17 years ago, EJ McCoy started a single owner lawn mowing service. That same business has evolved over the years to become one of the premier full-service lawn care and pest control companies in North Texas, Weed Xtinguishers. Very disappointed. I was a longtime customer, going back to WeedXtinguishers. I was very satisfied with WeedXtinguishers service and quality. Once Chorbie took over various things began to change. The price increased and the number of yearly treatments increased from 7 to 8 for some unknown reason. I began to notice my lawn did not look as thick or green as it once did but I stayed with Chorbie. I contacted them on several occasions to ask if they could do something to help my lawn and followed their advice including paying them to aerate my lawn, add peat moss to bare spots, water more often, etc... None of these made a difference and my lawn continued to look worse and worse. I had numerous brown patches and bare spots all over my lawn where the grass (Bermuda and St Augustine) was once thick and green. After I contacted Chorbie again to voice my concern about the state of my lawn, it took several weeks before they sent a service tech by to look at it and then they bragged about the fact they were not going to charge me to inspect it. I was informed I might have an irrigation system problem and they could send out their irrigation tech to check it for $129. I was also told they treated my lawn for fungus so that was not one of the contributing factors. At this point I gave up, canceled my service with Chorbie, treated my lawn for fungus myself since it had brown patches, and changed to a different lawn service company. Boom! In less than two weeks my brown patches began to clear up and the bare spots started to fill back in. Already it looks SO much better. I told Chrobie they were doing the exact same thing over and over and it was not working. I can't believe the difference already with service from the new company. I wonder now exactly what it was Chorbie was doing, because it looked like I was about to lose my lawn before I treated it and made the switch. In summary, I cannot recommend Chorbie for lawn service based on my experience with them over several years. They may offer all of these other services such as plumbing, irrigation systems, Junk removal, gutter cleaning, window washing, tree trimming, holiday lights, etc... but they have dropped the ball big time with their lawn service. Recommend you look elsewhere for quality lawn service.
Chorbie has provided us with fertilization and weed control services for several years. They send reminders about scheduled services and, after the job is complete, they send report with an assessment of the lawn condition and watering recommendations. We have not had issues with weeds or pests since we started to use their services.
Just started lawn service and fertilization with Chorbie-today was the first fertilization. I spoke with Taylor Garner as I was actually home when they were here. I felt like she took the time to evaluate my grass and what it needed. I have 3 different types of grass so it seemed like she was very knowledgeable. I look forward to having them take care of my yard and keep it looking great! Thanks
I have been using Chorbie for lawn care for about a year and a half, maybe 2 years. They're very reliable - they come mow your lawn on the set schedule/day they say they will. If they can't make it for any reason, they email me immediately with an update, which I appreciate. A lot of people on my street use various companies, and Chorbie is FAST compared to the rest. It's a big relief to not have the noise last too long. I sometimes wish they'd leafblow a bit more, but overall it's been fine.
I also use them for my weed prevention and fertilizing, which is a separate service/fee. My yard always looks better than my neighbors', so they are able to keep the weeds in check and my grass greener. I also used to have a small SDS (spring dead spot) and they got that taken care of. Taylor Garner, the tech, always sends an email after he visits, and I appreciate the tips in it. They tell me how long to run the various types of sprinklers in my yard at different times of the year, give advice on removing (or NOT) weeds, etc. It's helpful.
The only issues I've had have been fairly minor. The lawn care guys were scuffing my wooden fence door with their weed whacker. I let them know and I haven't seen it get worse or happening again. Their response was nice, very upset that it had happened, etc.
The only other thing is they have portals on their website where you can submit a request for quote - I've notices that sometimes the requests can sort of get lost, so it's usually better to follow up with a phone call to make sure they got the info.
Anyway. I recommend these folks for sure. I'd hire them again.

Stay away!
They were great for several years for us, then they must have new management because the customer service & quality of the service has declined significantly.
I called to cancel after 5+ years they were sad to see me go then without warning or getting my consent, then they promptly charged my card on file over $400!! There was no mention of this when on the phone to cancel. I called & I was brushed aside, not able to talk to anyone but a new young person who told me I should call customer service & that I owed that money & basically too bad..... I was sent a FINAL bill & I emailed to put in writing to NOT charge my card again...Then guess what? They had the audacity to charge me another $34!!! WTH?!!! I'm not done dealing with this but you have been warned!
I have been a client of Chorbie's for over 2 years. Their teams are always very polite, professional, and they do great work. The landscape and lawnwork they provided for me exceeded my expectations and looks amazing! I had neighbors stopping by asking who was doing the work so they can inquire as well. Thanks Chorbie!

