Streamline Drain Cleaning and Plumbing

Totally honest and reasonably priced. Ray has helped me with a couple of different plumbing issues. One was an emergency..during that super cold winter when the temp went down to zero..I had issues with pipes that I didn't even know EXISTED behind the wall of my mudroom freezing. Water was entering my basement walls..it was a mess. He came as soon as he could. Cut into the wall and fixed the pipe. Explained that there was a pipe behind the wall for a washer/dryer--the previous owner never documented this or explained it to me (it's a very strange, rear-of-the-house mudroom that was an add-on.)

For the second visit, I had a sewage back up. He came and diagnosed it, and fixed it by cleaning up the sewer line under the street. Apparently, my home piping is pretty sturdy and modern, but the pipes under the street are old and thin. So I have to be careful what gets flushed down my toilet. Yet another thing the prior owner didn't inform me of, and I had to learn at a cost to paying Ray from Streamline to fix. At least he was reasonable!

I will definitely hire him again. In fact, I'm planning to contact him this weekend about a new water heater.

Ray wore a mask, communicated about his arrival time and was able to diagnose what was wrong with my drain pipes.

Just had great service today from Stream-line.

Had called a different plumber to come out first and fix the issue, we thought it was a pipe break or leak inside the house, but he diagnosed it as a blockage in the main sewer line out. Plumber 1 was unable to clear the block from the inside to the street and did not have the tools to go from the street up to the house.

I found Stream-line, they answered after 2 rings, gave me a window same day a few hours later. They were able to show up earlier and get to work right away. Explaining the issues as we went, Stream-line was able to clear the breakage from the street into the house and I saw, heard, and tested without any further issues. He also made sure to check from the street trap to the main sewer and to confirm no issues there. Very friendly and fast working, fair price.

Ray came out earlier than he told me he would--when does that ever happen with any technician? He fixed two leaky sinks (two different reasons for leaking though) in less than 1 hour. His prices were very fair and he explained each problem in a way that made me trust what he was doing. I have found my plumber!

I called this business because the first plumber I called was unable to unblock my sewer line and told me that the line was collapsed and in need of a total replacement that would cost me more than $10,000.

They arrived no later than 20 minutes after our conversation, and took the extra effort to go into the basement with heavy equipment and promptly unblocked the unblockable. I will use this service again!

I had a clogged drain this morning with a lot of backed up dirty water, not a great way to start the day.   We called a plumber to come and they wanted $800-$1200 to clear the drain. This was nuts so I sent them away.  I then found Ray at Stream-Line Drain and Plumbing Service.  They answered the phone when I called at 3:30 and we at my house by 4:45.  Ray was really nice, very knowledgeable, and super quick.  He knew where the clog was and made sure to clear all the way from the house to the main city sewer line.  It was $200 with a 90 day guarantee. Stream-Line worked the way you always hope companies will work but hardly every do.  I highly recommend Stream-Line if you have plumbing issues!

Left a message about needing a drain cleared in my back yard. Never got a return phone call. I don't get how businesses stay afloat when you ignore future paying customers. I guess my plumbing issue wasn't worth your time. It's too bad. I was excited to give you guys a call because of the good reviews but I guess some people were right, you don't return the phone calls. Hire a receptionist.

When the plumbing system in my house finally gave up on a Saturday morning, I called plumbers in the area. Ray was the only one who actually picked up the phone (!) and was available to come by the same day.
He arrived exactly at the time he had given me earlier and was friendly, explained things and resolved the issue quickly. Price was excellent and I would highly recommend Ray to friends and family!

While it wasn't the most pleasurable situation to be in with a clogged sewer line, it was a pleasure having someone taking care of it you trust.

I called this morning after looking for a drain cleaning and came across the reviews for Streamline. I was surprised at all of the great reviews, but despite my skepticism, decided to reach out. Ray was out to my place in 30 minutes. The job was more complicated that I had thought, but he stuck around to see it through. The service was exceptional and the price more than fair. I'm planning to steer all the business I can in his direction.

This should be your first stop in looking for drain cleaning. He's been in the business for many years and is even a master plumber. These are things that you appreciate when dealing with other contractors who may be well intentioned but less experienced (and often very expensive).

Our plumber showed up on time, was knowledgeable and explained everything to me. He gave me options was in and out in under an hour. Affordable, reliable, attentive, trustworthy. These guys are our new plumbing company.

