On Friday night it appeared I had a pipe break. I called Pierre' at A & T Plumbing, and he was taking calls after hours.
He came out Saturday morning with his tech and discovered that my pipe hadn't broken. What a relief!!!
His tech drove all the way over here on a Saturday morning and he was extremely friendly, willing to get to work. When it was determined that there wasn't any work to be done, Pierre' sent him on his way. In addition, which is extremely rare, I was not charged anything.
A & T Plumbing has been my plumber for years and has completed major jobs, i.e., the replacement of my complete sewer system under the foundation of my home to the street. I have neighbors that have used them as well! Thank you to Pierre' and his crew for your personal professionalism and great attitude while doing outstanding work in residential as well as commercial jobs!

Water, water everywhere!!! Where is it coming from?? My neighbor in the next door duplex said it was me. I said it was the A/C.

My landlord told me to call A&T Service Plumbing to figure it out.

Two gentlemen showed up, moved my washing machine, poked around, and asked me to do a rinse/spin cycle.

Well looky there, a puddle of water under my washing machine! Yowza.

They were were friendly, empathetic and moved the washing machine back to its spot.

Time to shop for a new washing machine.

These guys are trustworthy, responsive and really charming. Thank you.

What a stand-up business. We don't normally use A&T, but our regular plumbers were booked through the week and they recommended we give them a call to help with our water heater's pilot light. The owner was super responsive, and we had an appointment for the following afternoon within the hour.

Then came the actual appointment. Both my wife and I had attempted to relight our the pilot light in our water heater a few days earlier, and it just wasn't happening. But within 5 minutes of working on it Noel and Chow (I didn't get the spelling, sorry guys!) had it going again. Now, we are not the most handy people, but my wife and I have both relit our pilot light before, so this was definitely one of those are you serious? moments.

Noel explained that sometimes that kind of thing happened. A pilot light might not want to light at first, but if you try a few hours later - or the next day - it might. Lesson learned: make several spread out attempts before calling in the pros.

Then, without me even asking, Noel offered to call the owner and explain the situation. We weren't expecting much - after all, we'd had them come out and someone had to pay for their time - but
less than 5 minutes later - no charge!

As small business owners ourselves, we understand what a big deal this is. Thanks, A&T! You've definitely won us over, and will be one of the first places we call with any future plumbing issues.

I have used A&T on several occasions and they have always been very prompt and pricing has been reasonable and estimates given up front. On the latest call, the team came out for what I thought was a clogged bathroom sink but they soon found out it was most likely an HVAC issue and pointed me in the right direction without overcharging me for something that didn't turn out to be a plumbing issue.

These guys are amazing! I called in the morning with propane leak, they arrived, on time that afternoon. The technician was professional, polite and very knowledgeable. The leak was found, my propane was turned back on to my house. Highly recommend A & T Plumbing! The snowpocalypse damaged two faucets. We waited patiently (after all, faulty faucets are mild stuff compared to our poor neighbors' burst pipes!) for months for Pierre to send someone out.

We were charged $225 for ten minutes of work. I find this very expensive.

Showed up when they were supposed to, they were polite, clean, and professional.

I spent the bulk of a Sunday afternoon replacing everything I could reach under the sink, to no avail. After more than a decade in the same house, the clog was just too far into the wall for me to reach. I admitted defeat and called in a professional.

Not the cheapest in town, but they had immediate availability. When the kitchen sink is clogged, the wife isn't happy. And when the wife isn't happy, immediate availability matters!

At work and neighbor calls to let me know I have water coming up from my front yard and it's running into the street. Neighbor turns off main for me and I start calling plumbers while at work. I call 2 places and they're booked for weeks. I call A&T, but I get a answering service. I then call their emergency number provided. Gentleman that answers is able to get a tech over as soon as he's done with his current job.

Couple hours later I get a call from the tech. He's at my house and we discuss the fees and I give him the go-ahead. After a few minutes he's located the leak...cracked main pipe that my oak tree's roots have snapped. I get a pic texted to me of the damage and an estimate of time. Tech gets to work and shortly there after I get another text of a fixed pipe. He then fills the hole and cleans up as best as possible. I get a call with the total and I pay over the phone with my credit card.

I couldn't have asked for a better process while being stuck at work. Rate seems fair, tech was very clear and thorough about everything he did. I know who I'm calling for any future plumbing needs.

This company was really easy to work with. We had some issues with our water pressure and I contacted the company over Yelp to get a quote. They determined what the issue was and gave me a rough estimate. They were here the next day and were able to fix the problem pretty quickly. While the price was quite a bit more than I was expecting, the fact I have Kitec pipping wasn't their fault. They had to procure some not so easy to find parts that ended up costing a lot of money. Overall, I'm happy with the work they did and their responsiveness.

Very impressed with the service from A&T plumbing. I contacted A&T via Yelp Messaging when I had trouble with a broken toilet seat and a pair of leaky toilet tank flappers and Pierre D. responded right away.

Scheduled the repair a few days later and it was done promptly and courteously. I'd use A&T again in a heartbeat and recommend them.

Pro Tip: You might need to leave a wide window in your schedule, as they came and fixed the problem quickly but they were delayed 4(!) hours before arriving.

I've used A&T Plumbing three times in 4 years and have always had an exceptional experience. Last night, the sink drain flooded my kitchen. I called A&T and spoke to a friendly gentleman who fit me in to their schedule the next day. Chris, the plumber, was polite, efficient, and provided excellent customer service. Declined to honor their original estimate and then never got around to providing an updated estimate as promised. Save your time and look elsewhere.

A&T provided a ~$4K estimate to repair a drain line in late Dec. 2020. Told them I was not ready to do the project yet, and was told just let them know when I was. Estimate explicitly states Expires Never.

When I was ready to do the project early Jan. 2022, I clicked the Approve Estimate link in their original email. Later that day I received an email stating I approved a bid that is no longer valid due to material price increases from the storm and economy. Pointed out the estimate Never expires but that didn't mean anything to them. Blaming material increases for a drain line replacement is lame as the project entails only a few sticks of PVC.

Wasn't ready to give up on A&T yet. They said they'd send someone back out the next day to look at the project and provide a new estimate. Never received a new estimate. We had ~20 emails back and forth in which I asked for for updates on the new estimate. No avail.

I contacted A&T for my project because of the stellar reviews. My experience was anything but stellar.

It's a typical story, where you have something unexpected, decide to break. As usual, at the more inopportune time. A leaking water heater isn't something you want to put off fixing for long. So I called around and sent out the usual Yelp quote requests. A&T plumbing was not only the first to respond early in the morning but had the best response.

Their prices weren't the cheapest or the most expensive, but right there in the middle. But I liked the transparent pricing, availability, and good product (it had good reviews). Others were way overpriced or had no problem recommending another unreliable product.

They came by as scheduled, replaced the water heater quickly and professionally. No more leaks and the water is hot. I recommend these folks as well as a water sensor! As that saved me from potentially expensive repairs due to it being located on the 2nd floor.

Smelled a gas leak under the stove this morning. Texas Gas came out, told us it was a small problem and red tagged it. I called around, no one I usually use was available or particularly helpful, though one did give me A&T's #. They were responsive, came quickly (in a couple of hours), fixed the small leak, and didn't gauge me on price like everybody else does. My husband who was there during the service said Chris was very courteous. Recommend.

I called A&T to re-set a toilet that was leaking around the wax ring and staining the ceiling in the garage below.

Freddy and his assistant Noel showed up within the time window, and texted before they arrived. They both wore masks into the house, and were professional throughout. Their work procedures kept things neat: they used a roll of disposable shop towel to place the removed toilet on, and put all their waste in a disposable bag to take out with them. They also used a small wet vac to suck the water out of the toilet tank and bowl, instead of sponging it out, so they didn't spill a drop of water.

All in all, I'm very satisfied, would hire again.

Y'all A&T is a life saver! We had a hard nasty job that needed to be done and i struggled to find anyone to even come out and give me quote for it. One company came out and the price they quoted me was completely insane. I called Pierre and he sent someone out the next day and gave me a fair quote that we could afford, and once we approved the estimate they got right to work. This was a tough job that required tunneling under our house, chipping concrete, and busting out nasty old cast iron sewer pipes that were no longer draining. The job took awhile but that's completely understandable,it was tough work and we aren't exactly located close to his office. Kevin and his crew were professional and hardworking. They did everything they could to make sure that we understood the process and that everything was being handled. Now our toilets flush and showers drain! I cannot recommend these guys enough.

This Wednesday evening, my bathtub was draining super slowly, and when I tried to plunge it, I discovered that both of my toilets were backing up as well. First thing Thursday morning, I called A&T, and they were able to fit me in on the schedule for the same day. Dalton and helper arrived with their drain cleaning machine and camera, opened the cleanout near the street, and got right to work. After working persistently, they were able to get the clog in the main line removed, and then they ran the camera down the main line and showed me the state of things -- thankfully, although there were a couple of bellies, there were no breaks, cracks, or roots. While they didn't have the right tools on the truck to clean out the clog in the bathtub trap, I was able to get that fixed separately.

Recommended -- quick service, super nice guys, and great prices!

I've worked with a couple of plumbing companies with very high Yelp ratings in 2020. Guess which one I will call next time I need plumbing service. Yep, it will be A&T, for sure.

The tech from the other five-star plumbing company (that shall go nameless here) quickly told me he'd have the job done in less than ten minutes. He did, indeed, but when I looked over the invoice later, I noticed that he marked down 1.5 hours for labor. Anyway, the next time around I decided to try a different plumber with excellent Yelp reviews. Enter A&T.

Like the previous plumber, A&T was able to solve the issue in under ten minutes. But rather than inflating the labor charge, they charged me *LESS* than their standard base rate for a call!

Now that's the kind of above-and-beyond goodwill and professionalism that is truly worthy of a five-star rating. Kudos to you, A&T!

Geronimo was great! We wanted our tankless water heaters flushed and he told us how much time it would take. He got the job done efficiently and installed a garbage disposal in our kitchen while flushing the water heaters. He also found a leak in a recycle tank and is sending a quote on that work.

We had a rusted expansion tank with our water heater. While not an emergency, A&T Service Plumbing was able to come out within hours on the same day. Prompt, friendly, reasonable and efficient service. If there was one recommendation I could make, it would be that I wish they would have removed the water that was in the drip pan before they left. Not a hard task for me, but I would have preferred to not have to do it myself.

I've used them several times for different projects and they are fantastic!! Incredibly trustworthy and thorough. They really take the time to explain what's going on and all possible options. Justin came out and ran a camera through our lines and made sure we understood the we problem and possible solutions.

Their pricing is extremely fair and they only charge for what they do. They don't try and up-sell things or charge for small simple parts. They even cleaned up after they were done.

I used a&t for my remodeling at early 2019, including add gas pipe to stove and install new shower pan, and kitchen plumbing etc. It's never easy, we trouble shoot the possible gas leak for a month, tears ! The reason I still want to give this business a 5 stars is it's owner Perrier, who really took care of his customer, even some of his employees are hard to work with. Overall I have confidence with this company and will hire again.

