HISTORY

Ray is like a diamond, there are many facets to him. Some very bright & some full of endless life. He is extremely creative and finds ways to solve problems where others may fail or just give up. To know Ray, is to know he is always thinking. Thinking outside the box is not unusual for Ray as he has been self employed since the age of 22.

Ray was raised in the Thourobread race horse industry and radio broadcasting arena, where he chose to train horses for many years. In his peak, he was the youngest and highest rated trainer at Turf Paradise. With all the racetrack politics, he decided to pursue construction. Ray had enjoyed building and working with his hands ever since being a young boy. He purchased Arizona Hydro-Pro in 1995, and began expanding it by adding additional services such as water damage restoration, mold remediation, flooring sales & installation, and remodeling & fire damage. Ray holds his contractor's license.

When the Tuesday storms hit in Mesa. Ray and the team at AZ Hydro Pro jumped into action mitigating the water damage quickly and efficiently! These guys know what they are doing and never tried to squeeze me for extra $$... something that is hard to find in this industry.

I will happily recommend this company for any of my friends going through water damage. But one word to the wise... get flood insurance :(

We just bought a house in AZ, and while we were gone, the monsoon hit us and left us with a flooded house. I did not know anyone and the first call for emergency service from another company said it would be 2-3 days. Second call was to hyrodpro. They were out that day and stay in conta the whole time we were being dried out. Every call was dealt with promptly. We seem to be a magnet for water damage, but this company had excellent service.

Ray was recommended to us by our interior designer who was new to the area. We decided to go with him because of the professional rapport with our designer, he gave the most detailed estimate of the contenders (which isn't saying much), and because he fell in the middle of the price range for our higher end home remodel.

The pro is that the job was completed, albeit 3 months after the promised completion date. The cons unfortunately outweigh the pro.  I do not feel like they are accustomed to higher end home remodels. And I would not recommend them for that purpose.

Ray subcontracted the job to another general contractor and was not very involved in the job so there was a definite breakdown in communication between us, him, the designer, and the work crew. He didn't listen to our plans and we were constantly stressed with ironing out problems that should not have come up, or that he should have dealt with directly. Most of the time it felt as if I was doing the GC job and just paying him in name only. The workmanship was sloppy and unfinished. We had to constantly tell them to finish what they started, fill obvious holes, fix shoddy tile work, etc.It was a headache that became more and more expensive as each supplemental work order was added just to finish the work.

Ultimately after a disaster their work would be an improvement, but for a home remodel working with them was a disaster in and of itself.

As an insurance agent I love Ray because he helps my clients avoid turning in tiny clams. He just went to a client last week helped to fix the situation and it was far under her deductible. The other water damage Restoration company I referred her to sent out one of his lackeys and told my client immediately turn in a claim. This would raised her rates for 3 years. Ray spent the time with my client to make sure she understands what she's doing. Thanks for all you do!
I love that he does water damage, mold, and other emergency clean up issues. Luckily I have never had to send him a fire!

*******DO NOT USE*****
They will promise you they will take care of all your problems, yeah nice guys kick you when you are down.  House was flooded....came in and told me they would directly bill the insurance company.  After four days and $9,000.00 later of water clean up....without ever sending myself or an invoice to the insurance company....he puts a Lien on my home.

Also, they take advantage of single women, beware.

