Frisco Electric, Inc is a local, family owned electrical contracting company. Serving nearby communities with highly trained service technicians, who specialize in electrical service and repair work. Frisco Electric Inc has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and is a member of the Frisco Chamber of Commerce. The owner, M. Vince Brewer has over 40 years in the electrical industry and resides in Frisco. He is a licensed Master Electrician and holds a Professional Engineering License.
HISTORY
Established in 2002.
Frisco Electric Inc is solely owned by the founder M. Vince Brewer. The company was incorporated in March of 2002. Vince moved his family to Frisco in 1996 from Illinois to work as a corporate electrical engineer for a large food company. After 8 years of corporate life, he determined that his time and efforts could be better utilized and began researching how to start a business. He determined that there would be a demand for an electrical service company in Frisco. Although Frisco Electric has worked for general contractors wiring restaurants, offices, warehouses and the like, we prefer to work on projects were we can work directly for the customer and be able to address their needs and concerns directly.
ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER
Vince started in the electrical industry in 1978 as an apprentice electrician in Illinois. He worked on various projects, mostly industrial, for the next 4 years as he attended apprenticeship school in the evenings. In 1982 he passed the Journeyman Electrician exam. Six months later he earned an Associate Degree in Pre-Engineering at Carl Sandburg Community college.
Working as a Journeyman electrician, he traveled to various jobs in the midwest earning money to return to college. He started at Bradley University in 1985 and completed a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1988. During breaks and interims he worked as an electrician for multiple electrical contractors in the Peoria Illinois area.
After college he worked 3 years as a engineering consultant, with the majority of the work at Caterpiller. From there he went to work for Kraft Foods as an Electrical Project Manager. Four years later, he went to Frito Lay as a Corporate Engineer.
In 2002 Vince started Frisco Electric.

I had a great experience having my home set up to run a back up generator. Kevin did an awesome job and did it pretty quick too. I wasn't left in the dark with no power at all while he was wiring my interlock and breaker and running 30ft of wire over my attic out to the patio where I wanted the inlet box. Awesome job! Call them.
I needed some electrical issues taken care of and once again called Frisco Electric. Cole and Dale came out and took care of the issues. They were very professional things were done in a timely manner and I will definitely call on Frisco Electric again when needed.

I am a repeat customer of Frisco Electric and the reason starts at the beginning with Vanessa who does the scheduling. She gets thorough information on what your request is so there is no miscommunication and then diligently works you in for the fastest response time. Cole was my electrician this visit and he was excellent. He completed the job very efficiently. Cole was polite, courteous and left the area he worked in very clean. I highly recommend Frisco Electric and especially Cole.
Curren and Jordan totally changed the exterior of our home. They installed an entry way light on an exterior ceiling that was well over 20 feet. They installed security lighting as well as uplighting on a large tree. Throughout the project they kept me informed on how things were progressing, if anything was going to be extra, and confirmed with me that everything was working prior to starting the next project.
Curren actually made 2 trips and he was very thorough and honest both times. From the estimate process to confirming the day before/day of the arrival times, I was extremely happy with my experience. Thanks to Vanessa as well.
I cannot recommend these guys enough. Ask for Curren or Jordan and leave electrical to the experts.

I just had Frisco Electric finish up two projects at my home. Kevin was terrific not only was he punctual and cordial he was patient with any questions I had and even took the time to assist me with ensuring I purchased the right accessories for my generator. He also installed a ceiling light in our stairs and it transformed the space in minutes. I have been wanting to do it myself for your years and in a matter of minutes Kevin completed and picked up after himself.
Both him and Vanessa in their office were great to deal with and highly recommend them. I know I will be calling the next time I need something.
Worked on my MIL house twice of 2 different issues. Very professional courteous office & field staff. Very good service & communication throughout the service. I believe they are priced fairly for the service they provide.

