I had a gas leak and the city shut it down fast.  The guys came looked for a way to fix it and gave me a quote. They worked for a couple of days and got it fixed. The quote they gave me was what they charged. I would use them again if needed!

Referred to them by my home warranty company. Fast, efficient, and made accurate suggestions , including recommendations to prevent further damages.

Had a kitchen faucet that needed replacement and could not find anyone without a week or two notice to come out and replace it. Called up Bill and he sent someone two days later! Replaced and installed new faucet and it's perfect. Perfect price also! I will use this company again!

The fault switch on my HVAC unit had cut off and needed to be repaired/replaced.  The original company quoted an astronomical amount for what appeared to be relatively simple job, so I set about the task of identifying someone who is trustworthy.  Thank you YELP!  I called Bill b/c of the excellent reviews and I wasn't disappointed.  Not only did he come on the same day I called, but the charge was one-third (I kid you not!) what I was quoted from the other company.  When I described the problem, he knew what I was talking about immediately, so I knew I found the right man for the job.  He agreed to pick up the replacement part, although it wasn't a certainty that it would be needed.  He and his associate, Morris, thoroughly tested the part and confirmed the fault switch was, in fact, cutting off.  As a result, he replaced the part and, again, tested it thoroughly to ensure it was fully functioning.  He also explained what to do in the event the system got clogged.  However, given how professional, courteous, reasonably-priced and down-right nice Bill is... I'll just give him a call if there's ever a problem.

On the Sunday of the Labor Day weekend we lost our air conditioning. We figured we wouldn't see anyone before Tuesday, but after reading the reviews we gave Tidewater Plumbing a call. Not only did they answer the phone, but in less than six hours they were out, diagnosed the problem and had it fixed. We can't recommend Tidewater Plumbing enough- thank you for a job well done!

About 3 weeks ago my heat pump went out, and I called A-1 American they never showed and needless to say it was freezing/snowing at the time.  I guess they were too busy making commercials and useless magnets for the yellow pages  After 48 hours of hearing nothing from A-1 I did an internet search and found Tidewater Plumbing & Heating, the owner Mr. Martin had his son in law Morris over in less than an hour.  My heat pump was sparking and the compressor was totally shot.  Morris was able to stop the heat pump from sparking and causing a potential fire. I had a gas line, but it was never connected to the home. Mr. Martin advised me on the price, and how long the job would take.  When it came time for them to do the job, it was exactly as described.  He came with his son-in-law, and son.  They were quick and efficient, they did not leave a mess on my property.  This is a family business with honest people, Mr. Martin did not add any hidden fees or surprises as many companies do. The unit was of quality and started right up. If i'm going to spend my hard earned money I want quality work/product. I definitely recommend Tidewater Plumbing & Heating they are honest people who do quality work.

My ac went out on the first 90 degree night.  They called me back first thing in the morning and they were able to get to me the next day, amid all the other emergency calls.  They were fast, professional and inexpensive.  I would have sold a kidney to get that ac working again.  God bless you Tidewater Plumbing & Heating!

Had to install a new ac unit, Bill came checked my old unit and replaced it in one day. His company and workers are the best! They replaced my whole unit in one day. Wouldn't go to anyone else.

CALL HERE FIRST! Honest affordable plumbing. If you're looking for a plumber, you either need something fixed or you're putting something in. I needed something fixed. Short story. Had a leak from the upstairs bathroom that showed on the living room ceiling. I called other plumbers before this one and they couldn't accommodate me and I'm so glad that happened. I got ahold of Tidewater. He worked around my schedule and was able to easily find the problem and fix it. No guess work, no maybe it's this showed up, knew what was wrong and fixed it. One place quoted me $199 for the first hour of work. Tide water showed up, spent about an hour and a half, did the work and it cost less than $150.

I will forever use them as my go to after they came after hours and were so friendly! So helpful! I will refer them to anyone I know in need of service or repair!

