Best Heater Repair in Louisville KY
We currently have a home warranty and when our water heater began leaking we called to request service. Because our water heater is an 80-gallon we were assigned to Nine Line Services.
Service was scheduled quickly and our new water heater arrived in time for the plumber. The initial service took a few hours and our assigned plumber was very friendly and helpful to answer my husband's questions. I was working from home and appreciated the interruption and sound was minimal.
We did notice a bit of water leakage the following day. While disappointed we needed to spend more time on service, Nine Line came out immediately and replaced a bit of piping that was too weak for the new water heater. After the plumber finished the master plumber came out as well for a final evaluation.
We had a bit of an up-charge for the larger water heater. Payment was simple and we have a top of the line brand. Our water pressure and temperature has been wonderful.
So thankful for a smooth experience!

Used Stemler for a total kitchen renovation and to run a new gas line under my house. Stemler disconnected my old plumbing to get the renovation started. Once the new cabinets were installed they returned to install the new connections under the sink as well as install the new dishwasher. They also connected the new gas stove cooktop. In between both those events Stemler ran new gas service lines under my house and connected those lines to the gas meter bar outside. While they were here I had them install a new floor drain in my utility room.
I used Stemler based on some reviews as well as recommendations from friends.
I did experience a couple problems with part of the installations. However, when I called with my concerns, Stemler came right back as soon as possible and fixed all my concerns to my satisfaction.
Had I not had a couple installation problems, I would have given them 5 stars.
Stemler arrived on time each time they were scheduled.
I would use them again, and actually have, using them again this week to fix a severely leaking Roman Tub faucet.

Unresponsive after dispatched via home warranty provider. They called initially and left message but I called back 5-6 times over the course of a week - they never replied and never scheduled. Had to turn elsewhere for service.

Davis and Davis was hired to replace water line between meter and home, did most of job and left on 12/22. The trench dug to run the line was not completely refilled and they left my yard with huge holes and piles of dirt(pics available) Contacted Davis and Davis and said they were done. Told them about the state the yard was left in afterwards and they said that was all they do. Told them a backhoe for an hour could fix it and they refused again. One of the holes the trench left is immediately adjacent to the sidewalk and a safety hazard as well as the yard looking like a bomb went off. DO NOT use them for this type service. The workers who worked on the project were friendly and professional but the complete lack of ownership of the job not finished is dismaying. Sad that a local Company I heard good things about will not sand by/ finish their work.

We have been using John for years and the quality of the work he and his team do is excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend him. Kathy in the office is always pleasant and helpful. Because John is in high demand, we have had to wait a day or two in non-urgent situations, but it has been worth it to receive honest and dependable quality service from John and his team.

Had to replace a toilet on short notice. They came out the same day, which was great, but charged $266 for 15 minutes of work with no prior discussion of cost. I asked the guys installing beforehand how much it would be and all they could tell me was we don't handle that, they will send you an invoice. That is not a negligible amount, and I was very surprised by it. Maybe at least give your plumbers the ability to give customers estimates when asked.

Wish I could give 0 stars. The scheduling dept is a crapshow and the office rep was rude (except Asia, who was great and should look for a better place to work). I would advise to look somewhere else cuz my experience was a ridiculous waste of my time. Haha and I needed hvac work also but not calling these clowns

The guy from Koestel plumbing (I think his name was Gary?) was super friendly and professional. He came to fix my sink like really soon (the same day) after I called. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

