Collier Plumber

Brent and his team help to replace the sump pump of our 4-unit townhome community. We do not have HOA thus need to take care of it ourselves, and had to find 3 service companies to check.

The sump comes with a tank alert monitor, and the pump is float operated. The first company showed up charging 350 just to diagnose, and not even able to confirm if it's pump broken or wiring problem. The second company also claimed not able to handle the electrical part in the pit, and suggested Collier.

Brent's team arrived sharp on time, and competed the work perfectly and efficiently. He is really familiar with wiring work and reconnect everything just in sec. Also the new pump is slightly larger than the old one thus the pipe needs to be cut shorter to fit. Brent also just made it in 1 shot. Their proficiency is no doubt to me. Most importantly, the price is very reasonable.

Really happy to have Collier helping out and won't hesitate to recommend them.

I've hired Collier Plumber for a few jobs over the years, and Brent and team are always on time, get the job done right, and a much better value than some of the other companies that you see around town (celebrity sponsors and billboards are expensive).  Last week, my hot water recirculation pump stopped working, and after setting up an appointment for them to fix it, Brent called me and walked me through how to flush the valve myself. Probably saved me a few hundred $$ and I definitely appreciate him taking the time to walk me through it over the phone vs. coming out and and charging me for the visit.  I would 100% recommend Collier.

We have been with Collier for 6 years and the above is my summary of our experience with them.

I had a dripping shower head and needed the cartridge replaced, ideally before an upcoming trip. Collier was incredibly flexible about scheduling and also showed me how to turn the water off at the shower head (integral shutoff valve). They take pride in their service and enjoy what they do and it shows.

The city of Seattle plumbing inspector informed me that my bathroom remodel was not up to code (somebody else's work NOT Collier Plumbing) and would not pass inspection.  The inspector then suggested I get in touch with a knowledgeable Seattle plumber to fix the substandard work that had been done.  I was getting ready to sell the property and had a problem on my hand.
 
That problem led me to call Collier Plumbing.  Mike (Owner/father) came out and looked at the job.  Based on the information I had given him, Mike was able to identify the city plumbing inspector by name.  I was extremely impressed (slightly stunned actually), as I had been intentionally vague regarding the identity of the city inspector!  Following his own inspection Mike was able to identify all the significant issues and presented me with an acceptable bid.

Working with Collier Plumbing could not have been a better experience for me.  On the day of the job Brent (son) came out and worked like a machine.  Both of these gentlemen are absolutely masters of their craft and the regulatory environment.  My job was done on time, on budget, with minimal disruption.  As far as I was concerned by job had been handled absolutely perfectly by Collier plumbing.

My bathroom remodel passed the second inspection by the city of Seattle.  That second inspector had nothing but compliments for the work that had been done by Collier plumbing.  Soon I had the approved permit in my hand.  Collier had solved, what for me had been a MAJOR headache.

Based on my first experience with Collier Plumbing when I needed some plumbing work done on a dock in a marina I called Collier Plumbing again.  On the day of the job, I failed to show up.  I got a polite call from Brent.  Collier Plumbing didn't need anything from me other than access to the job site.  I was able to arrange for somebody else to let them on to the dock(s).  I failed to show up, when I said I would and ended up costing them time.  Mike and Brent could not have possibly been more professional or courteous despite the confusion I had caused by failing to show up and could not get there (and was up in Alaska, the job was in Seattle).

A year late or so when I needed to run a new main water supply to my home, who do you think I called?  Collier plumbing of course.  I don't even bother getting a competitive bid from anybody else.  The guys are professionals, and worth every dollar they charge.  I expect to pay for professionals, and collier plumbing DELIVERS!  I have received tremendous value for every dollar I have spent with Collier plumbing (3 separate jobs now).

Collier Plumbing has my highest recommendation!  Mike & Brent; thank you for the excellent work you have done for me.

I came home after two weeks away and found the water pressure to the upstairs was terrible and there was a leak in the basement. I got a referral from a sewer maintenance guy for Collier Plumbing, so I called and was lucky enough to get an appointment for 11:30 - 12:00 the next day. Great!  So I scheduled my entire day around this appointment and at 10:45 the day of the appointment Mike from Collier Plumbing calls and leaves a voice message saying he just got a bunch of contracts and won't be able to even come look at my job for at least a month, maybe longer. I call him back and say that it is exceptionally rude to cancel last minute and is there any way he can squeeze me into another part of his schedule and he says Nope. That's just the way it is. Your job is just too small. I can't even comment on their actual work, because Mike's just got bigger fish to fry.

You know what I hate? People who exaggerate details just to justify their story better. This guy is a grumpy plumber who apparently didn't want my business. He gave me a hard time for being late for the third time when it fact the first time was a misunderstanding and on my rescheduled appointment I was running a little behind. He called my cell once, didn't leave a message and was gone before I had a chance to say I will be there ASAP.
I don't know... maybe he is the best plumber in the city, maybe he is your dad, but I do know a little friendliest and customer service would of done wonders for his reputation with me.

Brent is knowledgeable, skilled, efficient, and easy to work with.   Brent and Collier Plumbing have great communication and follow-up.  They are reliable.  I highly recommend this family business.   I have worked with them a couple of times on different projects at my home.

Been using Collier for several years since moving to West Seattle.  Both Mike (father) and Brent (son) are exceptional businessmen - responsive, knowledgeable, prompt, friendly, professional and fair in their pricing.  I consistently feel confident in calling them for any plumbing issue I've had in my 65-year old home. Don't hesitate. In this economy it's great to know there are still good guys out there!

Albeit I had a simple plumbing problem...(one i had taken care of wrongly for years!)  BUT,  a cold call to Collier provided me with fast, enthusiastic service.  Better yet, Brent, a 3rd generation plumber for his family, was polite, informative and efficient.  Highly recommended.  Extra points for smashing name!

I have an apartment house in West Seattle and I use Collier Plumbing all the time.  I can't say anough good about this organization.  They always help me out and are always there when they say they will be.

So made an appt after a few attempts elsewhere. He even called to ask if he could come a little early. Fixed everything with the plumbing, looked at the spiget outside and explained this antisyphen (SP) system that prevents water from the hoses from being dragged into the water supply when the fire dept turns on a hydrant... which was news to me... and price was beyond fair even got 10% off for finding him on yelp!

We have used Collier Plumber for several small jobs like fixing leaky faucets.  They do good work quickly, arrive on time, and are reliable, exactly what I want from a plumber.

I met Collier Plumbers working as a property manager in West Seattle since 1998.  These are the guys I go to, always.

Have used Collier several times both at our own house and at a rental we own and we (and our tenants) have always been completely satisfied with their services. Prompt, good communication, and always fixed the problem the first time and quickly. Never late, never had a no show.
