We bought a home in N. Scottsdale that had 72 incandescent 65 watt bulbs throughout the house and the lighting was poor.  Troy and crew came thru and replaced all 72, added ~ 10 more, moved some existing ceiling lights, patched, cleaned up every day and did an excellent job!!!

Highly, highly recommend Troy and AZ lighting!  We love the LED lights and they only use 8 watts vs prior 65 watand poor lighting!  Saving us money and lighting the way!  Thank you Troy!

I had 7 recessed lights put into my house earlier this year.  I'm not gonna lie, the initial quote meeting was not impressive and I was a little nervous despite the 5 star review.  I almost didn't use their services, but I am so happy that I did.  They installed 3 recessed lights in a hallway that had 2 sconces.  They also placed 4 lights in the kitchen which previously had a fluorescent workshop type light and they replaced 2 old halogen cans with LED cans.  I believe we had Ryan do our job and the placement of the lights could not have been more perfect (centered, evenly spaced, exactly as we had agreed upon).  The price was competitive and they showed me how to buy and replace the cans on my own when and if they ever go out.  Thanks Yelpers for a great find!

We had a somewhat complicated recessed lighting issue.  The problem was diagnosed a "Let there be light"!  The technician was friendly and helpful in analyzing the problem and discussing solutions.  We are now fully functional!

Purchased a home built in the mid-nineties that need some attention. Troy came out to take a look and came up with some cool lighting ideas for our recessed niche areas around our family room TV area and under cabinet lighting for our kitchen, as well as some kick lighting below the kitchen cabinets. Both of those projects took some planning and serious product knowledge as there were old halogen puck lighting buried in the drywall that needed to be removed before the new lighting could be installed. Troy, George and Sebastian also removed 86 old incandescent can lights and installed brand new sealed low wattage LEDs throughout our home and outside patio areas. They also updated 109 outlets, switches and associated dimmers. Almost every single breaker in our fuse box was either unlabeled or faded out by years of weather, the guys didn't complain and went thru as needed room by room and remarked the fuse box. The end product is awesome. Communication is good, every day you'll know when and what will be happening. Troy's prices are fair, the work is top notch and his guys as well as Troy himself are easy to work with and talk to. Don't hesitate to call AZ Recessed Lighting.

Troy did work at our home early summer. Not only did they do the job well, the project ran through a very long day, so the circuits weren't tested as well. Troy did make a point to come back and fix one issue once I reported it to him later. I really appreciate that good customer service.

I would give this company no stars at all if possible. We have had nothing but trouble since their technician came to move a cable outlet for us. He was late to the appointment and then acted like he really didn't want to do the work for us. He came up with all these reasons as to why the job was going to be difficult and expensive.

We told him that it was fine we needed the work done either way. He did the work but the cable outlet doesn't work!

His attitude sucked and his work sucked worse!!!

Troy is a great guy who stands behind his and his teams work. I had him install 4 recessed LED lights in my living room and two smaller recessed LED accent lights near my entertainment center and they look great! Troy and his crew, who included his teenage son who's learning the family business, were professions and courteous. The job was finished quicker than I expected and they did a good job of protecting my furniture and cleaning up afterwards. I'd recommend AZ Recessed Lighting to all my friends and family.

Jared and Troy are the best! They are friendly, fast, and so professional! I had 2 home electrical projects that I had been meaning to get done forever. One was an exterior patio fan and the other was installing 2 pendant lights in our bedroom. I know absolutely nothing about electrical and they were so willing and open to talking me through the project to ensure that the end result was exactly what I was looking for. I couldn't be happier with our new lights and fan! I highly recommend them!!

I had Troy come out to install recessed lighting in a couple rooms in our house as well as to do some other electrical work including cleaning up some sloppy electrical work likely from a previous homeowner that wasn't up to code in our garage and back patio. Troy's communication and attention to detail was top notch and sets him apart from most other electricians. It's very clear that he has an eye for attention to detail and cares about the job being done right.

When he came out to do an estimate he was very helpful in talking through how the project would be done and what factors were at play in affecting the final cost of the job. Troy sent over a detailed written proposal to make everything clear. Pricing was very reasonable given the amount of work to be done. Given that they focus on recessed lighting, I think they are a bit more polished when it comes to the communication and planning that comes with bigger projects rather than one-off electrical work.

