Best Stone Tile Installation in Phoenix AZ

i hired irving for some built in shelves and a bench in my front living room. he came to my house to quote the project & all was fine (besides the scoff he gave me after he asked what material i wanted him to use, which i replied "idk, wood?" and he scoffed and said well there are different types-- i'm not in this line of work so how would i know?)

we moved forward w a start date & he drew up some sketches for me. he drew up 2 options, we both agreed one looked better than the other so we moved forward.

start date got pushed back 2 days bc of truck trouble. understandable. contract said start time was 8-9am, he text me to change it to 9-10 & i told him that's fine. they didn't show up until 1045. he had been to my house to do the quote, so he knew how far of a drive it would be.

cant remember if it was the second or third day, but i noticed it wasn't looking like the sketch we agreed on (a 6th shelf or the bottom being filled in & wainscoting across the bottom- we agreed on wainscoting option). so i nicely asked him about it and he said "you wanted a shelf" i told him no, we agreed on the wainscoting. and i showed him proof of our conversations & he said ok, & went & got more material to finish.

job took 3 days which was fine. everything looked good from what i could tell.

i had my painters come 3 days later to paint. my painter had to sand an area down on the bench bc the bench was hitting the side of the shelf when opened.

you'll see in the photos that from afar it looks amazing, but up close, the "finishing touches" were anything but that. u can still see the screws, the edges of the entire structure are uneven. and it seems that plywood was used for the underneath parts of the shelves & are now bowing. i sent irving a video 2 weeks later asking if i should be concerned about that and he said "The Wood is probably bowed or got bowed after paint. your fine. It's natural wood gets bowed as it gets exposed to chemicals like paint or even the weather"

not sure why one would use a material he knows could do this once painted?

like i said, the shelves look great from a distance. but up close, there are so many flaws & it makes me sick to think how much money i spent for a "finished" job like this.

Alex and his team did an impeccable job on our full marble bathroom remodel & wood floors!
I am a very picky person with attention to small details. When I was looking for a bathroom/flooring contractor I vetted rigorously. It's not easy to just allow anyone into your home. I'm sure many others feel the same way, so as you can imagine I only wanted the most skilled & the most trustworthy people to work on my house. Thankfully, I found Alex by doing a Yelp search in my area. I vetted several contractors before finding Alex. All the others just didn't hit the mark for meFrom the very start Alex was very easy to talk to, competent, very well experienced in his line of work & very professional. We did a full bathroom remodel - all gorgeous marble symmetrical from floor to ceiling. We wanted no grout lines & only symmetrical cuts. Alex had 2 guys do the entire bathroom remodel which took several days. I have to say they were truly the most respectful guys. Every morning they would kindly greet us, let us know what they're getting done that day. They were quick to yield & allow me my space anytime I wanted to inspect their work. They laid out plastic throughout our home to walk on. They were clean, tidy & organized. Very respectful of our property. They were not only respectful people, but also very polite which is refreshing to see in the construction industry. More importantly, we were blown away by their precise skill when it came to the perfect marble cuts & leveling of the tile. If I could use one word to describe their work; it's precision. They didn't miss a single detail. Not a single corner, not a single piece. Marble is not an easy stone to work with. Marble is precious & delicate. It requires true craftsmanship done with taste. Alex and his guys were a true testament to that authentic craftsmanship that so many other contractors simply don't understand or care for. If you are considering a bathroom remodel & are like me- someone who wants the best & values trust- you must go to Alex because he & his team will execute that job gracefully.

We also hired them to install all new floors & baseboards. Most people would never know they're laminate because they look & feel like high-end solid floating hardwood. Every piece was perfectly placed & snapped on. They also added a soft material underneath so that the floors are easier on your feet and joints.
All the work they did was done skillfully & timely.

If you've come this far in your vetting process & research looking for a qualified contractor to hire then you need to call Alex. Talk to him about what you have in mind, the ideas you have & show him photos of what you're thinking. He is very competent, has good taste, has an eye for aesthetics, is very easy to talk to, & will also bounce ideas if you need some pointers. He's also very up to date with trends and styles if you're wanting to be pointed in that direction. Any taste or idea, they will be able to help.

We will definitely be using Alex & his team again & will be recommending them to friends, family & neighbors.

