Marks Handyman Service

I have used Mark for a few years now and he is the best.  I had a minor plumbing issue and he took the time out of his busy schedule to come to my house and explain what was going on and what my options were.  He explained to me what steps were needed in case I wanted to take care of the issue myself.  His explanation made it easier for me to figure out what was need to be done.  To make a long story short I followed his advice and was able to replace the faulty faucet on my own.  I offered him some compensation for the time he took out of his busy schedule to look at my problem but he said that was not necessary and that he was happy that I was able to take care of the problem.  He has also done extensive work in the past for me on a rental that I previously owned.  I was completely happy with the quality of his work and the time frame which in which he was able to take care of my needs at that time.  I would highly recommend Mark as your go to guy for problems that are related to his handyman skills.

Our dog door installation was perfect! Mark was very skilled and did exactly what we wanted. While he was here we also discussed having him come back to do other projects we've needed done. We can't wait to have him back again since he did a great job.

I tried having Mark come out and fix a leaking water pipe. I had a conversation with him via Yelp messaging and text messages. He told me what his hourly rate was and I agreed to it. I then tried to set up a date by sending him a text message and leaving a voicemail but he never bothered to respond. I would have understood if he had told me that he was too busy to help me out but it would have been nice if he had at least communicated that.

I was finally able to get Mark here to do some work (he is a busy guy!).  He is on-time and very attentive to detail.  The work was done very professionally and he kept me abreast of his process along the way.  I am so happy with what he did (fix my fence/gate, add a lock and silicone spots that needed it on the roof).  Further, he swapped out two light bulbs in my garage door for LED's and now I don't have to worry about them ever going out.  Price is reasonable for the work.  Would not hesitate to call him again or recommend him for work around your house/yard.  I am so happy with the results!!!!  Yes, I finally found someone I can trust to do these types of things around the house.  I am so happy!

He's a good handyman he knows how to do pretty much everything. He isn't available that much that's the only problem but other than that he's really good and nice. Just busy.

He is a dishonest man! Over charged me and damaged my sprinkler pipe without taking care of damage charges! Horrible experience with him!!!!

I had several jobs that needed to be done around the house. The previous handyman came, started the job, left to get supplies, and never returned.  That's when I found Mark on Yelp.  He was booked up, but got back to me within a few days, gave me target dates, and put me on his scheduled.  He showed up when he said he would, prepared and qualified to do the jobs that needed to be done, and did a great job!  I would not hesitate to recommend him!  He was more expensive than others I've used, but worth it.  Thank you, Mark, for going over and above for me!

Mark is awesome to work with and his work ethic is second to none. We had Mark come out and measure for new gates and fencing and AFTER he had purchased materials and delivered them we had a change of opinion on the fencing style we wanted. We felt terrible, but Mark helped us figure out how he could use our material for an upcoming client and got us the new material to complete the fencing we now wanted. He did not need to do this, but he did. The new front fence and gate for our house and our neighbors is beautiful. Better than we had hoped and he will be replacing much more of the fencing around our house here soon.

If you want a profession quality fence Mark is the only person to call. You might save a few bucks elsewhere, but you will regret it later down the road. Call Mark and you will not be disappointed! Just be patient as he is slammed, for good reason, he will return your call/text and you will be glad you had him do the work.

I will definitely be calling Mark for all my projects around the house. I saw his reviews on Yelp and decided to give him a try. He was quick to respond and give me a quote over the phone based on what issues I had. He worked with my schedule which was great. He arrived one time for my appointment and was very respectful. I am beyond pleased with the quality of work he did. I will definitely e calling him again. I highly recommend calling Mark for any project you may have.

I suspect that he does very good work, but I'll never know as he never responded to multiple requests, nor were phone calls successful.  He must be very busy!

For women, the first concern in hiring a handyman is safety; then come all the usual questions of quality and cost of work. Mark fits the bill in every way. He has worked on several small projects for me since I moved into my new home last fall, and in every case I have found him to be trustworthy, reliable, and painstaking. He has installed ceiling fans, a screen door, and a motion sensor light, and fixed a nasty leak in the toilet. When unexpected issues arise during the process, he explains them so you know why the job is going to take longer than he and you had anticipated. On a couple of occasions I had to make spontaneous decisions--one involving electrical work in the atrium and the other about a security gate--and Mark was very generous in accommodating me. He is also accommodating if you feel something needs attending to after a job is done; I noticed the need for some finishing touches on my screen door, and when I called him, he readily agreed to come by and take care of it.

Another nice thing about Mark is that he will talk to you as little or as much as you prefer. So if you're not too terribly interested in all the ins and outs of a job he's doing for you, he won't hold it against you.

