Best A/C Installation in Pittsburgh PA
We have used Scott Boyd plumbing ourselves and recommended them to my mother and our son for various jobs. Here's the first unique thing - they answer the phone!! Number 2 thing is this( wait for it) they actually show up when they say they will.. I know most of you will call bs on that, but it's 100% true!! We have been stood up by various plumbers ( yeah you know who you are) so many times I still can't believe these guys show up!! And if they have the parts , they fix what needs fixed. And what they charge is really reasonable. Nice people, decent prices, good work. And don't forget- they actually SHOW UP! So if you want a totally new experience- give these guys a call.

I called Brett since I had no running water in my house due to a leak. He wasn't available to come out that day due to being fully booked but he gave me advice on how to temporally resolve my issue. He even gave out his personal cell and said to send him photos of anything that I'm stuck on and he would walk me through it. That's unheard of since most people want paid for their time! I will be using Brett's Plumbing in the future!

I called Jim Meyers plumbing to fix my 3 handle American Standard hot/ cold faucet handles in my bathroom tub. The faucet handles rotated 360 degrees and the water only shutoff when the handles were in the horizontal position. Additionally, the transfer valve was leaking from the middle shower handle. The first plumber that was sent to repair the faucets could not fix this issue. His solution was to adjust the hot/cold handles vertically (downward), so it was easier to position the handles in an off position...they still rotated 360 degrees. He could not remove the center shower handle because he did not bring Allen wrenches, fortunately I had them. Once the handle was removed, he indicated he did not have the transfer valve to make the repair. I needed this repair completed within 3 days, so I asked if they had this part at the shop. He said they did not, although he would check with the owner. I asked if he could just order the part and have it overnighted. He said it would take 3-5 days to get the part and it would be quicker if I ordered it. He said once the part was in, it would take a 1/2 hour to install. I asked if he could remove the transfer valve, so I could take it Home Depot or a Plumbing Supply Store to get a replacement. He said he did not have the tool to remove. I did convey to the dispatch staff that I had an American Standard faucet when I initially made the service call. He prepared the bill for 2 hours at $199.85.
Since I did not hear back from the plumber regarding the transfer valve, I ordered it from Amazon.
Plumber II was prepared. He fixed the issue with the faucets so they actually stopped and did not rotate 360 degrees. For the center shower handle valve, the part I ordered from Amazon was stripped, however the plumber did have the part on his truck and he quickly repaired it. Plumber II was very nice and said he would talk to the owner regarding the work of Plumber 1 - he agreed with me that the work was subpar. He said the owner would 'make things right'. Charge for the second service $233.05.
I did not receive a call from the owner, so I called...twice. Subsequently, the owner's wife called to discuss. After going over the work performed, I said I did not feel the charge was right since the first plumber really did not do anything other than remove the center shower handle (it was stripped, he sawzalled it off). She first stated that she could not provide a refund for the work performed because they had to charge for the time spent trying to repair the issue. I asked her if charging $432 was fair. After further discussion, she said she would refund one of the travel charges ($34.95) and that was the best she could do.
I called a plumber for this simple repair because I wanted the job to be performed correctly - this is a rental property and did not want further issues. In hindsight I should have called a handyman, they probably would have at least brought tools...live and learn I guess.

My elderly mom needed some plumbing work done on her house, and we selected the right plumber to do the job! Bob and his son gave us the flexibility we needed to schedule and completed the work like it was their own mom's house. Their cost matched their estimate and was quite reasonable. Highly recommend Klug Plumbing and will request them again. Thank you!

We had Fady come by to make some repairs and we were so impressed by his professionalism, respect, and work. He showed up with a mask covering his face and booties in his shoes before I even answered the door. What a really nice man, too. Highly recommend, all around great experience.

They just replaced our water heater today. Good communication, stuck to their price, and were incredibly professional. They also unclogged a drain and replaced a valve, all within an hour.

These guys were fantastic. Very friendly, professional. We had a plumbing emergency, they responded very quickly to the call. Came out the next day and fixed the issue. The price was great, and the job was done really well.

