Needed a quote for a laundry room remodel, not sure if this was too small of a project for them, but after 3 messages left and no return call assume so. As a veteran this does not bode well for me or this company! On to a company that will acknowledge my attempt for them to make money!

Doug and Steve were very responsive and very open to such a small job that others had turned down because it wasn't worth 'their' time. Customer service done how it should be done, much appreciated guys!

Q is literally the best handy man ever. Ever since the first day I hired him, he has tackled all of the crazy random jobs I've thrown at him quickly and professionally. I don't even feel right calling him a handy man as he is way more than that! On top all of that, he's super sweet. I will miss him and all of his amazing work when he leaves California. Damn you Arizona for stealing Q from us!!

I needed a new contractor to do some renovations on our new home so we turned to Yelp and and found shepherd contracting. We used Thomas and his team when my new home needed some updating. The communication was above and beyond. We love our new bathrooms and will post updated photos soon!

Do NOT use this company! Not only did they NO SHOW, for the 10am apt at our home today they DIDN'T CALL to even reschedule or postpone! By noon, my husband had waited 2-hours so he called, left a message and it's now 6pm. NO return call, NO excuse or apology. NOTHING! Thank you Erika, for wasting our time and the time of another company we could've booked in its place.

When Frank stepped foot in my house I had 3 functional bathrooms; when Frank left, I had two. I had 4 livable bedrooms, and because of Frank Magallon, I now have 3. I hired Giovanni Custom Flooring in June of 2016 to remodel my guest bathroom, tile my office, and remodel my Son's bathroom. I have lost a total of $13,950 and Frank Magallon has destroyed my house.
During Frank's time on the job, he would often text me asking for additional money. The written contract we agreed upon only requested 50% upfront, and 50% upon completion. When I mentioned this to him, Frank stated the things he had left to do were minimal and could be completed quickly. Because Frank was a friend of a friend, I thought I could trust him.
Prior to Frank walking off the job, we discussed him remodeling my master bathroom and bedroom. In October of 2016, Frank asked if he could get started on that project as well. Even though I was reluctant because the first 3 tasks had not been completed, I agreed because I was eager to get everything done and paid Frank $7250 (50% deposit) up front. In November of 2016 Frank asked for an additional $3000. I became increasingly concerned and asked Frank for an itemized receipt as to what my money had been spent on thus far, and an explanation for the additional $3k as his initial contract only required 50% up front, and 50% upon completion. Frank told me, me asking for an itemized invoice was making it too hard for him to do his job and he would not commence work until he had the 3k in hand. After 5 different escalated conversations and multiple text messages, Frank finally produced an itemized invoice. Not only was Frank re-charging me for things he asked me to go out and purchase prior (i.e. paint), but each task on the invoice was highly inflated. When questioned, Frank refused to explain.
MOST IMPORTANTLY: During this process, Frank advised it was ok for me to move back into my bedroom after he claimed to complete THE WORST version of a stained concrete floor. While sleeping in my room I would wake up nauseous, short of breath, and have TERRIBLE migraines. After Frank walked off the job, I had my house inspected and it was discovered that the open sewer and plumbing pipes Frank left open and exposed, were leaking METHANE GAS throughout my bedroom and bathroom. I was told I could have suffocated in my sleep from methane gas exposure.
I could write a book on this TERRIBLE experience Giovanni Custom Flooring and Renovation put me through. Aside from being a crook and almost killing me, below are a few of the other things I experienced.
1. My office that Frank was paid to tile, still has carpet in it.
2. October 7th, 2016- Frank tries to cut corners any where he can. Instead of using a dumpster for trash, Frank left old, rolled up carpet and a bathtub propped up against my backyard fence. My dog used this as a step, jumped over of my backyard fence and was found dead the next morning across the street from my house.
3. Frank contracted an electrician to add remote control, color changing lights in my master bathroom. I paid an additional $700 for this work to
be completed and have NEVER seen a remote control or even a light bulb! I have called this same electrician back and he is now trying to charge me $580 to finish what I ALREADY paid $700 for!
4. The white subway tiled bathroom Frank has displayed above is my bathroom. The picture fails to display the exposed electrical outlets, unset toilet, open vent with no vent cover, and sloppy paint job. The shower glass expense was conveniently left off of the original invoice and Frank tried to collect an additional $600 for the glass after all was said and done. This bathroom has a terrible smell coming from shower. This smell that not there before Giovanni Custom Flooring demo'd the bathroom. When I mentioned the smell to Frank, he refused to take accountability and claimed he couldn't smell a thing however, everyone else that enters my bathroom can. The estimates I've received from new plumbers to get rid of this smell range from $4k-5k.
5. In July of 2016 I told Frank I was also going to need to fix the warped, sun damaged siding on the front of my house. Frank contracted a guy to stucco my house ($2150). During this process, they detached electrical outlet covers, storm gutters, my doorbell and outdoor window shutters and NEVER put them back. My doorbell was later found in the grass in my front yard.
6. My hall bathroom mirror, tools, and cabinets that were removed from the bathrooms Frank demo'd disappeared. I wasn't even given the option to keep them. Not sure if they were thrown away or if he decided to keep them for himself.
I am a single woman who works in the mortgage industry and know nothing about construction. Frank took advantage of that. I would not recommend this man or his company to my worst enemy. I am currently working with the Registrar of Contractors to recover what I lost.

