I moved to Scottsdale in September from California. I was recently retired, on a meager budget -- but with a dream.  Bob and DJ were recommended by by realtor to help me update my home that I purchased to be near my grandchildren.  I had interviewed several handymen and contractors..... but when I met DJ and Bob, their honesty, integrity, and determination to make my vision a reality for me in the most cost effective way was more than I had hoped for.  
They actually delivered my dream, with all of the above and more.  I could not give anyone more thanks.
I wish that everyone could be as lucky as I to have met them and had them take care of my home as if it were their own.  
They were in touch daily with when they could and would be there and delivered .  They were A+ professional.
Bob, DJ really, really wanted to make my dream and budget work.
The result was was beyond my wildest dreams and I am eternally grateful.
On top of that, I did not know at the beginning , that they were Veterans, hired Veterans and were committed to making the lives of all of us and our Veterans better.
I recommend with all my heart.

Danny has done several jobs at my house. He's redone my closet, redone my kitchen, redid my front and back yard which meant knocking out walls and restructuring everything, and  installed crown moulding throughout my house. He's does quality work and is very professional.

Called Doug again and referred to a friend who also loves him.

Don't look any farther in your search for a general contractor! Can't say enough about the professionalism of Golden Bear Contracting. He does all the work himself, no subcontractors. We remodeled our home in Gilbert that our son and daughter-in-law live in: full bathroom remodels in the master and guest bath, and installation of a new tile floor in the laundry room. Mike was there promptly every morning, worked hard and finished the job in the timeframe promised. He cleaned up as he went and we couldn't be happier with the result!

One of the best things about this company is that he came out and gave us ways to save money as he was measuring for the estimate. (We had one company that didn't even want to come out and instead requested that we send pics and do all the measuring ourselves...and they came in much higher in their estimate!). Mike put together an estimate that was very reasonable, including averages for ALL materials. It was perfect because we then had the option to purchase all our materials, with no pressure and managed to come in under budget. Some items we chose were higher in price than his included materials budget, and many were lower. This made the whole process much easier and we got exactly what we wanted.

Since we are out of town, Mike kept us informed every step of the way, with new revisions to the invoice as we chose materials.

He is very honest, dependable, and we will definitely hire him again should we decide to do further work on the house. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Would give zero stars if possible because ZERO is exactly what we got from this company.  Spoke with Steve & per his request I sent him pictures and written details of about the job scope so he could prepare a relatively solid quote and let me know if the job was too big, too small, or something his company would take on.  Said he would get back to me with estimate.  Well, that never happened.  My husband gave him the benefit of the doubt because it was close to the holidays.  Nope, a month goes by and the holidays are over and still nothing.  No reply to my telephone voicemails, no reply to my text messages, no follow up contact whatsoever.  As I said to him in my text message of January 12, 2023, 'obviously our money is not green enough' for him.  And even with that, he did not have the decency to respond.  He obviously does not know the definition of "Dynamic," but their business name is royal BS.
