Simply the best service I have had living in Franklin.  The tech was amazing.  The customer service was amazing.  The price was not the least expensive, but the job was done right and the same day I needed it done.

Could not say enough great things about them.

I recently had to call a plumber and after using Yelp selected Benjamin Franklin Plumbing.

My wife and I the service very acceptable and the work was done in a very craftsman like manner and Ben was especially courteous and helpful in understanding was was going on.

We feel comfortable recommending this company and hope others find their work acceptable.

I am so disappointed with this company seeing all the positive posts. I requested a quote and wanted a leak fixed. The charged was $250+ to replace a couple of springs and a washer in my faucet which I could have purchased a full new faucet at a pro plumbing store for less than half the price. The guy that came took less than 5 minutes to fix and handed me the bill. I asked about a possible leak and got excuses why he couldn't check it will never do this again, put on invoice it was a rebuild? The most unprofessional and expensive service I have ever had. Was never offered the society rate, just poor service! Don't use unless you are ready to pay a huge bill.

Great service and crew. We got multiple quotes for our repipe job and Benjamin Franklin gave us their best price up front and stood by it. Also, they warranty their work. The crew was professional and cleaned up after themselves. Clear communication through the entire job.

We recently had to replace our main water line and called Benjamin Franklin. It was fairly expensive but you get what you pay for, right...well, not this time. The two workers did not smooth out my dug up yard, leaving huge clumps which they covered with far too much straw, and I found out that they did not even bring rakes with them. A section of my driveway was also broken by the worker. I even got a call from my neighbor telling me that she had seen one of the workers using the bathroom by the side of my house. I had to call and talk to the manager and he had someone come back out and smooth the yard (they didn't put enough seed out though). The manager said something about taking some money off the bill for the broken driveway (it didn't happen) and even defended his workers peeing on the side of my house. We are looking for a different plumbing company now!

I have been thoroughly impressed with the service, knowledge and professionalism of the technicians. I would highly recommend them and will continue to use them for all of my plumbing needs.

I wanted to post my experience with Plumbing costs after having one toilet replaced in my home.  We had Benjamin Franklin come out and do the work.  We have used them before and that experience was fair.  This time, however, the cost seemed VERY high ($465.00 to Only replace one toilet that I already had purchased and had at the house...just under an hour, a very simple plumbing job).  After the work was done I called two other Plumbing companies recommended by neighbors to find out if my gut feeling was correct.  And Yes,  I found out, that I did pay WAY to much.  It was totally  MY fault...I did not take the time to compare costs...but I wanted to pass on this information so that others do not make the same mistake I did.  The two other price quotes I received were $175 and $200 to do the same work...apples to apples...  I should have known better.  I am far too old to make this kind of dumb mistake.   I wanted to say also the work install that was done was totally fine.  And I do now have a taller toilet.

Very good customer service and Work.  They were clean, professional and did a very nice job installing a sink in my garage.  Response time was excellent and getting the work done was quick.  I would give five stars if the price wasn't so high but if you're looking for the job done right and want a professional job without any fuss definitely give them a call.

If you like to be sucker by this comp lol $509.00 for 25 mins work , never again, if we all say NO to these frivolous charges and Overpriced service and they'll stop trying to charge people

I had a water pressure regulator that needed to be replaced on a Sunday morning. I gave them a call and their plumber Gary arrived about an hour later.  It took him just a few minutes to confirm my diagnoses & then gave me two different possible price quotes based on a best & worse case scenario. Gary was very friendly, helpful, and informative throughout the process & able to complete the work within the cheaper of the two quotes.i will definitely be using them again!

Overpriced!

The plumber came when scheduled and he was pleasant to deal with.  He replaced our washing machine drain and trap and added a Studor vent because it was not vented properly.  We have a full basement so access was not a problem.  It took 4.3 hours including some time to wait for delivery of supplies by an associate.  The total charge was $1096.  The service charge was $49 and I estimate materials (Studor vent, pipe, and fittings) cost to be $70 retail.  That comes to $227 per hour for labor!  The operations manager reduced the price by $300 (i.e., the original charge was $1396, which would come to $297 per hour for labor) after we complained about the high price, so I guess it could have been worse.  I feel confident they fixed the problem, but I will look for a more affordable plumber next time.

