The whole experience was very easy and very positive.

I'm not a shill and rarely rely on reviews here but I gotta say: this company is awesome. Had an emergency leak upstairs - they were here in 20 minutes and didn't charge me overboard because of it. Also because they had such good service called them back for an AC service and someone was here an hour later. No high pressure add ons, no bs. They're great.

We were astounded-  The Joslin Plumbing technician wanted 150.00 just to get out of his van.  I'm serious-  as in I'm not getting out of this van unless you write me a check for 150.00......    We were floored.  Staff onsite have no authority to write checks to anyone.  

We are a Church who just had Joslin out 3 weeks earlier to help us with another problem.  That bill came to 750.00.   After the first visit- we thought we had a business we could count on.  
We will no longer be using Joslin Plumbing and will let all other churches in the Franklin , TN (as well as all Middle Tennesee churches in our association) know of our experience.

They may have been great at one time- stay away from them now.

If you need any work on plumbing, heating or AC and you live south of town... call Joslin. Do not pass GO... do not collect $200. Just call them. You will not have to get multiple estimates and compare companies. Joslin is your best choice, hands down.

The people who work here are honest, friendly and hardworking. They aren't out to gouge you and be transactional... i.e., they aren't looking to help you once and forget about you. Their work is exceptional and they treat you like a valued customer, not a number. If the fix is $5, then that's the fix. They aren't going to manufacture a bigger bill for a small problem.

While I'm comfortable with home projects like painting, electrical and woodwork... plumbing and HVAC aren't my thing. I've had them do duct work on my HVAC and replace all my bathroom plumbing hardware (faucets, shower/tub faucets, drains, etc).

My entire family uses this business and they remember all of them. Joslin has done work on my parent's house, my grandmother's and also my sister.  They are personable and treat you the way you should be.

Also... BIG PLUS:  They are attentive and keep their word about calling and appointments.  It's not like Comcast where your appointment is between 8AM Monday and noon Thursday.

Wow-  called to just get a ballpark number for snaking a toilet (3 toilets) and they fought me to give me an idea and finally an impolite person just didn't want me on the phone anymore so He quoted me $500 and hung up. I guess I'll go someplace else and you should too.

Had these folks out to find a solution to a pipe breakage between our residence and a neighbor's house. Following TWO visits, they still could not determine the problem and suggested digging. Fine with me. Scheduled an appointment. Week of dig, received a call that they would no longer do the job as they were too busy, and supervisor said they would not do it. Wasted two weeks of our time all the while having sewage leak out through the pipe. Very disappointed, and would not recommend.

I had two recent experiences with Joslin:

1. On Christmas Eve day our upstairs toilet became clogged and we couldn't successfully plunge it. In less than an hour after our call, Joslin's technicians arrived and had the clog fixed, for significantly less than one of the big name companies had charged for similar services a few years ago.
2. Two days later our disposal started leaking. Again, in less than an hour, a technician arrived and replaced the unit, for significantly less ($100+) than a big name company charged to replace the previous unit four years ago.

I'd give Joslin a sixth star if Yelp would let me.

Extremely poor service and exorbitant pricing! AC stopped working due to the freezing on the outside pipe.  Not very professional service person, refilled the freon at double the cost of other companies without a proper diagnosis, did not reseal their external tubing, refroze again within a week!  strongly do not recommend this company!!

Called Joslin's in the morning & Robbie was at house by 1:00 pm.  Dropped an earring down the drain in upstairs bath & had a clogged toilet in downstairs bath.  He repaired both & found earring & then cleaned trap.  Toilet clog fixed quickly.  He even showed me how to check the drain for hair & noticed that the drain plungers were not working properly so fixed them.  Such a nice guy & was done in 30 mins.

We called Joslin to repair our toilet which has a problem filling up the tank after it is flushed.  We indicated the problem and the service man said it just needed an adjustment.  He adjusted it and it worked for one day.  My husband suggested it might be the mechanism but plumber did not think it needed replacing.  We were charged $70.  Two days later we called back and said the problem was not fixed and we felt that we should not be charged for another service call because the problem wasn't fixed originally when we were charged.  That was not the case; we would be charged again.  This is not right; the problem was not fixed.  We will not call Joslin again and do not recommend this company.

