I use Hiller for plumbing, HVAC, electrical and they are always dependable and professional. Hiller also installed a whole house water filtration system for me. The representatives that schedule are always so kind and accommodating. Hiller always stands behind their work, too.  One time, I had a plumbing emergency and they showed up at 1:00 in the morning and there was no extra charge because I am in the Hiller Club.

Unethical. It's companies like this that give handymen a bad reputation.

My HVAC unit was having issues, so I called them to take a look. I figured they would find the issue and call me to discuss it.

However, they performed hundreds of dollars worth of work WITHOUT ASKING ME and then threatened to send the bill to collections when I contested the charges.

They were completely unapologetic and said they never leave a customer down. I'm sorry, but I would like to make my own decisions and shop around for the best price before committing to something.

I'm completely dismayed by this company and I feel like they duped me into using their services.

I debated even writing this review, but figured I would to save another potential customer the heartache, especially in these hard economic times.

Listen to the other reviewers and run from this company. Run run run!

Absolutely the WORST company ever.  99 degrees outside and still waiting for SOMEone to call or come out, despite three phone calls today.  Our system is dead... and we are HOT.  We will never purchase anything from them again!  Hindsight is truly 20/20.  I have nick-named them happy heller

Two years ago I had a warranty replacement condenser coil installed by Hiller for a very fair price. Expensive? Yes, but that's HVAC, and faaaar less than other companies quoted. Like half of what I was quoted by competitors.

Unfortunately I recently had a small refrigerant leak emerge. Tech came, recharged and pressurized the system then came back two weeks later to definitively diagnose what we thought the problem was. Once it was identified, a new stronger braze joint was done in place of the leaky one, and the system flushed and recharged with refrigerant. Now the house is like a meat locker and I'm absolutely elated.

Two visits in two weeks, with labor and refrigerant covered by Hiller warranty, and now I've got a strong repair that I'm confident will last. I'm very impressed with the service I received both from the office and the tech that visited my home. Extremely friendly, no BS, not trying to sell me a new system instead of performing a repair, and actually covering their previous work with a warranty repair. They stand by their work, and I can't fully express how much that's appreciated.

100% recommend Hiller, and will only be calling them for my needs in the future. THANK YOU!

We have always had excellent service from Hiller.
Today our electrician Jeremy was very polite, informative, cleaned up after himself and did a great job installing 5 fixtures. I have used Hiller on multiple occasions for plumbing and electrical needs throughout the years. I have always been completely satisfied with their service. I also love the fact that they have customer service 7 days a week and they are extremely polite as well!
Totally recommend Hiller!

I hate to give only two stars because the kindness and patience of all of the employees who worked at my house truly deserves 5 stars. However, Hiller does not honor contracts. We had 1 main goal in hiring them, I wanted to be able to shower. This required several things, the pipes bringing the water to our home needed to be replaced to improve water pressure, we had to get a new water heater because ours had just died, the whole pipe leading up to the shower head needed to be replaced, and our drains were crumbling so they needed to go too. We discussed all of these things, signed a contract outlining all of the things and payed almost $15,000. Not a typo, $15,000. When it was all done, I still couldn't shower. When I called about it, they told me that pipe leading up to the shower head was not typically included, this is why it hadn't been done. Despite this very specific job being listed on the contract we signed, they still charged us an extra $700+ to do this and required two service calls to get the situation cleared up and completed. I still feel very upset that the original contract was not honored and we were charged for 2 more service calls that should never have had to take place. I was hoping I had found my company I could rely on and call for future plumbing, electrical and HVAC, despite being told they charge more than others. Unfortunately, I don't feel comfortable using a company I feel is dishonest and doesn't stand by their contract. Fortunately, I have found a wonderfully honest and trustworthy HVAC guy, but am still working on finding a plumber.

Devin the HVAC Technician was on time, professional and quick to resolve the problem while taking a few extra minutes to check everything else out including freon levels and even cleaned the machine up a bit. The price was very reasonable and my air was back on same day to resolve. Great experience!

