Mercy Plumbing has been the 4th plumbing company I've called and used since I have moved to Katy in the last year. I will never use a company or service again if I have had a bad experience with them and this applied to the 3 (SAP Services, Lindsay Company, and The Katy Plumbing Company) I've used prior to Mercy Plumbing.

I would definitely recommend Mercy Plumbing to anyone looking for a trustworthy plumber. John helped me today with a gas pipe and was very upfront about it. He offered a very simple solution to me and priced the service more than fair. It definitely saved me money compared to other plumber services I have used.

They were super responsive and communicative through the process as well after I had booked my service appointment. I would get update calls on ETA and confirmation and showed up right at the beginning of the time window. Would definitely use them again!

Could not be happier with this company. This is a family business and John, the owner, is first class all the way. He was here on a Friday even though they were extremely busy and repaired my sink and clog in no time. He also gave me tips on how to keep it clean moving forward. They were reliable, honest and professional. Highly recommend.

I understand mistakes- I don't understand unprofessional text messages. Negative reviews aren't harassment but your response is just another example of the poor attitude. You are entitled to your opinion and I am entitled to mine.
And I'm not mad you found it- I called multiple times asking you all about depositing it, wouldn't have done that is I didn't want you to get pd for the work that was done.

I have used them in the past and had good prior experiences.  They are fast to respond, friendly, and local.  However today they over charged me.  I needed 3 valves under my sink that had corroded and needed to be replaced.  They charged me $750 for this simple one hour repair.  Yelp has a $20 off coupon that I tried to use and they would NOT honor the Yelp check in coupon!!!  They told me due to COVID-19 it wasn't valid.  I will shop around for another plumber next time one is needed

Wow what a great service, I can't believe how fast and on time mercy plumbing works.

The owner of mercy plumbing came by my place quickly diagnosed the problem to my shower faucet he was very knowledgeable as well about all of the plumbing issues. Great price fast service, just a wonderful experience with him and mercy plumbing, if I ever need any service from them again you bet they will be the first to call.

Please do give them a call when you have any issues with any plumbing problems. Mercy plumbing will really respond quickly and Solved any problems you're having.

TLDR; Predatory pricing, inexperienced plumbing staff (owner's 20-year-old son and his similarly aged helper), extremely unprofessional and rude owner, and poor practices around their labor guarantees.

My first interaction with Mercy Plumbing was an emergency situation where my house was left temporarily without water due to a shower valve that needed an immediate replacement. In a desperate state, I did my best to find the highest rated plumber to come by the next morning to assess the situation. Thankfully John, the owner, answered my call at 9pm, explained the situation thoroughly along with an estimate range ($600-$900 depending on the location of the pipes he said), and promised to have a plumber out to my Sugar Land home by the morning. Great!

Next morning I'm greeted by two teenage-looking kids with a matching company shirt on, which caught me off-guard. I don't know about you, but the kind of plumbers I'd like to hire are the balding, overweight, and buttcrack-revealing archetypes who put in the time to earn their title.

Long story short, the kids wanted $900 (the high end of the estimate) and the job was done. However a month later there was a hiccup related to this particular job, and assuming it was still under warranty (which it definitely still was at the time), I spoke to John the owner to discuss having someone come out to inspect an issue that may have surfaced as a result of their work. I totally regret making that call because unlike a sane, small-business owner who stands by their guarantees John instead proceeds to be extremely rude and deflect any responsibility for the situation. Not to mention at certain points of the conversation, he went as far as insinuating that I was lying to him, which really took me aback that a business owner would stoop that low. This was ultimately over a $50 cartridge that I felt could have been resolved amicably and professionally. But in the end, I did not want to deal with the owner's behavior and ultimately ate the cost to fix it myself. So much for the guarantee.

All in all, I plan on avoiding doing business with this company and any of its  plumbers-in-training in the future.
I have no idea how they have 4.5 stars on Yelp, as I now see that the same negative themes I expressed here have also been pointed out by many others.

If you're considering Mercy, I encourage you to read the critical reviews and do your due diligence before working with such an anti-consumer company.

Never tried their service because they refused to come out to give a quote.  Instead quoting several thousand dollars without laying eyes on the project.  John spoke with my sister and was very rude, statingWell if you've had other people come out to look, why isn't it done by now. It's called getting estimates.  If this is how you represent yourself to potential customers, I'd hate to see the quality of work.

