HISTORY

Established in 1990.
Since 1990 Perry Jr., Pat and Jeff have succeeded in two family-run businesses: Beyer Mechanical and Beyer Plumbing. The emphasis of the company is relationships, to be treated like family and bending over backwards to offer excellent customer service. Those are the values the Beyers were raised with: trust, integrity and relationships. Perry, Pat and Jeff have had years of experience in the industry prior to founding Beyer Boys. Perry was in the plumbing business and Jeff was doing mechanical contracting, which includes installing and servicing air conditioning and heating systems. Pat had worked on both sides. To transition with the changing times, the brothers changed with the industry, staying on top of such issues were air quality and quicker response times. They keep up with the technology and their technicians are certified and highly trained in new innovations in the industry. They guarantee their work and always make sure the customer is satisfied.

It's refreshing and nice to see a company in which people have good, professional phone etiquette. Nobody was rushed and nobody rushed me off the phone, and they were kind and warm, too, which is rare in this city. (20 years ago most businesses had professional phone etiquette but not anymore.)

I used Beyer Boys for a full system replacement and new ducts. Of the 4 different quotes I got, Beyer was second lowest and I went with them based on their price, professionalism and thorough explanation.

From start to finish, they showed up on time, were courteous, did what they said they would and were accurate in time frames and price.

Almost a month with a the new system, using both heat and cool, and so far everything works great and quieter than my last unit.

The only reason it's not a 5 star review is that the clean-up outside wasn't that great.

Do not use this company for service or installation of your HVAC system.  In San Antonio, use ANY OTHER company, there are plenty of much better options out there.

Beyer Boys is a complete rip off!  Simple repairs = astronomical costs!, company and technicians only interested in raking in $, and promoting annual service plan.  Technician disingenuous.  Customer service very slow to respond in answering questions about billing.

This job was for a simple solenoid failure on the AC unit with a total cost of over $900!
The basic 50mf/ 440v solenoid replacement cost $318.   Also replaced were the hard start saver $317. and a 2 pole electric connector at $291.   Later after we finally got the itemized receipt (which required several calls to the company before any receipt was emailed), I looked up the cost of these parts. (to buy OEM parts for this unit, they would be less than $30, $135, and $15 respectively).

I don't think the technician took enough time to explain the issue with the HVAC unit that needed repair. I think that he replaced more components than were needed to solve the problem. I also felt he was more interested in trying to sell me an annual maintenance plan than addressing the service issue at hand.  He kept trying to sell me the annual maintenance plan.  After he was working on the unit I asked him if the solenoid replacement alone would have fixed the unit and he said yes, but then also encouraged me to have the maintenance plan.  He hinted again that we should have the annual maintenance plan,  in saying that the coolant level was low so the system might not cool as well as expected   That is actually not an issue at all with our HVAC.

After the bill of $916.80 was paid for this very basic problem, which took less than one hour for the technician to fix, we never received a bill in the email.  I had to call the company to request a bill.  They finally emailed the bill, but it was not itemized at all, it just listed the items repaired and the total charge.  I called again and requested that they please send me an itemized bill, including the parts cost and labor costs.  This time I received an email with the costs as I stated above, but again no separation of parts and labor costs.   I called again and asked to get the full b breakdown, but still have not heard back from them.

The technicians behavior, the exorbitant charge, the failure to promptly send a receipt, and then once a receipt was received, the additional phone calls to get an itemized receipt, and also to request a breakdown parts vs. labor all makes this feel like a RIP OFF SCAM.  If the exorbitantly high cost was the result of some sort of emergency labor fee or something like that I would understand that, BUT BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF TRANSPARANCY, I am left with the impression that this is a serious rip off, and deception in business practice.  The behavior of the technician also made the service call feel deceptive, because of the focus on promoting the annual service plan.

PICK ANOTHER HVAC SEFVICE COMPANY, there are plenty of options out there.

Absolutely no no no. They wanted to charge $2500 for some duct cleaning for  my mom. That's excessive. They literally rob their customers. I about fell out of my seat. You don't want to know the rest of the estimate. Little do they know that I can literally fly a few guys, and do for cheaper than that. Damn. If you don't know everyone, you can get a new unit for $400. Don't do it. They will rob you...shit. And this whole bullshit membership. Oh god. Come on...seriously ‍They sent pictures on an enclosed case. Like...you just can't see that. I'm in shock that they can rob these people but also laughing because it's so crazy. I don't know how they sleep at night.