John fixed everything and was friendly & professional.  I had low pressure in my faucets.  John was able to replace my aerators for all my faucets. Thank you!!  The works was great and cost is reasonable.

Our tub was clogged. Benjamin Franklin (BF) sent a plumber who failed to unclog the drain and took hundreds of hard-earned US Dollars. He suggested our pipes had collapsed beneath the slab as the cause for his failure. Curious to discover if BF had a technician or a brand problem, a supervisor was dispatched to scope the pipe. He failed to bring the scope, stated that he couldn't, but would fix the collapsed pipe and break up the slab for a few thousand more and a few days mess. A second opinion was had from a competitor who brought their scope & discovered steel wool stuffed into the pipe. Not using steel wool previously, we don't know how it got there. The line was rootered out for a similar fee that should have been done right the first time. I don't think I would recommend or use them again.

Wanted to take a second to thank this company for a job well done! I live in a house with 3 women and earlier this week our shower decided it just was not going to drain anymore... As I'm sure you can imagine this is an emergency in our eyes. After calling multiple companies Benjamin Franklin said they were able to put us on a standby or job to job appointment I was hesitant only because I was imagining a 2AM call but Shawn assured me that I could always cancel with no penalty if it got to late. Within 30 minutes I got a call from the dispatcher letting me know a technician was on his way.. we were ecstatic. Our Technician Jeffrey G. was amazing!!!!! I'm sure the last thing he wanted to do at the end of his day was come to Nashville to get hair out of a drain but you would never know he was very friendly and professional! The entire call took less than an hour and now our drains are working better than they have the entire time I've lived there. Thank you Jeffrey G!!!

Ours was a huge plumbing replacement job so I've intentionally waited a couple months to post a review. In short, we needed to remove and replace most of the old and deteriorating plumbing in our crawl space (think 'G.I. Joe' crawl space ~3'). This is our forever home so wanted the work done right by a legit, professional company. I secured three quotes - all from sizable, established companies in metro Nashville. Quotes were all within 5% but Ben Franklin was actually the lowest - and with a 20 year warranty vs 10 year for the other two. This was a multiple day project and they kept me informed of progress throughout. All employees, from the sales rep to their skinny plumber who was critical for a crazy, small space, were impressively professional. Work was done as agreed and completed on time. No ups on fees (and no cigarette butts around my property...never have understood tradesmen who flick butts around like they're invisible).  Objectively, I couldn't have been happier - and I rarely give 5 stars for anything.

They showed up in the window of time they'd given me for service. He wore a mask and shoe coverings as well. We talked through the issue I'd been having and what I thought it might be. He checked a few things and provided several options of service to rectify the situation.

Unfortunately the problem was bigger once he got in to repair but he was able to offer additional estimates on the work and discuss a service plan to receive a discount on work currently being done.

Overall very pleased with the service (my bank account not so much) but you cannot mess around when there might be a water leak.

Great service and great company experience.

Their plumbing services are very overpriced at 3 times the industry average. Their service was average at best. I'll go elsewhere for future plumbing jobs.

Haven't actually had any work done by these guys, but they did respond ultra quickly when I did have an issue and helped me get it resolved with the correct company.

Great customer service and even better communication from the beginning. Ben was the on-site technician who was very knowledge and laid out a plan with options on how to fix the initial issue. Highly recommended - 5 stars!

We agreed  on a qoute for the plumbing work I requested, when they
came to do the work they were asking for more money above
agreed price, I refused and used another plumber instead for less money. I will never use them for plumbing work again. This was a bait and switch.

We recently purchased a home in Franklin and had several plumbing companies out to give bids. Ben Franklin dispatched Daniel out to our home to give us an estimate on replacing the main sewer line and putting in a tankless water heater. BFP beat the other bids by far.

We were living out of state during the project, and not being there, I felt anxious about not being able to oversee the project, but Daniel kept me so informed by phone calls, texts, and even sending pictures along the way. I believed when I hired BFP that we would be in good hands, and Daniel and the crew delivered. I had a few other projects going on at the house while BFP were working. Another company hit the water line, and Daniel and his crew were able to repair the pipe right away. I needed to be able to have hot water and have the sewer line ready to go by the time we moved in, and all of the work was done in time.

