient while we mulled over the choices, eventually coming up with the right one. The crew- Lalo, J.J., Juan and Fernando- did an excellent job and completed the project in a timely manner. They were consistently courteous, skillful and friendly. Let me begin this review by saying how impressed I am with this company. We live in the east coast and our house in Arizona was in need of exterior painting as requested by our HOA in Arizona. The distance made it difficult for us to choose colors and ensure compliance with HOA requirements. We had received proposals from other painting companies in the area but upon questioning the quality of paint to be used for the job we received no answers. We chose Crash of Rhinos because it was the only company using the best quality paint in the market for the job, they use Ultra-Premium exterior paint( Dunn-Edwards Evershield). Yes it cost a little more but at the end of the day you want paint that is going to last and hold to the weather in AZ. Upon sending the colors we had selected to Crash of Rhinos, I was quickly contacted by (Kim) from the company alerting us that the colors didn't match the house. Kim went out of her way to go to the property to match the existing colors and called us to review the findings with us. (this saved us a consulting fee of $100+ from an expert paint consultant) In addition, they are so well organized they will update you with the status of the jobs from the minute you sign the contract to the end. The crew on-site were very professional, timely and respectful. Overall we are extremely satisfied and the house looks amazing with the new paint while meeting HOA color requirements! I honestly NEVER had a contractor company so organized and into all the details. That really speaks volumes and I am happy for the first time to write a 5 star review. I highly recommend them!

These guys are amazing. First Mike came out and looked at all our concerns. His recommendations saved us well over $1000. Then he bid the jobs we really needed at an incredible price. Finally he sent out a crew (props to Lado) who were truly professional and considerate. They also did a great job. Later Mike checked out the work and Lado came back to answer some questions we had. All in all, an amazing company. If you need painting done, these are your guys. Great price, great service, great vibe.

Crash of Rhinos did a fabulous job painting the exterior of my house. As a first time homeowner, this was my first time through the process, and Mike came to my house on the initial visit with a whole packet of information that explained every detail of the process, the type of paint used, how it would be applied, what was included in their service and was very open to any and all questions I had. His wife Kim was wonderful in helping me to select the paint colors. I had initially selected a few colors to choose from, and in taking a look at the palette I liked, she recommended a few others. I ended up going with one of her recommendations and I couldn't be happier.

The crew was very professional, and careful to ensure they were not in my way. They were very good at confirming different small pieces/areas and the color I would like those to be painted. I never felt out of the loop, and the job was completed in less than 2 and a half days for a 1600 square foot house.

I would HIGHLY recommend Crash of Rhinos for their professionalism and quality of service to anyone I know.

I'm starting my review as we have chosen to go with Crash of Rhinos to paint the exterior of our home and want to write the 1st part of my review while it is still fresh in my mind.

We had 2 companies come out prior to Crash of Rhinos coming out. I wasn't there for the 1st guy and my wife said he was there for 5 minutes and said it would cost 1600 to paint our 1 story 1780 sq ft home plus our backyard fence.

The 2nd company that came out was much more thorough, they went over every single crack of stucco, every imperfection and said how they would treat it, I thought this was nice but wondering if he's going to jack the price up. He did, first he said 3200 and we said that's way too high then he brought it down to 2800 which I though was doable and I didn't doubt that he would have done a great job. What I didn't like about this guy was the price and that it was all or nothing for example our back security gate he said he would sand and paint etc. and I asked what if I don't want that and how much is that adding into the total cost and I finally got that it cost about $70 but it wasn't an option you either take whole package or nothing and he kept saying how he would pressure wash my patio and drive way and I'm thinking this is going to look great but how much are these extras adding into the total cost. I think this guys problem was that he was doing everything himself so maybe he was charging $50 an hour (I don't know) to pressure wash the drive way when he should be paying someone $10 an hour to do it and pass that savings on through a lower estimate. He was very thorough though and that let gave me more insight to ask more informed questions to other companies that came to give estimates.

Crash of Rhinos came out a few days later and they started to talk in detail just like the 2nd company did and I was like oh great this is going to be another 3k paint job.

The 1st thing I like about Crash of Rhino is that they are very transparent and they are going to be fair, he said yeah 1600 seems pretty low even for a spray and then you will get guys trying to charge 3k on the high end. That gave me hope that this would be a reasonable offer.

Note: I put prices because I think homeowners are looking for a good estimated on prices but each house difference according to the shape they are in and square footage. We have single story home that is 1780 sq feet that is in good shape, some stucco cracks but relatively in good shape, we just don't like the color and our back fence is stucco so we are getting that painted also and that takes a considerable amount of paint .

We started to go over details and I said how much would just the security door be and right away he said $65 but we offer that as an option because some homeowners want the security gate done and some don't.

I asked about pressure washing that the 2nd company was talking up and he said well yeah of course we are going to pressure wash up after we paint and clean everything that's just part of it.

