After a pipe burst in my ancient shower,
I was grateful that Khalif was able to come over within the hour and he had the drying equipment with him.  He was very professional and knowledgeable in all of the steps needed.  He was able to call my insurance company and together they confirmed this was a fully covered claim.
His intervention saved me from stress and gave my wife and i peace of mind.
Thank you Khalif and Copper State!

I would like to thank Copper State for the great job they provided after my water heater went out and water damage to walls their company was assigned to me.  Tyler came out to explain what will need to be done to dry out the walls and next steps to get reconstruction done.  I let him know this was my first major issue at my house so I was in panic mode but he kept me at ease and helped me to understand and he was there each step of the way for any issues or questions I had.  Carissa the office manager provided great customer service and walked me thru the paperwork I needed to complete and what the next steps would be.  When there was an issue I contacted Carissa who in turn contacted Tyler and they fixed the issue right away.  This is a great company to work with and all of their employees that I worked with when coming out to check the machines  drying walls were very nice people!!

Copper State came out and did work in April 2022, for a plumbing issue.  Now a year later we are receiving bills for over $3000 that is now due.  I pay one bill and they conveniently come up with another invoice now owed.  Once I pay this invoice, I am sure they will come up with more invoices I owe for.  Select another company to deal with, or you will being paying invoices to them for years to come.  Scam is the word the comes to my mind when I think of Copper State.

Wow, for a short days work they charged over $8,000. I hope the insurance company got Vaseline with that.  They did a terrible job on what they did do and gave us so much runaround afterwards we had someone else finish.  They put plastic down and there was always a big bump in one spot.  Turns out the idiots left a glove under the plastic.  Bet we got charged a bunch for that glove.
They seriously nickel and dimed everything like $8 to remove a p trap on the sink.  Sorry, but I can remove a p trap in 20 seconds and I'm not even a plumber.

NO!  Definitely don't recommend.

Called July 31 work completed Oct 8 never followed up only called to receive payment. Demo crew misplaced motion sensor and light fixtures. Gene who initially came out over promised and under delivered once his part was done he didn't respond to texts or calls.  1st person they sent to look at damages was unprofessional 2 hours late and didn't even have a tape measure with him. Only giving 2 stars because they came out quickly to remove damage to ceiling and they sent A team construction.

Do not do business with this company, we had a water leak and had a plumber come out and said we needed a restoration company since it was an insurance deal, so they call copper sate, when the tech arrived he set fans pointing into the cabinets and told us he has seen hundreds of these and insurance pays. we had the fans for 4 days and the insurance decided not to cover , i called and the had the fans picked up within an hour, i called back and asked how much i owe since its not covered and got the answer its not my dept. it took 2 weeks with no call back when i got an invoice for 1547.00 $ when i called to talk to someone , i called 4 days in a row and finally got someone , she told me sorry but usually insurance pays for it. buts thats our price, horrible customer service. receptionist skills none, no one calls you back. this company does not care about the average blue-collar worker.i dont know why it says ca. we live in surprise az

This company was contracted by the moving company I used. So far they have done the dry out and demo work, yet cannot and will not give me a timeline of when the restoration will begin. The office staff hang up on me and screen my calls. The owner, Clint Fessler, hangs up on me after yelling and threatening to not get the work done for me. I would not recommend this company at all. Highly unprofessional.

wow. i have never experienced anything like this. READ ALL REVIEWS. THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS WORKING IN CONJUNCTION WITH PLUMBERS, RIPPING OFF PEOPLE & INSURANCE COMPANIES. they came & did a big sales pitch, saying they would take care of everything. placed drying equipment up. set a 9 am appointment for a friday. no show. no call. i reach out. they say running late. be there afternoon. at 430pm, still no call. no show. i reach out. they say sorry. at emergency. will be there 10am tomorrow.. saturday 10am. no call no show. i reach out at noon. sorry we are understaffed. you are the ONLY ONE ON OUR SCHEDULE FOR TOMORROW between 1 - 2 pm.. Sunday 1 - 2 pm. no call. no show. monday & tuesday i call office to resolve issue. promised a call from project manager (2 days in a row). no return call from manager. WARNING: HORRIBLE COMPANY. AVOID.  They came first day to do a little demo work, but never showed up after that. i think this is a cheesey money making gimmick. they make a mess, abandon the job, then charge you even though they didn't complete the job. i hope everyone who experiences this reports them to bbb & registrar of contractors. Update: they made an appointment to come pick up their equipment. they didn't show up for that either. their stuff is still sitting in my home.  this is a truly pathetic group.

Our warranty plumber (my first mistake) was suppose to come out and unclog our tub drain. Instead, they disassembled our drain and did not reassemble if before they left. I did not realize they did this and my roommate took a shower, flooding both of our bathrooms since they share the same wall. We called Mr. Rooters (don't use them either) immediately and they diagnosed the drain piece as the issue. They called Copper State to help clean up the flood. Copper State called our insurance for us which felt a little weird but I went along with it since I have never experienced anything like this before. Copper State said they would waive $1000 off of our $1500 claim deductible. They set up dehumidifiers and took an asbestos test. They said we would have to demo our entire bathroom to make sure we did not have mold. Remove both vanities, tub, flooring, and wall. They said the asbestos test came back positive and we would have to be put up in a hotel room during demo. I had to postpone the demo due to family being in town. Although I clearly communicated the start date to both Copper State and my insurance adjuster, they sent the demo team two weeks early. In addition, the people they sent were not from Copper State. They hired a third party and did not tell us. This was a red flag and I decided to look up Copper State on yelp. I had done this during our first meeting but I typed in the wrong name and then forgot to follow up on it. The reviews terrified me, especially since they matched our experience to the tee. I decided to go with a company assigned by my insurance instead. I learned through the new mitigation company that asbestos tests should be taken by a third party. Copper State took their own samples. The new mitigation company said the asbestos test came back with less than 2% which wasn't a concern. We were not put up in a hotel during demo. Not sure if this was the correct response to the results, but we didn't get sick... They only took out half the floor, one vanity, and the bottom half of the drywall. Tub and other vanity was not removed.

Copper State ended up charging our insurance $3,220 just for two humidifiers and an asbestos test. They were suppose to pick up the dehumidifiers after three days and I had to call them twice to pick them up after 5 days. They denied to waive our $1000 deductible even though we did not agree to them doing the demo. The authorization just said testing and equipment.

Weeks after finishing the job with them, I received a call from an air quality company trying to schedule an appointment with us through Copper State.

This just reiterated their horrible communication and scheduling skills. I'm glad we didn't follow through with them.

Use the contractors your insurance recommends! And prepare yourself... it will take a few weeks after demo for your house to be reassembled no matter what direction you take.

Our original problem was taken care of by another company.  Copper State decided to rip our bathroom and half of the kitchen apart looking for asbestos.  We told them that a previous asbestos check was negative.  The two unsupervised employees tore out and broke the quartz countertop, ripped out the cabinets with a crowbar, and broke the dishwasher. They brought in three large machines that made our entire house rumble.  Copper State said there was asbestos and they tore out the entire kitchen floor and the bathroom floor.  They hammered sheets of plastic  into the walls and trim.  The walls were removed down to the studs.  Our appliances were placed in the livingroom, patio, and on the carport.  The tub surround was reduced to shreds.  The workers said that Copper State would replace everything at no cost to us.   We were forced to leave our house and return to our other home.  We were told that the entire job would take two weeks on March 22.  It's May 18 and nothing has been started.  We are looking for legal assistance.