Terrible. If you like working with a dictator choose Mercy. The owner accepts no questions about his work and has a haughty attitude if you have real pertinent questions. Pick another company if you want a peaceful exchange regarding your plumbing concerns. Truly the most rude and overbearing person I have ever met.

Called them to come out for a clog in the kitchen/ washer line. Pretty standard call. They didn't offer a quote over the phone so they came on site and told me it would be $300 to snake from the cleanout valve. I said no thanks because I knew this is a common task and should not be that high. Mercy Plumbing still charged me $30 for them having to come out. Other plumbers were able to give me a quote for this over the phone or text and quoted me between $125 and $150 for this job. I ended up going with someone else.

5 Stars! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!Been looking for a plumber for some needed repairs/replacement on our 20 yo house. Called Mercy Plumbing to check out what needed to be done and how much it will cost,  and was surprise to know they do free estimates.  Who can beat that? I called 3 others but all were charging a service call fee. The day came for the service, The office kept as informed on their arrival by text or phone. They showed up on time wearing mask and shoe covers ( really appreciate that) after inspection they gave us an estimate and opportunity to haggle with the cost until we all agreed on it. Within hours they were back to start the job and finished to our satisfaction. The crew were very polite and courteous young men, and by the way they did the work somebody trained them very well. It's Good to know we have a reliable plumbing company in our neighborhood.

Lied to me about the price. Quoted one price, was given another when they came through. Then couldn't fix the issue with the pipes because of roots growing in it. Wanted to charge me $$$ for that, and if I didn't want to get that done I still had to pay $300. Owner is rude and and asshole but his employees are nice people. Feel bad for them.

This is our second time having the guys from Mercy out to our home. The first time was to repair toilets. The second time was more cosmetic, replacing our kitchen sink and faucet.  Each time they came, everyone was knowledgeable of their craft and took the time to explain each step of their work. I thought the prices were fairly reasonable each time. I would suggest scheduling on a day where you have some time.  Unfortunately with plumbing, issues can arise that may take a little longer(that's with any type of plumbing)  But you will not be disappointed!  I'm planning to make some other changes in my home and will definitely call these guys out. I feel like he tried to take advantage of me because I'm a woman who knows nothing about plumbing! He came out and used his camera to find the problem ($350) then he said our only way to fix it was to dig it up and replace the pipes($1400)! I paid him the $350, but got a 2nd opinion and the 2nd guy came out and fixed the problem for $180! He also mentioned one pipe needed to be replaced because it had shifted and it didn't need to be all completely dug upand replaced! He said he would do it for $420 for everything!!!! I feel like the 2nd plumber did a great job and it was not half ass or anything!
Don't chose Mercy Plumbing unless you just want to waste time and money!!

Did the job well and quickly. They can come out on weekends with a emergency fee (I think it's about $160?). But their service is very expensive. I forgot the exact numbers, but approximately fixing clogged kitchen sink is like ~500ish and repairing a shower head is like ~300ish.

I can't believe how rude the man that answer was. He did not even let me finish what I had to say. What kind of business is this. I just wanted basic information about water filter installations and he cut me off so quick. You need better customer service. So RUDE! How can you be in business.

I am new to the Katy area and used Yelp reviews to choose Mercy Plumbing to do some (what seemed to be) fairly simple repairs. Breanna in the office was very friendly and helpful and John, the owner, told us how experienced he is (several times) so we hoped we had found a good service.  The pricing seemed quite high but we moved forward hoping for a professional repair.  The price was over $1500 for about 2 hours work.  The invoice was extremely vague and unclear so I asked for a breakdown, but never got it.  Two days after they were here, the toilet in my master bath started doing the same thing that caused me to call a plumber initially.  Everyone was on vacation for over a week so we just didn't use that toilet until they got back. When they came back out, they said some part inside the toilet was installed backwards and that's why the toilet didn't work properly. They charged us another $250 to make this repair which it seems they should have found the first time. A few hours later we found that the toilet was leaking.  They came back and repaired it the next day but we told them not to come back if there would be any additional charge. The toilet still doesn't work properly (the handle which they replaced sticks in the downward position when flushed) but we are just living with it and will contact a different plumber at a later date. The whole experience was very frustrating.