Curren was on-time and very professional. His work was completed quickly and he did an excellent job cleaning up after he was done. Other than the new outlet, it was like he was never there!
He also did a great job of explaining options and talking through advantages/disadvantages of placement based on our needs.
This is the second time we've had Frisco Electric out and we'll call on them again when we have the need.

Kevin was AMAZING! Very professional and proficient. I was working from home while he was here and he was very quiet and non disruptive. Any mess he made he cleaned up and my home was as it was before he arrived. We had 2 other companies come out to try and fix our issues. We didn't have power to any outside outlets. Kevin discovered another GFCI in a second bathroom that we were unaware of. Other companies said we needed wire tracing. Kevin saved us time and money and for that we are so grateful. I contacted them Thursday afternoon, they immediately scheduled me for an inspection first thing Monday morning, and the tech who came out was able to quote me and do the install on the spot.

I will be using Frisco Electric for all things electric from now on. I was thankful that they could send someone over within 2 hours of calling to get an estimate. The estimator, Curren, listened to the list of things I wanted done. Turns out he immediately had ideas to make the work really pop.
I chose the items that were the most important to have done; however, the winter storm hit that night! I had to wait until the storm ended to call and get my appointment.
I called yesterday to lock in a day & time. They arrived today at 8:30pm and were able to get started immediately. William & Curren were very profesional and quickly worked to get my items done. They even cleaned up afterward!

We hired them to help install bond grounding. The electrician (Kevin) that came and helped us was the most friendly and polite person ever, customer service was excellent. He explained what he was going to do for the installation so that we understood what was going on and I feel happy knowing that the bond grounding was installed well.
Kevin was also very punctual and scheduling was a breeze with Vanessa.
Bonus points for being pet friendly as well (or at least cat friendly), we didn't have to put our cats away and he was friendly towards them.
I was very impressed with the electrician that I used from Frisco Electric. He was extremely professional and very knowledgeable. I plan on using this company again when I get my delivery of my chandeliers. Overall, a great experience!

I can't say enough good things about Frisco electric. I had electrical issues with some lights not working in my house. Vanessa was wonderful on phone helping me troubleshoot my problem. William and Vanessa were amazing! The appointment scheduling was easy as pie. William was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and expedius with removing and installing our light fixtures. I would 1000% recommend Frisco Electric!
We had several tricky outdoor electrical needs, and after getting three estimates, we decided to hire Frisco Electric because their approach seemed to be the most thoughtful and well-planned. Vanessa was very helpful with the scheduling, and Kevin, the technician, was wonderful - he was very punctual, worked with us to come up with creative solutions to various challenges with our yard and house, and last but not least, he was so darn friendly! The job is now complete, and we are beyond happy with the results. We would not hesitate to hire Frisco Electric again, and will definitely recommend them to others.

These guys came out to fix a weird outlet issue in the House I was buying. They were on time, really nice, and fixed the outlet fast without any of the shady well, we may need to tear out your wall and rewire everything with golden tinsel to get rid of the narwhals made up crap that you get with some sheisty people.
Fast, easy, and a great price! They are definitely on my go-to list in the future!
Excellent service. My problem was fixed within an hour of calling it in. Vanessa took my call; we discussed my problem with a bad circuit -- GFCI would not reset. She listened well, asked me a few good clarifying questions and got a clear understanding of my electrical problem. Curren showed up at my house 15 minutes later, did some quick diagnostics, and found the cause of the problem all within 10 minutes. Ten more minutes and the problem was fixed. Curren put things back together neatly, left no mess, and tested that his fix restored things down line. I enjoyed his mix of professionalism, skill, and friendliness. This is the second time in 4 years that Frisco Electric and Curren have done excellent work at my home. I recommend them strongly.

