Called Sam from Green T to fix our toilet and he was fast, courteous and wiling to do anything else (plumbing wise) around the house we thought we might need because he did the job so quickly - he wanted to make sure we got our money's worth. Great work and service.

Of course - no one wants to have a situation where they call a plumber, but if I do again I will call Green T with no hesitation. Highly recommend!

I found Sam in the Chinook Book, and was excited to get a discount to fix my leaking toilets. I read the other Yelp reviews about his many problems, but I thought, a leaky toilet is a relatively small job, (fixing a leaking toilet is like Plumbing 101 right?).

Sam seems so friendly at first--and he convinced me he knew what he was doing. But, $350 later, my toilets were not fixed at all. Sam agreed to come over to re-fix and actually did stop by again to state that he knew what he needed to do, and that he would order more parts and fix the toilets.

But, since then, I have not been able to reach him. I have called and emailed him at least once a day for a month. I even used different phone numbers--but he did not answer his phone or emails--ever.

It is also important to know that Sam is not verified by the state to do plumbing work. Like TM said, this can be verified by going to the state website (secure.lni.wa.gov/verify) and typing in Green T. I have also posted a screenshot from the website.

No call back. No response to email. Hours says they open on Saturday, today is monday. Started with this business cause it's near my home, and the great reviews on yelp, but the clogged kitchen sink couldn't wait so my wife schedule a rooter company. If a business is not open during stated hours, I think they should change their hours online. Maybe next time

Update 1/21/13- Got a thoughtful email by Sam owning up to the lack of communication. Many business don't care about that stuff, but he obviously wants to better his business by being upfront and owning up to dropping the ball. Good business practices and still in my neighborhood, I haven't given up on them but I hope don't have plumbing issues in the near future!

The day before Thanksgiving our shower clogged and the toilets overflowed. We called Sam and he was at our house in an hour. He fixed the shower problem before the mother in-law arrived and as extra he re-adjusted our bathroom faucets for fun. Thanksgiving was saved!

In our own house we have had him review installing new plumbing for a basement bathroom. He recommended a different path which was less expensive and more time effective. Very few people in this field will go out of their way to provide friendly service and help you save a few extra bucks in the process.

We were so overwhelmed by his service and his expertise that we have since recommended him to many of our Team Diva Real Estate clients and friends. They all adore Sam and his team at Green-T Plumbing!

Quick response, super friendly and professional.

I called on a Friday morning, Sam came in the same day at 10 AM and our kitchen sink plumbing problem was fixed by 11 AM the same day! Couldn't have asked for quicker or better service really. HIghly recommended.

I am VERY happy. Sam is a down to earth and honest kinda guy. Sam discovered that what I had thought was a problem with my toilet was actually a problem with my shower drain, costing $20 instead of $100 (YAY!). I also showed him a loose toilet in the other bathroom, and he was worried about a bad flange (which involves breaking into the downstairs ceiling and replacing the end of the pipe (YIKE$$$) - but after investigating, he was also able to repair for around $100 instead of thousands.

Five stars. And future business.

Sam also shared with me that his true love is in green plumbing - water reclaim and rainwater use as well as other interesting sounding stuff. They guy is cool. Hire him. :)

I am so happy with the service I recieved from Green T!

I called Green T Plumbing, and they were very responsive! He arrived right on time, was very polite and immediately knew how to fix my shower and leaky toilets. I have never had a go-to plumber in the past, but I do now.

Very fair pricing, would definately call again and refer to my friends. Thank you!

I've been lax with my Yelp reviewing, and whenever I think of catching up, Sam at Green T Plumbing comes first to mind.

I've used Sam 3 times from simple jobs like clearing up clogged sink/tub, to doing an emergency Thanksgiving busted pipe repair (at a fair price, even though it was a holiday and responded FAST!) to my most recent repair, which was replacing the water pipe from my house to the street.

I have complete trust and faith in Sam's abilities, professionalism and honesty when it comes to his work. I also like that I'm not paying extra for overhead fee's, that you'd see with larger companies that pay for office space/admin staff/advertising etc.. This is evident in his price quotes. Although he's not cheap, his prices are fair and honest. His friendly wife helps with admin and it really feels like I'm supporting a local family business. One that I like.