Oh my Goodness, I wish I had great things to say here. I have an HVAC that they serviced. They made sure I paid $700 to service the AC unit, and did all kinds of preventive maintenance, from which I paid for - they recharged it and did all the little maintenance... THEN at the end, they informed me that the unit is no good. ($700 completely GONE) They then informed me that I would have to pay $13,000 for a little mini-split, that costs $2,300, without installation. So that leaves the installation fee around $10,000? What else would it be, I wonder? Wow, I only went back to Beyer Boys because my contractor used them. I was warned by so many not to use them. Sorry Beyer Boys, I am not falling for it.

I called this company out to fix a broken gas valve for our church heater. They quoted me a price which was high, but with the temps getting cold I did it. Since they were coming back, I asked them to change out the thermostat. They did which is not the issue. The issue is that they tired to Bill me for 3 hours of labor to change out a thermostat that is not even programmable. They claim the tech was there for that long when in fact, he installed the valve and thermostat in about 1 hour. They are ripping people off!

Look somewhere else because these guys try to charge you insane labor cost and won't even call you when you try and dispute a bill question. They have their secretaries call them.

This was 3 hours on top of the 3 hours they billed for the gas valve! Insane!

I was scheduled to tune up my AC unit but the
Technician name is Michael Huel did inspection like 10 minutes. I told him to make sure blow the drain line and clean pan outside unit. He told me that he came here just inspected. I told him to stop what he doing. I didn't order inspection and why I order for, my ac units still working, so he left and asked to pay bill. What the heck why I have to pay? You didn't do the work I ordered and now you asked me to pay $190 just for 10 minutes inspection. This company is all about money and spam people. I will report to BBB if this they don't solve this problem.

Here we go again.

They installed our air conditioner, ducts, and thermostat.

2 years later, thermostat broken.  They replaced it with one NOT AS GOOD AND CHARGED TWICE AS MUCH.

I am tired of the lack of service and lies from these people.

I have been using Beyer Boys for over 10 years. The techs are great. Friendly and knowledgeable,
But I believe the equipment they sell is substandard.
I have replaced my outside unit twice and the condenser three times. Each time they were just out of warranty. At $1200 each, that is quite a strain.
I will be moving soon and will not be using Beyer Boys anymore. I will not recommend them.

It's 19 degrees outside and only getting colder, currently 9:30 pm and just found out not to long ago that my furnace ignitor went out. I called and checked if they have the part and they do, but refuse to sell me the part. Are you kidding me, it's 2 screws. You expect me to pay y'all to come to my house and screw in 2 screws. Naw, my wife and myself will brave the dropping temperatures until Thursday when our ignitor comes in the mail.  Screw yall

If I could give you 0 stars I would.

My experience with this company has not been stellar. They are mostly about getting in and out, charging for every little thing and absolutely NOT about customer service. After seeing that I couldn't move some boxes, the serviceman just stood there and didn't offer to help me.
It is quite a shame to have used and trusted this company for all these years, and then have to look for referrals to switch companies.

Our dishwasher cratered and flooding kitchen , hardwood floors , so I called beyer Boys.  Please note we had been using them for over 20 years and were satisified.  The are not cheap though.  To make a long story short I needed emergency repair as big area was flooded and water was leaking under the hardwood floor.  Got water shutoff and called them.  So the response is we are short staffed and will be two days to get there.  This for a supposed 24 / 7 company as advertised.  But if i was to pay for a premium plan they could get to the house by 5pm.  I reminded the dispatcher we were long term clients over many years and she said this was the policy of the owners.  So I told her this was a scam and they were fired and had lost multi year client.  DO NOT under any circumstance use this disreputable company ever.

BB installed an $8,000 heat pump for us back in July 2018 and since then we've had have them come out three times - the last time just this week (3/25/20).  Each time they tell us the repair is not covered under warranty, unless, of course, we buy their service plan; so I presume the warranty is worthless unless we agree to be up-charged for their service plan!   These guys are bogus!