I can not recommend Ben Franklin Plumbing high enough. They want above and beyond my expectations. From Daniel, to Brad, Jan and Tammy in the office, Essex and Jack doing work out at our house, they all are top notch.

I've been searching for a new plumbing company and haven't had much luck until Bemjamin Franklin. Kelsey was awesome on the phone and got me right in. Daniel was top notch w/his knowledge and service. I will be a long standing customer now that I've found a great, professional company!

Tyler was phenominal.  He was knowledable, thorough and friendly.  He explained all of the procedures he was going to perform and made suggestion.  He is an asset to your organization.

Update: Brad from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing reached out to me and was understanding of my bad experience.  He ended up refunding me $460.  Although I still feel like the installer overcharged my wife for the work that was done, I am appreciative that they were willing to listen and make an effort to rectify my experience.

I use to work for this office. Currently own my company in a neighboring county. After 13 years of being out on my own. I can tell you. If your looking for the lowest price to fix. Look in mirror and go on YouTube. If you have never ran a business. Then you can't comment on pricing. I am $100 per hour on my quotes. I fight to get that rate. Now comes Friday. The guys all get paid like a good plumber should. 25-30 per hour. Workman's comp is $15 per hour per tech. Correct liability insurance is $4500 per 6 months. My 2 reliable vehicle to get to your site is $750 per month each . My backhoe is $645. Vehicle and equipment insurance is around $1650 a year. Gas is about $95 a day. Basic phone for you to call and internet to search for your strange part you ordered from god knows where is $325 a month. Booties, personal safety equipment (for hugging your toilet and swimming in your sewer) and in home safety material, usually runs about $425 a month. I don't have an office building or call center due to lack of profit . You do the math and tell me how these guys are rip offs. If your worried about money. Go rent an apartment. I still consider the guys I know here friends. And if you call me from franklin I will tell you to call them. How much would you charge to swim in poo, Have the body of an 80 year old man at 40,And completely repulse your wife from the stench of  your truck? Vacation time, 401k , health insurance , and any other benefits your job offers. Why are we not equal? You think since your clean when you get home you deserve all this and we don't? Piss off , billy bob down the street will be your plumber , once! I can say all this now. I don't work for Wayne or brad anymore and can't be shushed. You want the most for your knowledge and we plumbers do also. Our governor is a plumber. Why would you think plumbers are cheap

We had Ben Franklin come out to install a garbage disposal. We had the disposal, just needed it installed and a pipe moved. No quote on the phone even though their garage disposal install price is $349.00. We did need to pay extra for moving of the pipe which I understand. Total price was almost $ 550.00 , crazy high!

Oh and the tech offered a service plan this time, even though we have had them out 3 times this year.

From the start felt like a professional, established company. Quickly responsive. Came the same day I called. Had a toilet that was not flushing properly in the house we just bought - found an offer on Angie's list for a full house plumbing inspection. Daniel was very friendly and helpful, explained everything as he went. We decided to update the flushing mechanisms on both toilets. Price was reasonable, the job was very well done and he did a few other helpful touch ups while he was here, which was great. Would recommend the company and Daniel.

Very happy with Benjamin Franklin plumbing service. This is the 2nd time we have used and both experiences were great.

I was given very expensive quotes for fixing or replacing my toilet, which the plumber told me was going to take approximately 45 minutes. I felt like the plumber was a salesman trying to convince me to have him do the work for the prices he gave me. I called another plumbing company who was able to fix the toilet in 20 minutes for less than half of the price Benjamin Frankin quoted me. I won't be calling them again.

The plumber was nice enough and the person I spoke to when arranging the appointment was friendly on the phone, so I am rating two starts instead of one. Otherwise, getting this quote was a total waste of time.