In Mid October, 2021, I called  MasterRooter in regards to a sewer backup that affected both bathrooms in my home. They ended up calling Copper State to come out to evaluate the situation. I made the blunder and agreed to the abatement and mitigation. My bathrooms were gutted for months. We had to contact their office and ask why the blowers hadn't been picked up yet after their use. Their response was,we thought they had. We constantly contacted them about the estimate for my insurance company. The delay was due to only one person handling the estimates. Not my problem. Well, my insurance company finally received the estimate and my jaw dropped. Fortunately, I went with another company to rebuild based on the claim and not the possible added on possible costs from Copper State. 2 stars, based on trust and kickbacks. They will never again gain entrance into my home. I never felt quite right about using them.

Quality customer service is hard to come by in these times but Kennedi Curnutt with Copper State is the embodiment of what customer service means. She is professional, helpful, and informative. Every question I had she was either able to answer or was able to quickly get the answer for me. She was very kind and very patient with me even when I may not have been at my most polite. Restorations can be a head ache but but luckily for this company they have a dedicated and motivated employee such as Kennedi working for them to help mitigate any questions or concerns one might have. 10/10 would recommend using this company.

This company is terrible and I MEAN TERRIBLE! I could honestly right a book about all the things that went wrong. They are scam artist and are committing insurance fraud. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THEM. There is a network that Cooper State works together with; from the plumber to the contracting companies and so forth. Do not let you plumber call a restoration company in without you asking who they are using. If you have an issue and have to file and insurance claim DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT use Copper State. They hire contractors who do crappy work and then wash their hands of the matter after they are paid. I could go on but I won't.

In short- STAY AWAY!

If I could give negative stars I would!

In my not so humble opinion, these are scam artists, not professional contractors.  We had a serious kitchen plumbing problem, called Elite Rooters, and upon their guy arriving,, within about five minutes he announced he would call in their clean up crew..which turned out to be Copper State Home Builders.  An hour or so later, they declared the need for a major tear-up of our tile flooring in order to replace some pipe which they claimed had root damage (subsequently determined to be not true)..I was frequently assured that there would be no out of pocket expense to us...insurance company would foot the bills..  Upon further investigation, we discovered that this twosome had a well documented hsitory of such behaviour and that the work recommended was not in fact necessary at all.  These are bad dudes!

Have heard the supervisors of this company using older racial slurs like,ol boy to their minority employee. I cant believe the guy has such a great attitude working for a company that treats him like that. One black guy doing all the work while the white guys standing there talking crap. Very evident to see. Companies like this need to go.

We had a water leak in the master bedroom and called Master Rooter.
1.  The repairman could not identify the source of the leak;
2.   Master Rooter called Copper State.  Master Rooter and Copper State
are the same company!
3.   Copper State had me sign an agreement to do mitigation and
     abatement;
3.   Copper State damaged two bathrooms including walls and vanities;
4.   Copper State conducted an unnecessary asbestos analysis;
5.   Copper State charged me $2,200+ to destroy my house and the leak
      is still not fixed.

Would I recommend copper state? No.

I spent quite sometime trying to have patience with the company but some of their practices are shady. I was engaged in a business relation with them for one month. The first week they stated I needed to sign paperwork to get started. I refused because I didn't have a statement of work or timeframe. They stated they would get started without the document. Week two they stated they would be out, then never showed up. Contractor was contacted but he was busy. The next week I called and they stated he should have already been out. They call the contractor and tell him to call me. He doesn't call until Friday. He stated he can come out until next week. I call the next week and try to an eta. He gets annoyed and tells me he doesn't have the time to come out and it will take two weeks to come out.

We are already 3 weeks into the project. I have already paid the $500 deductible to start the work before insurance. And the contractor gets angry I have asked for an eta so he tells me he doesn't have time and that I should request a refund.

I called office and we cancelled the project.

Pros about this company:

Monyque is probably the best experience i had with this company. She has a beautiful personality and I appreciate her.

The water mitigation group were professional and kind. They broke my toilet and didn't pay for it but it's whatever at this point.

The condo above ours had a bunch of hidden leaks that caused a lot of damage and mold long before anyone knew there was a problem.  By the time we saw water and called a plumber, the plumber immediately knew a mitigation team was needed due to the presence of a ton of mold.  Copper State was there an hour later and had everything beginning to dry out within a few hours.  Over the course of the next few days, the leak was found, patched, and complete drying took place.  This was all quick and excellent mitigation work by Jeremy and his fellow crew members.  What I didn't know, was that Copper State would be doing work for me for the next 3 months.

For the next 3 months David Burbey, our project manager would help me fight tooth and nail with the HOA management company to get this bill paid.  The HOA management representative was completely useless, so Dave helped me inform every adjuster, board member, neighbor, etc. on exactly what was going on, so that the board could hold a vote to force the HOA management representative to get with the program and do her 10 minutes of work.  Dave spent 85 days working with me to get the bill paid, so that I wouldn't have to pay it out of my pocket because I had done nothing wrong.  I just happened to purchase a unit underneath someone who thought it wasn't a big deal to let their water heater leak for years.  Dave probably put in a solid 20 hours of work writing emails and talking to people on the phone just to get a bill paid that they had already done the work for.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY, YOU WILL REGRET IT.

I did a lot of research into my 5 star plumbing company, so I didn't bother doing research on Copper State since my plumbers recommended them. Bad idea, these companies are obviously in cahoots to generate more business for each other, not giving a damn about the customer.

My Bathtub spigot eroded and while the plumbing company fixed it easily, cheaply and quickly, they insisted on calling Copper State for the mold that was probably in the wall. No lie, I was frightened by the possibility of black mold, so I complied.

Copper State came in and took some measurements and told me the level of moisture was extremely high and I most likely had mold. But they couldn't test for mold before they tested for lead and asbestos! We had techs coming through for days after, they set up very loud disruptive blowers for 5 days!

Well of course the lead and asbestos tests came back negative, but they wanted to open up my wall to be sure. Thank heavens I nixed that idea. There was no mold anywhere.

A month after the repair I got a certified letter in the mail letting me know I owed about $4000. Ummmmm I never even got a Bill, just this threatening letter. My insurance company got scammed out of $1700 for this bogus fictional repair. I had to contact a protect manager to have them send me an itemized Bill. Well, I know why they don't send out itemized bills, there was stuff on there I never approved, duplicative items and tons of unnecessary unrelated items. They want another $2700 from me now, and they are backed up by a mechanics lien on my property.

Needless to say, with my husband dying of cancer this bill is not a high priority especially with the thousands we owe our oncologist, but I have no doubts 2020 will bring more threatening letters and possibly a huge hit to my credit score.

I'm writing reviews everywhere I can, I'll be calling the BBB and our local scam buster too. But I want folks to know how HORRIBLE this company is.

I'm updating my original review because Copper State Home Builders reached out to me.  To their credit, they offered to come back and fix the nicks and scratches their team made to what had been a freshly remodeled space.  They also saw that the final contractor who finished the rebuild on my place (Contact Restoration) had left roller marks on the ceilings.  I'd not noticed them, but Copper State pointed the roller marks out (apparently considered to be poor work) and Copper State took that on as their responsibility as well.  I thought that was pretty cool and mighty right of them.

Clint sent out Dave, a really meticulous painter.  Dave protected everything and cleaned up those leftover punch list items that had not been completely taken care of after my leak.  Who knows when I'd ever have the time to do them.  Now I won't have to, thanks to Clint and Copper State.

Thank you for being nice enough to take my review to heart, not hold it against me, but instead, stepping up to the plate to clean up the problem areas originally affected by that leak.  That was a stand up thing to do.