This is the second time I've used Frisco Electric. When I called about my a/c breaker going out in 98 degree temp, Vanessa was able to accommodate me with an appointment. Minutes later, she called me and said she spoke with the tech and highly recommended I shut the thermostat and breaker off. I did. Vince arrived on time and diagnosed the problem. My circuit melted due to overheating. He offered a solution which remedied the issue at a reasonable price.
A couple months ago I had an outlet added above my fireplace by William. He was just as great as Vince. The price was reasonable and he was also on time.
I highly recommend Frisco Electric, William, Vince and Vanessa!

I contacted Frisco Electric for a quote via Yelp to install a NEMA 14-50 outlet for EV charging in my garage. Vanessa was very responsive and informative in answering my questions and explaining how everything would work. William showed up promptly for my appointment. It was helpful that he called about 25-30 mins before arriving so I could come home from work to meet him. When he showed up, he was polite and courteous in discussing options for the location of the outlet. He completed the job in about 30 minutes. Everything was smooth from start to finish. I'd highly recommend Frisco Electric for any job.
I had a need for a small repair, and I was referred to Frisco Electric. I spoke to Vanessa when I called, and she was extremely helpful. She arranged for next day service.
William came out to fo the repair. He was on time, very personable, and had the work done in a short time.
This is great service, and I would recommend them to anyone who needs electrical work done.
William came out to fix a problem with a breaker switch flipping. After a diagnosis, he had to run to the store to get a new one and installed it. I appreciated his persistence in determining the problem. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because of the additional time it took to go pick up the part. It would have been more efficient if it had been available in his truck. I'd recommend them though because he was professional and courteous.
About a week after seeing my previous review on Yelp, I was contacted via telephone by Susan in the office (WHO IS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!). I wasn't happy to revisit my poor experiences with their staff, but the fact they even cared enough to make a follow-up call was positive.
Susan apologized profusely and said she would speak to the company's owner and call me back. She called me back a few minutes later and offered to have the owner come out and install the three remaining switches himself, which I accepted.
As promised, the owner arrived promptly at the scheduled time and completed the work without any further charge. Of course, he did his best to apologize as well.
The efforts of the owner and, to a much larger degree, Susan are why I'm updating this review and adding an additional star.
Why only three stars? Because the prior horrible experiences still happened and, unfortunately, nothing can be done to erase that.
At the end of the day, I feel as though all the work required was completed for $5 less than I should have paid. I was initially overcharged by $55, but the owner came and performed what I value as $60 worth of labor. It took three trips and several poor experiences to reach this point. Yes, Susan and the owner tried their best to atone for the transgressions of their staff, but I am STILL finding screws and wire in the carpet and drywall dust on my furniture where Frisco Electric was working.
I do believe that the five-star experiences of other reviewers are likely legitimate. However, I unfortunately did not have such an experience. My ordeal may be an outlier, but I really can't justify more than three stars.
Frisco Electric won't be taking any jobs away from my long-time electrician, but, based on quality of work alone, would definitely recommend them over the too-good-to-be-true priced electricians on Amazon. I had them out yesterday and won't be going that route again.
In closing (finally!), I would recommend giving these guys a chance. Just be extra sure to run anything that seems odd by Susan and she will definitely get it straightened out.
We recently moved into our new place which needed some electrical work inside and outside the house. We received quotes from multiple vendors but none came close to the pricing offered by Frisco Electric. William did a fantastic job of explaining the pricing details for each line item within the quote.
On the scheduled day, William arrived on time and was extremely efficient throughout the day, ensuring that the work was completed on time. He also walked us through all the work being done and made sure all the work areas were cleaned up before he left.
We'll be definitely using their services in the future.

We've used Vince Brewer's team at Frisco Electric for the eight years we've had our Frisco home. They always send experienced pros who conspicuously know their trade. They've always done the job right the first time, just as they said they would. They may cost a little more than a guy in his pickup truck but they're pros and are dependable. Thanks to Vanessa and Bruce for responding to our latest electrical need.
William came out to check my breaker box and replace some fans. Rather than sell me on a more labor intensive option for wiring an extra switch due to my high ceilings, he talked me through my options and was more focused on making sure I got the functionality I wanted rather than just selling me on more work and installing a fan that was ultimately too small for the room.
What a great company! After a small miscommunication they were able to save the day. I needed a breaker swapped out for a new a/c unit and they came in an knocked the job out quickly and the tech was very nice and helpful. The price for the work was fair and just. Would use again in the future.
They were very responsive. William helped us out with a couple of things around the house that needed attention. He was very friendly and offered some great advice for the maintenance help.

