Replaced (1) exterior outlet in a timely and professional manner. Afterwards, inquired about any and all electrical issues within the house. All concerns were addressed.

Over priced! Over Priced!!!

They said it would be 7k to run one 220 cable and install a sub panel. They also recommended the entire panel be replaced because it was old. That would have been 10K. Then they went on about new codes trying to scare me.

Needled to say I got the job done for under 1500.00 and yes it was done correctly and up to code.

My credit card company gave me the BS 69.00 back because they were suppose to email me their pics and quote. They never did.

This place was available and came out quickly to help me with a fan that had stopped working. The pros quick to get someone out, the tech seemed nice and knowledgeable, the cons the $69 trip fee was added onto what ever else they charged for, I thought this was waived if I hired them for the job, apparently no that just charged this for walking into my house the diagnosis was $281 to diagnose a bad switch and replace the switch a total of $350 and still the fan doesn't work so my problem was not addressed and not fixed. I asked for an estimate to replace the fan I have a new one in the box that was an additional 800 dollars so the grand total for a fan to be replaced would have cost me 1160 dollars ..... that's insane ! He was at my home about 20 min and cost my $350 and I am not sure exactly what I got for that .... Run don't walk do. Or call these thrives !

Have had many interactions over the past four years with Mr. Sparky and am very pleased with their services, especially when compared with competitors in terms of price, diagnosis and quality work.  John N. does great work, is honest and I would highly recommend him.

They came to my home because I was having an issue with one one of my can lights in my kitchen. Joshua, was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I ended up having extra work done the day he came out to ensure my kitchen plugs and switch's were up to code. I am very grateful and satisfied with everything they did.

Jeremy T. installed a led strip of lighting that sticks inside the cabinet and just makes everything glow.   The other option was to drill a spotlight into the cabinetry, but chose the gorgeous glow option and I LOVE IT!!!!!

********SCAM BUSINESS PRACTICES *****

I called this company because they had good reviews on Google and thought that would be a reliable source.  I was wrong; Mr. sparky uses deceptive practices to get more money from their clients.

I had a simple GFCI outlet not working in my garage. The technician came out and told me he needed to do an electrical diagnostic on my entire house for $389.00
I told the guy..it was one outlet and he insisted that he would require a check of the whole house.
I refused his service and was charged a call our fee of $59 for coming out to try to scam me.

I went to Home Depot and purchased a GFCI outlet for $23 and replaced it myself for $23. I now works without a problem.

I will never call this business again for anything and would not recommend these guys to anyone.

You have been warned!

**DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY**
Please see the attached invoice and cost comparison. Mister Sparky has refused to resolve this in any way and has acknowledged that they should have informed the technician that if a customer has their own material, and it is up to code, they can use the customer's material in lieu of the businesses. I have never had a company so effortlessly and egregiously screw somebody over. I had the displeasure of having service done by Mister Sparky in Houston. I received some quotes while I was in a work meeting and understood the pricing was around $1800 for the work to be performed, but upon receipt of my invoice that amount was $5365.20. I was immediately appalled, because I only had one outlet run to my garage and a GFCI circuit breaker installed. I thought there had to be a mistake. And there was! I had material provided that was not used and I was charged an ABSURD amount for the use of their own material. In addition, I was double charged for two outlets when I only had one installed. I was charged $594 x2 FOR ADDING AN OUTLET COVER. $1999 for Cable that I HAD AVAILABLE. After speaking with one of the managers, I was told I could receive a refund of $365 to cover the parts I already purchased. But, in doing so, I would have to be fine with paying over $4500 in parts they provided + labor. Absolutely not acceptable under any circumstances. To add insult to injury, the installation was not even done how I wanted. I did not want conduit to be run at all, I wanted it to be installed in the box into the house and not be an eye sore. I would never recommend this company to friends or family, but I would recommend them to someone I disliked, so they could get screwed over, too.

A breaker in our electric breaker box had been tripping out the past couple of weeks off and on several times a day.  The service Tech Michael came out and knew basically the issue just by me telling him the situation. He was really knowledgeable and showed me what he was doing why he had to do it. He followed all current social distancing guidelines when at our house.

Thanks Michael! Thank you Mr. Sparky!