If you want a great paint job... be sure to ask for Dave.

A very frustrating company. My husband and I had a leak that lead into the roof of our garage. We called a plumber who then called copper state because of presence of mold. Copper state came out, tore out a huge portion of the garage ceiling and sent the claim to our insurance. We didn't want to go through insurance so we canceled the claim, and have been trying for the past month to get a bill from them for the work already completed so we could do the patch work ourselves. Every time we call, the receptionist always states the adjuster has to review the work and come up with the bill. She promises to call us back and NEVER DOES. We just got an email, not with our bill, but asking when we want to set up the day for them to come out to patch the hole when we already told them we would do it ourselves. Extremely frustrating. We just want to pay it and get it over with.

If I could give them 0 stars I would.  Horrible in every way.  Insurance scam, workmanship. reliability, communication, etc.  I can't even get through to their office.  I've been disconnected three times today.  I'm sure that the work they are suppose to complete is completely unnecessary.

If you plan to use this company for restoration or timely construction work, FORGET IT. Their lack of professionalism, attention to detail, communication, time management and sense of urgency is disgusting. Our claim was opened with them BEFORE Halloween. Today is January 2nd. We had a water leak, where mold was discovered. The plumber that was dispatched from our home warranty company recommended Copper State from the beginning (they are owned by the same person). On the 30th of October, Copper State tore up our garage, laundry room, and babies play room and then DISAPPEARED.  We have been waiting for OVER two months and construction hasn't even begun (and their plumbing company NEVER finished the work)! Our house was in pieces all throughout the holidays. We inquired  almost daily on the status of our claim and never received a clear explanation of next steps or the hold up. The young lady, who's name I will not mention, even went so far as to say that our claim wasn't as high of a priority because we hadn't suffered as much damage as other homes. What that tells me is that they are motivated by $, not by providing quality work or quality customer service.

Copper State says the hold up is USAA. Not according to USAA, who's reputation far better proceeds them. Copperstate couldn't even get the photos and measurements they took over a month ago to USAA in a timely fashion so WE had to take and submit photos to USAA.

Copper State just came to get a sample of our wood flooring TODAY. It has literally been over two months. The employee today was appalled at the condition our home was left in by other representatives of his company-- AND keep in mind, we have THREE children!

Our house has been in pieces, with three children, all throughout the holidays. No one has stepped up from this company and apologized or admitted fault. No one has stepped up to expedite this process. I hope owners or management monitor this Yelp page because I can't believe an owner would knowingly allow this poor representation and customer service to continue.

This company is a scam. We just bought our house and had a plumbing issue and did not know what to do how to react point is this company showed up and said the insurance would take care of everything and charged us almost $3000 just to remove the tub abr faucet and had a machine plugged in for water damage im so glad I didn't contract them for the actual work or who knows how much more money they would have taken. Point is do your research and don't let anyone into your house if you have a problem in your house because you can find someone trustworthy and honest before trusting this company.

After my home flooded I called Copper State and from the very beginning, they were extremely professional. This company is irresponsible
Has a leak in laundry room from attic damage drywall on ceiling. The remove my washer and dryer tear the connection from the dryer to wall. Then remove drywall at base of floor where there was no damage and didn't remove any thing on ceiling and leave ot for 3 days and then didn't return the schedule day. During that time they broke handle pn the fire dppr tp garage and cracked it. The mext group came out after I had to call to get it rescheduled. They did a good job and hooked a nlower up to ceiling whoch should have been done prior. They said they would be out next day to check moisture level never came out so had to call again 3 days after. They took the blower out asked when they would be out to start rest of the work he said they would call. Of course no one called. I called again and they said they would have to schedule it. I finally went with another company amd when calling back to inquire about the damage they said it's not their responsibility and then wonder why people get upset. The office said she can't help it cause she training people hopefully better

I had a major sewer backup in Master Bath,  the plumbing company, called Copper State as I didn't know who to contact.  Copper State came out and   took photo's and set up a claim for me with my Homeowners Insurance. Project was assigned to Alexa and Courtney. They assigned to Muharem a wonderful reconstruction worker who did an amazing job on the Master Bath. Muharem was wonderful to work with,  due to my husband having Alzheimer's and change gets him very upset Muharem talked with my husband and let him know what he was doing and worked with us on our schedule.  I am very satisfied with the work that was done and also with Copper State in general.

Copper State Home Builder is an absolute nightmare, and no one, I mean **No one** should ever let them into their house, period.

First off, they work with shady businesses and arrange Kickback payments with plumbers who refer them to victims, for those interested, Kickbacks are illegal practices in business, maybe someone can look into this.

So I had a water leak and got a plumber from Yelp who came in and within 5 minutes called Copper State.

Inside of 45 minutes there was a CS van in front of my house and a guy calling up my homeowners insurance opening a claim for water damage, which wow, seemed awesome.

The same day 2 guys showed up and started setting up containment plastic and then a 3rd guy came to test for Asbestos, so far so good.

They tell me once the results were back from the test they would send a crew.

Welp, the next morning a crew showed up and setup an asbestos containment area, and what they call a Negative air containment zone where they had 3 industrial air-filters / dehumidifiers pulling air out of the entire zone and blowing it out small vents in the plastic, great, except, my Air Conditioner intake was dead-center of this Zone.

Oh, but first, they removed my water heater from where this zone would be to prevent it from being damaged.

Did they put it in my living room with my sink? No, did they put it on my back porch which was covered?  No.  At least on my front porch which is covered?  Nope.

Instead this guy rolled my $1,000 water heater through my gravel front yard and left it out of view of my security cameras on the far side of my house, where I do not have a window, a gate to the backyard or anything.

I have video of this on YouTube, with a simple search anyone can find and watch it as it will be a public video by the time this BBB review goes up.

ANYWAY....

Within 5 hours I could hear my blower motor rattling and struggling to start up and run, I emailed them and tried to call to ask about it, no one cared, they were fast to do billable work on a weekend, but answer my concerns? Yeah right.

Oh, another note on this Containment zone, the Top men who did the work left 4 gaping holes in the plastic, big enough for a grown man to walk through, so I am sure the Asbestos they claimed was in there could find its way out, I sent a furious email about it, you tell me there is Asbestos and to stay out, and you leave us for 3 days with giant holes in your safety zone?

I fixed the holes myself and ask for reimbursement, of course I will never get it, because this company does not care about people, it is all profit.

So the next day comes and I hear my AC condenser pump running, running... Running, no cold air.  AC burned out, house is getting hot, this is Phoenix in the Summer on a 110 degree day.

I let copper state know, they ignored me and then eventually replied denying it was them, they denied putting my water heater in the stupidest possible place until I sent them video of their guys doing it.

Anyway, I called an AC repairman and upon inspection, yep, AC Blower motor burned up. $1,700 to fix it.  Where is Copper State's same day responses now?  It is nowhere to be found.  My Project manager's response was complaining about how much work she has to do other than my file, I found her responses highly aggressive and abusive, refusing the take any accountability for their damage to my appliances.

Oh yes, the word damages!

They absolutely ripped my house apart, during which I heard the worker in my hallway say, and I quote This is how confident I am that there is no asbestos here! and when I saw him leave their containment zone, he was no longer wearing his hazmat suit and breathing apparatus.

Do you think Copper State told my insurance company that they actually didn't find asbestos and just faked the test to be able to charge them more? I am not sure if I will be asking my agent this question or not, because honestly, I no longer care.

I had to yell to get them to come take down their entire containment zone, and now my walls are littered with staples and have paint missing everywhere because of where their workers tore the tape off that was holding up their plastic containment stuff, honestly, a 3 year old child would have done a better job.