I have used them over the years for various plumbing issues like a bathroom remodel, a leak that flooded the yard and, more recently, a shower with no to low water flow. The two guys arrived on time and were done with both toilets in less than two hours. Pierre and his team were great to work with. We had a super tight timeline to have 75' tunnel dug under the house to replace all the cast iron. This was not a small job by any means. However, I was given the estimate and then changed $75 more without any discussion or explanation. I reached out to the company to explain but they did not get back to me at all. They also changed my facets with a different type of facet without my approval or knowledge until the work was completed.

Be aware of the work and the costs while the project is being completed so this does not happen to you.

Our family has a warranty with A&T plumbing, as they installed our septic system. Company has continually delayed service dates (6 times), leaving us stuck with overflowing toilets and an apparent leak in the plumbing that runs underground. A&T came out today, and although most of the team was polite and tried to answer my questions, the lead plumber, Roberto, refused to speak to me, before saying I'm not dealing with her, closing the van's door and driving off while I stood there. I have never experienced this level of poor service with any company.

These guys are great. I've only just started using them (PRV replacement a few months ago and pipe check-up following the winter storm), but I've had a great experience so far. They're super responsive, and each time I felt that they were a) extremely knowledgeable and communicated their work to me very well, and b) didn't try to upsell me or make me feel pressured to spend more on stuff than I needed, which is different from some of the other guys I've had out in the past. This is a late review but I just wanted to reiterate what everyone here is saying. Pierre and his guys really are the most conscientious and dedicated plumbers, there's just no reason to use anyone else. If they cannot get to you as fast as you need them (what happened when we had an emergency at our place on a weekend once), they will give you the number of people they trust who can. They have fixed a few issues at our Austin homes and have always been prompt and expert. Pierre was also able to help answer some questions I had about an issue I was having with a plumber in Houston! He is generous, and truly dedicated to being the best plumber out there. Great work from these guys! I had several quotes on the PRVs for my water line (too high pressure resulting in knocking at the water valves to my washing machine), A&T is half what the other guys quoted. They can give me a quote over the phone and doesn't do the we need to come out with a sale guy.

They come out literally two days later, with two guys working on the valve. They didn't mind that I stood there and asked questions. As they almost finished, they did end up encountered some new issues along the way (with roots and fittings) resulting in some leaking. So they just spent more time, undo everything, cut the roots, fix the fitting and working on it until it's done right. With all the unexpected issues like the root and redo needed, they gave me zero fuss.

Water pressure is good now, and no more knocking. I'm impressed.

Absolutely incredible!

Rick and his team were, responsive, reliable, personable, professional, and HONEST!!!

We received quotes and a description of the scope of work from OTHER plumbers and it seemed like they weren't being honest. We needed a gas line moved under a cooktop to allow for a telescopic downdraft to be installed.

Rick came over and spoke to us about the work, explaining it clearly and describing what needed to be done and why. He was communicative and offered a reasonable solution for what we needed resolved.

His team showed up on time, completed the work, and did an absolutely amazing job. They were polite AND cleaned up after themselves!!! No plumber mess left behind.

They walked us through the repairs and answered any questions we had.

While it would be ideal to never ever need a plumber again, we understand how unlikely that is in a home. We are thankful to have the team at A & T Service Plumbing available should we need them again.

Huge props to Gerry and Daniel! I am a woefully lacking homeowner and had no idea how to even explain my issue other than the sprinkler system wasn't working. This is really a four and a half star review. We have used A & T plumbing about 3 years ago to fix a water pipe leak UNDER ourdriveway and they did a great job (5 stars).

We had another water leak (in a different part of the driveway and not related to the repair 3 yrs ago). We called them out and I had to deduct something because the first plumber they sent was really bad and in WAY over his head. He actually made things worse. It turns out he had recently started with the company and had moved to Texas and over sold his credentials to the company. It happens, I get it. Sometimes, people aren't what they say they are.

Bad stuff happens all the time, but it's how you address the problems and fix it that is more important.

Don, the supervisor, took over and got it fixed. Despite the rest of the plumbers on jobs and booked out over 1 week, he was able to get a team of people to come over and ultimately fix the issue. Don himself was out here late on a weekend evening when an emergency issue happened (from the first guy) and he took care of it. So, the way Don and A&T plumbing took ownership of the initial mistake and fixed the issue was really commendable.

Hopefully, we will not need them in the future, but if we do, we will be using A&T for our plumbing needs.

Update 3: They reached out to explain it was an invoicing issue and refunded the difference. Thank you.

Update 2: @Pierre: we were told that is your standard flat rate for the job. Nothing out of the ordinary for the job that was done.

Update 1: Had them over twice. They do a good job. However, felt that this time around they were a bit pricey - charged 240$ for a one hour faucet replacement job (I was expecting around 165$).

Also I feel we did not do a good job with our quote request - learning for me for next time. Partly because we had a good experience with pricing the first time we thought it will be fair this time around too.

While I will keep them in mind for future jobs I will also make sure to shop around for other options.

I wish I could speak to the quality of work that A&T Service Plumbing provides, but they are 0 for 2 on showing up with the right equipment - or even showing up.

I called specifically to schedule someone to run a camera down our sewer line for inspection after a few issues with the line. The first time, the technician arrived 90 minutes late (without advanced warning) and did not event have camera equipment. After he rattled off about how they only have one camera, I rattled off about how I specifically requested that someone come out with one. He said we would have to reschedule. For an appointment specifically scheduled to run a camera down the sewer line they sent out a guy without a camera!

When I called to express my frustration, the appointment was rescheduled and I was promised that someone would come with a camera. Well, I will never know if the second serviceman had a camera or not, because s/he never showed up and never called advising about running late. They called to explain there was a scheduling mistake and offered to come out as soon as possible, and I appreciated them owning up to the mistakes made, however, I had to share that with the mistakes thus far I was no longer confident in having them potentially do work. I wasted 2.5 hours on A&T Service Plumbing and have nothing to show for it: no estimate, no proposal, nothing. I hardly doubt they would comp me 2.5 hours of their time having wasted 2.5 hours of my time.

My husband and I made the decision to finally renovate our kitchen because it's outdated and our friends would make comments.

We did our research on so many companies, got quotes, and spoke to them on the phone. None of the companies caught our attention and gave us that warm Customer Service feeling until we came across A&T Service Plumbing. I own several rental properties and have always found the totally professional and responsive to everything needed. Even when a tankless froze and burst during the big storm they did everything they could to get me a new unit and installed to my tenant could shower and resume some semblance of a normal life with hot water. I have also used them for new construction and they did quite well also.

Excellent service all around. Our kitchen faucet was leaking for quite some time. We had a few new cartridges sent by the manufacturer but nothing remedied the issue. The A&T team confirmed the base leak meant the faucet needed to be replaced.

Once we received our new faucet we were scheduled quickly. Our plumber Luke was wonderful. Timely, professional and efficient in getting us back up and running. And fair in price.
All in all we couldn't be more pleased.

Called this morning about a busy pipe due to the winter storm. The owner answered right away and got on a video call to show me how to shut off the water to my house. He stated that he was not having his employees out on the roads currently because they do not have four wheel drive, but that his personal vehicle does and he would be going around the area helping people cut off the water to their houses. Amazing person, would highly recommend this company!

Our water heater had a blowout on a cold Saturday morning. After wasting the whole day playing games with another plumbing company, they left at 8pm with a promise to email us an estimate and return on Sunday to replace the unit. Instead of an estimate they emailed an invoice for $2800. Nope!

Being new in town, we weren't sure where to turn, so we posted a request on Yelp early Sunday morning. Within minutes Pierre responded, saying that his standard price was significantly less and offered to come take a look. Mind you, Pierre's company doesn't advertise weekend service, but he showed up an hour later in shorts and flip-flops. On a Sunday morning. Gotta love it!

He gave the same estimate as he quoted on the phone, made some calls to arrange for a unit and service the next morning, and by noon Monday the job was done. It's not just about the price. It's about the responsiveness, the thoroughness, and the transparency. Pierre is a straight shooter who gets it done. We got a new water heater and a plumber for life.

Thank you! Thank you! I can't say enough good things about A&T Service Plumbing and Pierre! It had been raining for more than a week, my father was visiting and So I was preoccupied with that and the same day my father flew home, my mother in law passed away. My husband, had to fly out of town leaving me and my kids home alone.
I thought I heard water running in the walls of our downstairs bathroom, but my friend said it was probably just my son upstairs in the bathroom. The next day, we had a notice on our door that we were losing 105 gallons of water per minute!!
Thank GOD my husband showed me how to turn off the main water line to the house. My friend checked all around the house to see if water was flooding up but he didn't see any with the long grass from the rain.
I called 3 plumbers (it's a holiday weekend coming up) no one could come, they are all back logged. We had one who could try to make it Tuesday! Luckily, I was able to leave a message at A&T and then talk to Pierre, at their emergency line. He is also very busy but he was shocked we were losing that much water and made time to come out right away, just to make sure it was all safe.
He was there in 15 minutes. He checked the water, all around the house and diagnosed the issue within minutes! It was pretty bad, that we lost so much water for who knows how long, but he got it fixed and was on his way! I can't even imagine what would have happened if this had continued on and on while my husband was out of town. I am so grateful and will always call A&T from now on for any plumbing issues. A++++

Justin Raimer is seriously a god send ! I live 4 hours away from my property in Austin and got a call from
My tenant at 7pm that a pipe burst in the wall at my condo ! I didn't know what to do or who to turn to ! I didn't even know how to tell the tenants to turn off the water gushing in the walls of my unit . I've previously used A&T Plumbing for a leak in a different bathroom and he saved my property and he saved me money ! He was amazing then and now there are no words for his class act. I was able in my panic to find his number. Ten minutes later he called me back !! He was able to get the girls to shut the water off and instructed them on what else they could do tonight. Tomorrow my plumber ( and yes he is my permanent plumber - wouldn't use anyone else !) will be out at my condo and repair the damage done . I will trust that whatever damage that is done will be fixed and I will be able to sleep tonight . Thank god that people like Justin are still present in this world as it restores my faith in good , decent , kind and compassionate human beings . Not to mention how competent and good he is . Got a Water Pressure Reducer replaced by A&T in October 2020. Over messages the owner told me that the estimated rate would be $425 or more depending from the depth and the accessibility from the pipe, so before they came, I completely cleared up the pipe for them that they could just focus on the soldering not the digging. The technician showed up the day of the apointement at 4pm and confirmed the job could be completed now and no further digging would be required. I am not a plumber but the job looks really clean and the pressure out from our faucet is now correct (approx 45psi vs 90 before). Only disappointment is that he tried to bill me more but I just showed the message from the owner and he applied the $425 rate, probably just a misunderstanding. I would call A&T Service for my plumbing repair, just would get the rate confirmed before they come ;)

Before buying our house we had a hydrostatic test done, which determined the outgoing cast iron pipes were very, very leaky. The foundation is slab, so fixing this would require tunelling under the entire width of our house (over 60 feet).

