These guys are amazing. We have a home in California and just purchased an AZ home.  Jorge and Armando gutted and remodeled 2 bathrooms for us , as well as doing our kitchen backsplash.  It was such a great experience. In the past we have had many issues with contractors, not this time. They worked very clean and did such a fantastic job. We really appreciated their attention to detail and keeping us informed at every turn. I just can't say enough good things about these guys.  We were so impressed with their work that we also had them do our daughters kitchen backsplash.
You will not be disappointed if you hire Jorge and Armando.

Needed help with a small kitchen project, so left three messages with this company over the course of a week or so. No one ever called me back.

Jorge and Armando recently replaced our kitchen backsplash, to include repairing the wall behind the tile, which was badly damaged in a storm. They did a fantastic job! They are true craftsmen who take pride in their work and are a pleasure to work with. They did some other plumbing and electrical work for us also, and we were just as pleased. They cleaned the area up at the end of their work day so that we could use the kitchen. We highly recommend them, and will definitely hire them again!!

I contacted AJ a few weeks ago about a bathroom remodel (mainly bathtub to shower conversion).  A meeting was setup for a couple of days later.  Meeting went well and I was told I should expect an estimate soon.  Being new to the process, I figured I'd get an estimate within a week or so.  Never received a response.  I even contacted and left a message for them a little over a week had past.  No response.  I figured they weren't interested in the job for some reason but I would have preferred them to just say so instead of no response at all.  If they needed longer for the estimate, that would have been fine also.  However, no response. No worries though.  I'm just going in a different direction.  Just unexpected from all the reviews I've read and the work I've seen in the pictures.

Jorge and Armando tiled our bedroom, bathroom and kitchen backsplash and did a phenomenal job! They are extremely hard working, friendly and reliable. We will definitely hire them again for any future projects.

This review is based solely on communication and not their actual work. The gentlemen (very nice) came out to look at the repairs I wanted done in my home. They emailed me the plans, costs and everything.  I wanted to use them and felt very comfortable with them. Then after many attempts to book them, they said they could not do the project until about a month and a half later due to a busy schedule. I said that was fine and I would wait. So I waited and waited and have sent them MANY messages and got no response. So the work on my home was not completed and now I have to start looking for someone else to do the work. Very poor communication. I get that you're busy, but if you say you can book me in February, then keep your word. Here it is now, February, and I get no response.

Jorge was very apologetic about the issues and has since come and started repairs. I am VERY pleased with the work they have done thus far. You know it's a good company when they acknowledge their downfalls and work hard to correct them. I will post pictures after the work is completed and I'm sure they will be earning 5 stars. Had a leak in a second floor bathroom that caused some water damage in that room and damaged the ceiling downstairs. I got several quotes on the repairs and ended up going with AJ Home Improvements. Their quote was very detailed and the cost was reasonable. When they came to do the work, they arrived on time and were courteous and efficient. The quality of the finished work was excellent. I was very satisfied with the entire experience and would definitely use Jorge and Armando again for future work.

Called up this company due to the high rate on yelp, they came out took some measurements, and said that we would have a quote emailed to us by Tuesday the 15 of May 2018, well Tuesday came and went with no quote,  even though they were upfront about not being able to hit our target day we were still looking at possibly using them to do the work. However now with no quote and no response to text or call, it is a bit hard to hire and recommend them for further work,  at this point it would have been better if they had just said we don't want to do the job.. Instead i am now scrambling to find another company...

Jorge and Armando were really fantastic.  Jorge responded quickly to my call and gave me a quote within 24 hours.  Armando tiled a bathroom for us and we were so pleased with their work that we also hired them to install ceramic tile throughout the house.  They are hard working and really went over and beyond to meet our unique scheduling challenges.  I would highly recommend them.  Plus - they are just nice guys too!

Jorge and Armando recently completed a kitchen back splash and light fixture install project and did a terrific job. They had to do a lot of cuts to frame out our kitchen window, but it all looks tremendous. They came on short notice and helped us get this work done before holiday parties my wife and I are hosting this month. They are reasonably priced, very clean, and do high-quality work. I would definitely recommend them and use them on my next remodel project.

Armando and Jorge were hired to install @ 80 s.f. of mosaic tile we purchased for the kitchen in our newly built home. The tile backsplash we wanted covers the entire wall (extended over the cabinets to the ceiling), which required removal and reinstalling a large glass and stainless steel vent fan over the gas stove and cutting crown molding to fit the tile behind it. We also had them move a dining room chandelier light fixture and repair the drywall at the old location and had them install 2 garage storage ceiling racks.
Choosing A & J was the BEST decision we could have made!! Both are professional, personable and highly skilled. They went above and beyond by going out at the end of their LONG first day to purchasing the perfect pencil trim (and texting me photos to pick from several) when the Schluter edge strip sold to us by the tile company was too thick. They were patient with my questions and weren't bothered by my watching their work. They were meticulous with all aspects of the installations and the clean-up, taking great care to protect my floors, granite, cabinets, appliances and furniture.
I LOVE the way my kitchen turned out!! Additionally, we can't even tell where the old fixture was, as it blended seamlessly. We plan on having them return in a few months to do more work. Be patient with their scheduling! They're absolutely worth the wait! 5 PLUS Stars!

Jorge and Armando did an excellent job building a new closet in our den. They had the best price out of three vendors. I choose them based on the good reviews on Yelp. My wife was very pleased and she's not the easiest to impress. I will definitely use them again in the future.