Said they were going to show up at 10:30 a.m. Showed up at exactly 10:30. Told me the problem and had it fixed in an hour, for a reasonable price. Very happy with the service.

One takes for granted things like waste water going down the drain and disappearing. When it works, it works. When it ends up in the basement instead, though, it really affects your psyche, especially after more than one day. Fortunately, Ray was able to come to our house on a Saturday and he did a heroic job of unclogging a very stubborn sewer line. I admit to feeling like it was hopeless more than once, and that maybe I would never use the bathroom again, but he kept at it and now all systems are go. Water is flowing the direction it should, which is not into the basement. Ray was a pleasure to work with and I can't recommend him highly enough. 12/10

Wow, speedy and efficient service. I called Streamline and left a message on their machine. They called back within an hour, had someone at my door in a lucky ten minutes, and the job was done in an hour or less. Mind you, this was not an even an emergency call. &The price seemed pretty darn reasonable too.

I was hoping to leave a positive review for this business since other reviews and the overall rating is so good, but left a message over 24 hours ago and have yet to get a call back. Luckily I worked with someone tonight who was able to go above and beyond to help.

First of all,  a human answered the phone.  Our basement flooded after a severe rain storm. My husband was baling and we needed help quickly.  Ray came a little earlier than promised and after a few tests, unblocked the drain.  He also gave some tips so it wouldn't happen again.  Price was very reasonable.

I had a pipe valve burst behind my shower and it was leaking for several hours. I had it repaired but it uncovered/caused two additional leaks in my house, one of which made my bathroom unusable. I asked Ray to come out and give me a quote for some major work including replacing my sewer drain pipe from my second floor to the basement. He gave me a great quote and some advice for what needed to be done. I could tell that he was an expert at the work that needed to be done so I hired him to complete the work. He did an amazing job and I'll be calling him for any future plumbing work that is needed!!

Came within a half and hour. Stayed until the problem was solved. We had a backed up sewer line that was overflowing into our garage. Yuck! They assessed and addressed it thoroughly. Haven't had a problem since. Would definitely use them again.

Ray came out and fixed out sewer pump for our basement bathroom room. Can't be any happier he explained what was wrong and fixed it.  Ray was professional and knowledgeable about pumps and how they are used and should be maintained. He also installed a sewer pump alarm system so if the pump does stop working the alarm will go off. Will definitely call him back if have other plumbing problems.

I called to find out if this company replaced sump pumps.  My house backs into the woods and when it rains water comes up from the ground. We had the basement water proofed and had the pump put in when we bought the house. Every 10 years or so the pump starts running and doesn't stop unless we unplug it.
That usually means it has to be replaced.
The person I spoke with told me I had a clog in the drain. I explained the story to him. He told me to send him a picture. I did. I didn't work. I called back and he gave me an email address to send the picture. I did. It was undeliverable. I called again and he told me that I was breaking up...I was on a land line.  All this nonsense to get a quote!
I would not recommend this company or trust them.

We had problems on our sewage system and I read about Streamline Drain Cleaning through here in Yelp. I spoke to them this morning at 8am and sent me a technician named Ray. Very Friendly, Very Professional and Very Experienced. Fixed our clogged sewer in no time. Great Price compared to Roto Rooter. I will recommend this company to anybody that needs help on Plumbing. Gave us 3 months warranty on the service as well. Exellent!

I asked the owner who answered the phone if standing water in my sump pump basin was a problem.  I explained I couldn't open the covers and could he come take a look.  He did the ridiculous and cowardly guy thing - the kind of things that jerky guys do after a date.  ill call you right back when I could tell that he had absolutely no intention of doing any such thing.  Why couldn't he just say he wasn't interested.  Does that take too much courage?  This is indicative of a company you cannot trust.

Would strongly recommend that you DO NOT attempt to use Streamline Drain Cleaning & Plumbing.  I needed to plumber to take a look at something at my rental property in East Falls, and I made the mistake of buying a voucher via Yelp from this company.  After a dozen unreturned phone calls over a six-week span, I finally gave up.  I'm furious about spending money on the voucher - I feel scammed.  Go elsewhere for a faster response and better overall customer experience.