Although the electrician did his job, he told me that a whole home surge protector was required per building code. Though I found on another electrical companies website that there is no such code. So I would have to say this company is lying to get you to buy a $470 upgrade you are not required to have. That's very sad that they have to be dishonest.

I had an outlet in my bedroom that would stop working periodically. Mr Sparky sent their technician. He tried to sell me thousands of dollars of unneeded services. He showed me a picture of a rusted screw in the yard and claim the house needs new grounding (he thinks I'm too dumb to tell a rusted steel screw from copper wire that won't rust). Then he told me if one outlet doesn't work, we might as well replace all the outlets in the house for $11,000 since they might give out also. That's like saying if you have one cavity, you should pull all your teeth since they might get cavities also... I politely refused these added services, but gave in to their $550 charge to replace one wall outlet.

Fast forward a couple of months, and the one outlet they fixed wouldn't work again. Supposedly, their work comes with a warranty, so I asked that they look at the outlet again.  The same technician came, again trying to sell me on thousands of dollars of unneeded items, and finally quoted me $550 to replace the outlet again, refusing to cover it under warranty. I refused this time. I shut off the fuse, opened the outlet, found one loose screw, tightened it and never had an issue since.

So if you want to be ripped off getting sloppy work and a warranty they won't honor, this is the company for you.

I will only give them 2 stars solely because they showed up quickly. My electric went out in half of our house.  I called Mr Sparky based on Google reviews. Before his arrival, I did some tests to narrow down the problem to be sure What I was told was truthful.  I found that 240 volts were going into the main breaker but only 120 was coming out.  One of the two legs coming off of that main breaker didn't have any power at all. Sure enough, Mr Sparky found the issues quickly once they arrived. I give them credit for coming out within 3 hours of first calling.

This is where the issue arose.  He said it would be $958 to change the breaker. $1200 something, to change the breaker and seal the panel box better. $4052 to change the entire panel. That seemed insane to me.  The first company I called after that, said they could change the breaker for $350.  The other company came out later that afternoon and did the job in 20 minutes for $350 total.  I will be using them for absolutely everything electrical in the future.

My original appointment with Mister Sparky was from 3-6 pm on May 5th; at the very beginning of the appointment window, I was contacted via text message advising me that an emergency had cropped up, and that my technician would be unable to make the appointment. They proposed the next day for the same time slot, which I accepted (it's quarantine, I truly have nowhere to go!). I really appreciated that they contacted me at 3:01 pm to reschedule--I would have been irritated if I was waiting around for hours and then they rescheduled. So, props to Mister Sparky for timely and considerate planning.

On the new appointment day, today, I received a text less than 1.5 hours into my window, advising me that my technician was en route, and gave me his name, employee photo, short personal bio, and a URL to track his location live (which was AWESOME!!! Allowed me to reshuffle some conference calls to make sure I was free when he was close). I received a a call/voicemail advising  me the technician's ETA, and a follow up second text reconfirming what was conveyed in the voicemail. It was definitely a human-written text, not an auto-text. Very nice touch.

My technician, Rob, was very, very knowledgeable, and communicated clearly throughout his inspection of my light fixtures. He explained what he suspected, what he was checking, what the causes were that he identified, viable solutions, the costs associated, and his recommendations. He also explained what other potential issues could present themselves, based on how the one light was installed.

During his visit, he asked about any other electrical issues he could help with while he was there (above and beyond the call of duty!). I took him up on his offer and he checked out two of my faulty under cabinet lights for me, and gave me a quote on those in addition to the work he'd already completed.

He was able to complete his work without shutting off the breaker, which would have also shut off the power to my home office and internet router... so that was great, I was able to get some work emails taken care of as he labored.

Rob used shoe covers, eye PPE, and other social distancing countermeasures. He was very considerate of my neighbors' needs when he parked the Mister Sparky van, and re-parked in my driveway at my request after I realized the garbage trucks hadn't come for my street yet.

This is the second time in 6 years that I've needed an electrician, and both times I've used Mister Sparky. I have no plans to call any other electrician for any future electrical needs.