Frisco Electric has been around for awhile and there's a reason for that! They do good work and have great people working for them. Vanessa was quick to get us scheduled with a price quote over the phone, and William was as pleasant as can be and took care of all our electric needs.
Suddenly had the breaker to the TV wear out and was able to get same day service! William came out a put in a new breaker in minutes! Can't say enough good things about their efficient Office Manager & William, the electrician. Great company and an excellent resource for future repairs.
Kevin and Vanessa are awesome!! Both very friendly and professional. Vanessa worked with me to accommodate my crazy busy schedule and Kevin came in and explained everything he was doing and zipped in and out to accommodate my day! Truly impressed!
Our electrician, Todd just got done with a minor electrical problem we had in the house. His service is was superb and courteous. He gave us a heads up that he was heading our way, and when he got here, was able to solve the problem within several minutes.
We left a message with this company to have them repair a front porch light at our tenant's home in McKinney. They called us back and we gave them our tenant's phone number so that they could arrange a date and time for the service call. We also provided them with our email address and asked that they keep us updated on the progress of the repair. Ten days later and neither our tenants nor ourselves ever heard again from this company. Luckily we checked Yelp again and came up with Aj's Custom Electric, who had the problem fixed the morning after we asked for an appointment. We own four properties in Collin County so are always pleased when we find a service provider who works hard to get our money!
I guess Frisco electric is too busy to call me back after 4 messages. I wanted to put in timers for outside lights. They told me what products to purchase. which I did. Now I have been calling for over 4 weeks trying to schedule an appointment. I even called to advise I had even more work, switching out 17 light switches to dimmers, no small cost....
I guess I have to find a new electrician. they have done work for me in the past and have been pleased. Disappointed.
Frisco Electric is great! I have used them for several projects around my home. Vanessa got right back to me and was flexible with my schedule. William did a great job and was super helpful. Great company came out to replace my old sylvania electrical breaker box yesterday with a new Square D brand, it gook 4 hours of hard work. They installed a new grounding rod and went through the whole house to label all the breakers with what room and devices were connected.Very nice and professional company, price was fair. Last week my brother texted me for an electrician to do an emergency repair for his sister n law in Plano. I had not used Frisco Electric yet having scheduled my upgrade but gave them to my brother to try. He called me back ecstatic about how the owner had come out that day and replaced a blow GFI plug near the shower and spent a lot of time showing him how to do it in the future, he could not say enough about how impressed he was with them. I was as well. In today's world it is so nice to find an honest well run company with good employees!

Susan and staff set up my appointments quickly and explained to me pricing and process. Scott was great. We just bought an older house and had several electricity issues as well as things like changing lighting and fans. I didn't plan enough time for the first day but they were quick to schedule my follow up a few days later. My fault I didn't plan enough time again but Scott came back to finish the work communicating the whole time as to when he would be there. The pricing for all the work I had done was extremely reasonable. Scott was professional and friendly. He did everything I asked in a very reasonable time. This is definitely now going to be my go to electric company. Highly recommend!
Honest company! Our electrician was Curren, who is an incredibly nice and honest guy. He worked hard to solve our issue and gave us the best price. He was polite, on time, and most importantly was very honest and fair in his price. I recommend them highly!
Absolutely SPECTACULAR!! We couldn't figure out why the outlet for our fish tank wasn't working, I called and Suzanne promptly answered my call. Not only was she amazingly understanding and helpful she was GENUINE. She walked me through troubleshooting to try to resolve my issue on my own without shelling out the money for a tech. We ended up needing them to still come out, they came the SAME day (during the holiday season) and the tech (Curren) was EARLY!! He was very professional and respectful. He fixed our outlet and then even helped us change some light bulbs we couldn't reach!!!