When we bought our house in J-Town nearly 4 years ago we found out that the addition (added in '2000) had radiant heat. I was, like, AWESOME, because while fan-forced heat is the norm, bare feet on a heated floor is a pretty cool thing, especially in the cooler months.
Fast forward to a few weeks ago when Jim (that's me!) noticed that the floor wasn't warm, even though I'd turned the radiant heat on. Checking the circulation pumps I noticed the one for our bedroom was really but not circulating hot water. This makes for unhappy Jim, because the sole reason I go barefoot in the bedroom (did ya catch that pun?) is that I likes the warm on the feets.
As realization set it, I decided that as much as I could *try* to replace the circulation pumps myself (Jim is a pretty handy guy), but I didn't want to run into something that would have ended up costing me more to fix and if I'd have called an expert in the first place.
To the yellow pages I go (that's purely a figure of speech any more...seriously) to see abut getting the pumps replaced. I started w/Drexler (who replaced our HVAC system a couple years ago). -- They don't do radiant (or, as I've come to learn, Hydronic) heat.
I called Jarboe's -- Nope.
I called Maeser -- Nope.
After a few disappointing phone calls that weren't getting me any closer to warming my feet, I tried a different approach. Instead of calling and trying my luck, I called the local plumbing supply business and asked the question Who in the area services residential hydronic heating?. They had one answer.
Blackburn and Davis was that answer.
I called to see if I could get someone out to fix my cold feet problem and they said they'd give me a call on Monday morning to see when someone would be out. Monday morning I got a phone call and was told they'd be out that morning. Less than an hour later they were at my front door.
I let them in and told them what the problem was and he started to diagnose the issue. In less then 10 minutes he had figured it out, said he had the parts he needed on the truck, and gave me an estimate. A quick call to the wife to let her know what was going on, and they went right to work.
As I watched (I'm an observer, not the hover over a guy and ask a bunch of questions to slow him down kinda guy.) I could tell that he was experienced at replacing these pumps and knew what he was doing.
Remember when I said I thought about buying the pumps and doing it myself? I was about 2/3 of the way correct. One of the bolts from the old pump wouldn't come off, so he had to use a nifty little round electrical hand-held saw to for that part (Jim doesn't have one of those). There were also a couple other parts that were needed that Jim probably didn't have, either.
About 90 minutes later the pumps were replaced, the work area was cleaned up, and Jim's feet were warm again.
I definitely made the right choice in calling Blackburn and Davis.

It's been over a year, but it was a nightmare hiring this company. I hired them to fix a piece if fascia (gutter board) that had come undone from my roof line. They just hammered it back in, bending aluminum all along the fascia. A month later I had to hire a company to fix their job. They also attempted A plumbing job which I was charged over a thousand fir bThey cut holes in the tile, new commode and then left. This was after they no showed me on the job several times. Guess what?? I still had the blockage and had to call a different contractor. Worst experience ever

We have used Crestwood Plumbing for years. We've always been pleased with the company as a whole, for the most part. They employ one plumber that has consistently been assigned to our several properties this past year. We believe he is not at the level to run a job as their other plumber. Several jobs ago we trusted his recommendation and now we believe that was wrong. He then installed a water heater incorrectly (after the first one was also installed wrong and got ruined / we paid full price for both heaters). This past incident, his time spent here was trying to convince us to do MASSIVE destruction to our basement to look for the very thing right in front of him but he denied that was what we were telling him. He argued with us for several hours and we asked him to leave. We called another company out and bam, done. If Crestwood Plumbing did what they recommended we would have spent thousands and thousands of dollars not only on the job but the destruction of our basement! Then we got a bill for $550. After speaking with the office and them speaking with the owner, Jerry, it was cut in half. I requested reason for even a bill at all?!? They did NOTHING but argue about what they wanted to do. They were going to get back to us. They didn't. They sent us a new bill for half, $275.00. I called and spoke with Jerry. First of all, I do not appreciate being cussed at when I pointed out that his employee did nothing. He verbally agreed that I didn't have to pay anything with the condition we never call on them again (which was already a decision we made based on the last several calls). When I requested an updated invoice stating a closed ticket with a zero balance he (Jerry, the owner of Crestwood Plumbing) cussed at me again. He refused. Not only are we disappointed that a local, small company behaves in this manner we feel it to be neighborly that we warn our neighbors of the kind of business practice Crestwood Plumbing currently has. Be warned.