So now here I sit in my house, which is littered with holes because Copper State told the plumber they would open up walls so he could find the leak, since the plumber I hired is from the Roman Empire and uses the old fashion way of finding leaks, knocking giant holes in walls near pipes.

But you see, Copper State tells you it is ok because they tell you they are going to fix it.  But of course, that is only if you give them the green light to finish the job, for which you will owe them money up front, I was going to give them the job, but after ruining my Air Conditioner and denying that 3 INDUSTRIAL AIR HANDLERS sucking air out of an AC intake could burn up a motor, they proved they are a 1000% dishonest company

After our water leak through the ceiling in the living room from upstairs, Copper State was very attentive...in the beginning, but all in all it took them 2 months to complete the entire job. The tile guy left a bit of a mess that I had to clean up. Copper State did offer to come back to clean it, but I had already done it.

Also, there were some other minor issues they needed to come back and fix, which they did.

They did do a very nice job on the dry wall, tile, etc.

Lorenzo did a great job.  He was very courteous and professional.  Highly recommend having him manage your project.  Paula, in the office, took care of dealing with my insurance company and made the process very easy.

Our water heater failed and leaked water through the drywall in multiple rooms.  The plumber referred us to Copper State who mitigated the water damage and rebuilt everything as it was prior.

This was the first time we had to make an insurance claim so the process wasn't completely intuitive at first and felt long at times in between the initial demo, then the insurance adjuster, then the rebuild but it all came together and we're happy with the job.

Would work with them again but would insist Lorenzo manage the job as he was top notch professional.

Copper state did a wonderful job for my family's house. We went on vacation and when we came back our livingroom had a leak in the wall. We had a pipe in the wall that went to the backyard that had a pin hole which was leaking for about 2 or 3 weeks. Copper State had Marco come out with his crew to do all the dry out. dry wall and replace all new flooring throughout our house of over 3000 sq ft living space. Marco had to redo our kitchen cabinets. And he even matched the texture finish on our livingroom walls and kitchen walls. I would reconmend Cooper State and Marco again.

Pete and Alex demo/mitigation team came to the home this evening, they were so nice. It's always so hard when you're home gets flooded but having compassionate people like Pete and Alex who explained the step-by-step process puts the mind at ease. Pete showed us that the wood was dry and the technique they use to verify it.
This makes it a lot easier for a homeowner like myself to understand and making this a lot less stressful process.

Thank you Pete and Alex! You guys are  great! :)

I can not say ENOUGH great things about Copper State and Jeremy, Bruce after a wash machine that broke and flooded my home!
The professionalism is unsurpassed and these men worked at my home yesterday from 9:30am to almost 7pm, and NEVER even stopped to take a break for lunch!!
They explained everything they were doing and answered any questions I had.

There was a small leak in my condo, so after it was diagnosed by a plumber, who stopped the leak, it was determined that a restoration company would need to come in to do the following 1. water mitigation/clean the area & 2. repair the damaged area. The plumber recommended Copper State Home Builders and said they would come out and give a free estimate. A tech from CSHB came out quickly, asked a few questions, such as if this was going to be a cash job or insurance.  Once I said it would be insurance, they said it was a pretty standard situation, but couldn't give me an estimate. That's where I should have walked away, but I felt pressured to get it fixed. I told CSHB they could start the water mitigation. Throughout the whole process I kept well documented notes (times at residence, names of techs, work being done, etc) and come to find out it saved me and the insurance company a ton of money in the end. Once CSHB completed their work, they said they submitted for reimbursement to the insurance company and wanted me to sign a form for the insurance company to pay them directly. I asked CSHB numerous times for a copy of the bill, however they refused and said they deal one on one with the insurance company. I thought that sounded strange so I told them I would not sign the direct payment authorization. I called my insurance company, who immediately sent me a copy of CSHB's bill. WHAT A BUNCH OF LIES!!!! CSHB submitted charges for days they didn't work, tests that weren't completed and amounts that far surpassed what would be considered acceptable. Just one of many examples: CSHB said they have to test for asbestos per Federal Law (which they can't say which law). The lab, which I called, said they did test three samples for Abestos from my approximate 3' x 2' damaged area. The lab said their charge was $15.00 per sample, for a total of $45.00, however CSHB submitted a lab charge to the insurance company for almost $500.00!!! After reviewing all the fraudulent changes, I emailed CSHB asking for clarification, after not getting any answers, I called and spoke with the rep, going line by line on the charges. At the end of the day, the amount that CSHB received for their work was SIGNIFICANTLY less than what they had submitted to the insurance company. I ended up using a different company for the 2. repair of the damaged area.

Disclaimer - I knew from the very beginning that I wasn't going to have to pay anything more than a deductible to the insurance company. I just couldn't sit back and let CSHB so blatantly take advantage of the situation.

Recommendations-
1. NEVER use Copper State Home Builders
2.  If going through insurance, ask them for recommendations
3. Get an upfront estimate
4. Keep a lot notes
5. NEVER use Copper State Home Builders.

I'm sure they do good work, IMHO ,just didn't feel confident in their estimate, felt uncomfortable with the pricing and the situation at hand.
I had a leak from a water valve for the Fridge( Home Depot installed)
Asked  a plumbing company that we trusted previously, come to check on the leak, on a Saturday. ..CS was recommended & showed up later than expected. They advised up to $4000.00 but you wanna go through your Home insurance. As with any costly repair, I needed a second opinion from the home owner & asked for a written quote.
'I was told the estimate would be emailed to me that day in order to send snail- mail to Owner of house. I never received the quote.
My husband & I did the research on the EPA website( done mold remediation before & we are quite familiar with it, coming from East Coast) and removed the drywall to expose a minimal amount of damage( less than 3 sq ft) in an afternoon.
Sorry guys.

Only giving a one star review because I'm not certain how to give a zero star review. What is the worst movie you've ever seen? Gigli, any movie with Nicolas cage (other than leaving Las Vegas which was a fine piece of work), any m night shyamalan movie post-signs? Whatever your most awful movie-going experience was, could it have been worse than being on the phone for a collective couple of hours over the course of 3 months trying to get a company to perform its warranty obligated repairs on your guest bath so that friends and family can take a decent shit when visiting? Certainly not. So yes yelp friends, my experience with Copper State Home Builders is worse than your worst movie going experience.

I had water damage in my bathroom which traveled
To my second bathroom .  The floor was soaking wet and it proceeded up the walls.  I contacted
Elite Rooter plumbing who came out at 8:30 that
Night.  The lines were backed up  and he said we needed to get water damage guys out pronto!!  They Came to my rescue.  They started the fans
Going that night and were back in the morning
To remove wet insulation  and then replaced
It and sprayed with an anti fungus to prevent
My allergies from getting the best of me.  David
Was fantastic!!!  Very professional  and even
Answers his own phone!!!  I spoke to him many times unlike my insurance adjuster who I only
Spoke to once and never saw.  He just wanted everything done by email!  They can out today and Vau did a marvelous job putting everything back together.  It looks like nothing ever happened.
Thanks to David  and Copper State they were 5 star.

They turned a horrible situation and flipped it upside down, and made life 1000% times easier for us. We had a flood in our home, and since this being the first time experiencing a flood we didn't know what to do. We called all the various restoration companies and were recommended to Copper State Home Builders by our local used plumber. They arrived on time with all their tools, and equipment.

They explained how they work, and the various contracts that we need  to sign for our insurance agencies. All the paperwork was done in one instance. I was worried that it was going to take a while for us to get all the paperwork squared away.

