My furnace would freeze up when it got too cold outside, cause the unit to not function. I called Hill & Co to come out prior to the last big freeze before Christmas 2022 and see if we could prevent the furnace from freezing again. The tech came out and wrapped the condensate line with heat tape and insulation. When the cold came, the furnace still froze up. I called and they sent another tech out. She identified that the first tech didn't install the heat tape properly so it wasn't working. This frustration was compounded by the fact that the first tech neglected to tell me the quoted price we agreed on did not include the mandatory service fee, so the price he charged me after the job was complete was higher than what I thought I was going to pay. It all felt very dishonest and frustrating. All of that said, the second tech who came out, she was very knowledgeable and helpful. And, the customer service rep I talked to at the Hill & Co was very apologetic and helped us get the situation resolved in a way that we both were happy. I was very impressed by both of them. I hope any interaction I have with Hill & Co in the future is more like that.

If I could give negative stars I would .
They kept going to there truck for a part. they stood out there for 5 to 10 minutes every time . Took seven hours to re-plumb the underneath of ONE sink. Remember this is all by the hour .
The other they chipped the enamel . Tried to sell me a a bathroom faucet for 700+ dollars that on amazon was 79.99. This is after they broke the sink .
I had to finish the job cause they could not even get the drain out .
Then a over a year after this happened,I was looking at the card statement, low and behold their is a bill for over 100 dollars for services. They did not do a thing . They have not stepped foot in my home for well over a year . They never even finished the first job . This is fraud .
So if you have been unforunate enough to have done business with them check your statements . And look for services from hill & co .
After a few hiccups at the beginning of our friendship, the company dedicated itself to repairing the damage initially done as a result of a misdiagnosis. They refunded the amount I had paid for the visit, sent a senior technician along with a manager, adjusted the HVAC, and did not charge for the service.
I can't give a higher rating at this point, because I have to wait a little longer to be sure that the service (done two weeks ago) will actually turn out to be well done. In the future, if all goes well, this assessment could be improved.
For the moment, as a way to give them even a chance to redeem themselves, I might take advantage of their tune-up service (twice a year), which they said I can get for $144.
I'll be back here to update this review.
Oh my goodness, Crystal is simply a GIFT and the entire company seems helpful and supportive. They are dealing with overwhelming numbers, but they were forthright about the process, prices and even gave me some insight on how to deal with our hideous landlord. Yay for great humans! Even if we get someone out sooner, I'll definitely recommend and they'll be my first choice in the future!

I have had maintenance contract w this company for years. At December 2021 heater maintenance the tech said a motor was out. I checked with two other companies and both told me there was nothing wrong with the motor. Beware!