I had a 90 day  HVAC maintenance plan that cost me $400. Now according to Beyer's website, the stated benefits of this plan includes the following (Prevent repairs, Improve Performance, Higher Energy Efficiency, Maintain System Warranty and Better Indoor Air Quality) My HVAC system is only three years old. A Beyer technician came out every month and stated yes, everything looks good, no issues, everything is all good. Fast forward to 2 months after Beyer's last visit to my house, the AC stops working, I call Beyer, they send out a technician, I will say pretty fast though. The technician tells me, the Capacitor went out and then states, this is really unusual for a Capacitor to go out on a system that's only three years old. He installs the new Capacitor, waits around about 15 minutes, changed me $375 for parts, labor and service fee and takes off. About 15 minutes after the gentlemen leaves, the system shut down again. I call Beyer, tell them that my system went out again and their technician had just left 15 minutes earlier. So they send a second technician out, and I noticed that this is the same technician that had serviced my unit through the maintenance plan I had purchased from them earlier in the year. He comes out and conducts an assessment and he states that the fuse had tripped due to excessive overload from the AC which was caused by the AC coil being clogged with pet hair and from using a reusable filter. Now these are all things that should have been captured during the performance of the 3 month maintenance plan.  He then goes on to tell me that Beyer can clean the coil for $2,000. He didn't think that I remembered him from before and I asked why wasn't this issued communicated to me before as I had purchased an AC maintenance plan from them, CRICKETS nothing to say. He then wanted to charge me another Service Fee for coming out and I told him there is no way I would pay that because a previous technician had just left 15 minutes before he got there. The technician failed or blatantly withheld information from me that he was obligated to tell due to purchasing their maintenance plan. He knew that if the AC coil wasn't cleaned soon, that either I would need to replace the entire unit and pay for the $2,000 cleaning service. I did get the AC Coil cleaned for far much less than $2,000. I find the actions of Beyer Boys Technicians and the company values to be absolutely reprehensible and untruthful. I will never again use Beyer nor make referrals this them.

We have been using them do do preventive maintenance on our AC units at work and each time they come out the AC stops working the next day. I called at 0615 this morning after they worked on it yesterday for the PM and was told it would be after 2pm before they could get someone out and stated the technician put in his notes that the outside unit needed a new contactor. He never said anything to anyone here about that and I am the one who signed his laptop. Now they say they need to call back with a quote to fix it. This happens every single time they touch our units and I will make sure we find someone else in the future for our needs. Their customer service are no help. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I was forced to give them a 1 star rating because it would not let me send the review with no stars or negative stars.

I had the Beyer Boys out to take a look at an air conditioner that has some issues, and they were quite proficient at getting everything taken care of.
The serviceman was punctual, and did a quite thorough job of checking out the a/c systems, making appropriate recommendations for future reference and maintenance. I was impressed at how much our serviceman knew about a/c systems.
Their communication skills need some help- it was confusing getting hold of the right person on the phone, and abrupt transfers on the phone made it difficult to keep track of whom I was speaking with or why.
I wish that they could have done a bit better job of documenting their work. I got walked through what they did, but have yet to get any documentation about it.

After a diagnostic fee of $89.00 (normal) the Beyer Boys provided an Estimate for repairs with a 1 line work cost (parts labor) of over $1200.  Minus expected labor, It turns out they were attempting to pass a cost of aprox. $900 for a $350 (retail) oem blower motor.  Do not trust their estimates particularly if they are not itemized with real part numbers.  I would normally expect some degree of markup but this is gross overcharging.  I knew better because I had already called around for parts estimates and asked what the labor alone charge would be.

Make you own conclusions as to their credibility; At the very least whomever is doing their estimates is including gross overages in parts costs.

As a result decided to sourced the part myself and hired someone else to complete the (simple) repair which was completed in under an hour.  My total costs at well below half of their estimate.  Cool air today without being taken advantage of... Priceless.

I would not call Beyer Boys again. Before writing this review I offered them the chance to explain their estimate ?mistake?; no reply was given.  I requested a refund of the 89.00 diag fee to compensate for their poor estimate and they refused.

