Best A/C Repair in Greensboro NC

The work that was done was good. My issue is being charged for an additional 30 minutes for a job that I was already paying $125 an hour to do which had already taken two hours. I don't feel like i should've been charged an extra $62.50 for the 10 minutes over the two hour mark since this job could've been completed in two hours easily. Plus I had to drive 30 minutes to the store to get the valve stems myself, which I was still on the clock for. This was an integrity issue for me.

We have hired PF Plumbing twice now-- after being burned with an independent plumber we wanted a reputable company. Technician Matt helped us with both jobs. He was polite and respectful to our home as well as very knowledgeable in plumbing issues. With that being said he took the time to make sure we understood the process and problems. I'm not sure if they are the cheapest company you could hire but I do know from experience that you get what you pay for! The work they provide reflects the price.

Very polite young man when responding to request for plumbing repair I needed. Reç'd a call within two business dais.

Watch out for this company, they are a crook will charge you for coming out and not wanting to do the job, tech came out 3 hrs late and first thing told me was he did not have tool to take out cartridge in shower, please you are a plumber, he just didn't want to work late,. Then owner Richard had me call him, got mad because I put in bad review, threaten me. For writing review on BBB. Owner should take care of problem not threaten customers BEWARE. Better companies out there use at own risk. This was my first time using this company, I picked them because of good reviews, must have people he knows writing them up.

I called to report a badly clogged toilet. When the technician arrived, he actually lectured me about the correct way to use and flush the toilet (!!) Like everyone else in this country, I have been flushing toilets all my life, I'm not doing it incorrectly, and all I wanted was for him to FIX THE PROBLEM! I did not appreciate the editorial comments, which he seemed to think were funny. Will not use this company again. There are better options!

Dishonest and Does NOT Stand Behind Work
When my kitchen faucet started leaking, I called Sowers Plumbing to repair the leak. He came to my house and I ended up with a bill to fix an unrelated problem. He never gave me an estimate- just fixed it and charged me. I agreed to get a new faucet because he told me the one I had probably wouldn't last long. He told me he could get an all metal Delta faucet for $150- then the labor would be $190. When he came back to switch the faucets, he came with a much cheaper Moen faucet as a substitute. A google search showed that this same faucet was $89 at Lowes. He insisted on charging the same price , but would decrease the bill by $25 but it would void any warranty. If you need a plumber, call someone else.

If I could give them a 0 rating I would. I am forced to try and work with them because of my home warranty.  Waited around the first day from 8:30-1 and they never showed. I called and was rescheduled for 8:30-5 the following week (after waiting a week for my appointment). At 3:30pm after waiting all day they called and said no one was available to come and they needed to reschedule me (again). I stayed that was just unacceptable and was told they would pull someone off another job and he would be on his way. They never showed up. Called the next day and was told I would be called back within 30 minutes to be put on the schedule and no one ever called. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.  The worst part is now I have a second issue and guess who my home warranty scheduled?!

Avoid this business at all cost. My husband and I contacted this business for a bathroom renovation. We didn't end up going with him because response times were slow and we had a deadlines. But we did have a small project that we needed done that felt low risk. We needed new cabinet doors for our living room built ins. The quote was reasonable and we paid him and deposit. He took measured and took our old doors with him and we have no heard from him since months later. He stopped answering our calls. There is no where to leave a voicemail because the mailbox is always full. No one to take messages. What terrible business practices. Now we are moving out of the house that we originally contracted him to do work on and now have to pay someone else to complete the job that we paid a deposit on and never got the work done for. Avoid this business at all cost. He can not be trusted!

I have used ARS in the past, but today's experience will guarantee that I will NEVER use them again. I called the Durham NC office to have a technician visit due to Heat not working; my initial call was helpful b/c they referred me to Honeywell to have them check the thermostat first via phone call...after it was determined that a tech visit was needed, I scheduled a visit for today. tech came out and first told me thermostat needed replacement, and it would be $600 for a NEST. shocked at the price, I asked about the cost for a Honeywell thermostat.... also said $600 without missing a beat. Curious, since a simple look at Google/Lowe's/Amazon shows vastly different price points...even accounting for the requisite markup to make their money.

Tech then assessed system and said blower motor was failed due to clogged filter, and the cost is $889. Asked for a written estimate, and he aid he'll get one done. Went out to his truck and left ...no estimate.

After 5+ calls to the Durham office, conversations runaround from several folks, I was transferred to Ms Holly to complain about my visit/abrupt departure from tech. instead - I was sent to Voicemail. Called back twice, then got someone to email me an estimate... the estimate has no details, only part #s and prices. Frustrated beyond belief at the disregard for simple, straightforward communication and baseline customer service.

Reading other reviews, and it's clear that a pattern exists with this company...or at least the Durham location/franchise/branch/whatever you call it. Some research on Nextdoor showed additional poor reviews...wish I had paid attention to them before calling!

I wouldn't hire him again. He made a mess and didn't even unclog my line. Plus he missed the first appointment, that should have been a clue.