If you like dealing with incompetent people call them. The guy that came out quoted me $375.  I said that's too much. He said how about $275?  I reluctantly agreed but then got him to change the pee trap and check some other things for no extra charge. Very nice young man but I think he's been taught to see what you think the customer will pay which is why they won't give a quote over the phone.  
I started to write him a check he said we don't take checks. I said well they should have told me that when I set up the appointment. He ended up taking the check.
That was the middle of May.
I called several times to extremely incompetent office workers to find out why they hadn't cashed my check. No one knew. Was told the owners wife would call me. She did and assured me she had my check and would go to the bank the next week.  That was the first part of June.
The owner called me September 25 to say he had just found my check in the back of his desk and wanted to know if it was still good to cash.
I hung up on him!

John came out to our house the day we called him. He did everything we asked of him and more. He was up-front, friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond for us. I know, from other quotes, that he could have charged MUCH more than he did. We appreciate the fair price very much. He worked on our gas line, and made our family feel very safe while he was doing the work. He threw in a few extra repairs for a very discounted rate, also. He also provides a warranty on his work - which is great. They also cleaned up after themselves! We would recommend him without hesitation. We have had a very hard time with plumbing companies in the past, and this was such a different experience. We appreciate it. Thanks, John.

John, the owner was amazing. He helped me with a very difficult problem and gave me a reasonable price quote. He was the only one of three plumbers who was completely correct about the issues and knew exactly what he was talking about. He was honest and they completed the job quickly even through poor weather. Of the several plumbers I had come, he seemed the most honest and reliable and turned out to be just that. Would highly recommend!

I called these guys after hours with two clogged toilets that weren't responding to the plunger. They were at my house in about an hour and not only did they snake both toilets, but they fixed a water pressure issue I was having and adjusted the tank in one of my toilets for no extra charge. Gave the kids fidget spinners and made their day too at all at a reasonable price.

Brianna in was awesome and really proactive in getting us on the schedule! John and his crew did a great job and were professional. He explained everything thoroughly and tried to find the best solution for us.

Great and fast service! I was really happy they were able to come out and help my tenant check their water heater

Last Saturday, I noticed a large amount of water that appeared on our foundation slab. As we have not needed a plumber since moving fairly recently to this area, I was concerned that we choose a good company to handle this emergency. I was of course also concerned about what a weekend service call would cost.

I looked at recommendations on the NextDoor App, and decided to call Mercy Plumbing. John was quite responsive and came quickly to assess the situation. It was a leak from our refrigerator. He replaced the line, and the Saturday service charge was reasonable.

After we dried out the area behind our refrigerator and got the refrigerator moved back into place, we were not getting water from the front of the door. As the refrigerator was heavier than we were able to pull out, I texted John and he came back out at no charge. It turns out that we had crimped the new line when pushing the refrigerator back into place.

I was impressed with the initial service call, as well as the great customer service shown in the follow-up. I was prepared to pay another service call. I was surprised and pleased to have him not charge, especially since it was inadvertently our fault. I will definitely be using Mercy Plumbing whenever needed in the future, and I definitely recommend the company.

Awesome company.  Other companies couldn't get to me as quick as I needed. Mercy plumbing actually called and ask if could they could come earlier. Yes please!!!!!  They were honest about what needed fixing and worked at lightning speed.  I just moved to this house and have saved their info as my go to plumber.  Thanks again guys.

My bathroom was flooding over the holiday weekend and the owner of mercy plumbing came over within 30 minutes of calling. Fixed the base of the toilet and replaced a part in an hour. Very friendly and trustworthy experience.

The part that was replaced was faulty and my toilet continued to drain (at least without flooding) and they sent someone to replace it free of charge. Overall great experience.

John came out fixed my clogged toilet. He did a great job. I would recommend him anytime!!!

WHEN IT HAPPENED A THIRD TIME, we asked him to come clean the AC LINE (the recurring issue) for free since we just paid him a fortune. HE REFUSED. i said it was unacceptable.

DO NOT TRUST HIS REBUTTAL that will surely follow. HEED MY ADVICE AND CHOOSE A DIFFERENT PLUMBER. have you read his other negative reviews from other people on him? UNPROFESSIONAL. I will also be filing a negative review with BBB since yelp only goes so far.

UPDATE: JUST GOT A TEXT FROM MERCY PLUMBING SAYING THEY  ARE GOING TO CONTACT A LAWYER TO SUE ME FOR DEFAMATION. UNFORTUNATELY, TRUTH IS AN ABSOLUTE DEFENSE AGAINST DEFAMATION.

