Just no. If you don't have an issue, they will take their time and create one. Had to come back and fix what they changed, and then charged another service call fee. Ugh. Anyone but them.

As I stepped into a puddle in my garage I realized our hot water heater had decided to take a permanent vacation.  We went to our favorite boxed do-it store and ordered a new one to include installation.  When it arrived the next day the installers looked at our set-up  with very confused expressions.  We had a standard heater with a venting fan attached which vented under the bedroom window.  They said we had ordered the wrong type and we were going to die from the co2, well, something like that.  They packed it up and left, promising a full refund.

A call to Discount Plumbing sent out a team of two, which ended up being a team of four.  Our vents were rerouted, our gas heater was replaced with the correct updated water heater and it passed inspection with no problems.  All in a days work. These guys were extremely professional and the invoice was in the ball park that we expected, no surprises.  Nice job!

I've used Mike/Discount Plumbing twice in the last year -- first time to repair leaking pipes in my kitchen sink, and recently to fix/replace my shower valve. Both times, they were ON TIME and pleasant to work with and did a wonderful job, including pointing out some things I wasn't aware of. They were respectful of my time and property.
Especially Jorge with my shower valve replacement. The job turned out to be more than a simple repair due to the age of the shower valve (1970's - 1980's vintage). They did a lovely job, and the pricing was more than fair.
I will use them anytime I need any plumbing work done.

I had a water leak this past Saturday at our beach house and called Discount Plumbing, Mike came out and repaired the leak ASAP! Very fast, courteous service and the bill was nominal. This was for emergency service on a weekend!  You have a problem call this company.

I was referred to discount plumbing by a builder. They came out on time and replaced plumbing in about a hour and $599 CHEAPER than atomic plumbing.

Thank you very much for a superior job. I will be sharing my fantastic experience with all my friends.

We needed a plumber asap on a cold Sunday evening here in Norfolk.  I called the emergency number and an answering service took my info.  Within 10 minutes the technician on call responded. Nice!  He was enroute to another service call in VB, but said he would call again when he finished and was on his way to our place.  He did!  He also informed me that we would be paying overtime (weekend/evening...understandable).  Upfront and honest, I appreciate that!  Kevin arrived on time and got right to work.  He was polite and efficient.  Our problem was resolved quickly.  We even tagged on a couple, Oh, by the way, this toilet is running, and, this shower doesn't get hot water.  Can you help us with that was well?  Three issues were resolved in about an hour.  I would use Discount Plumbing again in a heartbeat!

I called discount plumbing a month ago because my main line was backing up. The first technicians came out to snake the line (while charging me for double man-hours for a single person job). After breaking my toilet handle and then charging me for the part he had to use to fix it (toilet still runs to this day), he called it good and left.

Called them back out 2 weeks later after going in the backyard to find sewage running out of my rear clear-out pipe. Second technician ran a snake, told me it was on the city side. He told me that visit would probably be a warranty visit, since the first guy didn't get it done. He said the stoppage was on the city side. Tree roots.

I get the bill in the mail, said it would NOT be covered under warranty because of the roots. So I called the city, who proceeded to run a camera (while I was watching the screen) all the way to the main line. No roots. Water wasn't even flowing down that pipe, it's definitely on my side.

Call Discount Plumbing again today because it's still backing upthey contact their on-duty technician who tells me he'll come out, but he's going to charge me overtime. I explain my case, he's not willing to contact his boss or anything. Told him I'll call another company.

I'm a reasonable guy, and every technician was a nice enough person don't get me wrong. But they're not willing to back up their work in the least. I would not recommend them unless they righted this wrong for free. That won't happen though, because I'm calling someone else, being that my sewage is currently flowing into my back yard...

Only company able to get out to me within a week when my sink backed up. Very nice technician.

I found them on yelp when trying to install a water line for my fridge. My home is over 100 years old and didn't have one. I spoke with the owner who was willing to help talk me through the use of a saddle valve and advised me against it. I was quoted slightly less than $100 for them to come out and do it. Worker shows up, takes a look at it and realized it can't be done due to the placement of my appliances and my tile floor. I got a new quote of $350 for them to go under the house and give me my own water line behind the fridge. I scheduled it have it done a week later. Got it all taken care of and was contacted for payment. The only reason why I give them 4 stars is because they still charged me that $100 for when the worker came out looked at it and didn't do any work. This seems a little absurd to me as no work was done and he was only here less than 15 mins since he couldn't do what I wanted. But the worker was very professional and was here less than an hour when he came back to do the work.

(Water Heater replacements) First off, the quality of their work is absolutely five stars! They got everything installed, and carted away with nary a drop of water anywhere. They were VERY polite, professional and affordable. If that's all you wanted to know then you can't go wrong, pick up the phone and call now.

They get dinged for the same thing every single person that schedules to do work at your home gets dinged for, timing (seriously service industry get your crap together!).

The first day they had to cancel because they hadn't asked what floor I lived on during the call and didn't schedule enough people. This resulted in me losing a half day vacation. The second day, when they did show up (at the last possible minute of their first window like 11 am). They worked for an hour, then needed a part and lunch and left for about 90 minutes. When they came back they worked for another hour and done.

We love these guys! Always on time, extremely polite, very fair-minded billing, and very helpful advice. Before I moved from Miami, FL, to move in with my mom, they took excellent care of her. These are our guys for plumbing needs ALWAYS!!!

Amazing service. Albert showed up and was polite and professional. This was the second time we had used Discount Plumbing. This is, hands down, the best plumbing company in the Norfolk area.
