Consider It Finished Painting

We recently had our house painted by Matt and team and we were delighted by our experience with them. They had to do it on one of the hottest weeks of summer but that didn't stop them from doing an excellent job.

I am the world's pickiest customer and very critical of even the tiniest details, yet these guys addressed all my nitpicking requests with a smile. The result is absolutely stunning!

One thing I really appreciated was how quietly they went about their job. I barely knew they were on the property. I was kept apprised of exactly what to expect and when to expect it and they delivered. Matt was very patient with me and my indecision on colors and helped me sort out my concerns with patience and understanding.

Our house is absolutely gorgeous now! It doesn't even look like the same place! Every time I drive into the driveway, I want to thank them all over again.

Matt has been in the paint industry for over 30 years and his knowledge of the trade and of coatings is very valuable to homeowners and businesses. Matt, the owner,  scheduled a visit within three days of me calling for estimate.  He got back to us with the estimate within a week.  They came out on time when scheduled, they were efficient and neat.  They cleaned up everyday before leaving.  They painted the entire inside of our house.  Happy with the finished product.  Will call again when it is time to paint the outside of our house.

EDIT: This review was written three years ago, don't know why it popped up so late. Anyway, due to this being three years ago, the company did not have the opportunity to fix their mistake, and it's probably too late now.

Not the best.  Matt is friendly enough, but when it comes right down to it, the whole operation is flaky as hell.  They say we'll call you tomorrow afternoon and then nothing.

Matt absolutely insists on using Sherwin Williams paint because he used to work there and he will charge more if you just want to choose your own paint manufacturer.  Red flag to me really, seemed like a situation with kickbacks, but whatever.

Getting these people to commit to a firm start date and time is nearly impossible.

They will move furniture, which is fantastic, but they won't actually reattach all the cabling they disconnected, so a person who isn't familiar with cable or wifi or receivers, speakers, etc... (like, say, a woman nearing 70 and so forth) has absolutely zero idea what to do.

Furniture which was supposed to be covered or taped off is left with paint marks.

And if you happened to be one of those naively trusting sorts who pays in full before doing a final inspection of all the minute details, good luck getting things fixed!

So if you go with this outfit, make sure you DO NOT pay in full until AFTER all things are complete and inspected and up to your personal standards.  Turns out, my standards are far higher than theirs.

Have you seen that Travelocity commercial with the grandma getting a mirror hanged by a stranger who asked for her SSN to order pizza?  Yeah, that is what this felt like.

So keep an eye on 'em.

Matt and his crew are very prompt, showed up right on time on both days and Got right to work. The new paint looks absolutely gorgeous and it makes everything looks much more updated. They used quality Sherwin Williams paint products.and there are no hidden or add-on costs from the price quoted. Matt actually was able to squeeze us in due to a cancellation and that worked our great for us. We would not hesitate to use them again in the future. it's hard to find a business that would stand by their work, and we are happy that we found Consider it Finished Painting.

Asked Matt back to paint my son's room when he moved out. He did such a great job again, that I had him come out a third time to do my master bedroom. I trust him so much that I actually leave him my door code and let him paint while I'm at work (it's a real pain to take time off). I was again beyond satisfied with the end result, and his pricing can't be beat. I have recommended him to several friends and family members.

I'm updating my review because while he did a professional job on my kitchen ceiling, he never returned to paint my new doors.  Even after repeated emails and communications, there was no reason given and the job was left undone.  I don't post this lightly after so much time has passed, but thought I needed to be truthful with their review already existing.

My wife and I met with Matt and thought we had made a good decision to use Consider It Finished Painting, boy did we make a mistake! Our beautiful dark cabinets in the kitchen, bathrooms and laundry room were left with paint on them because they were not taped off. Our floors had splatter spots everywhere and the color tie ins were absolutely horrible. Perhaps they have done better work elsewhere but our home was left a mess and lots of damage that must now be corrected. I hope you have much better luck than we had if you use this company.

I recently utilized the painting services from this company.  Matt came to my home and was very professional, listened to my questions and concerns, and was open about the pricing and expectations of the service.  Also, I did not feel pressured at all which is always nice.  I would not hesitate to hire this company again and will likely do so in the future.  Thank you!

Matt & Skip masterfully transformed our new home from an unpleasant and overwhelmingly orange color based scheme to uniquely accented walls with straight line precision! Matt also reflected his expertise in assisting us in finalizing our color choices that were compatible and comparable to our personal desires and furniture possessions. After you came to our home and tried to repair the damage to our fiberglass door, we decided that your expertise and experience in the painting business was limited. You were given two times to repair your mistake. You did not prep the door and it blistered. We had four different experts from Lowe's, ABS Doors and Valspar Paint inform us that since the door was fiberglass treating it with chemicals would destroy the finish.  Your measly $125.00 refund did not even begin to cover the cost of a new door. The new door cost us around $1,600.00.  This did not include having to hire a new painter to paint the frame and several hundred to install the door.  The door was only three years old. Nothing was wrong with the door we just wanted to change the color. I think if you were honest and had integrity you would have stepped up and helped us pay for your mistake.  Instead you dumped the burden and expense on us without any apology.  After all your ad said you are licenced, bonded and insured. Satisfaction Guaranteed.

Consider it finished painting was recommended by my mother who refers to them for any of the houses she inspects( she's a home inspector). My husband and I just recently purchased our first home together and gave them a call. They were able to start our interior painting the next day after our consultation because of a sudden canceled appointment. Both days the crew showed up, we were in and out(mostly out) of the house moving things from our old house. They were very trustworthy and we had no second thoughts about leaving it unattended while they worked. Although they did a great job, there were a few spots that needed some extra attention(the prior bright blue bathroom). I called Matt, the owner, who was willing to work with my schedule in order to get it finished as soon as possible. This is a great trustworthy company who are willing to go the extra mile to meet satisfaction!!

Matt was very easy to get in touch with from start to finish. He was on time for the appointments he made with us. He explained everything thoroughly. Matt uses very high quality paint to insure the best possible outcome. The team that did our work was on time, well prepared, worked very hard and did an excellent job.