Our job was done in a little more than two weeks. No issues arise from the situation, and the insurance covered it all.

Like many people here the plumbers recommend this place to use. At first they were great. They were doing work on my 90 year old mother's sink. They also did a test for absetos which came back positive. That was very surprising to the hoa.  They said that no one in the buildings had problems with absetos while remodeling. Well they had to use a abatement which is fine. As long as my mother's place is safe. My issue with this company is that after they were paid they would not come back to fix a mistake they made putting an extra panel under her sink. So that extra panel blocked off her storage under her sink. I am hoping that they will come back to fix it. I have called multiple times, sent emails and no progress. Wish I had read the previous reviews. I would have thought twice about using them. And had I known about the gouging they do to the insurance company of also would have asked for a itemized bill. Lesson learned.

I used this company after a burst pipe in the wall cause damage to my downstairs lounge. From the first call, the team was extremely competent, professional, and understood exactly what I need to fix my problem. They explained my situation, and gave me a deadline regarding the various task to solve my problem.

They arrived on time, and went straight towards working on my problem. They were in constant contact with us regarding everything that need to be addressed for our project. All their workers who came to home were very respectful, professional, and responsible to clean up after themselves so our place looked like before. They made the whole process seem easy, even though we tried other companies for similar task and they made it real difficult. The final results look a lot better than we could possibly imagine. If you have the need for water restoration services, I would highly recommend working with Clint, and his team at Copper State Home Builders. Their work is a home run in my book.

You will be very sorry if you use them. They ripped my house apart and told me they would be back in two days then told me five days and then told me a month before they would be back to finish the job. Their work crew where a bunch of young punks that harassed the single mom that is my tenant. The absolute most unprofessional outfit I've ever dealt with and I will be filing a lawsuit for damages.  The owner is the biggest jerk I've ever dealt with as he did nothing but lie through the whole process. I scratch my head as to how these guys stay in business.

I had the great pleasure of witnessing this great company that was called out to my building not long ago. One of the top units experienced a huge leak and water was everywhere in my unit. The whole apartment from the kitchen, den and living room to the hallways, and the inside of several of my neighbors were flooded.

The management office immediately called Copper State Home Builders and within an hour they arrived. Their entire response time was amazing during the duration of the clean up and where most people were seemingly stressed. The crew was very professional and diligent with their work. They were super professional, and too immediate action to resolve all the water leak.  Everyone affected by the leak was very pleased with the results.

I am shocked that anyone has a good review for this pathetic company.  If you want the job done well and right and in a timely manner, do not use this company. I would tell you about my ridiculous drama with them but I would merely be repeating all of the same complaints others have already written in other reviews. The supervisor I dealt with would be a really good used car salesman. All he does is blow smoke. I can't begin to explain how disappointed and disgusted I am with Copperstate.  I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. If you have a job that is important to you, look elsewhere to have it fixed.

In the home restoration system, the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups: the contractor, who is supposed to do the work, and the homeowner, who is supposed to pay. This is my story. DUN DUN.

Sorry, Maybe that intro was a bit dramatic and if you aren't a Law & Order fan than no doubt you're lost. BUT that intro was no less ridiculous then my experience with Copper State Home Builders. Here's what happened...last year a pipe burst in our kitchen. We called the insurance co. and they sent out a plumber. The plumber fixed the pipe but there was a ton of damage. He recommended Copper State to repair the damage and told us they would wave the $1000 deductible. Red Flag #1. Copper State came out and our journey began. For 9 MONTHS we dealt with this company. Our kitchen was useless and our refrigerator was in our living room, for almost a year. They no-showed on appointments, switched overseers multiple times, constantly made excuses about why they weren't making any progress and at one point, the lead guy told me I'll call you, so you don't have to worry about that, I'll always be in touch. (Laughing) I may lie to you about why we don't come out, but I'll always call. I was stunned. Did he just admit, while laughing, that he was going to lie to me about why they no-show?! This statement itself was a lie because he didn't keep in touch or call after this visit.

Finally, after almost a year of a destroyed kitchen and about a dozen measurement appointments for new cabinets, they ordered a complete set of cabinets for our kitchen. The cabinets came, my husband and I measured them...and they were to small. They were at least 2 feet shorter then the cabinets we originally had which means there would be a 2 foot concrete gap between our year old tile and the cabinets (our previous cabinets were upper middle range and a typical size...they were very common cabinets and should have been easy to order). We were so angry we could barely breathe.
We called them and said we were done. They made some ridiculous statement about charging us a fee to take the cabinets back but after telling them we would not pay and would never deal with them again, they removed the fee.

From there I became my own contractor and, I'm not even kidding, got my kitchen back together in TWO MONTHS. It took me two months to reconstruct a beautiful, new and improved kitchen. When I think of the time I wasted with these yahoo's I can barely stand it. If you're good at research and organizing a few people then you certainly don't need this company. Heck, call me and I'll help you for free. Whatever keeps you out of the clutches of these money pit scammers.

Integrity, professionalism, and expedient above and beyond service apply to the crew that was sent by Copper State Home Builders! The crew of Luis, Javier, and Pete was so positive, pleasant, and professional during what turned out to be an extremely challenging job! The jacuzzi tub in our master bathroom had a leak underneath it requiring the tub to be removed in order for the plumber to repair it. Two plumbing companies told my husband and I that, in order to do the repair, we were responsible for finding a company to remove the tub. We were also told our tub would need to be replaced after the repair because jacuzzi tubs typically are destroyed during removal. I wanted to try to find a company willing to at least try to salvage the tub during removal, as our jacuzzi tub wasn't even 10 years old. A third plumbing company referred us to Copper State Home Builders. Luis arrived first and he contacted my homeowners insurance to start a claim before the rest of the crew arrived. The crew arrived promptly and then proceeded over the next 3 1/2 hours to get the job done! They protected the floors and vanities with plastic, removed the faux marble surrounding the tub (which included getting through the extremely strong adhesive glue), removed the insulation, and then lifted the tub and carried it out to the back patio intact! The crew cleaned up thoroughly and left the master bathroom ready for the plumbing repair! All demonstrated an outstanding work ethic, which is rare today! I will definitely use Copper State Home Builders for any problems that arise in the future!

BEWARE! This company works with plumbers to get kick-backs using your insurance company as bait attempting to commit insurance fraud. They claim to waive your deductible to get you to file a claim for damage that is non -existent and told my insurance agent that I had signs of asbestos and needed to rip through the drywall and take Tile out. My insurance company sent their own plumbers and mitigation team and to my surprise, NO WORK was necessary. They abandoned their machines and fans and refused to pick them up now they are charging me $1700. They also want to use a text message as a contract of services and have threatened to send my file to their attorney and put a lien on my home. Most of the reviews state these same exact facts. Customers need to be aware. We are at their mercy already having a plumbing issue and how dare they take advantage of that. I have filed a BBB claim and will file a claim with AZ Registrar because now they are refusing to respond.

If I could give them a negative 5 stars I would! My mom hired them and they took weeks to get absolutely nothing done!!!! She then tried to get out of the contract and not only did the owner threaten to place a lien on her property but yelled and used profanity. Unprofessional and unethical please read the joke of a contract very carefully before your sign anything and hopefully that will change your mind!

I had a house call from them yesterday. Total scam.  In about five minutes I was told that my kitchen sink, cabinets and dishwasher would all have to be destroyed to be repaired. I have no standing water or odor.  I was also told that they would coach me on what to say to insurance.  They came in with a meter that reads water.  I think the meter is part of this scam, as there is no water, yet this meter detected water.   The second part of the scam is a plumber who is immaculately clean, (this is a dirty job so? ) He says the same exact thing, we have to tear out basically the whole kitchen.  I called a real plumber, Jim Acosta , he said you have a minor leak under the dishwasher.  The kitchen tear out would have been a nightmare, read the honest reviews, they all support each other.  Stay away.

