I was torn on exactly how to rate this company on a single grading scale. Overall, I'd say 3/5.
5/5 on the quality of the finished product so far. The yard turned out very well, and overall we are happy with it.
2/5 on their ability to keep to the schedule they told us. The turf was supposed to be done on a Friday, and it wasn't even close. So then they said their guys would be here on Saturday. That Saturday, nobody had shown up by 3pm, and then we were told that they weren't coming until Monday, but that it would be finished then. Long story short, the turf wasn't done until Wednesday. Their workers quite literally moved our patio furniture around and sat on the chairs for hours at a time playing on their phones. And then had the audacity to just leave the furniture without even putting the table and chairs back. I get it. It's Phoenix. But if you give us a schedule, we expect that schedule to be met. Especially when we see the workers sitting out back doing nothing, and they didn't get here until late in the day. We shouldn't have to cancel plans and reschedule our own things because they can't keep up with theirs.
3/5 customer service. We were told they would come back the following Sunday with the receipt for the final payment we gave them. They never showed up, and didn't bother letting us know they weren't bringing it. They also left bags of trash on the side of the house. This was a $20,000+ project for our backyard. Turf, gravel, pavers to extend the patio area, and planting bushes along the border. When I texted them to ask about the receipt for our tax records, all we got first was an email with the amounts. Not an actual receipt, and no response to the text messages. While they were always nice to talk to, their overall customer service was severely lacking. For over $20,000, I don't expect to find garbage bags on the side of the house, having to consistently ask for an actual receipt, and constant delays.
Yes, the work turned out nice. There's no complaints there. But with all of the other aggravations, I would go some place else in the future. I understand that they have other customers, but we shouldn't have to pay the price for them taking on more work than they are able to handle. Not sure where the issue is in their business line, but it needs work in that regard.
