HISTORY
Established in 2002.
The owners of Washington Water Heaters started the company in 2002 after working for a competitor for many years. We realized that one thing was missing with the other company: Personalized Service. As owner/operators, we were able to build a customer base by staying in the field ourselves. This allowed us to build relationships with our customers directly. Even today, when you call in after hours, owners take the calls, and will oftentimes be the one who comes to do the work at your home or business. As we have grown, we brought on more staff, and trained them with our Personalized Service mentality. At Washington Water Heaters, we strive to treat our staff like family. This empowers and motivates our crew members, and helps to keep the service to our customers personalized.

Had them out for a bid months ago and appreciated the information at the time. No commitment and they didn't push at all. I asked for a few extras in an additional bid and received good information to take or leave.
Fast forward six months or so, called them up, asked for their earliest service, and to nix the extras I had inquired about... They were over within a week and done in just half the day.
Fantastic new heater- 20 years makes a difference! Didn't need anything more and didn't have to fight for it.
Fully satisfied. Thank you!

Had to replace the old water heater and Washington Water Heaters provided the best overall price. They provided a quote based on pictures. The companies did a bit of a pressure sales by coming out and providing a quite and saying they can do it the job right away.
Dewey and Connor (I think sorry!) did a good job and we're in and out pretty fast. They also brought the water heater install up to code.
Just beware that they will charge for incidentals like $89 for being more than 50 feet from street and/or difficult install. Plus another $89ish for adjustments to relief drain lines. This they generically call bringing up to code.
Overall, have no complaints so far.

PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO PAST REVIEWS ON APPOINTMENTS! THE ARE COMPLETELY UNRELIABLE AND DON'T CARE.
I made an appointment with BelRed the prior week for 8-9 am on the following Tuesday morning. I rearranged my work schedule so that I could be home for the appointment. They sent a text monday morning confirming the appointment. 5 hours later they sent a text RANDOMLY Changing the appointment time for the following day. NO PHONE CALL, NO INQUIRY.
So I called them to find out what was going on. Oh, we didn't realize that we had a meeting that the technician has to attend (it's an internal meeting, mind you - a priority over customers at this place). We are so sorry, and yes, we should have called. When I informed them I could not make the window work they had newly assigned (a 2 hour window later in the day vs. the 1 hour), they apologized and said we will be SURE to reschedule you. How does Wednesday morning work? I indicated this would be great, but that again, I was re-arranging things and also needed to deal with logistics of my child. Not a problem! We will be sure to have the technician send you a text 30 minutes before his arrival.
So Wednesday morning comes and I am racing around, having made arrangements to get my daughter to where she needed to be 30 minutes in advance to be sure to be home in time. I had not received a text from the technician nor ANY communication from BelRed. So I called them to let them know I would be back at my house shortly.
THAT IS WHEN THEY FELT IT WAS CONVENIENT TO LET ME KNOW THEY HAD RESCHEDULED MY APPOINTMENT AGAIN. WE ARE SO SORRY! AND THEN WENT ON TO SAY THAT THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHY A NOTICE WAS NOT SENT. FURTHER, they indicated they had decided the technician needed to respond to a higher priority and then gave me a new window of FOUR HOURS later in the day. At this point I was pissed off. I did not use a SINGLE profanity, nor did I raise my voice, but I did challenge the gaslighting words the manager, Jordan used We didn't de-prioritize you. Untrue. Further, they had not a clue what the needs or circumstances were for my needed repair.
Jordan claimed she would then find out when a tech would come to the home. They were unwilling to offer any other accommodation in billing or rates or inconvenience because their policy already had them not charging for the assessment. I asked if she would call the rep at 9:30 and then confirm with me what she knew so that I could COUNT on the appointment as their systems, methods of prioritization, and automated communications have proven 3 times unreliable. She indicated she would NOT be speaking to the rep, but would look at their system and notify me with his status at 9:30.
At 9:35 Jordan sent a text indicating BelRed indicated they are not a good fit and cancelled the appointment.
Thank you BelRed for jerking a customer around for two days in a row, messing up work schedules with no regard for customer impact, failing to communicate, prioritizing internal meetings over customers, gaslighting, telling the customer you re-directed technician twice to other priorities, and failing to be accountable.

Very knowledgeable and great value during the replacement of our new water heater. Thank you Tim and Steve! Definitely will be calling again on our next project.
Had a leak pop up on our old water heater. Had a prior good experience with Washington Water Heaters many years ago so called them up. They were able to get me on the schedule for a water heater replacement the next day. Dewey was the tech that was scheduled and the guy was spot on. Very professional, advised me of my options with the pros and cons of each, and no BS. Got the job done fast, and good clean up of the job site.
Very glad I went with these guys.
Fast respond, honest and reliable service.
They called to inform on the way. Nice technician and explain everything in details. Price is responsible too.
Our water tank heater was leaking and needed to be replaced. We got lucky and found Washington water heaters. Great communication, on time, efficient, and friendly. Great price as well. Highly recommend!

Steve, Dewey and Jacci are true professionals. I had an old water heater to replace. Steve, with his experience, listened to my request and gave me exact details of all the work from that request in good nature, then his honest opinion of what I should be doing and a good reason why. I got the quotes for everything then took his suggestion. The work was detailed and reasonably priced. Installed was scheduled in 1-2 days I think, Jacci was super helpful with this. My install was no fuss, and Dewey answered all the questions I had. Much appreciated. Thanks!
I'm very happy with my tank, it's a great improvement. I should have got this done a long time ago.
This outfit earned one of my rare 5-star reviews. They took care of our tankless water heater need, and then we also used their furnace maintenance/repair service.
Our 17-year-old Rinnai tankless water heater needed replacement, and we wanted another Rinnai. After doing some research I contacted three distributors; Washington Water was the easy choice based on manner, knowledge, and price. Installation was precisely aligned with the expectations they set, with excellent results. It was a pleasure dealing with them over the phone and email, and with Tom - who visited to survey the situation and provide a quote, and then returned to do the installation.
Relative to the other two firms, Washington Water was the most knowledgeable. Tom clearly enjoyed the technology and was up-to-date. Of the three companies I contacted, he was the only one who pointed out that the new high-efficiency units would meet my needs at a lower max BTU rating then my older less-efficient model, and thus I could save money by purchasing a lower-BTU unit.
Washington Water felt the most customer-focused. Everyone I communicated with seemed genuinely interested in understanding my needs, meeting those needs, and setting my expectations appropriately. The quote seemed fair based on my research and on what the other two firms had proposed. Those firms were focused more on making a sale that met THEIR needs. One was very highly priced, even after reducing their quote following my resistance. The other insisted that my town's updated building codes required me to replace my external unit with an internal unit, which was a higher total cost and would leave me with an outside wall to fix; after I researched the codes and found this was untrue, they admitted they only sell internal units.
It took less than two weeks to have the new Rinnai in place after initiating contact. With his attention on detail and quality, Tom was careful to ensure the new unit covered the same area of the exterior wall as the previous unit, thus requiring no finish work from me. Excellent appearance and function.
Pleased with these results, I decided to use this firm to perform maintenance on our furnace and diagnose the issue with its newly-squeaky blower motor. Another good experience, this time with a visit from Jeremy and his colleague.
Though not a major criterion for choosing them, I also liked the paperless efficiency with which Washington Water provided on-line quotes and received our post-work payment.

Very professional and prompt service in swapping out a tankless hot water heater. Explained all the various steps of their pricing based on what the new system needed and what was required by updated codes. Replaced a 10+ year old tankless unit with an updated and more efficient unit. All work completed very quickly!