Mark does have a 2-hour minimum, which isn't always convenient. But I try to line up enough small jobs for him to make it worth my while. A new list is forming as we speak!

Mark is great. Amazing work. We have a Husky who is a hairy Houdini, and managed to eat a hole through our prexisting fence. We bolstered the integrity of the fence with pots, pool chairs and trellises but he still managed to find a way to escape. So we had no choice but to replace the fence. We called and called multiple fencing companies and were told that they basically couldn't be bothered because we were replacing such a small length of the fence. But...then we stumbled across Mark's contact info on Yelp. He was more than happy to help us. And what a brilliant job he did, all in one day. No more stacks of flower pots, bags of potting soil or pool chairs. The fence is beautiful and completely impassable even for our Husky. Yay!!!!

Mark is excellent at what he does. He is polite, professional and courteous. He really listens to your needs and comes up with suggestions. He shows up on time and responds quickly to calls or texts. He has a variety of skills when it comes to home repair and remodeling.  He built my fences and they are beautiful! The fences are twice as strong and solid as my old fence. I also had him build a hearth in front of my gas fireplace. I am very pleased with it. Do not hesitate to call Mark. You'll be happy you did!

I'm so glad we found Mark to help with a range of projects around the house, from electrical work to caulking the shower. He is very diligent, reliable and versatile. He ran into some unforeseen issues, which he was all able to solve. He is also a good communicator, keeping us informed and explaining his approach. If I have another project around the house, I will call Mark, hands down.

Mark did a great job fixing all the items on our list.  He stated he was super busy and we said we were not in a huge hurry, he came out exactly at the time estimated, completed all the work in a timely manner.  I highly recommend contacting him, good quality work can fix anything!

The old wooden fence at our house was falling apart, so the landlord hired Mark's Handyman Service to repair it. In 8 hours, they BUILT a whole new wooden fence (with a cool gate) that is unbelievable for the price. (Killer work Mark and Crew. You guys busted some hard work! You guys gave him what he paid for, but gave it character too.)

Glad I met Mark and know who to call when we buy a home. I'd recommend them to anyone I know from now.

He messaged me back quickly. He was busy working, and said he would text me that evening.  Due to the holiday weekend, I'm waiting until Tuesday to message him again. Hopefully I will be able to obtain an estimate. I'm not one to bother somebody on the weekends and holidays. His pics on prior fences look great, therefore I am giving him 5 stars for initially returning my request via a message just as I prefer. . I will update after I receive estimate and hopefully a new fence.

Mark was a pleasure to work with.  I contacted a couple of different companies for prices to install a water heater.  Not only was Mark prices considerably lower but he was able to complete the job the next day.  Super nice guy and highly recommend him for any of your home projects.

Mark fixed the wax ring for my toilet. It had been leaking for a while. He cleaned all around the base of the toilet and underneath it too. No one else would. This guy is on point and provides exceptional service. He will be my only contact for all home repairs. Thanks.

Mark is the nicest guy. He responded to my emails promptly and kept in touch with me during the whole process. We set a time for him to come by and look at my fence and my rain gutter problem, he gave me a very reasonable estimate and let me know when he could come by and take care of it the following week. His helper was there on time and Mark was there with him to get everything set up. We spoke because I had an appointment and I told him when I would be back and he explained what they would be doing. By the time I got home it was already done and they were gone. All in all I'm very pleased.

If you want a professional who is honest, dependable, and knowledgeable, call (or text) Mark. He has done quite a few repairs around my house, and has delivered nothing less than pure quality work. He will always be my first call when I need something done.

Our fence was a victim of the strong wind gusts that Fresno experienced in early October. We had two posts that needed to be reset. I found Mark on Yelp and sent him a quick text message asking for a quote. He responded within an hour and gave me a very fair price.

His schedule is booked up pretty far in advance so make sure you contact him as soon as you can. It was worth the wait. His guy showed up at the scheduled time and worked quickly and efficiently and was polite and respectful when I spoke to him about the fence afterwards. He set the posts correctly and now it's solid again.

There's not much else to say, he runs a pretty straightforward operation. Absolutely no complaints, great fast and efficient service at a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend Mark's handyman service to anyone who asked.

Guy never followed through on the date he said he would go out and check my home ! FLAKEY!!!!!!

Mark Was EXCELLENT!   He redponded quickly to our initial voice message and was able to fit us in that afternoon.  We called him to install a master bedroom fan and insert plugs in the electrical panel.  He did both well.  He's a pleasant individual who was fine with our crazy dogs.  Will call him again.