Troy and Eric were at my house for two full days and in that time they installed 15 recessed lights in 3 rooms all with vaulted ceilings, removed/capped multiple old fixtures in those rooms, cleaned up a patio outlet and fixture, added a 50-amp garage receptacle including re-working our panel to accommodate that, ran some conduit and added 2 outlets in the garage, and ran power through the attic to a flood light. There were a few extra charges that came in over the proposal, but that was expected and reasonable given new information that was uncovered as the project went along (needing to take over wire from a ceiling fan rather than being able to use a fixture, extra fixture removal/capping, etc.). We ended up saving a decent amount as well from there being more attic space available above our ceiling than we thought.

Troy and Eric left the inside of the house in as good of condition as they found it. My only complaint was that there were a handful of screws/nails/staples from the garage work that weren't cleaned up, but not a big deal.

Overall I would highly recommend AZ Recessed Lighting for any electrical work but especially the lighting of course. We are very happy with the improvement it's made to our house.

We've hired Troy for several lighting jobs in the past and we've always been very pleased with his work. Because he'd already earned our total trust, we recently asked him to install a Transfer Switch in our home to accommodate a portable generator (in case of power outage). This is a complex job that must be done right, no room for error. Despite this not being Troy's primary focus (which is lighting), he and Ryan took the job and accomplished it with all of the superior professionalism we've come to expect of him. From start to finish, AZ Recessed Lighting does not disappoint. Troy is a very conscientious and attentive craftsman, and I do not hesitate in recommending him for anyone's lighting or electrical needs.

We had AZ Recessed Lighting install lights all over our house when we first moved in last November. They did a great job and we were very happy with everything. Fast forward to now and we've been having issues with one of the lights in our bathroom. It wouldn't turn on right away and was not as bright as the others. I texted the owner and even though it was out of the warranty period (1 year) he came out and replaced it for free. Highly recommend this company!

I can't rave enough about AZ Recessed Lighting! They wrapped up a residential lighting project at my home today and did a phenomenal job- I did not know I could be so excited about lighting! In addition, I have 22' ceilings and feel very fortunate to have spotted their truck at a neighbors with high ceilings, as I had previously struggled to get anyone to work on my high ceilings.
Troy and Ryan installed 6 recessed lights and changed out 2 fixtures, in addition to installing a dimmer and fixing some improper wiring we had. Throughout the entire process they were incredibly helpful and accommodating. I am pretty Type A and a very detail oriented person, and so appreciated all their timely communication both over phone and email, getting a proposal in advance that addressed all my questions and concerns, their promptness in showing up for the job at the specified date/time and also their efficiency on the job! In addition, they clearly are experts, know what they are doing, and do it well. Troy and Ryan were friendly, explained things without "mansplaining", kept me updated throughout the project in terms of progress/ any needed changes/considerations, etc. I never felt forced to do things a certain way, they gave us options and truly did a GREAT JOB. They also cleaned up very well, too!
For all they had to do (I didn't realize quite how much work goes into recessed lighting), I feel the price was totally reasonable and I will definitely use them again for all my other lighting needs, in addition to recommending them to others. Thank you Troy and Ryan!

Troy was fantastic on his install at my new house.  He gave me an estimate based on some pictures I sent him and what I told him over the phone.  I had over 14 recessed lights installed, moving of several outlets, and rewiring of switches and electrical lines that were hanging from my ceiling.  

He gave me a very fair quote and explained he stands by all his pricing.  He came promptly in the morning and gave me updates throughout the whole day.  At the end of the day, he walked me through everything one more time and actually left the house cleaner than it was before he got there.

I would not hesitate to get Troy's help again, and I plan to in the near future for some more work done.  You should definitely give him a call.  You won't be dissapointed.

My husband decided that it was time to upgrade our kitchen and embarked on this journey to change our non working/dated/awful light fixture and get recessed lighting. We contacted Troy and he was wonderful from the beginning. He was clear and upfront about the costs and the time that it would take to instal our lights. He arrived on time and wasted no time getting to work. Although he had estimated about 5-6 hours to finish the job, he was done in 4.  He installed 4 recessed lights and two island pendant lights. Our kitchen looks absolutely wonderful. We recommend Troy 100% for any lighting updates, his work speaks for itself. Troy is also accompanied by a young apprentice which was just the cherry on top. It is wonderful to see professionals sharing their knowledge with the younger generation and teaching them about hard and honest work.