We had a tankless water heater installed to swap out an old hot water tank. Washington Water Heaters was quick to respond and schedule an appointment for a bid. Tom was great at sharing details about the work and was by far the most knowledgeable. We will definitely be using them again if we have other jobs. Great knowledge, great pricing, great work.
To me, this is the best plumber company in the region. Why? They saved me thousands of dollars through professional investigation and honest suggestions.
We had a water heater problem in our house which we moved in a year ago. I called another plumber company that I found on Yelp (Say, Company B) because they have a good review. Two men from company B came and looked at the water heater and told me that there is a problem with the pressure in the tank. They did not check the actual tank pressure, instead, they looked at the label on the tank and told me that the water heater is made in 1999, and it's 23 years old and needed replacement. They recommended that I replace it with the heater that they carried in their truck on the site. I had a doubt because the house was built in 2004, and the tank looked quite new and clean. He told me that it was produced in 1999 and probably sat in the warehouse for 5 years before being installed.
I was having a little doubt about that but since did not know when the water heater was installed, and because he seemed very nice and confident, I trusted him and was about to agree to replace the tank.. but had a second thought to at least go check the price from the other plumbers.
I made a few calls, and a friend of mine referred WWH. I made a contact with WWH through yelp for a quote for a water heater replacement. Steve, the owner asked me for the serial number of the current water heater, to provide a precise quote. After replying back with the serial number to him and waiting for 10 min, Steve came back to me asking, Why do you want to replace a water heater that is only 3 years old and still under warranty? ... I was so shocked. I was just about to discard a nearly brand-new device.
Steve even shared the link to the manufacturer's website where I can browse the warranty information of the device. Indeed the water heater was made in 2019 and the tank and parts are under warranty until 2028..! He told me that even if a replacement is needed, it will be done with the warranty. He further offered to send a technician to our home to analyze the symptom and inspect the pressure relief valve.
Two days later, a technician Dewey, a very nice and friendly person, came in and did a tank pressure test, inspected the valves and other parts - concluded that there is no symptom that indicates a problem. He told me that just in case the pressure relief valve can be replaced under the warranty but still costs me a labor fee. It may not need to be replaced as it seems to be working just fine now. Instead, he advised me to continue to use the heater but carefully watch for any issues. That is the time we do a replacement.
Then why the value got reset? Hard to tell, but could be a false alarm. We decided to reset the valve and use it as is for now. It's been two weeks, but the water heater is working just fine. Dewey also told me, as an FYI, if WWH replaces the tank, that can be done with nearly half the cost of what Company B offered me. I asked to put a sticker of WWH on my heater so we only make calls to WWH next time a professional plumber is needed.
Thank you Steve and Thank you, Dewey. I am glad that I found a partner when comes to plumbing.
Washington Water Heater is a great company and owner Steve worked with me to address any of my concerns and did his best to minimize costs. To ensure minimal cost I think it is why he did my install personally instead of his service crew that was originally scheduled. Friendly staff and courtesy and respectful and knowledgeable. Jacci and Toni were the front line office people and so nice that it attracted me to the business. I liked the service so much I asked them to quote me on air conditioning and Furnace. Short Summary- Quick Response, Quality work, honest people, customer service oriented and best price. As an example for price, I different company quoted me for a cheaper brand water heater for $4700. The price quote from Washington heater was so reasonable I upgraded my water heater to Bradford White 50000BTU Direct vent. For my setup I will be ~$3000. I got another quote from a 3rd company for $700 more for the exact same water heater, and more $ for more modifications. Washington Water Heater seemed really Honest and trust worthy. I recommend them.
Everything from the scheduling process, the estimates and the installation was a delightful experience.
Len came out to give us an estimate for a thankless water heater. He took the time to explain everything and provide a very detailed esrimate.
On the day of the install, everything went smoothly. The install took about 5 hours and the end everything was cleaned and left spotless.
I couldn't be happier with the quality of service and how nice everyone is

22 year old water heater broke. They did a good responsive job replacing it. Prompt and clear quotes and explanations. Reasonably priced.
Our old gas water heater finally died. It leaked all over the floor and after we clean up everything we called a few places to get bids and settled on Washington Water Heaters. We corresponded on Yelp for a bit and they were very responsive, informative and professional as well as polite.
Tom came over to do the installation. He offered ideas to give me the best value; even saving me money on the cost of the water tank.
Throughout the process I was impressed with the level of service and efficiency.
In the pandemic environment they are very conscientious and understanding making sure to do everything right.
I recommend this company.

Matt and Keeland came out regarding a plugged 100 year old bathroom sink (and pipes!). We had dealt with another company for our plugged kitchen sink and that ended with the pipe being breached and water ending up in the basement. I was positive that the pipe for the bathroom would need to be replaced (open up wall, etc), but Matt felt confident he could snake it. After 15' and 3 tries, the sink is emptying quickly! Yea! No opening up of the wall. Both Matt and Keeland were on time, professional, took time to explain what our options were. I'd call again. Very satisfied customer! (sorry, no pictures to post....!)
I got tankless quotes from three companies but this company was the most helpful and explained things the clearest, including the different sizing and brand options and whether or not I should upgrade the gas line (not needed). Prices were about the same for everyone so knowledge and experience were the tie-breaker. Installation was smooth even though we have a bizarre layout in our garage. There were two minor issues after installation that were addressed super quickly in the first week. It's now been around 2 months of problem-free operation. I have no complaints and we have unlimited, recirculating, instant start hot water.

Can't say enough good things about Washington Water Heaters.
Our gas water heater broke down and we eventually had 6 companies or so bid out the job, some in person and some over the phone. Washington Water Heaters bid over the phone and was cheapest by a lot, which worried me, but after talking to them and checking other reviews we went with them. They did add on a few more charges than we were expecting when they saw the job in person, but the total still came out less than any other bid we had. We also had them install a hot water circulation pump, replace our old failing water shutoff and pressure regulator, and did a few other small things including fixing a leaky sink that another plumber couldn't find.
All told, we got everything we needed at around 40% less than another plumber quoted us, within 2 days, and exactly at the quoted price. It's also nice that, unlike some competitors, they don't charge a trip charge for estimates. Dewey and his apprentice Corbin were professional and courteous and answered all our questions, and I'd recommend this company to anyone. Thanks guys!
After our water heater failed, and leaked many gallons...we called several emergency plumbing companies and got no response. I called Washington Water Heaters and within an hour, Dewey called back and instructed me in how to shut off both the water and gas to prevent further damage and leaking. I sent him pictures and he was able to recommend several options for replacement units. I had an estimate the next day and Dewey and Corbin arrived within 24 hours with a new water heater. Job was finished in 2.5 hours and they gave us instructions on temperature settings, warranties, etc. Dewey and Corbin were very skilled, knowledgeable and worked quickly, with attention to detail. This company specializes in Water Heaters and that is why they are so good at it. Why call a jack of all trades plumber to install a water heater, which they may or may not be knowledgeable or good at? The price was very reasonable and fair, and under what most internet plumbing sites quoted for the same unit/labor. I would not call anyone else in the future, and highly recommend this company, based on response time, quality of work, plus fair and honest pricing.
Replaced my tankless water heater with same. They were responsive, knowledgeable, customer oriented and competitively priced

I called Washington Water Heater's in a little bit of a crisis. My older boiler just quit. I had Len out fairly recently to do the annual maintenance so I already knew I was on borrowed time.
Washington Water Heater's (Len) adjusted his schedule to come out and to first evaluate the needs of my existing boiler. He explained the options and I determined the older boiler was just too expense to fix vs. its age. Len again adjusted his schedule to come back the very next day and complete a new install.
Fantastic customer service, quick action and a company that explains things in non-technical terms. Thrilled to be a repeat customer.
It was a two month process getting evaluations, bids, checking Angie's List, and collecting referrals to address my near 15 year water heater on the fritz.
Through the nearby North Seattle Lowe's, it was replaced and professionally installed by Len and Dewey from Washington Water Heaters on 12/28/17. This tank is warranteed for six years and with additional coverage for up to another decade.
Two other companies gave bandaid fixes, one bid was at 4 grand, one said the job would take all day...meanwhile it took considerable planning to have hot water available to take showers, wash dishes, and do laundry.
All appointments were coordinated by the nice person holding down the main office.
The first appointment was with Len to take accurate measurements. The second appointment with Len and Dewey was the actual installation of the new water heater tank.
Timely, friendly demeanor, professional installation, with lots of attention to detail, plus taking the time to answer questions and provide information that one can comprehend.
Very happy with the end result....highly recommended!