They came quickly at the recommendation of another plumber who turned out to be a fraud.  Copper State dried up the bath (no mold) and tore out my bathroom, tub, plumbing, and all.  Then they got paid by my insurance. They then told me I could get some plumber cheaper than them and they couldn't come out to rebuild my bath for weeks. They also told me that they don't normally rebuild a bathroom. What?   I only received the valve of the entire plumbing system that I paid for to the fraud plumber.   Copper State put in the copper line to set up the valve but it was crooked, not tied, and stuck out where the wall was supposed to be. Three other independent plumbers told me it was a hack job done by an amateur.  Copper State wouldn't fix, wouldn't credit me, and wanted me to pay up-front so that maybe they would come out to finish my bath. No way was I letting them into my house again. Stay away from them.

I had a leak in my garage ceiling overnight. A plumber (not Copper State) came out and fixed the problem that day, and really pushed to get their mitigation guys over to handling drying everything out and/or replacing the damaged stuff. Later that day, their guys showed up and it's actually Copper State - a different company. Fine, they were already there and it would save me some effort, so I went along with it. They set up 4 air dryers (big suckers) and said it typically takes 3-4 days for the process to be completed. Meanwhile, Jeremy from Copper State waited outside in his truck to meet with my insurance adjuster so they could inspect everything and talk it all through, maybe avoiding any back-and-forth that might happen later. I attended this meeting also, wherein we outlined everything Jeremy needed to quote, viewing and inspecting all kinds of stuff in the garage and the floor and walls upstairs. This concluded with Jeremy telling me and my adjuster that he understood the items that needed quoting and would email us both a quote in the next day or two.

Four days later, we started calling them to see when they would be out to pick up their dryers, which have all been running 24 hours a day. They couldn't find our info, but would look into it and get back to us. We called again the next day, same thing. We then started calling Jeremy and their office 2-3 times a day, and they could never be bothered to figure out who we were or what we needed. A week into this, we finally demanded they come get their stuff out of our house regardless. Cost at this point: $400 power bill increase (presumably half of which was unnecessary) plus some mitigation cost that I still haven't seen, which at least will go into the insurance bucket.

Hey Copper State, where's our quote?
A few days later: Sorry for the delay, we'll send it right over
One week later: Who are you again? We don't have any record of you
Two weeks later: Hey, I've got that info to send over to you, what's your email address?
Three weeks later: Hi, we'd like to schedule removal of the air dryers in your garage!
Four weeks later: We don't do estimates. Your insurance company writes up a quote and then you have us do the work for the amount they are willing to pay. This is how it has always been done. This is how it will always be done. Your insurance company (founded in 1950) must not understand what they're doing. Sign this paperwork so we can do some stuff and worry about money afterward

Look, I'm a pretty patient and reasonable person - hence waiting a month for them to get around to me in the first place. I'm also in the construction business (countertops, unfortunately) and I know things can get a little hectic at times, plus my garage just isn't as important as those people who might be displaced from actually living in their homes. But there comes a point where your treatment of me becomes so grossly negligent, disrespectful, and downright insulting that I can't take it anymore, and today we hit that point. I felt the need to repeat my story here as a cautionary tale so that people with real emergency situations can be forewarned not to waste time with this company, which does not deliver GOOD service or FAST service. As for the cost, I doubt I'll even find out what it is anytime soon. In the end, they failed to resuscitate my garage and it all has to be replaced - and now a month has passed during which my wife was on maternity leave and scheduling the repairs would have been much easier for us. I'll definitely read reviews before resuming this process with a different company - please learn from my experience and do the same!

We hired this company in late November to fix a major leak in our daughters kitchen. The first week or two this company was totally on the spot!  However, beginning around mid December all work grinder to a halt without a good explanation.  After a few weeks they put a Chris Delara in charge and did things MOVE!  Chris is such a gem of an employee, and such a great overall guy.  He is the sole reason our faith was reestablished with Copper State.  Everything turned out great once he was put in charge !

Horrible getting anything done!  I was given the run around for a over a week before anyone was able to come to my home and start fixing the demo that they did.  I had to call and call and keep calling the project manager to get anything moving.  I was promised someone would show up, but then no shows.  Then they did finally show up and said they would return the next day.  No call, no show.  I called (note the project manager didn't do this)  the person who is supervising the person doing the work in the morning to find out why no one was at my house as promised.  He said he would check and get back to me.  5 hours later still no contact.  I called the project manager and asked why I was doing the work of the project manager who then proceeded to get mad at me for saying that.  I then asked for the owner or his manager but was told the Owner would not talk to me.  So no escalation process from the assigned project manager who was a jerk to me on the phone.  Argued with me, knowing full well his company was NOT making the customer happy.  If this is how they treat everyone, I would NEVER use them again.  Absolutely horrible experience!!!

With the recent huge number of monsoons, we had a leak in our roofing which caused a big mess in our living room. Water is able to work itself in mysterious ways, and it was able to force itself into the inside my place through a little hole. Such a small hole created such a big pain, but we need a quick effective solution. Upon looking online, we stumbled across Copper State Home Builders. I work with a lot of local officials, and they said Copper State Home Builders was a great company that has a lot of contractors that use their service, and seem to show up the same day for any call.

After calling their services, they send their tech to look our problem, diagnose it, and gave us the various solutions that could be done for it. We just told them to work their magic, and to give us a proper timeline regarding repairs, and what other things need to be done from our end. Their timeline went exactly as they told us, and they communicated clearly with us on the progress. The insurance covered the whole job, and we couldn't be more pleased with the final results.

I am getting punished for not reading these reviews before giving the Copper State my restoration work. Their mitigation team is good, moving fast, but restoration is horrible. I informed the project manager David Burbey of the rebuild on April 24, and was told 1 week later (on May 1) that the work has been assigned and I need only to wait for 48 hours for getting the job to start. But it has been totally 17 days since April 24(or say 8 days since I signed the work authorization on May 2), nothing happens so far, except for two emails letting me wait for 48 hours. If anyone wants to know what a mess a damage-restoration company might possibly cause, just look at the pictures I uploaded. Everything has been removed for mitigation, but nothing has been rebuilt up to date. I don't know how long I still have to wait to get my life back. I am now trying to make a complain to their GM, and will have to withdraw if no further response. The only star is for the mitigation team. Also, having seen the initial review, the PM gets mad at it, saying that he will close the project. OK, that's his choice, the way the company treat customers.

I had an attic water pipe burst while I was out of town, and my ceiling collapsed and standing water was everywhere. My wooden floors were completely wet, and my whole place was a mess. This was the biggest surprised that I have ever walked into in my life.

I called Copper State Home Builders, and they said it would be an easy fix for their team. They were professional, and very polite. They worked around my schedule, and were fast, effective, and easy to work with. I highly recommend their service if you have water damage.

My husband fell through our wall several days before our landlords came for their yearly inspection.   When we found out we started to panic.  We don't have much money to spend on emergencies so we freaked out.  We had to do it so, I started asking my clients if they knew anyone who did home repairs.   9 out of 10 of my clients said,  don't you know about Copper State?  Now I feel like I live in the stone ages,  lol.