We got about 5 estimates for the job and A&T was the lowest. Rick spoke with me extensively about ways that we could mitigate cost. His crew came out and got to work immediately--the entire job, start to finish, was done in 2 weeks. They were respectful, clean, considerate, and honest. I nearly cried handing over the first part of the check (it's a lot of $), but knew we went with the right people and did the right thing by the end of it.

We've since hired Rick and his crew for other (unrelated) odds and ends and their prices are always reasonable, information accurate, and their work impeccable. Couldn't recommend them more highly!

Great company with integrity! We had a leak in the bathroom that seemed like it was inside the wall (paint peeled & there was a wet area in sheetrock). We called around & most plumbers told us we'd have to cut into the wall/sheet rock to find the leak. This was the only place that said they had a thermal camera & sonic device that could identify the leak without cutting into the wall. I started to mentally prepare for the huge cost to get this fixed.

When the plumber came out, he identified where the leak was coming from, and thankfully was not inside the wall. He then told my husband where the leak was and how to fix it since it was a very simple sealing job. We had no idea how simple this was. They could have taken advantage of that & charged us an arm and a leg to do this work, or a huge amount for using their thermal camera or sonic device (which they didn't need after all). However, it was clear that these guys are focused on fixing what needs to be fixed, taking care of the customer, educating us, and doing that with integrity. We will definitely use them again any time we need plumbing services.

I highly recommend A&T service plumbing. To make a long story short, I hired a plumbing company (well known in Austin) 2 weeks ago for some minor repairs around the house. Upon completion of repairs my outdoor water Faucets began making an incredibly loud sound. I called the company back so they could fix the problem they created. The solution they recommend was installing a PRV for $775. I knew a PRV was not needed as the City told me my water pressure was fine.
Feeling frustrated I called A&T plumbing and Pierre came to check out my outdoor faucets the following day. Within 5 minutes Pierre corrected the problem and even showed me how to replace the faucet.
So, if you are looking for an honest, reliable and professional company I highly recommend A&T Service Plumbing.

Today I needed a new faucet replacement with sprayer and soap despenser. I was given great service once again. They were running behind and was nice enough to call me to inform me. A&T had to shut off the main line and I showed where it was located. Very gifted plumbers and was glad they arrived since my faucet broke a valve sprayer also no longer worked.The Faucet Direct company sent me an entire new faucet set. They are very reasonable on prices you may consider calling these nice kind guys for your service needs. I trust them completely. One of the plumbers was a Journeyman and is taking his test to go to the next level. Very impressed how these guys get fantastic reviews. I feel can trust and depend on these personable guys to come and work on any plumbing problem. They took a reasonable amount of time to install my new faucet and looks amazing. One pro is the spray would get caught on a valve under the sink by pulling it up and they fixed that problem as well. Very professional honest and beat prices anywhere. If you don't call you will wish you had these plumbers are always there for you when you need them. You have to understand I called several plumbers and they range in price from 90 to 800 to install a faucet. The cheapest was 90 but there was a catch and sounded to good to be true and it was! But overall the charge was so reasonable I will call again. Happy Yelping!

This is my first yelp review. I've used a lot of plumbers, but Pierre and his team are the best I've ever had the pleasure to work with. Just as we were sitting down to pie on Thanksgiving (in the evening) are hot water tank expansion tank sprung a leak, shorting out our wifi. It's a good thing the teens and young adults noticed the lack of wifi immediately (despite it being a family Thanksgiving dinner) or we would have had a flood on our hands. Pierre answered the phone and came over, on Thanksgiving! The issue was fixed within one hour of placing the call to A&T Plumbing. We were so incredibly grateful!
Then, a couple of days later (I couldn't make this stuff up) our grinder pump stopped working resulting in sewage backing up into our house. Again, Pierre was extremely responsive despite it being after hours. Our issue was fixed the next morning. Pierre and his team are extremely responsive, incredibly competent and very reasonably priced. I will be calling them for all of our plumbing needs and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone.

I appreciate the response from the business owner, but this has been consistent prior to the current situation. You can't blame coronavirus for this, as the issue predated it.

If you are okay with a plumber that may or may not show up and repeatedly cancels last minute, they do a fine job and their prices are competitive. I've used them a number of times over the last 6 months, and the only consistency is that they will either call and cancel 1 hour before they're scheduled to show up, or they will just not show up at all.

I could not be happier with the service I received from A&T! I requested a quote via Yelp to have my faulty water heater checked out, and within 30 minutes I had an appointment set up for the following morning. However I received a call from John not 2 hours later who told me they were in the area and could actually come out within the next 20 minutes!

After a quick visit they had diagnosed the problems and given me an estimate. By 9:30 the next morning, my water had a new TMP valve and a shiny new gas valve and was up and running! They even stayed to ensure that everything was running perfectly before leaving.

The best part? The entire job came in $60 below the quoted price, and the turnaround time was under 18 hours from the initial request for quote, to a completed job! I highly recommend this company for any plumbing needs!

What a pleasant surprise. I had what I thought was a leak in a rental property in Round Rock and and had called a couple of companies and got estimates as high as $500 just to show up. I got a good feeling when I called AT (the girl who answered the phone just sounded kind of unlikely to gouge me). The technician went out to the house then called to say it appear to be a stain, not a leak. When I asked if he wanted a credit card or would invoice me, he informed me there was no charge!! NO GHARGE!! I didn't think it was possible that there were still businesses who really just treated their customers fairly. This will now be the go to company for me for not only the rental property, but anything I need here in Austin.

I recently had Justin from A&T come out to clear a clog drain caused by my a/c condensate line that was draining into a bathroom sink line. Not only was he very professional and friendly, he spent some extra time talking about maintenance and prevention steps I could take. He even offered to come back out if I had any issues implementing his suggestions going forward. On top of that, he charged me a bit less than their quoted rate because they were able to get it fixed pretty quickly. I would highly recommend and will be using them in the future.

Highly recommend A&T plumbing. I got a new service tech from the company, named Jason and I wanted to make sure his management knows they've made a great hire. He was highly skilled, professional, also just really down to earth. He clearly had a ton of experience in the field. I had a an urgent fix due to an old toilet flange and piping that was destroyed. I initially thought this could be a huge expense. Luckily found out he could save the flange and vent pipe without having to break ground. Gave a competitive price and I didn't think twice to haggle. He earned the business and I'm a sales guy. :)

The kid that was sent out had no idea what he was doing. I hired A&T to clean out my tankless water heater. The guy came out and immediately broke both faucets. I use both of these regularly to water my garden and the hot water side I use to wash my hands when the other side is in use. The service person tried to say that they were old and stiff. I am a small person and use them everyday. They turned perfectly with ease. I had to argue with him to get him to repair the damage he caused. I argued with him at length and he finally called his boss who authorized the repair. When he was about to leave, I looked at the repair and he didn't replace the brass faucet connectors with the same threaded brass material. He used cheap plastic irrigation connectors that wouldn't have lasted long at all. I then had to argue with him about replacing what I had. It was a nightmare. Thanks for the boss on the phone it was eventually repaired correctly. The photo is the first repair made when they broke my faucets. It has now been replaced with the original brass faucets.

The City of Austin came to my door about 8:30 this morning to let me know that they had turned my water off because it was leaking 4 gallons per minute into the street, yikes! Clearly this is an emergency & I immediately got on Yelp and found good reviews for A&T Plumbing, and bonus, they say they have a 10 minute response time!
After THREE hours, I got a call to say that they had no availability until Monday, seven days away; not really helpful in an emergency....

I had gone through three plumbers before one finally replaced my water heater (the one that replaced it was NOT A&T). When they replaced my water heater, they did something to cause my shower to stop working. After two weeks of no shower and many frustrating calls, I gave up on the plumber that installed the water heater.

A&T was highly recommended by several of my neighbors at the condo complex I live in. I called them and told them about my problem. The gentleman on the phone immediately knew what the issue was (highlighting their experience and expertise!), and walked me through the fix on the phone in 30 seconds. He was very patient and didn't ask for any payment in return for the call.

I've saved their number in my phone and will only use A&T Service Plumbing for any future plumbing needs!

I had written a review in 2013, with a four star rating for repairing a water meter leak. That repair lasted six and a half years, until it failed more or less at the same spot. As the picture below shows, the repair consisted of joining a PVC pipe to a 6 metal pipe coming out from the water meter. Because of a slight angle between the PVC and metal pipes, the PVC broke at the metal/PVC junction due to stress. I called them up, and they fixed it the same day, by adding a small PEX tube section between the metal and the PVC pipe. They were also nice to give a discount. Overall, they're nice people, and they work hard. I'd probably call them again, but hopefully not for the same repair. In all fairness, a five star repair should last a longer time.

Well... Pierre and his amazing crew , did it again !!!
We woke up to cold water last week , and knowing our hot water heater was old , we fully expected that we would need to replace it .
I called my trusted service and Lloyd was available that day !
He arrived on time , very curtious, very knowledgable , and went he went to work .
Within a short period of time he diagnosed the problem and told us , that because of the age of our unit , parts are scarce and or discoutinued .
He could have left it at that because in the back of our mind we knew that a new unit was a possibility ... but he didn't
He searched far and wide and it took a few days but he found the part !!!
He came yesterday with his brother David ( nice guy too ) and installed it !
If you read my other reviews you know I'm a fan , this is more to say that any successful business starts with the owner .. at the top ! Pierre knows that he needs, those representing him to be competent , but he also knows he wants them to be fair ... he hires only the best !!!!

I had a very large plumbing job I needed fixed ASAP, as we had the water turned off from the city main to our house. I called several plumbers, and due to the volume of other residents needing this same repair done I had a really hard time finding anyone to even give me an estimate. One other company briefly stopped by, told me they could start in three weeks and named a price that made me nearly faint- and not from joy, either. And then Don drove up in his ambulance- and this might be one of the best things that has ever happened to me!

Don gave me a quote on the spot, and it was much lower than the previous quote. He was also able to start the next day- but most important was Don's calm reassuring attitude. It felt like he was really on my side. He gave me a couple of different options depending on what he found. Without waiting to hear from any of the other plumbers I hired him on the spot- that's because he was so knowledgeable and was eager to keep costs as low as possible.

I have to mention too that I am an EMT- when Don arrived in his ambulance I nearly fell over laughing! It seemed obvious that Don was meant to be my plumber. Once he began working, the problem was found to be more complicated than we'd hoped, but he still managed to keep the costs down, he dealt with the city inspector and although it was a long job he made it almost pleasant with his sense of humour! We felt like Don was almost a family member by the time this ordeal was over. I just feel very lucky that we discovered this company, and I have nothing but high praise for the work done!