I contacted them via Yelp to replace my electric water heater. They gave me a detailed quote and helped explain my options for different water heaters. They were extremely knowledgeable about water heaters and helped me make a decision. Additionally, their price was substantially lower than others for the exact same, high quality model. The install went very smoothly and I'm 100% happy with my new water heater and my experience with Washington Water Heaters.
My tankless water heater was having issues where water wouldn't stay hot for longer than a few minutes.
I was a little worried that Washington water heaters was asking $250 for coming, while other places offered free diagnosis. However other places charged by the half hour for work while the $250 included 45 mins of investigation, and many places did not have the ability to fix tankless water heaters.
Steve really delivered! He was very knowledgeable about tankless water heaters and quickly found the problem, and fixed it along with doing a full maintenance cleaning of the water heater. He took apart the water heater very quickly and did the work very efficiently - he was very familiar with the model (Rennei).
In the end he completed the work in less than hour and only charged me $250, which was just the diagnosis fee!
Steve was great, highly recommended!

A water heater broke in a rental property and I contacted to get an estimate. I sent pictures and measurements (the opening for our water heater is 20.75 wide). Despite the pictures and measurements, they said that they needed to come out in person to look before providing an estimate. I then got the message that Almost all new 50 gallon tanks are 21 - 24 wide and we will still need room to attached the earthquake straps and relief lines. Yes space is needed to attach lines and straps, but all new water heaters are not 21-24 wide. Just not true, and a simple google search confirms this. Plus, I got a new water heater installed by another company, which clearly fit in the space (and room for straps).

It's rare to get a knowledgeable technician, good customer service, and good prices all in one place.
We had a hot-cold water mix issue with our tankless water heater. Washington Water Heaters send someone who was able to diagnose the issue very fast but also detected a relatively dangerous leak in the exhaust of the water heater. This could have been disastrous if CO leak increased over time. The technician did all the fixes professionally and explained all the steps.
I was very grateful and surprised.
We were notified late last night that our gas hot water tank was leaking and caused damage to the nearby surrounding area. This is the first time it's ever happened to me so I wasn't sure where to start and began googling to find a reliable plumber that's not in it to trick me.
I noticed Washington Water Heaters' consistent reviews and submitted a request for plumbing quotation. Despite it being 1am on Easter Sunday, Steve H replied promptly and requested to see photos so he can assess the situation. At 7am, I continued my conversion with Steve and within a short while I received a call to schedule my appointment. The operator was friendly, sympathetic of the situation and provided great insight on the various brands of gas water tanks and warranty options.
Jeremy came to see me within a couple hours and provided great customer service and educated me on where the leak occurred.
Overall price was competitive with no hidden fees. I am considering a furnace replacement in the near future and I'm definitely coming back to Washington Water Heaters. Thanks again!
Just had Steve from Washington Waters Heaters replace my 50g gas water heater that finally gave up the ghost.
He did a really great job, and was super knowledgeable.
After having a few sketchy plumbers come by to give me estimates, I'm thankful I found WWH!

A+ literally the only company that operates well in the construction boom. Showed up on time, easily scheduling, did the job in one day, checked there was not leaks. There was a leak they came early the next day before I die ruin. Easiest company I have worked with. Hire them!

James was early, thoughtful and offered to mask, and efficiently and professionally did the work needed on our Navien tankless water heater. I am most appreciative of his craftsmanly work and recommendations. These are great folks to hire for this type of work.
I normally don't take time to write reviews, but when the experience was either exceptionally bad or exceptionally good, then I think it is worthwhile to share the experience with others for them to make a well informed choice as I have benefited many times from others' thoughtful reviews.
I have a Navien tankless water heater that was installed in 2014. It had worked really well until about three weeks ago. The hot water supply was becoming inconsistent - sometimes working well, and other times providing only tepid water. When not working, I could see the burner was still firing, so I knew for the most part the unit was working, but something prevented it from heating or supplying the hot water at full temperature.
Unfortunately, I could not find the paper work for my Navien water heater but I remembered the vendor had Washington in its name. I then made the mistake in contacting the other water heater vendor that had Washington in its name. I made an appointment, despite that office not having me as a customer. The tech named Jose came out and immediately indicated the installation had not been done correctly. He claimed the gas line being split off from our furnace gas line would not adequately supply gas flow to the water heater. Further, he indicated that the drain pipe being tapped to the drain pipe of the furnace would cause backflow of air to the water heater that could cause problems. While what he said sounded logical, I questioned why the unit had worked flawlessly for over 7 years until now - if the installation was indeed the problem. Would I have experienced problems long ago if that were the case? He didn't have an answer. The water heater was not reporting an error code and he said as far he could see the unit was functioning properly. He further indicated that he could not begin to diagnose or repair until I rectified the installation problems he identified. That would have cost $650 BEFORE they would even begin to figure out the problem.
Obviously that was not welcomed news. I endeavored to find a better solution. I ended up searching the Navien website to identify certified service providers in hopes to find a vendor who should be able to recognized the symptoms I was experiencing with my heater unit. These units are popular and have been around for some time. Surely the problem I was experiencing could not be unique despite no error codes. To my dismay, the vendor I first called was listed as certified. However, Washington Water Heaters was listed immediately below them. With a little hope, I called Wasington Water Heaters. To my elation, they had me in their customer database as Washington Water Heaters had indeed installed my Navien unit. Toni took my called and I explained the problem. She made sure to schedule Len, who was supposed to be one of their most senior and experienced Navien techs, to come out in two days.
The appointment window was between 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on a Friday. I received a call from Len that day at about 12:00 PM to let me know they ran early and could be at my house in about a half hour and asked if that would be OK. I had no problem with that and they promptly showed up at 12:30 PM.
I explained the issues to Len, and within 2 minutes of his arrival, he already had a strong suspicion on the cause. We did a couple of quick tests and he confirmed the issue was with the check valve. He took out the damaged check valve and showed me the problem. Turned out it was quite a common problem as these units aged - typical wear and tear - and consequently the cold water was mixing with the hot water. It made total sense. Why the tech from the other Washington vendor would not have known this only showed how inadequately trained or inexperience they were. At least I'm going to assume that and not believe they were so unethical as to try to gouge me $650 on top of whatever the repair would have cost.
In the end, Len and his partner replaced the defective valve, inspected the rest of the unit and were done within 1/2 hour. The total cost for parts and labor was about $430. My only regret was that I had not fully remembered the correct vendor's name at the start. That will not be a problem in the future as Len wisely placed a Washington Water Heater sticker on the unit. Len also explained the criticisms about their original installation are unfounded. While they could have installed it the way the other tech described, it was unnecessary and would have cost more. I have no reason to doubt his explanation as the unit had previously worked really well for over 7 years.
All in all, I wasted $165 on the original service call that accomplished nothing, but I was glad that I ended up finding Washington Water Heaters to fix my problem. They were honest, knowledgeable and great to deal with - not instilling fear, doubt, or blaming the customer. I would highly recommend Washington Water Heaters!

We replaced a 25 year old (!) water heater in our new old home today preemptively and Washington Water Heaters not only provided a competitive quote but were very thoughtful and quick with the work they did. I would recommend them to anyone looking to replace their water heater.
New water heater - 3.5 rating.
I called a couple places asking for a quote to replace an existing, old but functional gas water heater. Chose WA water heaters because their quote was lower than another company's quote. HOWEVER, though WA water heater's PHONE quote was less than the other guys, it cost about $500 more than their quoted price to do the replacement. Their phone quote didn't include the (required) drip pan and other pieces here and there which the plumber identified as necessary in order to be compliant with code. Plumber did ask for approval on the updated price before beginning any work, but at that point I wasn't going to send him away.
So, if you are making your selection based on price and you have an on site quote vs. a phone quote, take into consideration that the on site quote may be more accurate for your specific setup. Don't assume that if your water heater was previously installed by home builders that everything is compliant... updates may be required that will cost you more $$$.
Was happy with the plumber, he was capable and friendly. I would use them again based on quality of work, but I didn't like the change in price from the phone quote.
WA water heaters: maybe consider offering free on site quotes, or advising customers that the price may increase if the current setup is found not to be up to code. I was surprised because I assumed the original builder installed the old water heater right in the first place. Apparently not the case.
Immediate response in submitting a quote via email. Very completive price, however, it was an open ended quote since they did not come out to the job site to finalize the work statement.
Hired the company who did come to our house and submitted a firm quote.