Always helpful!! Great service! I had a leak above my hot water tank. They ran over maybe 10 minutes after I called to shut the water off and then had a guy back a little later to repair it. Who else does that?

I received a call from our water company this morning letting me know we had used over 28,000 gallons of water in the last few days and over 118,000 gallons in the last few weeks. Insanity!

In a panic, I checked yelp for plumbers in the area. Many had similar reviews and it looked like Joslin was local so I gave them a call. The woman who answered the call was friendly and helpful. She got off the line with me to see who was in the area and called me back within 5 minutes. Terry and another guy (sorry guy! I forgot your name!) were at my house within 30 minutes. AMAZING.

I knew the leak was somewhere outside as there were no leaks in the house, and within minutes the guys pinpointed the leak. I was a bit nervous as I knew that if the problem was somewhere outside, that could mean I had to get someone else involved to jackhammer up the foundation or yard - ugh, no thanks.

The guys weren't confident that they would be able to fix it due to it possibly being under the slab, but they said they would get in there and see what they could find.

Fast forward over three hours later. The guys worked tirelessly in the muck and managed to fix it! Hoorah! I was expecting this to drag out indefinitely with contractors and insurance claims, blah blah blah, but Terry and other guy (sorry other guy!) got in there and got the job done, and for a very affordable price I might add.

I no longer hear the water constantly running, every other water source seems to be running fine, and Terry gave me a few tips for what to do in the area of the burst pipe to keep it from happening again.

I highly, HIGHLY recommend Joslin Plumbing & Heating. From the initial phone call through paying the bill I felt extremely satisfied with their service and it was, dare I say, pretty painless (not for the poor pipe though. Sorry pipe!). Terry and the other guy (sorry again other guy!) were friendly, professional, and knowledgable. I will definitely be using them for any other plumbing and/or heating issues we may have.

We were very impressed with Joslin Plumbing. We had clogged pipes that caused quite a mess, but Tanner came in and saved the day! They are prompt, friendly, and got the job done without it breaking the bank. Highly recommend you give them a call!!

Called them yesterday to fix my parents heat.  Showed up promptly today.  My dad is very paranoid about having people to the house to do any work.  He is always afraid they just want to replace, not repair.  His current system was not installed correctly and it would cost a fortune to replace it and he just cant afford it in his retirement years.  The technician today didnt try to sell him a whole new system although he did voice his concerns about how it was originally installed.  He took the time to diagnose this problems, found several issues and resolved them and now the heat is working and he found an issue with the blowers not working right and now the airflow is twice what it was.  Havnt got the bill yet but I'm sure it will be reasonable.  Technician was very nice and professional.  He understood our needs and took care of them.  We have used Joslin before and never an issue.

We've had Joslin to our home several times. They have always been prompt, courteous and professional. They have also always corrected any problem I've had from HVAC to Plumbing. I am not one who actually likes any contractor, and I have honestly never recommended one before, but I must say that the service I've received from Joslin is great, and I will never use anyone else for my HVAC or plumbing needs-you shouln't either!

These guys are fantastic!  Our downstairs central heating was down. We called our friend's large, well-known heating business and they gave us a $7000 bid for a replacement system. Then we called Joslin, and for a few hundred bucks they had it up and running!

Too many artichoke leaves had been pushed through the garbage disposal (never again), and  the kitchen sink was completely clogged.  Joslin Plumbing responded immediately and worked with my busy schedule to come exactly when I needed them in the afternoon.  Mike was able to thoroughly unclog this mess.  He left the area he worked in clean and orderly and was done in no time.  It cost much less than I would have anticipated.  I would highly recommend this company and plan to use them for any heating and AC needs I might have in the future.

They never showed up at the scheduled time, and didn't even have the courtesy to call. Don't waste your time.

We have had an on-going problem with tree roots growing into our main sewage exit pipe from our house to the street and it has repeatedly required us using plumbing services to deal with at least one stoppage per year due to this problem.
I just had to go through another round of that and I wound up using Joslin for the first time. I was delighted to learn three things about them:
1. They out-performed some other plumbing companies that I contacted about this issue in terms of their willingness to help and their speedy response. Obviously that was important to me because when this kind of problem occurs, water cannot be used in the house and that represents a crisis.
2. I found their pricing policies to be more than fair and workable, compared to some of the other local companies.
3. They got the job done and repaired the issue, which was the reason I was looking for a plumber in the first place.