He then went on to say customer service is very important to us, we try to think like the home owner. Customer service and doing a little extra is worth is to us so if someone says can you pressure washer this and it's not in the proposal we are going to do it, if you come and say hey can you paint my whole back fence for free and it's not in the proposal then we won't but if it is a reasonable request then we will accommodate.

So time for the proposal, everything was printed up and printed out.

Instead of giving us an all or nothing he had it broken down into 3 categories of paint quality. The lowest paint quality that he expected to last 8 years, the next to last 10 years and the best to last 12 years. So within it we received a quote of @2100, 2300 and 2400 (I think). Plus an itemized option. $99 if you wanted to go with someone to help pick out colors, they will come take a pic of your house and do a computerized image so you can see how different colors will look and they will bring out samples of paint to put on your house to see how it looks. $65 for the security door, $85 for new seals on the double car garage door and $175 to rebuild a side gate.

He offered a deal that if we chose the higher end paint at 2400 then he would make us a good deal on the options that we wanted. We chose all the options except the rebuilding of the side gate. So we worked out a deal we agreed on for the 3 options plus the higher end paint.

Looking forward to getting our home painted and thanks for Crash of Rhinos for the excellent customer service thus far.

Crash of Rhinos did an excellent job and it was seamless from start to finish. I couldn't have been more impressed with everyone! Mike was very patient with all my questions and Kim did a great job helping me with colors, as well as Joleen and Mary with scheduling! My painters Carlos and Daniel did an exceptional job in paying attention to detail, the paint job is outstanding! They were incredibly patient as well in dealing with my many requests. I am very detail oriented, so don't miss a thing and they were great. I ended up having my entire retainer wall painted with dry lock from top to bottom because I liked the appearance of it better then just the bottom portion. This is what made the cost rise a bit, but well worth the finished product. I just kept saying to Carlos and Daniel, I can't believe this is my house, I literally hung out in front for 2 hours after they finished. The transformation from what it looked like before to now, was unbelievable, it looks like a new house, and the gate looks brand new too! So THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to everyone I worked with at Crash of Rhinos I will be telling all my friends and neighbors about your work and in fact, one of them is having her house painted by you guys next month, because she loved the work you did at my house! I also had several compliments from my neighbors in how much they loved the paint job and the colors! Outstanding customer service and quality, I highly recommend Crash of Rhinos!!

I love this company! They are incredibly upfront, honest, knowledgeable and professional. Mike, the owner, came out to give me a free quote. He spent his time to explain everything, my various options and what it would cost me. He then told me how I could save money, what was necessary and what wasn't necessary. This is so refreshing to me! A company that is honest and tries to help you save money! He even went ahead and did quotes for the various options I asked for, even though he knew I was not going through with it. He is an incredibly nice guy and I truly appreciate how he does business. I highly recommend this company! You will not regret hiring them!

So I had Crash of Rhinos and another outfit that was highly rated come to give me estimates. The other painters and Crash of Rhinos was pretty close as far as cost goes, but that was not the difference. Mike came to my house with info from the Maricopa county records as far as the layout of my house on the map. He then went around my house and took pictures of all that needed to be painted, so he could share with his crew. He went to his car and printed out a presentation that knocked my socks off. It outlined everything they would do. He explained he had dedicated crews and did not sublet or pick up workers from the home centers, which was important to me.The estimate was only a couple of hundred dollars more than the other estimate, but he did not want any money until the job was done. Everything was spelled out in detail. That info sold me plus the fact he had pride in his company. The next step was figuring out what colors we wanted. We were in constant email contact with Kim, who sent emails every week reminding us the date would be here soon. And after changing our minds a few times the colors were picked. The day came and the crew showed up when they said they would, did a outstanding prep job and covered everything that needed to be covered before they started.The work was outstanding, they did what they said they would and it looks outstanding. If you are looking for someone to do some painting do yourself a big favor and give Mike a call, you will not be disappointed.

Just finished getting our house painted & these guys did a fantastic job. We had several estimates prior to finding these guys that fell between too low or too high that made you wonder what you would actually get. Mike came out, did a walk through, answered all of our questions and then had a detailed estimate with supporting documents of his license/work sent a few days later. The estimate was very reasonable so we called back to ask if he could do another walk through with us before we made any decisions; he agreed without hesitation and was actually able to come that day. Not only did he agree without hesitation, he came from about an hour away to do so. We decided after that to use his company and they sent a detailed contract within a day or so. We also decided to use the paint consult option that is done with his wife Kim. Kim is very nice, patient and more than willing to do what is needed to make sure you are happy with the color you will be getting. She provided several renderings for us and samples as well; she kept in great contact & was always very prompt. The day for painting came, the crew showed up on time and were very nice and professional. Lalo (not sure of spelling) and the crew were very nice, professional and were more than willing to answer questions with a smile. They did an excellent job with the prep work and cleaning up; you would never know they were there except for the new colors! Everyone from beginning to end was very professional, polite, friendly and always prompt. This was an excellent experience, would recommend them to anyone and will use again in the future!