For the past 2 years, we have been struggling to get our Navien on-demand water heater and floor heating to stop a loud whomping sound when there was too much heat returning. Our previous service company tried several times to solve it and their solution did not fix it. I decided to try out Washington Water Heaters and when Steve came on site, he was able to get on the phone and troubleshoot to a solution within the hour: Replace the Heat Exchanger under warranty! (And we were just at the warranty period end). Steve replaced the items and it works perfectly. I definitely recommend them for Navien water heaters. (They are a certified service provider).

Sent out a SOS late Sunday night - our water heater turned off and after several attempts to restart, I reached out for help via Yelp. Steve texted within minutes with step by step instructions including photos and I was able to relight the water heater on the first attempt. I will absolutely use Washington Water Heater next time I have a need that they can help with. Thanks, Steve & Washington Water Heaters!
Just had Len from this company come by (in a mask and on-time) to take a look at our Navien Water heater. Very happy with the whole interaction. Turns out that though many companies can install tankless water heaters, very few seem to service them (maybe since they are sortof new? who knows). Len clearly knew his way around our tankless water heater, worked quickly, and even seemed excited that he was making changes that would improve our hot water situation. Couldn't really ask for more. Thanks!
Very responsive and clear communication leading up to job. Installed new water heater, water valve, expansion tank, and gas shut-off valve..Fair price.
Freaking Awesome!!! Got a bid from another place which was for a full replacement of a water heater (no hot water was coming at my rental!), but Washington Water Heaters stopped by and realized it was just a poor installation on the cold and hot intake and it got it resolved in a few minutes w/o having to replace. Anyway, truly appreciate the honesty and support, I've used them in the past for a replacement and will continue to use them in the future; their prices are competitive and they have great customer service.
We installed a tankless water heater and enjoyed working with Tom and the whole team. The whole process went smoothly. They were upright, efficient, responsive, and on time. The installation was perfect as well. We'll definitely go with Washington Water Heaters for future HVAC work.

I couldn't be more pleased by the service I received from Washington Water Heaters, and in particular, Steve. I have a Navien Combi-boiler which started dripping condensate in February. I initially worked with the company that installed my system to access my warranty. Navien recognized the problem as a known issue and authorized a new heat exchanger. The installation was quite costly but afterwards the system did not fire properly resulting in two additional costly service calls.
Well, finally I decided to switch companies. Steve took one look at the system and immediately diagnosed the problem. In addition, he carried around Navien parts in his van and was able to fix the problem without having to return. I wished I had initially worked with Washington Water Heaters. I would have saved several hundred dollars. They are now my go to company and recommend without reservations!

Very nice - Tom (one of the owners) came to give me the estimate on replacing our water heater. He was super helpful about the estimate, and was even willing to confab on the phone with my brother at no charge (FYI - my brother does HVAC but across the country, and I checked all my bids with him before I made a decision). We were able to get installation within a week of our call. Two stars off because the first team didn't finish the job and were just going to leave it undone til they could get back, which didn't work for me, because I had already arranged one day off of work, and couldn't get another day off. But add back one star because the owner called back within 20 minutes to say he would come by to finish the last little part of the job- at 5:45pm! The work was done very well, and no mess left behind. I would definitely call them again for new jobs.
They did a great job and were similar in cost to Lowe's for a new water heater. Quite a bit less expensive then other plumbers I called. Fast, easy, and excellent work getting my water heater replaced.
I requested a quote from multiple places to service a tankless water heater. WA Water Heaters was 10x more competent and communicative than the other folks I contacted, and that carried through to their scheduling and actual repair. Len was informative, communicative, and efficient. We'll be referring y'all to my neighbors. Thanks!
Steve is the best! He comes to our house on time and is willing to teach us basic knowledge while he is working on it. The price is super fair for both water heater service and boiler service. I will recommend him to anyone.
Great service! We don't have hot water from two days ago, scheduled a service with another two but they all cannot fix it. Contact Steve for a quote about 7pm on Friday, he responded very quickly and scheduled a service for us on the next day, the technician is super professional and friendly, because of the current cov19 situation he wear a mask, make us feel very comfortable, he figures out the issue very quickly and fix it within an hour, I highly recommend to everyone and I'm sure we will contact them again in the future if needed. Thanks Steve!!

I would recommend that you look to Washington Water Heater's for honest and good service.
I had a sears water heater that they installed 8 years ago and I still remembered their great services.
That's why I had them do the replacement water heater.
Great crew and they installed my new A/C in one day. Reasonable price and good work. left a clean house!
Everything was excellent from upfront communication with Toni in the office (professional, friendly, courteous, knowledgeable) to on-time service call and removal/installation of new tank w/ Steve. Steve even suggested areas of cost savings that would have added to their profit margin but probably not necessary for this installation. I certainly appreciate his honesty and integrity. The installation was fast and efficient and more professional than the original tank install. Hot water back online in less than 2 hours. Rarely does work with subcontractors go perfectly, but I would say that my experience was stellar; no issues whatsoever. I would not hesitate at all to recommend Washington Water Heaters. And yes, pricing was competitive and honest. Highest recommendation!
Great service, best price awesome timing. Tom and Steven came out to handful of jobs. I initially was only going to get my water tank replaced but i got my hvac serviced as well as some plumbing done. They came out very quickly got everything done at once, and gave my some good consultation on what some things i wanted to get done in the future!

Needed to replace an old water heater and sent our 6 request for quotes on Yelp. Tom responded super quick and took time to answer my questions. He was knowledgeable and made getting what I needed super easy. Install took a few hours with covid no contact. Clean install and super professional. Would highly reccomend these guys.
I knew I needed to replace my old water heater,so I had about 6 different companies give me quotes.
Washington water heater were the only ones that I felt were honest and not trying to take advantage.
They were quick and friendly and reasonably priced.
Highly recommend
My 20 year old water heater was leaking. It was a slow leak, but needed to be dealt with soon.
I started with another company that had good Yelp reviews. They asked for pictures, then told me what it might cost to replace my water heater. The bid was higher than I was expecting and I was surprised they weren't willing to come out.
So, I called Washington Water Heaters. Steve came out that day, walked me through all my options. After hearing challenges I would have switching to tankless, I decided to stay with a traditional water heater. Steve was out the next morning and replaced my leaking water heater. Great service!!!

Installed water heater by Dewey, a good technician, clean and nice work. Highly recommend. Also Jackie is very fast answer phone and move up my schedule one day. Good company and good service.
Len and Daniel installed a new tankless combi boiler unit in our place today on a four-day turnaround from their initial estimate. We're happy to be free of our aging, rusty tank system.
I picked them initially since our place has a hydronic heating system, which some plumbers are less familiar with than others. They successfully installed our new boiler/hot water heater and converted our hydronic system to a far more hygenic closed loop system over the course of a day. While it was not a cheap affair, the end result is both beautifully done and far more efficient than our old system.
If you've had to deal with plumbers that feel lazy or less than professional, call these guys. I was consistently impressed with their work ethic and professionalism, and their craftsmanship is also beautiful to boot.
We have a new water heater (3 months old) that we purchased from Home Depot. Unfortunately it had problems just 3 months in. Since it was purchased at HD and installed by a handyman, I could not find any water heater company or plumbing company who would come out to diagnose and repair it. After calling 10 such companies, I found Washington Water Heaters. They set an appointment 2 days out, then called stating they could come in an hour due to a cancellation. What luck on my part! They were professional, extremely knowledgeable, and didn't give up when the problem was a little intractable. Instead he got on the phone with Rheem and worked through the diagnostics with them. Although the problem seems to be on again and off again, Rheem agreed to send me a new control panel. Although he stated he had not yet come across a Rheem Gladiator tank water heater, his knowledge of water heaters was enough to diagnose and resolve the problem. Definitely a life saver for us. I don't know why other companies can't or won't work on a Rheem from Home Depot. It is just a water heater, not some mysterious object. Thankfully Washington Water Heaters came to the rescue. I highly recommend them.
Yesterday morning I discovered that I needed a new water heater ASAP. I called three reputable companies, and Washington Water Heaters not only had a good price, but they were able to come the same day. Jackie, who took my call, was very patient and helpful in explaining my product choices. Jeremy, the installer, called me to let me know when he would arrive, and with his assistant he removed the old heater and installed a new one in much less time than I expected it would take. This is the second time I have used Washington Water Heaters, and next time I need to replace my water heater, I won't even bother comparison shopping. This company is outstanding.
Thorough job and factory trained Navien tankless water heater techs. Fast scheduling.

