Leaving my prior review and adding another. Once again, Chandler Air comes through, with excellent pricing and service.
My A/C went out Saturday night, 5/16. They couldn't come out then, but were out by noon on Sunday. JC was professional, courteous and knowledgeable.
Because I have a yearly maintenance contract with them (worth every penny), not only am I a priority customer, but I get a discount. JC was able to find a motor this morning, Monday, 5/18, and will be here to install it by noon today, at about 2/3 the cost of what others wanted.
Have been using Chandler Air for 16 years now, and have absolutely no reason to stop!
James was professional, courteous, and explained everything thoroughly. I have used Chandler Air for about 10 years now. I never plan on using any other company. Whenever I have received quotes from other companies, they're sometimes as much as twice what Chandler Air charges.
My air conditioning unit is incredibly old, but I've never had to replace it because Chandler Air Service is it every year and does an excellent job. Highly recommend this company.

$1800 to look for a leak, fix the line and recharge AC!! Totally got ripped off, but we were out of town and needed it fixed asap so our tenant could move in! Absolutely ridiculous. And when I asked why it was so expensive the technician Hector said, well in AZ air conditioning repairs are expensive, if you live in Colorado heaters are more.
We live in Pittsburgh and that repair would've been about $300 here. I do not recommend them.

Typical AZ story: A/C not working on the 115+ degree day! Chandler Air crew was able to schedule same day - whew! - but that as typical for this team, they usually can respond same day within a matter of hours. Hector responded and did a quick assess, noted what the possible issues could be and gave the good news - it was a less costly issue and he could fix it same day! Hector/Chandler Air provides high quality service, professionalism and quick responsiveness. Thank you to this crew! They've been my speed dial for all A/C issues and routine services, always high quality service.

Just has my air conditioner checked for the coming season. So glad I chose Chandler Air. James Brewer called to see if he could arrive early. Of course. He is very professional and explained everything he was going to do. After checking my 16 year old air conditioner he assured me it is is very good condition, never trying to sell me on services I didn't need. It did need the coils cleaned and gave me options on what he could do. I chose the best option, which was still less much than what I thought it would be. I'll be seeing them in 6 months for a check up.
I finally feel as if I've found a company I can count on season after season.

I got their service coupon in mail and scheduled a A/C check up. It's my first time order for regular check-up. 4 years ago we had Chandler air fixed our broken pipes on the roof that causes our AC not being able to cool down in June. Other companies came but didn't fix it.
Matt came and informed me before he started his job that he'll only check for heating function at winter time. I asked why and he explained that only when the temp is hot enough (85 degree more) that they can measure the functioning unit. I told him that I only wanted to check the cooling not the heating. So he left without charging me any fee. Honest guy! I will find them next spring to do the check-up.
Thank you, Ryan, for saving the day! You are my family's new hero! My A/C unit completely broke. My house was 99 degrees inside. Even though they were overbooked, Ryan came out within 2 hours to do an estimate. He was so polite, professional, and was obviously more knowledgeable about his industry than anyone that came out to provide estimates. He found us a brand new unit, found the elbow needed, scheduled the crane, and had everything completely installed by 1pm by the next day. His company was already overbooked but, Ryan saw the emergency and he and his Operations Manager that normally do not go out to do installs, came to do it themselves to help us out. And, his company was cheaper than the other estimates we got. I would recommend Chandler Air over and over again. Thanks again, Ryan. We are so grateful to you and your team for getting us back in operating order so quickly.