I needed an outdoor spigot replaced. When I spoke to them on the phone they gave me an appointment time window two day later. First, They showed up late, outside of my appointment window. They replaced the spigot with a really cheap looking one. Inside, the water line was originally attached to the concrete wall with metal straps, keeping it very snug. When they replaced the spigot they made the pipe from the spigot come further into the house and did not re-attach the pipe to the wall. Outside, they drilled holes to secure the spigot to the brick but apparently didn't drill the correct size holes because the screws can actually slide out without being turned. Top that with the water line no longer being attached to the concrete wall inside and you've got a seriously loose water Spigot on your outer wall. They also left some kind of soldering residue on my aggregate patio where they performed the work, as well as leaving a two inch long leftover piece of pipe inside on the floor. So, for almost $300, I get a cheap spigot that's not actually secured to the brick wall, inside or out, and have the pleasure of cleaning up after them. I'd leave ZERO stars for the review but I don't think Yelp actually allows that. My advice - AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

Well, where do I start Mr. Hiller. First, about 2 months ago lightning struck my house and I called Hiller had a great tech come out,he figured it out in 10 minutes and I was only charged a service fee.
Fast forward to last weekend when my water pressure disappeared. Who do I call but Hiller since I had a great experience with the electrician.
The plumber Jeff came on Monday and he is nice enough. I work from home on Monday so, I let him do his thing. He's done with his assessment and he comes back to tell me all that needs to be done. I ask for an estimate and he figures in his head 2,000 to 2,500. I say ok and continue to work. Well, he is talking to his project manager on the phone in my kitchen and I hear him say, make sure you offer her this. I knew then that they work on commission. Jeff calls me to the front of the house and explains its now $2,800.00. He puts the project manager on the phone and I said if I spend $2,800.00 on this how am I guaranteed this is the problem. Project Manager states, you have my most senior tech at your house. Project manager tells me per my tech your plumbing needs to be replaced, hot water heater taken out and drained, dry wall cut, etc.  They wanted to schedule the work to be done on Wednesday. I tell them Im getting a second estimate.

Today I call 615 Plumbing. Tech Drake comes to my house and figures the problem out in no time. My water pressure valve is old and needs replaced, the galvanized pipe does need replaced and the water at my meter wasn't turned all the way on. Total cost $350.00 to $400.00 estimate. I said Drake since you have been so, honest with me I want you to do another job for me, replace my garbage disposal.
By the way Drake said house piping is perfect and plumbed to spec. and the only pipe needed replacing cost $99. My house was built in 2005.
I believe in capitalism Mr. Hiller and you can charge and do what you want with your business but the great thing about capitalism is I get to chose who I want to perform the job. You lost business and I was lied to and was getting ready to spend thousands on a job repair that didn't need to be done.
615 Plumbing got my business and had extra services done and it cost me $672.30.
Just think Mr. Hiller you might get even more business if your techs didn't work to upsell.

If you want to be left in the heat, your service to be dragged on for weeks, and the added benefit of ridiculous pricing, Hiller is your place.

I started my Hiller journey on Friday, April 29th. I was told that my HVAC issue was actually an electrical issue, so I called a Hiller electrician. He told me that it was an HVAC technician issue, so after paying $70 to the same company who would ultimately end up attempting to fixing the issue, I had an HVAC technician come out the same day. This technician told me that it was an electrical issue. So begins the runaround.

The HVAC Technician tried anyway to fix a few things while Facetiming his supervisor, but unfortunately no results. I was told that I would be contacted first thing Monday to fix the issue, but never heard a word.

I called back on Tuesday, May 3rd, to see what was happening. They told me they tried reaching out on Monday via phone and email. This is a lie. I was never contacted and had to call them back to finish the job they began.

I was then told that they couldn't fit me into their schedule until Friday, May 6th, one full week after my initial appointment. Please keep in mind the second floor of my house still has no AC.

On Friday, May 6th, a Technician and supervisor came out to my house and worked on the HVAC system until 5pm. I was then told that they fixed the original issue, but now have a different issue that would need to be fixed. Still no AC.

They couldn't fix the issue that night, but I was told that I could pay an extra $300 to have it fixed on Saturday. I'm not made of money, so I said I would wait until Monday. They agreed.