My mother in law had a leak in her transition pipe at the base of her slab so large that when I called the Round Rock water utility, I didn't even have to give them the address for them to know who I was calling about. Pierre came out early on a Saturday morning and made quick work of it with an estimate that was less than all the others I had received. He was very friendly, polite, and considerate. He even came back out two days later to make sure the hole was filled back in properly and check the connections one last time. I was extremely disappointed by the service I received with A&T Plumbing. A plumber was able to come out quickly, which was why I selected them in the first place. He told me that we needed to open our wall to fix our tub spout, and quoted me $750 for the job. As I do not have any plumbing experience, I trusted the plumber and believed in his assessment. It was extremely difficult to schedule them to come out again to complete the job, so luckily I reached out to another plumbing company. The new plumber let me know that it was completely unnecessary to open the wall and completed the tub spout repair for less than $200. I do appreciate that the manager called to follow up when I cancelled my appointment, and validated that the $750 was unnecessary and did not make excuses for his employee. He assured me that the situation would be handled and I hope that he keeps his word. I would not want someone else to be conned into spending that amount of money and time for an unnecessary job.

Pierre is truly a stand up guy!
I've spoken with him twice over the phone and both times he has been EXTREMELY helpful and forthright. Today we had an emergency situation with a burst pipe, and his team/schedule was not able to accommodate a same day service call, however he pointed me in the direction of another plumber whom he trusts and we were able to schedule an emergency appointment with them!
It's not every day you find a business so honest and dedicated to helping people. While I don't have direct experience with Pierre's work, I can speak to his integrity -- would highly recommend!

Don came to check out a clog we had on on bathroom sinks. Unfortunately wasn't able to clear it with a snake. We new we eventually were going to have to replace some underslab plumbing as we live in an older home. Don presented us with a couple options and gave us price upfront. Ended up having him replacing the underslab plumbing by tunneling under the foundation. They worked extremely hard to make it where the plumbing would only be down for a day. Everything in our bathrooms drain so much better now.

Fantastic Company! Don and his crew got an Austin Water demand fixed super quick on my property. A&T Service Plumbing literally saved me thousands of dollars. I called A&T as I had a leak somewhere and couldn't find it after hours of searching. I had a hunch it was on the mainline. Regardless, A&T apologized quickly and said they were booked and couldn't get out until after the weekend. This was the 10th plumber I called, and the 10th time I was told that. I told A&T I really couldn't wait that long, and he apologized again.

However, A&T did something no other plumber did. The gentlemen spoke to me and asked me a lot of questions, and despite that I had done all of the obvious checking, he suggested two areas of my yard I should start digging to help locate the problem. I dug in those two areas, and found the leak 2 feet underground precisely where he said I'd find it. He did say that if I found it and exposed it, he might be able to swing someone by the fix it as once it's discovered and dug up, it's quicker to fix.

I really appreciate the customer service provided. I have another plumber on the way to fix the pipe, but I would not have found it without A&T and likely it would've taken another plumber a while to test everything.

Honest, prompt, helpful and accommodating! Reached out to a couple of companies about inconsistent water temperature. The first company that came out told me I needed XY&Z repaired to the tune of $400+. Then Don came out and said I just needed to flush my tank. He offered to do it, but said I could also do it. A few days later, I attempted to flush the tank, using the instructions in my water heater manual, to no avail. I reached out to Pierre to assist getting my pilot light re-lit. Justin and Dalton from A&T just finished a job to unclog the 2 sinks in my daughters' bathroom upstairs. What could have been an easy job wasnt since the blockage was in the wall in one of the main vertical pipes. But they had the right tools and experience to address it from the attic and resolve it from there. No opening of the walls or associated damage. Really pleased with their professionalism and courtesy, and the cost was very reasonable, less than I was expecting. Will definitely use A&T again in the future.

Don is the man! (Highly recommended)

We needed a plumber for our toilet valve that broke last week, they were honest and told me that they were booked out for a week. We decided it was best to wait a week for them to perform the work since we've worked with Tony at A &T plumbing previously.

Terrific service: 10 minutes courtesy call prior to arrival which was helpful.

Came in diagnosed the problem, fixed it within 30-40 minutes. Also fixed a sink faucet concern that needed attention.

Loved his honesty about the sink and updated me that it simply needed tightening thus no additional materials or cost for the simple fix.

We really appreciated the honesty and the fact that the final bill came in LOWER than originally quoted. (When does that ever really happen!)

Could not be any happier with Don, so impressed with his service and honesty.

I had a new tankless hot water heater installed (not by A&T) as part of a home remodel. Turned out it was a tepid water heater. The sub-contractor told us the problem was the pipes -- not enough gas and would require $$$ to replace all the gas pipes in our house. I wanted a second opinion and A&T came out for a consult -- even though apparently they can't do work on a site if there's already a permit pulled. The plumber called the company customer service of the unit and ran through a diagnostic with them - so apparently its actually a unit or an install problem - not a gas pipe problem! Anyway, five stars for coming out quickly and doing a free consult. I definitely plan to hire them for my next plumbing job.

Rick, their Master Plumber, helped us on a slab leak in record time. With a few glances at the leak and where we had water damage, he knew the approximate location and already had a diagnostic plan to assess the leak and repair is. Then A&T referred me to a wonderful contractor, Diego, who could help with the demo that was needed to expose the piping. All of their help came in wonderfully below budget and very very quickly. A & T Plumbing was great! Another plumbing company told me my Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) was failing and said it would cost $800 to replace. I called a few plumbers to see how much they charged and A & T was the only one that would give me a quote without first visiting. Some even wanted to charge me to come out and give me a quote!

Cannot be happier with A&T's responsiveness, communication, reliability or results. We needed a pressure valve replaced at our water main; we had very low water pressure and hoped that was the problem. My hot water heater broke this past week and Pierre and his team were able to adjust their schedules to replace my unit within 24 hours.

When I first called Pierre to he was very busy doing another large job and would not be able to replace my unit for a couple of days. I called around to several other plumbers I found on Yelp and got a couple of quotes. I called back Pierre to share these with him and get advice on which may be the best one. When he heard what I was being quoted he said that he would find a way to do this work for me and within an hour had a member of his team (Art) scheduled to get my hot water heater replaced the next morning. Not only did A&T replace my unit the next morning, they did the work for $1000 less than the lowest quote I received from the other plumbers. I had a mysterious water leak in my house, and as a first-time homeowner, it was very distressing. A couple of other service providers came out to look at the water damage on my wood floors, but nobody could figure out where the problem was coming from. I called A&T and reached Pierre by phone, who was happy to help solve the mystery. I made an appointment for the next day, and he arrived with another colleague to assist. I was fully prepared to have to pay for a leak in my foundation, and had already called my homeowners insurance to find out how much my deductible would be, which left me completely dismayed. Pierre arrived, took a look at the issue, and asked if anyone had pulled the fridge away from the wall. We hadn't! He pulled out the fridge, and lo and behold that's where the leak had been coming from! A $1500+ anxiety-inducing mystery turned into a $65 repair, and as a bonus Pierre also fixed a sink in the master bedroom that hadn't been working properly. I just had an experience that made me feel like it's 1972 again. Don came to my house, diagnosed my problems and told me the manufacturer would send me a new cartridge for my faucet for free and my husband how to install it. And he left refusing payment for the house call! WHAAT??????? This is what it used to be like when I was a kid.

I can't wait to have a plumbing problem again. He is in my contacts for good! And yes, you have to wait about a week to get a good plumber in to help you. Unless your septic is overflowing, wait for Don.

Awesome experience with Don! We had a number of issues we needed fixing- a couple of stubbornly clogged drains, a leaky bathtub faucet, and a toilet that wouldn't flush. Don was very honest with us about the leaky faucet and said our leak wasn't a big enough issue to warrant the price of fixing it, which would have run us a couple hundred. He quickly diagnosed the issue with the toilet and gave us a reasonable price range for replacing it, and even cleared out our drains without charging us for the service.
In addition, he was able to show up an hour early for the appointment, which worked much better for our schedule! Looking forward to working with them in the future.

So, here I am, my tenant tells me that kitchen sink faucet is leaking under the sink. This takes place on the Thursday before Thanksgiving so I take my previous advice and called A&T. They said they were booked but then changed a couple to things and said they could be there on Tuesday morning. That was great with me, and my tenant was happy. Tuesday, Don from A&T called to ask if he could be early, we said yes, so he arrived, installed a new faucet and was gone. The price was below others, there was no mess to clean up and the new faucet doesn't leak.
All done before Thanksgiving prep needed to commence. Happy all around.

I stand by my last review. A&T treated us like real people and not just another job to do. They are now my go to when plumbing needs arise.

They've done a great job on all of them. Their prices are reasonable, and they don't fix what doesn't need it (the squeaky pipes, for instance, were determined to be operating fine, just noisy). They've come out near-immediately when needed and otherwise have been good about calling or texting back soon and holding to a scheduled time.

Technician came out to house to look at a slab leak. I was looking for a quote to re-route my plumbing through my attic. Tech was nice, checked out the attic and briefly looked at the leak. At this point I had been without water in my home for 3 days which they were aware of. I told them I needed to get the work done asap. Tech left telling me he'd have a quote sent over to me the next day. Never received a quote so early the following morning I called to find out where the quote was. Gal who answered the phone told me she'd make it her top priority to get the quote out to me by close of business that day. That was Friday morning and this is Monday at noon, no quote. I had another plumber come out Friday and he diagnosed and fixed the leak Saturday. Wouldn't recommend A & T.

Pierre just forwarded the email quotes which show that they had my address wrong which is why I didn't receive them. So I stand corrected, quote was sent but to the wrong address. Work has already been done so I'm no longer in need of a plumber.

These guys totally could have ripped me off (I know nothing, John Snow!). But they didn't. They inspected the issue, secured a few pipes in the attic and said everything looked good--so there was no charge. I found these guys on here, and will admit that their 5-star rating is definitely warranted.

When they called to tell me that they had arrived, I was still 30 minutes away, and they told me it wasn't a problem and they would wait.

My plumbing problem required the water to run for quite a while before we could figure it out, and the guys provided some awesome conversation and advice while we waited. (I know that isn't important, but it's true.)

They figured out the problem easily, and they had the replacement part in their truck. They replaced it quickly and professionally, and were on their way.

They relieved our fears of bursted pipes, and I would certainly recommend them to anybody.

If you are reading this, you are looking for a prompt, dependable plumber who won't charge you an arm-and-a-leg. Well, look no further than A&T and Pierre. Pierre came out to fix my leaky bathroom sink. The water was backing up from the P-Trap and traveling up and out the side connection from the A/C drain line. Pierre diagnosed the problem in less than 5-minutes and tightened down all the fittings. The problem was solved just like that! Did he charge me for this (I was expecting at the very least a service call charge)? No, he didn't charge me a dime. He also told me that his wife has a bone-marrow disease and that some of the medicines she has had through infusion cost $40K per bag. He does have medical insurance, but that is not the issue here. The point is that he could have charged me (and could have used the money), but he did not do so. I think that the whole experience speaks to the integrity and kindness of this young man. It should be obvious to you that I shall be a repeat customer -- no question about it. During this COVID19 catastrophe, it's so nice to find a person who still has a big heart. By the way, he has been a plumber for about 18-years, so he definitely knows what he is doing. Thank you for reading this review. I hope you will give Pierre a call. Don't think twice about it.

