I highly recommend SmartFix, Mike the owner is an absolutely pleasure to work with. He was the 4th contractor I had come out to look at the repairs I needed done and the best of them by far! My Jacuzzi Tub leaked onto my first floor creating the need to have repairs. Mike and his team showed up on time, were friendly and professional. They repaired parts of my 1st floor ceiling and repainted the whole ceiling, repaired damage to my hardwood floors, repainted a few walls and installed a closet system. Not only did his team complete the job in two days but also under my budget. I have a few more jobs I need done in near future will be calling Mike again!

I had my kitchen redone. Everything from installing a new center island with a gas range and wall oven unit to a new backsplash with under cabinet lighting and high end tile flooring.

Joe and his crew exceeded our expectations many times over. Joe gave us a very detailed and precise estimate along with making us aware of all the possible design options as well as product options. Along the way he would also explain us things wherever needed with online videos, pictures and sometimes based from his experience. He spent significant amount of time to make sure we understood all the project details and were absolutely happy with the options we had selected.
Once the project begun, there was no looking back. Him and his crew were absolute professionals. Very punctual with their schedule, very precise with their work with great quality and no surprises on the way. They finished the project before schedule and within budget with superb quality.  Joe was always available over the phone and in person whenever needed for questions regarding the project. I wouldn't have asked for anything any different.

My building insurance requirements had frustrated other small contractors from doing a bathroom renovation. Nick was the only person who persevered in getting a plumber and the appropriate insurance together to get the job done.

For reference, I had him install mainline shut off valves (done by a plumber he brought), install 2 vanities, 2 medicine cabinets, 2 toilets, 2 ceiling and 3 wall light fixtures, replace damaged dry wall, and paint.

He gave me a fair estimate (based on other quotes) and did not take any deposit until he was approved by the building. He was willing to put a COVID shutdown clause in the contract. While a cost adjustment was made at the end, it was appropriate.

Overall I felt like the work was done very well, everything looked clean and his team did a good job installing numerous shut off valves on the main plumbing lines. He was also flexible with us. Our new vanity and toilet were delivered broken which we had not checked prior to him starting the project. It delayed the project for a day, but he didn't give me a hard time about this which was very nice. We had a small issue with the medicine cabinet and he came back within a week to fix it at no additional charge.

My subtraction of a half star is that I wish he had been a little more punctual and organized. There was some confusion during the work, but this was partially my fault and everything work out in the end. In hindsight, no matter who you hire, you should sit down with the person at the start of the renovation, go over the plan, check in, and be available to deal with issues.

Overall Nick did a really nice job, I felt that the pricing was fair, and I would hire him again in the future.

My husband and I purchased our first home in Jersey City in late 2018. During the process we were introduced to Danny, who came highly recommended by our agent. Our new house was built in 1890 and in a great condition for its age, but it still required some renovation to get it to a ready move-in state.

We had about 2 months from the closing date to get in the house. After doing the due diligence of triple bidding, Danny came back with the best quote. His great personality and obvious expertise didn't hurt as well - he knew his construction, materials, vendors and risks, which made a huge difference for us, first-time homeowners.

Danny is very easy to work with - he is responsive, a good communicator and sensitive to timelines and costs. In fact, Danny saved us a lot of money right off the bat by recommending the most economical materials and services with the best quality.

We counted on Danny for everything - from running and efficient reno operation to picking up materials and signing up for deliveries for us, when we were at work or out of town.

He agreed to a scope of work that included variety of fixes - from repairing walls and ceilings to laying new floors, replacing bathroom fixtures and repainting the entire house top to bottom.

The end result is stunning and we could not be happier with our first home. To this day Danny answers promptly to every single question I throw at him over text or email, despite the fact that he doesn't work for us any more.

I will most definitely work with Danny again, as soon as our next project is identified and funded.

Fabian and his partner where very kind from the moment they walked in to the moment they left. Very clean workers. They made sure everything was the way it was when they came. I was very proud to support this business as Fabian is a USMC vet. Take you sir for your service. Would recommend this business to other people.