I called them and told them I had a strict dead line. They told me, no problem!  Their guys showed up on time, cheerfully and did their business.   They brought plastic floor runners so their feet never touched my carpets.  They patched the hole perfectly, quietly and left no trace of bring there.  We had touch up paint but not enough.  Their guy took the paint somewhere, had it matched.  Next thing I know they were painting my whole wall (it could use it) because they had extra.  They carefully removed my gallery of art and put it back the same way after it was dry.

I literally did nothing and instead of just patching a hole in the wall,  we got a whole new wall!

The men were well mannered, could hold a nice conversation, very pleasant, honest and they left my place in better condition than it was before. Their price was matched with the lowest price I could find too.  They left us with business cards and offered insentives for referrals.

This is one card I'll always keep in my wallet.
I give them an A++++ for their service.

We told our landlords about it and they made us look good too.

Fantasic company!

The work was done adequately. They were paid in full. Yet I received notice of intent to file a lien on my property. I spoke with a person from Copper State she indicated that is their standard operating procedure. I think this is a bad policy.  Be forewarned.

After 2 days away I came home to my entire home flooded from the toilet supply line busting.  OMG! 9pm Sunday night Copper State sent Richard out. He couldn't of been more professional and hard working! He was knowledgeable and understanding. I was a mess! Definitely a great company to work with. Thank YOU Copper State for getting me thru that mess!!

High Integrity.  I can't say enough about Copperstate, they went above and beyond.  The Copperstate staff treated us with professionalism and were promt. They helped us with our insurance claim from beginning to the end.  This was our first time ever facing such a disaster and 2 days before New Years.  I had a house full of family.  Our upstairs bathroom flooded and leaked down to our downstairs washroom.  They came over that night and began the process. My home looks as if nothing ever went wrong.  Without their help, I would have lost my mind.  Thank you to all that came over and worked on our home.  We appreciate you!

Copper State Home Builders was competent and thorough. John showed up promptly on time and explained the process in drying out our home due to the plumbing problem.  He desired to ensure we understood the process as it was a lot of information to absorb for our situation.  While the drying process took a few days to complete, he was quick to communicate via text message and phone calls. His team of professionals have seen this process from start to finish and coordinated all necessary steps in this process.  He has mastered the steps to water removal and sincerely cares about those he serves. I would recommend Copper State Home Builders without hesitation.

I had a leak in my garage & laundry room from a cracked water receptacle that the water softener drained into.  My plumber recommended I call Copper State because the water had damaged the drywall for about half the width of the garage along the bottom.  They were at my house in about an hour, got everything set up to dry out both the garage wall & the laundry room floor, which also got wet underneath.  They were quick & professional & came back 4 days later as discussed to pick up the large dryers that were left in both areas.  About a week or so later, Marco came out & did the necessary repair work to finish up.  They did a good job & worked with my insurance company as needed.

I can not say enough BAD THINGS about this company. It's been 3 weeks since my parents emergency plumbing nightmare turned even worse thanks to Mr Rooter calling Copper State. Both of these companies work together to take advantage of seniors. They still haven't provided any documents and I had to cold call abatement companies just to find out if  the abatement had been done. Seriously.... RUN AWAY, FAR AWAY FROM THEM.

Absolute worst company I have ever worked with. They did our dry out and it took 7 days as opposed to the 3 days they said it would. Then there were readings in certain areas that showed the water levels high. They removed black mold but are not following through on their promise to ensure there is no more black mold despite them agreeing to it and us telling them everyone in the house has complained about respiratory issues since they've done the job. Their project manager hung up on me twice and despite my asking them to have someone else we can work with they keep sending me the same guy. I've sent a letter to the owner twice about my complaints and no response. They have said they were coming to finish the job close to ten times and not shown or put other jobs before mine. They said the job would be done in three weeks and it's been two months and they have not called me to set a date to finish the job. They have agreed to things and then tell us it's our responsibility to pay for them out of pocket. If I could give them a zero I would. My biggest concern is that I believe they did not appropriately remove the black mold in my home and they are not making good on this.

Used Copper State for recent bathroom flooding. Clint and all staff were friendly, patient with many questions with claims processing.  Clint even called our home insurance for us, and set up everything for the agent. From start to finish..only two weeks!  Cleanup crew awesome, reconstruction performed miracles  (thanks, Brandon!) Can't see where any damage was. Bathroom and flooring better than original.  Highly recommend Copper State for emergencies and any home renovation projects.

I think this company is absolutely unethical. I had a tiny leak behind the bathroom sink. While I was expecting for them to just move the vanity and look behind the sink, to my dismay they tore the whole frigging wall! There was no water damage it was just a small leak. Any ethical company would have assessed the damage at the epicenter of the leak not completely tear a whole wall plus rip vanity counters and tear counter tops. And as it was expected they found no water damage. They just wanted more money and took advantage that I am an older lady. I got a bill for over $1300 for what should have been a fraction of the price and also I now have to go buy new cabinetry. Unbelievable, I think they are true bastards. When I disputed the price and their business practices they threatened to put a lien on my house. I paid and now I am getting another threatening letter saying that I have to pay $4000 for services yet to be performed!! There was no damage found, I already paid for them destroying my bathroom but I guess that was not sufficient for them.

Initially we had a great experience with copper state. However, they tried to bill for things they either didn't do or didn't complete. Beware of their scare tactics and intimidation to get you to pay for things that weren't actually completed. Very unimpressed with their customer service relations.

They were referred to our house to assess water damage through CNJ Services,  who was sent by Old Republic our home warranty company for  a water heater leak. I was told by Kyle from CNJ, not to tell Old Republic he reccomended them, that i found them on the internet.  That sent a red flag warning! They spent about 5 minutes with a moisture meter and gave a verbal estimate of $3500.00 which seemed very high.  Steel suggested we file a claim with our homeowners insurance, and of course they would help with our deductable.  Our State Farm agent also said this seems very high, and since we had a much higher claim only a few years ago, this could have a very costly effect on our policy.  I explained to Steel that we werent ready to retain their services, and asked for  written estiate which he did not provide. We bought our own moisture meter which showed little or no moisture in our walls.  CNJ came back and replaced our water heater and never mentioned anything about any water damage.

Had a burst pipe in my kitchen.  I had 2 inches of water in my kitchen, living room, dining room and family room.  Someone suggested I call Copper State.  They were there within an hour, and stayed til 10 pm.  They took care of the water, set up the fans and called my insurance company and dealt with them for me.  Jeremy the mitigation  technician couldn't have been nicer or more professional.  He even set up a temporary sink for me and was here when the insurance adjuster came as well as putting my furniture in storage while the house was being repaired.  If this ever happens to you don't hesitate to call them.  The mitigation department is superb!

A pipe started leaking in the middle of the night and flooded three units that I manage.  Copper State Home Builders responded right away to my call and came out within thirty minutes to start working.  They were quick and effective, doing everything they could to save the carpets and baseboard where it was possible. They communicated with us on a regular basis, and were able to recover a lot of the carpet since they acted quickly. My boss was very impressed with the total bill, and pictures of the final results.

CopperState Home Builders is the worst Company ever. They came into my house after a pipe broke under the house. The people they hired took some of our property, damaged furniture, broke dishes, statues and tools. There is still work to be done. One wall in the bathroom doesn't match the others. Base boards are missing. New ones don't match old ones. Owner said he would fix. He is now suing us. Liars. They do bad work.  Insurance company pays them for work they didn't do. Left asbestos dust everywhere in my house. I have pictures of everything. Owner threaten me if I didn't remove my review, he would sue me. Check ROC, BBB, and FB. There are many bad reviews from lots of people.