Edit: When I booked my appointment, the lady I spoke with (Michelle, I believe) very, very clearly communicated the $59 flat trip fee. She also explained the expected price structure of the solutions that would have been available to me after the technician diagnosed my problem. Rob did precisely what Michelle explained. He showed me all of the cost components of the solutions available to me, including the cost of parts/supplies, and labor. He did all of this on the Mister Sparky iPad, and it was plain as day what I was selecting, what I was paying, and what was included in the cost. He obtained my approval twice, before work and after, along with my signature on the iPad. He also took plenty of pictures before, during, and after the work, all of which were attached to my invoice. My invoice was emailed to my email address of record within 20 minutes of his departure. All said and done, the visit took maybe an hour and a half, tops. Oh, and he cleaned up the work area after he was done! (Some insulation from the ceiling fell down while he was working, but he still tidied up. I have no issue cleaning up after work is done on my house, its my home, after all... but he showed a lot of respect for my home by cleaning up himself.) I felt I needed to add this information after I read some of the one-star reviews that used words like scam or implied that deception or up-selling was experienced. I never felt deceived, I was never unclear on pricing, I had explanation all of the steps he would take prior to beginning work, and I didn't feel pressured to do work that was not needed/wanted.

Similar experience to other one star reviewers - it appears their bread and butter is diagnostic testing that ensures they are paid up front regardless of what's actually wrong and the work it will require. They pressure you to agree to a price of $400+ for a simple diagnostic hook-up with a tracer (in my case he called it a circuit test), followed by a price that starts at $699 to fix the problem. Within seconds of announcing this, you're holding a signature pad in to authorize the signing over of your electrical soul. I refused as I had already determined it was isolated to a single wall in the house not getting power and that this was incredibly shady business practice...then called another certified electrician out and within a few minutes discovered it was a simple loose wire in a switch on the wall I noted.

On the Mr Sparky website it said they were currently waiving the $59 trip charge during Covid-19, but I paid that fee anyhow. Anyhow, would not recommend to anyone...find another electrician that's not a glorified salesman peddling hundreds of dollars of diagnostic tests.

It was a partial electricity outage at my condo, with no a/c and Trent came over and explained the whole (big story) situation that we were unfortunately in and let me just say Federal Pacific Electric and that should be enough for someone to google and find out how that company has defrauded so many people nationwide. Anyway, Trent was very helpful and efficient.
As recommended by Trent we brought the attention to our condo's HOA. With the info that Trent provided us, the HOA was quick on their feet to rectify the dire situation. My husband and I would definitely call them again if we encounter any more issues.

Like the other one star reviews what they do is an absolute and complete Scam. They showed up promptly (next day and called in advance, that is where the good ended). First you are stuck with a Service Call for them coming out that was $59.00  (not an issue with that). Tech arrived and removed a couple plug covers and check the main breaker panel. He then produces a contract for you to sign that he will do an entire house electrical review. Let me cut to the chase if you don't sign it you pay the service call, if you do sign it you are stuck paying for something you probably don't want or need.  So the invoice reads (L2) Single Circuit Test and Minor Repair (I am assuming Mr. Sparky, Mr. Fix it or whatever name they are going by One thing said Mr. Fix it the other Mr. Sparky? I am assuming they consider resetting a breaker as a Minor Repair. In a nut shell they gouged me for $464.00 to reset a tripped breaker!   Sorry but there is no other words to use but a Scam and a Rip OFF! Do not use them you have been warned!

I called them out to get a quote on having a 50amp 220 circuit run for my new hot tub and an additional 110 circuit run to the same area of my patio.  They gave a window of 2-5 and arrived around 4:30 the electrician was concerned that I acknowledge that he arrived on time, which I obliged.  He spent the next 30 minutes or so taking notes and measurements before he came back with an estimate of more than $3200.  I have had this type of work done before, albeit a few years ago and a it was $700 for the hot tub run, so this did not seem reasonable to me including inflation.

I made it clear this was an issue and he offered to remove an expensive part and let me buy it myself to save about $600 off of his bid (but not sure how much the part would have cost me).  I made it clear that this bid was not acceptable and I wanted to just pay the $49 trip charge and look for someone else.  At this point the electrician showed me a price list that indicated that starting point for a hot tub was $1760 (this is basically the problem).  I made it clear at the time that if I found another option substantially cheaper, I would be writing this review.  The electrician decided not to charge me the trip charge and left.