Don't look any farther in your search for a general contractor! Can't say enough about the professionalism of Golden Bear Contracting. He does all the work himself, no subcontractors. We remodeled our home in Gilbert that our son and daughter-in-law live in: full bathroom remodels in the master and guest bath, and installation of a new tile floor in the laundry room. Mike was there promptly every morning, worked hard and finished the job in the timeframe promised. He cleaned up as he went and we couldn't be happier with the result!

One of the best things about this company is that he came out and gave us ways to save money as he was measuring for the estimate. (We had one company that didn't even want to come out and instead requested that we send pics and do all the measuring ourselves...and they came in much higher in their estimate!). Mike put together an estimate that was very reasonable, including averages for ALL materials. It was perfect because we then had the option to purchase all our materials, with no pressure and managed to come in under budget. Some items we chose were higher in price than his included materials budget, and many were lower. This made the whole process much easier and we got exactly what we wanted.

Since we are out of town, Mike kept us informed every step of the way, with new revisions to the invoice as we chose materials.

He is very honest, dependable, and we will definitely hire him again should we decide to do further work on the house. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Stan did a great job with putting up our Courtyard lights. Had a great sense of what we wanted he was knowledgeable and professional. I'll hire for anything I need done home improvement wise.

The quote the owner gave us was competitive and i had decided to hire him.  But before hiring him i sent an email asking for their license number and two references I received no reply whatsoever. Weird !!!

Danny recently completed  two projects for me. One was a laminate flooring and subway tile backsplash installation. The other job was replacing two toilets.  Both jobs were completed above expectations. People have even commented  how great the flooring and backsplash  look. Both were completed on time and within the budget. The jobs were left clean every day that his crew was working on them. He finished the plumbing job in a couple hours. Having worked  with construction trades people in the past, Danny is a true professional. He knows how to price a job and get it done within the time frame he quotes.  I will call him first for all my renovation needs. He will probably be busy, but I will wait for the quality work.

If you're looking for a general contractor, highly recommend Kyle King. We had a wall removed, cabinets and countertops pulled, and some electrical rewiring. He was very flexible with us as changes were made while he progressed with the job. Job was completed faster than expected and was extremely clean throughout the process.  Received several quotes, he was the most competitively priced, great comms, and he's local to Queen Creek. Redo of the master bath: Leonel, the owner, came and explained all the options clearly. His price was $4,000 less than any other so I was suspicious. I shouldn't have been.XLT gave me exactly what I wanted. He was always available for a call at anytime before and during the work.Everyhting he said would be done was done as promised. His crew was just super nice and listened to me when I wanted small changes. They also did a few extra things. They were very neat and fast! I would always use XLT for any inside work that I had!! I'm very happy that I used them.

We are so glad we found Tinta's. We went in looking for a granite top for an island furniture piece for our kitchen. We were shown the granite area and Fernando was introduced to us to help us. He was very patient and helpful and answered all of our questions. It was huge for us to not only get his thoughts and input but that we never felt rushed. When I wasn't sure what color sink I wanted, he brought both out to show us the color's next to our chosen granite. When he came out to the house to measure, we ended up adding more areas for him to measure and he was very kind and courteous about it since it wasn't in his initial appointment. The install with David and Jesus was perfect and professional and again they gave us some helpful suggestions. We will continue to use Tinta's for our next projects. Wow! I don't know where to begin, because our experience was exceptional.

My husband and I have been wanting to do a renovation on our kitchen for some time now. Casually, I submitted a project via Yelp to multiple contractors to shop around. After a swift response from Rosa, we set up an in-home consultation. Rosa and Erica brought samples based upon our initial conversation and were spot on with the look I was wanting. Their energy and general vibe sold us. Professional, friendly and genuine. Some days later, we signed a contract and the project began shortly thereafter.

Being in the midst of a global pandemic, I was worried with how many people would be in and out of our home. Everyone wore masks, respected social distancing, and staggered scheduling to keep down how many workers were in our home at any given time.

Ellen was excellent and exceeded our expectations. Not only was she the only company that gave us a quote. She also was the only one that was willing to work within our timeline. We had three other companies come out and none had a "yes" mentality like Ellen. I would definitely recommend her company and we will use her again in the future.

Mosqueda renovation is great,  there response time was fast and Oscar was quick with the consolation. We got our bathroom remodeled and him and his team did a great job and it only took 10 days  total! Definitely recommend
