O and W did a great job of installing my security equipment. O and W is a Nest pro installer. O and W also installs air conditioners and furnaces. O was on time and installed the equipment in a timely fashion. The quality of his work was excellent. O also checked my furnace and replaced my April Air filter and made some nice changes to the drain hoses on my furnace. The guy is very very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend him for any job dealing with security and HVAC installations. The price was just right.

This review has been a long overdue. Eddie has been working with the Nice Ash Cigar Bar for roughly three years. In that time he has made a number of repairs to our old, failing dishwasher. We were at the point of the dishwasher's life cycle that he (Eddie) suggested a refurbished unit. We couldn't be happier with our decision!
Regardless of your business size, Eddie takes the time to know your business and it's demands. We have had a very enjoyable relationship built on trust and his ability to address and exceed our needs at a very fair price. If you've been let down by other repair services, I implore you to give Eddie and his business a chance!

I have some solid wood doors on a track in between my kitchen and family room. The track got bent up and Mike came over and took everything apart and installed a new track. I have to say he did a much better job than the people who originally put up the doors for me. He made sure the wheel would not run off the back of the track and he also installed stoppers. Mike was very professional and did a fantastic job. I will be using Mike as my handyman from here on out. Thank You :-)

Went to speak with owner about plumbing work. No call no show twice.
I wouldn't recommend this time wasting company.

Richard was very helpful and came to assist me. He explained how he would fix my problem (a repair that WE Energies found). I'm thankful and appreciative and will definitely contact Richard for future problems.

On November 16th, Mr. Hollands Heating and Air come to my home to fix my heating system. There was a $170 charge just to come to my house and diagnose the issue. I agreed to this charge.
I left a key for the technician. He called me a few hours later, told me what the problem was and that he had already fixed it. Then he told me that I would be charged $876 for the service. This included the $170 service charge. So roughly $700 for the part, labor and fix. The tech was at my house for about 1.5 hours from diagnosis to job finished.
The technician did not call me to tell me what was wrong before fixing the issue.
Once I got home I inspected the work that was done and I realized that a $100 part was changed out.
I called the following day to dispute the fact that I was not consulted about the diagnosis before the work was done. Had they told me, I would have known immediately that I could have fixed it myself with a $100 Menards run and 20 minutes of my own time. So to start the issues, I have no idea how they justify $700 for the part and labor.
They told me that they would come back to my house to remove the part and then they would give me a refund. Rather than giving me a deal or discount, their plan was to come back to my house and take the part that they installed back.
I offered a solution which was to refund me the labor that I did not agree to, and that they should just charge me for the part which I could prove was $100. They denied this offer.
The following week, a different technician came to my house to uninstall the part. I had gone to Menards, purchased the same part for $98. The technician was nice and was in my house for 13 minutes to remove the part. I then spent 15 minutes installing the same part I had purchased.
I called to follow up the next day to see when I could expect the refund to come through back on my card. I was told it should only take 3-5 days.
A week later I did not see the refund post, so I called again. A gentleman named Jerimiah told me that the refund had not yet been processed. He told me that they would be sending a check which was not previously discussed. I asked if they could just refund my card, and he agreed. I was told that it would be processed that day. Flash forward another 10 days and multiple unreturned phone calls, I still hadn't received my refund. I called again and spoke to someone else, explained the issue and that I was quite upset. She got me a refund within 1 hour (Finally, Thank you.) Absolute incompetence.
They did not call me to discuss the fix and charges before performing the work.
They charged me $700 for a $100 part and 1.5 hours of labor. I have seen their responses to other negative reviews stating that we must pay for the expertise and explaining and training. Sure, I get it, but $400 per hour labor?! That is the worst rip off I have ever heard.
Why not just leave the part and refund the labor in this case? The company spent even more money to send a tech to my house to remove it. I don't understand, and it further inconvenienced me on top of it.
After the original install date of 11/16, I did not get the refund processed to my account until 12/16. They held onto $700 of my money for a month. This was their mistake in the first place, and it took them 30 days to refund me.
I asked for the $170 service charge to be refunded. They did not refund me this. So, on top of the inconvenience, they wouldn't even do anything to try to make it a little easier on me. Nothing for my time and frustration. Nothing to compensate me for their multiple mistakes.
I wish there was more I could do to hold this company and their negligence accountable, but unfortunately, I can't.
I hope people read this and can think twice about using this company. The were kind and cordial on the phone and when they were in my house, but they dropped the ball at every turn.
Also in the picture of the part that they installed, the technician couldn't even screw the bottom cap on correctly.

Donn and Melissa kindly stepped in to help when the painter who SAID he did wood repair suddenly said he DIDN'T. They came over same day to look at and estimate the wood repair job, then rearranged their schedule a bit so the repair could be finished before the painters started. The estimate was detailed, itemized and included the products used on my home. Since wood is expensive right now, I got two bids. The other only came in $100 less and the individual was not nearly as personable or detailed as BV Handyman. I was unexpectedly called away to an out-of-town funeral and I was completely comfortable having Donn and Melissa do the work in my absence. Their communication through texting and pictures was excellent. They were respectful of my tenant. My boyfriend stopped by to check on the job and said everything was going great. Bottom line: Excellent work. Excellent customer service. Kind people. I will call them first next time!