Excellent customer service and technician. Kenny was thorough around my home being sure to remove all potential pest areas.
After I canceled the mowing service, I asked for a quote for Christmas light installation as I did let them know (when they asked why I was canceling) that I liked the service last year and the lights are already customized for my roof line. I never got a reply so 20 days later I followed up asking what the status was. I was told that due to my review they had understandably assumed I wouldn't be interested in doing further business with them. If I hadn't been interested, I wouldn't have asked for a quote. Due to such passive aggressive behavior toward a customer giving an honest review, I guess I'll need to find a new Christmas light installer. They apparently don't want to have to deal with me anymore.

Up until recently I was very happy with my Chorbie experience. I've been a mow, and weed/feed customer for almost 4 years, and had referred several folks to their company over past couple of years.
I can no longer recommend Chorbie and have already canceled the feed and feed service and will be canceling the mow service as well.
I informed them about a moth infestation in my front yard that I suspected was armyworms. A week later my grass started to deteriorate from being lush and green to dying and brown. I contacted them again after confirming armyworms were present using warm soapy water in a couple of isolated areas... the armyworms popped up in each area indicating an active infestation.
After waiting nearly a week with very little response, they indicated that I needed to prove to them my lawn was infested... but by then it was too late. Almost half my lawn was already damaged... what a joke.
Chorbie has grown too quickly and had lost their customer service. Too bad, since it was a great company a couple of years ago. I suspect they'll start struggling soon unless they turn it around.
Taylor Gardner came out today to treat our yard. Her communication was amazing. We have used Chorbie for over a year and have been very pleased with the service and communication with the company.
After my old lawn company messed up my lawn and provided no help, I switched over to Chorbie on the recommendation of a neighbor using them. They show up right on time in the morning every week, and their weed/fertilizer treatments are doing great. My lawn went from being tragic looking to completely green and lush.
So far so good!
I have been with Chorbie for over a year and all the services are great. Customer service is excellent. I will be using them for all my yard needs. Taylor G did an excellent job communicating and making sure my weeds were taken care of.

It used to be Weed Xtinguishers during its golden years, when professionalism, courtesy, and customer-focus was their mission objective and uniqueness. As a customer of fertilization and weed control, quality and responsiveness were evident, even though not perfect.
But then they decided to found Chorbie, started focusing more on expansion, profit maximization, and all the core strengths that made Weed Xtinguishers great started fading out week after week. It all started with the price increase, which was nominal but still the highest in the type of fertilization service in the area. Then the quality of results began declining. Now they are at a point, where they barely find techs to respond to your re-service requests, in time.
They have forgotten to underpromise but over-deliver. Customer satisfaction and quality is a secondary goal if the time and resource are available, but the main is to bring in new customer, more revenue.
To be honest, I have never been completely satisfied with the fertilization and weed control as a service, but was more with them, about their online payment setup, advance email/text alert system. My neighbors all have better-looking yards with the same type of service with different vendors. I just don't like putting money under mats and surprise visits. So, that had been the only reason I have stayed with them for so many years. But results of the spray/service have been sub-par.
So, I don't recommend it, if you are really looking for results. But if you want something that takes online payments and sends you alerts, look no further, you have reached the right business.
*****Update:
I left a voicemail with complaint and within minutes David followed up with apology and personally showed up at the house to ensure the service exceeds our expectations.
Jeremy here replied in public, as you can see, he owned the responsibility and vowed to make it right. This speaks of this firm's integrity and delivering white-glove customer service. Things may happen every now and then as its a service industry but customer-focused businesses take the ownership, accept the responsibility, and then make it right. So full and all stars to Chorbie's excellent customer service. I am a HUGE FAN again. I have referred them in my neighborhood a lot.
Taylor and Rick came by today for weed/fungus service. This is their second attempt since they accommodated me due to unexpected construction in the yard. Taylor was happy to oblige. Rick knocked out the service while Taylor walked the yard explaining what to do in the trouble areas and answering all my rookie questions. I am a return customer and I will be considering other services in the near future. Thank you Taylor, Rick, and Chrobie.
First, I did not use them for any service. Instead, I requested a quote. Since then, I have gotten a phone call, a text, an email and now flyers in the email every day for the last 10 days. Does a company need to bombard you with this constant irritation? It did help in my decision. Finally called and told them to stop and would not be using them.
I rarely leave negative reviews but I was frustrated by my experience with the company and want to save others from the hassle of experiencing what i did. I contacted the company 2 weeks ago for their bush and bed service and informed them that we were in need of immediate service. I filled out the questionnaire and necessary registration and received an email that my service was scheduled for Tuesday 8/24. Shortly after I received another email that it was rescheduled to Wednesday 8/25. They never came to service the property on 8/25 so I called and was informed it had been moved to Friday 8/27 with no notification sent to me. The agent also promised that it would be done on Friday when I complained about the delay/poor communication.
Well it was not done on Friday 8/25 and when i called I was informed it was moved to today 8/30 again with no notification. The agent also promised to look into what happened but I never got a call back. Only for me to call today to ask when the service would be performed and was informed that it was rescheduled and they could not give a specific date this week due to their busy schedule. I have used several lawn care services in the past but I never got a chance to evaluate their work as I had to cancel and look for alternative service. Booking an initial service should not be this problematic and the company should communicate changes in service dates to their customers in a timely manner when it needs to be changed.