If you're looking for quality plumbing work, hire Joe. First, he returned my call after hours, which showed me that he really cared about my problem. He came the next day to fix my faucet and took the time to evaluate another issue we were having. Joe is a super friendly, honest guy. He's a true master at what he does. I highly recommend him for any plumbing need.

We had horrific water damage from our first floor powder room that flooded our first floor and then destroyed so much in our finished game room downstairs. We called the only plumber we knew but he was booked the entire day. We called our police department and the officer who responded recommended Gerard and actually called the company for us. A tech named Danny appeared very quickly and got to work right away. He acknowledged that he saw that my husband is an amputee and I'm on a cane. When he needed help, he contacted another tech and between the two of them, they got the water problem under control. Danny wanted to make sure we had water again and he accomplished that. I would surely recommend this company to our friends and we will call them again if any need arises.

Dave was absolutely amazing! He was extremely courteous and professional. He explained what he did on every step of unclogging my drain. I cannot tell you how pleased I am with this company! For what Dave did, the price was very good. I didn't feel gouged or taken advantage of. I will never go to another plumber.

Called because we had a backup within the house. Called and the gentleman that answered the phone was very nice. He said within an hour somebody would be there. 20 minutes later Sean pulled in. He was very nice and friendly. He explained what he was gonna do before he did it. Also told us the price and here would be a jump in the price of he had to use bigger tools. Thanks for the great work. We will be calling in the future for further problems!

I initially liked this company because they were very responsive. However, each additional request for service got more and more expensive.
They were supposed to show you the cost of the repair from a book and that quickly stopped. They would right down the cost on the invoice but would not show me the cost in their price book.
I had a valve replaced and that was reasonable for $300 bucks.
The next work I had done was some electrical work. This was $579.
I had a water heater replaced for $1550. Mind you Home Depot would have done it for $1000. When I brought this to the attention of the technician he indicated it had to do with the quality of the water heater and their technicians. Now mind you, they replaced the old water heater with the same brand water heater the old water heater was. This heater runs $500.
So I also need my boiler fixed, the boiler needs to be replaced. I am initially told that $700 will resolve my problem by Jerod Or Adam. In any case they get the boiler running for one day and want me to pay more money because another part could be the problem. They wanted me to change the boiler at a cost of 6k to 9k. The fix for the boiler was getting more expensive and did not resolve my problem of needing the home to be heated.
I called another company they knew exactly what the problem was and told me the most would be $150. A big difference ($550). These guys will rob you blind!!!
Go with someone else do not use Benjamin Franklin Plumbing! The will defraud you and rob you blind!!!
I have zero confidence in this company and would go with another company if I were you!!

I scheduled the air conditioner yearly service to be done on monday morning 6 /26/23@ 08:00- 08:30 last week. Chris H. arrived at 08:26 and did a fine job checking the furnace and AC unit and checking on some prior repairs and recomended work that was suggested to be done from an earlier check up. Thanks for keeping things running right.

We purchased our original waterheater from this company with a 12 year warranty. They said they do not have a franchise in our area anymore. When I brought up the warranty they agreed to come and replace it with an expected labor charge. They charged me almost $600 for the labor for at most 1 hour of work. Talk about gouging your customer. I could buy a new water for that price. The labor should have been half that at most.
I would not recommend them.

Will not respond after having issues with their work
They installed a new boiler in our house the past spring. Have been having issues with it since late January. It will shut off and gives an error message. Email Mike P of their company and he will not respond, bee over a week. Also because things were not done right a radiator in my basement cracked and water started to gush out. Luckily I found the shut off valves to the radiator so it could be shut off. I understand issues arise, but the unwillingness of these people to address these issues are why they get the 1 star rating. If you use them don't ever expect they will get back to you in a timely manner if you need something.

The service was great & the problem is fixed. Their prices, however, leave much to be desired. $400 to have three knobs in my bathtub replaced. We even provided the parts and had taken one of the old knobs off. As I stated, the guy they sent was nice but I feel like I've been robbed. If our tool hadn't broken in the middle of the job, we could have done this ourselves.
