Best Hot Water Recirculation Pump Installat… in Kansas City MO
A keeper. I recently moved into an older home with a somewhat recently installed furnace. The furnace had a bad exhaust fan so I called another company who came out and inspected it. After charging almost $80 for the inspection they tell me they don't have the part to fix it. So I called A&H. The tech suggested that I contact the manufacturer to see if there was a warranty on the furnace and the company indicated the furnace was out of warranty.
A&H, on their own contacted the manufacturer on my behalf and pointed out that based on their records the furnace should still be under warranty!! I ended up only paying for labor which I was glad to pay since the tech was a 1st-rate professional. Not only that but A&H helped transfer the warranty from the original owner to my name.
Blown away!

Great company with great service. I needed a new outside faucet added to the front of the house. I like to understand what I'm paying for so he explained everything to me simply, but without making me feel like I was ignorant. I went under the house to check up on things. Very clean and neat. Cleaned up after himself even under the house. Next time I need plumbing done I'm calling this company back.

50 bucks for a service call - no problem, but then...
Service guy said it would be 400.00 for a capacitor on a 5 year old a/c unit. That's right - FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR A TWENTY DOLLAR PART. Takes 5 minutes to change. I'll be filing a report with the better business bureau. I recommend any other company than them.

On Saturday another plumber was out and left us with no working bathroom sinks as water was pouring out of the hole that the 1st plumber made in the PVC pipe in the back bathroom. (This contractor was sent by our home warranty company.). Th guy left us with black stuff everywhere the sink was covered and half wiped off, the floor of the shower was covered and so was part of the floor.
I reached out to Benjamin Franklin Plumbing for an appointment after normal hours via Facebook. The next morning they reach my husband and scheduled it for that morning. These are the things I loved right off the bat:
1. They were quick to schedule.
2. They showed up in a timely manner.
3. They took the necessary time to look and diagnose the problem and showed it to us. (This did not take long but kept us in the loop.)
4. They did not leave the bathrooms in a mess.
Yes, they are not cheap. But they are quick, efficient, and proficient.
Did they fix the problem? No. We are just at the same place we were before the 1 plumber can. The recommendation solution is to replace the sinks' pipes to the stack. This is a long term solution. We had to go to a medical appointment that afternoon. Also, I really need to think about it a moment. Our Home warranty company will not even talk to us about the cash option they emailed us about. They want to send another contractor.
The company also replaced our stack several years ago. They did a great job.

Today, 3/2/2023, I had the worst, and only bad, experience with LBA Heating and Cooling I've ever had. After years of quality work, quick and accurate communications, this visit changed everything.
I called to schedule a kitchen faucet installation and furnace checkup and got it scheduled 3 days later. I asked about pricing for both and received a price on the furnace but only a callout fee on the faucet. I was told they could not quote faucet installs over the phone and the callout fee would be waived if I had the faucet installed, I scheduled both for the next morning.
Both techs were on time with calls ahead to make me aware of their arrival time. I got both techs working on what needed to be done and began discussing prices on furnace and faucet. The furnace was $47 (per coupon) per unit of which I have 2, the unquoted faucet turns out to be $500 with a $120 callout fee, so with the waived fee a total of $559 for just the faucet.
I took exception to faucet install price and began to understand why it was not quoted over the phone, for me it became a $120 donation for a callout that would never have happened had I had even an estimate told to me over the phone. For the record, this install is in an open, 3.5 year old home, clean kitchen, no obstructions, and easy access to all connections. If you ask, 'why not do it yourself?', primarily because of a hip operation 4.5 weeks ago, but once I heard LBA's price, I paid $120 and asked them to leave, grabbed my tools, and with great care, I did it myself in less than an hour and a half.
In summary, I have no problems with the techs, they were professional, timely, and the furnace was completed and charged as quoted. The plumber called his manager who offered a price of $459 which I still found to be high, and the tech moved on to his next appointment. The lasting feeling of being ambushed still haunts me. A minimum quote for any install could have been shared, a minimum and/or maximum, but to offer nothing until you're locked into a 'callout' fee of $120 upon hearing a quote of $500 in your home became a bitter pill to swallow.