2 stars because at least the diagnosis was correct but note, I already knew what was wrong with the system (blower motor broken)

It's taken me a while to get this review done, but I would definitely recommend Beyer Boys for AC needs.  My system has stopped cooling and I definitely needed to get it going again.  I had a different company come out first and they wanted to basically replace my system.  Didn't like the way that sounded, so I called Beyer boys.  Am I glad I did!  They responded to my request immediately and the technician (Jeffrey) diagnosed the problem as being a board in the outside unit.  This saved me a huge amount of money and earned my respect for the company.  Jeffrey also imparted information on how the system works and things to watch out for in maintaining the system.  A big thanks to them for being honest and thorough.  They will get my business from here on.  It's nice to see a credible company one can count on.

We purchased a new system from them and have had so many recurring problems since the purchase. They sold us a 4 ton unit for 13k+.  The house always cooled before the old unit went out. Then, the new unit wouldn't support an almost 2,500 Sq Ft. house. It has been so bad for the past 5 years. We can't cool the house for just about half the year. Fed up with things, we had a meeting at their corporate office.  Then, management came to our house. We were told things like our house needed better energy efficiency. So, we purchased approx 50k of new windows and doors. We went way above any beyond the typical energy efficiency windows and doors. We took it to the commercial level. After pouring money into that, the HVAC still couldn't cool the house. Then, we put in a  radiant barrier system in the attic to deflect heat. Not a cheap expense. Then, the system still couldn't cool the house. Then, we put in a commercial attic fan to exude the humidity out of the attic where the system resides. Then, that didn't help, so  we put in a commercial fan in the garage and added venting on the side of the garage for optimal air flow. That didn't work.  Then, we replaced 100 percent of the attic insulation with the highest grade insulation. Then, out of even more desperation for relief we replaced all of the lighting in our house with LED lights. The house kept getting hot. We can't cook for half of the year with the 13k system, after all of the other energy efficiency projects we implemented to help cool the house. We told them numerous times that we can't use our kitchen and that we bring in fans while we cook to try and keep sweat off of us. So many times we told them that money was no object, we just needed relief. So many service calls. Sometimes 3 service calls In 2 days. Our exterior house is encased in vegetation. We have a high quality newer roof. We did an energy audit. Yesterday we had the summer check up. We had flying colors, according to the Beyer Boys. One hour later, the system ceased to function correctly. We were sweating to the oldies. Then, they came out and said they had to reset the temperature control. Today, less than 24 hours later after our flying colors from them, the system failed for a third time. Not only is it effing inconvenient, but after yesterday's flying colors report, we invited a friend, who is medically compromised. And one hour after her arrival, the system, once again doesn't work. We hired a 3rd party auditor.  The Beyer Boys, we were told, sized the wrong tonnage.  We were sold a 4 ton unit for a house that is from the 1960's and is closer to 2,500 square feet. It should be 1 ton for every 500 sq ft. Never mind that we spent endless amounts of money to make the house the best energy efficient house.  The Beyer Boys don't  show ownership or leadership. They actually sold us a service plan and in the middle of it, created more tiers to charge customers more.  For under $500 they can come to your house 2x a year for service and give u discount on labor. They know all too much about labor charges. They have created a system, where they sell systems, size incorrectly, and offer expensive plans to make u feel good about what they are going to charge you so you can feel cool. They create money, not from true service, but from putting you in a situation where they have you by the balls, where they then create expensive out of market plans to help you, help them screw you. Enough is enough. Our attorneys will be filing the appropriate paperwork.

I had seven different HVAC companies come to give me estimates for replacing two HVAC systems in my home and Beyer Boys were the most professional, informational, thorough, and competitively priced. If you want to save time in doing research for a good HVAC company then look no further. Jesse came to assess my old system and was very professional and the most knowledgeable of all the other sales representatives that came over. I got a sense from all the other guys that they didn't know what they were talking about or were trying to get more money out of me. Jesse made me feel that going with Beyer Boys would be a wise decision. When it came time to install my system, Eric and his team of techs got both systems installed in two days. They made sure to cover the floors and carpet to protect it and were very professional as well. I am very detail oriented and mechanically inclined and looking over the work of both HVACS that was done I am very impressed with the level of detail that was taken in getting the systems installed, no sloppy work at all. I am a very happy customer and highly recommend Beyer Boys!

