Direct source plumbing should be your ONLY option when considering assistance from a professional plumbing service. I have an older home and have called several services in the past, so I have a knowledgeable comparison of service in the DFW Metroplex. What I experienced when David and Kyle came out was uncompromised professional service. They went above and beyond to help me, and even educated me on do it yourself prevention. These men are kind, friendly, fair, experienced, but most of all Results Driven. Lastly, they are reasonably priced, and completely affordable, which is not often the case with local competitors. He quoted us an initial price and after he finished he said it wasn't as bad as he thought and charged us less than his initial quote. I was very impressed with the service provided by Professor Plumb!  Impeccable service from the initial phone call to the final repair.  

When I first inquired about service, I spoke with Amber.  She advised that I would receive a call approximately 30-35 minutes prior to my appointment.  This was really beneficial, as it allowed me to provide flexibility with my work schedule.  

My initial appointment was awesome.  The plumber (Blue) arrived on time and was very knowledgable.  He was personable, wanted to help, and truly cared about helping others.  He provided an estimate at no charge, recommended name brands to consider, and wanted to schedule with me before leaving to make sure my issue was resolved prior to Thanksgiving.

Blue arrived again today on time.  He made the repair, fielded additional questions, and even addressed a separate issue.  Blue is a great individual.  I highly recommend this company for any plumbing issues.

This time it was a clogged sewer vent pipe that was causing stoppage, but regardless given the fair and competitive price and the impeccable service and friendliness, there's no one I'd rather call.

Unclogged a kitchen sink with a backup far down the line. Even replaced our PVC under the sink. Same day service. A little expensive, but very professional and communicates well.

The plumbing work was fine, and the plumber worked quickly and did a nice job. The service was, however, very pricey.  The reason for only three stars is this company's estimation practice. Be aware that this company will not provide an estimate over the phone, or even a ballpark figure.  Instead, they will send their plumber out to do an estimate at your location, and they have a handbook of charges to provide the cost on site.  You are free to accept or not.  . I understand that they cannot give a firm estimate without seeing things first, but I believe they could give a range so that the customer can at least get an idea of the cost.  My plumbing work was very simple - installing a kitchen faucet and replacing the cutoff valve under the kitchen sink - the type of work not hard to quantify. I can't give more than three stars because of this practice., which is clearly designed to encourage the customer to accept what appeared to be an inflated price.

My late mother-in- law used Smith Plumbing for many years. My son moved into her house and was having problems with the drain in the kitchen and laundry area. A person from Smith told him he would need to remove the concrete in the garage so they could replace the drain. I did not feel comfortable with this so I got a second opinion from my plumber. He told us Smith had given my son the WRONG information. If my son had dug the hole in the garage we would have had a real mess. I will never use Smith again. Not only did they give incorrect information, but they did not seem to do the work.

They require %100 payment before the city inspection is complete. The plumbers are great though.

I recently had a tank-less water heater problem. Cody (not the owner, but I would recommend asking for him specifically) was at my door within hours was able to complete job. He had intelligent answers for all my (sometimes trivial) questions on the heater they had previously installed and other plumbing related components in my house.

I have had less that 5 star work completed by C&S previously and was reluctant to call back. Today, everything from the call to schedule and the work completed was professional, prompt, and thorough. I will not hesitate to call back or recommend to friends.

Gavin came and did a thorough job. He arrived a little ahead of schedule. He trouble shot the system to identify the source of the problem. I appreciate his clear communications and one can tell he has the knowledge to do this work. My kitchen sink was clogged so I went online requesting repairs from Roto-Rooter. NO RESPONSE...... I wonder if the company still exists. I don't understand how these repair shops operate but apparently they don't need my business.

Worst experience and Customer service ever!! I called them after I noticed my ac was not blowing cold air. Since they installed the unit less than five years ago I figured they can fix it. Technician came out and inspected the unit next day. Said I needed a part and there was a coil leak but will try and fix next day (for $1200 only for labor). Well LONG story short, it took 8 days to find out after talking to multiple people and them telling me I would get a call back from the parts manager David, (which I never did) that the part was not in yet and not sure when. 8 days without ac in the hot Texas summer is excruciating! Had to buy a portable ac unit just to manage. I finally got fed up with their bad customer service of waiting for a phone call to tell me what's going on with this part. I called another company, to which they said that NOTHING is wrong with my ac, just some dirt that was clumped up keeping the unit from working properly. Which they guy cleaned out and instantly I felt the air come back on!!!! I went 8 days without my ac unit because of Xtreme Air's technician. I feel like I was getting scammed by them and I will never ever go back to them. Only good thing out of this ordeal is that I found my forever ac company.