Very disappointed with Chandler Air. They installed a heat pump on my home. A couple weeks later, an electrician tells me the power supply to the unit is not up to code. I call Chandler Air to ask them about it and a technician comes to look at it. He says it's not up to code but Chandler Air won't do electrical work. I voice my frustration that I was not notified/warned that the issue would need to be remedied when the unit was installed. Technician says it's not to code, but it's good enough for us. Then they want to charge me $85 to tell me that it's not good enough for code but it's good enough for them. And they never warned me. So my house hasn't burned down, yet. I am paying an electrician to fix it. And Chandler Air won't honor their warranty for the heat pump install unless I pay the it's good enough for Chandler Air $85 fee.
If it was the owner's home and his/her children were sleeping at the home, do you think the technician would warn them?
Marc from chandler air has been surviving our home for years. We had an issue and had several people come out and give us outrageous quotes. Two companies said the same thing only one fallowed through on the appointment etc. that was Chandler air, it works perfect 8 years later. We still have our regular survive with them and they are consistently honest,knowledgeable, friendly and reliable.

Terrible service and rude. My mother in law had a unit installed 3.5 years ago. First they forgot to install the heat strips and had to come back out. Then they had forgotten to connect the condensate line and had to fix it and the associated water damage. Now the motor died - out of the two year labor warranty but within the 10 year parts warranty. They wanted $480 to fix it right away or $380 to fix it 'sometime' next week. They carry a different brand part on the truck which isn't covered by the parts warranty, so you have to pay for the parts to get it fixed right away. If you wait for the warranty part, they charge labor for each time they come it. When I asked, I was told - 'the truck doesn't run for free'. I will never use them again and encourage others to stay away.
Louie B. is my HERO. 119 outside and Louie is on my roof replacing my capacitor. Dedicated and prepared. I called 5 places and CHANDLER AIR was the first to call me back and didn't hesitate to make sure I was scheduled that day. The hottest day of the year, the busiest day for HVAC companies, no problem. Goettl told me they couldn't get there for 4 days. I said you'll have to let yourself in because we'll be dead by then. Call Chandler Air, they are the best.

We hired Chandler Air for routine service of our fully functioning air conditioner. Prior to Chandler Air coming our air conditioning and electricity had worked perfectly. We'd been in the office 3.5 years and had no problems with either during our entire time here. During the service the technician blew a fuse that caused the air conditioning and lights around it to turn off. The technician couldn't fix the fuse and we had to hire an electrician. Chandler Air said it wasn't there fault even though they were the only ones on the roof at the time. Will not use them again and suggest you don't either.
After 1000.00 bucks spent to this company my air conditioner did not work. I spent a month struggling with them and all I got was. There is nothing wrong. Each visit would have been 85.00. Asking them to come over again only put money into their pockets. My air conditioner still didn't work. My son referred me to someone else. He charged me 80.00. My air conditioner has been working since. I feel ripped off.

While out of town on business one of my air conditioning units went out. My daughter called Chandler Air out and told them we had 2 units not working. My daughter was not aware that we have a zone system so 1 unit carries 2 thermostats. They found a blown compressor and they told my daughter that the unit was out of warranty and the complete unit would need to be replaced. They inspected my two other units and informed my daughter that one of the other units was locked up and would also need replacing, again out of warranty. Now this unit had been working up until they inspected it. Coincidental that 2 units would go out at once, but she had told them that 2 units were not working, so they found 2. They were very nice and made her a deal to have it all done by Saturday before I got home and that they cut her a deal for $4700.
Upon my return I inspected the units. The one that miraculously broke down when they were there only needed the actuator replaced , $200. And the unit with the blown compressor still had 5 years. TRANE replaced the compressor free of charge. And with labor and parts from a more reputable company I only spent another $1500. So my total out of pocket was $1700.00 and I have cold air again.
They didn't use a gun but they attempted to overcharge me $3000.00. Very frustrating and I wonder how many unsuspecting trusting people have been duped by them.
The news service 3 On Your Side came out with a glowing report on how fair and honest they were. When I call them and give my report they might want to revisit their view. I also plan on alerting the State department with whom they have a license through.