These guys are amazing! Our shower's hot water spout was leaking and based on what another plumber told us, we thought we were in for a huge job. We called A&T for a second opinion and I'm SO glad we did. Donald, our assigned technician came over and fixed the issue within 20min and was super communicative and honest the whole time, a pair of qualities extremely hard to come by. We plan to redo our bathroom within the next 6mos and absolutely will be using their services. Hopefully we don't have a plumbing emergency between now and then, but it's good to know they have 24hr service!

This is the second time that A&T did not charge me for something minor. In this case, the bottom of my outside spigot was missing. I figured I was going to need a new spigot. Collen discovered that the bottom piece had become attached to a freeze protector that I had attached to the spigot during the winter. I felt pretty idiotic! Collen told me not to worry about it, that he didn't mind stopping by and since he didn't feel that he fixed anything he wasn't going to charge me. A couple of years ago Collen stopped by my daughters house when she was having trouble with the toilet. He made a quick adjustment and did not charge her. He's also done 'real' work for us- had to replace the gasket around my daughter's toilet and had to unclog my own toilet. In both cases the response was fast, the work was neat and good, and the charge was reasonable. Someone always answers the phone which is great as you never have to wait for a response. When my toilet got stopped up, I called at 10 PM intending to leave a message. Imagine my surprise when the owner, Pierre, answered! Great service and great to do business with!

I have been leery of plumbers for awhile. I guess it's several bad experiences. So when I knew I had no choice but to call a plumber this morning I was so pleasantly surprised to find A & T! I left a message on the phone line and then messaged them via yelp. Within 15 mins I had a phone call back from Tony.

He was very friendly and offered to come out to my house for the basic $125 house call fee or he said he'd be willing to try and walk me thru it for free over the phone! I said sure let's try. I stood by the kitchen sink and performed the quick 'diagnostics' he advised and then he identified the problem immediately. Then he told me how to fix it and where I could go to find the replacement part!!! Wow! What I'd been dreading turned out to be something really empowering. Funny how that can happen in the strangest of places. I didn't need someone else to do anything for me, I could do it myself with a little guidance (I like to be self reliant). Anyways, I will definitely be calling A&T for my future plumbing needs. And I'm well aware that my plumbing skills are limited so there will be calls made.

I had a major jump in water usage in my August water bill and it started a panic of sorts to figure out the root cause quickly. It took me a while to find my water meter near the street and I quickly learned I had a leak. I called A&T Plumbing on a Saturday morning and gave them 60 gallons per hour as my estimated leak size. From just that number A&T already had a rough idea of what likely was the root cause and they sent someone over near the end of the same day. Rick confirmed my suspicions of a leak near my water meter junction and within an hour he replaced the broken device and stopped the water leak! He also helped fix a minor leak I had in my kitchen sink and I paid about $500 in total.

I was very satisfied with the entire ordeal.

Excellent service - reasonable priced. That about sums up my experience with A & T Service Plumbing. Here's my story: I had been using a plumber with whom I had a very good relationship for almost 20 years. But as we all know, all good things eventually come to a end - he retired. I found another good plumber and and darn if he didn't sell his business to another larger company. Charges went up exponentially and soon I needed to call my banker before I called the plumber. If that was not bad enough, about half the time they came out they didn't fix the problem.
I got a good recommendation for A & T Service Plumbing from Neighborhood Network and gave them a call when I had a leaking toilet. They were up front with me about having a service backlog and gave me an appointment in 2 days. Their technician, Don, showed up as promised, was friendly and knowledgeable and quickly took care of the problem. The price was also very reasonable. I now have a new plumbing relationship

I flushed the toilet in the master bathroom and a Putrid smell came forth. It was awful and I assumed a pipe had busted just outside the house.

Rick came over, right on time and really did me right! I suggested the busted pipe and he asked if I used the shower. I told him I hadn't used it in several months, I usually use the other bathroom to shower. He said I'm going to do you a big favor, 90% chance it will fix the problem. He explained that the pee drain in the shower had shut and the fumes were coming from that. He was right! It cleared up the problem. When he was leaving I asked him about a problem I was having with my entry way door. He knew what was wrong and intelligently explained how to rectify that situation. There was no charge, he was honest, forthright, concerned and sincere. What a breath of 'fresh air'. thanks Rick, you've got my business and highest recommendation.

Horrible service. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.

Had two different plumber come out from this office with completely different solutions to our problem of a drippy faucet. Initially first plumber said it would be about $150 and an easy fix. Since we live in an apartment we need to coordinate with the HOA to turn off the water for the entire complex. It's a huge hassle, but not their fault. Just part of living in an older community complex. Once we had it scheduled with our HOA, A&T Service Plumbing confirmed they understood the project, and agreed to the time and date both through text message and phone call. We even got a phone call confirmation the day before from some agency they use in San Francisco. Finally the day and time arrives and they don't show up. After calling multiple times to find out what is going on, we find out that they assigned our situation to someone new or maybe just forgot (?). The second guy shows up casually 1 hour and 15 minutes late to the appointment. Meanwhile the contractor from the HOA and I are just waiting.
New estimate is around $800 and involved breaking through a wall. Obviously too big a project to do on the spot. Then they have the nerve to call me an hour after and pressure me to make a decision about moving forward because they are very busy.
We're pretty reasonable people and understand that sometimes repairs are more involved than initially appear, but the lack of professionalism was unacceptable.

We called A&T plumbing to come check out a leak at our house. We knew it was coming from upstairs but didn't know where. The appointment-setting process was very simple and pleasant. Don was outstanding! After having 3 different plumbers come to our house, each with a different diagnosis for the leak under the sink, and each not properly fixing the leak, I called A & T on a friend's recommendation. I recently had A & T plumbing out. I had several plumbing items that needed addressing. Don came to our house and he was extremely helpful and honest. My house was built in the early 80's. One of the tub facets was leaking. Don shared he would have to go get a cartridge and would return to my house after getting the part. So I realize that he will be removing the brass fixture. I asked him if I could go buy a non-brass one that would fit. He told me yes. Don, gave me very specific instructions on what I needed to buy for it to fit. While he was out getting the part, I got the new trim kit that met his requirements. (The lady at the plumbing supply store told me there was no way that he would be able to replace the cartridge and that trim would not work. We would have to rip into the sheetrock or the tile, yada, yada, yada. So i left and went to Home Depot.)

But Don installed the cartridge and the trim kit fit perfectly-- just like he said it would. No demo necessary.

Don also addressed our other items, even telling us how to do one our selves to save money.

I will definitely call them again for my next plumbing need!

With out a doubt, A&T is one of the best plumbing companies in Austin. I have had several experiences with A&T and each one has been simply fantastic. I have only ever spoken to Pierre, the owner, over the phone but he is always professional, kind and easy to communicate with. Most of the time he answers the phone right away but if I did have to leave a message, he was very prompt with returning my calls.

Rick and Tony are the men that have completed all of my plumbing services. These services have ranged from replacing a shut off valve to fixing a leaky pipe to putting in an entirely new sewer line; and they have all been finished to my highest level of satisfaction! I honestly cannot say enough great things about Rick and Tony! They always arrive on time and do amazing work. From the first appointment I made with them, they have been nothing but professional, honest and helpful. For some of the minor fixes, they even let me observe them work while they explained how I could fix it myself the next time it happened.

I highly recommend this company to anybody in need of a plumber service! Their work is high quality at a very reasonable price. I most definitely will continue to use A&T for ALL of my plumbing needs in the future!

A&T plumbing saves us when we had a gas leak, they went above and beyond to be helpful. We had a leak under our house and the gas company had our meter taken away once they realized they couldn't find the leak. We tried our home warranty company but failed with them. So we took a chance with A&T and couldn't be happier. Rick was super helpful, even suggesting to my husband how to cut the cost of the over all bill, by telling him how to check for the leak himself. My husband found the leak and they were back to fix it. The only complaint I have is they are so in demand, that you will have to wait. But it was worth it to work with an honest and talented plumber.

Based off their ratings on Yelp, I emailed A&T and received a response within minutes on a Sunday. We set up an appt (non-emergency), and Don and Blake arrived at our house early (after they called to make sure it was okay) to fix our toilet. I was having trouble with an upstairs bathtub/shower leaking and leaving water stains on the downstairs ceiling.

Don was able to diagnose the leak as being caused by the old, cracked tile around the tub and not the plumbing. Since there was no plumbing work to be done, he was very gracious and did not charge us for the visit. We are very grateful for his help.

This is really not something I wanted to do, but considering the pain and aggravation they caused me - it simply must be on record.

My wife called them for a problem with the ignition module on our hot-water heater, as we have learned to let licensed/bonded/insured professionals service anything plumbing and electrical. We saw the yelp reviews for A& T and decided to give them a shot.

What happened is quite literally unbelievable.

The guy that came out did not know what he was doing and installed the thermal coupler wrong, causing flames to shoot out of it. I was out of town on business, and my wife expressed concern, and he said it was just sediment burning off. She turned it off and called A&T and asked for them to send someone else. They did not want to, and she called me and we decided to leave it turned off.

We called a different plumber who came out and warned of how dangerous the situation was and then called A & T to explain what was wrong - and this is when they wanted to come back out and got a bit pushy with my wife. I called the # and said that I was on my way back into town and that I did not want anyone from A&T on my property and said that I did not think we should have to pay for a service that nearly cost me a home fire.

I got an earful from the owner, who literally assaulted my ears with a high pitched squeal of heavily slurred belligerence which, considering how heavily slurred it was, led me to believe it was best not to continue the conversation with someone in that state of mind.

We emailed them and explained it was best to communicate in writing moving forward and explained several times that they need to stop making threats to file criminal charges and a lien on my house, but calm down and let me explain what happened.

But this conversation went in circles and the emails became more hostile and eventually they; A & T service plumbing, made good on their threat and filed theft of services charges against us with the Williamson Co sheriffs office, who by the time I explained over numerous calls and emails to the detective, was as furious with them as I was for wasting his time.

A & T is lucky that we did not file charges against them, or sue them in turn.. but as such I feel this review is duly justified.

We hired Rick with A&T to do a cast iron pipe replacement under our master bathroom. We got three quotes and his was the lowest and he also came very highly recommended by a trusted friend who had him do a whole-house cast iron replacement. They were able to do the job quickly and so far we've been pleased with the work. The tunnelers they hired dumped a bunch of rocks and dirt in our side yard, but Rick had them come back out and remove it. He ended up having to bust into our living room wall to reach some pipes, but his guy returned to do a basic drywall repair that suits us just fine. We planned to try to get the home sellers to reimburse us for the job, since the pipes were clogged the day we moved in, and Rick said he'd help us by rewriting the invoice to reflect all the things he told us in person. Unfortunately, after several calls and voice messages, Rick stopped responding, hence the one star off.