I've been using Chorbie (formally Weed Xtinguishers) for 3 years and have continued to receive great service and quality weed control and pest control treatments. After the last pest treatment 2 wks ago, I had continued to have some ants issues outside. But their team came back out to resolve the issue. This time Tyler was sent out and took care of the issue. He even noticed some ants in another area I didn't even see myself. He is very thorough, courtesy, and professional. High-Five to Tyler!

This company is the best! I use them for mowing, landscaping, fertilization & pest extermination. I love having one place that can take care of so many needs. I have been with them for about a year now & have no complaints. Everybody there is so helpful & nice. Jeremy is the best for all your landscaping needs and Katie has always been so friendly on the phone. Hire them, you won't regret it!

Big shout out to Taylor G for keeping my yard beautiful!! I believe I am the only yard in the neighborhood not overrun with weeds. Chorbie is great I also use them for irrigation/sprinkler checks and repair as well. Love these people! Have been using them a couple of years now.

We have been using Chorbie for our yard weed and fertilization program going on two years now and they have just been great! This year they offered us a one time free junk removal service that came in handy - WOW what a great company! Drew and Marco came out and hauled off a king-size mattress and box spring for us and both were neat and had a professional attitude and of course were adhering to pandemic protocol by wearing a mask. We had our lawn service today. Just wanted to make sure that Taylor gets credit for excellent service to our lawn. She is conscientious and efficient...pointed out an issue with my irrigation system, which I wasn't aware of. Chorbie saved my yard! When I moved into my house 3 years ago, all my yard consisted of was dirt and random patches of weed. They came through with their promise to bring it back to life, and now my yard is the most beautiful of all the houses in my neighborhood. I hired them to mow my lawn and bag the grass. Well, they didn't bag the grass so I complained. Then they started mowing the yard with the bagging attachment, but with the side chute open on the lawn mower so that some grass went into the bag but most of it went out the side. This seems dishonest to me.
Chorbie, you've been horbie. We hired your team to mow our parents lawn and give us back time on the weekends and keep up with HOA lawn requirements. How disappointed that of the 4 or so visits, my Mom has to check to make sure the lawn is fully cut and call to have it redone. And last week, I had to take pictures of the mohawk lines where grass is obviously not cut...cutting a yard so small shouldn't need to be babysat by senior citizens or my family.
On Monday this week I called for the third time and was reassured on the phone and also in email that today's Friday service would be monitored for QA. And? No one showed up to cut the lawn today...and it isn't raining.
Cancelling and fully expect a credit for today and last weeks service.

I was selling my house and needed a pest control ASAP so tried Chorbie but after giving my credit card I was forgotten. After 15 days I still was not on the schedule. Everytime I emailed it took them until the next day to even respond. Over 20 days later after saying I was going to cancel, they final scheduled my service BUTTTTT the day of the service they did not show up, no call no email. When I called the next day to get the invoice they told me they did not come because I was not home even though per the email it was for outside so I did not need to be home. Now I am 3 days from closing and have no pest control. So disappointing.
Jason serviced our yard most recent. Prepared it for the winter and gave us all the information on exactly what he did and any recommendations he had. I highly recommend Chorbie. They always leave us something on a door that they were there and email us exactly what they did and any recommendations.
Chorbie does such a great job mowing my grass, that i hired them to clean my flowerbeds from grass and weeds. I am highly impressed with the quality of work Chorbie does. I intend to hire them for their other services too.

