Best Concrete And Masonry in Phoenix AZ

My girlfriend and I used VETSBuilt to renovate our house after refinancing our house. We were so excited for the house to have a makeover and truly be turned into a home for our family. My girlfriend is a retired combat medic for the army so we were even more excited to use a veteran run company. I would like to warn those of you looking to use this company against it. Our house is beautiful, don't get me wrong, but there were so many mistakes, short cuts, and then there is the fact that there is no warranty on the work.                              -Before beginning the renovation I has asked Bob if I should patch the holes in the house and remove all of the nails/tacks/staples/etc. He had told me not to worry and that the painters would take care of it. The painters failed to remove those items and I know have the pleasure of continuing to remove them and repaint where they were. The holes were patched in a rushed manner. When the sun hits the patches just right, you can see where the left over spackle was smeared over the walls and the hole. Then there is the clean up for the painters. They left paint over numerous light fixtures, baseboards, the new floor, and the ceiling.                     -We originally wanted to get cabinets from Home Depot and had picked out the design and received a quote. Bob told us that his cabinet guy was the best. This was not true. The cabinet guy, his name is Jaime, was far from the best. After having sat down with both Bob and Jaime to design the cabinets, as Bob told us the ones we wanted from Home Depot were no good, the cabinets were designed ENTIRELY wrong. The design was similar to the old cabinetry that we were tossing. We informed Bob, who had told us he remembered the design we chose and agreed the ones built were not what we were paying for. The cabinets were never replaced and we received $500 off for something we didn't want. There were further issues with the cabinets when Bob failed to communicate with his guy that we were no longer able to afford a new vanity for our master bathroom. We had told him we didn't want the vanity but Bob had arranged a deal with Jaime that we could keep this vanity for free...another way to make up for the entire kitchen being done wrong. The vanity was also designed wrong, the drawers require so much force to be opened that most of the time you end up whacking yourself in the leg or crotch. I told Bob this too, and despite him also having difficulties opening the drawers and him watching me attempt to open the drawer and having it hit me in the crotch, he said it would be okay over time. To this very day, I still hit myself. The hinges used by the cabinet guy were put on in a rushed manner, Bob claimed that clients make his guy nervous (we were never in the house when he was here) and one of the cabinet doors is beginning to fall off the hinge. Bob did make an attempt to have Jaime fix the spice rack and the missing stain on the island cabinetry. However, when Jaime arrived he had stated Bob never told him about needing to bring stain to finish the island, I texted Bob right there on the spot and he told me that Jaime doesn't understand English very well so he must not have known what he was talking about.                                 -The floor we had put in began to pop up after Bob's crew left. Bob had the floor installed by someone now well versed in the type of floor we were putting in, the subfloor was uneven and despite putting down the moisture barrier pad, it didn't help - there are spots that sag and where the boards pop. The company we wanted to use would have leveled the sub floor and saved us the hassle of continuously bouncing as we walk through the house. Bob did the measurements for the house to determine how much of the flooring we needed to purchase. He measured wrong every time. I believe we had to make 2 extra trips to the store to get more flooring...which wasn't in the budget. This just seems like a rookie mistake for a contractor. And it was costly.                                                        -We had the master bathroom renovated. The crew Bob used for this portion was very nice. Other than cleaning their equipment down the shower drain and toilet, their tile work looks and is amazing. No flaws! The shower that Bob had done for us is beautiful, but leaks. The joints where the glass meet have not been sealed properly and water spills out onto the floor in a large puddle.                                                                 Like I said, we had huge hopes for our experience and partnership with this company. And it fell short. All of the issues listed above were addressed with Bob directly. Unfortunately, while he talks to you about wanting things to be perfect, and how he understands wanting things done right because you're paying for it - its a lie. Trying to get a contractor out to do the less exciting work is difficult right now.  Multiple contractors told me remodels only and 1 even told me nothing under 20k!  Previously I had contracted with Lowes for my door and they backed out because it was too hard (I kid you not!).   I was straight with Vlad about my less than exciting needs and he was more than willing to do the work. His estimate was the same as Lowes and fairly priced.

Vlad told me his team would be there at a specific date/time.  They showed up EXACTLY as promised to the minute.  They worked efficiently without need of support from me and came prepared to do the job.  I got 1 call about something they saw while working the property; this was my issue, not theirs and I appreciated the fact they told me what they saw.   They didn't mind the fact I would sneak out to look at their work (I like to watch professionals do their job; its fascinating!).  They cleaned up nicely, walked me through what they did, and I paid with a check no hesitation.

So my photos are of the unpainted result; this was as I directed Vlad and his team.  One photos is of a piece of drywall that was sagging that he replaced.
But what I would want you to notice is that the texture in consistent and lines up with the original texturate on the gypsum.  This is what a professional should do; but not all professionals actually do this!  The second photo is of an access door to my air handler that he replaced.  Not exiting; but it had to be done!

Two ladies came out to look at the kitchen. I followed up with them with text several times but never got an estimate. Not sure why. If they don't want the business, at least have a courtesy to send a note, instead of completely ignoring to even reply. Will not recommend.

We just wrapped up project with Canterra Construction in our new build. They guided us throughout the process as we transformed our plain, asymmetrical, and inverted TV wall to the focal point of our home. Their entire team is great and we felt supported by all of them over the course of the month-long process. We can't wait to tackle other projects in our home with Canterra Construction!