They replaced a leaking shower handle and a long overdue water heater. They did a great job, were very friendly and the prices were reasonable. I asked them about a few other services and they were very upfront about the cost and the actual necessity. Not pushy at all.

Excellent experience, starting with no charge initial quote visit. Received a courtesy call the morning of scheduled diagnostic/consult visit informing us he was about 1/2 hour away (scheduled time 8-9am, arrived at 8:25am). After explaining our presenting water pressure issues (no pressure loss outside, but pressure loss inside house) he (Rick) went straight to our water softener system and simply bypassed it with the bypass valve, and problem solved. He went on to offer advice w our system and explain the difference between reverse osmosis softeners and others, and the pros/cons of each and the potential problems they may cause older piping in long run... made our day that our issue was fixed for free! Very honest, trustworthy, and professional was the business experience with A&T Service Plumbing! Other companies were charging $75 initial visit... ended up gifting an old gift certificate and some meal money for their time/courtesy! ***our call was for pressure issues, not softener issues, so we're extremely happy***

No one likes a plumbing emergency, especially related to a water heater. So after mine failed and flooded my house, A&T saved my bacon. They were able to come out the day after, and quickly and expertly install my brand new Rheem at a very reasonable price. In addition, they changed the connections so that the lines going in and out of the heater could be disconnected at the house side as well as the heater side. As I was told, doing it that way will save you $150 if you have a line problem in the future. How many companies try to make things better for the customer while reducing the chance at a later payoff? Not many.

Sometimes, I like to open the closet and just stare at how lovely my new water heater looks in my house. A&T, you did me right.

I write reviews when something happens that really knocks my socks off either good or bad. In this case, Pierre went so far above and beyond the call of duty that he needs to be recognized.

Of course in the universe of Murphy's Law, our hot water heater went out the night before Thanksgiving. I spent a fair amount of time trying to get in touch with a plumber and getting no return calls. All of a sudden around 11pm, I get a text from Pierre who said he had been working for 12 hours straight and asked if he could call me tomorrow which happened to be Thanksgiving. I said absolutely and went to sleep not really sure if I would hear back from him given it was a national holiday. Lo and behold, Pierre texted the next morning and we talked on the phone. I explained the issue still expecting him to say he could come the following week or that he was booked or that a service call on a holiday would be prohibitively expensive. None of those things were true. Pierre came to the house within a half hour, fixed the problem and offered future solutions. He was amazing and I cannot recommend him enough! A & T Plumbing and Pierre are now our go to plumber. Honesty, reasonable prices & customer service that sets the standard for all service industries. That's what you get with A & T.

10 out of 10. Great service. I had them out to fix my low water pressure. They fixed some minor things which fixed the issue and they charged me nothing for it. Another company would have easily charged a $100 or $120 service fee just for coming out. Will definitely use these guys again.

This company SAVED me today. I had a leak and as a single mom who is not particularly handy, I was panicked. The woman who answered the phone was kind and empathetic. The plumber was prompt, courteous and incredibly skillful and had it all replaced so quickly! I hope I won't have a need for a plumber again, but if I do, I will NEVER another plumbing service!

We noticed the tiles in our bathroom were very hot and we had a possible slab leak. We tried A&T because they had great reviews on Yelp and others. The reviews were definitely correct! Pierre came out and checked out the house, and even used his thermal camera to look for hot spots. He also checked the water meter to see if there was a leak registering, and luckily there wasn't one. He did give me a thorough explanation of what to watch for, and how they would fix it if they did find a leak. He even called back later that night to check up. He only charges for work that he does, and he couldn't have been friendlier. A&T is definitely our new plumber for anything that happens in the future.

When I needed a water heater replacement I looked around for a plumbing company and called several for a quote. A&T was very competitively priced and seemed the most attentive when I called so I booked them to come out and do the job. It seems my instincts were right on. They did a great job for a great price and made sure I was completely happy before they called the job done. I could not have been more happy with the service I received from them. I have since called them several other times for my plumbing needs and have been very happy with them every time. I plan on using them in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a plumbing company.

This is the first review I have taking the time to write. I was so pleased with A& T 's services. Rick came out to my house, he was professional and helped me tremendously. He went above and beyond his duties, by taking the time to call Moen, to get my parts replaced for free. He also looked at all my bathrooms to see if there was a problem. They did not charge for the first visit, I will pay when he comes back. That was shockingly a great surprise.....most companies charge both times. I was looking for a good, honest plumber, looks like I've found them. I will let you all know how my next visit goes, but for now, I definitely recommend A & T........and I'm not easily impressed.

I got out of the shower to find that a backup had caused all the shower water to come up and over my kitchen sink, flooding my kitchen and into the living room. I called A&T and it was fixed quickly and professionally for a fair price! He also took the time to explain what had likely happened and tell me some options that would help fix some underlying problems (options that would require a different kind of company, so no sales pitch). The incident also broke the disposal and he removed the broken one for us, even though we were installing the new one ourselves. Above and beyond!

My water heater finally crapped out about a week ago so I called Union Jack, a plumber I found on yelp who rocks.

Union Jack said he doesn't do water heaters anymore but recommended I call Texas Water Heaters. I did, and they just had what seemed like a hard sell to me. Plus their price was higher than others.

I also called Blue Dragon and A&T. Gilbert at Blue Dragon was great but his price was the highest.

OK, sorry, back to A&T,Tony was the only guy I spoke with who just gave me advice without any kind of hard sell. Even if you don't use us, I'd highly recommend going with a Rheem he said. That was one piece of advice but after a few calls to figure out who to use, I decided on A&T just because I felt pretty comfortable that Tony is an honest guy.

Everything went well and I've got a nice new Rheem Fury installed. I recommend them.

We needed to replace the turnoff between the city side and the house. I got quotes between $400 and $600. Pierre's quote was in the $400 range, saying it was probably $400-425. After digging it up, he found out there was a part he did NOT need and the bill was only $375. WOW! Great work, there when he said he would be, very pleasant and helpful, and charged LESS than initially quoted. When does that ever happen! I've found our new plumber!

Pierre with A and T has done all our plumbing-installing vanities, switching out garbage disposals and even fixing/finishing some of my husbands started projects.

Now we are remodeling and he will be doing all our plumbing because he is quick, shows a sense of urgency, straight forward and fair. It's so hard to find a good guy who you can trust. I always recommend these guys to my friends & family.

Donald just left and let me tell you all the great reviews are 100% true. When I told him the unique situation that was happening in my house (I had a loud humming noise coming from the pipes in my house especially from my bathroom and laundry room at 5am for the last two Wednesday's) he told me he would investigate it at no charge and only charge for the repairs that were needed and after answering some of his questions a light bulb popped into my head and he looked into what I was thinking might be causing the problem and sure enough he found the problem and solution. I told him I wanted to pay for his time but he told me it was okay, gave me a thumbs up and went on his way. He even checked my water pressure before coming to my door. I'm going to be referring him and the company to all my friends who need a plumber. I promise you that you won't go wrong with A & T Service Plumbing. Integrity and honesty for sure. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

I called Tony on a Saturday afternoon and left a message... A short time later, he called back. He was very courteous and helpful on the phone, and gave my a verbal (very reasonable) estimate on the phone. I agreed to have him come out to do the work...

Had Tony out to fix what I thought was a failing wax ring that I was not psyched to do on my own. He was right on time (actually a bit early), and to my surprised, dressed quite well for someone who does some tough manual labor.

I showed him the symptoms, and explained to him that I had tightened the bolts but wasn't sure that was the solution. Surprisingly, he was gracious enough to say that he thought I might have fixed the issue myself, and to give it some time before I go through the expense of the ring replacement.

He started heading for the door... no charge, despite me asking him a couple times to at least cover his breakfast or something. I even asked him a few more questions about his fees for this and that service and they all sounded VERY VERY fair -- much below what you'd pay the bigger places in town.

I am a big fan of small business, and I think Tony a great example someone who takes great pride in having is own business and also in serving/helping his customers. If his work quailty is on par (which based on the other reviews, it must be) with the ethics I saw in the way he runs his business, A & T Plumbing Service is the FIRST and ONLY place you should call!!

Bottom line: I am now a big fan of A & T. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Honest. Listen. Quick. Clean. Funny.

I've got a great AC guy. I've got a great roofer. I've got a great tile-er. I've got a great electrician...but plumber - never been satisfied with one... so, I went to yelp and wasn't let down. A & T Service Plumbing are my new go to guys.

Honest: Wowzers are these guys good (our plumber was Art)! Had a leaking toilet and called these guys over. Art inspected my throne and told me I need a new one. [Although we were only having problems with one toilet while he was there we wanted them to inspect another of the same vintage just in case it was as bad as the first...Art took a look at it and said it didn't need replacing (really appreciated his honesty).]

Listen. Art mentioned a new toilet would save me a lot of water but I told him I didn't want one of those new high efficiency toilets that didn't flush worth a crap (couldn't help myself). I told him I wanted my dad to be able to visit...if he needed to use the toilet...he could and not have to worry about the damn toilet not being able to handle it. He told me he had the perfect toilet in mind.

Quick: Art procured the new toilet, installed it and was out the door.

Clean: How many contractors have you had that cleaned up? Art not only cleaned up after himself...he cleaned the floor where the old toilet sat for 30 years. Yucky!

Funny: Art also was great for a laugh or two.

I am happy to say I now have a plumber [and a toilet that can handle all of my dad's shit (even though my mom couldn't)].

I found this company on Yelp when I had a water heater leak on Easter Morning. I called and they said it could just be a pipe leak, or worse, an entire new water heater. They came out first thing (7:30am) Monday morning and said it was just a leak, but quoted me a replacement for the water heater since it is 19 years old. The repair (short term) was quoted at $165. I said, yes, just do that. He said he would do some extra things to make it better (plumber lingo). So I wondered if it would be higher than his quote. No! I got the bill and it was $155. Unbelievable. I've never had a repair person quote me one price and then charge me less. Usually the opposite. These guys are legit in my book.

We needed a kitchen faucet replaced and contacted Pierre at A & T based on reviews. He was quick to respond and we set up a time. When I got home, I discovered water running out of our garage from our hot water closet, but couldn't find the source. As water was continuing to run, Pierre showed up early and quickly found the problem (which was thankfully not located between the first and second floors). He not only fixed that problem but installed the faucet in record time. Everything was clean and neat when the job was over and everything works great. I highly recommend A&T. I will definitely use them again.
UPDATE: Foundation leak! Luckily it was an outside wall and around the outdoor faucet. Their crew came out the next day and quickly identified the problem. They fixed it so we could have water to the house and will come back next week for a permanent repair. Super courteous and professional and reasonably priced. They are now my go-to guys for plumbing!