Tommy took my payment with no problem. But sending a receipt is impossible to receive. I requested 4 *FOUR Times and Still no receipt. I called and empty promise to email me a receipt. Just Terrible Customer Service After the Service. I am a Realtor and will not be recommending you to my clients.

I do not know how their work is but we called them for an estimate (they charge $30 for it). They guy came and gave a absurd quote of more than mid to high 3 digits to fix a couple of leak. About 5 minutes after he left (the guy was at my house for less than 10 minutes to give this absolute absurd quote) the owner called me and sweet talked that he likes to do work in Grand lakes and could get the job done for $50 less and when I asked for a written quote he snickered and laughed as if I had asked for something absurd
Long story short ... the parts cost less than $75 and the labour was less than $100 and both the shower and the sink work perfect.... cost me less than 25% of the original quote .... never will use these overpriced not wanting to be professionals.
Make sure you shop around before calling them...yes this is a capitalist society and yes businesses make profit but charging 3-4 times more than market is what Mercy plumbing does... so shop around

I personally tried to change out my shower fixture and broke the valve. I needed the water back on ASAP because I have painters in the house and moving in within the next few days. One company said I needed to tear down the shower wall to fix it. I called Mercy Plumbing and they were able to fix it first thing in the morning before the painters showed up! Without tearing down any shower walls! He even went around the house to make sure nothing else was having issues and fixed a clogged drain at no cost. Would highly recommend this company who is looking for a reliable plumber!

John from Mercy plumbing is great! Friendly guy and gets the job  done very quickly. He answers all your questions no matter how many you have lol. This past Saturday he and his son installed a new kitchen faucet in my home. Looks great! Very quick installation, and now the sink works like new, no more leaks! He's actually going to come back to work on the water heater as well. Highly recommend Mercy plumbing. John will not disappoint.

John with mercy plumbing does a great job he is very upfront and keeps his word. He replaced my tub in my upstairs bathroom raised my shower head location and completed all the necessary re-piping with ease.

We woke up to water pouring from a light fixture downstairs. Our upstairs supply line to the toilet broke. The owner of Mercy was out quickly... he was knowledgeable and helped us contact a water damage company also. So confident that it was done right and I don't feel ripped off.

I had a broken pipe that was leaking a lot of water and this company came here on time and fixed it super fast super efficient and the owner was extremely professional and helpful. He not only fixed the broken pipe I called for he fixed 2 others and didn't charge me extra. Definitely going with them again for any future plumbing needs.

Nice people. The receptionist, Brianna was very professional and nice.
The plumber was very nice. But, the prices he quoted me were very high.
They didn't solve my problem, but they charged me $112.50 to look at my water heater, that's with a 10% off coupon. The receptionist told me it would be $29.00 to have a plumber come check it out. He wanted $250.00 to install a kitchen faucet and $1800 to install a water heater. I think this company charges the most allowable by law. A lot of service companies are like this. Shop around before you agree to anything. $250 per hour is pretty high, don't you think?

Great company...The owner John and his son came to my home Saturday morning they were pleasant, professional, affordable and got the job done quick!The prices are good...I was VERY pleased.

Water pipe broke outside. Water everywhere running down the street. I shut the main water hose. I called Mercy for help. They we're here within two hours.  Bryce did a great job. Highly recommend Mercy.  Reasonably priced.

He can do the easy stuff, and it will cost $250, regardless. I had him over to try and diagnose a moisture issue and he could not figure it out. Another plumber did quite quickly and it was a simple fixture leak. He shoots from the hip. Not a good listener, and somewhat rude. Would not recommend.

I had an experience with a plumber that I felt less than satisfied about so I called Mercy on Saturday morning at 9 and they were at my house in Sugar Land by 1. The owner was professional and honest and cared about my comfort level doing certain things. He got my hot water heating working again in no time and was practical and knowledgeable when explaining the issues and possible solutions. They might be a bit on the expensive side (but I don't know for sure) but I don't mind paying a bit more for satisfaction and integrity. Will absolutely use again.

Called them out to look at my gas line in my kitchen that was poking out of the wall. It was making my stove poke out 6 inches from the wall and driving me crazy. The owner came out to my house and gave me two options on how he could fix it and then had the job done within 20 minutes and even cleaned up after his self. Very pleased with the service we received from John & Jona. They went above and beyond to troubleshoot our problem and got us up and running in a timely manner. They were very respectful of our property and left everything nice & neat. Can't say enough about these guys and the service they provide!

