Ace home services should be ashamed of their business etiquette along with their employees disgusting behavior. I had Ace come out on 4-24-2016 and they sent service tech Scott W. , employee #411 (should be employee #911, yikes!). He had the worst, most unprofessional manners I've ever witnessed when dealing with a professional, we'll known company, not to mention the receptionist called to cancel about 30 minutes before they're supposed to arrive at the latest. .. The entire time he lied to me.... whoops I mean the entire time he talked to me, he looked at my body, looking me up and down continously, mostly focusing his attention on my breast.. while occasionally making brief eye contact. I could MAYBE understand if I was wearing a low cut shirt, dressing provocatively - asking to be looked at, but I WASN'T dressed provocatively!!!!!!! I was in my own home, and left feeling extremely uncomfortable along with shocked at the experience I was just forced to endure.. I am glad my 2 young boys weren't in the room when he was here. So after a good 10-15 minutes of looking at the ground unit, he said he couldn't find offhand any freon leaks or anything but the freon was a lil low. So he went on the roof next, supposedly to check the other part of my unit, the air handler, to see if he could find any problems, but a few minutes later he came down and said he couldn't find any problems and it must just be due to the old age of the air handler and I need a new one installed, which is a couple thousand dollars I don't/didn't have, so I respectfully declined the work. After that he went outside again to do something and about 1minute later he suddenly came rushing back inside and said, follow me, I believe I just found your problem, it IS a freon leak. He then proceed to show me the leak that happens to be about 2 inches to the left of where he hooked up his gauges, directly in front of his face in the bottom corner of the coils, the 1st place any honest ac repairman would know to start searching as we all know that freon leaks are commonly known to start in the bottom corners, as they can can sit in water and cause corrosion and damage the coils over time. Perhaps he skipped that day in air conditioning school? He then started telling me the price for the freon, that was over $400 and so when I said I couldn't afford that being a single mom and recently losing my job, he then said he could try asking his boss if he could come down on the price a little. Oddly, even though he already had his phone in his hand, for SOME reason he had to go stand by his truck, out of hearing range, to call his boss. He miraclously got the price lowered to $215 and when he was finished filling the freon, he told me he even put in an extra pound of freon, just to top it off. But I thought it was bad to put too much freon in the unit?!?! The saddest part of ALL this crap is that now after having to call 3 different ac companies to try to find and fix the problem within the last month or two, I've spent my entire savings of a little over $710, still have a leak and am experiencing the same problem once again as the other 5 lbs of freon the last guy just put in is already gone less than 2 weeks after refilling . The leak is now 10x worse than before the man from ace came and touched my unit, I'm flat broke and now I'm without cold air for me and my 2 boys in the middle of summer, in Arizona!! I honestly feel like he purposely sabotaged my air conditioner making the leak and or making the leak worse than it originally was before he touched it. And then today I came online and found the yelp reviews on this shady business, and after reading alot of the same familiar complaints, I've realized that this company is known for sabotaging their suckers/customers air conditioning units, just so they could get their business /money, along with lying about parts that aren't really bad nor need replacing. I wish I would've done my homework before calling Ace and allowing them inside my home and to touch my air conditioner. The leak was not very noticeable prior to their visit, as I haven't had to get any freon for the last few years, so to wind up needing 5 lbs of freon every 2 weeks,10 lbs total of freon in the last 20 - 30 days alone is ridiculous! And impossible unless someone or something made the leak worse immediately following the visit from Ace. So if you want to get ripped off, suckered, overcharged, visually molested in your own home, then definitely call Ace... Cause ACE IS THE PLACE to get screwed over!!!!!!!