I am a landlord that sent this company out to service my rental. My renters advised me that the guy who went out was not nice to them and had the attitude of why the heck am I here. I chose this company because its a family owned business. They did service the AC as promised, but I will not use them again.
I did call them today to get the receipt and also noted to them that whoever came out to service the AC was not nice to my renters- I was advised that it was the owner- shocked that it was the owner himself that was not nice- as said before, I will not use them again.
I needed a part to be put in that helped the compressor run better and I called last week. It was not an emergency, but they put me in quickly and Bob came today and put the part in and was very professional, on time and had that part in very quickly. Very reasonable in their prices and even though it was the 1st time I used them, it won't be the last!! Very highly recommend. Also, when I called, the staff was very nice. Thanks again. Mike...

My husband and I have been a customer of Chandler Air for more than 10 years receiving there spring and fall check-ups for our furnace and AC. We have always had positive experiences with the folks at Chandler Air- from the business staff to the technicians who service our unit. In 2010 we replaced the original unit (from 1960) as we were beginning to pour money into repairs. The new Rudd unit has had some major flaws. A new compressor was replaced in 2011, new coil in 2014, and again, a new coil replaced in 2015. As all has been under warranty, there has been no charge. However, I commend the owner of Chandler Air for still making us a priority in getting the work done timely and with the professional technicians employed. We will continue to use Chandler Air for our heating and cooling needs! Sorry to read others have had such negative experiences!!!

I'm a long time Yelp consumer, but I've never felt compelled to contribute. After meticulously reviewing air conditioning companies, I settled on Chandler Air for my problems, as this was the one with the least objectionable reviews. Because the process behind locating a trustworthy and capable A/C company is so difficult, I thought I'd provide my experience with Chandler Air so people can know this IS a company worth using.
I've given Chandler Air 5 stars for three reasons: (1) Honest/Integrity; (2) Technical capability; and (3) Price.
Honest/Integrity - My technician was Dave. When he arrived at my house, I quickly suggested that my old Goodman units may need replacing. Even with offering this bait, Dave never tried to upsell me on new units - rather noticing that mine were in fine working order aside from a single problem.
Technical capability - Another technician from another company had been to my house previously and was unable to resolve my problem. Although Dave noticed the malfunction with my system was something he hadn't encountered in some time, he was able to accurately diagnose it. He even returned home to check with some of his resources to ensure he was right - and he was. By the way, his fix for our system worked wonders.
Price - Many companies have been charging upwards of $100-$115/pound for R-22 Freon. This is understandable because it's becoming more scarce by the second. Chandler Air charged me $68/pound, which I feel is extraordinarily reasonable. In fact, I've yet to find anyone in the Valley who sells it cheaper. Dave also spent approximately three hours at my house, although I was only charged for two hours of labor because that's what I'd been quoted. He was thorough in his inspection of my system, which is likely what warranted the extra time (and is much appreciated by me).
Ultimately, Chandler Air is the real deal. I have no connection to the company and have used it to resolve only the one problem - so I have no vested interest in posting this positive review. This is the first time I've ever had an A/C company come to one of my houses without either not being able to resolve the problem or trying to sell me a new unit, so I thought this review was warranted.

Around dinner time Thursday our A/C was blowing warm. Finished eating and went up on the roof to check for the obvious. Wrote down the model and manufacturer and visited the American Standard website. They had three repair companies that were recommended in my area. Called the first place, Hendel A/C and they had an answer machine. I left a message requesting a service call. Since I wasn't too confident they'd be able to come visit I moved onto option two. A live person answered and said he could come by in the morning. Mark actually arrived before Hendels even called back. Hendels called me back before 8:00 am and was willing to take the call, but I just wanted to point out that Chandler Air was here working before they called back. They are probably a good company. Mark from Chandler Air was prompt, professional, nice and since he fixed it, VERY VERY helpful. He explained the issue and offered to do the repair. In these situations we do not have time to shop around, so hopefully the repair price was reasonable. Since I have no idea about what costs are suppose to be, please if you are looking for cheap don't take my word, cause I don't know. If you want a reliable A/C company, choose these guys for great customer service and super fast work. If I ever have an issue again I'll call them first.
Called these guys out to check and service my a/c. Skeptical as always I figured I would need a few quotes to make sure that whatever they say is wrong that is would be the problem.
However...
The guy came out, he arrived at the earliest time of the window and was very professional.
After all said and done he said my a/c was fine, a some years left in it since it is original equipment for an old house. I asked him about future plans for additions to the home and issues with added rooms for cooling and he was very informative...did not try to upsell me on anything. Did his job and left.
Overall experience: Excellent and I would recommend and use again.
Matt explained everything; Minor repair, changed the filters and cleaned coils at no charge. Reasonably priced, honest and fast worker. highly recommend!

