Best Pool Deck Construction in Phoenix AZ

My girlfriend and I used VETSBuilt to renovate our house after refinancing our house. We were so excited for the house to have a makeover and truly be turned into a home for our family. My girlfriend is a retired combat medic for the army so we were even more excited to use a veteran run company. I would like to warn those of you looking to use this company against it. Our house is beautiful, don't get me wrong, but there were so many mistakes, short cuts, and then there is the fact that there is no warranty on the work.                              -Before beginning the renovation I has asked Bob if I should patch the holes in the house and remove all of the nails/tacks/staples/etc. He had told me not to worry and that the painters would take care of it. The painters failed to remove those items and I know have the pleasure of continuing to remove them and repaint where they were. The holes were patched in a rushed manner. When the sun hits the patches just right, you can see where the left over spackle was smeared over the walls and the hole. Then there is the clean up for the painters. They left paint over numerous light fixtures, baseboards, the new floor, and the ceiling.                     -We originally wanted to get cabinets from Home Depot and had picked out the design and received a quote. Bob told us that his cabinet guy was the best. This was not true. The cabinet guy, his name is Jaime, was far from the best. After having sat down with both Bob and Jaime to design the cabinets, as Bob told us the ones we wanted from Home Depot were no good, the cabinets were designed ENTIRELY wrong. The design was similar to the old cabinetry that we were tossing. We informed Bob, who had told us he remembered the design we chose and agreed the ones built were not what we were paying for. The cabinets were never replaced and we received $500 off for something we didn't want. There were further issues with the cabinets when Bob failed to communicate with his guy that we were no longer able to afford a new vanity for our master bathroom. We had told him we didn't want the vanity but Bob had arranged a deal with Jaime that we could keep this vanity for free...another way to make up for the entire kitchen being done wrong. The vanity was also designed wrong, the drawers require so much force to be opened that most of the time you end up whacking yourself in the leg or crotch. I told Bob this too, and despite him also having difficulties opening the drawers and him watching me attempt to open the drawer and having it hit me in the crotch, he said it would be okay over time. To this very day, I still hit myself. The hinges used by the cabinet guy were put on in a rushed manner, Bob claimed that clients make his guy nervous (we were never in the house when he was here) and one of the cabinet doors is beginning to fall off the hinge. Bob did make an attempt to have Jaime fix the spice rack and the missing stain on the island cabinetry. However, when Jaime arrived he had stated Bob never told him about needing to bring stain to finish the island, I texted Bob right there on the spot and he told me that Jaime doesn't understand English very well so he must not have known what he was talking about.                                 -The floor we had put in began to pop up after Bob's crew left. Bob had the floor installed by someone now well versed in the type of floor we were putting in, the subfloor was uneven and despite putting down the moisture barrier pad, it didn't help - there are spots that sag and where the boards pop. The company we wanted to use would have leveled the sub floor and saved us the hassle of continuously bouncing as we walk through the house. Bob did the measurements for the house to determine how much of the flooring we needed to purchase. He measured wrong every time. I believe we had to make 2 extra trips to the store to get more flooring...which wasn't in the budget. This just seems like a rookie mistake for a contractor. And it was costly.                                                        -We had the master bathroom renovated. The crew Bob used for this portion was very nice. Other than cleaning their equipment down the shower drain and toilet, their tile work looks and is amazing. No flaws! The shower that Bob had done for us is beautiful, but leaks. The joints where the glass meet have not been sealed properly and water spills out onto the floor in a large puddle.                                                                 Like I said, we had huge hopes for our experience and partnership with this company. And it fell short. All of the issues listed above were addressed with Bob directly. Unfortunately, while he talks to you about wanting things to be perfect, and how he understands wanting things done right because you're paying for it - its a lie. We hired Peak One for a major remodel for our kitchen, dining, and living room. The original estimated time for completion was about 3 months, but due to poor project management (in our opinion), the actual time was significantly longer than that. Initial demolition took one week which was fine. However, the next week, not a single worker showed up. Over the next several months, there were many weeks when workers showed up for only a few hours per week. The quality of some of the subcontractors was poor and frequently workers would show up having to ask us what they were supposed to be doing that day. The painters were sloppy and planned on leaving prior to final touch ups, although we got them to satisfactorily complete their work. The cutout in the granite for the cooktop was off center. The tile setters had to come back twice because the wall had not been prepared properly and the appliance installers had to return to put in the range hood as that space was also not prepared properly. We believe that the majority of problems was due to lack of foresight and inexperience on the part of Peak One's project manager. In addition, we expected the project manager to return onsite at the end of each day to oversee progress, but there were many times he didn't show up. Other problems included unfair charges that we thought we had an agreement with Mike that we were going to be reimbursed, but in the end he seemed to remember things differently, so that didn't happen. I would not hire Peak One again.

Blue Dot Pools has outstanding customer service! Needed a quote for a new motor,  they scheduled me right away and came out on-time, and were able to assess my needs. The office staff is incredible, she sent me a quote within 30 minutes of the call. Very professional, reputable company!