I highly recomend this plummer. I searched the internet to find a plummer licensed to work with gas and found Bill Martin. I have a rental in Norfolk and don't even live in the state. My heater was very old. Bill could have told me anything but instead, he fixed it in one trip. The price was very reasonable. i am happy. My tenant is happy and I will definately use him again.

I called this company after desperately trying to find someone to help me with a two year old furnace that kept malfunctioning. They were the fourth company I had gone through, each company before them came up all kinds of new parts I needed to buy but none fixed the issue. I cannot say enough positive things about these guys.  They came the next day. They found the problem. They located the part and best of all- I have heat!!  Reasonably priced. Easy to deal with. I highly recommend them and will definitely call them the next time anything goes wrong w my HVAC.

Nothing but great things to say about these guys. They showed up in a timely manner, very professional and informative. They actually walked me through what was going on and how they were able to fix so if the same issue arouse again I could fix it. I highly recommend them and I know I will definitely use them again if an issue should arise.

My Mother and I had this contractor come out to service her gas furnance for the Season. We both are very pleased with the service and timely matter it was completed. Had Bill and Moris come out  to fix my A/C problem of no cooling action. The service was very professional, prompt, and fast. They carefully checked the unit for other issues and found another problem of low freon. They showed me the gauges and explained their readings before and after putting freon.
This was especially appreciated since the refrigerant is considerable addition to the total cost.
While being very efficient in their work, they didn't rush and answered a couple of my general A/C question and mentioned what to watch out for as freon leaks.
The price was very reasonable and for such a professional service I was happy to pay. Will definitely call on this business should I have other problems in their area of expertise. Thanks much, Bill and Moris!

After a $29 check up from another company that I'll call Real Shady A$$holes, I was faced with $8200 full system replacement on a system that was working fine before the check up. Admittedly there were a few minor issues however that's besides the point. I searched yelp and found tidewater so gave them a call to see what that same Check up would cost. Bill told me he wouldn't charge me anything. Within the hour he was at my house. 15 mins later all of my minor issues were solved with no parts replaced and still no charge! What a phenomenal experience and I'll never need to search for another hvac company again!

These guys are amazing!  They found the source of my leak in no time, and after two other plumbers were unable to do so!! And they are more than reasonably priced.  Thank you, Tidewater Plumbing!!!

Responsive! Professional! Extremely thorough!!! Found several issues, by checking all possible problems first.  They found a leak as well, and fixed all issues as they went along, but always kept open communication with what they found and how they fixed it.  They worked 6.5hrs, but complete the job!

Appreciate their service so much! Will be calling again, but hopefully not for a very long time.

Military Friendly!
My daughter is young, in the Navy, lives alone, and a brand new home owner. She had some blockage that prevented her from flushing toilets, using washer, etc. The rest of her family is in Florida. Scheduling and making phone calls is difficult for her on work and duty days.

I initially called another business who ranked high in google reviews. Explaining what was going on and the fact my daughter was on duty, I was trying to have someone schedule a specific appt for the next day. The person on the phone asked who the home owner was and would not assist me because my daughter was. I explained the situation again and she stated they have to get permission from the homeowner and discuss fees. I inquired about provisions for military and she offered no help so they were not for us.

I then called Tidewater. After explaining everything, Mr Martin asked if we had called the city. We know nothing about dealing with the city as we've always been on well water. He let me know that if the blockage is on the city side, they will fix it for free. If it wasn't on their side, he could help us. He even looked up the number for me to call. After it took the city two days to come out, we called Mr Martin back and set up a Friday appt.

He showed up on time with his son and another worker and resolved the issue quickly. My daughter was completely happy and comfortable with them. He took the time to tell her what to get to wrap her exterior pipes and cover her crawl space. Because they also handle A/C and heat issues, she spoke to him about some heating, water pressure and water heater issues. They never made her feel like they were in a rush to get out of there. The cost for their time was very reasonable and less than we'd imagined.

My daughter will be having them come out as soon as she can to assess some of those other issues she has. So happy to have found a trustworthy business for her to deal with since we aren't there to help her.