We bought an old home in the heart of Mt Airy, with old homes come old pipes and special care we didn't know much about.
We literally had a shitty pipe issue in the basement a week after moving in so we called some other company, BIG MISTAKE! A week later we had the same issue and were out a whole lotta money. So we called Streamline thanks to some of the other reviews on here. Once again, AMAZING! Ray was so nice and knew exactly what to do. He didn't even have to do some of the things the other guy insisted he had to do.
Within the hour the pipe was clear and we got a good education on how to take care of our old pipes. He was straight forward on the dos and donts of having a home with old pipes. He was honest and reliable. The service was great and the price was even better. Just a small fraction of what the previous con artist charged us.
We have definitely found our plumber and feel much more comfortable knowing that a knowledgeable professional is just a phone call away.

Great job! They answered our call right away and came out to see us within the same hour.  Our issue turned out to not to be a plumbing issue, but he still was able to figure out what it was for us! Totally would recommend!

I'm posting this review right after my Streamline appointment. I had to replace a malfunctioning garbage disposal in my trinity home in Bella Vista. Streamline was quick and responsive via phone and text. Earlier in the week before my appointment, I was patiently guided (via text) to selecting the best replacement model to buy. I was also texted the morning of my appointment to let me know that the technician was on his way. The labor was quick, clean, and efficient--I had a running drain and new garbage disposal within an hour. The technician was friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. The cost of the replacement was affordable. I highly recommend this business and plan on returning to them next month to put in a pump to address the low water pressure in the house. Thank you!

Awesome service! I called at 8:50 am, and Ray was over the same afternoon. I was running late, and Ray was kind enough to wait where others would have left onto other appointments. He knew exactly what to do, fixed the issue quickly (something like 20-30 minutes), and even provided a service guarantee! As others mentioned, his prices were fair, and Ray explained the issue and root cause. Most importantly, he told me how to prevent it from recurring. I found my plumber.

this review is long overdue but i forgot my yelp log-in.

On superbowl sunday my kitchen faucet had a slow drip. my boyfriend and i were overly confident in skills we don't have and thought we could fix it, which ended up making it a million times worse. there was now a steady stream coming out that wouldn't stop. so we are freaking out and come on here to find a plumber. we call this number and ray is unable to come out due to not being in the area because of a family death, but he knew that we had no idea what to do so he walked us through shutting the water off between phone calls and us texting him pictures. We scheduled for him to come out the next morning, but in the meantime he gave us a half hour of his expertise just because he was a nice guy who knew we needed help.

He came out the next day at the time we planned and was incredibly nice, explained what was wrong as he beautifully fixed the problem, gave us suggestions for the future, and top it all off, his services were very affordable! Definitely going to call him next time we need someone!

We called Ray during the holidays because of a water backup problem. He arrived two hours after the call with his equipment, and finished the work within one hour. He also unclogged our bathtub. He gave us many useful suggestions that would help us avoid problems in the future. Ray is a very nice and friendly person, and price was absolutely fair. I strongly recommend him.

Called Ray on Labor day evening in a bit of panic as water poured into our basement from a large pipe.  Ray answered the phone - wasn't even expecting that on a holiday and was at our house in 30 minutes.  Cleared the house trap outside causing the backup, gave us a plumbing 101  class and was on his way home in no time flat.  So happy and while I hope we don't need a plumber again, if we do our first call will be to Streamline.

Ray was easy to get in touch with and showed up the next day, on a Saturday. He gave me a rate before he showed up and did not try swindling us into a higher price even though he ended up spending a significant amount of time trying to get our main line unclogged. He was very persistent and got us all good to go. He is also pleasant. I explained to him that I don't know much about drains and sewers, since this is our first home. He explained everything he was doing as he went along. Some professionals take advantage of your ignorance, but I trusted Ray!

I found Ray on yelp and called him based on his reviews. He was on time and very professional. He determined that the scope of the job was much less then what we had asked him to do. He not only saved us a lot of money but he saved us a lot of headaches! I highly recommend him for his honesty, integrity and expertise!

I really cannot say anything more than Excellence when it comes to Ray and Streamline Drain Cleaning.  I just bought my house and on moving day I found a drain on an outside stairwell that was full of mud and leaves and mosquitoes and Full of water!  Needless to say, I was super concerned.  I went on Yelp and found Ray's business and booked an appointment.  Thank goodness I did!  He was SO professional and reasonable.   He spent a TON of time clearing out my drain and ensuring that it worked.  Repeated tests with water, vacuuming with his shop vac, plumbing snake equipment advancing....   After that, he talked to me about what I needed to do as a new home owner to prevent further recurrences.  I would absolutely recommend him to everyone in need of drain and plumbing issues.  I will definitely be using Ray and his business in the future if I have any future needs.