A woman (did not get her name) called me later that night indicating she was the owner, to let me know that a 2nd, master electrician reviewed the quote and said it was quoted correctly.  This just irritated me more as to me, this was just telling me that they want to take advantage of people with their pricing.  I hung up on her.

In the end, the next electrician I spoke to told me he charges a flat fee of $499 for the first 20 feet of the run and an additional $8 per foot beyond the first 20.  The approximate run was 60 linear feet.  40 X $8 = $320 + 499 = $819.  This was specifically for the hot tub.  I did not get a quote for the 110 circuit.

in the end, I had a 3rd electrician do the entire project for about $1300.  Note how these 2 options were going to be pretty similar in price.

I am sure that Mister Sparky would have done good work based on other reviews, and the electrician was very nice and professional but none of this makes the work worth almost 2.5 times the price charged by another qualified electrician.  The demeanor of the electrician plus his willingness to forgo the $49 trip charge (without me asking) is the reason I gave 2 stars instead of one.

Charged $35 to come, look at panel, then proceed to quote roughly $600 just to do a diagnostic that could cost up to $6k or more to repair along with hourrrrrrrs of work.

Had job done (correctly)by another licensed electrician for $300.00
Shame on Sparky and all the Ryans they have working (upselling) for them.

One of my chandelier lights went out and when I tried to replace the bulb, I somehow tripped the breaker and all of my kitchen lights went out. At that point, I realized I needed to call a professional. I am so glad I called Mister Sparky!

Amanda helped me schedule an appointment for the next day, then my plans changed, and Briana was able to change my appointment right away. Edgar came on time and was very clear about the prices upfront. He was able to diagnose the problem and explain to me in layman terms what was going on. Edgar was very helpful, and he changed some light bulbs since he had the ladder out. I would definitely use him again!

Called for service on a Sat 1/21/2017 and they did come very late in the evening the same day. My issue was a burning electric smell in my bedroom. Electrician checked the house and attic and couldn't find the source. I was willing to call it a night and pay the trip fee plus the hourly rate. He had been there 1 hour. While there - the tech informed me my smoke detectors were old and needed replacing. I stated I had ADT smoke alarms very recently installed and was not interested in replacing the original home ones. Tech continued to try and sell me on nearly $2,000 of work - none of which was related to my burning smell (which turned out to be an old dishwasher motor going bad). It's nearly midnight and this guy says he can't leave my house and stop the hourly charges until he can reach a supervisor to approve my declining of other services. I was ready to throw him out - 30 min later after I had to talk to a supervisor on his phone, he finally leaves. This company is a scam - avoid at all costs.

First time user of Mister Sparky.  Had a plug that needed replacing -- just a plug.  Guy came out, said it would be $332 to diagnose and repair the problem.  I said, excuse me? How long do you anticipate it will take to replace a plug? He says, No more than 3 hours. (seriously? 3 hours to replace a plug??)  So I say, so your telling me it will cost over $100/hour for you to replace this plug? Plus the $59 service fee?  He calls home base who suddenly decides that it would only cost $184 (including the service fee).  Wow.  $207 difference.

Your call, but personally next time I'll be reaching out to a company who shoots straight with me at the outset.

I used Mister Sparky when several lights went out during a storm. They have flexible evening hours which is nice, showed up within the promised window and were very professional. I worked with Tony Durr, after a recommendation from a friend. He was very pleasant and very informed as to how assist us. We were prepared ahead of time with how much we were going to spend and their prices were within our thoughts.

I have dealt with other companies one not even showing up to our appointment. To have them come out after only a couple of days of calling in the appoint was a nice surprise. Not to mention that if you approve the fees they'll do the work right then and there. A 7 year warranty is a nice extra as well that is included withy their services.

He spent a lot of time examining issues with our home including level of urgency or if no urgency. I definitely feel we have made a lifelong connection and intend to use Mr. Durr for other services.

This experience is a good reminder to not just pick the first company that comes up on a Google search.  I called and quizzed the person answering the phone about the cost.  To be fair, she was very up front about the $35 fee to come look at the issue and noted it would be waived if I selected them to do the work.  The technician showed up very promptly and was very well dressed and polite.  The issue with Mister Sparky is their per item pricing structure.  $115 per outlet.  The job would have taken about 30 minutes to complete and would have cost $345.  Lots of people would like to make $690 per hour, but a simple light fixture repair does not warrant that kind of expense.