Chandler Air installed a new AC unit in our house in Scottsdale. They are 100% professional and did a great job. I would recommend them over any other AC company on the valley. Honesty and professionalism is very important and this company has both.

Very rude lady on the phone. I cannot review how well they repair due to the bad customer service, I was never able to schedule an appointment. I called to get a quote and she refused unless I had a diagnostic even though I already had one and just needed to know if they have the part and how much it would be to install. When I was trying to explain to her my situation, she said thank you and hung up on me before I could ask any questions. It was so mean and frustrating, I figured she could be a little sympathetic to my situation seeing as how my house is 107 degrees and my air has been off for a week, but I guess not. She did not even ask if I wanted to schedule an appointment.

Chandler Air is the company I use for the HVAC maintenance at my rental homes. From my experience they are honest and fair. I have even recommended them to my mother when her A/C compressor was failing.
Back in 2003 I had another company I found on the internet perform seasonal maintenance on my first rental unit. Their employee told me that the system had no freon left and that I needed to purchase an entire new system for $6000. I was shocked. On a friends recommendation I called Chandler air and had them do seasonal maintenance without mentioning what the first had person told me. They performed the maintenance and told me that the unit had no problems. After this I told them what the other company had quoted me and and the service tech explained that Chandler air pays them a salary, not commission, so they do not have any motivation to be dishonest and sell things or services I don't need.
Recently, I had some renters that were ridiculously rude and spoiled college freshmen. The service tech at Chandler Air never complained, and even returned several times for free when they complained about what they thought was inadequate work. My tenants were very rude to the service tech and told him he had done crappy work. The real problem was that when the temperatures hit 120 last year the small compressor could not pump out the 70 degree air they wanted. Nonetheless he returned 3 more times to address it for them without charging me any more than his first visit.
This is what I call a business with integrity that stands by their work.

I was recommended to Chandler Air by a friend who had had good luck with them. She probably doesn't realize she was ripped off. Dave came out on a Friday and did an inspection. He found a problem with the ducts that would cost me up to $450 to repair. He said he wouldn't be able to do the work (not his job) and that it would probably be done by the installers. I called the company after he left to set up an appointment. I was told they wouldn't be able to do that until Dave's paperwork was back in the office. It was a holiday weekend so they wouldn't see it until Tuesday. So I waited to hear from them and when it got to Thursday and I still hadn't heard from them, I called again. I was told again that they would call me. The girl on the phone doesn't sound like she knows anything about a/c. I have a problem with companies that don't really want my business so I called another company and made an appointment with them to do the work. I finally got a call on the following Tuesday afternoon from Chandler Air and was told the installers would be out the following morning. I don't know about the rest of the world but I work for a living and less than 24 hours notice is not an appointment, and certainly not one that I can keep if I want to keep my job. This was a voice mail I had received (I was working when they called and do not answer personal calls on work time) and sure enough, by the time I left work, there was another voice mail from someone else at the company and she sounded peeved that I hadn't called back yet. Well, I wanted to see how this would play out so I didn't call back, and sure enough on Wednesday morning, I had another voice mail from the second caller and she sounded totally ticked that not only had I not called back but now I've missed the appointment! The best part is the second a/c company is actually honest and didn't find any problem with my a/c that would cost $450 to repair. In fact, he said if I really wanted to do something about it, I could do it myself, proceeded to tell me how, and saved me from being ripped off by Chandler Air. Whatever you do, DO NOT CALL CHANDLER AIR FOR ANYTHING.