For a number of years, I have employed the Beyer Boys to perform semiannual preventive maintenance inspections of heating and air conditioning units.  Additionally, in January 2016 I purchased and had them install a 5-ton furnace.  In May 2017, I hired their plumbing division to install a toilet.  For the most part services were satisfactorily rendered.  I had one instance where shortly after their preventive maintenance my heating system stopped working.  They responded quickly and determined that their serviceman who had performed the preventive maintenance had not put parts back together correctly.  Since they were the ones who had caused the problem, there was no charge.  I was pleased that they took responsibility for the problem since I would have been none the wiser had they not done so.
Unfortunately, on Friday, December 15, 2017,    I had a totally unacceptable experience during the semiannual preventive maintenance inspection.  The serviceman approached my wife, who had had no dealings with him, and asked her to sign off that she had been informed that he was shutting off the gas.  My wife declined to sign without first telling me about this request.  Upon inquiry, the serviceman explained to me that new regulations prompted by some fires prohibit boxes from being stacked near furnaces; we had boxes stacked between the two furnaces.  The  serviceman did NOT give us option to move the boxes!  His first instinct for customer service for preventive maintenance was to shut off the gas.  We had to ask permission to move the boxes to avoid shutdown of gas.  As we took less than a minute to move several boxes, the serviceman stood by and watched us.
At 10 a.m., upon the serviceman's departure, I called the Beyer Boys to speak to the service manager.  The service manager not in, so reception promised to email him to contact me re service complaint.  Not hearing back from the service manager, I called again 5 hours later at 3 p.m.  I was told he was gone for the day.  When I said I need to terminate the service contract, reception offered to contact him and have him call me back.
The service manager thereupon called me back right away.  He was defensive and kept insisting that serviceman is required to shut off gas for safety.  I explained that I agreed with the safety measure, but I should have FIRST be given option to move boxes.  The service manager kept questioning my commitment to safety.  He said he'd talk to the serviceman and instruct him IF what I said had happened.  When I said I would terminate service contract, he told me to go ahead and do so.  I then called reception again to terminate service contract.
After explaining to reception what had happened, reception said she'd have a senior person call me on Monday, December 18th.  As of 4 p.m. that Monday, the senior person still had not called me, so I called once again to terminate the service contract.  Reception said he was not in, but she'd contact him to call me.  He thereupon called right away and was very receptive to my concerns in all respects.  He also said that he would bring all this to the attention of PAT BEYER who is in charge of this division.  I said that unless I was credited for the service call, I would terminate and engage instead a different company that had been recommended to me.  He agreed and reception called me right back to confirm.
This should have been a satisfactory conclusion.  Unfortunately, when it was time for the next preventive maintenance inspection on May 1, 2018, the very SAME serviceman came to my house.  He acted as though he had never been there before, as though nothing had happened before.  I believe it was poor judgment to send the SAME serviceman, especially in the absence of any apology from him.  And so, in November 2018, I did indeed terminate the services of Beyer Boys and hired a different company, at lesser cost, at that.

Timely, professional service. They came, fixed a leaky pipe above my water heater, And did a good job. Problem?  it took them about 45 minutes at best. The charge was $350!  no parts, just labor for  leaky connection. that's $350+/hour. Who makes that much money (even with company overhead)!  you know they know they are getting over because the invoice doesn't break out labor or parts, its just one fee for job.

i could have probably. Fixed myself but gas/electricity make me nervous. Thats how easy the job was.

Sadly, it would have been just as bad most any company u call. They force a buy-in with trip/service fee of $50+ and at that point you either agree to estimate or lose your $50 and pay another $50 for the next guy.

Guess ill get a home warranty, the companies are less responsive but i know what it'll cost.

So, armed with evidence that something was wrong with the work they had done, I began an extended email conversation with Beyer Plumbing. The result of all the back and forth is that yet another static test was done on the sewer system with both plumbing companies supervising the test results. The results and documentation from the repairs proved that Beyer had somehow been in error. The extra tunnel that was dug because they said I had a leak in a washing machine line cost $2,500. Currently they are offering to refund the price of the work they performed but not the cost of the tunnel.

I'm so glad that we did not have them do the repair and tunneling work. They wanted more than twice what we paid and, maybe I'm cynical, but I'm pretty sure that they would not have said boo about not finding the other two leaks or that the tunnel was not needed. You can be pretty sure they would have taken my money and kept their mouth shut about the error the pinpoint team made. I never would have had any clue except for the fact that I got another estimate on the job and went the less expensive route.