Again, very prompt and up front about the visit, but I would have very much appreciated had they told me about their pricing structure.  Their employee could have avoided the wasted trip and I would have saved $35.  I understand disclosure of pricing is difficult but having asked specifically about hourly or per job pricing and not getting a direct answer should have tipped me off to not having them come out.

My wife contacted this Company and they did come out the same day and fixed the issue. As I was out of town, I received an e-receipt where the price was totally out of line, based on some inquiries that I made. When I attempted to call the person answering the call said that he was going to have a manager call me. This is day 2 and no call back.

My recommendation is to avoid.

I review quite a few businesses on Google + and Yelp predominantly and I'm a bit surprised by the couple of negative reviews here. One thing I look for are the reviewers who have done more than one or two reviews because in my business that is often (not always) a sign of a fake review. Fakes can be negative or positive.
My experience with Mr Sparky came when an employee sent me a pic of a piece of copper tubing some AC person had put in the breaker box for the Central Air and Heat on his home. (They did not use a breaker and could have burned the house down!!) The employee called Mister Sparky (In Katy) and told them the problem- they sent someone out within an hour or two and the price was fair in my opinion for the work that was done. Considering it was summer and they needed the AC, the quickness was astounding.
With the bigger companies the price will almost always be a bit higher as they have higher overhead, but they also are a bit more stringent on licensing, etc. as they have more to lose.
I would use MisterSparky just based on my employee's experience.

Do not waste your money. They quoted a $49 trip charge then NEVER disclosed any other fee while at my house, then ran my credit card for $399. So, basically it costs $399 just to find out what was wrong...not even counting the cost to repair it. That would have been nice to have known!

Then the salesman, I mean electrician, didn't seem to know what he was doing and didn't disclose how much he ran my credit card for.  I assumed it was just for the trip charge since that's the only fee ever discussed.  He said he'd have to do some research and would call me the next day with the cost.  He did not leave an invoice or receipt nor did I sign the merchant copy of the credit card receipt so I found out that he charged my card by calling their office and asking b/c I thought it was weird that he didn't leave any receipt/invoice.

This company is unethical and the technician was worse than a used car salesman... his waste of time speech about how this company is honest and upfront...total BS... HORRIBLE COMPANY!

This morning my dishwasher zapped me, so I googled an electrician, and came across Mr Sparky. William came out the same day and was able to troubleshoot my problem. It was way more expensive than I thought, but I have an old house and needed to have a ground wire put in and ground my breaker box. William is probably the most passionate electrician I've encountered. You can tell he's dedicated to his job. I felt like he was knowledgable and trustworthy.

very disappointed with service.  You have to pay for a quote and then find out that quotes are way over priced.  Will not ever call again nor recommend to any of my friends.  :(

Rick C. (their field supervisor) came out as our technician to diagnose a circuit break that caused several ceiling lights to fail.  He was very knowledgeable (he has background as a electrical engineer), professional, and friendly.  We had him come back a few weeks later to run grounds to several rooms we have electronics in that had open grounds, which required him to have to pull new circuits under the house to those locations and cut new outlets and install face plates for those outlets.  He cleaned up all the mess getting that done required (vacuumed up dust from from cutting new holes for outlets, replaced dirt he had to dig out to get under the house, etc.) and did everything very quickly.  Even had him install a panel surge protector while he was out.

In short, very satisfied and will keep Rick and Mister Sparky in mind for any future electrical issues and recommend him to others.

They're not the cheapest electricians in Houston, but they're worth it if you want a peace of mind. They walk you through their pricing schedule prior to performing the work so you know what to expect on your bill. Luckily my circuit breaker problem was somewhat minor and didn't total over $200. I would advise browsing their website for online specials before making an appointment.

Wayyyyy over priced!
I had the switch that needed to be replaced (new in packaging from Home Depot) and they refused to install it.  They wanted over $200 to install a $17 switch.  I installed it myself in 20 minutes.  Had I not been out of town I would have done it myself anyway, I think that they saw an opportunity to price gouge.