Monday, May 9th, I received a call stating that they couldn't fix my HVAC until Thursday May 12th, due to waiting for the part to ship. Which is odd, because I could have paid $300 extra to have it fixed the previous Saturday. Was the additional $300 to pay for express shipping, or for the labor of a company who advertises 24/7/365 service? I'm not sure, would love to get to the bottom of that one.

Thursday, May 12th, I'm scheduled for a technician to come between 1-3pm. at 2:30 I was told that it would now be closer to 4-5pm. At 6pm I call to see why no one is here, and why I have not been updated. I was then told that 7pm is when I could expect someone. Call back at 7pm, now 9pm is the earliest. Never mind, now it seems like they won't be able to fit me in until Friday May 13th.

They can't even give me an appointment time on Friday, they say that I have a work in appointment, which means that if a technician has time between scheduled visits they will swing by my place. How is this possible when my scheduled appointment the day before was missed due to no fault of my own? The questions are starting to pile up, and all I'm left with are vague answers and the comfort of an 80 degree house.

It is now Friday and I speak with customer service. All they can tell me is that it looks like they will be coming today. They offered no other solutions except I hope someone will be there soon. No one ever came. At 5pm I called back to cancel my service.

Overall I am disappointed in the lack of professionalism, accountability, and customer service of Hiller. I would ask for help from literally any Joe Schmoe with a wrench before dealing with anyone from this company again.

I was told they couldn't fix my busted flange on the toilet as I had raw sewage in my crawlspace and that I at the very least needed to redo all the drainage plumbing, yet they recommended water as well at the tune of 10,500 for both on a 1525 sq ft house. I started questioning their findings on the drainage pipes when at the crawlspace door there was no sewage smell. In fact, there  were tadpoles in the water.  I already have what I need to solve the water issue which is only six inches deep in one corner. This means they lied to me. I am not happy. I cancelled the repipe next morning which was scheduled for end of this week. Their phrase is happy you'll be or the service is free. Guess that means the two valve replacements on the two toilets in my house should be free. Run, run, run from this company.

After leaving a review last week regarding my new hvac install and the damage to my attic staircase, I received a call from Hiller within 5 minutes.  I spoke with a customer service manager, Paula, who assured me that my issues would be taken care of and apologizing for any inconvenience.   After speaking with her, I spoke with the installation manager who assured me that all my concerns would be taken care of.  A contractor was eventually scheduled for the following Tuesday to replace my attic stairs and all complete any finishing work such as trim, painting, etc.
On Tuesday, the contractor, supposed to arrive at 8:30 am did not until 9:00am.  Although he did comment on the fact that none of the damage/issues were caused by Hiller, he told me that he had been authorized to replace the attic door/stairs.  I instructed him not to open either of the bedroom doors off the hallway and he began the work.  During the course of the morning, I  went to see how things were progressing and I found that he had ignored my requests regarding the doors and both had been opened.  After closing the doors, I told him again that he was to not open the doors or enter the rooms.  He ignored my requests and he went into my bedroom twice more. When I told him that was unacceptable, he became angry and defensive and told me that my attitude was rude.  We had a few more words and I told him to finish and leave.  He did so - but not before he yelled nasty comments at me about my behavior and attitude, slammed my front door several times, threatened to leave the old stairs/door on my front porch (dropping them at the dumpster was not his job), and saying he had Jimmy Hiller's phone number.  Eventually, after yelling at me - in my own home- he screeched out of the parking lot in his truck.  I waited to call Hiller until the next morning (Wednesday) in order to give myself time to calm down.  When i did call, the customer service manager seemed shocked and told me that she would look into the issue and call me the following day (Thursday).   It is Monday and I have yet to hear anything - not an apology or explanation - not a peep.
I would urge any potential customer to think twice about hiring Hiller.  Behind the catchy slogan and Happy face is a company that only cares about one thing - the bottom line.

Integrity is not what you are getting. I'm a 30+ year construction professional that contacted them for service. Since my wife was the only one home they looked to take advantage. They tried to sell her on replacement of all the major equipment (Condensing unit, Fan Unit...)instead of replacing the $120 part. They are criminals and should be ashamed. I decided to write this review to protect people who are not as informed. They communicate so people who don't know think there's no hope for repair. They tried it on me and I pointed out their BS.
I suspect they tell their service techs they will make a percentage on any sales so why would they replace or repair a thing.
My advice is stay away from any business that is unscrupulous and lacks integrity. Hiller is one of those.

