Requested Handyman Heroes to come out to our condo and take a look at our door jamb, floor boards, and window. I knew when I called them that they charge to provide estimates but that it would go towards the work cost. I had no problem with that as I planned to hire them regardless.
Two men arrived to take a look. They were friendly and really seemed to want to help. There wasn't an issue as they took a look at each item and discussed how much work would be involved. However they said they wouldn't be able to fix the window which was a bit annoying since I thoroughly explained it in my request, but understandable.
As they were leaving I had to pay them the estimate fee and they said they'd send me the estimates by email and that they could start work as soon as I sign off on it. The issue was when the email arrived and the estimates were way higher than expected. Their estimates also included a high markup on materials. There was no way I could hire them. So even though the visit went well it felt like I was being taken advantage of afterwards.
My brother and I ended up fixing our door jamb and floor boards with our father's help, spending a day and less than 10% of what Handyman had charged. We still lost the $75 or so for the estimate charge but chalk that up to a lesson now. That's just how some places do their business. It all worked out for us in the end.

Several items in our home were in need of repair, including a kitchen light, doorbell and thermostat. Ted (Mr. Fixit) is a great troubleshooter and easily found the source of the problems, getting them fixed one after the other. There are plenty of times when a specialized technician is overkill, and it's better to find someone who can take care of a broad range of smaller tasks quickly. Ted is a perfect handyman. He was also clear about things that were better handled by a specialist.
Basically, Ted was very professional throughout; he even brought indoor shoes to wear while inside our home (something noted by another reviewer). I appreciated the time he took to explain what he was doing while sharing the pros and cons of different approaches to resolving the problem.
We won't hesitate to call him again and would highly recommend him to others!

Paul completed several projects at our house. He repaired drywalls and did a wonderful painting for our front door and pergola at a very good price. He paid attention to detail and followed through what he said he would do. I definitely will ask him to return for our next project.

Keshab responded to my request quickly and scheduled an appointment to come by the home and give me an estimate. The quoted price was fair and he worked quickly and stayed in communication. I am very happy with the work and will use the service again.

Was really pleased with the service! Communication was great, the price was very reasonable, and they really took the time to focus on the areas I mentioned. Will definitely be using them again!

This guy strung me along even though I was willing to help get things done when he gave excuses. He is not professional and am not sure why he was high on the search for a responsible handyman.
Run from this guy! He left me hanging at the last minute and still wouldn't be any help when I offered to pick him up when he gave a weak excuse that his truck wouldn't work. I simply needed him to view the job and give a quote, and I was willing to wait until his truck was fixed to do all the work required. A true loser handyman.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend Bader anymore. Turns out, the faucet wasn't installed properly, and as a result hot water isn't coming out of it anymore.
I called Bader over 50 times over the past week, and he repeatedly ignored my call and texts, and only sent me one message saying it's not his problem that the faucet is not working. I even offered to pay extra for him to fix it.
Overall -- please stay away from Mr. Bader and his business, he's not trustworthy and will not offer any kind of after-sales service in case his own job is shoddy.

Ben is my new go-to handyman! I'd been dealing with a faulty kitchen faucet for months, and Ben was able to evaluate and fix the issue within an hour. His deep expertise, responsiveness and warmth made the whole experience a breeze -- he even took a look at some other fix-it needs around the house, and offered sage advice at no charge. Even my puppy loved him (which is saying a lot!). Wish I could give Ben six stars, he's truly top-notch. I'll definitely hire him in the future, and recommend him to friends.