James did an excellent job in performing the work as requested.  He did recommend that we install a house wide circuit breaker to protect our high end appliances and equipment.  Since the installation and we have noticed less changes in lighting surges.
Company called shortly after James left to ensure we were satisfied with work performed.
I concurred that the pricing is higher than other company's, however, James is a master electrician and was able to quickly assess what needed to occur and discuss my options.  James was very careful while navigating through the house and cleaned up the areas worked including removing all boxes, replaced fixtures, etc.
I would recommend them.

A friend recommended Mister Sparky to me, and I was sure glad she did!  I was able to make an appointment at 5:00 for the next day, and the tech was there by 9:15.  He was very nice and found a way to get my true vintage chandelier hung despite multiple obstacles.  I will be using them again!

We needed to have a number of code related repairs corrected, as a result of an Inspection for home sale.  I called Mister Sparky and they were fast and very responsive.  Their Electrician Ross arrived at my house, very pleasant and helpful and was able to give me a quote for the work.  The work was completed perfectly and in a very timely manner.  Ross was excellent and I'd like to have him do any future work.  The total cost was approx $930.  I'd highly recommend.

Just bought a house, and had multiple random electrical issues that needed to be looked at. Rick the technician was awesomely fantastic, very knowledgeable, friendly, informative, and thorough.  He did a great job walking me through all the issues and options.

The only negative I found was the price for replacing old two prong outlets with updated GFCI outlets (almost $200/ outlet) but otherwise we will be using their services again.

Same issue as others, I wish I had read reviews more carefully (they got a B on Angie's list and that was good enough for me as i was in a rush).  I had to pay for  a diagnostic fee at $298 prior to getting any work done.  Once the work was done, it turned out that all was needed was a new GFI outlet.  Nothing more.  $298 for a GFI outlet!!!!

This review is based only on a cost estimate received from Mr. Sparky. and not on any actual work performed in our home.  We wanted a '90's kitchen box light removed and six can lights installed.  Also asked about having electric and boxes staged for two pendant lights to hang above our counter bar.  The estimate was the highest I've ever experienced - $4200.  This did not include any sheet rock/texture/painting repairs.  Literally, this is thousands of dollars higher than other estimates we've received.  So we paid the $49 trip charge and decided to move on to other companies for estimates.  For what it's worth, the electrician who came to our home was very courteous and knowledgeable.

I would recommend Mister Sparky to anyone who is in need of electrical work!!! The technician was polite, arrived on time and was very thorough with his explanations. He was willing to proceed with the work at the lowest cost and then if that didn't work he would try something else. He provided various options and even tested to ensure my smoke alarms worked- keep in mind my home is 5 years old so I was almost 100% everything would check out- thankfully it did. After he had left my kitchen lights would not come on- I called him at 9pm at night- he answered my call and was at my house the following morning at 7:58am- the breaker had flipped and I failed to reset- he was in and out within 10 minutes. I will be using Mister Sparky in every home I own. Thank you for a job well done!

We could not have asked for better service from the booking to the execution of repairs.  Lee explained everything thoroughly and professionally.  We were very pleased with the repair and service and feel safer in the home.  I would recommend Mister Sparky to everyone and will call this business again in the future.  Thank you

I contacted Mr. sparky regarding a loud buzzing sound coming from my breaker box. Clint and his apprentice Miguel not only identified and fixed the problem but Clint showed me where my home generator was needing some attention as well as how my builder had incorrectly installed the grounding rod which contributed to my breaker box issue. Clint wrote out for me exactly what the problem was so I could talk to my builder and the generator company. I will most certainly use Mr. Sparky again as well as recommend them to my friends and family.

Just had an electrical problem that I was sure was going to cost me an arm, leg and an ear. But Matthew and Ross were so pleasant that it made it seem like it would be okay. Called Mister Electric after 5 and was informed by Ross that he couldn't come out without a credit card to put in the system; but he was so nice that he told me what I could do. Get the electric co out and find out if i would even need them. Well the electric Co said it was on us. Matthew came out today and realized that it was on the electric Co. He was so nice that he actually went to bat for us against the electric Co and never said a word about my junky house. Well needless to say the electric Co came out and was fixing the problem before Matthew was even able to leave my property and I know that would not have happened if Matthew had not gotten on the phone with them and stood up for us. Yes they are on the more expensive side but with the fact that we have 7 children at home and can sleep without worrying about our house possibly catching fire from a faulty electrical system is priceless in my book.

