Best Handyman Installation in Fresno CA

Our toilet flooded the bathroom floor on Sunday night. Turns out the porcelain was cracked. We shut off the water, and then reached out to a few plumbers. Edfixall responded within an hour, gave us a fair quote, and fixed the toilet on Monday morning. Through the whole process he was kind and courteous, and he worked with our tight budget by finding a toilet within our price range. The next time we need some plumbing done, we'll be going with Ed.

John was fast, efficient and professional. He placed a bidet for us. He also assembled my son's toddler bed and replaced a door knob.

I needed a handyman and couldn't find anyone. I ended up finding  Jason and he immediately responded. He came out immediately and gave me quotes on my jobs. His prices were fair and he showed up on time and did excellent work. Couldn't be happier with his services. He dug out and leveled a 13ft x 13ft area for me, laid pavers and built a greenhouse I had purchased. He also repaired / rebuilt  my gate. Removed several small trees. Several other odd jobs in the house such as fixing leaks etc. Jason is fair priced and trustworthy. If he cannot do a job he will tell you. He goes above and beyond to make sure things are done right. All in all I would give Jason a 10/10 and will be using him  in the future.

Mark is excellent at what he does. He is polite, professional and courteous. He really listens to your needs and comes up with suggestions. He shows up on time and responds quickly to calls or texts. He has a variety of skills when it comes to home repair and remodeling.  He built my fences and they are beautiful! The fences are twice as strong and solid as my old fence. I also had him build a hearth in front of my gas fireplace. I am very pleased with it. Do not hesitate to call Mark. You'll be happy you did!

SUMMARY: Quality work, but make your full complete plan and get it done in one project. Monitor the work, and do a complete walk thru before the end to ensure all is done. Thoroughly review the bid to ensure all details are captured. I don't understand why a linen cupboard and shower door installation would be excluded from a full bathroom remodel bid (tiny bathroom too). Longest review I've ever written to be fair and honest. I'm disappointed with details and follow up.

I originally gave a generous review of Mike & Mitch because I appreciated that I could be hands-off during my mother's remodel; I was in town to help & managing many other things for her care at the time. They did all they could without having to engage me and were respectful of all requests. Because of that I left out my complaints, such as skipping the linen cupboard entirely in what was supposed to be a complete BA remodel. My bad for not seeing the item missing from the quote. It just needed paint. I took a few hours prior to the remodel to clean everything out, but it wasn't touched. Other details were also missed - like properly securing the toilet roll holder and patching/painting where a curtain rod had previously hung. Not a huge deal overall, but as with any project, a clear walk through and detail management is needed.

**I've dropped this review due to a lack of follow up/going quiet for agreed work. Shower doors were not available in time for the project, so they agreed to return to install the door and also install much needed handrails for my mom to keep her stable & independent in her home. They agreed in person that they would do this work. On 10/20 I asked for help, completely detailed the need and parts ordered. On 10/23 I was told they'd make time for the project on 11/8. My bad for taking a week to get back as I was extra busy with new job & other mom needs & had to review original bid for new charges. I agreed add'l fees 11/1. On 11/7 it was confirmed they'd do the work 11/9. On 11/8 I was told they couldn't make it & asked to move it to the next week. I never heard from them again. Today is 12/11 and mom is in thee hospital after a bad fall and broken leg. Family will help me finish the work ourselves as best we can. I get their busy, and I contributed to 1wk delay from the 10/20 request, but if you commit to something you should follow through.

I found Gilgen through online research to help with my mom's bathroom remodel in Armona (I live in SoCal & don't know local options personally). Let me tell you, I was so very relieved to have Mike and Mitch on my team the week they did the work. They were very professional, delivered on what was needed, with complete view to my needs and wants. Their work is good, and they are very professional and respectful. Very clean, organized, just all around good. I never give 5 stars btw; I have to be impressed.

Not only did they do a quality job, but they just got the work done with little input or direction from me - something I needed and wanted - and they knew it.

This remodel was done out of necessity. My mom's 50yr old shower and bathroom was in disrepair. I was overwhelmed with all that's required to care for a parent from afar, and they managed all the details in respect of that - engaging me only when I needed to make a decision.

I saw another a-hole reviewer that gave them 1-star for not getting back soon enough. Dude! People are busy, give them time to respond! I NEVER had issues hearing back. Drop them an email and give them time to get back. They don't have an office receptionist, they're smart and manage it all themselves.

Amazing service! Called Mike from out of town for a property in Fresno. I was not expecting him to start the work the day that I called since I've called others and they were quoting me 2 weeks out. His rate is reasonable and cheaper than the others that I've called. I appreciate his communication from his estimated time of arrival to giving me option on the equipment that needed to be purchase. He worked on the fan in the restroom. After purchasing the equipment, he sent me picture of the receipt. He went on to finish the work and realized that the purchased equipment was not needed, saving me some money. Not many people will do this, since I wasn't physically present to see the work being done. He was so kind to return the equipment and only charged me for his service. I will be using his service again in the future. He's definitely the go-to handyman!

Contractor assessed my kitchen faucet for a replacement. Bought a new one at Home Depot; contacted Robert from Yelp. He responded in timely manner and very straightforward about his service price. Reasonable priced. Robert is efficient and detailed. He carries lots of services. He came late however, within the time frame. We should understand the work of a service man. They tried their best to keep up with the time. My new kitchen faucet was lovely. Love it! Now officially our handy man. Thank you, Robert. Keep up the good work.

Simply put: just not responsible or trustworthy.  He's trading on the fact that he's a Veteran - as am I - but he made two appointments with me and broke both - including one for which I told him I'd work from home for a whole day to accommodate his schedule.   It's important to me, as a Veteran, that those who trade on the fact they have served - do so responsibly and represent other Veterans well.  Not the case here... hoping he finds a way to become more professional, and only make commitments he can keep.

JR left a business card on my door. I really needed help with some gardening. I needed the lawn front and back mowed and some bushes and an olive tree taken out.i also wanted to see how much it would cost to put in sprinklers in just the front yard. He came over and gave me an estimate and started working. I signed a contract, and he did the work. I asked him for a copy of the contract and receipt of payment. He kept telling me he would bring it back and never did. He also told me he would be back the next day to finish up. There was some garden trash he was going to take away and to fix the sprinklers he put in. He has never cone back. I kept calling him and texting him. He finally called me back and said he had to have some surgery and would send me the copies of the contract and receipt of payment. It has been over 25 days, and I still have not received them.  It's very sad when someone in business takes advantage of the people he is doing work for. So now I am going to have to pay out more money to finish the job JR was contracted to do.

Gave benefit of doubt. And read a few reviews that stated he took for ever to call or contact people back. He never did. I completely understand Covid and labor shortages and the times. But it's been over a month since reaching out. No contact. If that's a business's way of doing business I want nothing to do with it. Too bad as I have a lot of plumbing projects. Maybe their excellent but I don't know and won't.

And side note speaking of Yelp and dirty. This business has review stating he didn't respond. Amazingly it's gone. Only two reviews. Now that's dirty Yelp.

Update see owners response. I may not updated my location but I live in Springville CA and own there. If he actually read request he would read my location. But again proving my review's point. Unprofessional and unprofessional response. Note he didn't respond to request for work but did on a review within an hour. Go figure. And BS on Yelp this that accusations. No idea what he's talking about and don't care. He clearly doesn't care and is delusional. Sad pathetic. Wish I could give -5 star. Not worth another word or minute of my time.

And part of a business is responding to potential customers. But you clearly don't understand that.