We recently moved into our new Toll Brothers home and had a challenging time looking for a good contractor that will design my entertainment wall at a reasonable and fair price.  With the recent challenges we all face with contractors taking advantage of price spikes, and long wait time for a project to begin, Canterra Construction beat the competitor's reliability and price!  Initially, I contracted for an entertainment wall design with them.  Cathy took it to a personal level in designing my wall and brought samples of stones and tiles.  She factored in my interior designs, colors, and furniture to select the best.  And wow, my husband and I are so amazed with the professionalism, reliability, designs, and the material used for our wall that it became one of the wow factors of my home!  Because of this company's professionalism and awesome work, I continued to contract them for my back and front yard.  Again, Cathy understood our goal.  She uniquely put together another great design at an affordable price.  Next contract is for accent walls and designs for all my rooms.  I am excited for this project. Cathy, and her crew  respect my property, are very friendly, professional and accommodating.  I like how Canterra Construction acknowledges my husband and I for being a Veteran.  Above all, Cathy is very responsive which is the pinnacle of a successful business.  Look no further, they do it all at an affordable budget.  Now, I can say that my Toll Brothers home added more beauty and value to it, thanks to the hard work of Canterra Construction crews!  Thank you so much,for turning my newly designed home into a dream come true!!

Keith and his crew were awesome from start to finish. I worked with Keith to complete a kitchen and master shower renovation. The tile work by Carlos is simply the BEST I've seen. The guy measures twice and cuts once and it all fits perfect. Paul the plumber knows his job inside and out!! The electricians used were great as well, despite the spray foam insulation they were able to put in new outlets and move others.

Keith is a hands on GC that goes above and beyond to make you happy as a customer. His easy professional style  is beyond his years in the industry.

Tatum and Ray were highly recommended. I got several bids and their's was comprehensive and fairly priced. This was a unique project where we retained the flooring, fixtures and some of the walls. But the plumbing, sinks, counters, tile, some cabinets, mirrors, shower wall and glass are all new. There were many challenges since this was not a rip and replace. During the five week project, Tatum kept everything moving, came up with creative solutions, and kept his commitment to deliver the bathroom we wanted. I highly recommend Ouellette General Contracting.

I spoke with 5 companies about my job and ultimately went with Lumby Concrete. This is a family owned company, Mike, his son Travis and 2 employees Carlos and Alex. I'll start off by saying if I could give them 6 or 7 stars I would. I'm no stranger to the building trades and am knowledgeable in those areas. So, to that extent I'll say if you want a top notch concrete job with reliable people Lumby Concrete is the company to go with. They were prompt, if they said they would be there by 8 am they were there. They were good about calling and keeping me informed during the entire job, also very courteous. Their workmanship and attention to detail was second to none. They listened to what I had envisioned and worked to make it happen just that way and were good at letting me know if something I was thinking about would not be a good idea and would lead to trouble down the road. I thank them for the good job and there is no doubt I would call them again. By the way they do pavers and other finishes to.

White Builder Inc just completed remodeling our kitchen. They removed the pony wall and installed new countertops all around with new kitchen sink and faucets and a new cooktop. Then they painted the cabinets. The planning took around a week then one week later they started work and finished everything by the end of that week.
They did an excellent job. Most importantly Ellen was there every day resolving all the little issues that inevitably come up and she explained to her workers what to do. She's remarkably calm and positive and it was quite relaxing to have her in charge of the project. The workers were all very professional, very helpful and they did an excellent job, each in their respective specialties.
In the end we received a beautiful kitchen at a reasonable price, quite quickly and without headaches. Everything was just right and we highly recommend them.

We hired DC Style Landscape to design and build an outdoor kitchen with shade, a firepit and give us some greenery to enjoy. The designer and construction team knocked it out of the park with creating an oasis we love! The tranquility it gives us is amazing! The amount of detail was incredible and despite all the rain delays, the guys completed it quickly so that we could enjoy our new beautiful backyard! We highly recommend them!!!

I referred some friends to Reliable who recently moved to Scottsdale.  Dustin was prompt in his response to their concerns and he was very thorough in his inspection of the pool equipment.  

It's always a nice thing to deal with the owner of a small business.  They seem to have a passion to help you out while the larger companies push profits over you.  This was especially true when Dustin figured out a warranty issue around the existing pool pump.

We began a big remodel on February 1st and It has been a great experience so far. The team Bob has brought together is nothing short of fantastic! He keeps us in the loop on an almost daily basis and, if you can believe it, we are AHEAD of schedule. We have even had 3 neighbors stop us to say how impressed they were with the crew - onsite each morning, not outside taking breaks, and cleaning up each night. I'll post a final review but if you are looking for a recommendation, look no further!

We just wrapped up project with Canterra Construction in our new build. They guided us throughout the process as we transformed our plain, asymmetrical, and inverted TV wall to the focal point of our home. I would love to see what email your supposedly sent since I was the one who provided my email address. Also, I can 100% guarantee I never received a single call, let alone multiple calls or a voicemail. Ellen called me a few times to arrange a visit and I HAD her all her contact numbers saved in my phone so I would have seen her on my caller ID. Finally, the fact that your accusing me of being the reason you didn't follow through with sending me a quote is embarrassing for you as the compliance team member and you should just take the loss and move on without trying to blame me for your business practice
failures. But, I get it, it makes you look like the good guy and shifts the blame... typical sub-standard contractor move from another shady Arizona contractor.

I paid David Roberts $9000 for a home project in Kingman that he has done little work on that was to be completed in June 2021. I understand that he has personal issues that have complicated his life, however, he is a businessman and needs to complete his contract with me. I will replace this adverse review with a positive recommendation upon completion of the project. David did call me today assuring me that he would get back on the job. Let's get it done, David. Until then I could not recommend doing business with you.