Ray will be the only plumber I will use and recommend from now on.  I've had him do 2 jobs so far and the service, work and price were great.  Each visit he would explain what he is doing, how the problem may have occurred and tips to avoid it in the future.

After playing around with a slow leak in my basement and listening to doomsday ($$$) scenarios from a well-meaning friend, I decided it was time to call the professionals! I found them here on Yelp...looked at their website, they included excavation on their services (part of the doomsday scenario), and they are local. I gave the office a call and Ray was here in less than an hour.  Immediately knew that all I had was a clogged sewer line.  He even looked at a snarky low0flush toilet for me too!  A small fee was paid, and I am a happy camper!

I recently had Ray fix a broken hose bib at my home.  He was prompt, fairly priced, and did a great job.  I will be sure to use him again in the future.

I was desperate when the sink in my basement kitchen was overflowing! I called a little after 8am and was given a service window between 9-9:30am. Ray, the OWNER, arrived around 9:15. He assessed the situation and started work immediately. The job was finished within 25 minutes. Not only am I satisfied with the work, but truly impressed with the customer service. I'm keeping this number handy!  Ray from Streamline Plumbing was very professional, and showed up promptly at the time he said he would show up at my door.  Had a nasty water heater problem, water everywhere.  He cleaned up, took my old water heater out and installed the new one in no time.  I was very impressed with his courtesy, professionalism and very personable.  I definitely recommend Streamline for plumbing issues!  Ray's your man.

Ray is a great guy, has a good heart too. He came to our place to just changed something in our toilet bowl and it became a big job, he was very patient about it. Then he had to replace our kitchen faucet after that big job and of course when we opened the box of supposedly new faucet from Lowe's, it was missing parts...and so I have to go back to Lowe's to bring it back and get a new one. Ray never left me stranded, took a quick break and got back to do the job as soon as I got a new faucet. No wonder he has wonderful reviews, he is very professional and efficient!!  Thanks Ray!

Okay picture this. A new homeowner foolishly turns off the heat in his house and goes on vacation unaware of the looming cold snap of the century. Of course he returns to a house of frozen pipes, but thanks to the internet he successfully thaws everything except for the shower faucet that breaks and begins to spew water down the wall into the first floor ceiling. Since it was the cold snap of the century and the city was full of broken pipes, no plumbers were available to the new homeowner until 3 days later, at which time he was sure that is house would be a frozen waterlogged wreck. Stream Line couldn't come that night either, but what Ray did do was walk me through the process of finding the inside water main to stop the flood of water down the inside my walls, identifying a Pressure Balance Rough Volume Control Valve Body, and fixing it myself. Not only that, but he came by the next day, congratulated my progress and inspected my work, all for the best price possible. The man is an angel. He saved my property and my sanity. Thank you, Ray.

Ray is awesome! He just goes above and beyond. We weren't sure at first where the leak might have come from in our salon so we initially called in the pedicure chair company's repairman. The man arrived late and asked us to pay him quarters for his parking meter before anything started. After about 20 minutes or so he tells us that he doesn't know where the source was coming from. That there was nothing he could do & had absolutely no idea what the problem was. He then proceeded to continue charging us $150 anyway just for coming out. Not only that, he had the nerve to try & sell us their annual yearly membership plan... his exact words were This way, it'll be cheaper for repairs later on. $500 now, free inspections year round. We felt cheated and furious yet later that day Ray came. He arrived promptly & was nice and easy going. He checked the chairs and even the basement downstairs. He stayed and inspected our pipes and tested out each individual chair's water-flow. He also concluded that there doesn't seem to be a problem with the pipes but offered a practical possibility and solution. Thankful for his advice, we asked how much at the end of his service. He just handed us a business card and told us Call me if you have any problems in the future, I'm just one call away, Have a good day. We were stunned and grateful. It's a rare occasion when you meet real people that are passionate about their business and yet filled with enough compassion to truly care & not just soaked in their own greed. Thanks Ray! Ray from Streamline is the best!!!