My insurance company recommend Hydro-Pro carpet cleaners to fix a leak in my shower.
First off my insurance company said they were plumbers and a drywall/plumbing company that takes care of everything.
Well loose lips sink ships.
Thank's Jennifer!
The other plumber was Dave Capko from Ideal Plumbing same office as Ray Odom the plumber from Hydro-Pro carpet cleaner/plumbing!
I just needed to follow this paper trail.
Dave Capko's line was disconnected when I called.
No wonder my insurance adjuster was told that Ray take care of it!
Lie number one.
I had a simple problem that has now lasted  3 weeks from the start when Ray Odom showed up with his thermal camera.
I had a leak coming from my shower that buckled my wall a little bit.
Ray Odom proclaimed Oh you have a leak
My reply was yes I can see that Ray.
You would think if a plumber showed up at your house he would start the process.
Did he NO!
Ray Odom said he would be back with my insurance adjuster.
Patrick from Farmers Insurance came on time.
We both waited for Ray Odom.
Ray Odom finally showed up!
Ray Odom said he had to open up my wall.
Ray Odom was 45 minutes late he should have apologized to Patrick from Farmers Insurance for waiting around for him.
Ray Odom had no apology to me!.
Ray Odom treats women terribly and tries to dismiss me.
I am not a women you dismiss.
Ray Odom found the problem there was a leak where ceramic tile sealant should have been put when the house was built.
Ray showed up again on Thursday I thought he was there to work he set up these fans to dry the water in my wall.
To which shocked my mind because the shower was not used for 2 weeks by this time.
It was dry already.
Ray Odom also told my insurance company Farmers I had mold.
Ray Odom told me I had no mold just water that needed to be dried.
Ray Odem told me he could not stay and do my work because there were larger problems with people who have flooded homes.
Ray blew me off and said he did not work weekends because he likes to ride his motor cycle.
Why I thought is Ray here? His office girl Jennifer told me he was coming every day when I called.
Ray never came on time and spent a total of 2 hours that was his longest stretch.
He came to my home 4 times and this project started in late August!
It is now mid September.
Never ever have I had I had so much mayhem.
Later yesterday a dry wall man showed up named Omar he said why isn't the tile work done?
I said Ray Odom has not finished that yet.
Lie # 2. Yes Ray Odom said he would be finished.
Omar also said there is no sealant put on that needed to dry.
Once again the undependable Ray Odom sent a dry wall man out who was in shock.
Omar called Ray Odom on loud speaker Ray said just don't worry about any sealant or the tile.
Omar asked him about the missing tile.
Ray Odom said he would knock it out from the other side!
That side has NOTHING wrong with it.
Omar just shook his head and kept saying he was so sorry.
Omar is a nice man he kept saying Ray Odom is a bad man.
I agreed.
I am so tired of having this 3 day project take 3 weeks.
Don't count of their promises Hydro-Pro Ray Odom will leave you empty handed without fixing the problem.
Ray Odom will not work weekends bad business decisions!
That was the missing piece to this puzzle.
I bet if it was a home flooded Ray Odom would be at that house on the weekends that = more money!
A handshake means nothing to Ray he said he would come and lied to me.
Ray Odom is a piece of work if he shows up it's hours too late.
Lie # 2 RAY ODOM GAVE ME HIS WORD THAT HE COULD DO THE JOB.
DON'T EVER USE HYDRO-PRO IN SCOTTSDALE, OR ANY OTHER PART OF PHX.
RAY ODEM IS A COMPLETE FAILURE IN MY BOOK.
RAY IS A PSYCHOTIC MAN WHO WILL CONTINUE TO LIE.
RAY SHOULD BE TAKING SOME KIND OF MEDICATION.

****BEWARE LADIES******
BEWARE ALL WOMEN RAY ODOM WILL TRY TO TALK OVER YOU AND BLOW OFF YOUR PROJECT.
DON'T GIVE THIS MAN ANY MONEY.
RAY ODOM WALKED OFF MY JOB AND THAT WAS IT AS HE MUMBLED SOMETHING DEROGATORY UNDER HIS BREATH.
RAY ODOM WILL MAKE A HOLE IN YOUR WALL AND NOT COME BACK AND FIX IT.
FOOL ME ONCE SHAME ON YOU, FOOL ME TWICE SHAME ON ME.

Honesty and responsiveness are two important qualities when looking for a contractor and Hydropro is both of those. Jennifer is awesome to work with! She responded quickly to emails and was more than patient with us when we had to postpone our project. In the middle of our project we had a separate issue that occurred and Ray gave advice on what to look for, questions to ask and a price range of what to expect. Our project was seamless from start to finish!

We had Ray from Hydro-pro come out to give us a quote for water damage repair.  We were either going to pay out of pocket or go through insurance.  Ray came out on time and was friendly and knowledgeable.  Ray suggested we pay $300 for a mold inspection but we declined and asked him to include that cost as part of his quote.  A week later we contacted Ray and asked if he had a quote ready for us.  Ray called us back and left a message:  i'm not going to put my time and energy in...if you're not willing to spend the money then I won't do the report. (these are exact quotes from his voice mail).  All we were looking for was a quote or estimate range, but he refused to give one.  We contacted a couple other water damage restoration companies and neither one required us to pay anything up front for a quote.

Holy Carpet Cleaner Batman!!! Tim and Ray Odom With AZ Hydro Pro came and save our carpet (again)! Chris Tousley was absolutely getting new carpet this week as it is terribly embarrassing to have this in our home. LOOK what happened. Tim also said we have really good carpet and it will last another 5-6 years with their care. Go for it! I dare you to save me a few thousand dollars. -- feeling wonderful.    Go see my before and after photos on Facebook: facebook.com/azhydropro  PROOF!

Lived in house for 9 years and just thought was time to replace the carpeting, had used some of those $99 room services over the years for routine cleaning, met Ray Odom, Owner of Hydro-Pro, and gave them a crack at cleaning the carpets before I replaced them. I was Amazed at results, by the time they were done the carpets looked brand new, took their time and did incredibally throrugh job.  Great service at reasonable price-well worth it. My carpet cleaner from now on.

Had a horrible experience with this company.  They are just out to get money from your insurance company.  Be extremely cautious.