My tankless water heater had a vent issue, which caused the appliance to kick off until fixed (flow sensor safety feature).  These guys came, took one look and said it was unrepairable - that it was unsafe and they wouldn't touch it again until replaced if it was their family.  Their quote to replace this otherwise fine tankless was $6K.  Remember - the tankless worked perfectly, did its job since there was a vent issue and shut off.  There was no damage to it.
I said thanks but no thanks and called another company (Mid-10).  They fixed me up, repaired the vent with a $10 part and got us back running same day.  Just for reference, they said if they had to replace the unit with the same thing Ben Franklin quoted, it would be $4K total, not $6K.  
So my total cost: $80 Ben Franklin service call which was worthless + $140 for the other company call and 1 hour of work + a $10 part.  So I saved $5,850 and will never even think about using Benjamin Franklin again.  Talking with a neighbor this week, he said they did the exact same thing to him over a minor issue with his tankless.  He also got another company to fix it and it has now been running fine for 6 more years.  Lesson Learned.  Call anyone else besides Ben Franklin.  Mid-10 was the one who fixed me up.

Gouge prices and trying to sell you more stuff. I couldn't wait for them to leave plus they broke one of my sinks. Do not hire them!

I would advise against using this company until you check with other plumbers. Their prices are outrageous.

Tyler was AWESOME!!  My touch faucet was defective and he spoke with the vendor and managed to get them the send me a new one and agreed to come back and install the new one at no additional cost

I recently had a minor plumbing issue (leaking 'nipple' shut off valve under a sink...$20 tops for the part)  which I could have fixed myself. However, I did not have the proper wrench to remove the 'nipple'. With that in mind, I figured I'd call a plumber. My usual plumber was unavailable due to the fact it was Labor Day.
  I decided to call Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. The guy that answered the phone was polite, and told me it would be $99 for a service call (have to pay this either way - fix or no fix). He also stated the job would be officially priced once the plumber arrived.
  I diagnosed the problem for him over the phone PROPERLY, but was not given a price for the job.I figured since it was a minor repair it couldn't be more than $50-$100 more than service fee.
   Being a Holiday, I was happy to pay that for the luxury of not having to go to Home Depot, buying parts, and fixing the minor leak myself. However, once the plumber arrived and I had everything all set up for him (not to mention I allowed him to use MY wrench!) he went to his truck and came back with a quote of $428 and a fairly standoffish attitude! The total job required all of 35 minutes of his time. Be leary of this company's prices as they are extremely expensive. Yes it was nice they came to my house call, but the price was a total rip off for what the job required.

Seriously, I can't be superlative enough about our experience with these guys. From start to finish, we received excellent service. We had to have our whole house replumbed which is definitely no small lift. Fortunately, the folks from Ben Franklin were extremely helpful in this process. From start to finish, we were well taken care of. They kept us informed at the end of each day and spent time with us working out the lowest impact ways to replumb our home.

Scott T. handled our estimate and helped with the insurance, while Zachary B. was our project manager and I can't speak highly enough of either of them. Having someone to help guide through the process of a homeowners insurance claim and be available by cell phone is a god send during a process like this. I would absolutely be happy with having these guys in my house again or recommending them to a friend.

Two years ago we got some old pipes replaced under the house. Ben Franklin did a great job. A few months ago we had a problem with the flushing mechanism of the commode. I called Ben Franklin. Their truck came quickly. The problem was simply a rubber gasket that had to be replaced. This was a new type and I was not sure how to do it. They charged me 168 dollars for this!  Partly my fault for not trying to do this myself. But I will never use them again!!!

HIGHEST PRICED PLUMBER IN TOWN... so know that going in.

First off, it was VERY frustrating that they wouldn't quote me prices or even a range over the phone when I knew EXACTLY what is wrong.
They have a price list - the tech showed it to me!!!
So they should be able to provide estimates or a range when I give such clear information about the issue (I know my way around a tool box, I just don't have the time to do it and don't love the mess plumbing creates).

The tech was on time and very polite - all three stars are for him. No fault on his end. He even tried to work with the price, but it was still 3 times more than I was expecting.