4.6 out of 5.0
James and Steve came out today and replaced my leaking old water heater with a brand new 50gal unit. In the window of 11am-1pm I was given, they arrived at 11:01, WIN! They were friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help, DOUBLE WIN! We went over each cost point and actually reduced the price of the quote after seeing the situation. TRIPLE WIN! Install was complicated, being on a 4' tall platform, but they rigged a pulley system LIKE A BOSS and it was done in a couple hours. I made sure to thank them with a couple cokes and now I'm the proud owner of a new water heater. Couldn't ask for a better experience, and their price was nearly a thousand dollars less than the other quote I received.
It did take a bit of persistence on my end to get an appointment, but that's not worth a whole star, and I appreciated Jackie's help over the phone.
Kodiak Heating and Cooling, a division of Washington Water Heaters installed a mini split/heat pump system at our house yesterday. Please - if you are thinking about installing any kind of a/c, please call them! Their pricing is super competitive, they are efficient, professional and they communicate every step of the process if you can't be there for the install. Aaron did a fantastic job! Aaron and his team took immaculate care of our home and you couldn't even tell they had been there.
Five stars are not enough for this fantastic, stress-free experience.
Just had AC installed and they crew was AMAZING...we got a few different quotes and they were the best priced and the easiest to communicate with. Thanks Again :)
Wow - just WOW! When you see the five star reviews, you should believe them. I threw out a bid to get a tankless installed and some gas piping done. The reality is - NOBODY wants to run new gas piping in a crawl space...no one. It's a sucky job and I was getting ridiculous quotes. What I appreciate about Steve was that I expressed I was in a time crunch - he had an opening and came same day - he evaluated my space and gave me some SPOT ON recommendations that PSE said they were impressed that even knew this information.
He was able to work his schedule to fit into the timing of my job (it's a full remodel and I am managing a lot of different people!) He answered my NUMEROUS phone calls asking him millions of questions to make the other workers happy (the furnace guy, the roofer, you name it...)
There was one last piece that needed to happen before the fireplace install happened and Steve and Tom again rearranged their schedule to fit me in. Tom even called around to find me some bids for an additional small job that I needed done.
What I love about Washington Water Heaters - reasonable pricing for excellent work - they respected my home (even though it is a total construction site with no heat right now!!) - they came when they said they would and they made sure all pieces of the job were complete.
At the end of the job, it started down pouring and there was a leak in the new roof that was being put down - Tom was already on the roof so him and Steve got a tarp and put it up there to help me out! Does anyone work like this anymore? Washington Water Heaters and crew do - couldn't recommend highly enough!!!
As a real estate agent, I encounter a lot of people and I am overly impressed with their work, work ethic and their respect for a job well done. Thanks for being old school, taking pride in your work, doing what is right for the customer (even for the crappy parts of the job!)

Steve Skeen is a good man. I was shopping for someone to replace our water heater to a combination tankless system. During the process, the water heater stopped working. Steve stopped by to fix it temporarily for free! I hadn't even decided which company I was going to chose. I'm pregnant and having serious morning sickness and needed my hot showers. Obviously, I chose Steve to do the job after he temporarily fixed it.
His team showed up on time and were so professional. Len and Dewey were so nice. I kept having to take naps during the day and they were so apologetic about waking me up (not a big deal.. I sleep most of the day). Clean up and haul away was perfect!! They swept the entire garage. Len even looked at my heater on the 2nd floor to see if they can order a part for me. I had 3 companies come and give me quotes. Wa water heater was the cheapest and I'm so glad I went with them! Really, these are just good people and I'm happy I gave them my business!
No hot water after turning water off at the well. Friday on a holiday weekend in the middle of a pandemic. I called several companies, one told me they would not be able to repair mine because it was 8 years old but they would replace with a new one! Without even looking at it. Another could get here in a week but Washington heaters sent Steve immediately and fixed the issue in 2 minutes. Hot water again and I didn't need a new system. All it needed was a screen cleaned. Thanks Steve.
Very honest. I inquired about getting a water heater flushed (on a new house) in PNW and Steve explained that out here, it's not really needed since the water quality is so good (unless on a private well system, or it's tankless, in which case it needs descaling every 3 years). He explained that the manual only suggests doing it every year because they have no idea where it will end up. Other businesses kept quiet and were quite happy to perform an unnecessary flush.
Saved me $$ and worries.
We're very pleased with the folks at Washington Water Heaters--good people, doing business the way it ought to be done. Our contrasting experience with another company on the same job makes us that much more appreciative. We'd directly purchased a condensing gas tank water heater and found an installer based on contractor reviews. On the day of installation it became clear that the initial installer was out of his depth. Left with a quick and dirty installation job and an untuned water heater that was making a lot of noise, we turned to WaWa to fix the situation.
Len's expertise was visible as soon as he arrived--he quickly got things working and diagnosed twelve mistakes where the prior installer had violated clear warnings in the instructions. Each of these would have voided the warranty and risked damaging our home, or worse; three would have led the unit to fail within a short time. Gratefully, Len expertly re-did the entire install, at a reasonable cost. He also knew how to approach circumstances outside his expertise, and didn't walk away from the job until everything was operating exactly as it should. There was some difficulty tuning the unit and eliminating reverberation; Len consulted the manufacturer's technical support on multiple occasions and worked methodically through several potential fixes before ultimately solving the issue himself. Now our unit is virtually silent and operating at peak efficiency.
It's clear that WaWa stands behind their work, and their customers can have full confidence the job will be done right.
These guys know their stuff. I'm in a condo and have a hydronic hybrid water/furnace hookup. (The water heater blows the warm air for the furnace.) My problem was when the heat was on I couldn't get hot water.
They came out, diagnosed the problem quickly as the mixing value, and fixed it for a reasonable price. Very happy to have hotter water than before even with the heat blowing.
The only negative (and why I gave it 4 stars) was that communication wasn't good. The receptionist could've sympathized with the problem more instead of giving short quick answers. More importantly, the gentleman didn't show the day he was going to come replace the mixing value. I had to call him. Came the next day though and did a great job at a good price, no added costs.
I would definitely recommend!

It's not often a company earns a 1 star rating from me, but since Washington Water Heaters could not manage to notify me before 4pm of a change to my scheduled appointment tomorrow morning, such is their lot.
I would understand if their technician was working on an unexpected emergency for another customer, but it appears they cannot make it during our agreed upon 2-hour window because the technician is taking some days off'. Unless it was sick time - which the scheduler did not indicate it was - I would think WWH would require their employees give more than a few hours notice that they were 'taking some days off.'
What further frustrates me is, when I indicated the new time slot wouldn't work because another company already held that window, the scheduler said, Well, I guess you'll just have to be taken off the schedule then. Come on ... can't you at least make an ATTEMPT to provide decent customer service? How hard is it to say, I'm sorry for your inconvenience, are there any other times tomorrow that might work?
I have been tasked by my bosses to get 3 bids for this property. It will necessitate a 1.5 hour commute each way, so I did my research, chose 3 (what appeared to be) reputable companies, and arranged my schedule 2 weeks in advance to spend the day at the property obtaining bids. Yes ... it was 'just a bid' but WWH had a 1 in 3 chance of acquiring a $4000-6000 project. In my book, that's pretty good money.
If you are looking for a company that values your time and dollar, I suggest you move onto the next plumber on your list!
Tom Hagar & Washington Water Heaters provided outstanding help to us. Our old tank water heater started leaking on Christmas Eve, and Tom quickly helped us the following week in replacing that old unit with a more modern high efficiency tank-less unit. The hot water is great, and we are very appreciative to Tom for his hard work. One thing we really noticed is how knowledgeable Tom is regarding water heaters, install, and being to code. That is a great relief. Thanks Washington Water Heaters!
Had a really positive experience with Washington Water heaters. We had a tank water heater in our kitchen and I wanted to see if we could do something to get it out of the kitchen; Steve came and recommended an outdoor tankless unit that looks great and doesn't take up any space in the house. Their quote was competitive with other companies that I had bid this job. The crew that came out for the installation was very knowledgeable and did a great job of making a clean installation in a reasonable amount of time. Tom was very communicative and told me exactly what was being done. Would definitely work with them again.