I have low water pressure in almost all my faucets. I checked everything I know off and didn't know what to do. I decide to call A&T for help. I explained to the technician what happens, and also told him the recent replacement on the water pipe. He immediately told me to check the faucet filter and see if there are lots of sands/debris. Addendum: within minutes of posting my review (below), Don called to discuss and to apologize. He offered to refund my money since I wasn't satisfied, which I declined to have him do because as I pointed out, he did do the work and it was fine. I've added a star to the rating because he called to discuss this and wanted to make things better. JT

Initial review: Showed up on time but quickly said he could fix only one of the two plumbing issues that I had requested because I would have to order a part for him to use for one of the jobs. He didn't offer to go get the needed part as an option, which surprised me that he expected me to get it since I know nothing about plumbing parts and no other plumber has ever told me I had to supply the parts! He then tried to leave without fixing the other issue, saying he'd do both jobs after I got the part--when I told him I wanted him to go ahead and do the other installation since I had taken off work to meet him, he then said that in that case he'd go pick up the part for the other job task rather than having me do it and that way he could complete both of my requests that day--wow--what a good idea....The other job was to install a new toilet bidet to replace the old one that had broken which took him about 15 minutes to do---he then took the old bidet without bothering to ask me if he could have it (presumably to refurbish and sell). While I decided not to ask him to bring the old one back even though my son had said he wanted to try to fix it to use at his house, after the plumber left I realized he had also taken the instruction/owner's guide for the new bidet. I called and asked him to return the owners guide, which he said he would do the following week--he has never returned it. I had to spend an hour online to find the instructions re how to work the new control system, since it was different from the previous one and without the instructions it wasn't clear how to use it. I will not be using A&T plumbing again. JT

I had a toilet leaking onto the floor from the tank. The owner himself came out. He tightened 3 bolts (How they got loose is a mystery to me). He would not charge me anything for the call. Three days later the other toilet stopped up. He sent someone out within 2 hours. Everything great now. The owner is very, very nice as is the technician who came today.

Had an AC company over to fix my upstairs AC unit. They informed me that there was a strong smell of gas coming from the water heater and that I should call a plumber - quickly.

Called through the top rated ones for Austin on Yelp. I got very lucky with A&T Service Plumbing! They were the only ones of the top rated that called back right away, and within 1.5 hours were at my house. Fast!

Not only that, extremely honest. The tech went with me to the attic, did his gas leak test, found the leak and told me how to fix it on my own since it was simply tightening a connection. WOW!

Gave him a tip for his great service and he was on his way. It's good to know that I now have a plumber I can count on!

We had a stinky sewer smell coming from the toilet once in a while. Tony is honest and knowledgeable, he came and fixed our toilet with no problems even though he had to use two wax rings to make it seat properly everything is working great now with no stinky smell. Wanted to give a recommendation for A & T Plumbing. They recently cleared out some roots from my crape myrtle in the front yard that had started to grow into the main drain line. This caused water to back up in my downstairs bathtub and more water coming up from underneath the floor. Don and his crew came over the next day, ID'd the problem and flushed the line immediately to unclog the damaged line. I didn't explain the problem accurately on my initial call, so they would have needed more time to fix the big problem. So they had to come back a week later due to a busy schedule. It was worth the wait as they had the line repaired in 2 hours. Don was very informative and friendly, and they raked over my front flower bed as well as possible with having such a large crape myrtle removed from it. All the great reviews for A & T are well-founded. Add my name as a very satisfied customer and one that will use them again.

I figured, how hard could it be? I needed a new toilet, so I asked a couple of friends who knew their way around a bathroom (they both own bars downtown--don't judge). ProFlo, they said. Right-O, I said. So I went and bought one on the CHEAP at Ferguesons ($150 or less). I watched a couple of YouTube videos, and said, this should be no problem. Then that inner-voice started talking. What if it's not that easy? Where are you going to pee then?! Thank goodness for my inner voice. I saw Yelp's reviews for A&T and gave them a call. I took off work a little early, and watched the Beatles on Hulu. Nice guy, that Rick from A&T. However... The flange had attached itself to my old toilet, and the project I thought I could do so easily wasn't so easy. He had to drill into the subfloor a bit and put in a new flange (Google it, if you must). Now, he said, if we ever have a tornado, grab the toilet, because it's not going anywhere.

They have performed several projects for us, and the quality, workmanship, response time to emergencies, have been awesome. I saw all the 5 star reviews before I called, and yep, I have to add one as well. I called to have my nonfunctioning garbage disposal replaced. I just got a phone call reporting that it took less than 2 minutes to fix: there is a reset button on the bottom. And there would be no charge. I think that is incredibly gracious, considering that they are within their rights to charge for the house call (or that some people would have made up something in order to make some $$). I hope I never need them again, but if/when I do, I'll have good reason to feel well cared for. Thanks A&T!

Donald was awesome! I had a broken pipe that was near the street, it was also full of roots. Donald cleared and repaired my pipe as well as my neighbors! I was out of town when the repair took place but Donald kept me informed on the process with texts, photos and phone calls. I was charged what was quoted, which I found out was quite reasonable when compared to other companies. It was an expensive repair but Donald did excellent work and made it as painless as possible!

I had a great experience with A&T Service Plumbing. They came out for a free quote, and based on Don's knowledge and professionalism I already knew that I wanted to go with them for the job. When he came to remove the gas heater and reseat the toilet, we had another issue with a valve in our other toilet that he quickly replaced at no additional charge. I highly recommend Pierre and his crew. Pierre is HONEST and will not try to sell you services you do not need. My water heater was leaking through my ceiling about to burst and he was at my house within 5 minutes and started draining it. He explained to me clearly what was happening. I also used Pierre for my garbage disposal it was backing up into my house and within 10 minutes he had it drained and had me washing dishes again . I also plan on using him to go over my yard irrigation system when I get a chance. Rick G did great job, quickly fixing my feeble attempts at home repair. He was very informative upfront about what he was going to do, how long it would take, and an estimate of the cost. During the job he also explained things well. We also had a great conversational exchange, in which he asked me questions to better understand my concerns, and gave me some sound advice on the idea of a pre-emptive water heater replacement when I asked him to take a look at the one I have. Now for the work performed on this visit, the first one I have had from A & T Service Plumbing: I had outdoor faucets with vacuum breakers (anti-siphon) on them, which had worn out, causing the faucets to spray all over when attached to a hose. When I went to replace them, I found that the setscrews were broken off by the original builder of my home, in order to prevent removal of the vacuum breakers. To remove them you either have to drill out the setscrews, or use a Dremel tool to either create a makeshift slot at the top of the setscrew's shaft so you can unscrew it, or just cut off the vacuum breaker completely. Well, I found that it is easy to strip the threads of the hose bibb when attempting any of these methods to remove the vacuum breaker. Stripped threads will also make your hose spray all over from where it attaches to the bibb. Rick replaced the bibbs with no problem. The second issue that I had and Rick fixed on this visit was with a bathtub diverter spout. He had to add a coupling to extend the nub of copper pipe that was the result of me cutting the supply line too short in my amateurish attempt to replace the bathtub diverter. Now my shower diverts perfectly with no leakage! Again, Rick explained exactly what he was going to do, what parts he needed, and the estimated cost of the parts and labor. Rick is friendly, knowledgeable, experienced, and skilled. Not only do I highly recommend A & T Service Plumbing, as well as Rick G, on Yelp, but I will be telling my friends.

Don is highly recommended. The gas line to the my stove stuck out too much. I did not know until after installing the new gas stove. I decided to call A&T after a seeing good reviews. As stated in other review, Don is honest and professional. He gave me 10 min courtesy call before arrival. The work is quick and meet all my expectation. The gas stove now fully touch the back wall and looks much better. All in all, I would definitely call for his service again if I need something else

Tony was the best for helping with my plumbing issue. I live out of state and had an insurance claim for plumbing. It was a long process due to insurance company making problems. The work was done great and he worked with me over the phone to get everything handled. And the scary part is he did not overcharge me for the repairs. haha... He was totally honest and upfront about everything that needed to be done. He even found plumbing issues the original company the insurance sent had missed. I really appreciate all the hard work from his company.

I own a couple of rental units in Austin and was looking for a good plumber. Tony has gone above and beyond several times and he is now the first person I call. Not only is he able to come out in a reasonable time, on numerous occasions he has told me what I can do to save money. He has even told me how I could solve the problem so he didn't have to come out, many times this would have cost me $100+ with another plumber. Stupid me, put a heap of potato skins in the disposal, and clogged the whole sink. After calling two other plumbers and getting no response, I turned to Yelp, where I found these guys. I called and left a voicemail, and got a call back within 30 minutes! Tony was super nice, and talked me through what I needed to do, so I could save $115. How many plumbers would do that?!? I did exactly as he said and my drain was clear! I called him back and thanked him profusely.

Just want to reiterate my prior rating of this company. I worked with Rick recently and he was also awesome. I won't go into all of the details of the service, but I feel like I got a life hacks with Rick bonus during my appointment. Rick was working on a test for me that had some downtime where we had to wait around, during this time I asked him a bunch of miscellaneous homeowner/plumber questions. Rick is one of the most honest and genuine service professionals I've worked with. He not only took the time to answer my homeowners questions, but he fixed some things for free, and gave me an entire lesson on homeowners insurance and which companies are the best for plumbing issues. I ended up not needing the full test he had come out to do and he cut the service call fee in half without me even asking, which he technically didn't have to do. I'm super impressed with this company of honest hard working guys that truly seem to have the customer's best interest at heart. Thank you Rick, Don and A&T!

Guys were great, accommodating (made it out the next early morning) and incredibly friendly. Was originally quoted $1975 for a new water heater and install. A & T gave me a quote for $1250 (50 gallon natural gas) and did outstanding work installing and had to be creative for our emergency drain. On top of that he also brought in our trash can from the street and was incredibly informative and helpful! Treating every customer like they are your neighbor, job well done!

I didn't end up using A&T this time because another plumber replied sooner and could do the work right away, who I thought seemed professional and competant as well. However, Mr. Nardecchia did call me back and seemed quite competant about the issues I described.

I now feel like I have about 3 excellent plumbers I can call if need help, and I started out clueless (as I am a new homeowner.)

I was actually very impressed with the plumber I did use (85 Rocking T), but I also got very good vibes from A&T as well.

I would also add that when I was researching plumbers that the plumbing board has a phone number you can call if you have the plumber's license number and they will tell you if your plumber has had any complaints, and they said there were none for M38786. That number is 800-845-6584 ext 65249. I don't know how long he has been a plumber, but I think that is a healthy sign.

We had a water leak in the front yard, and a friend recommended Pierre.He sent someone quickly to repair a sprinkler system leak, however still had standing water in the following days. We were out of town for holidays, but he had someone back on Christmas Eve to repair what turned out to be a large leak in the water main into the house. He did not charge additional for the second repair! Very honest and reasonable! I would highly recommend this company; reasonable and honest service.