After calling several plumbers I called John at mercy plumbing who was the only person who didn't try to swindle or take advantage of my situation.
I had a gas valve leak & every other plumber I called was dishonest, including some listed here that have good reviews.
John &his assistant went above and beyond, they took time to explain the problem & gave me choices on how to fix the problem.
I am a happy customer. I would recommend mercy plumbing 100% & certified too!!!

I had Mercy Plumbing come out and help me with a gas leak at my gas meter. I am giving them two stars because they did finish the job they said they would (pressure test and capping of leaking pipe) but not without troubles. The short version is we were stood up twice (one of which was a no call/no show) by the technician, no return calls from management, and overcharged up front to lock us in from shopping around. Overall not a good experience. Do yourself a favor and keep searchinge.

John and nephew took care of my backed up toilet.  I could tell that he's a good, honest man by his firm handshake and greeting.  I will most likely call him back for other plumbing needs.

Called this morning due to my sink backing up, regardless of Liquid Plumber and snaking it.  Service was within 5 hours, the plumber was over for about 90 minutes, tested twice after resolving issue to ensure it was fixed, cleaned up, was very polite.  We are very pleased with the service we received.

I'm a relatively new homeowner, so I didn't know how to shut the water off to the house easily (it was a lever or a crank right outside the house that doesn't require too much force). So, when the water valve under my sink broke (it was cheap and wore out, apparently), hot water was spewing under my sink for a good 10 minutes. My wife threw all our mats in the cupboard under the sink to suck up the water, while I tried to find how to turn it off. It was crazy. Finally, I turned off the water at the main meter, which was ridiculously difficult. I had to use a hammer. Anyway, called Mercy Plumbing after. John from Mercy Plumbing who's a friendly guy came over pretty quick and identified the leak as a worn out valve that needed replacement and replaced it immediately. The best thing with John from Mercy Plumbing and I bet probably from other plumbers working with him, is that he's upfront with what it would cost (fair pricing) and keeps his word. If you're anxious and you start to think, maybe I should just change every valve in the house, he's honest in saying that's not necessary. John also educated me how to turn the water off quickly next time round and advised me to check for possible mold that might form. I would definitely call Mercy Plumbing again for my plumbing needs.

So I literally had feces coming out of my shower drain due to a blockage in a toilet. I called a couple plumbers to see if any of them could come and check it out the same day.  The only one available to squeeze us in was Mercy. Called them @10:00am and they were here by 12:00pm (that's crazy fast for a last minute appointment!) John was able to find the problem and finish the job within 30 minutes! The price was very reasonable and he was very speedy and professional!  Hopefully I never have this problem again, but if I do I will definitely be calling John at Mercy Plumbing.

Had a water pipe burst in the wall this past Saturday, 3/16 around 3pm. Called Mercy and left message. Called another company said they could come out but didn't know when. Had two calls in front of mine. Within 15 minutes of leaving message with Mercy, Esai called and said he just finished a job and could head my way. I called back other company and cancelled. Mercy was here in about 15 minutes and said depending on location and type of plumbing involved would price would be within a quoted range. After locating leak, I was given a price within the quoted range toward the lower end. Esai was here about 2 hours. He was very nice, professional and had some good advice. He cut the hole in the wall,sheet rock,just big enough to do the job. I was able to find an spring loaded access panel at HmDpt to cover the hole. Thanks for the tip! It fit perfectly. To date water is where it's supposed to be, in the pipes, and we are very satisfied with Mercy Plumbing and Esai. I will not hesitate call if needed for another job.

Same day service! Great job! When the water line to my house broke I was stuck without any water. Mercy Plumbing was the only service I called who didn't ask me to wait a few days and was able to have someone to my house in a couple hours. My water was back on within 2 hours of their arrival and the price was definitely affordable. I would definitely recommend Mercy Plumbing.

I woke up to a broken pipe on a cold,rainy Sunday morning. I called John and explained where the breakage was then we discussed the fees which were fair and he was at my residence in no time. He was very professional and good at what he did. He had the pipe fixed and my water back on in no time while also taking the liberty of putting on installion since it was the freezing time of season with no extra charge . I will use him in any future problems and would recommend him to anyone.