Friso Electric Inc. is by far the the BEST company I have ever called so far. The staffs are professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable with clear/easy explanation regards to my question and concern. I feel 100% confident in their ability to perform the job correctly with excellent customer service.
I'm so thankful I found Frisco Electric, and I will continue to use them if I have any other electrician needs.
Our circuit breaker that connected to the fridge went out and wouldn't turn back on. I had used another service (simply because it was open after 5pm when the circuit blew) and the guy came out, changed the breaker and charged me $200 for like 20 minutes of work. Well, surprise, it blew again and wouldn't turn back on! So I called Frisco Electric this time. The guy came out and fully examined the entire line to determine that there was a spot where the coating was rubbed off and the wires were touching each other. So, after an hour of shuffling around in our attic on a 95 degree afternoon, he got the wire replaced and fixed it the problem!
He was very nice, clearly knowledgeable, and he priced out the charges and they made perfect sense, so I didn't feel taken advantage of. I would definitely recommend them.
Highly recommend these people. Our dryer quit working the week of Thanksgiving and they were quick to respond when called. They showed up when scheduled. They were polite and professional. Prices were reasonable. Mr Curren took the time to diagnose the problem with our 240 outlet and fixed it. If the rest of their employees are as good as him it's no wonder why they get such high reviews.

Prompt and helpful, we'll use Frisco Electric going forward. An outfit called A-Appliance replaced a heating coil in our oven. The next day the oven kept tripping the breaker. A-Appliance came back out and said to call an electrician because the breaker was bad. We chose Frisco Electric based on their reputation. The electrician ruled out a breaker problem then examined the stove and fixed the problem - an improper ground (should've been an easy fix for A-Appliance - if they'd looked). We were back in business thanks to Frisco Electric. The bill was reasonable and there was no upsell pitch for unnecessary work or pressure to buy a service contract. In 2010, Milestone said our entire panel needed to be replaced. I'm so glad we didn't do it. We feel better knowing we can call Frisco Electric for future needs.
This company charges $130/hour but if they can charge by piece, they are cheating you. If you have 10 smoke alarms to install, they will quote you $40 for each - when they could charge you by the hour and you would pay a lot less. They will charge $440 plus $75 service instead of $130/hour - even though they could install the same amount in an hour.

Net: The team was very professional, accommodating (and timely to their appt!). They did a great job installing a few chandeliers and were reasonable cost. They are coming to do more work later in the week due to my positive experience. They are now in my iPhone as my electrician...Thanks!

I chose Frisco Electric because I like patronizing local businesses whenever possible, and I was hoping I'd be able to get someone to come out in a day or so to check on an outdoor outlet that had been intermittently not working for no obvious reason--the urgency due to having contractors currently on-site working on my house. I got a fast return call from the message I left just after they opened, and better yet, was told the owner would be able to come out later that morning. How often does that happen?
Of course, by the time Vince got here the outlet was functioning again, but he took his time thoroughly checking for possible causes, and ultimately found a slightly loose connection in the breaker box that might have been the culprit. Even though he didn't have to repair anything, I appreciated all of the information about the way the houses of the same age as mine in this area are wired, which GFCI outlet is connected to the outdoor outlet (not remotely one I would have suspected), and which breaker it belongs to, so I was happy to pay a reasonable fee for all that.
It was also very refreshing to not get a sales pitch for things I don't need. I'll be calling Frisco Electric for all of my future electrical jobs.
After firing another electrician, I read the reviews and had them come out. There was a miscommunication on the bid, but they took responsibility and did their best to make it happen. Susan was great to work with, great follow up/reminders and the tech Curren was very prompt, polite, and did a fantastic job. Very happy. I will definitely use them again and refer everyone we know.
I was initially nervous about the $$$ costs associated with having electrical work done at my new house. I called 2 other big name companies in the area for estimates and was shocked by the outrageous quotes. I finally decided to call Frisco Electric based on a recommendation from my husband's co worker. Wow! Am I glad that I called them?! The electrician was punctual and very knowledgeable. He assessed the problem, gave me the most reasonable quote for the work, and fixed the issue the same afternoon due to a cancelation in his schedule. Overall very pleased with their work and professionalism.
Awesome service! I needed some work done before the holidays and could not find anyone. They fit me in with 1 days notice. Customer service was superb from the receptionist to the tech. The pricing was great and they didn't pull any games. I highly recommend them.