She's left detailed notes for us and recommendations on how to improve our lawn. We moved in December 2020. I cancelled my service, with confirmation. However, they went back in March at the start of their season, and billed be for service. I contacted them regarding this, and confirmed cancellation yet again. A refund check was in the mail, however my bank refuses to accept its an actual check. Now they mowed AGAIN, so I now I'm furiously frustrated.

So professional & did a perfect job. Yard looks amazing & they even sent a manager out to do a random inspection. Of all of the companies that I hired to do yard work they did the best job & will continue to use their services. Cannot praise them enough

I'm having Chorbie do my much needed Bush and Bed service. I've never had to do this before and it's a little daunting. However, Lauren in the office has gone above and beyond taking care of all my questions and needs. She has the service set up they way we planned within a budget I can afford. I use Chorbie for so many different things now that I'm thankful Lauren is there to help me navigate through it all.
Jose Rodriguez III is our tech and always does a great job. Goes above and beyond! Not only fertilizes but spot treats stray weeds. Offers great advise and watering and improvements.
I've been with Chorbie since April 2015, so exactly 5 years now. They've done everything from my weekly mowing, to mulch and sod installations, to monthly mosquito spraying (in the spring/summer) and installing a wifi-based sprinkler management system. They even take a picture when the yard is done to show me that the gates have been shut. Basically everything I need done in my yard, they've been able to help me. Most of all, I love how fast they respond to any of my questions, issues (very rare) or new requests. Even though it's usually by email because of my own communication preference, it's almost like having a live conversation. I highly recommend them!
This is a convenient lawn care and yard maintenance company based in Frisco with a fully integrated web-based service scheduling system that is very responsive but their hourly service billing is [no longer! lol] a crime. Minimum wage in Texas is only $7.25/hour and they quoted $129/hour for a two man team by phone which was then scheduled by their service team for the following week plus. The crew ended up spending five hours onsite tackling our overgrown bushes and they did a very thorough and complete job.
I still consider the final invoice to be somewhat pricy but I'm glad we had the work done and their billing was accurate. We may end up looking into some DIY trimming workshops to maintain this ourselves but I'm glad we have a good service option to fall back on.
I was unhappy with my unreliable lawn service and Chorbie has risen to what I expect from a company. Responsive, very good communication, reliable, and affordable. They offer many more services that I will not hesitate to use when needed.
The customer service sucks at communicating at this company. They get appointment times wrong, communicate wrong things to their crews, and even incorrectly charge for services I never got. For example, they lied on the phone once about fertilizing during a past visit when the tech clearly told me at the time that he was only doing weed control. Another time, a mower did not bag my grass but their office still charged me for that afterwards. I told their office before the mow, after the mow, and then after the incorrect charge. It took three weeks to get them to credit the incorrect charge back after it went through their Review team. Thats laughable. This is just a sampling of their annoyances. Its very tiring to address all the time. There seems to be a major disconnect with their office people and field people. I would say the office uses a bad system bc they constantly make errors. I need a company that I can put into motion and not hold by the hand. I cancelled services with them bc I had to call them like 7-8 times over 2 months to clarify issues. I just don't have the time. Really bad communicators. They make it a point to use memorized lingo after every single sentence...I'm so sorry, we are committed to serving you. Its so annoying after every sentence. It truly becomes so disingenuous and fake, especially when they don't follow through. Sooo tired of dealing with them. I stayed way too long hoping that the bad communications would stop and I could go on to just living life...but no...im moving on and so should you
I have been using Chorbie for lawn care and pest control for the 2020, and they have been absolutely great. The lawn looks better than ever. Their prices are very reasonable, and the service is the best we have received (always punctual, explanation of services to be completed, emails after services are completed with details of the service and picture of closed/secure gate, explanation, etc.).
I decided to use them for additional tree trimming services as well as the removal of a couple of Junipers. Jeremy Lowe came out to do the estimate and was very helpful and knowledgeable. Michael Bridges and Eric (didn't get last name) did the actual service. Michael was very helpful and did an amazing job.

