HISTORY

Established in 2010.
Owner Sarge Mabry has been working in Austin since 2000. Moon lighting as a recording studio technician, sound engineer and all-around studio MacGyver, he had no trouble settling down in Austin. Eventually, Mabry set out to pursue his own endeavors and, having extensive friends and connections in the Austin area, Mabry's labor-of- love business venture took off with gusto and was very quickly expanding. Now, as the driving force behind Sarge Mabry Service Company, he leads his small team with over 60 years of electrical experience. Sarge's team of electricians are as sincere as Mabry himself, Sarge Mabry Service Company takes great pride both in their work and in the satisfaction of their clients.

I texted Sarge after the ice storm that hit Austin last week. A tree fell on the power lines outside my home, so I called PEC. They told me to hire an electrician asap before power could be restored. I needed a new weather head, which attaches to the top of the conduit. Sarge responded immediately, came to my home, inspected the damage and said he would be back in the morning to do the work. He did exactly that. His workmen spent all day on the job. PEC restored power right away and all this happened in a day and a half!! The best part? Before they even started, Sarge had his workmen clear a tree that fell into my driveway so I could get my car up the driveway! I didn't ask him for that...he offered to do it! Sarge always goes the extra mile and that's what makes him so special.

We've hired Sarge for multiple projects over the years. He has installed outlets and upgraded parts of our electrical service. He is a very competent electrician with a positive attitude. We are grateful to have worked with him.

We have used Sarge Mabry on a number of occasions. Sarge is a master electrician who works for himself, so no big overhead like the larger companies. Sarge has done everything from installing ceiling fans and light fixtures to outdoor lighting and hot tub hook-ups. Sarge is great, honest and trustworthy. I wouldn't trust anyone else with our electrical needs.

Sarge is an awesome electrician! I would not use anyone else for any of my future electrical work. He did a great job installing an outlet for my car charger and fixed a few other things as well. He's a great communicator and very polite. He really cares about the work he does and he'll steer you in the right direction! I highly recommend him.

Sarge is a stand up guy. Did a ton of work for us in our recently purchased 1970's house. He is knowledgeable, responsive, and reliable. As long as I live in Austin and he is in business I'll call nobody but Sarge.

Sarge helped us remodel our kitchen lighting last week and to rewire the Kitchen Sink Junction Boxes from Hell. As should be expected, there were snags and snafus. However, through the myriad of uncontrollable issues Sarge was attentive, concerned for our happiness with the situation and always looking for ways to improve the situation each time we saw him.

I'd appreciate it if you'd let me keep Sarge as my ltitle secret so I can call him when I need him. He's a rare electrician who truly cares about his work and has great attention to detail. Please don't make him popular. Okay, do it, but only because he's amazing.

Sarge has helped me on several occasions performing electrical work on my 1960s built home. This includes a large job of upgrading service to higher capacity / coordinating with CoA for a new line drop, as well as smaller jobs such as adding a new circuit in the garage and helping install and wire up some new bathroom fans. Every time I've worked with Sarge it has been a pleasure. He's professional, offers competitive rates, works hard, and has excellent attention to small details - as if he were performing the work on his own home. I cannot recommend Sarge Mabry highly enough! It's difficult finding skilled, reliable contractors in this town - but Sarge is definitely one of them.

I had used Sarge once before for an electrical issue, but this time it was an emergency--and although he was leaving town, he scheduled one of his electricians, Mikal, to come out first thing in the morning. Mikal was great; diagnosed a problem that wasn't obvious, and took care of it promptly. They are my go-to electricians, no contest, and I highly recommend Sarge and his team.

Found Sarge on Yelp and was pleased with the service. Came out the next day and worked hard for a long time. Was knowledgeable, honest, and thorough. He was scheduled to come out a second day but had something come up (car trouble or something) so he gave us a discount for the inconvenience, which I thought was very nice. I felt his prices were VERY reasonable for the work he did. He gave us a list of the things that needed to be fixed right away for safety and the things that could wait until I had my repair budget built back up so I didn't feel like I was getting strung along to make the bill as high as possible. I would very much recommend him and hire him again.

I've used Sarge for a few jobs at some apartments that I own and he's been great. Always responds promptly, schedules things very quickly, shows up on-time, and gets the job done both quickly and correctly. I definitely recommend using his company for any electrical jobs.

I was referred to Sarge Mabry and was a little skeptical since I had not dealt with them. I looked up the Yelp reviews - it looked promising so I called them. Sarge was GREAT over the phone and arranged for Efran to come over the same day. Efran came promptly as promised, listened patiently to the problem and within no time identified the issue and fixed it. It was a relief to have hot water finally after the early morning No hot water in the house scramble. Three cheers to Sarge and Efran - you both were awesome, keep up the Good Work and Customer service! You just have a new customer for the future!

Used Sarge to replace an old fire hazard electric service box on my house, and do a lot of rewiring inside. Everyone who worked on the job was top-notch. They overcame the problems that crop up with a 50 year old house, finished quickly, and coordinated perfectly with city inspectors. It's a pleasure to have found such good people.

I hired Sarge Mabry to do a complete re-wire of my garage. This involved taking out all of the old wire, putting in all new wire, and adding lots of new plugs (very nice!). He did a great job at a reasonable price.

I cannot say enough good things about Sarge Mabry Service Company. I contacted Sarge on a Saturday afternoon about an electrical problem I was having at my home. He arrived that evening and cheerfully solved the problem. The prices were very reasonable and he stayed to answer any questions or concerns I had about my house. Sarge knows his stuff. I highly recommend Sarge Mabry Service Company. It's nice to see there are still honest, competent electricians still around town.
