Bobby & Brian the owners of Norfolk Air came to our home, evaluated the unit and our situation. They went out of their way to make things right for us. Yes, there had been a communication issue, but the team owned up to the mishap, took the right steps and followed through on replacing our compressor. They even went a step further and worked on a humidifier they they thought had an issue as well. We were very impressed with their professionalism and would definitely call on Norfolk Air in the future!

Original Review..
Three visits, three different technicians, no fix. The first technician , Chris came out on 9/25/19. He tested our unit and said we likely had a water coil leak and recommended a sales person for a new unit because a repair is approximately $4k. He said they were slow at the time so we would have bargaining power. We had another contractor look at the unit on 9/26. He stated the compressor was shot. My husband called Brandon, the manager at Norfolk Air. He said he would send a different tech out. Nate came on 9/27 and concurred that the compressor was shot due to a poor installation. He asked who installed it. Norfolk Air did. He called Brandon back and said that it was a bad install. He also sent Chris a message while he was here playfully giving him a hard time for not finding the issue. Brandon agreed this was under warranty, as the install was done in November by Wade who was since fired from the company. The compressor was ordered and today, 10/1 the third tech, Jake came out to replace the compressor. He proceeded to remove the refrigerant which he said is standard practice before replacing the compressor. He said there was a small amount of water in the line, which indicates a leak. He showed me a picture of one very small water bubble. He said that indicated a water coil leak. He said to prove it to me he would cut the lower line and water would leak out. Nothing happened when he cut the line. He tried to bend it so water would come out, but said he was not strong enough to do it. He called Brandon back who said that since there is a water leak, the compressor would not be covered under warranty and there is nothing they can do.
No proving of a water leak, no repaired compressor, and the kicker is that Jake did not fix the line he cut. When I called Brandon to state this, he said it does not matter because any company who repairs it for you would have cut the line. So now I have a unit that does not work and I will have to pay another company to fix something that Norfolk Air is responsible for damaging with no regard for what they did. I am shocked there are so many positive reviews for Norfolk Air. Perhaps it is because they email everyone asking for a positive review and offer a $25 donation to the charity of your choice. Their website states they operate with integrity and trust. I find none of this to be true. I am waiting for a call back from the Owner.