Had him replace insert in screen wall from old too busy plastic divider to new plexiglass divider. He did a great job very particular. He cleaned up afterwards & most important is he showed up on time. Very professional.

Ellen was excellent and exceeded our expectations. Not only was she the only company that gave us a quote. She also was the only one that was willing to work within our timeline. We had three other companies come out and none had a "yes" mentality like Ellen. I would definitely recommend her company and we will use her again in the future.

We recently moved into our new Toll Brothers home and had a challenging time looking for a good contractor that will design my entertainment wall at a reasonable and fair price. With the recent challenges we all face with contractors taking advantage of price "spikes", and long wait time for a project to begin, Canterra Construction beat the competitor's reliability and price! Initially, I contracted for an entertainment wall design with them. Cathy took it to a personal level in designing my wall and brought samples of stones and tiles. She factored in my interior designs, colors, and furniture to select the best. And wow, my husband and I are so amazed with the professionalism, reliability, designs, and the material used for our wall that it became one of the "wow" factors of my home! Because of this company's professionalism and awesome work, I continued to contract them for my back and front yard. Again, Cathy understood our goal. She uniquely put together another great design at an affordable price. Next contract is for accent walls and designs for all my rooms. I am excited for this project. Cathy, and her crew respect my property, are very friendly, professional and accommodating. I like how Canterra Construction acknowledges my husband and I for being a Veteran. Above all, Cathy is very responsive which is the pinnacle of a successful business. Look no further, they do it all at an affordable budget. Now, I can say that my Toll Brothers home added more beauty and value to it, thanks to the hard work of Canterra Construction crews! Thank you so much, for turning my newly designed home into a dream come true!!

We had Vlad check out a wall in our home as a pre-purchase due diligence. He showed up to the appointment on time and was able to provide an estimate by the end of the next business day. His estimate report was less than ideal as he was unable to provide a breakdown of his pricing. His estimate was much more than expected because he wanted to cut into other walls. We did ask him to look at a ceiling, so I understand why he was providing information on that. After a slow process in trying to have him break down the pricing, he was able to give use an estimate on just the wall we needed repaired. We paid a $125 estimate fee in which we were advised that this could be applied to the wall repair when we were ready for it. Come a couple of weeks later and we are ready to fix the wall following purchase, Vlad has been non-responsive and not returned any of our efforts via phone call or text message. This lapse in communication is a serious red flag and I will not let someone that cannot even follow up with communication work on my house. He was fairly responsive during our initial inquire, however now that we want the work done, we feel totally ghosted. Perhaps the job is too small for him to even bother? That's fine...just SAY SO. I even gave him a chance by reaching out via yelp before I wrote this review. He responded, but it was a very non commital response. If you can reply via yelp, why cant you call us back??
I am not one to write a poor review...so this is more so a cautionary tale for others. We are first time home buyers and wish that we had done a little more research about general contractors before moving forward with this company.

Jon and his team are wonderful to work with. I needed my kitchen and bathroom remodeled and was lost on choosing a design. It was for a rental property and I had a budget but also didn't want to cut corners on the design. Very efficient, and met the budget and time line. I look forward to using him on future projects.

My wife and I recently moved into a new home that was looking pretty rough on the outside. We set up a walkthrough with Global Elite Builders to look into painting the interior and exterior. They gave us a fantastic quote, we were ready to book, and then they took it upon themselves to find dangerous problems with our home's electrical wiring. We booked immediately.
Our paint job had difficult time frames and they had to work around a plumber, and they did so with zero issue. They fixed all the dangerous problems with our home and did a fantastic, quick paint job for a great price.
Now, whenever we want to make significant changes to the home we will call Global Elite.