Today I called Ben Franklin Plumbing to schedule some one of their professional to come by and take a look at a possible leak.  I first talked to Tammy and she was excellent on getting my information and update this information. Then she said that they could send out one their professionals later today, which I thought was Great. I figured I would have to wait a day or so. she said they could be there around 2 to 4 this afternoon. I said, ok.  45 minutes goes by and Tammy called back and said they had a professional in the area and was getting done early, could he come on over, I said that would be great.  Caleb was the professional that came by(he and another person came here sometime back and installed a Water Heater). So,it was great that to meet him again along with his partner Brett. Well, they looked for the problem and found that I had a leak in the waterline and mentioned that they would have to repair it, because it was probably galvanized piping and they would replace it with a much better line that last a longer time. He said that I would have to talk to a plumbing advisor (Jeff Jones) to see what all would have to be done. Jeff came by and was very professional and knowledgeable, as Caleb and Brett were. I have to say every time a plumbing problems come up, I can rely on ALL the Professionals at Ben Franklin Plumbing. This company is one of the BEST if NOT the BEST in Plumbing.  Thank you Ben Franklin Plumbing.

Update. The operations manager called me and voided the service charge. Did not request it nor did I complain. Although I am sure they are competent plumbers they seem to be a little rich for me. Cudos to them for customer awareness.

The plumbers were very clean and professional. They covered their shoes with booties before entering the house, and they covered the workspace with plastic. I was very pleased with their work. The only reason for a four star is the price. While I didn't shop around for a cheaper price, I felt like the repairs were high and that I was trapped into taking the maintenance plan in order to save money. All in all, I would use them again.

Monty Moreland has 30 years experience, is the ultimate professional, honest and knows his stuff.  My water heater is good as new.  This is a great company with great people including the people who book the appointment from the office -knowledgeable and organized.  Thank you!

This company should not have a request a quote option with a 1 hr turnaround listed when all they respond with is a generic note asking you to call their office. When I did call, a very unhelpful lady told me there would be a $59 service charge just to come out and could not tell me any information whatsoever about typical costs for very common repairs (fixing a washer on a leaky faucet). This is information is not a quote and is something that could just be listed on their website to save people the time of sending a Yelp message and then needing to call. I will be giving my business to another more transparent company that is not afraid to tell me how much common services typically cost. NOTE: This is a review of the customer service and not of actual plumbing service since I did not hire them.

I have had several repairs from Ben Franklin and they have done quality work. Once fixed a shower faucet we thought was a goner. We have vintage Moen vanity faucets they could not get the cartridges out of to rebuild so we passed on fixing them. They replaced a kitchen faucet for us at our old home and when it developed a manufacturer warranty covered tubing leak more than a year later they replaced it without a labor charge. We are Ben Franklin Society members. As others have stated, the pricing is expensive, but highly qualified, drug tested, background checked employees are all they hire. I found them comparable in price to Lee Company which has similar hiring practices, but prefer not to use Gov. Bill Lee's company. Can't speak to why other plumbers may be cheaper, but Ben Franklin never leaves me waiting long for a service call and I trust my house isn't going to have residual damage caused by shoddy work.

Would highly recommend Benjamin Franklin Plumbing! They were quick, efficient, and professional. They didn't try to sell us other products or tell us we needed to spend more than we actually did, which I appreciated too.

Way over priced for the services received. I have used other plumbers in the area before for comparison. Based off a home inspection I had to call a licensed plumber. Ben Franklin came out and determined all that was needed was to tighten my toilet seat lid and a sink faucet. This cost $188. For reference, I used a different plumbing company a month before to replace a water pressure valve and a garbage disposal (2hrs worth of work) for less than $250. However, I will say that I would give the company 5 stars for customer service and timeliness. I was able to get someone out the same day. They were nothing but great the entire time. Upon learning that I was unhappy with the cost of the services, they did call and refund a portion of the amount.

Buyer beware.  This place is a complete ripoff.  They wanted almost 700$ for a 20 minute job and a part I found online for 60$.  Then when I canceled my order they tried to bill me for 225$ in labor, that really was just to diagnose the problem and formulate an outrageous quote.  The techs work on commission so there's no incentive for them to cut you a break on costs, in fact it's just the opposite.  You have been warned.

We had a leaky shower and the cartridge needed to be replaced. I was going to do it myself but unfortunately the pressure balance cartridge was impossible to find. The part had been discontinued so even the manufacturer couldn't help me. I spent two weeks contacting plumbing supply stores and was about ready to give up and have the whole valve replaced --which requires cutting through the adjacent wall and very costly. On a recommendation, I called BFP as a last ditch effort. The plumber, aptly named Ben came out and looked at the part. He took a picture of the cartridge and sent it to their office. A few minutes later, Voila! They had the part and minutes later, it was dropped off at our house. I was very confident that Ben really knew what he was doing, so instead of doing the job myself, I had him do it. And I'm glad I did! He did an excellent job installing the cartridge and new trim I had previously purchased. The price for the work was reasonable as well.