I have Chorbie's pest service and mowing service. Kenny is my pest technician and always does a great job. The mowing service always does a great job as well, always on time.
Taylor and the crew at Chorbie are very knowledgeable and have helped guide me after recently buying a new home with a large backyard! I have only purchased 3-4 applications of the fertilization and weed control that started around September of 2020, so its difficult to grade the fertilization piece in such a short time. The 3 stars is only reflecting my inability to judge the full magnitude of the results. Customer service and communication are a 5 star rating.
I sent an email for lawn care and never got a response. Not sure how many stars to give since I really can't evaluate their service! Makes me skeptical.
Update: They responded and then gave excellent service!
Taylor treated our lawn again today. She always does a great job. Very dependable. We have the best grass in the neighborhood.
We lost the man who always cut our lawn when we moved, and I was nervous to switch to someone new after 12 years, BUT chorbie made the switch so easy! They show up on time, do a great job and are very professional. If you need a quality company, this is it!
Charged me over$400 dollars for leaf cleanup for a small backyard with one tree. They never responded when I tried to remedy the issue. Then threatened a mechanic's lean because I hadn't paid. Poor business practice.
I have been a custom mer fir more than a year. I have three neighbors that have gone with this service also. I needed them to come spray for army worms. Called them early when they opened. I called them three times... I was desperate for the spray treatment. No Mgr has called me! I asked for what the schedules were this year and what they used on our different types of treatments so far.
I haven't gotten a response. So I would defiantly check customer service, connected to other companies. Chorbie has let me down!
After a year and a half, I have now fired them at 2 locations. They have broken more sprinkler heads than can be imagined. They leave the notice on the door after they come, but never ring the bell to let you know they have put chemicals on your yard. Not did I get an advanced email notice.
I have to go to a door we never use to find out, after the dogs have been in the back. Lots of other good services to take care of my yard.
Elric Eaton was once again my technician. He was very thorough. Very friendly and professional. He gave me some advice on what to do with certain areas of my lawn. Very helpful.

I gave this company so many chances, until yesterday. Yesterday was the final straw. Their mowers, for some reason, leave my grass too long that by the time they are back a week later (I got the weekly service), my grass is over a foot long. I called a couple of times to complain about the mowers not mowing properly. But that's not why I terminated their service yesterday. Yesterday, it was going on 6pm and no mowers. They come on Wednesdays. So I called the office to ask where they were. I was told that the mowers skipped my house because of dogs in the yard. I told them my dogs are indoor dogs. They are spoiled and pampered. They don't roam out in the yard. Then she said, oh, the mowers said it's because of too much dog waste. I said, nice try. I pick them up every morning, before they come. She said they have photos. I said, show me the photos because I already knew someone was lying and it was not me. Then I told her that I have cameras surrounding the entire house and it records activities, 24/7. The cameras would have picked up any activity as soon as it's in front of my driveway. Then I told her to show me their photos of dog waste because my cameras never even showed them entering the back yard where I also have cameras. Then she said, ok, I will send them out tomorrow, which was not the scheduled service, but because she ran out of lies. I told them never to come back. I've had it with this company. They not only offer poor service, they are also LIARS. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Fantastic customer service, easy to set up payment, and totally reliable. They have lots of services, options for schedules, and I even got a big discount on my first service. Other companies didn't return my calls or wouldn't provide quotes - chorbie took away all the stress and simply got it done! They are so friendly on the phone, too!
I am really impressed with Chorbie so far! They have been very detailed with their messages, explaining what they will be doing to kill my weeds and even sent a detailed email with a report of what they did after they came to service my yard. Their tech Jacob L. was also extremely knowledgeable and helpful!
Chorbie did a fantastic job with our front yard flower beds, shrubs, and trees. (This included two spiral-trimmed boxwoods that my wife was very nervous about). Noah even checked in with us afterward to make sure everything was satisfactory. I forgot to include a bush on the side of our house in the quote request, but the crew trimmed it anyway. Love the attention to detail and going the extra mile. Very satisfied customer!

I am a current customer and really this company is just okay. They are better lately than they were when I first started using them. I did a lot of research to try and find a company to take care of my lawn when we moved into the area and ended up choosing this company for lawn maintenance and weed and feed. The first season using this company, the guys to come and mow were pretty inconsistent. They would come out on the wrong day, miss weeks, etc. They would also come within an hour after a rain which I don't love because we end up with an inconsistent cut. This summer they run like a clock though and it seems like they just needed time to get us fixed into their rotation maybe? Ultimately, they are affordable compared to their competition and I like that they lower their frequency of mowing on their own based on the time of year. I do have less weeds in my yard as well even if the nutsedge is out of control which they tell me they can't do anything about.
Overall, they are good enough that I wouldn't cancel them, but they aren't so good that someone else couldn't earn my business if they really wanted to. Hopefully the trend will continue and I will feel even better about them a year from now.
Chorbie has almost always done a good job at reasonable prices. I have been a client since 2018, and they've always worked hard to resolve any issues and problems that I have. Keep up the good work!