Jorge was very responsive to my initial inquiry and came to the house for a quote within a few days.  It took me a while to move forward with the project and then took a few messages before I was able to get into their schedule (they must be very busy!).  But Jorge and Armando did a great job on my kitchen backsplash as part of my kitchen update.  Would've been 5 stars if they were more responsive to my scheduling inquiries, but the quality of workmanship at a fair price was worth the wait!  I will be remodeling my master bathroom in the future and will definitely consider using them for that project.

Armando and Jorge did an amazing job on stone installation in 3 bathrooms and our laundry room and we are going to have them do more work as soon as they can fit us in! They are incredibly professional and TRUSTWORTHY as they worked on the house while we were on vacation and we came home to beautiful stone and NO MESS (they did an impeccable job of cleaning up after they were done).

Can't say enough good things about these guys other than "USE THEM"

I had an update on my bathroom done. They removed the old vanity, mirror and medicine cabinet. The installed the new vanity and tiled the floor. I'm very happy how it turned out.

I definitely plan on using AJ Home Improvements again in the future. They promptly came out to my house for an estimate and were able to fit me in their schedule that same week. They performed high quality work and kept my house clean in the process. They also finished ahead of schedule. My new kitchen backsplash looks fantastic, and I would highly recommend them.

Jorge and Armando installed hardwood floors in our den this weekend. We were very pleased with the work and attention to detail. At one point, they offered to re-stain our baseboards so that the fluidity of the color scheme would not be compromised! They have a great eye for detail and are honest and fair, we will definitely be calling them for future projects!

These guys are excellent.  Their work is top notch, their prices are fair, they had great ideas on how to do what I wanted done, and what meant the most to me was their integrity was above reproach. I would definitely call them again if I needed more work on my home. I highly recommend them.

I've been slowly renovating my home, making it a little less "1970s" inside. AJ Home Improvements did a combo of framing, insulating, and drywalling an interior brick wall, and removing some old carpet and laminate flooring to lay down a new tile floor. They weren't my cheapest bid for the work, but I chose them because of Jorge's response time & demeanor when providing the quote and their good reviews online. I wasn't disappointed. Jorge & Armando did a great job with the craft work, and they were professional and incredibly conscientious during the 5-day project. I will definitely hire them again for future projects (if they aren't already sick of my steep driveway and old house that has no straight edges, haha!).

Horrible experience. Will over charge and try to scmam you. Do a horrible job and then demand more money than previously discussed, without doing the work.

I cannot say enough good things about the work Jorge and Armando did on my house!  My husband and I recently purchased a home that we wanted to make some cosmetic changes to.  I came across AJ Home Improvements via Yelp while searching for a good company to complete tile work.  Since they had 5 stars, I decided it would be worth reaching out.  Jorge came to my house that evening (I think it was a Wednesday), sent a quote a few hours later and they began work on Sunday!  They demo'd our the old kitchen back splash, replaced the dry-wall, re-tiled the entire area and tiled our new fireplace.  Half way through the job, we also asked them to demo a small piece of our master bathroom back splash and replace that drywall.  On the last day of the job, they also reinstalled 4 of the sinks in our house (kitchen, bar area and bathrooms).  Having worked with/hired so many different companies lately (painters, texture/dry-wall company, granite installers, roofers, etc.) I have to say our experience with AJ Home Improvements was the best.  I am very particular (almost obsessive compulsive!) with the work done on my house and Jorge and Armando were clean, quick and did fantastic work!  Had I found them sooner, I would have used them for more than just the demo, tile work and plumbing.  We will absolutely be using Jorge and Armando in the future!  Whatever work you might need done, as long as AJ Home Improvements is able to do it, I would highly recommend hiring them!

Wow!  I'm so thankful to have found Jorge and Armando for my home renovations.  I initially hired them for 2 bathroom remodels, and they did such a great job that I called them again for other projects around the house.  Now they've installed vanities, baseboards, electrical, and even custom built a bookshelf for me.  Their attention to detail and pride in their work is what sets them apart from other people in this business, not to mention their reliability.  If they say they are going to show up, they show up!  I will absolutely be using them again in the future!

Contacted AJ Home Improvements for tile work in Kitchen backsplash and casita backsplash.  Armando and his brother did an amazing job.  Very meticulous, and clean job.  The tile work was done with lots of thought, as it was not an easy pattern to work with since each tile was different.  Before the guys started, they covered everything with paper, then when finished, they wiped down everything and cleaned my stove and range hood, counters, then cleaned the floor. Great guys - worked hard and did an amazing job.  Thank you.

Hello, this is my second review for this company.  Again, they did prompt and good quality work for me. This time I had a more simple screen door repair however, I am remote and needed the repair done in a hurry.  I called the only guys I trust.  Seriously.  Jorge and Armando are a skilled team but equally important they continue to offer the BEST customer service.  They are very respectful and have high integrity in addition to their skill in the trade.  Highly recommend!

Excellent workmanship and attention to detail.  Great to work with and we are already lining up future projects that we will be requesting their help on!!  I can't say enough good things and highly recommend!!!

It was a pleasure doing business with Jorge and Armando. We had a tile and painting project on a deadline. They responded the quickly and made suggestions to improve the look and final outcome. They have a great work ethic, are honest, reliable  and fair.  We will be calling them again soon!

My husband and I can't say enough good things about Jorge and Armando. They did an excellent job remodeling our master bathroom and with prep work in our master bedroom for future finishes. They are very professional and talented in their craft. We are extremely pleased with their workmanship, and we are looking forward to having them complete other jobs with our full house remodel.

They were a hour late for the appointment.  They didn't respond or return calls for the estimate. Not professional.