I came home to find my water heater had started leaking hot water all over my basement. Coming home after work hours several other companies quoted me more than $125 per hour to come look and figure it out. I called Hiller and they told me it would be $60 to come look and if any work gets done they waive that fee. Well, we had to replace an 80 gallon hot water heater, it wasn't cheap, it never is.  However, 5 hours after I got home I had a new hot water heater. Greg, our emergency tech was great, he was awesome to have in our home and loved our pups. Great overall experience.

The water company notified us of a small leak and we could not find it. We have been using Hiller Plumbing for 10 years or so and we called.
A plumber came out and found several toilets leaking slightly via the flapper but one had bad internal workings. We authorized the repair and the plumber promptly cracked the toilet tank.
Of course they were going to replace it and would return in a day or two with the replacement tank.
It has now been three weeks without my sons toilet repaired and they keep telling us the tanks keep coming in broken. Nothing but a load of lies and still no repaired toilet.

We have two slow, minor leaks in our crawlspace and I called Hiller Plumbing because I'd heard good things. Someone came out and gave me an estimate for $600.00. $200 for each leak, and $200 charge since it was in a crawlspace. The materials price was under $5.00. Still had to pay $70 for the 10 minute analysis that he made under the house.

We will be going somewhere else.

Get you to sign a service contract and then you call to schedule you next appointment and they tell
You they can't come for 2 months because you are not an emergency. I suppose if it breaks down they will tell me I need to have it serviced more frequently. I should have read reviews instead of watching the TV commercial. They have as many bad reviews as good. 50% is an F.

Chris Green (project manager) and Brady Howard (technician) were fantastic. Both were incredibly generous with their time, answering all the questions I had. Chris was very knowledgeable with electrical code and was able to answer questions half the local LLC guys in Nashville were unable to. He was the main reason I decided to have Hiller do the job.

Technician Brady was also extremely knowledgeable and quick to answer questions. He got the job done professionally and efficiently.

4 stars because the pricing is really high (if you have anything other than a super specific need that only a big company like Hiller can tackle, I'd recommend going somewhere else). However with the knowledge and help I received from Chris and Brady, that price was worth it.

LOOK NO FURTHER FOR AN EXCEPTIONAL PLUMBING EXPERIENCE!!!
We are so happy we found Happy Hiller Plumbing!  We bought a house sight unseen and were horrified when we moved in. No one wanted to tackle the
hard job of trying to save our home....except Hiller!  The wonderful  handpicked young men came like soldiers and courageously went under the house and fixed all the horrible problems. Zack, Paul, Izban, Kurt, Anthony were like plumbing angels to us! And so polite and clean! They put on booties to walk into the house and they picked up after themselves outside.  They put in a completely new plumbing system and HVAC system and installed a water barrier sheet underneath along with a dehumidifier. Now this is a lovely lovely home thanks to Hiller. We also joined the Happy Hiller Club and they will now check on us 4 times a year to make sure our systems are running fine.
We will always be grateful to Hiller Plumbing for the 5 star help they gave us!

They sell you their maintenance plan but then never do regular service stops. Then when something breaks the first thing the service guy says to you is you need to get this thing serviced every year. What!? I told the service guy that we are too busy to remember when things have been serviced. He said we are too. Then why am I paying the maintenance plan? Even a doctor/dentist sets up your annual check-up and you don't have to pay them a yearly fee. VERY SCAMMY!!!

Last year our tankless water heater was supposed to be flushed annually for lime deposits. Instead of using a pump to circulate the cleaning solution only in the water heater itself with a bucket And using a recirculating pump as instructed in the owners manual. The guy flushed the whole plumbing in the entire house.  I was tasting cleaning solution in my drinking water for entire day. This year I asked for a specific person to make sure they had the circulating pump in order to only clean in the hot water heater itself. When the guy came, I asked him if I could explain what the guy did wrong last year and if he was knowledgeable about the Ren'ai water heater. He got mad and said that I was questioning his abilities and left. I am over it with Hiller Plumbing. Also, if you want to ask for a specific person that you have trust in, you may or may not get that person.  I don't feel like they are trained very well.