Well I have since learned that the man who did my plumbing is in prison for a major robbery and was not actively licensed...I can only hope and pray the fix he gave me was legit. It cost $3k with another $3k to the utilities company for lost water.

YOU CAN VERIFY BY GOING TO WASHINGTON'S L & I WEBSITE AND TYPING IN THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR LIC #: GREENTP900K . YOU CAN ALSO SEE THAT HE HAS THREE DIFFERENT PARTIES WHO HAVE MADE CLAIMS AGAINST HIS BONDS.

I also wish I could give Sam negative stars. He royally botched every aspect of our job from the groundwork, to leaking drains and faucets to completely incorrectly installed radiant heating boilers.
He continuously lied about progress and often did not show up when scheduled. Sam left the job and said the heat works but the slabs were stone cold just days before new owners moved in. It's costing us in time and money and repairs. My suspicion is that he makes more money on emergency calls and speeds through his larger projects. I have had to hire a lawyer to deal with his sloppy mess. AVOID!

Not too pleased with you Mr. Green T. I called and asked you if you had a rate and you couldn't come up with a minimum rate amount! Bad for business buddy. I ended up going with one of your competitors and they quoted me exactly what I paid them. You might want to think about an hourly rate and keeping it honest...

After Green T installed our garbage disposal, it seemed we had a related problem with the water line, and the faucet would stop working while a gush of water poured out of the cabinet under our sink.

I called Green T, assuming it was the disposal installation that had gone wrong. The woman who worked the phone had Sam give me a call, and he came over the same day to take a look. Turns out the problem had to do with our faucet, not the disposal at all. He fixed the faucet and was in and out in less than 5 minutes. All on a holiday weekend just before he took off for vacation. He absolutely could have charged me for the visit because his work had not caused the water problem, but he didn't.

These guys are now my official go-to plumbers without question. A million thanks to everyone at Green T for being great.

I got an email from the owner of Green T. I must say was pleasantly surprised. Apologized for not returning my call and stated that ...I have learned from this and have hired someone to answer my phones for me.

I'll give them another chance next time I have a plumbing job.

Sam from Green T came out to replace a pressure reducing valve. After climbing under the house and explaining some options, he realized the city's main valve was stripped out and needed to be replaced (this was late on a Friday afternoon). He made the call, took care of all of it, and came back within a few days. Sam was friendly and professional on both occasions. My only complaint is that there were a few days there where I didn't hear anything. Not a big deal, and I'd give 4.5 stars if I could. Thanks Sam.

Had so many issues with my kitchen sink faucet, dishwasher, etc... plumbing underneath was poorly planned and built by previous owner... Sam came over, gave reasonable prices, fixed everything under the sun with stellar quality, and got me back up and running in a few hours. Only company I'll go back to ever for plumbing needs. HIGHLY recommend.

Fantastic service! I left a message on their website, at 6am Monday morning, and within about half an hour they called back and I had a plumber here by nine the same day. They replaced my twenty year old water heater with a new one and were done by onepm. Extremely nice and very patient with all my questions. The price quoted at the beginning was exactly what I paid, no surprise extras.

Will definitely be using this company from now on.

Update October 2013: Hot water went bust right when my in-laws came. Called Sam and he was able to come over asap. After working for a while on the problem with no result, he determined it was an electrical problem and put me in touch with an electrician. Even though he'd been working with three other guys for about an hour, he didn't charge us as he hadn't fixed the problem. Thanks GreenT!

Update 3/2/14: Well, I guess I shouldn't be surprised as I just read more recent Yelpers than me, but I was disappointed that after emailing several times I have had no response. Glad it isn't just me and I'll be looking for someone else. Bumped down to four stars.

Sam is the MAN. He did a great job changing out our toilet and bathroom sink with major attention to detail and customer satisfaction. PLUS: I love how you can text or email him a photo of your plumbing issue and he'll give you a round quote just from that and without having to come out!. I worked with both Sam and Cesal from Green T plumbing and they rock. I was most happy with the quality of their work. We started with small issues (clogged sink, toilet pump) that needed fixing and I was so impressed with how they guaranteed their work; a small piece broke and they came back and replaced it at no cost. We then hired them again to replace our water heater because we fully trusted their opinion and work, and it works great now, we have enough hot water heater for all our needs, including with guests at home. I highly recommend Green T plumbing and will hire them again.