I called A&T about an under-sink waste disposal unit on the fritz. I called at 5:30 on Wednesday night and - despite this not being an emergency - they set me up for an 8-9am appt the next day. Donald and Frank (I think?) showed up within the promised window, and were quick, clean, and knowledgeable. It turned out we needed a new unit, which they had in the truck. They replaced it and on testing found that that unit had a leak so they replaced that one. They also advised me on a balky toilet and made a quick adaptation rather than doing a bigger fix. I appreciated their knowledge and commitment to do the right job, the right way. They truly are a service plumber as the company name says!

I called him up and told him what was going on with my tub.
Sent him a picture of the tub drain.
He gave me step by step instructions how to fix my issue myself.
He was totally right. Super knowledgable and helpful.

Even though he was too booked to come out and couldn't use him, Pierre is golden. He picked up his phone right away and Pierre and gave me outstanding advice/guidance to the DIY repair I was unsuccessfully trying to make...was even available for a follow up call at 9 pm. Although I would have loved Pierre to come out and fix it, he referred me to another plumber who ended up doing a phenomenal job (excellent, I might..EZ Flow Plumbers). Anyway...even though I wasn't able to use him, I'd recommend anyone contact him if they're looking for someone.

Talk about great service.... Tony was easy to get a hold of, came right out, cleared up that awful drain, showed me how to do it for future reference and was just the nicest guy. If you need a plumber in the Austin area, don't waste your time with those big companies that will likely overcharge you for sub-par work. Call Tony. Customer for life.

Tony just put my water heater in this morning...it was getting old, so we decided to replace it. Tony was on time and just all around great. He showed me what he did and answered any questions I had. You feel so comfortable having him work in your home. He was also nice enough to answer any other random plumbing questions I had. I would highly recommend him...oh and I do to anyone looking for a plumber.

I had what I believed to be a slab leak on a washing machine drain line. I called a number of plumbers, three of which came to my house and confirmed that I indeed had a hole in the drain line.

I received numerous quotes which ranged from expensive to outrageous. I finally found Tony and got a decent quote. Within 10 minutes of being at my house to begin the work, he determined that there WAS NOT A LEAK IN THE PIPE! It turns out my dryer was throwing water into the exhaust vent and causing the leak.

Tony is knowledgeable, honest, returns calls and saved me thousands of dollars. I don't know what else I can say to promote his work. If I could rate him 6 stars, I would.

As an aside, one problem with a slab leak is that you have to make a decision as to how you are going to access the leak. You can either tunnel under the house or break through the foundation (aka chip down) from the top side. The quotes were all over the map, and everyone had a different opinion as to what to do. I ultimately decided to go with the chip down method (cost and potential for settling were factors in my decision). Tony was great in walking me through the pros and cons of each method.

I would say one of the best plumbers I have ever used. Extremely professional. I lost a ring down the drain and decided that instead of losing $10,000 I had better call a plumber. My wife was washing wine glasses and because rings can scratch glass she took hers off and sat it to the side. Sure enough she knocked it into the drain. I looked everywhere and could not find it. The garbage disposal had to be removed. This is where the plumbers found the ring. Eureka! Thank you so much. You saved me more money than you could believe.

Without a doubt, I am a customer for life. I had a pretty serious issue with my upstairs shower and was leaving town the next day. I was able to get the repair done within 30 minutes from my call to A & T Service Plumbing. I was referred to them from my neighbor and could not be more pleased with the service and honesty of this company. A+ is every way. I wish more businesses were like this one. Very happy!

One of my shower handles would not turn off due to the stem breaking. I called A & T, left a message, they called back right away. Travis came out 20 min later and quickly replaced the stems for a reasonable price. Good service.

A & T came out to my house yesterday (the same day that I called them), to diagnose what I thought would be a nightmarishly expensive and time consuming repair. Tony was very thorough and informative in explaining the testing he was doing to determine the cause of the problems I was having. He drew plumbing diagrams, let me watch as he scoped a line, and determined that my problem wasn't as bad as I'd imagined. He and his colleague spent about 3 hours at the house, and charged me an unbelievably fair price for all of the work they did and all of the time they spent. I was really impressed with how knowledgeable and down to earth Tony was, as well as with the affordability and fairness of A & T's prices. I'll definitely recommend these guys to anyone that is looking for a great plumber.

We found our water heater leaking in the morning, so I yelped and found A&T, called Tony and he sent a plumber out in the afternoon. Seeing that it's 10+years old and rusted, Travis said we need a new one and got us a quote. It seemed reasonable (~$900) so we took it and he installed a new Rheem water heater the same day. We liked him so much, we invited him back to replace our food disposal, which cost us about $200 including labor. He also switched out flappers in our toilet for free (just paid for the parts). Travis was quick, efficient, and responsible plumber, so I referred him to a friend of mine to fix their pipe and toilet problems.

The only con was while he did clean up after replacing the water heater, he dumped some debris on our lawn (some small plastic and metal pieces). We found them after he left and picked them up ourselves, but we just wish he had asked for a trash bag and dump them in the bag instead. But it was 100+ degrees that day and our garage was hot, so I guess the poor guy just couldn't wait to be done, so we understand. Overall, very happy with the promptness and reasonableness of this company and overjoyed to find an accountable plumber.

We're doing a remodel and didn't really like the plumber our contractor hired for our bathroom, so when it came time to do a couple of other plumbing things we looked elsewhere. We got bids from several (Thunderbird and a few others) and A&T was the cheapest. So far Tony has done great work, including helping us pass our gas test and identifying a cheaper fix for a leaky pipe. I would definitely recommend him to others.

Integrity. Straight Shooter. Affordable. Very informative and knows his stuff! He came out to our house straight away. He diagnosted the problem with our kitchen sink clog and took the time to explained in great detail how I can fix it MYSELF! How does this guy make money?? I tried to pay him and he REFUSED! I feel bad about not paying him anything. He certainly earned it! Who can say that about a repair man? He not only took care of the clog issue he showed me how to install my under cabinet water heater corrected as I had some code violations. All this in about 15 minutes. So lucky me, I got to go back to work!

If your hot water heater is going to die on you there is no better time than July and August in Austin. That way you can take luke warm showers and baths while you decide which plumber is going to work best for you. And Thank Goodness it was Austin hot and I didn't decide on the first plumber I ran into because in the end, Tony was so far superior and better and cooler and less expensive than the others.
Every review on Yelp hits it perfectly. This guy is great! His estimates over the phone turn out to be true in person. (Home Depot contractors added $600 on top of the original estimate and the plumbers were rude rude, their estimate went from 1100 to $1680!)
He showed up on time. He looked at the situation and never made me feel nervous like it was going to be a huge deal....(other plumbers estimated a big freaking deal...3 times his price)
That would have been enough for a 5 star review but.....he asked if there were any other problems in the house. So, he fixed a bathroom drain that any other plumber would have easily charged 75 bucks. And on top of that, he went out and bought me a tool that will fix drain issues in the future. (it looks like a creature from Alien, but sweet he bought it for me)
I felt perfectly happy with him being in my house which may sound weird but after having lots of contractors that you pray will leave super soon, this was a blessing. Great guy! great service! and now I can take super hot baths during the 100 degree heat. well, an option.

I can't say how happy I am to have found this plumbing company! We had a gas pipe that needed capping in our attic. Art showed up on time and had the job finished in about half an hour at a very reasonable price.

We plan to remodel our kitchen next and will definitely be calling A&T! :)

A&T saved me $150.

My kitchen sink plumbing was clogged. I cleaned the plumbing under the sink and partially in the wall. Unfortunately the plumbing design for my kitchen is not very good (runs horizontal for quite a bit, before going vertical).

A&T quickly responded to the call, listened to my explanation and charged me what they estimated on the phone.

It's great working with a company that gives you an estimate that matches the work charged.

We had a big mess with an appliance. Long story short, Tony diagnosed the problem, offered some helpful advice, and scheduled a return visit after the part we needed was set to arrive. He postponed billing until that visit.

When the manufacturer eventually agreed to provide a free service call by their authorized provider instead of me paying for Tony's second visit, he REFUSED PAYMENT FOR HIS FIRST SERVICE CALL (until I told him that the manufacturer had agreed to pay for it).

I was very pleased, they fixed our fancy pressurized toilet and our shower leak. They were on time, prices reasonable and they fixed it all on the first visit. I liked how they explained everything, showed me the bad parts, and showed me the 3rd party parts invoice, which they do not mark up. I just paid for their time & expertise. And it worked out great.

I chose Tony randomly from this website because I was fed up with the outfit I had been using. After the hard freeze, I had several breaks in my copper plumbing and he fixed them all in addition to a bunch of small things. Great job!!! He was polite and came at times that were convenient. I highly recommend him.

We needed someone to come over to our house quickly to double check some work that a contractor had done. There was a sense of urgency because we could not move forward with the project until we had a professional check the work (repaired water pipe that the contractor sent a nail through--nice). Tony came over within an hour of us calling at the crack of dawn, approved the work and even gave us an estimate on some future work that we could have done.

Having to find a plumber in an emergency is never easy so we REALLY appreciate his fitting us in so quickly. We'll call him first from now on.

Like many reviewers, I had Tony and crew out to replace a water heater. It is a rental property and I don't live in town, so I really appreciated his responsiveness on the phone, willingness to deal with slightly more complicated scheduling, the reasonable price, and even his offer to send photos of certain things that were wrong with the unit and the new unit once installed. Would certainly recommended for water heaters, and I'd imagine they'd be just as helpful and low stress to work with for other plumbing needs.

Tony came to my house on a Sunday about 3-4 weeks ago. I had company in from out of town and my septic was backing up into my bathtub. It had overflowed and had been running down the hallway. Tony called me back promptly that Sunday morning and then came out that afternoon, snaked my drain, told me what to do for future usage and didn't charge me Sunday prices. He was great! I will definitely call him if I ever run into a problem again.

Found Tony on Yelp. Decided to try someone from my neighborhood. I was not disappointed. Tony diagnosed the problem through pictures sent over my cell phone and walked me through a simple repair that I could do myself instead of charging me for a service call. He patiently answered my sort-of-stupid questions and now my water heater works again. Next time I have a plumbing issue, I'm calling him. You should too.

My downstairs neighbor has a water spot on their ceiling. I called A&T Plumbing to come out and take a look. Unfortunately my neighbors couldn't be bothered to show up, but A&T was there. They explained what I needed to look for while we waited a half an hour. They didn't even charge me a service fee. I appreciate their patience, and helpfulness.

These guys are great. Travis came out to the house today to fix a leaking sink problem. Turned out to be a quick fix. Anyone else would have charge a tidy sum for the visit, but Travis wouldn't take a dime. Super nice guy. I might also mention that I am out of town and handling this by phone for our tenants. The guy was still great even without the face to face contact. I did let him know that he's hired the next time our aging pipes get clogged. Anyway, a well deserved reputation.