We went with RH Design & Build for an interior remodel including a complete kitchen renovation.  Despite some challenges along the way, we could not be happier with the end result.  We recommend RH Design & Build for their professionalism and craftsmanship.

We are very pleased with the work Rodriguez Remodeling did today repairing drywall damage done by a plumbing repair. The two workers were masked, very polite, showed up on time and did a great job. Thank you...we will refer others to you when we can!

Gilbert did excellent work. He repaired both our porches and the workmanship was done with quality.
He quoted me a price and did not go over it. I would have him do more work for us.

Danny of Solid Home Renovations quite simply does WHAT he promises to do, WHEN he promises to do it, and is ready to correct anything that isn't exactly right (which doesn't happen often).

He responds to phone calls and texts quickly. His prices are fair and competitive.

We just had him complete our second (much smaller) project and we can't say enough great about him and his crew and the results he delivers.

We had a difficult problem, one we (and others) had not been able to solve.  Michael took everything apart and re-did it.
Looks great, works great and is guaranteed.

Hired Golden Bear to remodel master bath and second bathroom in March 2020.  I gave it 5 stars so you can read about my experience and who this guy really is.  You decide.

Mike and his partner did all the tile work, plumbing, electrical and some touchup painting themselves, no subcontractors - with the exception of the glass shower wall/doors, which everyone subcontracts. Overall, I'm pleased with the outcome.  They were very easy to work with, which is why I hired them.  On several occasions Michael saved me from my bad ideas.  

But there were issues around the finishing details. I had to go over the work and point out with stick notes many finishing details like at the base of the cabinets, grout cleanup in corners and rough finishing edges.  Overall in the end the master bath came out great.

But in the second bath the amount of grout clean up issues were extensive.  For some reason they decided to change the color of the grout without my consent and it looked terrible. I was told the color would change after it dries.  

Well the grout color did not change when it dried, the color they used what not what I selected.  Michael stop taking my calls after he admitted they used the wrong color and said they would come back and fix it.   I had to hire a tile company to change the color of the grout.

I do recommend that Michael hire someone to do the finishing work he does not like doing.  Would I hire him again or recommend him - NO.

The work & craftsmanship is outstanding Fabio has done my kitchen and will be doing my bathrooms later this year.

i made an apointment two days before the apointment,i waited for you did not arrive period !!!  you never called me period !!! i called you every 15 minutes till 2pm you never once answered your cell period !!  i called you again the next day 5 times you again never answered your cell period !!   absoutely you are dishonest and not to be trusted period !!  and absoutely no   i would never allow you to bid a job in our home periuod !,   nor do i trust  i simply now know after your lies you are dishonest and the lies are pathectic  do not bother me ever again.as i stated i am thrilled you did not show up,im certain you would of created problems for me,move on .

We had a roof leak into a very small space behind our water heater. There was small water damage and a bit of mold. Other companies quoted us $1700-2700 because they wanted to remove the water heater. Elias was able to do it for a third of the price without removing the water heater! He was a great contractor to work with- let me know when he was on the way and was very understanding of our wanting to keep costs down. He did a great repair job and we plan to ask him to help us with other projects in the house. Thanks Elias!

My wife and I recently moved into a new home that was looking pretty rough on the outside. We set up a walkthrough with Global Elite Builders to look into painting the interior and exterior. They gave us a fantastic quote,  we were ready to book, and then they took it upon themselves to find dangerous problems with our home's electrical wiring. We booked immediately.
Our paint job had difficult time frames and they had to work around a plumber, and they did so with zero issue. They fixed all the dangerous problems with our home and did a fantastic, quick paint job for a great price.
Now, whenever we want to make significant changes to the home we will call Global Elite.

Great experience with Dion and D and D. Very professional, neat, and quick...what more could you ask for! What I though would take a couple days they accomplished in hours!
We had them do demo work in our home, but will sure to be using them in the future for other projects.

So far I have loved working with Ericka and Rosie of Spicegirl Remodeling and Design. They finished my roof in a few days and the team that did it was informative and paid a lot of attention to detail. This was especially important to me as I am about to install a large solar array. I liked working with them so much that I contracted them to remodel my master bathroom.

They also installed door vents and new matching accedes to my attic on both sides of my house so that is could do other efficiency work. (Duct repair, sealing the roof, sealing can lighting, blowing in another 18 inches of insulation)

I will be updating my review with photos and a description when the bathroom is finished.

I'd recommend them to anyone.

Very happy with Rhino Construction and already thinking of more projects, now that I have found a reliable, professional, and courteous licensed contractor.
Was contacting Licensed Contractors for a couple of small projects that were beyond my abilities when I came across Rhino Construction, their response time was quick, the estimator's site review was scheduled, and the estimates came in close to what I was expecting.
The roofers arrived early on the agreed-upon day for the work to start, they were done fixing the broken tiles, replacing the cement caps, striping off the flat roof over the patio, replacing the dry rotted fascia boards, and gone by early afternoon.
While the roofing team was busy working away, the site supervisor showed the carpenter the work to be done inside.
By the end of the week, they were painting, cleaning up, and checking for any loose ends.