John was great. He was able to make some time for me the same day I called for an appointment, was super friendly, and was able to install some new valves for my washer and hot water heater. I know who I'll be calling next time I need some plumbing work done.

I called John this morning at 7am; he was very professional on the phone and during the site visit. We had a main clog in our sewage line, which he unclogged. He also verified we had no roots running through or main line from the house to the city manhole using his fiber optic cable. He arrived to house within an hour of calling, and did not charge me an extra fee due to calling him early in the morning. I appreciate the work John and his co-worker did; I'd easily call them again for any plumbing problems.

I had a plumbing leak in my attic and called John after another plumbing company never returned my calls. John fit me in by the end of the day and fixed my leak within 45 minutes. Pricing was reasonable and John was a pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommend Mercy Plumbing and will use John for my future needs!

If you need a plumber who is smart enough to diagnose your plumbing problem accurately and honest enough to not rip you off during the most vulnerable time, John Mercy is the guy you call.  John and his nephew came out to my house after the previous plumbing company told me I had a leak and would take at least $3000 to fix (and somehow I had a gut feeling not to trust them), he diagnosed no leak but fixed an unstable toilet for me which was MUCH cheaper. Later I had a plumbing emergency in my dental office and he came out during the time when he should be having family dinner and diagnosed our plumbing problem.  He saved us from having to shut down the office the next day.  He's a rare gem in his profession and it shows as he's getting all the five star reviews on Yelp!

John was great. Our hot water heater was broken. He came and assessed, got the part and fixed even though it was 7:00 pm. It was great to have hot water again. Thank you Mercury Plumbing!

I have finally found a trustworthy plumber, one that doesn't try to up-sell you on needless aspects of the repair. John is honest and fair, and give you the straight skinny on the job at hand. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Late in the afternoon, John and his assistant Tony turned detective to discover the cause of water damage.  Luckily, the walls that needed to be cut were in a closet.  After determining the cause to be a pipe coming up through the concrete slab, John clearly explained the procedure and possible complications.  John and Tony arrived on time the next morning.  We got lucky again when it was learned that the leaky pipe only supplied one downstairs sink.  Once the faulty pipe was capped, a T-joint in an upstairs line was created and a PEX pipe was dropped down to supply the downstairs sink.  No other walls or floors needed to be damaged in order to complete the work.  The job was finished after 4 1/2 hours, which included a run to the supply house.  Plus, he was here about 1 1/2 hours the evening before.

They vacuumed the area and left everything cleaned up.

John charges a flat rate, but was not able to predict how extensive the job would be.  He quoted a price for finding the leak and capping it.  Then, he once knew what would be required in order to supply the sink, he gave me another ballpark figure to which I agreed.  In the end, the bottom line was less than he quoted.  Although it was not itemized, I feel that this charge was reasonable given the knowledge, skill, and creative solution that was required.  I also feel that another plumber could have easily gone a different and more extensive and expensive way.

We are out of state property owners with a property in Houston. Our tenant notified us on a Saturday about an emergency plumbing issue. After contacting several companies, none could do the work until Monday. This would have caused our tenant to be inconvenienced the whole weekend. Enter John. He arrived on Sunday and gave us an estimate. Once he began the repairs, however, he found an additional problem with the toilet. The toilet is a specialty item he couldn't get until Monday. So, John picked it up and finished the job Monday. Mind you, he did all of this for his original estimate. John's integrity and attention to detail likely saved us a lot of money in the long run. I highly recommend him and will use him in the future.

John is a very skilled, honest and personable person. While other plumbers gave a highly unreasonable quotes for my sink clog he not only gave a very reasonable quote but also did a free service of my bathtub faucet as it was a quick replacement. He provided suggestions on maintenance of my AC pipeline. In my experience, honesty is what lacks in several service providers and people try to take advantage of someone's situation. John is an exception and someone I can trust. Great job John!

A very reliable plumber that we already had to call for several plumbing issues around the house.  He fixed it quickly and not once did we have to call him back for the repair he had done.  Great pricing & friendly service too.  We had a water leak from the washer, and it seemed minor.  John repaired it quickly and suggested we call a restoration company to prevent any mildew in the walls.  Best advice we took!