Steve and Tom were an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. I found these guys by accident. I was on Yelp requesting a quote from a different company and checked the send to companies like this box. Steve responded even sooner than the company I originally requested a quote from and was out that same day. Our water heater died and leaked all over the basement, so we needed a replacement ASAP. We were thinking of switching to tankless, and Steve walked me through the whole process, explaining pros and cons, making sure I checked in with our gas company to confirm that our line could support it (we found out it could not). He walked me around my house and identified and explained the venting issues. That night, he sent a detailed email bid outlining 3 different options, and gave me his honest opinion about which one we should choose, which in this case happened to be the lowest price one. Steve and Tom took time on Memorial Day to come out and haul our old water heater away before the water mitigation service started drying out the basement, and then cam back a few days later to install our new water heater. Steve was super responsive via text (I had lots of questions and there were lots of variables to sort through as we made our decision) through the whole process. Wonderful to work with.
Steve is knowledgeable honest man. Suggest me DIY to check and fix my problem over the email. He could have easily charged me money for the this work. Thanks Steve. Appreciate your honesty.
Update: not sure who to believe, them or Sears agents....?
I bought my water tank through sears since it's a much better deal that way. Paid for all necessary installation and permit fees.
Washington water heaters calls and says they won't come in and install anything if I don't pay them extra fees.
Called Sears, they said that is incorrect and I paid for all fees necessary and said next time I should tell them to call Sears (since I'm not the client of Washington water heaters directly).
Anyways I was told there was an appointment set up for me today but washington water heaters canceled it.
Called back sears and they said Washington water heaters had an appointment with me on Friday...but then call washington water heaters since no one shows up and they say i still have to pay...who do I believe?
Then I call sears and another agent says sometimes contractors have extra charges but since I did not want to pay my order was canceled.
At the end I just hired another company myself (without help if sears) with a much better price. Sears said washington water heaters wanted about $300 extra on top of what I paid of $319 for installation. That's $619 just for installation only (I already had water tank).
Anyways since they canceled my order I'm waiting for a refund from sears but glad I was able to call contractors on my own for a much better price.
Here's what I really don't understand: how could they NOT come in and assess my old water tank but over the phone assume I just owe extra money for parts they're assuming I don't have...,???
Btw my old water tank is totally fine, I just know they should be switched out before getting too old and thought to do it now than later.
Anyways hope no one ever has to experience the craziness I went through calling sears so many times and then calling washington water heaters to try and figure out who to trust on the extra fees.
Had a Gas Water Heater replaced by Washington Water Heaters. They were very informative over the phone, providing information and options. Appointments were available readily and they were flexible with schedules. The installer was on time for the appointment and very direct with what he was going to do.
What surprised me the most was his patience with our old water heater install, illegal pressure relief valve install, and informing of any issues he found. If there were options to consider he made sure I was part of the decision and presented them clearly. It was his suggestion to buy a slightly different brand tank to help with the install with no additional cost to me.
I would recommend Washington Water Heaters to any one needing or considering a water heater install or replacement. I will consider them again for furnace work as well.
We had talked with a rep at Lowes about buying a water heater from them and then using their contractors to do the install. This is risky because you purchase the parts and don't know who will show up.
Working directly through Washington Water Heaters was simple and easy.

Just replaced our water heater. I called many companies of which Washington Water Heaters was the cheapest. The lady at the office was very helpful. I saved $200 by buying the heater at Home Depot which was on clearance. She was very supportive of that idea and talked to me many times to ensure I buy the right heater.
The installation was a breeze. The guy was took 40 minutes to do everything. Their prices are competitive and staff is very professional.
The only suggestion for improvement I have is that one of my old pipe was copper. The tech replaced it with PVC. I would have appreciated a heads up on that. That pipe is not pressurized so I do not mind, but as I said, I would have appreciated a heads up specially when I paid $475 just for installation which includes all fixtures. I also bought the expansion tank from them for a reasonable price ($139 with installation).
I would call them again.
Steve came to my house on Aug 9th on time and installed new water heater for me very professionally. I really appreciate what he did. I will use their service again if I need to.
Thanks Steve
I called around looking for someone to replace my water heater in a condo. I asked places about using a tankless system and many said it was just a bad idea, but Washington Water Heaters actually had a write-up on their site as to why electric tankless does not work for my situation and when I called they also explained in further detail.
So I decided to ask around again about having a regular tank system replaced. One place came out and quoted me at $2700. That was MUCH HIGHER than most ball-park over-the-phone estimates ($800-$1500) I was given.
So I went back to Washington Water Heaters and explained my situation. They gave me an expected ballpark value of $900, with possible incidentals costing another $200-$300. Rather than send someone out (and have to charge for that) they had me email pictures of the space and the water heater that was needing replacement (its 17 years old). I did that, had another short over-the-phone consult and then scheduled a tech to come out. Tom came out, assessed the situation and told me how much of those incidentals I'd be looking at. The price was right about what they estimated after they had seen the pictures I sent. Perfect!
Tom was friendly, even though my dog was super-nosy about some strange person hanging around the condo. He worked quickly and did a great job. Fair and honest...I feel like I found a great plumbing service.
We recently bought a condo, and the inspector told us that the water heater was showing its age (it was about 10 years old). Also, it didn't have a drip pan or earthquake straps, which is worrying. So I hired Washington Water Heaters to get a new one. I picked them based on their Angie's List reviews, and because they were offering a free earthquake strap (parts & labor) for anyone who found them on Angie's List.
When I called them, I was shocked to find out that they would be able to come the next day! I figured that I'd have to wait a week or two. They told me that they'd be installing a standard Rheem heater (our condo isn't suitable for either a hybrid heat-pump tank or a tankless system), and they gave me a price quote for the unit and installation. I've heard that Rheem is a great brand, and the price was very reasonable, so I scheduled a time.
The installer showed up on time the next day. Almost immediately, he encountered a small roadblock; the shut-off valve for the supply line was stuck! Luckily, he was prepared for this, and had no problem replacing it with a new one. The rest of the installation went smoothly.
We were very impressed with their punctuality and professionalism. The price was right, and the new water heater is working perfectly. And we feel much better knowing that our home isn't going to be flooded if an earthquake hits.
When this water heater bites the dust, I'll definitely be calling Washington Water Heaters again!

We just replaced our hot water tank and after careful research, chose Washington Water Heaters. First of all, I called around for pricing and was impressed with them right away. Steve even came out to my house to talk about tankless options. In the end, he recommended just replacing old water heater due to our needs. The installer was out the very next day and he was excellent. Quality work and even included some extra plumbing we needed at no increase from the original price quote. He also cleaned up the area and was very professional the whole time he was here. I called several places before calling this company but so happy to have found this company. Excellence all the way around and I have complete confidence in them. Bonus: honest and best pricing too! I will be sharing their contact information with my neighbors and for anyone reading this review, search no further.

