ACE Home Services Septic Tank Pumping
I had a Carrier heat pump installed by ACE in 2016. Had annual service done with them, with the all expected extra sales pitches. I switched from AC to heat, only to find I had no heat and called for service. The tech arrived and changed a 30 cent 3 amp fuse and I was charged the $79.95 service fee...ok, have heat. Yay! Not so fast, 40 minutes later, fuse pops...hubby replaced the fuse and it popped. Called on a Saturday to set another service call. I spoke with a guy who identified himself as the service manager. He said the problem was the thermostat wire and he scheduled an appointment for between 7-11 am on Sunday and stated he would be sure the tech had thermostat wire on the truck. Sunday's appointment was a no call-no show. I called and was told that they had no techs available due to 3 call outs. We scheduled the appointment for Monday at 5pm. Tech arrived and did not test anything, but put in another 3 amp fuse, which promptly popped. He said he had no thermostat wire on his truck and proceeded to write a quote to replace 60 ft of the 75 ft of wire from the thermostat to the unit. That quote was $480! When hubby asked if he could guarantee it would be fixed with the wire, the tech said nope. Hubby asked the tech to leave. I called a local repair company, 911 AC Repair. The tech was out that afternoon, found a factory defect and is working on a warranty repair for the long term, patched the issue in the short term and I have heat for the first time all winter. Oh and 911 didn't charge me a penny for the service call or the temporary repair. Hubby replaced all 75 ft of thermostat wire for $40 and 20 mins time.

Empire Plumbing and Air Conditioning Septic Tank Pumping
I called Empire plumbing at 230 am on a Wednesday. I expected to here a groggy 70 year old man on the other end, but was surprised that the operator was very friendly and not the least bit annoyed by my call. He arrived 20 minutes later .  The fix didn't require any new parts and I was only charged the service fee of about $70. This was the best experience in the situation I could imagine. If you need emergency (or any) work on your AC, call these guys right away!