I had a problem with my disposal not working so I called Mercy Plumbing and they came faster then I expected. Not only did they do a great professional job , Mercy Plumbing also fixed my toilet with its flushing problems and my sinks with it's draining issues. The price was affordable even for a 9-5 guy like me. They gave me some good tips too, some tips for me to fix my toilet myself if  I have little problems to help me save my money.

Needed a pipe changed on my water heater.  He came out in a reasonable amount of time and quickly understood what I needed done.  Replaced the pipe really fast and up and running in no time.  Great guy though I think his a bit pricey.  Not that I am one to put  value to another mans work.  Just my opinion.

John & his associate came out to inspect and repair my water heater. Although I had some standing water in the emergency pan he was able to quickly find out that the water came from the roof and not the water heater itself. He relit the pilot light, did some service work and was finished in about 15 minutes. He didn't try and take advantage of me when I thought the situation was much worse.

He also fixed a couple of my sink poppers that weren't working at no charge. He is an honest guy who also was kind enough to give some goodwill. His prices were much lower than others, but I would have been willing to pay the same as other large companies quotes to have him perform the service work.

I highly recommend his company and plan to use him for all plumbing issues.

Called with a broken water heater and family coming in town the next day. At my house within and hour and fixed the problem immediately. Great service.

Had an issue with main water line leaking and causing a mess!! John was able to come out same day to assess the problem, give a fair quote, and started working right away!! He even referred me to a good water restoration company to help the rebuilding process,.!! He was real easy to talk with and down to earth! I felt he gave excellent customer service and would use him again for my plumbing needs!

My water heater stopped working a bit over a month ago. I called Mercy and John came out and assessed the damage -- I knew the heater was old (10+ years) so it wasn't surprising to me when he said the unit would need to be replaced. He was able to get a suitable replacement and had it installed the next day! The work was done well, great manners, were careful not to bang anything around in my home and not track dirt anywhere (he even vacuumed after!). When the unit malfunctioned a month and a half later (bad part -- not John's fault) he came out immediately and fixed the issue. Very good company, great service, will use them in the future for my plumbing! :)

Well, I was pretty hopeful based on the reviews that I was getting someone good, but not so much.  I set up an appointment for him to come by the next day @2pm.  2:20 the next day rolls around and no word.  Called twice, he answers having no clue what I was talking about.  Then tells me he can't make it out due to a family issue and said he wouldn't be back for 5 days.  OK, I understand...stuff happens.  But did you have to hang up on me when I started to tell you that I would need someone sooner.  That was rude as shit.  Meanwhile, I took off work so that I could get this taken care of so I can hopefully get my wife and 2 kids back in our house after spending 5 nights in a hotel.  Thanks dude.  Way to stay professional.

I had a major plumbing problem at my house which required all new sewage pipe to be installed from my home to the street. I had one prior estimate before contacting Mercy plumbing. Mercy was able to complete the job for LESS THAN half of my 1st estimate. They even worked all the way through a Holiday weekend (Saturday & Sunday) in order to ensure my situation was fixed quickly. They did an outstanding job for a very fair price. My only complaint is that it took a couple of phone calls and SEVERAL days for me to get an invoice/work order for my record keeping.

Wonderful experience with John (owner) and Jonah (apprentice ) at Mercy Plumbing!  Very professional, fair, and efficient.  They addressed the main reason for my call and corrected an additional problem that I had been told by three previous plumbers couldn't be fixed/was a result of the design of the home.....at NO additional charge!  Very thankful for their service and will call on Mercy in the future.

I was out at a doctor appointment when I got a call from the babysitter that there was water leaking from the master bedroom ceiling downstairs and a bathroom ceiling upstairs. I came home and immediately called the first person who came up on Yelp under plumbing services. I'm so lucky that it happened to be Mercy Plumbing! John said that he could get to our house within an hour and he did. He shut off our water heater in the attic where the water was leaking from, and refused to let me pay him! We have a home warranty company so they are sending someone out to repair the water heater...but knowing how AHS is they are going to try and screw us for every dime we have, and if they do I'll definitely be giving John a call and just pay him to do the work rather than going through the warranty company that really isn't there to help home owners at all! John was so helpful and extremely nice! I'm so appreciative that he was able to come out and help us, and we will most definitely be using him in the future and referring all of our friends and neighbors to him!