I had been in Fresno four months, and had been trying to get a Handyman, at least one to either call back or show up, since I arrived.  No such luck, until I contacted Mark.  I needed the fence that encircled my pool equipment, and which was abutting my outdoor cooking area completely removed and replaced with a new fence, two gates, and slightly relocated to allow more access to my grilling area.  The place he had to work was without much space, too much pool equipment, and concrete around the grilling area....very difficult. I was going to go on the cheap with the cheapest fence planks, and Mark advised against it, but, nevertheless, arrived with the cheap materials I requested. After viewing the fence materials, I admitted I was wrong and Mark, not only returned the cheap wood, but came back with quality fencing.  He did everything I asked and more all in one day.  I have a beautiful fence of quality fence materials.  Mark is REALLY GOOD.  He shows up; he is courteous, attentive, skilled, efficient.  The guy is great and does great work.  I highly recommend him, and will definitely be calling on him again.

Everything you could want: prompt, clean, professional, left no garbage, price was right, and work (cat door in exterior wall) was beautiful.

We needed about 30' of fence replaced. It was hard to get fencing companies listed on the various media sites to even respond. If they did they had minimum job size & price hurdles, which were higher than than what I needed. I found Mark through Yelp and contacted him. He had photos of fences he built and repaired and the quality of workmanship looked good. He gave me a price per lineal foot with no minimum and it was a fair price. He was busy, but we scheduled a start date 3 weeks out. We touched base the night before and confirmed that he would be at my house around 8 AM. He and his helper Sean showed up and got to it. They were finished by 3:30 PM and the fence looks great, and matches the old fence perfectly. My neighbor and I were happy with the work and will recommend Mark to others. I asked what else he can do? He said he is not limited to fences and can do most other handyman repairs and work. As you all know a competent handyman is hard to find. You will not be disappointed.

Mark did a great job building us a new side gate and pool equipment enclosure. He was punctual and very knowledgeable on gate requirements for yards with pools. I would recommend him and plan to use him for other projects

After searching all over for weeks to find someone to do a small wood siding repair on my house, I've learned how unreliable most handymen are. They will set appointments they never show up for, or they come out, but never get back to you with an estimate. That's why I appreciate that Mark was upfront with me about his schedule and being unavailable to do my repairs. He deserves a thumbs up for professionalism, and I will keep him in mind for future projects that are not as time-sensitive as this one.

Let me start out by saying Thank you Mark!!! Thank you for coming to my home on time and thank you for being so responsive with our text messaging even during yours and my busy work week!! Everybody knows how it feels to try and find someone who is reliable, on time and honest especially when working on their homes. I never got the feeling once that Mark was trying to take advantage of my lack of knowledge or upsell me on something I did not want. He came to my home with all the knowledge that I was looking for and was very patient when I asked questions and gave me the reasoning why he does something the way he does it. I hope to do business with him and write another review once my fence is done....now I just need to talk to the good old neighbors and find out what their really made of lol

I called Mark because nobody else would show up and like his ad says he does show up. I had a rain gutter that had a piece that was damaged and needed to be fixed. Unfortunately it was a little bit hard to find because nobody made that style rain gutter anymore Mark did a great job tracking it down finding a piece that matched perfectly painted it now it looks like nothing was ever wrong. Will definitely be using him again and will recommend his services

Mark just left my place after working for me for the first time. I needed two light fixtures installed as well as numerous other small projects. His response was timely, he kept me updated on when my project could be scheduled and he showed up on time!!! He was professional, friendly and thorough. Absolutely a great first experience. I will be using him again and highly recommend his services.

All I can say is out of all the service people that I've used in the last 10 years Mark is number one. He took the time to research several aspects of my remodel and where others claim to know something they didn't he did his homework and was honest about his answers. Mark did deck construction, fence building, paint contracting, electrical and all were above my expectations. I will never use anybody else but Mark in the future and can tell you with all sincerity that that is a difficult statement to make. If you're lucky you will also see Lloyd, Mark's father-in-law, he is just as amazing an engineer and just in general knows everything!! The combination of the young thinker and the wiser older gentleman was a winner for me. Can't really recommend them highly enough!!

Right on time, wearing a mask, courteous, did a great job replacing wall sockets and replaced a light in my garage. He also repaired my sliding screen door. Did an outstanding job.

I needed a fence replacement along my side yard.  Mark was recommended by a neighbor.  Mark gave us an estimate and explained in detail his process and materials.  He and his crew arrived on time and completed the job in one day.  This included tearing down and removing the old fence and installing the new fence.  He also built a very sturdy gate.  The materials used are top notch and the craftsmanship is first rate.  Mark and his crew are all professional and friendly.  I would recommend Mark for any of your handyman needs.  I will use Mark again if any needs arise.

Very disappointed in the quality of work, lack of responsibility to us(not showing up,seems more interested in next job and not the one he is on) did not cleanup the site (we picked up a ton screws left all over and did not correct a badly cut board that left a big gap in the ceiling of our gazebo.) Very upset by quality, response and lack of communication.