My wife and I Wanted some work done on out patio as we had poor lighting at night and we wanted some fans to provide some relief from our brutal heat.  
Started off by doing standard due diligence and getting multiple quotes from lighting/electrical companies. AZrecessed lighting was bar far and away the lowest cost company and it wasn't even close.  So reasonably priced that my wife added on interior lighting for several bedrooms and a closet light that was sorely needed. Oh and I added a couple of outlets installed outside as well.
All of this ended up coming in near the cost of 2 competitors that only provided quotes for our patio!
Additionally, every competitor told us they couldn't do recessed lighting on our patio due to depth limitations....well, Troy and his partner had no issues installing flush cans that look great (see pics)!
Troy and his team were very accommodating, professional, thorough and very meticulous with the job. And they were very patient with me and my wife, who can be tough customers to deal with because we are so damn OCD.

These guys did a awesome job in my kitchen...taking down the fan... running a new electric line ..installing 2 dimmer switches, 4 led lamps and 2 pendent lights over the breakfast bar. They patched  and made ready for the old spot in the celing where the fan was as well as the cut out in the wall to run a new electric line, and did a great job cleaning up after the work was finished.  I highly recommend them for your lighting needs.

It was easy doing business with Troy. He set proper expectations and delivered. My wife and I were impressed by his care for our home as installing lighting can leave a mess. Troy and his team placed plastic sheets over our furniture to protect from dust and debris and also wore boot covers throughout our home. Troy also went above and beyond by calling a ceiling fan manufacturer for us to try to troubleshoot an issue we were having with one of our bedroom fans. Troy knows how to do it!  He was very meticulous when it came to measuring to make sure the hole placement was spot on.  He covered everything to protect it.  The price was as he quoted with no hidden fees or extra charges when he was done.  On top of finally being able to see our beautiful kitchen, adding $2000 equity in my home is a huge plus.

Okay...  So my wife wanted to improve the look of our kitchen and said that our old light fixtures were outdated...  My wife suggested that the NFL Sunday Ticket was not a necessity this year and that the improvement of our kitchen was a wiser choice.   In a last ditch effort to retain my frosty beverage and football approval for the remainder of the footbal season I had to take action so I hopped on the internet and took the plunge.  I found AZ Recessed Lighting and to my surprise they had a package deal on their website that looked like it would work for us.  

The company came out, did the job quickly and cleaned up well, and the price was as it was quoted at the end of the job.  The lights work as they should, my wife is happy, and I can watch football in peace....  Happy ending and a good experience.

We definitely had to sweep, vacuum, and mop after the work was done, but that was to be expected. I think this could be helped by wearing some disposable shoe covers when entering people's homes.

This is the company you need to go with for recessed lighting.  Troy and his team know their stuff and they are as honest and dependable as you could ever hope for.  I had some specialty recessed art lights I wanted and they got them and installed them perfectly.  They look fantastic.

Troy and team also put in some LED panels in our laundry and two closets.  These give off the most pleasing and beautiful light.

They can also add switches, closet lights, home automation, you name it.

Do not pass go...  just call AZ recessed lighting

I hired Troy to install kitchen cabinet lighting.  We agreed to a fixed price, written and signed quote.  The project was to be done in two stages, rough in of the wiring and then install the led lights.  Troy did a great job on the rough in and I paid him a partial fee.  The day of the rough in he wrote on the quote the amount I paid and confirmed again in writing the total fixed fee amount.  When he arrived today to finish the job, he said there would be an extra cost for a corner cabinet.  We previously discussed the corner cabinet and agreed led lights would be installed there as well.  Troy never indicated there would be an additional cost and he clearly had the opportunity to indicate that in his last visit and to adjust the quote which he never did.  This was disingenuous and a breach of our written agreement.  When I told Troy I was not going to pay the additional cost, he packed up, said he had plenty of other business and left.  If this is how Troy behaves in a confrontation, without calmly discussing how to resolve, then I can only imagine the challenge customers will have if they are not happy with his work.

These guys are amazing. Installed lights in our house a few years ago. They did great work. Recently one of the bulbs started to flicker and they replaced it at no charge. I can't recommend Troy and his people highly enough.

The great customer service and communication started before they even arrived on the job site. Troy and his team were focused, detail oriented and clean. They made sure we were pleased with the results and followed up the following day. They were even agile enough to allow for changes in the work as the job progressed and my asks evolved. I couldn't be happier with the outcomes. Worth every cent!