First I want to thank yelp for the reviews left regarding Mercy Plumbing. It gave me comfort knowing that the reviews left behind gave me the same satisfactory customer service when I called mercy plumbing. I called the owner John to set up an appointment and he was there right on time. My downstairs toilet kept clogging and water was coming up from the front of my lawn which I thought was going to be a nightmare in cost to fix. When John finally arrived he already knew what was the problem, he pointed out that the builder of my house layered sod grass over the septic valve. With some PVC piping which he did not charge me for and some digging he constructed a whole new one for me which at the same time he cleared the blockage of bio waste. I recommend Mercy Plumbing/ John to anyone. Don't waste your time dealing with anyone else I promise you he will take care of you and get the job done.

John came out on a Sunday, to replace the faucets on my washing machine.  He even installed the new washer that Lowes left.  He is professional and friendly and now has a customer for life!!  I really appreciate your time John!!

I called  2 plumbing services and they said it would be a couple of days for them  to come out. I dont think that it helped that I told them i am a single woman & didnt know much about these things...
So when I described what was going on with my plumbing backing up...they sad it sounds major & may be EXTENSIVE  ( Code for EXPENSIVE).  I really needed someone fast and not acting shady before they even came out. I called my ExHusband William & he said call John @ Mercy Plumbing. I left a message for John & he called me back fast. I told him what was going on and he said I can come out tomorrow & I said ok...I'll have to live with waste in my tub a little longer. He said Im finishing a job in Katy. I'll see if I can come out tonight I've heard that one before...but, he surprised me by calling back and said I'm on way I was in shock. He figured out right away that the problem was roots. He pulled them out of the line & voila...everything was working great. I will use them again & again!! Ty for being merciful...Mercy Plumbing!!!

Outstanding customer service and workmanship. We had an emergency plumbing situation. Called Mercy at 9.30 pm and John was at my house in 30 mins and fixed the problems. John is great, we are his customer for life.

Oh how I wish Yelp had the option of 10 stars!  We recently tried out Mercy to put in new drain lines on a rental property after all of our nightmares with ARS.  They were prompt, efficient, and HALF the price ARS quoted us.  We had to get an estimate from Mercy recently for replumbing another house and again, well below ARS.  While in the process of scheduling this major job - yesterday the sinks in my house started filling up with water.  I called John at Mercy to ask if he could come out at some point and check it.  He told me it was coming from a backed up AC drain and he would be here within the hour!  He said if it was backed up to that point, it could get worse during the night and he didn't want us to have overflowing sinks in the middle of the night!  He was at my house in 30 minutes.  What he said would take 30 minutes to fix, ended up taking him about 3 hours due to previous garbage done by ARS - BUT, he fixed their work, had to run for parts and had our drains flowing clear again before he left and AGAIN, charged us so reasonably even when he had to do extra work that I actually felt guilty for not paying more!  He was prompt, courteous, understanding, neat and clean and didn't make a huge mess and even cleaned up what little mess he had to make.  I can not begin to express my relief and gratitude to have found a plumber that cares about the quality of his work and cares about his customers.  Mercy Plumbing has earned ALL of our plumbing business from here on out!   John and his company are absolute Mercy after having dealt with ARS!!!!!!!!!!!

John came and knocked out my problem in 10-20 minutes at a great price. Couldn't ask for better service. If you're looking for a plumber he's the guy to call. MERCY PLUMBING is the way to go.

We called John @ Mercy Plumbing a few months ago for a clogged sewer line and he immediately (and correctly) diagnosed the problem and told us we would eventually need to replace the line. I should mention that I called him at 6pm on a Friday after our sewer system had backed up and pumped poop (yes, poop) particles into our bathtubs! With an 8 month old at home, I was mortified and needed help ASAP! Everyone else I called all afternoon (starting at 3) told me they couldn't help me until well into the next week. John said he would stop on his way home! He cleared the system and got everything back to normal that night! Naturally, when it backed up again (tree roots in the line) a few months later, he was our first call. He came out and diagnosed it, charged us a very reasonable rate, and had 25 feet of sewer piping in our front yard completely fixed in less than 24 hours! A friend had the same thing done out of state the same day... her Facebook photos of a torn up yard left by her plumber had me frightened, but upon arriving home, I found that they had carefully cut up our grass, pealed it back, replaced pipe, and carefully put it all back! You couldn't even tell it had been done from the street view! Excellent workmanship has us up and running again! John is polite, expedient, and wonderful! I cannot say enough how highly I recommend Mercy Plumbing - they are awesome and truly go the extra mile for their customers!