We just started using Chorbie in Frisco and we are very please with the easiness and overall professionalism. It's very much sit back and relax as far as your yard is concerned. Michael Bridges did a great job applying fertilizer yesterday afternoon.
These guys are fantastic!! They do an amazing job on the lawn, and I love that I can setup my payment online and get email confirmation every time they come out. Much easier than writing a check and tucking it somewhere for someone to pick up. They also offer mulch, weed pulling, tree/bush trimming, and can apparently even plant your flowers if you buy them! I bought my house last year and was so glad to find them for my huge yard.
Now that they've expanded their services to cover all kinds of home stuff, I'm excited to continue using them. Their customer service is top notch, they reply SO FAST when you need help, and I appreciate that they always have quality people doing the work. One guy even helped me chase down my dog when she got out because I didn't realize they were here!
Bonus? If you have dogs they have a partner that will pick up the poop from your yard the day before they mow! Perfect!!
I have given Chorbie a five star rating. They are such a diversified company. Every time I call and need a service to be done, there crew is at my home within hours. They are very efficient and knowledgeable. There costs are competitive and many times lower than other companies. If I could give them a ten, if that would be possible, I would do so. I recommend them to one and all. There team is wonderful. Both Jeremy's, Courtney, Rebekah, Lauren and Meagan are gems. I do not know what I would do without their patience and understanding. Rarely do you come across a company these days that communicate well & truly cares about your concerns.
Before each visit, I get a phone call & email notification. After each visit, I get a follow up email report.
Communicating with them through email was easy. They reply the same day. I can have my concerns answered immediately.
They came out quite soon to fix additional issues I had with my lawn at no extra charge since I signed up a yearly program with them. Their employee is very professional, goes above & beyond. I'm very satisfied with their customer service. Highly recommend !

Chorbie handles our lawn fertilization and weed control and they do an excellent job. Jose Rodriguez is my current technician and he is very thorough with treating all areas of the yard and leaving notes for us. I have also used Chorbie to pressure washing and mosquito control. Very happy with their services.

I just had a fertilization treatment for my yard by Michael Bridges and, as usual, was very pleased with the report from him. We have used Chorbie for almost 2 years now for lawn mowing, fertilizing, weed control and then also for putting in 2 flower beds in our back yard. Jeremy Lowe is AWESOME! He is very knowledgeable and really knows his stuff! He answered many many, questions we had, he gave us samples to look at, and he took his time making sure we were happy before & during our project. We had one issue with drainage after install and he came back out and addressed it right away, he came up with a solution and resolved it! His install team was great, they worked hard and were super polite. Ryan was also great with our project and also with planting annuals and refreshing all of our annual mulch. Our lawn service is reliable, he works quickly and does a great job. I recently had an issue with our normal sprinkler service (not Chorbie) so in the future I will call Chorbie for that too after receiving a recent quote from Chorbie that is very competitive. Honestly they are becoming our go to for all things outside. We have been very pleased with all services so far & we definitely recommend them!

As long as we have owned a house, my husband has maintained our yard. He takes huge pride in keeping our yard looking at its best. This year his work schedule became a little more complicated and he finally handed over the the yard treatments to a professional. That is where Taylor from Chorbie stepped in. She came out came out and sprayed the yard with the very first chorbie treatment. A few weeks later my husband took the time to stop and comment that our yard has never looked better! We are so pleased!
Now that the yard has gone dormant for the winter, I thought her job would end. But it has not...she continues to come out, do spot treatments for weeds and pretreatments to keep away future weeks. She provides a detailed report each time. My husband is a happy man!
And also, let me tell you about Tyler. He has handled the big control at our house. Tyler is my hero, keeping the bugs away!! Yes, he does the typical big spray that others do. But he does so much more. He walks around, identifies problem/potential problem are and tells me about them. He also looks closely at bugs to really identify them. Did you know that all ants are not created equal? Did you know they react differently to different treatments. I didn't...until Tyler examined them at my house and told why he was treating a certain way. Amazing !

I just chose Chorbie two days ago as my new Landscaping group. Today they sent out Michael P. to fertilize and control weeds. He was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. I'm counting on the results being just as positive.
This past week I had my front yard core aerated. The Chorbie worker did a good job, but inevitably hit a sprinkler head. Today Matt from Chorbie came out to repair the sprinkler head. He was courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. When he saw another sprinkler head that was damaged, probably not by the core aeration, he offered to fix it at no charge. Chorbie and Matt are top notch!
Jacob came out today for a sprinkler assessment and did a phenomenal job. Very detailed and explained all issues he found and fixed them. Very polite and l could tell he wanted to do a perfect job and not just fix it and get out of there. I would recommend Chorbie for any future sprinkler repair jobs and will be calling them again if necessary!