I wanted to have my entryway light removed and a new one installed. Now, my entryway ceiling is 18 ft. high, so I knew that it would not be easy. The Mr. Sparky man came out, assessed the situation, and gave me an unbelievable quote  of $911.00!!!!! I said no thank you, and had to pay the $59.00 dispatch fee, which added insult to injury. They must have quite a racket going- I will never, ever call them, or their sister company, Benjamin Franklin Plumbing, ever again.  They are crooks!

The experience with Mister Sparky was a good one. The electrician called and told me that he was on his way and showed up within the time window. He explained in order what he was going to do. After checking the outlets the electrician came back and told me there was no problem with the outlets the home inspector had told me were out. I still asked him if he would change the GFCI outlet that the home inspector said was tripping which he gladly did. I asked the electrician a couple of electrical questions that weren't related to the outlets that I had called them about and he gladly answered my questions and gave me a few do it yourself suggestions. It was a good experience.

I've used Mister Sparky twice. Both times I got great, friendly service from professional electricians. They gave me a quote and charged me exactly what they quoted, no hidden charges.  The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because they are a bit pricy...though you do get what you pay for. If you go with a cheaper company, you may not get such great service and quality. However, I think they could do a bit better on pricing when having multiple things done at the same time. For example, I wanted to have several recessed lights replaced and they quoted a price of $199 each light, with no discount for doing 17 at one time. I decided to only have the broken light replaced rather than change all 17. Nonetheless, Mister Sparky's electricians are knowledgable about electrical codes and very friendly and courteous. I would use them again in a heartbeat and have and will continue to recommend them to my friends.

I could not have asked for better service from Justin.  Not only did he do eevrything he was supposed to do in the way of changing out my electrical panel, he also dealt with CenterPoint energy when they failed to resume the power to our house at the time they indicated they would - he did this on his own time (at 10PM!) because he didn't want us to be without light and air conditioning.  He was conscientious and helpful throughout. Very professional.  I recommend Mister Sparky highly!!

I called Mr. Sparky to review an inspection report and to provide a quote for services.  The Electrician met me at the property within the hour and was able to provide a quote right away.  The Electrician (Clint) was knowledgeable and thorough, and did not try to sell me on services that I would not need.

Jeremy came out to give us an estimate on some repairs reported in an inspection report performed on our house. He performed his own inspection for us and found other deficiencies and repairs that needed to be addressed. He took his time and was very patient and provided ample explanation of the issues that he found. I was very pleased with his service and the thoroughness of the inspection and estimate. After 2+ hours of checking and explaining and describing, we had a complete electrical inspection and it didn't cost us a dime! I feel like I'm actually starting to understand some of these electrical issues thanks to the technician and his patience. Thank you!

First time user of Mister Sparky and we were highly impressed. Our technician, Jeremy, arrived on time, was very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. He did an entire inspection of our home and was able to give us an estimate right away. He showed and described everything that was not right and informed us on what he would have to do and the time frame it would take to fix it. We would recommend Mister Sparky to anyone that needs an electrician.

Only reason not five stars is price.  They charge 59 just to reserve a 3 hours slot and a minimum of an additional $184 to fix one problem.  They repaired my light fixture which took less than 45 minutes and I was charged a total of $243.  The technician was professional and friendly and the work performed was great.  Just expensive.

This was the second time we used Mister Sparky.  As with many service providers, I am always skeptical of who is going to be showing up at my house and what level of service they can provide.  So I was pleasantly surprised the first time we used Mister Sparky as the employee conducted himself with the upmost professionalism, including providing verification of his certifications and thoroughly walking me through his initial analysis and options for going forward.  He successfully fixed this issue rather quickly (fan switch was not working...turned out to be a loose wire).  Fast forward a few years and the fan switch stops working again...I called Mister Sparky and wanted to see if they could come look at it again since they were the ones who worked on it the first time.  Without hesitation, Mister Sparky agreed to look at it and even was able to send the same individual since he would be familiar with what the issue was the first time.  Turns out it was just a busted fan (and not the outlet), but he was again, extremely professional, thorough, and helpful.  I highly recommend Mister Sparky and will continue to use them going forward.
