Amazing service! I had to reroute the gas line in the kitchen due to a mini remodel. The new stove bumped the gas line as it was originally ran outside of the wall. (Weird I know - it's an old home) regardless they came out and quoted $285 to reroute the line inside of the wall and place a box did the connection so it would be flush with the wall. I thought it might be a bit pricey but it was worth every dollar. They swapped it out in about 30 mins. Swept up after themselves and picked up all the trash. They even reconnected my connection I had on the old bit so my stove would be an easy connection.

As if the experience couldn't get any better - before they left they asked where is your water heater?. It had completely slipped my mind that it would need to be relit and they relit it for me just to make sure that everything was left just as they found it.

Save your money. Do not hire Julio Chavez if you want to deal with an honest person. Here are the words to describe him: liar, dishonest, complete ripp off and disrespectful. He does a lousy job, every work he does is in a hurry and he is getting paid RIDICULOUS amounts of money. Always taking shortcuts rather than doing the work properly. Always making excuses that if you want the job done your way it is going to cost you more money and he would need to destroy more things in the house so you do not persist with your suggestions. Plummers like Julio Chavez do not deserve to get work from honest people.

I am a Realtor and am asked for referrals all the time. I live on the north side and was referred by a AC/Heat company that we use all the time. I am always working so I called this company regarding a slow drain in my Master Shower. He went over on Saturday, said he did a clean out on the drain and asked me to Venmo him $385, which I did. I have cameras all around my house so I knew he was there less than 45 minutes. The next time I used my shower, same problem, he had not fixed anything at all. I had to call another plumber out to do what he claimed to have done. I called his office and told them I wanted a refund and they refused.  I would never recommend this company to anyone, the man is a crook.

When I called Chavez Plumbing, I was desperate to find a plumber who could take care of two clogged faucets and a water heater without a pilot. Because of the winter storm, most plumbers were too busy to care about my non-storm job. I even had one plumber who came to give me an estimate, and never came back to actually do the job.

Chavez Plumbing managed my expectations prior to the service call and came to my home as scheduled. After looking at the issues, the plumber from Chavez Plumbing went to Home Depot get the needed parts and fixed the issues on the spot.

Executive Summary: These guys have changed my belief that many plumbers are incompetent. Especially since they sort of agree with me.

I have been building a house for the past year and a half and plumbing has been the bane of my existence during this time.  I literally went through three plumbers on this job. Near the end, I had persistent problems withe work and decided to give these guys a shot. The owner came out the next day and, after we both whined to each other about how crappy plumbers give the good guys a black eye, he got to work and fixed four problems.  They are gone. Now I have heres and theres and he's been back twice to take care of them.

His prices are fair and reasonable. The response time is quick and communication is excellent. I've referred a friend to them and she was pleased with the work as well.

Extremely professional. Even without looking at my toilet first, they brought with them what turned out to be exactly the part that was needed. Fixed in quickly; no up-selling.  I have used them before and will continue to use them!

I called Chavez Plumbing to have gas line tested in a rental property after waiting 3 days for another plumber to show. They showed up the very same day, about 45mins after calling. All city permits were handled and the city inspector approved their work the next morning. These guys are very serious about customer service.

Gabriel and Francisco came out a couple hours after calling the office which was a great and fast response time!  The bronze flange needed to be replaced and soldered in. Gabriel had everything replaced and resealed - also cleaned up the area and took the trash with them in about an hour.  We also received a quote for changing out our galvanized piping for PEX.  Both gentlemen did a great job!  Price for changing out the bronze flange and resealing was $385. They also tightened up another part of the toilet that was loose for me and checked my bathtub for poor drainage!

Called Chavez based on recommendations from my HOA FB page.  They arrived shortly after I called about a leaking pipe.  Friendly... explained the problem and solution. Cleaned up after.  Price was reasonable.

I was very impressed with Chavez Plumbing.  I discovered the connection to the cold water copper tubing above my hot water heater was leaking.  I tried to fix the leak, but to no avail.  I searched Angies list and saw Chavez Pluming was a top-rated company, so I decided to give them a call.

He arrived in just under an hour (they were in my neighborhood on another job).  Mr. Chavez replaced the copper tubing for both the hot and cold water with much stronger and heavier-weight copper tubing.  He showed me the copper tubing I had was cheap and was about ready to burst.  He sealed the connections, and waited to make sure the connections were sealed tight and wouldn't leak.

Mr. Chavez was very professional, personable and charged a very reasonable rate ($165).  He cleaned up everything (including the water) and took the wet towels with him.

I've used several plumbers before and received spotty work and have been charged a fortune (most of these plumbers you would recognize their names because they advertise a lot).  I'm glad to have found Chavez Plumbing.  I will use them again.

UPDATE:  Another review for Chavez Plumbing - July 31, 2012

I needed to replace the washers in my Kohler kitchen sink faucet.  I've changed washers in previous faucets I owned that knew this would be a simple job.  I received a free washer kit from Kohler (it has a lifetime warranty), and started taking the faucet apart...I only needed to remove the outside body.  After about an hour of pulling and tugging, I couldn't seem to remove the body of the faucet to replace the washers.  I even tried using a screw driver to leverage it off.  Nothing worked.

Feeling stupid and embarrassed, I called Chavez Plumbing.  They came out the next morning.  Well, they pulled and tugged and even added some lubrication and after an hour, couldn't get the outside body off either.  I contacted Kohler and they told me they would send me another faucet.