Thank you Copper State Home Builders for helping remove all the water in my condo when the second floor unit leaked into ours, knowledge really helps in these situations, and 4 days drying removing all the water in the walls also and passing a mold exam, really helped me feel relieved my kids don't have to be inside a mold environment. I had the opportunity to work with them they were hands on and getting things done faster. The staff that work in my property were very professional and kept me informed about process. I couldn't do the repairs with them because my insurance couldn't cover most of the expenses. But their work is fast and well done. The only downside is that after dealing with insurance adjuster I told them I wasn't comfortable telling them how much money was provided for the repairs and that I wanted to shop around before I decided to go with them. I was told that I had to pay 30% if i didn't go with them. Yet I received a certified mail for intent to file a lien on my property (standard procedure)  At the end everything was settle from their part. Leann Brown was very professional at responding my questions.  I guess if I had in written the actual estimate for repairs after they were done with the demolition I would it consider it. But when estimate price is based on how much money I got back from insurance it just doesn't work that way with me.

Copper State Home Builders is the Best! We had a toilet overflow which flooded the bathroom and overflowing into the hallway. We had a disgusting pungent smell in our house and the nasty water soaked deep into our carpet. This company is horrible, unprofessional, and inconsistent! I do not recommend them to anyone. The emergency restoration was great stayed until everything was Complete and came the very next day to check on progress. The construction side on the other hand is a joke!! It took 4 months and my house was still not complete. I finally had to fire them and have someone else finish up. They would show up one week then the next week not come, no call or txt saying they weren't coming. No communication what so ever. I think I seen the contractor about 5 times through the whole process. He hired a unprofessional unlicensed man to do my laminate flooring and he completely did it wrong. He cut around the door frames leaving big gaps. They always had an excuse for everything and tried to cut corners. Then we came up an agreement as to what they owed me for unfinished job, they signed the agreement I handed them over the check. Now they are saying they are not reimbursing me what we agreed on because half of my deductible was waved in the beginning. They are liers, cheaters, and scam artist. I would NEVER use there services again and EVERY change I get I will tell everyone I come across what a horrible company they are.

Had water damage in the shower area in the MBR. Jose and his crew did the teardown and assisted me in contacting the insurance company. Let me begin by saying that I have used Yelp for guidance for many years. I've heard the skepticism re. businesses buying only the positive  reviews. The now absence of multiple negative reviews for Copperstate are indicative of this. Based on the plethora of reviews that reported the same shady, unethical acts of Copperstate I experienced, being gone, it's a safe assumption that the positive reviews are not legit.  I'd looked on Yelp for reviews when deciding to hire a contractor to deal with my flood damage. This was a time sensitive issue and I needed to move quickly. My Father called me at work and encouraged me to hurry home to meet Cory. I was under an insane amount of stress from my mom's cancer diagnosis and other personal matters, but Cory put me at ease. Perhaps a little too at ease. Cory was timely in response times, informative and appeared transparent in his delivery. as I even shared my poor past experience with another contractor. I relayed more than I normally would about the difficult personal stressors I was in the midst of. This was an attempt to impress upon him the importance of honesty and to explain my trepidation. I explained the nighmare I'd gone through during a bathroom remodel went horribly awry. In the interest keeping the bulk of this review about Copperstate, please see below to read about prior experience. (I HAD STARTED THIS DRAFT WHEN THERE WERE MULTIPLE NEGATIVE REVIEWS ) I relayed my trepidation but felt confident moving forward after assurance from Corey. My son and I were put in a hotel for 5 days while they did abatement. During this time my father, Neighbor and myself went to the home several times a day. There were no Contractor on site. During the inspection to establish damages a representative for my insurance a friend and myself emphasized the importance of keeping all cabinet fronts. This was due to and exclusion in my policy where they wouldn't replace the top cabinets. Upon returning home, I began looking for my cabinet fronts.  They were gone. Corey insisted he told his crew not to dispose of them and that they had to be there. When all was said and done, Clint Fessler gave 3 different excuses for them being disposed of. All of which were in writing to my brother, an attorney. They were covered with mold (proven false), they were old school one piece (blatantly false) and ultimately told my brother it didn't matter as they were exempt from liability based on the fine print of the contract. I'd made the mistake of informing Clint that after the already shady behavior,  I had no intention of using Copperstate for the rebuild. I had also made this decision based on the suggestion of Corey and my inspector.  Both said I could get the job done properly with licensed contractors for a much lower price. This was to avoid what I believe to be unethical to scope work. ROC claims that this is a newer practice general contractors use. It involves taking the exact insurance amount to complete the exact items on their summary. They indicated it's a pervasive problem referred to as to scope blackmail. It's a commonly used practice of unethical contractors in which they essentially cause further damage leaving a homeowner at their mercy. The contractor is then able to take the entire check. Leaving the homeowner powerless.  I had other priorities and wanted to have control of what work was done. Corey expressed willingness to refer excellent contractors that could do the work property and will still leave me with gravy for other work. The ROC stated they're still trying to establish ways to circumvent this practice and the only way to win is if the contractor offers to fix the error in exchange for 'scope. I was elated as Clint had offered exactly that and it was recorded. Ultimately,  he offered  $500 cash to sign the check. I'd avoid their aggressive phone calls for the most part. When I did speak to Clint, he was obnoxious and aggressive. He'd begin a conversation with yes ma'am and other respectful statements. The second I said something he wasn't happy about, his true colors would show. Profanity, threats and other derogatory and counterproductive dialogue. Not unlike his employee James who remains in my messages insisting he won't leave my property until the check is signed. Ultimately,  I now have 2 mechanical liens on my home that will be removed shortly. I am just starting the process of handling this now as my mom remains very ill. For anyone that wants to negate or justify this review, let me remind you the check I refused to sign is in no way greedy (Clint ' assertion). I don't and won't see a dime of that money. What possible motive would I have? A year later I still don't have flooring or a fully functional kitchen. My son has special needs and the house being torn up, coupled with his Grandma's illness has taken a toll. I will update this review upon completion of the arduous legal process. My biggest disappointment of all is Corey not

I had water damage to my kitchen due to a plumbing leak.  They came out the same day I called, and started with water removal.  The removal of damaged cabinets, floor and drywall was done quickly. The contractor, Rob Hardee did a great job and has an eye for details.  He kept me informed throughout the rebuild process and seemed to really care about my happiness with the finished kitchen.  The workers did a great job by not making the rest of my house look like a construction zone while they were rebuilding my kitchen.  The quality of the work they did is top notch, and exceeded my expectations.

A terrible experience. They were referred by my plumber to do flood remediation in a rental property. Claimed the counters were ruined and the title was coming up and would all need to be replaced, so they stopped to do asbestos testing before doing tile demolition. Tore out the sink and counters and did not put in a temporary sink. Then went silent for ten days and would not return phone calls. Ultimately I went out the property, the tile didn't need to be replaced, so there was no need for asbestos testing or abatement. The company never did return multiple phone calls to the main office and to the sales guy I was referred to. Ultimately, I hired another contractor to do the work. They showed up at the property a week or so later and told my tenant they were ready to do the rebuild work. My tenant called me and finally they answered my call more than two weeks after the kitchen demolition (perhaps for no reason) and seemed shocked that I would have hired another contractor. STAY AWAY.

I had the best experience with this company!  Stephen L.  saved us this past weekend when the company that was assigned to do our work did not follow thru.  He went above and beyond to find a very difficult water leak and cut a perfect sized hole in the wall so that it could be fixed.  I have not met any other home company that treated us as well ever!  Copper State Home Builders goes above and beyond to fix a problem.  They show up exactly when they say that they will and are truly trustworthy, but more than that, they truly care about their customers.  That is a hard thing to find today!