Unfortunately, my very old kitchen was built with the sink by the back wall of my house with no insulation in the wall or under the sink. This obviously leads to major plumbing issues related to cold weather. Yesterday the pipe under my sink cracked and once again, Ray came to my rescue. I called him at 6 PM last night and he came out this morning at 9:30. I cannot express how fantastic Ray is, and believe me, I am a tough person to please. He completed the work in a timely manner plus he is extremely reasonably priced. If you need plumbing and sewer work, do not look any further. I guarantee you will love Ray and the work he does. He is a genuinely lovely person plus he really knows what he is doing. I don't know what I would do without Streamline.

Streamline really helped us out in a crisis. We just bought a house and on move in day black water was coming up from our shower when we flushed the toilet. I got his name from yelp. He troubleshot it on the phone. Ray Told us it was a clogged sewer drain outside and he would be over in a couple of hours! He came and fixed it, explained everything, showed us the drain in the street. He even called later to make sure it was all good! Excellent service. I would definately use him again for our home and other rental properties we own!

Perhaps the most honorable tradesman I have ever dealt with.  Our bathroom drains appeared to be backed up with a stubborn clog.  Ray spent nearly 2 hours working on it with some heavy duty equipment.  I mean he put his EVERYTHING into fixing this.  In the end, it seemed as if it was more of a building wide issue that he could not access.  In fact, the source might be located in an adjacent building.  Instead of charging us a small fortune for his time and hard labor, he was incredibly honest and decent about the situation.  I can't say I encounter such honesty and goodwill too often these days especially when it comes to inviting plumbers and technicians into my home.  Needless to say, I would not call anyone else if I had another plumbing issue to address.

What an experience!  You can't ask for a better, more honest plumber. I was having sporadic drain problems and had a few plumbers come out over the past year.  The diagnosis was everything from cracked to broken pipe. I called Streamline Drain Cleaning and Plumbing (because of the positive reviews) to get a final assessment before taking the steps to start a big, expensive project to replace what I was told was a broken pipe.  Ray came out, extemely professional and knowledgeable, spent close to an hour working on the drain and let me know it was a shifted trap (which was normal for where I live) and that nothing was broken or needed to be replaced. He also provided some great tips on how to prevent the drain from clogging.  What a blessing!! Finding a plumber that will take his time, talk you though the problem and will be honest with his assessment. If you are even remotely thinking about calling Streamline Drain Cleaning & Plumbing for your plumbing problems I would strongly recommend them.  PS...price was very reasonable.

So Dopey Dwarf {that would be me for now) recently purchased her first home, moved in immediately following a blizzard and went a way for a long weekend during the first hard freeze of the season.  In all of the excitement and her dopiness, Dopey likely did not leave the furnace running at a high enough temp to keep the water circulating fast enough through the return pipes that extend outside into the garage. Dopey returns after the extreme weather event (convenient) to find that the radiators were not putting out heat (inconvenient). Dopey went into the basement at 1:00am to fill the furnace with water only to hear water splashing outside in the garage (very inconvenient). Later that day Dopey called an HVAC technician to fix whatever the issue was, only to be told by a Dopier Dopey that the pipe had to be repaired by a plumber (annoyingly inconvenient). Dopey checked Yelp and saw all of these great reviews for Streamline Drain and Plumbing Service. Feeling a little less Dopey she gave Streamline a call. Ray, the owner, first took time to actually answer the phone and then exhibited great patience as Dopey fumbled through the diagnosis of what she had been told the issue was. Instead of blowing her off, Ray asked for a picture of the pipe to better understand  the problem and came out pretty quickly to get a better look.   Of course, because a plumber was on site, a new leak decided to surface. Not only did Ray find the location of the crack in return pipe (which was not where Dopier Dwarf said it was), Ray also gave extra time to finding the source of the other leak and repairing that one also without busting  Dopey's (now Happy Dwarf) bank account. Being a new home owner and a single female, Happy has recently had to deal with a number of contractors (whom we''ll refer to as Crappy Dwarfs since Happy  found them to be untrustworthy and conniving). To meet and work with Ray who is obviously motivated by integrity was quite refreshing.  Happy is not hoping to need any repairs anytime soon, but if her house springs any leaks, she'll spring for Ray.

Awesome service! Called Ray tonight at 6 for a sewer backup and he came out right away. He worked tirelessly and methodically until sewer line was all cleared out.  We are so grateful! Highly recommend him!