Now, here's what you won't believe...Chavez Plumbing would not charge me for the visit, or the hour they spent working!!  They told me they didn't fix it, so they shouldn't charge me.  I told them when I received the new faucet I would call them, which I did.  They came out the second time, took out the old faucet and installed the new one.  Took about an hour.  They only charged me $140.

Another great experience with Chavez Plumbing!

During the Freeze Watch of Houston 2011 when everyone was freaking out, I was stupidly affected because my pipes were frozen. Yes, I did leave the faucet on to stream, but during noon time, I stopped and it still got frozen! Anyway, I called a plumber and this was the closet to my house.

The home visit is $65, but since I was nearby, it was free of charge. They will inspect the problem and give you an estimate, and you decide if you want to continue or not. Two men arrived quickly and were ready to find out what the problem was. One of them did not know that much English while the other seemed to know a bit more. There was an English barrier but it wasn't so much that it hindered anything. After 1 1/2 hours, they had replaced the pipes with a new one, and I finally had running water.

As I said before, they are to give you an estimate before they start the job. They began work before giving me an estimate. I did call and told them about that, and the woman did say it's standard policy for them to give me an estimate. She refunded me some money back which was better than nothing.

They did their job and was efficient. My deal was the language barrier, not given an estimate before the job, and lack of communication. While they were working, they would not communicate to me what they were doing or what was going on. I had to continuously ask questions to make sure they were doing their job correctly. They did an okay job overall. I'm sure there are other better plumbers

We had a leak in our water main and first called Village Plumbing. They said they would come between 8 am and 1 pm. They finally showed up at 6pm and quoted a full day of work & $2000. A coworker told me he had something similar done a month before for $400 by a plumber in Spring. So I looked for  another plumber on Yelp and called Chavez plumbing; they showed up on time, quoted $285 and completed the repair in  30 minutes. Needless to say we will be using Chavez for all our plumbing needs.

Quick, clean, quiet. No complaints. Used to replace the wax ring and reset a poorly installed commode. They were delayed at prior call and the office kept calling to update me.

In 2010 Chavez Plumbing installed PEX throughout my home, as my 35 year old iron pipes started to leak; one of them bursting. It took 2 days; however, he made sure I had one working toilet and shower, and running water to at least one sink at nighttime between the two days. They worked closely with the Pasadena plumbing inspectors, making sure all codes were met. They had to cut but a few holes in the drywall. Patching was a snap, as they cut squares that went back in place. I had only to tape, float, and paint.  I am extremely pleased with constant, equalized water pressure, and no worries about bursting pipes. My wife has not screamed since (me flushing while she showers).  His pricing was competitive, his work impeccable, and workers very attentive to cleanness.

These guys were AWESOME.  I called several other plumbers before I found these guys... the either didn't show up or didn't call back, etc.  These guys answered on a Saturday morning, showed up within a few hours, quoted me a fair price, got the job done well, and quickly (we had a leak in our front yard).  Additionally, as they were confirming the water worked inside the house, they realized the airator of one of our sinks wasn't working well (I just thought it was bad water pressure), so replaced it for no cost - it wasn't an expensive piece, but it was REALLY nice to see people go a little above and beyond.  Highly recommend and would use again!

I had Chavez Plumbling out to address some minor plumbing issues. They replaces a flapper on a commode that was running and tightened a sink faucet. They also looked at a leak in the garage, which I decided to deal with at another time, and they looked at another commode which runs occassionally, but they couldn't see a problem--I appreciate their honesty on that one. They didn't give me an estimate before starting the job.

The time for actual labor was well under one hour, and I assumed that the replacement parts were inexpensive, although they were gone an hour to get a flapper. They handed me a bill for $285.00. I expressed surprise, and was given a 10% discount by using a coupon from Angie's List which the guy had with him. $256.50. But my bigger issue is that he could not itemize the bill. I have no idea how much was for labor, parts, or whatever else made the bill that much. The guy didn't know; said that was what he was told to charge. I talked to  Julio at the office and he couldn't tell me either. I paid in full, but I will not be using them again.

We recently used Chavez Plumbing to repair a busted water line under our house. We first called another plumber who came out, could not assess the problem and took 7 hours of our time. The next day, we had two guys from Chavez come out. They not only assessed the problem, but repaired it all within a few hours. They were very professional and even took the time to draw out the pipes under the house and the repairs being made for us. Pricing was very reasonable. This is our second great experience with Chavez and we will continue to use them for all of our plumbing needs. Recommend!

We have called Chavez Plumbing at least 5 or 6  times over the last few years and have always been very pleased.  They are prompt and professional and do great work.  The prices are moderate which we appreciate.  They have replaced faucets, both indoors and out, and fixed a leak on our water heater, just basic stuff, but stuff that needs to be done now and done right.  We recommend them often to our friends.

The gentlemen that came out were very professional and on time.  I needed a new spicket installed on the side of my house and we discussed the options.  Everything seemed good but the price.  $485 for one spicket.  The job required 8ft of copper pipe and the guys arrived at 915 and left at 1030.  $485!?!?  I called the office and asked what warranted this price for an hours worth of work and the lady on the phone just said the price is not by the hour but by the job.  I paid with a smile but won't use again unless they can justify their prices.
