Dumford Irrigation

I called Dumford Irrigation and made an appointment to open my irrigation system. I asked several questions and was quoted $95 give or take for how many zones and what brand I had. I was notified by text soon after they would arrive between 1145-145. On the morning of service, they arrived at about 0945. An hour or so later I remember pointing out the water was still running and saying they are taking a long time but I figured they were just making sure the heads were adjusted, etc. There were two males and they were here until about 1200 noon. Before they left, they had reported what they completed to my husband providing an update. Besides the irrigation setup fee for the quoted $95, they replaced a broken valve for 62.50 with 2 PVC pipe charges for 73.50 and there were 4 hours of labor at $85 an hour equaling $340 in labor and a bill of $571. I was quoted give or take $95.00 which is what my prior company charged me before they moved. The broken valve and piping I can see, but I should have been advised of their foreknown labor charges stacked on top of other charges. There were two opportunities for full disclosure, and that was on the phone when I was asking about pricing AND when my husband came outside to greet them when they arrived. Since yesterday, I filled out the satisfaction survey that was sent to me after they had left and since then the owner has been being aggressive with passive threats via texts and calls. I do not recommend this company. There are far more professional companies that will be upfront and honest before starting a new client.

I'm really glad to came across Dumford Irrigation searching Yelp, as a tool, to find a reliable business for my needs. Yes, they are reliable and they offer good value for the services completed on my property. They were backed up due to rainy weather days, but showed on time as promised what is rare today consider struggle small businesses have with the fact of labor shortages. I highly recommend Dumford irrigation. One project was completed by the Owners (Father & Son) and all what I like to say they are hard workers, fast and very professional.

They did a great job. The crew was super friendly and professional. They cleaned up after they were done and left the lawn in great shape.

Dumford originally came to my property to checkout the RainBird system that was here. New property for me...from there they also helped me with a pond issue I had. It has been a great partnership and they have been honest, reasonable, and also taken ownership in the project. Pond is 180 degree different from last year.

We got an appointment set for April 27th and I got a text saying someone will text me 30 mins ahead of driving to my residence. No one called/texted, so I followed up. No response. I got another text the following day saying my case was closed. Maybe they do a good job if they show up but 1 star on really poor communications.

Excellent service. Worked hard to install our irrigation system. Demonstrated our system and showed how to use it. System works perfectly just as we expected. Definitely recommend