I own multiple rental properties in the Franklin area, and I will now make BFP my go-to plumber in the event a repair is needed.

WAY overpriced...and I mean like double.  The work was completed...I had to go get a part myself, and it took more time than expected.  However, they did complete the job.  They are just grotesquely overpriced.  Be patient, use someone else.

This was one of the worst plumbing experiences ever!!! I live in Nashville and I called Benjamin Franklin to find out why my toilet was taking 30 minutes to fill & my sink had no water flow. This guy shows up and takes a look at the toilet & sink in less than 10 mins., comes out and take longer writing up the plan than it did to look at the problem. Tells me my toilet and sink are old and needs to be replace for over $1100 or repaired for over $600 or even better I can join their membership program and they will wave the $59 service fee and repair everything for $425 and they will charge me $8 per month and come out and check my plumbing a few times a year. In all this he never diagnosed the actual problem, but was able to come up with a price! I called Hers & His Plumbing they came out diagnosed the problem, not only fixed my bathroom but a leak under my kitchen sink too. 40 minutes and less than $300 later I was back in business! Ben Franklin Plumbing should be wearing a mask & carrying a gun....cause I got robbed of $59 and 30 minutes I can never get back! As a hair stylist I will be letting all my clients, friends & family know don't waste your time calling Good ol' Ben Franklin.

I'm amending my previous review somewhat. Benjamin Franklin did return my $59 service fee, I guess that's something. However I still stand firm on the rest of my review. How do you give someone the cost of a repair if you haven't diagnosed the problem. I'm not saying you're a scammer, I'm just saying you're displaying scamish behavior.

Friendly office staff scheduled me a same-day service, received call-ahead that tech was on his way, he fixed the plumbing issue right away. Professional, friendly and not over priced.

Want to say that Benjamin Franklin Plumbing is a Great Company to help in your needs..Ryan came out Sat. Morning on time and fix our problem...He explain everything there was & gave us 3 options to choose on the job...We are very please with his work and his Company..

My toilet and bathtub were both not draining. I called Ben Franklin, and the receptionist was very polite and told me they charge a $69 fee, and then explain any other service and get your consent if they can perform a service.

The plumbing company was able to fit me in within 24 hours, the plumber Ryan Marx showed up on time and was very knowledgeable and helpful. I felt that Ryan was very genuine and didn't want to rip me off. I really appreciate his kindness and professionalism, and he got me unclogged right away. Turns out I had dropped a brush in the toilet!

I recently had an incredible experience with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. Imagine my dismay when I discovered ankle-deep water in our basement caused by a busted water heater. I first called some hot water specialists who claimed right away on the phone that they couldn't help me. Okayyyy. Well guess who could!? Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. The office staff was incredibly helpful, the technicians were fast and clean. They showed within an hour of me calling, figured out the best way to address the problem and offered me a range of well thought-out solutions. Though it wasn't the most fun check to write, I felt like we got a fair price, and the work was impeccable.

Way over priced.  I needed a shower faucet repaired.  I was quoted over $700 to replace faucet, if they couldn't find a replacement.

After I received the quote, I got on the internet and found the repair part for $75 from HD online.  The $700 fix would have still left me with a hole in my sheetrock.  Avoid unless you are in an emergency situation.

Oh yeah, I still had to pay $60 to have them come give me the ridiculous quote.

We are selling our house and the buyers inspection turned up a higher than normal pressure on our water line.  I called BF Plumbing and they sent John R out to the house to install a pressure regulator.  I work from home and our dog, although friendly to people he knows, usually barks non-stop and most people don't approach him.  I noticed that our dog wasn't barking and went outside to see what was going on.  I saw our tech petting him on the head over the gate.  I was extremely impressed with the install and professionalism that John brought to the table but even more impressed that he took the time to let our dog know that he wasn't a threat.  I would highly recommend this company.  Maybe you will get luck and have John as well.