Just had Mark King in to do a laundry list of projects around the house.  We have worked with him for over 3 years and he is the best!  Professional, and always delivers high quality work.  Painting, fence repair, appliance installation, fan installation for the 14 ft ceiling, and on!  He has always been there for us and is truly the best.  If you need help, Mark is your guy.

Mark came out and put in a fence in my backyard. With his work buddy they put up seventy feet of fencing in about 8 hours. The fence is beautifully made of the finest materials, and he really made sure to put the energy needed into making the fence something that will last for a long time. He explained every step of the process to me, and if I knew the terminology I would tell you about the special treated nails he used, and the pressure treated posts, but I can't honestly remember everything he said.

The key thing is he was honest, and upfront with me about cost, timeline, and what the process would look like. There are a million people who would offer to put up a fence and take my money after doing half a job, and not telling me what to expect. With Mark I felt like I was in good hands, and the product proves that to be true. I would highly suggest calling Mark for any of your handyman needs.

Mark and his helper just finished up building and installing a new fence and gates across the driveway that runs alongside my house. They started at 9:00 this morning and finished up about 2:00 PM. They did an outstanding job and I am pleased as punch! His quote for the job was the most reasonable of the four I got. The quality of the workmanship is superb. Five stars, two thumbs up, and an auditorium full of applause!

Our backyard fence blew down during all of the rain and storms in January 2023.  I contacted Mark through Yelp, and he came out right away to see the project.  He provided a couple of quotes, as requested, and it was decided to have him replace the entire fence on that side of the house (65 feet), including a new gate at the front.
He did the work yesterday.  he and his team a fantastic job...the fence hasn't looked that good in...forever!  I will definitely contact Mark for future repair work in the future.  Thank you Mark for a job well done!

Mark does excellent work! We had him build a fence in our backyard and then had him come back today to add something more to the fence. He is always on time and lets you know if there is an issue. I have found I have better luck texting rather than calling. He is always working and doesn't hear the phone ring. His appointments are a bit out but that is because he is so in demand. He is worth the wait, trust me. We are so happy with the work he did, and he stands by it and comes back if there are any issues. Great job Mark!

Mark has been amazing. We still have a few things to do, but it's my schedule that is weird and Mark has been more than accommodating. He is always on time,  very thorough and is awesome in communicating with me. Very happy to have found him!  FOLLOW UP. ... Mark just left, and my little projects are all done. Couldn't be happier. For anyone who needs damn near anything done around the house,  call Mark!!!! He is fair,  honest and reliable. I have no doubt I'll be needing him again in the very near future and it's so calming to know that he is there to help.

Wonderful job done by Mark. He calls you back & he shows up when he schedules you for an appointment. He installed recessed lighting in my living room and it changed the whole look of the room. I love it! The prices are very reasonable and I'm definitely calling him back to do our fencing on the side of our home. I am actually going to find out what other stuff he does, as he is very reliable and just a great handyman to have access to.

Mark and his crew replaced a large fence around our home and it looks great!  He used superior materials and he and his crew finished the job in the promised time, even working through 100+ temperatures.  Appreciate the work ethic and excellent work.  They repaired any sprinklers that were damaged in the process as we had lines close to the fence.  We will be having Mark back to help with some electrical work inside when we complete a remodel.  Thanks for a great job!

I contacted Mark to replace a worn out gate and stretch of fencing. He responded very quickly and his quote was super reasonable. He showed up when he said he would and completed the job in a timely fashion. The quality of the work is top notch. I couldn't be more pleased with the results. I'll definitely call in Mark again.

My garbage disposal went out, and it turned into the project from hell.  I had someone come out through Home Adviser, it took two hours, and he still couldn't fix it.  Wanted me to authorize more time - I said get out!
That's when I found Mark on Yelp.  He was very professional.  Did the work in a timely manner and gave me piece of mind.

I wish I had a positive review to post, but that's not my case.  Mark said he would do my project, he said he would get back to me after checking his schedule. I had to reach back out to him twice after not hearing back from him, I was quite patient, and the last time I messaged him he simply didn't respond at all.  I understand people are busy, or maybe just not interested at all, but it would be nice if he would have just said no in the first place, rather then lead somebody to believe they will do the job, for months, and then ghost them.

Mark did a great job! He was very reliable and he did a great job replacing our whole backyard fence. He responded right away and gave me a fair estimate. I told him I had 2 dogs and needed something strong and durable. He suggested we use redwood and explained that all of the materials he uses are built for strength and durability, including pre-treated wood and galvanized nails. I would definitely recommend Mark for any handyman job and I will definitely be calling him again to install a ceiling fan and other projects. Thanks Mark!