Terrible service and a rude technician. Absolutely tried to rip us off and was three times higher than any other company we called. Stay away from this company.

called them to come fix a leaking shower. took them over a week to get a plumber to my house only to have him look at it and say he needed to order parts... then a week went by with nothing, so I called and they said the parts were back ordered (not sure when they were planning on telling me) but said they would be in a couple days later and they scheduled him to come out tuesday of the next week (this was Wednesday, and a week after the initial  visit. Three weeks after my initial call.)   Tuesday came and went.. nothing. no show and no call... then Wednesday, thursday and friday... nothing. So monday (nearly 4 weeks from my original call and have gotten NO updates or calls at all about any of it, and am told the same BS that it is back ordered and it will be in a couple days... I told them I might just need to call another plumber to which the lady said FINE! and hung up.  
I will not be using them ever again AND not recommending them to anyone...
I had even scheduled a Heating service with them which I was going to cancel too, but she hung up on me too fast... so when (OR IF) they show up next week for that I will tell them that they wasted their time... just like they wasted mine for a MONTH!!!

Justin from Joslin came out and replaced a broken toilet flange and PVC pipe (that I botched!).  Not only did he do a great job with a more extensive than expected repair, but his price was fair and he was very professional.  Will definitely call Joslin with any future plumbing needs.

We had a clog in our pipes that run to the washing machine and the kitchen sink. Once the washing machine pipe overflowed, we called Joslin, and they were at our house within 2 hours to fix the clog. Terry was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

The price was much less than the big competitors like Hiller or especially Lee Company.

We love this company from the first call, to the conversations with staff to finding the problem and fixing. We trust Joslin and will only use them as they are proven to be prompt and reliable even by our neighbors in the NextDoor app. Great job! Please keep hiring/training/employing the best technicians who are  professional and honest like you do!

Drew came out to look at a plumbing job I attempted and failed. He crawled under my house, took one look and told me I needed to cut a certain copper pipe and cap it with a sharkbite. He then told me I didn't want to pay him for that job and told me to have a nice day. No attempt to sell me on more work. No charge. No BS, just strait up honesty. I will have more plumbing to do and some HVAC. I will call Joslin. Refreshing to see honesty in this industry. Thanks, Drew.

Thank you, Joslin for locating and fixing our gas leak and coordinating with Atmos Energy to get our gas turned back on!  And, all for less than 1/2 the cost that the other company quoted just to come out to test for the gas leak.  All of your guys were very friendly, reliable and much appreciated!  Thank you so much!

These guys are great! I live near Nippers Corner and wasn't sure if they would service my area, but fortunately, they did. I fought a clogged kitchen sink for three days with no luck. These guys came out quick and cleared the drain in minutes, and it was surprisingly affordable. I only wish I'd called sooner!

Said we needed a new water heater they would order... waiting for 3 days no news. Called office was told unit was ordered and someone would contact me next day. Asked them to not call at 8 a.m. since husband was sick. They called at 8 a.m. and the gentleman very politely told me that they were too busy and did not want my business! I said I would never bother them again and I won't! No way to run a company.

I'd been neglecting a leaky pipe under the kitchen sink for too long. I'd had another plumbing company That Shall Not Be Named (let's just say one of the well-known companies that advertises heavily) that came out a few months ago, charged what I thought was a hefty price and tried to pressure me into making some expensive decisions. But still left a leaky pipe in their wake.

Joslin came right over within about an hour of my call. The friendly and competent plumber - Terry - diagnosed and solved the leaky pipe problem in about 5 minutes.

Since Joslin charges a fixed-fee for the first 30 minutes, I thought I would see if I could maximize the value of the remaining time and asked Terry if he'd take a look at a toilet that had been running intermittently. Again, it took Terry about 2 minutes to diagnose the problem - a slightly stretched seal on a washer. Another quick fix and the toilet has been silent ever since.

