Best HVAC System Maintenance in Oklahoma City OK
We have struggled with our furnace going out when the artic cold fronts come through under 25degrees. It would work ok above 25 but not below 25 degrees, when we desperately needed it. Dense Mechanical was prompt to help us out and did an amazing job of diagnosing the problem. Their technicians are extremely knowledgeable and courteous. They are willing to do whatever it takes to protect your family and your house. We highly recommend them. Rod B.

We called up Triple Play for a Tenant's place in SW OKC. The heater would not get hot and will shut off.. It was a frigid day with temperatures in the 20s. The tenant had to leave but the technician said that he could do everything from the garage. The technician never entered the house. They were able to send someone that day to check, so that is a pro, hence the 2 star vs 1 star review.
The quotes were provided for multiple options ranging from a few hundred dollars to $3000. It was very confusing as each quote seemed to indicate different parts added on that needed to be replaced, like one has the gas valve controller ($389 + $849= $1338), universal inducer fan( $775), pressure switch ($338) . The issue seemed to stem from an apparent failure of the control board?) Of course there was no guarantee or warranty on this and there was a push to replace the entire system. The last option was a whole new furnace at $5000.
There is a $99.95 service call. On their website it states $0 Service Call.
I was able to swing by later, plug in the furnace and do a quick scan and saw that the air flow filter in the garage was filthy and the return air filters inside the house needed to be changed. Everything else looked clean and in great working order.
As a temporary measure, I cleaned a couple of the filters and lo and behold, the house started to warm back up without cutting off. It has been a couple of days without the issue arising, so am not able to replicate the issue.
I am not sure if this is their normal practice or if this is incompetence/ignorance of the technician who came out. Nonetheless, I will NOT recommend this company, unless you are desperate and have a few thousand dollars laying around to blow.

Last night around 2 am I noticed the fan on my out door Ac unit wasn't spinning. It was making noise as if it were trying, but it wouldnt start up on its own. After a little research online I came to the conclusion that it was likely one of two things wrong with the unit, either the fan motor or the capacitor.
At 7 am I called Hill & Co to have someone come out, and they were able to have someone out within the next two hours. Pretty good response time, and I was very happy with that part of the transaction. But from that point on everything went down hill.
The service fee was $135, which I will say that I may of misunderstood some info about that charge so I'm not too upset with it. When the service tech arrived, I was greeted and I immediately knew this was someone who would be very unpleasant to deal with. I wasn't wrong. I explained to him what I thought was going on and within 5 minutes he confirmed my suspicion. He then told me I needed the $199 cleaning service, which I declined due to a strict budget we're on since the birth of our son. He wasn't happy about that. He proceeded to tell me the price of the repair and of the part that needed replacing. It was the Ac capacitor which he quoted me $191, seemed reasonable to me. He finished with everything and gave me a total of $324. At this point I started to question the charges, get some detail before paying. The $191.00 was for the part alone. A quick google of the model number brought up the exact part for $9 so I'm wondering why theirs was so special and roughly 17 times more expensive. His response was he can just go remove the part and I can deal with it if that's what I want. I'm a client with questions and my response is an ultimatum? Frustrated and needing to wrap this up, I ended up paying the bill due to that and that alone. After the tech left I called the company and spoke with amber the supervisor to ask some of the same questions. She assured me his behavior is not how they want the company to be represented. She assured me she would address it and contact me to see if she could help my out. Still no call. I work with people, if anyone was treated like this at our place of business we would be Hung out to dry! It is a shame. Below is a link to the part I paid $191.00 for.
I advise everyone in Oklahoma to use Hill & Company for all their Ac needs. (Heavy on the sarcasm.) .

I purchased a maintenance agreement last year. When they came out for my heating unit maintenance the guy(a) who they sent was obviously looking to sell me a new unit rather than service my existing unit. He (a) fumbled around for a while, not really doing anything then he came in and said that he couldn't do the maintenance. He called another guy(b), (the salesman) to come over and pitch me. While waiting on this other guy(b) to arrive, he(a) went to my unit and disconnected the natural gas and unplugged the unit. Then he(a) came and told me he was going to have to shut it down for a carbon monoxide leak. The other guy(b) arrived to backup his(a) decision and then pressure me into buying another unit. I advised them both that I was not interested in a new unit. They kept hemming and hawing around, I guess trying to figure out why their well planned sales pitch wasn't working on me. Finally, I told them I'll walk you to the door and had to get behind them and move them to the door. LOL, I guess they just liked being around me and didn't want to leave (sarcasm). By the way, I have a carbon monoxide alarm (new) and it had not gone off. I called and reported the incident and asked for a refund...(yeah, right). Several days later the office lady called back and said they don't do refunds but would work something out on a new unit. I happily told her I had already purchased a new unit. LOL, but still NoRefund.