I've used Chorbie for over 4 years now and absolutely love the service. Richard is the tech who comes to our home and does an exception job. He's very knowledgeable when I have questions and take the time to ensure our lawn is well taken care of. I absolutely recommend Richard and the Chorbie team for your fertilizer/lawn maintenance needs.
I've had every kind of yard service/landscape available. From the guy-with-a-truck-and -a-mower to the big corporate entity that charges astronomical prices for half done jobs. It really is shocking how much the big corporate services charge. And the level of care to their tasks is so poor.
Somehow I stumbled upon Chorbie. I can't recall how I did but I am very fortunate that I did. They absolutely hit the sweet spot of big firm resources but don't absolutely bludgeon you on price. I particularly like the online interface to request specific tasks and regular scheduling of different services.
The best part are the people of Chorbie. From California Katie in the office to Jeremy Lowe managing larger projects, they perform at a high level. I am most impressed with the fellas that do the hard work. I have had Colive & Zach out to my house a couple of times. These guys don't slack off and they take pride in the work that they do. But the best part is how they represent Chorbie. They are great ambassadors of the firm and how they deal with clients. I can't say enough good things about them. So much so it inspired me to write this review.
Chorbie handles my fertilization/weed control and recently did some landscaping work for me. Couldn't be happier with the result. I would definitely recommend these guys!
Wanted to give a shout out to Michael Bridges and Ryan Hampton who came out and did a fantastic tree service for my yard. They removed two problem trees and trimmed two others. Been a customer since 2018. This company used to be great when they were WeedXtinguishers. Since changing to Chorbie I've not only been nickel & dimed to death for every little thing, but the most recent customer service rep Marcela has put a horrible taste in my mouth. I really almost canceled my service after this last interaction with her, and still might. I need to sleep on it.
Long story short, I requested a change to my service that should have been very simple, but has instead turned into a pain in the a$$ because this customer service rep dropped the ball and then instead of taking responsibility, tried to turn it around on me.
Not only that, last summer I had to reach out to them multiple times after the service I was given was just sloppy and inconsistent. The guy who does my lawn right now does a really great job, but to be honest I HATE dealing with their customer service so much that it's almost not worth it.
I work so damn hard for my money, nothing pisses me off more than a company who acts like having your business doesn't matter to them at all.

So polite over the phone, but the lawn service (weed treatment) is awful. They are slow to address problems. They are disorganized; the technician that treats weeds is different than the one that treats your ornamentals. Scheduling is a nightmare. They try to retain your business with empty promises that it takes time to see improvement. By the time they do something, it is too late. I am so glad I cancelled before my lawn was totally destroyed.

Thank you Taylor Garner, my lawn looks better and better year after year! Taylor has been taking care of my weed control and fertilization for quite some time and has done an incredible job. Always communicating with me before and after my scheduled visits, and sometimes while at my home. If I have any questions or concerns, I just pop outside and discuss with Taylor.

They are a larger lawn company with professional workers, easy to reach customer service and good quality mowing, pest and weed control. Never had any issues with appointments or billing.
They charge a premium price, so you can probably find cheaper service elsewhere, but might be worth the premium if you value good service.
Taylor Garner is taking good care of my lawn. He always follows up with the details, observations, and recommendations I highly recommend Chorbie.
I have only had one pest service so far and they seem like a good company. I was disappoint that after the service they asked via email if I wanted to tip the service man. This was never brought up during the sales process. I have had a number of pest companies over the years the this is the first to ask if I wanted to tip. If I leave them this will be the reason.
I've been using Chorbie for the past year, and I've really enjoyed their weed services. One of my favorite technicians is Michael Bridges, as he gave us really good advice on why our lawn was dying it certain spots (it was bunnies!) and how we could help recover it. Thank you Chorbie!

They don't pick up the phone. We left a message and they emailed that they would be at our house on a certain day...did not ask us. In fact, they didn't give us a time either.
We emailed back. No response.
I called several times. No one answered the phone.
Left a VMM. No call back.

