HISTORY


Established in 1987.
Back in 1987, Lo-Ann and Chris Davis opened The WireNut yet never imagined they'd open up such a successful electrical contracting business. In 2002, the duo rebranded the company to Spotlight Electric and have been servicing residential and commercial customers all over the Southern New Jersey for over 30 years. Spotlight Electric operates on one motto, our customers come first. We take great pride in providing superior service and workmanship and have built our reputation on always getting the job done right. There is no job too big or too small and we are fully licensed and insured for all types of electrical work.

ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER


Lo-Ann is the Owner & Head of Client Service Operations for Spotlight Electric. Lo-Ann started the business alongside her husband Chris, Spotlight's Head Electrician with 30 years of wiring experience! There is not one electrical issue that Spotlight Electric cannot handle.

I had a Nest learning thermostat installed. Everyone from the receptionist who takes and schedules your appointment to the technician were simply awesome. Thru even send you several emails/text messages. My installer was Mr. Williams, he was friendly, professional and very helpful with assisting me with loading the application on my phone. I can't say enough about this company. I will both be using them for future projects and recommending. Lastly they work with your schedule. I needed a 6-6:30am, they were there on time. Great company

They charge a $29 fee just to make an appointment.  They charged $90 by the half hour. I thought they had done a good job, until I discovered that, thanks to a review of my outdoor security camera, I was charged an extra hour and a half for loafing around.

Had an appointment for an estimate. After an hour past the appointment time, I called to see what happened. They blamed the missed appointment on the coronavirus. That's fine, I'm understandable if things are a little unstable during these times, but a simple phone call could have been made. And it's not like I had an early morning appointment. I was scheduled for 3pm so the entire day went by without the common courtesy of letting me know they couldn't keep the appointment. To make matters worse, I told them about my experience a few days prior about another no call no show and I was assured they didn't do things that way! Yeah right...

An absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish.  They diagnose, explain what needs to be done and get it done in a timely manner.  I look forward to using them again when I need electrical work!

NOT DEPENDABLE !! Asked them to do an estimate for a broken whole house fan. A guy came to my house on September 24th. I was charged 179.00 + tax for a guy to look at my whole house fan. Nice guy, no problems with him. But if you are going to spend 179 dollars just for someone to spend a few minutes diagnosing, the hope is the company will finish the job and it will be a good investment. Texted the owner on 9/30 because I had not heard anything. She said she would send the estimated that day. Didn't happen. Texted the owner on October 7. No answer. Texted the owner on October 9. Owner said she would text it to me that day. Never happened. Don't tell a customer you will send them an estimate if you cannot send them an estimate and don't charge a person 179.00 to diagnose a problem if you do not intend to fix it. I texted them the evening October 14th at 7:16pm. I received a text after 10:30 that night stating that they would call me the next morning. I was not called the next morning. I am done.