I feel confident in saying that Beyer Plumbing owes me not only the money spent on the pinpoint but also the money spent on an extraneous tunnel. If they want to live up to their mission statement, they need to make this right.

This company does not repair, they replace.  My heating elements burned out in my central a/c unit.   New elements are not very expensive.    They quoted me $1,780. to replace the heater or $5,300. to replace the heater and outside a/c unit which runs great.   Those were my options.  I asked the repairman about replacing or restringing the elements.  He replied, That's not the way we roll.  So if you just want to buy a new unit rather than fix what you got, call Beyer Boys.

Absolute garbage, paid over $7,000.00 for a small 2 1/2 Lenox system. They not only threw away a brand new Honeywell smart Alexa thermostat $140 out the door thanks for that but the system they replaced had a 4 inch thick hepa filter with a garbage 1 in filter that is so small even home depot doesn't sell that oddball size. They took clear advantage of an 84 year old woman.

I do not recommend Beyer Boys for repair services. We had a problem with our water heater. The technician Jerry said we needed a new part and he would return between 9am-10am the next morning. He called at noon the next day and said he's running late. The next call was 5:30 pm and he stated he couldn't get the part because the store is closed. He took the part so we couldn't get someone else to repair. They tried to push the repair till Monday. We refused and demanded it to be done Saturday. Horrible communication and customer service!!! Clearly do not care about the customer.

Received very unprofessional service today.  AC tech came out, asked me what I thought the issue was, blew some pressure in my exterior AC drain and said nope, it's a plumbing issue.  I even explained on the phone what my problem was before they came out.  Total bill for maybe 10 minutes on my premises was $180.  Said it was a flat rate charge even if they couldn't fix it.  At least Beyer could have credited some of that $$ towards one of their plumbers.  I will never use them again.  Exorbitant price for absolutely nothing.

My 86 year old mother in San Antonio called the Beyer Boys to come out and fix a toilet. They came out and fixed it--they called it a rebuild of generic toilet which basically was new flapper, new supply line and the tank guts. $286 for a 15 minute job plus the $25 trip fee. I asked her to never call them again for any work. Talk about gouging customers!!

Strait con artist....they serviced my system in the past I even bought a new Furnace from them 2 yrs ago. My central air went out..was not cooling..well I called the beyer boys and expected to pay something I dont expect anything for free...but I did expect them to treat me like a returning customer. The tech hooked up the gauges and looks at me and says well the whole system is shot..your compressor, you condenser and coils are all shot...I told him I didn't Understand the unit is not that old and I just bought a furnace from them the previous year, so he tells me I have a unit with R22 the most expensive freon out there cost $100 per pound and my unit carries at least 10lbs...
So I paid their $65 fee to look at the unit you know the service call if you dont hire them...
Funny part is I called them on a Friday so he was real quick to tell me they couldn't fix it till Monday if I wanted to order the unit...well after 2 different companies looking at it they both asked if I bought a furnace from them why didn't the convert the freon...well I had to save up my pennies and 4 months later I call to get my ac fixed but I called a different company..and wouldn't you know I only paid $2000
To replace a coil...the fan motor and the compressor were both fine and did not need a whole new unit...I spent all of The months of May, June and most July with no A/c now I have a cool house no thanks to the beyer boys..I have an Idea why dont yall be Men and treat customers with respect and tell them the truth instead of just saying the system is just shot you need a new one..LAME

I called Beyer boys at 10am for a water heater issue. Went through a checklist of my issues and model. They said they would arrive between 2-6. The repair guy calls at 5:15 to say he's on his way, and asked what model I have. I told them a whirlpool. He said this company doesn't have parts for them. He said he could come out anyway and charge me 197.00 if I like. Thanks Beyer boys. Now I have to call another company and pay after hours pricing to fix this. This could have been told to us much earlier in the day, without dealing with a condescending repair man who didn't want to drive 45 minutes to my house.

I purchased the Silver Plan and was told would not be charged a service call fee for any issue.  I called them and was told again no fee would be charged.  Unfortunately, i was charged $146 and change for diagnostic.  When i spoke to the service manager, I was told I was not charged the $89 service fee but would have to pay the $146 diagnostic.  Sorry but this does not make any sense.  So i guess the $89 is for driving up to my home and $146 to figure out whats wrong.  Does this make any sense?  In addition, the estimate to replace my HVAC motor was $1400 and they refused to tell me how much was parts and what was labor.  I refused service.  I contacted another company who is licensed and bonded and was charged a total of $850 for the exact same service.