Terrific experience! We hired this company to build a wall around pool equipment and to install metal poles to string lighting on. We also hired them to fix our Ken's sprinkler system. Excellent communication and the end product was great. The price was reasonable and in accordance with the finished product. The company also tiled the newly built wall and redid some existing tile in the pool area to match our new wall. We are very pleased with the end result and would hire this company again.

Continuing from 12/07/17...The first time my husband and I met with Darren he was very helpful in educating us about the difference between rectified and unrectified wood plank tile. Derren made it known he preferred to work with unrectified tile, but would still take on a job and complete quality work using rectified tile. Derren did say he would charge 50 cents more per square foot if we chose rectified tile. Derren provided us with vendors he uses for the tile and even suggested a tile he had previously installed. After a couple of weeks of tile hunting we chose a Marazzi porcelain RECTIFIED tile. I called Derren and told him we were okay with paying the extra cost for the rectified tile. Derren assured us the Marazzi tile was a good quality tile and we would be happy with the results.
Well, the tile comes in, Derren goes to pick up the tile, but returns to our home saying the tile is defective. Derren believes the tile is "bowed" and encourages us to choose new tile. Derren again suggests the tile he previously installed for another customer. We told Derren we would go look for new tile if the tile we selected was defective. I ask Derren about the return and refund on the tile and if we will have any issues. Derren advised he would speak with the vendor and call me. I never heard from Derren, although I left him at least one message. I would have thought this was a priority being the flooring in our home had already been removed and the amount of money we paid for the tile. No call.
My husband and I go see the vendor and explain to a very helpful gal we needed to find out about returning the defective tile. The vendor tells us there will be a restocking fee of $700-750. I questioned the fee, as Derren said the tile was defective. The gal immediately said, "it's not defective." Long story short, the vendor had contacted the manufacturer's local representative who came out, looked at the tile and said the tile was better than specs. The gal also said they have sold over 80,000sqft of the tile we selected and they have not had any returned! I have a flashback to checking Derren's Registar of Contractor record (for Harper Stone and Tile) and realize this should have been my first light bulb moment and clue NOT to hire Derren! His license had previously been expired or suspended for various reasons. Anyway, my husband calls Derren from the vendor. No answer. Message left for Derren to call.
On our way home Derren calls. He seems bewildered as to why the tile couldn't be returned without a restocking fee and offers to pay $400. Obviousy, he never attempted to call the vendor about the return or he would have already been aware of the fee or maybe he just thought we were stupid, would pay the fee and find another tile. With that being said, we offered Derren an out and told him we would understand if he didn't want to do the job. No hard feelings. Well, Derren's response was that he needed the job. Or, was it he needed to pick up his saw that was still at our home? ( Light bulb moment number two)!!
The next day, Derren shows up late and meets with my husband. My husband gives Derren a second opportunity to opt out of the job with no hard feelings and addresses our expectations of a quality installation, rectified tile or otherwise. Derren advised he was still willing to complete the job. (Mind you, Derren's tile saw had been set up in our garage for the past couple of days while the job was on hold). Derren continues his work, throws float on the floor in our bedroom and does not smooth out the edges so there is an obvious lip when it drys. Derren mentioned his grinder was broke. Derren sits in the bedroom and purposely works vigorously on chipping the tile and then shows my husband how it chips. Derren quietly walks outside, packs his saw and equipment. My husband confronts Derren asking him if he was leaving. Derren says yes. I don't believe Derren had any intentions of completing the job. I'm pretty sure he just wanted to get his saw back!! Derren is told we wanted a refund for work not performed, a reasonable request. An agreement was made on the amount to be returned. We received partial payment that night, but as previously stated in original review, we waited for the balance to be paid after Christmas because Derren said he did not have the money. (But yet, it was okay for us to have our home in shambles at Christmas time! I wouldn't call us difficult people, would you? Derren believes we are)!
So, this was the gist of it! There were a couple of other shenanigans, but I was out of typing space, so had to shorten up the horrible experience!
In the end, no thanks to Derren (Harper Stone and Tile), but we did end up with beautiful floors and a quality installation! Should anyone need an honest and reputable contractor who completes quality work, please feel free to message me! Oh, and we saved money too!!

Gilbert, from Royal Construction Services, was great to work with. He helped me replace 3 wood porch and carport posts at my older home. Unlike the old posts, the new posts have been installed on post bases, which should help keep them dry and secure for years to come. Gilbert was fast, flexible and affordable.

Very professional to say the least. family owned business thats professional and personable is hard to find. They came out and gave a free estimate in a timely manner. They were actually ahead of schedule to finish the projects. The workers were friendly and professional. The owner Youssef even reached out to me to make sure everything is to my demands. Thank you again.