I called Troy and he was able to give me a quote over the phone which was very reasonable.  His work was fast and cleaned up after.   I absolutely love my lights!!  My only regret now is I should have installed a dimmer on my master bath light but that's my fault!!

I am 100% satisfied. Troy was in the area so he came out right away and looked at our kitchen. He showed us lighting options and we chose the 4" recessed with 3000k LED brightness. He was completely honest and actually told us we didn't need as many lights as we thought we did. He emailed a proposal that was half what our neighbors paid for theirs to be done . He said he could do it later that week between another big job. We agreed.

He was prompt and covered everything with plastic sheeting. He cut the holes, fished the wires, installed the lights and switches then repaired the drywall all about 6 hours. When he was done he vacuumed up any mess.
Our kitchen is now bright with no shadows. My wife is very pleased. We will have him install a ceiling fan in the dining room next.

I have already recommended him to some neighbors with the same floor plan as us. I highly recommend him. Great work, extremely reasonable prices. What more can I say. Very pleased!

Troy did my recessed lighting back in January, and he did an AMAZING job. Our home was a struggle, since our ceilings were about 16-17ft high, and he got the job done, fast, easy, and it was beautiful. Great experience.

Let there be light! We live in a ground floor condo with the only direct natural light in the bedrooms...cool in the summer, but a bit like a cave most of the time. When we decided to add the recessed lights, I liked the flat rate that this company charges--no surprises, right? Well, I didn't need to worry. Troy, the owner, is so upfront about pricing that we ended up doing more than originally planned. He is always clear about the pricing. He communicates early and often. He shows up on time. He never leaves a mess. He is thorough and straightforward. The new lighting is great. We added more than originally planned. We enjoy our home so much more, now that we have more usable (well-lit) space. I didn't realize how I would always end up in one spot so I could see better! Now, I can go anywhere--and did I mention, the closet is fabulous!

I called the owner Troy, and it's very important that you understand that you're talking to the owner when you call. Troy showed up and gave me a bid for some hallway recessed lighting, despite the older house and the ductwork above the ceiling. Troy made it work exactly as I had asked. Not to mention he didn't charge me any extra money for the time he spent in my attic figuring out how to put the lighting around the ductwork. I actually tipped him well for the hard work and sweat he put in in my attic during 106° heat.

We've been enjoying our new LED recessed lights for a few weeks now. I cannot believe we waiting this long to get them! They look so sleek. I would recommend this company without a doubt. I recently used this company for just a few LED canned lights for my kitchen.  I went online and they had their prices right on their website!  I liked that I could just set up an appointment and I bought the lighting package of 4 can lights for $550.  The scheduled this about a week out and had it all done same day.  Very professional and clean.  I really like that the prices were online and they came through.  I am going to replace a few ceiling fans in the next few months and will use them for that as well since their prices are great for that as well....and online too.

I just got my kitchen updated with recessed lighting from AZ Recessed Lighting. Everything was perfect! Troy gave me a quote over the phone based on pictures I sent and was there within days. Everything about my experience with AZ Recessed Lights was fantastic!!  Not only did Troy and his associate replace my 90's cans for lovely modern lights, leaving the area as clean as it was when they arrived, but they discovered that my skylight was 100x better than I knew it to be (and I've been living in my house for a year.)  The price was exactly the quote I was given and very reasonable.  Planning to have more lights installed soon.

They showed up on time. They are detail-oriented and were very careful working around our things. Troy was very helpful with his knowledge to give advice on appropriate lighting fixture and placement. His bid came in the lowest (very significantly lower than two other bids I had) and they were professional. We love the warm feel from these LEDs and they work well with the Lutron dimmer. Wonderful to have the fan now in the great room. Work Performed: Removed an old fluorescent oak light box fixture (from the kitchen ceiling) and a hanging light (over the counter top peninsula) and replaced the fluorescent fixture with five of the Halco 5" directional/gimbal-style 2700k LED recessed lights, and replace the hanging light with two j-boxes positioned over the peninsula for me to hang two pendant lights. He would have done this, but I didn't have them yet and I can handle that install. They also re-purposed an unused light circuit in our great room to supply power to a reinforced j-box to support a new ceiling fan in that room. Good job cleaning up too.