What an amazing experience!! Our air conditioning unit broke the Sunday of Labor Day weekend and not only were we able to get a REAL person on the phone when we called the emergency line- we actually had someone come out to our house THAT AFTERNOON!! And, even though we surely ruined his holiday weekend by having him schlep out to our hot house instead of spending time by his pool, he did so with a smile! It was the friendliest service we've ever experienced. And, to top it all off, he FIXED our air conditioner, didn't up-charge us, and the unit is still working like gold 1 1/2 months later.
Absolutely would call them again if we ever need work on our air! Highly recommend.

What an amazing company!  Over the memorial day weekend our AC unit died a sad sad death.  We called Beyer and they had a tech out to our home on a holiday within an hour and a half of our call.  And...he arrived with a smile on his face.  I am sure most would have been upset their day was ruined with a service call.

Their tech was very knowledgeable, friendly and extremely professional. In the end we ended up replacing the entire unit. They had to make 2 additional service calls (for adjustments to our ducts and the unit) totaling over 6 hours and no charge for those calls.  Our house is now the perfect temp all the time, each room holds at a consistent temp and our electric bill went from over $300 per month to last months all time low of $81 with a daytime temp setting of 75 and nights at 71.

Their accounts office handled all of the rebate paperwork for us and they too were extremely professional.  I felt the entire staff went above and beyond each and every time we needed them for service or a simple question....how refreshing!

Beyer Boys have served our homes for many years, unclogging drains,  installing water heaters ( conventional and tankless) repairing and replacing A/C - heating units.
They are prompt, polite, well informed, capable, and conscientiously committed to their service mission. Well worth the cost. We also have a maintenance service with them for twice-a-year inspection of plumbing and a/c-heating units.  Very pleased with their work.  Thanks.

They were awesome!! They came the same day I called and fixed one of our units within an hour - it was Saturday!  They had a team out first thing Monday to repair the second unit. All of this after the first company I called said we needed an entire new unit for $8500 which would have only fixed half our problem. Thank you for being honest and ethical!  I will never call anyone else!!

Decided last week to replace our AC/heat unit.  I took off last week to get several quotes.  Breyer Boys was the only quote with all the info I wanted.  Tim called before arriving and was on time.  Asked me a few questions and inspected my current equipment, and gave me a quote with six options with model numbers etc so I could do some online research (I'm that kind of data maniac).  I called him back a couple days later with a couple questions that Tim answered well.  We made a slight modification to one of the options and made arrangements to have installed on the next Monday.
The installers called right after 8AM (was given window of 8-9:30) and they arrived at 8:20.  There was some noise in the attic (where the unit resides) and they came in once to change the thermostat.  Everything works great and they were gone we'll before 3PM.  I am very satisfied with my purchase, the install and the result (cool air on a 100 degree day).

While they were able to send someone out the same day, the technician was not sure what the problem was and was going to leave until we started asking more questions, which prompted him to check the motor and discover it wasn't working.  He said they would order the part and come the next day (Thursday)... by Friday afternoon, I hadn't heard anything so I called back and was told that the part had to be ordered outside of San Antonio and would not be in until at least Tuesday.  I understand this; however, I believe I should have been called with an update and that it shouldn't have fallen on me to call back... very poor service, especially when someone's air conditioner is not working.

A couple of years ago, my wife and I purchased a new a/c system from Beyer.  The Beyer techs took about seven hours to complete the installation leaving our house near midnight. My wife, kids and I had to work and go to school the next day. We called Beyer to come back out to check our new a/c since it didn't seem to be cooling very well.  A Beyer tech checked it and said everything was fine.  There was no charge for his assessment.  We called Beyer out a second time.  Beyer still couldn't find anything wrong and they charged us eighty-something dollars for nothing. We called a different company to our house and they found the problem.  Beyer had overlooked the factory settings when they took our a/c out of the box.  I paid another service charge to this other company, but they remedied our problem.  Beyer's service manager never returned my telephone call when I attempted to let Beyer know what had happened.