Steve was really helpful and wiling to teach us how to take care our water heater, tank and home. Not like other company so greedy, Steve try to help us save the money and give us the good suggestion and solution. The price is really reasonable (after we had several company to get us the estimate, we know). We are so thankful Steve's work and all the help.
I called them as they're a local company. I had some questions about a tankless water heater and I explained that I was looking for some answers. That would let me plan out what I was doing and that point, I could decide on the size and price of what I wanted to do.
The person answering the phone only kept repeating what size tank I had and seemed to be hell bent on giving me the cost for each option. I'd rather they listen to my questions, prove themselves to consultative and on my side and they would have earned my business.
Very bad training from the management here. That staff don't know how to deal with customer calls is their fault.
They are a Sears installer. if you order through Sears you get the best price. talking with them directly results in price doubling. of the five or so i called they priced a new power vent gas tank at $2,300 and others from 2k-5k. Thinking most people need one right away they can get the huge markup. Not in a hurry here so ended up ordering install through Sears and the tank direct with Pacific Supply saved $1,200. For fun I called Washington Water heaters and asked just cost on same tank they marked up $900.
Shady industry right up there with windows, siding, and used cars.
This company is the real deal. Their customer service is amazing! Whenever we have needed them, they have been so nice made every effort to accommodate us and get someone out asap. They are literally a pleasure to deal with considering it's usually a pretty lousy day when they are needed. I can't speak to pricing as we have an unusual instant hot water / whole-house radiant heating system so it's not like just any company could help. When they installed the new system, there were some adjustments needed and they came out to tweak things two different times without charging us. If you're comparing quotes and they aren't the cheapest option, remember that you get what you pay for. They make up for it in service.
I have several rental properties in Everett and have used Washington Water Heaters for years with great success, whether it was a tankless water heater, bathroom remodel - new plumbing, clogged drains, faucet replacement - we even punctured a copper water pipe at 9 at night when a dart went squirrely and Tom came out to fix. They've done everything I think you can do with my properties. This recent visit was on my own 110 year old home. These homes can be tricky - we had to replace an outdoor spigot which had a not so common set up. Tom Hagar found the right parts and was in and out in a jiffy. Thanks again for the umpteenth time!

These guys ROCK.
PROBLEM: I had a tankless water heater where I was getting an error code. I tried to fix the problem with the self help tips on the manufacturers website. Unfortunately, that didn't help. So, I called the company's technical support and was told to clean some filters and the motors by disassembling the tankless water heater. I was told to follow instructions on their YouTube video and it's safe to do the self cleaning on my own without using an authorized repair person. I'm pretty handy and thought I would try it. Unfortunately, the video was not complete. It did a good job of showing how to disassemble everything but no instructions on how to put things back together properly except to mention to put it back in reverse order. One of the critical components is connection to the gas line. Needless to say, when the tankless water heater had a mini explosion, I knew that there was an issue with the gas line and I needed to call a professional to diagnose and fix the problem.
SOLUTION: That's where Len from Washington Water Heaters was a huge help. When Len came out, he was sympathetic to our situation. He diagnosed our water heater and indicated that it seems to be working properly but there might've been some internal damage that he's not able to see. In addition, he found other issues that our original water heater installer didn't do correctly - per code. At first, I was thinking that he was trying to get more money out of us but he validated each of the fixes by showing us the violations per the city code book. Len fixed these other issues. He also mentioned that he knows the exact video on YouTube that I watched to fix the water heater and knows why I experienced the problem. He took an additional step of contacting the company and worked with his manager to get us a replacement water heater at no charge. That was way above and beyond the call of duty. I'm so glad that I found Washington Water Heaters and Len. These guys have earned our trust and business going forward. They might not be cheap but you definitely get the job done right the first time. I would highly recommend these guys!!
We had a mixing valve go bad on our 6 year old Eternal tankless. Bummer. I found out that Eternal has left the building and is no longer in business. Double bummer. I called WWH and they had the necessary part on their truck. Steve came over (when he should have been going home) and did a great job fixing the tank. We had been without hot water for 2 days, due to the weekend and are very thankful that this company could provide what we needed on such short notice. This is my go-to company. Thank you Steve!
Had a hot water heater installed was quoted a reasonable price after they did the installation we were surprised with overcharged items such as a hot water heater pan. They did not tell us that it was going to be $129 for a hot water heater pan where I have purchased them several times in the past for as little as $20 the price for hot water heater pans can range from &20 - $40 do not trust this company.

Requested a quote for a new water heater (slow leak on 14 year old unit) via Yelp on Easter Sunday evening and Steve called within 5 minutes. He provided the quote and we set up an appointment for the next day. We texted a few questions and answers later as well. Tom arrived on time for the appointment, finished in about 70 minutes, answered all of my questions and the install of the new water heater was excellent and clean. The estimate was right on though I added a drip pan as well. My experience was outstanding and I heartily recommend them. Thanks Steve and Tom!
We called Washington Water Heaters because they were the number on the sticker attached to one of the two water heaters we have in the home we just purchased in S. Bellevue. When we moved in to the house, half of the house was not getting hot water, and with 2 kids, it was important to get it fixed quickly.
Jordan from WWH was here the same day that we called. It turned out that one of our heaters had a major leak and had to be replaced. Jordan showed us all the failure points of the heater and walked us through all of our options and didn't try to up sell us to something we didn't need. After installing the new heater first thing the following day, we still didn't have hot water! Jordan came back to take a look and it turned out that there was an additional electrical issue, totally unrelated to the water heater. Jordan did some troubleshooting until he found the issue and fixed it with no additional charge saving us having to call and electrician and lots of $$. I would confidently recommend Washington Water Heaters and would specifically like to call out Jordan for his amazing customer service and willingness to go the extra mile.

We had an issue with the hydronic furnace heating system (AquaTherm furnace by First Co.) in our condo and when I asked around, Steve was the one who was most helpful. We talked on the phone and he explained me what my problem was and how to resolve it. I was confident that he knew what he was talking about and he could help me get the heating work again. I needed to purge the system of the air bubbles so that the furnace pump could start pumping the hot water and furnace would warm up the air properly.
That was a relief knowing that the earliest appointments I found were several days away and that meant to manage without heat in the middle of the winter! Steve promised to stop by the following day.
Steve's colleague Len visited me (came at 3pm as promised!), fixed the issue, and explained how the air purging is done properly. Now I know what to do next time!
I really appreciate Steve and Len's help on their busy schedule and would recommend their service!

Had a great install by this company.
We called and ordered from Sears and guy who showed up was excellent, efficient, and his rates for the bit of extra plumbing needed to fix an old home-owner special(ie done but not very well) was fair and well worth it. For the inquisitive sorts out there, it was $100 more than quoted by Sears who of course never saw the pipes as they were and who fairly warned me that if any additional work was needed once the installer for there, it would be discussed before the work commenced.
I have already recommended my folks to this company and they are getting a larger water heater installed soon. Wish I remembered the guys name who visited us, he was great.
When I contacted Washington Water Heaters on a Saturday morning for a leaking water heater, I didn't expect we can still get hot water at that night. James and Steve came out to replace our 13 years old heat water with a new one on a 4 feet platform in less than 3 hours. Their speedy and professional service make our kids can have a hot bathtub tonight. Highly recommend their service.
Washington Water Heaters provided a great experience. I have been having hot water issues for some time and had to turn on my heater to get enough hot water in the house. I contacted Kings Heating since they previously provided service and they said everything was ok but I never had to turn on the heat. I contacted Steve through Yelp and right away he recognized I had a power vent system (what? not idea for me) and that my water was very old, he came out, gave a bid on the work and Tom was out in a few days to replace the water heater. Both Steve and Tom were very professional and friendly. Steve explained our options for quick interim fix to replace a valve and the long term to replace the water heater and associated costs. The bid was accurate, there were no additional costs after work was done as some other reviews had noted. The work was completed in 2 hours and Tom walked us through the work as well. Easy peasy. Very good experience, definitely would recommend. Hopefully won't need to call them anytime soon, but would use them again without a doubt.
Jordan from WA Water Heaters installed a water heater at my place a while back. He was courteous and thoroughly professional and left me his card. So when my HVAC starting giving me issues, I gave these guys a call and asked for Jordan. I was able to get an appointment the very next day.
Jordan serviced my HVAC in a jiffy and then went above and beyond and reset my fireplace insert for no fee. Not only is my whole home warm but the fireplace is back! I know who I'm calling for when I get another issue or my HVAC finally needs to get replaced. Highly recommended. In fact, ask for Jordan when you call this company.
After five estimates to install a new hot water heater, we discovered Washington Water Heaters, and are so glad we did. Their staff is professional and knowledgeable. We have a hydronic system, and Len had to walk up three flights of stairs to our condo. The water heater was installed in a timely manner. We highly recommend Washington Water Heaters.
Called on Saturday Night at 900Tom called right away and helped me big time!! Got my hot water working. No other company called me back on Saturday!! I will always use them!
My water heater started acting erratic and I had to reset it each time to get it to work. This opportunity allowed me time to do a lot of research. I must have called 10 to 15 companies asking about service and warranties. Some companies would not honor warranties. Some others would only replace tanks and others would charge $200 or more just to come out.
I liked Washington Water Heaters the best and went down to visit them. In that way I could get a feel for their competence and reliability. They had several service trucks stocked full of parts, and after talking with a few of the employees I decided that they were the ones to do business with. The basic visit was $129 and they said that there was a good chance they could fix the unit then and there. The service man came, diagnosed the problem and replaced the thermostat in about 30 minutes. He charged $50 for his labor plus the $129 for the basic visit, just as I was quoted. All new parts were covered under warranty. This is a great company and I would do business with them anytime.