We replaced two complete systems in our home. The entire process was very professional and detailed in the estimates and proposal. Our sales contact, Dale, was very knowledgeable and meticulous in the estimate inspection. Not only was his estimate very detailed and comprehensive, he identified a few install corrections from the previous installer that ultimately solved long-standing issues from our original systems. Our system replacements included conversion to natural gas and electrical panel modifications. Dale coordinated all of the required technicians and permits to complete the job within their stated timeframe, with little interference or disruption to us. And, upon the final quality inspection, we were given our rebate paperwork and warranty forms pre-filled with all required information, ready to drop in the mailbox.
Hill & Company are truly a quality and customer service focused contractor that I would recommend to anyone for HVAC work.
Just wanted to publicly state that I won't be doing business with Hill and Company any longer.
For the last 12 years, I have had a service contract with Hill and Company. I haven't had any problems before, but last week that changed. After my semi annual service on my furnace, I was told by the technician that I had a cracked heat exchanger and it would need to be replaced. (They showed me a picture of the cracked exchanger). They told me because of the crack my heater would blow carbon monoxide out into my house, so they cut the gas to my unit until it was fixed (I had not yet turned on my heat this year). The next morning a lady from Hill called and said the actual heat exchanger was under warranty, (and they had to order it). She also informed me it would be $950 labor to install it.
Since that was a pretty substantial labor charge, I decided to be sure. I contacted another trusted HVAC technician (friend of the family), had him inspect my unit, and was told there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. He said for my own peace of mind I should get a carbon monoxide detector, but he turned on my gas, and I've been running my heat ever since. He also suggested getting a third opinion if it would make me feel better, which I did today.
I got a referral from my builder to another trusted HVAC tech he uses. He also has confirmed there is nothing wrong with my heat exchanger. So, two against one, Hill and Company loses. They have certainly lost my business.
It's good to know the kind of people you're dealing with these days! Beware!
(This morning Hill and Company called and said their truck was in the way to install my part....and I told them I was NOT moving forward with the repair, and I requested they send me that picture they took of the cracked exchanger!). I'm sure it won't be dated, so it won't prove a thing, except that they lie!
They charged over $200 for a capacitor . I understand mark up but this can be purchased for $50 or two under. No discussion about the price of the part until it was installed.
The fan was making a rattling noise after. The tech pretty much blew it off when my wife asked him about it.
Now system is down again the next morning.
I would have preferred to live with a rattle in my fan than call them back out.
Maybe it will be a better experience. If so I will update.
Since I posted this Scott from their company called me and made things ok.
He provided some good customer service and took care of our issue.
Thank Scott
2/20/21 9 am - 12:15 pm had new heat and air units installed By Hill & Company. Servicemen were pleasant & quick. Answered a few questions my husband had asked. Adjusted the return duct calculations, also.
2/21/21 am discovered ~1/8 cup of fine brown sand on the white tile kitchen floor & ~ 2 Tblsp of same on black tile floor in master bathroom. Sweep and mop the floor, everything is good. The Heater comes on again ... blows sand onto the floors again. And again, and again, and again. Which leads me to the conclusion we are breathing in dirty air. Real sand. So, is it possible the serviceman did not clean or exchange the floor pan near the blower motor before he installed the rest of the unit? I don't know. There is debris on the furnace closet floor and the enducer motor is making a high pitch whistle when the unit is on ... so, not exactly happy at this moment. If something else needed to be addressed, we should have been told.
Update: after posting my initial review online, I was contacted by Mr. Hill regarding the installation and service issues I have experienced with this mini-split unit. He was very courteous and has taken several steps to correct what he can in regards to how this was handled. He apologized; he scheduled a service appointment to have the entire system rechecked; and he extended the warranty on the labor. He also, within a matter of minutes of speaking with me, provided the requested written documentation of the extended warranty. He also explained that a second year of labor warranty will be provided for any review left, regardless of the number of stars given. I was under the impression it had to be a 5-star review, but will concede I might have misunderstood that. Hopefully that ensures that any star rating you see if, in fact, a true reflection of the customer's experience.
Last night around 2 am I noticed the fan on my out door Ac unit wasn't spinning. It was making noise as if it were trying, but it wouldnt start up on its own. After a little research online I came to the conclusion that it was likely one of two things wrong with the unit, either the fan motor or the capacitor.
At 7 am I called Hill & Co to have someone come out, and they were able to have someone out within the next two hours. Pretty good response time, and I was very happy with that part of the transaction. But from that point on everything went down hill.
The service fee was $135, which I will say that I may of misunderstood some info about that charge so I'm not too upset with it. When the service tech arrived, I was greeted and I immediately knew this was someone who would be very unpleasant to deal with. I wasn't wrong. I explained to him what I thought was going on and within 5 minutes he confirmed my suspicion. He then told me I needed the $199 cleaning service, which I declined due to a strict budget we're on since the birth of our son. He wasn't happy about that. He proceeded to tell me the price of the repair and of the part that needed replacing. It was the Ac capacitor which he quoted me $191, seemed reasonable to me. He finished with everything and gave me a total of $324. At this point I started to question the charges, get some detail before paying. The $191.00 was for the part alone. A quick google of the model number brought up the exact part for $9 so I'm wondering why theirs was so special and roughly 17 times more expensive. His response was he can just go remove the part and I can deal with it if that's what I want. I'm a client with questions and my response is an ultimatum? Frustrated and needing to wrap this up, I ended up paying the bill due to that and that alone. After the tech left I called the company and spoke with amber the supervisor to ask some of the same questions. She assured me his behavior is not how they want the company to be represented. She assured me she would address it and contact me to see if she could help my out. Still no call. I work with people, if anyone was treated like this at our place of business we would be Hung out to dry! It is a shame. Below is a link to the part I paid $191.00 for.
I advise everyone in Oklahoma to use Hill & Company for all their Ac needs. (Heavy on the sarcasm.) .

Won't be back to my house. Bought a 14 year old home. Hill and Co had been servicing the unit for the prior owner so i called them. Heater would not come on. Service call was $120.00. Repairs extra. Tech unplugged 2 wires and plugged them back in. Came on. Repair was extra $80.00. Told my wife water was in unit. Will need to be replaced. Called friend in the business. He said could be or just plugged up. I looked at the unit, removed a hose and water came pouring out thru the line. I cleaned and replaced the hose. Works like a new one. Rust is present in the unit as a result of clogged hose. Have no doubt Hill and Co. will have cost me years of service from the unit.
The technician from this company came out to my house on May 18th to service the outside AC unit. He hooked up the testers to the unit to determine levels of Freon. He said the levels were low and it would be expensive to replace. I went on to tell him that there was no air coming into the house so that prompted him to look at the furnace inside the garage. He said the motor was burned out and needed to be replaced. He said that would be expensive too. He then said he needed to talk to his people to see what they could work out for me. He later came back and said they could add the Freon for $160 + $98 for an additional pound of Freon and the motor part for the furnace would cost $768. That cost was just for the part and he said all he did was look up up the model and serial # of the furnance and that was the cost for that part. I told him no thanks and that I needed to get a second opinion. After he left I googled the part and it it only cost $96 and I could buy it from Lowe's or Home Depot. This company tried to charge me $768 for a part that only cost $96 in the store. Crooked and dishonest. Long story short I called another company and he replaced the motor and capacitor along with the labor for a total of $480. I cannot recommend Hill & Co.

I had an exceptional experience with the installation process of my HVAC unit. They were very prepared, courteous and worked very fast. They sent three workmen to finish the project in one day. Everyone seemed well trained and pleasant to work with.

First they charge me $50 to drive 2 miles to my house. Then they want to charge me $365 for parts to fix a bathroom shower. I bought the parts online for $52(with shipping) one day service and it took less than 30 minutes to install. Thieves!!! Don't call them!!!
Would not use this company again. No one appears to talk to each other and apparently every aspect of the system takes days to install. Constantly have to prompt them regarding when the next appointment is. I hope everything will be worth it when it is all said and done.