Worries about plumbing can keep a girl up at night. I decided it was time to look fear in the face and I found Sam here on Yelp and gave him a call. He was responsive, scheduled me right away and was very communicative about his timing and what to expect. Plus, he gave me good advice that didn't drive me to my secret stash of poverty tuna. My general contractor hired Sam for my new home construction. There has been on and off schedule problem but overall I was pleased with his service as he seemed very nice and promised a good service on warranty on any issue that may come up. Then 7 months afterI moved into the house, the water boiler stopped working twice. We notified Sam of the issue via numerous calls and email, he simply ignored my requests, no call back, no response to email. The only one time that I got through the phone with him, he hung up on me. Our house was without hot water and heat for over 2 weeks. We finally hired the boiler manufacturer to inspect the unit, turns the unit was incorrectly installed, a major component is missed even though it's clearly stated in the installation menu. The unit was overheated and had a minor explosion. Thankfully the system shut down automactically and did not burn down my entire house! We had to pay over $6000 to buy a brand new unit (no warranty from manufactuer due to installation issue) and reinstall the unit. Not only did Sam performe very sloppy work that caused fire hazard to my house, he also failed to stand behind his workmanship and warranty terms. I am very disapointed at Green T plumbing's unprofessional way of conducting business. I am posting the pictures of the damage unit from the inspection report for your reference.

I had Sam out to give me a quote on replumbing our house. He showed up on time, walked through the house with me, then said he'd get a quote back to me within a few days. I didn't hear anything for a week, so I reached out. No response. I tried again, no response. He was a waste of time.

Had a leak in tenant's basement, and a $1000 water/sewer bill running up. Took Sam Harris and tenant a week to get scheduled, then Sam didn't show up. He has not returned phone messages or e-mail. Tenant's water has since been shut off by SPU. Situation has gone from bad to worse. If a plumber doesn't have time to deal with an urgent situation, he should make that clear from the start.

Sadly, Sam's license is indeed suspended, through most of 2013. My experience was better... Green T were all completely professional, though sometimes difficult to reach (the listed number does not ring a cell phone, but they did call back eventually). Sam and associate not only repaired a sudden side-sewer collapse quickly and professionally, he had to clean up Bob Oates' nasty mess (and deal with my pissed off tenant directly, when Oates left a locked exterior door open overnight, and a giant mess of sewage)...comparatively, Green T was a dream, showed real concern for my tenant and my predicament, coordinated the professional carpet and house cleaners made necessary by Oates, and will get my business again. I just hope he makes good with his Bond Co and the State of WA first.

Sam is one of the most honest people I've ever met and a sweetheart to boot. He came to two different rentals of ours that recently had plumbing issues. The first was for what turned out to be a major sewer line problem that Sam referred someone else to us who had the proper equipment (we had a break in the line) and did not charge us for his time. We were so pleased with his honesty that we called him a few days later when a garbage disposal at another property broke. Sam was able to fix it and again generously did not charge us for his time, saying it was a quick fix. We will always, always have Green T plumbing at the top of our call list for any and all plumbing issues- for a landlord it is like gold to have a company like them on your team.

Last year I hired Green T Plumbing to do three different jobs around the house - they replaced a sink, put in new pipes, and installed a pressure valve. I thought Sam was a nice guy and the work seemed okay. It wasn't great work. The bathroom flooded when the sink was being replaced and some water stained my hardwood floors in the hallway. Then, when Green T came back to replace pipes the work ended up delaying other workers I had hired to do a drywall installation because the pipes leaked and needed fixing not just once, but two days in a row. I was nice about the delays and Sam, the owner, told me he wanted to thank me by offering to come out for free the next time I needed a plumbing favor. I thought that was very nice of him. The trouble is that I've called him on two different occasions to see if I could get a hand, once with a leaky sink, and once when I heard a dripping noise in the wall. The first time I called he said he was out of town and would have his helper call me. His helper never called. The second time I called and left two messages asking for help, I even said I would gladly pay because I was concerned about a leak, and I never got a call back. I'm leaving this review today because my bathtub is clogged, and I don't even want to bother leaving a message for Sam. I need a new plumber. I can't recommend Green T Plumbing. They're pretty awful, really.