The absolute best electric company in the DFW area. I was going to use Milestone Electric but they were too busy to install my ceiling fans & wouldn't give me a price before they came out. They were going to charge a trip charge before they quoted me. Frisco Electric quoted me up front with no hidden costs. Curren was amazing & very helpful. These are my new electricians. Best electricans you could find

I had a very pleasant experience with Frisco Electric.They were very honest and did not try to sell me something I didn't need.I had received an estimate from a big name electrician company.The estimate was for $489 .Frisco Electric gave me an estimate of $240 for the same job! They completed the job and even though it was a bit more involved and more timely than expected,they didn't charge me extra ! They did an awesome job and I am so grateful I found such an honest and reputable company.

The office staff is very friendly and they are quick to get someone out as soon as possible. I like that they are priced hourly so no hidden fees or markups. Our tech was Curren and he did a great job with figuring out our electrical issues and was very thorough double checking to make sure everything was in good order. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to my friends in the Frisco area.
Vince is the best electrician I have ever worked with. He has helped me take care of my customers on a consistent basis, and has done an outstanding job with some very difficult projects. He wired two 3 phase pumps for me a few years ago, with control wiring. I don't think anyone else could have done it in the time frame we needed. Since then I have used him for many many projects. Great company!
I am very pleased with a recent experience I had with Frisco Electric. In particular the electrician that came to service our account, Aaron. The other night my husband accidentally cut a wire on our Christmas lights which in turn tripped up the breaker. After trying to fix the problem ourselves to no avail, we called Frisco Electric and another company to give us a quote. Frisco Electric was able to do so over the phone, (vs. their competitor), and so we asked them to come out and take a look. When Aaron got to our house, the outside outlet worked from something we had reset in our garage that evening, (unbeknownst to us), and so he didn't have to perform a service. Even though he should have charged us for the service call, he did not and just said to keep them in mind for next time. I highly recommend Frisco Electric for their customer service, integrity, and professionalism.

I've had what I thought was a strange electrical issue throughout a good portion of my house. I searched online for reputable electricians and saw that Frisco Electric had good reviews. When I called, the first person I spoke with was Julie. She was so amazing! Super nice, very through and even helped me troubleshoot a little on the phone. Incredibly pleasant to deal with. We made an appointment for the next day and I hung up feeling great about my choice so far. The next morning, Julie called me to tell me that the electrician was able to come early - imagine that! The electrician, Aaron, called me 10 minutes before my appointment to let me know he was on his way. Wow! He showed up on time, was incredibly polite and professional. He quickly diagnosed the issue (I had a short in a light fixture caused by a bad bulb that had melted a socket), repaired the socket, explaining all along the way what he was doing and why he was doing it, and then spent more time with me to explain all about the proper lighting for my rooms in my house. I was so impressed, I asked him to give me a quote on additional exterior lighting. He recommended a variety of alternatives and then shared the cheapest and most effective way to accomplish what we wanted in exterior lighting. And the cost for all this amazing service? Well, I felt guilty in how low it was. Completely blown away by Aaron, Julie and Frisco Electric. I've found my electrician for life and will be recommending them to everyone I know!