No high-pressure tactics, no gimmicks, just good service and good results in a quick time frame.

I feel Joslin is a company I can trust. And that's a great feeling to have with a plumbing company.

Used to be one of the best in in town but not Anymore!! Absolutely Terrible!! I have no idea what happened to this company but they seriously couldn't care less about their customers anymore! Do not use!!!

Had a plumbing problem the day after Thanksgiving.  They were out to my house within 2 hours of my call, the tech was very helpful and did not make fun of me when I told him that we had attempted repair tips that we found online.  :D  The repair was quick, the service was friendly and the rate was very reasonable (actually less that what we expected).

I would highly recommend them!

Our air conditioner was giving us problems last week. Joslin got Ritchie Glenn out to our house at 7:30 the next morning. We were very impressed with how thorough he was, and even more impressed by his kind personality and professionalism. This was just a reminder to us why we always turn to them when we have a need!

I called Joplin to unclog a shower drain. I called and they sent someone out in a few hours. The gentleman was quick, polite, and the price was only $70! Great experience

We moved into our home last Saturday.  Saturday night we discovered a terrible smell and found out it was from a pretty significant propane leak.  My husband called Joslin and they sent someone out ASAP.  He showed up 1 1/2 hours later on Sunday and took care of everything.  John was very knowledgeable and fixed the leak easily and quickly. He was very thorough and checked everything else related, gas range, fireplace, HWH, and heat and made sure we were good to go.  They did a great job and we will definitely use them again!

Our kitchen sink had been draining slower week by week. Finally, last might it totally clogged and was a nasty situation. Called several of the local big name services and just got on a waiting list and service call rates are charged.  Finally, I found Joslin Plumbing and the receptionist told me that someone would be at my home within an hour. In about 25 minutes they arrived, wow!  Ronnie was courteous and efficient. Had the drain flowing within 30 minutes!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Joslin Plumbing. First of all, I love that they call you when a technician is on the way. They are always here right on time if not a little early.  Secondly, Henry and Danny are so professional and know their trade.  Both have been out to my house (after having another company charge me close to $600 without fixing the issue) and was very thorough in their analysis of the problem and fixed it right away.  This company has wonderful standards and i highly recommend them.

We've used Joslin plumbing on 3 occasions over the last 2 months. They replaced a part on our water heater, unstopped a toilet, and helped us locate a main waterline for our leaking refrigerator. Each time we called, they were able to come out the same day. They were very communicative and always called when the technician was 20 minutes from the site. They were very professional, knowledgeable and even educated us on where to locate important/emergency plumbing shutoffs since we had just purchased the house. Nathan waited patiently on the phone with me while I connected with our  home owners warranty to get approval before the work was done so we could get reimbursed. We are so thankful to have found a reliable plumber and highly recommended them!

Beware of a one line proposal with a nice round number like I accepted!

I am a contractor and I hired Joslin to install a tankless water heater at my property in Franklin, TN. It was a one day job for two men that included extending a gas line and two water lines that were just a few feet away. They did a nice job, but they charged me $5,000.00 for this work. I was unfortunately uninformed at the time that I hired them. A few months later, I am doing the same work on another similar project and am having the same unit, gas work, and water line extension done for almost half of Joslin's price. I purchased the unit today at a local supply house for less than $1,800.00 and paid another company about $800.00 to do what Joslin charged me over $3,000.00 to do.
I expressed my disappointment and regret to the owner today and he didn't seem to care at all. Drew just told me that that's how much they charge... I would strongly recommend getting other estimates, to hold them accountable. I would also ask for an itemized proposal and itemized invoice. Beware of a one line proposal with a nice round number like I accepted! Lesson learned and will make sure to share this bad experience if everyone I can.

Joslin is the first plumber I call. They came highly recommended from friends. We had them replace a plumbing fixture and did a great job. When our water heater went out the day after Christmas, they were the first place I called. They have reasonable prices, excellent service and here when we need them!

Awesome company! So glad we found this honest service organization to assist us better than the smiley face group we used in the past.  We had an issue and the Joslin tech was onsite within 15 minute of calling in, with the problem solved in 10 minutes.  Also, the price was more than fair...  this is a company we will continue to use for years!