Colive, Marcos and Zack came to my house, laid all my new grass with added dirt and even accepted a card my son made and put in the mailbox since we couldn't get close to them to shake their hands. These were the nicest guys ever. They even gave me advice and listened to all my yard killing stories. I will always use them for lawn, garden and pest help. Thank you so much.
Had someone come out for a weeding only service in our flower beds. They cut down our bushes (which we told them not to do) and instead of weeding just took a blade and cut the weeds down vs. pulling them... which is an ineffective treatment for weeds as they will just grow back. I'm still waiting to hear back from customer service who seems to be unreachable by both email and phone.
Very happy with Chorbie's work on my back yard. Much better than the company my HOA uses for the front yards. When I moved into my house about a year ago, the back yard was a mess. Soil erosion, bare spots, drainage issues, tree stumps, and the wrong type of grass on a shaded side of the house. Jeremy Lowe came out to the house and did a detailed analysis of everything that could be done to fix it, and provided separate and detailed proposals for each component. Once it was all completed, Jeremy walked me through everything they did to make sure I was satisfied. On the maintenance side, Michael Bridges does a great job. They let me know when I'm scheduled, reschedule if rain is expected, and go beyond what's expected in cleaning up. I get an email from Michael detailing what was done and any recommendations. Overall very satisfied with Chorbie.

We've used several services from Chorbie since we bought our home, including their weekly lawn mowing, bush trimming, fertilizer, bug and mosquito treatment, sod installation and Christmas light hanging, and all of their services are top-notch and done to perfection. But over the last 3 months, they have exceeded what I would expect from any service provider, as they have shown me incredible kindness and generosity. My family suffered a major tragedy 3 months ago which, among many things, caused a financial hardship on me. I called Chorbie to explain the situation and ask that all of my lawn services be removed except for my weekly mowing. After losing money from all of the extra services that I had removed from our account, Chorbie discounted my weekly lawn service AND sent me a condolence card, signed by the Chorbie staff. Last week, I thought that I had an emergency leak with my sprinkler system. Since my house was about to go under contract, I called Chorbie in a panic and their irrigator literally left a job to rush to my house. It turned out to not be a leak at all and just a valve that was not turned on all the way. And of course, they did not charge me for that emergency visit, because THAT, my friends, is the Chorbie way. When you become a Chorbie customer, you become family. I can't thank them enough so I will continue to refer everyone I know to them :)

I hired Chorbie in 2021 because I wanted a wonderful lawn . I had a problem with nutsedge and other weeds in the yard so i thought it was time to hire professionals. They did a good job of communicating with me when they are coming and putting alot of stuff on my lawn . The grass did look good for a while then it didnt and the result was complete replacement of the lawn this year .

My lawn was green, luscious, and healthy, but it was getting overgrown. I called Chorbie. They recommended cutting it every week and sold me on their service to do it. About three weeks later, after Chorbie, my lawn is yellow, sickly, patchy, and dead. I am not satisfied.

Noah Davis along with another gentleman came out today and cleaned up all the leaves around our property. They did a fantastic job, and were thorough in ensuring everything was to our satisfaction. I highly recommend Chorbie for any lawn or pest service you might want. They are competitively priced and well worth every penny.
I hired Chorbie in May of this year for 5 pending projects on my mini plot per their website and reviews. Only 1 project has been done, with mediocre results at best. A landscaper even left his big, floppy tan hat on my lawn in plain sight. I called, no one came for it. Every time I called or emailed about bad mowing etc, I was reassured that I was correct then directed to their website to set up other services. I was not allowed to request services verbally. For complaints or callbacks, I was always told the responsible person was unavailable, the crew would be told or a foreman would be out. After the mowers ripped several sprinkler heads out and just left them on my sidewalk without telling Chorbie or me, I called and the sprinkler foreman came out anonymously and possibly made repairs then stole the flag markers they forced me to place. When I complained, he or someone anonymously returned SOME of them. The lawn foreman came out, on the wrong date (their office gave me a date which was the same as my mow date and promised he would inspect before any mowing but gave him a different date after the mow date??). He never contacted me plus resolved nothing. I had even left a nice note on the door due to COVID. He only spoke (loudly & unmasked) to my extremely nosey next door neighbor. They are billing me 100% for incomplete work on my mini-plot and insist I am at fault for not providing pictures from the beginning. Google Earth in today's technology can see my house, why can't you Chorbie? No alternate service, apology or discount has ever been offered.
Found Chorbie by a recommendation from a colleague, further supported by exceptional reviews. Have to say, I'm impressed with the services both from office in setting up services as well as by the service provide. Taylor Garner provided my first service and was exceptional. On time, thorough and communicate during process.