We are pleased with our new water heater and service from Washington Water Heaters. Our water heater blew and I received 3 quotes from different companies, which were all around the same $$, with the exception of an inflated quote from Aurora Plumbing. Our WWH tech Len was wonderful. This company is fair and honest and I would use them again AND recommend them to my friends and neighbors.

Washington Water Heaters is awesome. Our water heater broke and called another company out and received an extremely high quote and couldn't do the work until the next day. I called Washington Water Heaters and they came out within a few hours with a replacement unit for less than HALF the price of the other company. Unbelievable. Tom and Steve were a pleasure to work with during the replacement and we couldn't be happier. Thank you guys and I'd recommend you to anyone.

Both Len and Steve from Washington Water Heaters came to do a dual hot water heater install at my home. They were respectful towards the home, laying down drop cloths and promptly cleaning any small drippings that happened. Len was very friendly, happily explaining each installation step along the way. Bottom line, their quote was reasonable, the quality of work was excellent, and customer service was outstanding. Thanks Washington Water Heaters.

I just had Len from Washington Water Heaters leave my house after installing a new heater for me, and I have to say that my experience was completely different than the previous review here. Not only was he prompt, but he was actually 30 minutes early, which worked great for me. The total installation, inspection, and hauling away of my old heater took just about an hour. A few pipes had to be replaced and I was sure that they'd quote me an arm and a leg, but surprisingly, they were $29 and what I'd consider to be very reasonably priced. He didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need, he cleaned up what little mess was made, and he gave me a referral to an electrician once he discovered a different problem on my electrical panel. I feel as though all in all, the experience was better than any other installation/plumbing/electrical house call I've had in the past, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company to anyone. Thanks again!

We were having continual problems with our Nortiz boiler/water heater that was suggested to be replaced only after 6 years of use . this was a new system with more than annual service. The technician that came out was friendly, efficient, and on time and figured out what was wrong and gave suggestions for our next maintenance to keep it running smoothly. He was knowledgeable about how the system works and it saved us thousands of dollars. I never realized how important it is to get a factory certified technician, and we will be having them do our annual maintenance for now on.
GOOD: Responded quickly (same day service), personable staff
BAD: They called to tell me me that water heater was completely dead and that I would need to buy a new one. After I mentioned that my existing water heater was under warranty, the service guy suddenly figured out that the issue was just a bad sensor. He told my tenant that he should have thought to check that out first.
In spite of this, they charged me for the time spent diagnosing the problem even though I was told that the $189 site visit charge included time for trouble-shooting and that I would be provided an estimate for repair labour and parts before they started the repair. No such estimate was provided.
I'm extremely happy that they fixed my water heater the same day I called. I'm very disappointed that they violated my trust.
It is correct that they offered to reschedule but not later that day because the person on the phone didn't know and couldn't find out how long the meeting would go. I called at 12:30 for a 12:00 pm appointment and was told the meeting had been going on since 8:00 am. She simply said I could reschedule it. I declined because I had already taken time off from work for this appointment, over 2 hrs of wasted time, and time off to meet two other contractors, both of whom were on time. I wasn't going to take anymore time off from work and risk Washington Water Heaters again being a no-show and settled on 2 instead of 3 estimates. When a customer calls to get an estimate for work and the guy doesn't show up, who is going to reschedule?
There are very few companies that I bother to review. Washington Water Heaters is one of the good guys. The after installation service is excellent. We have had them install two tankless water heaters, a furnace and A/C unit. We really appreciate that they are will to go the extra mile. We highly recommend this group.
Washington Water Heaters has worked hard to give us top quality service. The tankless unit they originally installed never seemed to work right so they spent a great deal of time trying to figure out what was wrong and finally just swapped the unit out with a better one. Other positive things about them are that they arrive when they say they will, call back promptly when necessary, and always seem to have everything they need to do the job. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
A very unprofessional company to be honest I these 5 star reviews have to be fake with the experiences I've had.

Tom and the guys helped me out in a tight spot one cold winter day. Our furnace took a poop and they were able to get it back up and running with an inexpensive fix. Other companies wanted to replace the whole unit. Another local company even came out and said it needed to be replaced. WWH was sure it was just a controller, replaced it, and viola, it is still working to this day.
Yesterday around noon we noticed that our hot water heater was leaking. I called a few contacts asking if anyone knew a company they could recommend. As it happens, our neighbors had replaced their tank not too long ago and after doing quite a bit of research they had gone with Washington Water Heaters and had been very pleased. Since we were definitely at risk for a major mess, we decided to rely on their recommendation and call WWH. I called about 12:40 pm and by 6:30 pm that same day we had a new tank installed. We couldn't have been more pleased with their service. The installer, James, was great. He was very knowledgeable and gave us excellent advice on whether to go with a traditional unit or a tankless model. He was concerned about our needs and in making sure they were met. He also did what he could to keep costs down. We are very satisfied with this company and do not hesitate to recommend it.

Absolutely outstanding in every way! You simply cannot find better customer service, prices, or quality of work, we were beyond impressed! They answered the phone on the very first ring, were extremely informative and friendly! Boy do you have the right people on the phones both Jeff and Jackie were just wonderful every step of the way. I had no idea what I was talking about when I called and your staff walked me through it all in a very informative but non-condescending way. It would have been easy to take advantage of the situation but they were a class act all the way and even had the best and most upfront prices around! When the technician scheduled to do our job called in sick, the OWNER Tom came out and did the job so they wouldn't have to inconvenience us with a reschedule! NOW THAT IS SERVICE! WOW! I'll say it again, backwards this time WOW! We were blown away with how quickly they had us up and running again and believe it or not the quote was the same before and after the job was completed! Unheard of! We are so grateful we found your company and will sharing your outstanding work will everyone we know! Thank you so much!!

I was really impressed with Washington Water Heaters. My water heater was leaking, I was super stressed out, I called this company and these guys had it all fixed before noon that day! Great pricing, super friendly and on time. Huge relief!
Water heater died late last night -- lots of leaking. I called this morning and got a quick response. Steve was over to my house by 11:00 this morning to take a look. He was awesome. He gave us lots of options of what we could do -- new tank, tankless, tankless outside, etc. He was very informative and my wife and I felt like he was just laying the options out on the table -- no sales or anything. He had some other work already scheduled for the work day but said he could come back later tonight and install it. Which he did -- staying until 8:30 PM to get the job done which we really appreciated b/c no hot water for a large family is an inconvenience. Price was very reasonable. I'd called some other companies this morning and they quoted me up to $1800 just to replace. Washington charged just around $1100. Plus, they are local, not a chain, with a bunch of marketing overhead, which is nice.
My water heater was leaking and I got 3 bids that ranged from $1800-$3000. Washington Water Heaters came down a little to beat the lower bid. They were great to work with and came out to view my installation first so I could get a firm bid. I appreciated that they were on-time for the estimate and install. I would recommend them and use them again.
Friendly and professional service for our leaking water heater. Definitely would recommend.

Tom and Len of Washington Water Heaters are absolutely the best. They initially installed my tankless Rinnai about 7 years ago and had a great experience. The unit was nicely installed and has worked flawlessly since... Recently the Rinnai started to give a error code (14) which ultimately caused the system to shut off now and then. I must admit, the thought of having to replace the unit made me stress a bit. Given I had no choice of living without hot water I called the folk of Washington Water Heaters. I figure why not use the folks that initially installed the unit. They came out the next day and showed up promptly which is greatly appreciated. Len explained the possible cause of the error code. Turns out, it needed a deep cleaning (lack of technical reference I'm sure). In the end the unit is back in business with no error codes and the cost was not as bad as I originally envisioned. Overall, I'm extremely happy with the folks of Washington Water Heaters.