On a Sunday night we discovered a leak had developed under our kitchen sink.  The base of the cabinet was totally waterlogged and there was mildew and mold developing.  I couldn't locate the exact source.  The leaking stopped when the faucet lever was turned off so our need for service wasn't an emergency.

Monday morning I did a web search for local, non-chain, plumbing companies and called Joslin first.  They had someone there in about two hours.  The service tech was able to ID the location immediately, a cracked section in the faucet handle workings.  He suggested changing out the entire faucet.  Said he would call with options that were in stock or that I could go purchase one my self.

A rep from Joslin called back within two hours with options, a higher priced Moen and moderate priced Delta.  The higher end option was an identical model as the incumbent so I went with the Delta.  I checked the price they quoted me and it was exactly what Big Box retailers charged, no mark up.

The tech came back the next morning, Tuesday, and installed the new faucet in less than an hour.  It works perfectly.

When the bill arrived today, Thursday, they had not charged for the initial visit because it was so brief.  

BOTTOM LINE:

Every person I spoke with was friendly and professional, they were empathetic and patient with any question.

The service tech was on time every visit, got to it, and was friendly.  He also cleaned up the mess and answered all my questions.

We try to find local vendors and professionals for exactly this reason.  No service provider in a given industry is perfect all the time.  This time Joslin Plumbing was, I couldn't have asked for better service, excellent in every facet of the encounter.

I believe this is a trustworthy plumbing service and would recommend them to family or friends.

Pretty much agree with the other positive reviews. Joslin is the 4th plumbing company. I have used since moving here. I like that they are located in Franklin. They replaced a pressure regulator valve that was making noise, and added an external faucet. The work was done in a reasonable time and at what I felt was a fair price. They also agreed to work with my homeowners warranty company, even though they were not on that companies approved list. Recommended.

After being stood up by another plumber, I called Joslin. Not only was I promised early service, I was called back within and hour and told that a plumber was on his way.  I could only be there for just a few minutes, but my wife was so impressed with courtesy, diligence and competence.  He bent over backward to see that our problem was solved and my wife was so impress with how nice he was. I regret that we did not remember his name but be assured we will call on Joslin for any future plumbing problems.

Joslin is a top notch company with courteous, prompt, and professional people.  The woman answering the phone was friendly and efficient.  They called me back within 5 minutes to schedule an appointment.    They respond in a timely fashion and even called prior to the technician arriving.  The technicians were kind and resolved the issues quickly.  I would highly recommend Joslin.

We rent in fieldstone farms, Joslin is the 'go to' for our property manager. We've dealt with them for 3 and 1/2 years. They seem fine for really easy fixes. But not when the problem is a bit deeper. We went without air conditioning for the entire 4th of July weekend, which hit a high of 99 degrees. By Monday morning, my husband called Joslin for the 4th time to see if they'd ordered the Carrier WeatherMaker two-zone system board - to which the man who came to our home Saturday evening said we needed. By twenty to 9 in the morning they had not, but were sending another tech.... that is when I called and asked why send another tech - the tech on Saturday, who was here for an hour and made 3 phone calls stated with certainty that it was the board. I was told they needed to send another tech to verify. That is when I called another company with our property manager's approval. By 11AM Joslin had still not been to our home - completely unacceptable.

Here's the bottom line, the other company found that the thermostat had been wired wrong, and also wired roughly - the wires are slightly damaged. Secondly, the outside unit had something broken on it, and third, the transformer had blown to which they placed a new fuse. A board was not needed.

I see that Joslin has many good reviews. Perhaps they can turn this around - as to the other company - they spoke highly of Joslin, stating yes, they're competitors, but that they like them very much. That is a class act.

Just called to set up our first appointment after leaving Lee Company due to multiple scheduling issues and missing their arrival windows. So far so good. Very professional and easy to work with. Looking forward to our first spring maintenance appt!

Prompt service at time promised.  Repairs were done well, and Danny was pleasant and careful to keep things clean as he worked.  The price was great--much lower than the company I'd been using. I paid by check, but they take Mastercard and Visa also.  I would definitely call them the next time I need a plumber.
