As a small general contractor, we provide very personalized attention. Every customer deals directly with Chris, the owner, and he typically performs part or all of the work himself. The services we provide include residential bathroom and kitchen remodeling, general home repairs & troubleshooting, custom sliding barn doors and custom shelving. HISTORY

Established in 2000.
We started out as new home builders in East Texas as Cornerstone Construction. In 2004, the opportunity for a project in Arizona was accepted and led to a permanent residence here in the Phoenix area along a slight name change to Cornerstone General Contracting, an Arizona LLC. Over the years, we have found our niche in smaller projects including interior remodeling and design.

ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER

Since about age 5, I've had a sincere interest in construction and design. Throughout my childhood, my parents taught me priceless lessons in honesty, integrity and professionalism, all with Jesus Christ's teachings at the core. As a builder and property investor, my dad was also able to teach me the ins and outs of residential and commercial construction, as well as general problem-solving skills.

I drew my first full-size house plan at age 12, helped build my parents house at age 14, and (with my dad's financial assistance and guidance), designed, built and sold my first spec home at age 19. During this project, I also took college classes part time in business, english, economics and real estate.

At 21, I built my own home, which I thoroughly enjoyed, but ultimately sold after moving here to Arizona in 2004.

I am now happily married with currently one son who is full of life and imagination. To sum it all up, we have been very blessed!

I can't say enough about how happy I am with the work Chris did for us. We needed one of our interior walls opened up to install a window AC unit. I called countless contractors and since the work we needed was considered small-scale, many contractors wanted to grossly overcharge or not do the job at all. But Chris treated me with respect and as much significance as I'm sure he treats his high-scale job clients. His professionalism is just one of his many proficiencies.
Chris was extremely helpful with planning how to do the job efficiently and cost-effectively and he always responded to my questions and concerns promptly. Chris's work was perfect! He stuck to the plan and his finished product was flawless. He even cleaned up after himself, including vacuuming up drywall dust! I couldn't be happier with Chris and I will be calling him for any work I need in the future.

Chris installed a custom window to enclose an office space in a second floor. He does quality work. He is very detailed oriented, responsive, and a good planner. He sent us a design and was so impressed that he understood what we wanted. Highly recommend his work.

Chris converted our den into a bedroom by framing in an open door way and installing a sliding barn door. He matched everything perfectly and the house looks like it was built this way. We are very pleased with the quality of the workmanship and attention to detail. If I had any complaints it is that it took awhile to get on the schedule to get the work done (more than 6 weeks). Fortunately, we weren't in a hurry to get this done so the extended timeline was a minor inconvenience. I would use Chris again for future projects.
